A twisted, pale figure writhing in agony, chest bare and hideous. Tight, rigid cords of sickly green veins webbed across the boy's body and limbs, like ropes under his skin. Purplish bruises covered the kid, red hives, bloody scratches. His bloodshot eyes bulged, darting back and forth. ~ James Dashner
Science Fiction quotes by James Dashner
Oh, oh. My heart starts that quivering, fluttering thing it does whenever he hints at his desire for me. Lacing his fingers through mine, he moves to close the gap between us. I know he's only holding my hand, but it's the manner in which his fingers curl around mine, and the way his eyes bore into me that makes it seem much more intimate. ~ Siobhan Davis
Science Fiction quotes by Siobhan Davis
The wages Haiti requires by law belong in the department of science fiction: actual wages on coffee plantations vary from $.07 to $.15 a day ~ Eduardo Galeano
Science Fiction quotes by Eduardo Galeano

Science Fiction quotes by Halo Scot
For once, I'd love if someone reacted unpredictably to death. Chant or somersault or fucking yodel to show me you have a mind of your own. ~ Halo Scot

Science Fiction quotes by Jaleigh Johnson
I have been a soreheaded occupant of a file drawer labeled "science fiction" ... and I would like out, particularly since so many serious critics regularly mistake the drawer for a urinal. ~ Kurt Vonnegut
Science Fiction quotes by Kurt Vonnegut
I have a story to tell. It is a tale for those who can still see, can still question.

A story of where you are and how you got here. A tale foretold by your poets and prophets through the ages. Read their words, their thoughts, so that you may understand. ~ W.H. Wisecarver
Science Fiction quotes by W.H. Wisecarver
If I'm desperate, I'll read anything. But even when I can be choosy, I still have no hard-and-fast rules. I have rules about what I won't read, rather than what I will. No science fiction, no romance, no chick lit. Although even these rules can be broken. ~ Sonya Hartnett
Science Fiction quotes by Sonya Hartnett
If you don't care about science enough to be interested in it on its own, you shouldn't try to write hard science fiction. You can write like Ray Bradbury and Harlan Ellison as much as you want. ~ Frederik Pohl
Science Fiction quotes by Frederik Pohl
Ty is green but never with envy. Best of all, he's usually available to help move a heavy piece of furniture. ~ John Hopkins
Science Fiction quotes by John Hopkins
Starting on February 1, 2010, and running through until May 30, I will be Toronto Public Library's Writer in Residence, working out of the Merril Collection of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Speculation at the Lillian H. Smith branch at College and Spadina. ~ Karl Schroeder
Science Fiction quotes by Karl Schroeder
Another oral exam, huh?' Peter said.
'Shut up, Peter,' said Valentine.
'You should relax and enjoy it,' said Peter. 'It could be worse.'
'I don't know how.'
'It could be an anal exam. ~ Orson Scott Card
Science Fiction quotes by Orson Scott Card
Space is infinite. To the mind that means freedom, liberation.' So wrote Arisko, our greatest turkle philosopher, in his most famous work, 'Thoughts In A Bathtub'," said Dottia, dreamily, in an inspired state. ~ Philip Dodd
Science Fiction quotes by Philip Dodd
I got to spend all of my time every day at work reading and editing papers about cutting-edge technical research and getting paid for it. Then I'd go home at night and turn what I learned into science fiction stories. ~ Kevin J. Anderson
Science Fiction quotes by Kevin J. Anderson
«"I meant, tell me all about this steampunk thing!" Gavin broke in. "How does that concept work out for you people, here in Brazil?"
"You don't know about steampunk?" shouted Xavier, dubiously.
"Well, I don't read many novels! Because I'm kinda fully-booked already! But, obviously, you're a science fiction writer at a Futurist conference! And I can see that you're all dressed up like some fancy guy from the past, from the 19th century! So what gives with that? What is all that about?"» ~ Bruce Sterling
Science Fiction quotes by Bruce Sterling
Humans were still not only the cheapest robots around, but also, for many tasks, the only robots that could do the job. They were self-reproducing robots too. They showed up and worked generation after generation; give them 3000 calories a day and a few amenities, a little time off, and a strong jolt of fear, and you could work them at almost anything. Give them some ameliorative drugs and you had a working class, reified and coglike. ~ Kim Stanley Robinson
Science Fiction quotes by Kim Stanley Robinson
If you're going to make a science fiction movie, then have a hover craft chase, for God's sake. ~ Joss Whedon
Science Fiction quotes by Joss Whedon
In other news, It's seven sols till the harvest, and I still haven't prepared. For starters, I need to make a hoe. Also, I need to make an outdoor shed for the potatoes. I can't just pile them up outside. The next major storm would cause The Great Martian Potato Migration. ~ Andy Weir
Science Fiction quotes by Andy Weir
We have always been herbalists and healers, Trad... ~ Trevor Alan Foris
Science Fiction quotes by Trevor Alan Foris
Science fiction is fantasy with bolts painted on outside. ~ Terry Pratchett
Science Fiction quotes by Terry Pratchett
In a dispassionate comparison of the relative values of human and robotic spaceflight, the only surviving motivation for continuing human spaceflight is the ideology of adventure. But only a tiny number of Earth's six billion inhabitants are direct participants. For the rest of us, the adventure is vicarious and akin to that of watching a science fiction movie. At the end of the day, I ask myself whether the huge national commitment of technical talent to human spaceflight and the ever-present potential for the loss of precious human life are really justifiable. ~ James Van Allen
Science Fiction quotes by James Van Allen
The cell wanted to overthrow the government and to do that, they were hurting their own people. Draden had never seen the logic in that, how could they convince themselves that what they were doing was justified because they believed in the endgame. ~ Christine Feehan
Science Fiction quotes by Christine Feehan
I bet you both are familiar with the purpose of a blast door and what it does to laser rounds? If I fire a laser round in here on an angle and then close this door that sucker is going to bounce around in there with you. Might even go through you a few times, make some holes. It's called fire-boarding by pirates and slavers, they use it to torture their victims. Sometimes they actually bet on how long a man will survive. I heard rumor the longest was about a day and a half for one fellow before the round finally ripped through his heart and finished him off. The cold helps keep the blood thick so you don't bleed out as fast. I'm willing to bet if I adjust this blaster a bit I can get it so you live longer than that. Nice radiation burns, loss of a few appendages, and who knows? Maybe you'll get a lucky bounce that will hit you in the heart or the head or maybe you'll just be praying that that next bounce is the one that will end it all. So who wants to avoid all that unpleasantness and tell me where my Sergeant is being taken?" - Reilly Campbell ~ J.J. Snow
Science Fiction quotes by J.J. Snow
Fantastic accomplishments seem like something unattainable and everyone doing the extraordinary seems to be unlike you until YOU do something amazing. Then you realize those talented, heroic leaders are not different from you in any important way." Clara Branon, Ph.D., "This Is/Is Not the Way I Thought Things Would Change," Volume III, "The Spanners Series ~ Sally Ember

Science Fiction quotes by Justin Cronin
A whore is a whore is a whore.
Except when he's something else completely.
From the writings of King Helios Dayspring, High Priest of the Temple of the Sun ~ Belinda McBride
Science Fiction quotes by Belinda McBride
A five-week sand blizzard?" said Deep Thought haughtily. "You ask this of me who have contemplated the very vectors of the atoms in the Big Bang itself? Molest me not with this pocket calculator stuff. ~ Douglas Adams
Science Fiction quotes by Douglas Adams
I don't write science fiction. I've only done one science fiction book and that's Fahrenheit 451, based on reality. Science fiction is a depiction of the real. Fantasy is a depiction of the unreal. ~ Ray Bradbury
Science Fiction quotes by Ray Bradbury
For me, two of my favourite science fiction films are Blade Runner, which is fantastic, and Terry Gilliam's Twelve Monkeys. Both of those were smart science fiction films hitting more of a medium budget, and I desperately hope there is an audience for that kind of film because I would love that to be my next film, on that kind of scale. ~ Duncan Jones
Science Fiction quotes by Duncan Jones
Forget what Queen Manevola wants" said a voice above her sounding deep and grotesque. "I won't be wasting this one when her blood smells so good!"

"Jacobse! Wait!"

Suddenly, loud and obliterating gunshots encircled the room and shattered the windows. The vampires hissed.

"Vampires. Your rebellion against the Time Queen, her highness Justina Reina, will not go unpunished."

A cacophony of firing followed. ~ Bellatuscana
Science Fiction quotes by Bellatuscana
I'm not frightened by the advent of intelligent machines. It's the sarcastic ones that worry me. ~ Quentin R. Bufogle
Science Fiction quotes by Quentin R. Bufogle
Science fiction is a dialogue, a tennis match, in which the Idea is volleyed from one side of the net to the other. Ridiculous to say that someone 'stole' an idea: no, no, a thousand times no. The point is the volley, and how it's carried, and what statement is made by the answering 'statement.' In other words - if Burroughs initiates a time-gate and says it works randomly, and then Norton has time gates confounded with the Perilous Seat, the Siege Perilous of the Round Table, and locates it in a bar on a rainy night - do you see both the humor and the volley in the tennis match? ~ C.J. Cherryh
Science Fiction quotes by C.J. Cherryh
When I was 14, I thought, 'How wonderful to be a science fiction writer. I'd like to do that.' I have never lost touch with that ambitious 14-year-old, and I can't help chuckling and thinking, 'You did it, and you did it right.' ~ Robert Silverberg
Science Fiction quotes by Robert Silverberg
I was always fascinated by science-fiction shows, shows like 'Star Trek' and 'Lost in Space.' ~ Michael P. Anderson
Science Fiction quotes by Michael P. Anderson
This is the fiction that I'm referring to as rhapsody, this stitching of mimetic representation, oneiric imagery, ludic rules, allegoric morals, satiric critique and diegetic story into complex quiltings of narrative. ~ Hal Duncan
Science Fiction quotes by Hal Duncan
Thus and thus is the world. Seeing the depth, we shall see also the height, and praise both. ~ Olaf Stapledon
Science Fiction quotes by Olaf Stapledon
Science fiction, as I mentioned before, writes about what is neither impossible nor possible; the fact is that, when the question of possibility comes up in science fiction, the author can only reply that nobody knows. We haven't been there yet. We haven't discovered that yet. Science fiction hasn't happened. ~ Joanna Russ
Science Fiction quotes by Joanna Russ
The transition from subject to observer was instantaneous, sensations, sights, and sounds changing from instruments of torment to a fascinating display of electronic signals. The spectra included thousands of frequencies, visual, audio and psi bands alike, each customized for a specific effect, a pseudo symphony for an audience of one. ~ Marcha A. Fox
Science Fiction quotes by Marcha A. Fox
Questions are fiction, and answers are anything from more fiction to science-fiction. ~ Saul Steinberg
Science Fiction quotes by Saul Steinberg
Technology has enabled government to have investigative and situational awareness on a scale and scope that were science fiction when the Stasi shut its doors. ~ Yochai Benkler
Science Fiction quotes by Yochai Benkler
A stitch in time saves uncontrollable blood loss ~ Simon Haynes
Science Fiction quotes by Simon Haynes
My approach to 'Star Trek' was, 'I know science fiction, and I know screen writing.' That was very arrogant of me, but you really need to be a little bit arrogant to think that what you have to say is good enough to justify the expense of hundreds of thousands - now millions of dollars - to make an episode of the TV show. ~ David Gerrold
Science Fiction quotes by David Gerrold
I've always loved massive worlds, whether in fantasy or science fiction. I like the idea of making my own rules as well as utilizing everything that I love or inspires me. It's very freeing to know you can write a story that can be as big as your own imagination. ~ Victoria Aveyard
Science Fiction quotes by Victoria Aveyard
Without ethics, science would be cruelty. ~ Nenia Campbell
Science Fiction quotes by Nenia Campbell
It is not for nothing that you are named Ransom," said the Voice ...
The whole distinction between things accidental and things designed, like the distinction between fact and myth, was purely terrestrial. The pattern is so large that within the little frame of earthly experience there appear pieces of it between which we can see no connection, and other pieces between which we can. Hence we rightly, for our sue, distinguish the accidental from the essential. But step outside that frame and the distinction drops down into the void, fluttering useless wings. He had been forced out of the frame, caught up into the larger pattern ... "My name also is Ransom," said the Voice. ~ C.S. Lewis
Science Fiction quotes by C.S. Lewis
I could speculate, but it would be just speculation and the kind of thing that you would get in with a science fiction story. And if I was doing a science fiction story then I would come up with what can go wrong with this system. ~ Gene Wolfe
Science Fiction quotes by Gene Wolfe

"I have 9022 gods listed in my database. Must I thank all of them? ~ Maureen A. Miller
Science Fiction quotes by Maureen A. Miller
Science fiction is very well suited to asking philosophical questions; questions about the nature of reality, what it means to be human, how do we know the things that we think we know. ~ Ted Chiang
Science Fiction quotes by Ted Chiang
The Idoni Primor's gaze fell on Eren immediately. Her head tilted in idle curiosity while a fingertip dipped into a crystal bowl beside her. "I know your face, anarch."

She brought her fingertip to her mouth and sucked it dry of gods only feared what hypnol. "You have been a most troublesome little asi of late. Have you come here to repent, to fall to your knees and beg to be allowed to return to the fold? Fair warning - you'll be on those knees for a while. ~ G.S. Jennsen
Science Fiction quotes by G.S. Jennsen
In France, it's always about life, normal life. We always stick with these realistic things. So when French people are dreaming about American movies, they go and see the thrillers, and Westerns, and science fiction, huge entertaining movies. ~ Berenice Bejo
Science Fiction quotes by Berenice Bejo
Alex thrust her hand and half her arm into the labyrinth of light.
Her stare blanked, and in the halo of the matrix her eyes and glyphs blazed so radiantly she looked as if she were being consumed by a primordial fire.

"She just stuck her hand into Machim Command's central server matrix!"

Caleb smiled, watching on in blatant awe. "She does that. ~ G.S. Jennsen
Science Fiction quotes by G.S. Jennsen
Time keeps ticking away, unaware of the suffering each second generates. Time doesn't care, because if it did, it would've reversed. ~ Laura Kreitzer
Science Fiction quotes by Laura Kreitzer
You know how sometimes you tell yourself that you have a choice, but really you don't have a choice? Just because there are alternatives doesn't mean they apply to you. ~ Rick Yancey
Science Fiction quotes by Rick Yancey
Then, as Father had trained him, Rigg thought past his feelings. ~ Orson Scott Card
Science Fiction quotes by Orson Scott Card
People were so often mean that when they weren't, there was a tendency to bestow sainthood upon them. Aster did not reward common decency with her affection. ~ Rivers Solomon
Science Fiction quotes by Rivers Solomon
One can lose themselves in the twilight, when there are no colors to guide the way. ~ Vanna Smythe
Science Fiction quotes by Vanna Smythe
Jane sobbed even harder, not noticing the sounds of footsteps coming up behind her. A cold wind blew, and she shivered in it. As her eyes hung between tears, she looked out and saw a shape where the car had been. It was a figure, slim and wrapped in a gray shroud. Almost the whole body was covered, save for a single blue eye that stared at her intently. Jane stared back until she felt a warm hand touch her shoulder and a cold voice whisper in her ear.
"You are never alone. ~ Eric Nierstedt
Science Fiction quotes by Eric Nierstedt
When I began to write fiction that I knew would be published as science fiction, [and] part of what I brought to it was the critical knowledge that science fiction was always about the period in which it was written. ~ William Gibson
Science Fiction quotes by William Gibson
During a late evening briefing, Jimmy listened as Harford told the group they would be teleporting. Harford's briefing didn't extend beyond saying the men might experience nausea, mild dizziness, and garbled sounds, and he couldn't tell them more because each person's experience of teleportation was unique. At last, Jimmy would find out what it was like, though the recent conversation with Vicar played on his mind. He wanted the answer to the one question that nagged him, but in the end, he didn't ask how many men had died during teleportation. He reasoned that Harford wouldn't tell him. ~ J.M. Johnson
Science Fiction quotes by J.M. Johnson
There was a period that black film had no chance of making it in Hollywood. So, people just made the made the statements that they wanted to make. Whether it was a science fiction film or whatever, b/c they were just making movie for themselves. Then there was a period where people were creating projects as their Hollywood audition 'pieces'. I feel that today we are moving back to the era where we all have our own voices. ~ Reginald Hudlin
Science Fiction quotes by Reginald Hudlin
The difference between science fiction and fantasy ... is simply this: science fiction has rivets and fantasy has trees. ~ Orson Scott Card
Science Fiction quotes by Orson Scott Card
In every other science fiction series, humans are at the top of the food chain. In the 'Babylon 5' universe, they're in the bottom third. ~ J. Michael Straczynski
Science Fiction quotes by J. Michael Straczynski
Lieutenant Mortas is the black sheep of the family--I thought you knew that. ~ Henry V. O'Neil
Science Fiction quotes by Henry V. O'Neil
Can't I just say it's magic? - Charlie Blue ~ Geoffrey Thorne
Science Fiction quotes by Geoffrey Thorne
Look in Kego's defense he was only Nine and a half when he took command of the ship and she had been put way off course by her captain and you lot would all be dead if it wasn't for him.
Jenny Smith In The Navigator by Steve Merrick ~ Steve Merrick
Science Fiction quotes by Steve Merrick
If there was anything the last year had taught her - if there was anything Caleb had taught her, the Metigen War had taught her - it was that perspective was everything.

If you wanted to understand your enemy, you must understand that they were the hero in their own story. ~ G.S. Jennsen
Science Fiction quotes by G.S. Jennsen
People often seem surprised that I choose to write science fiction and fantasy - I think they expect a history professor to write historical fiction, or literary fiction, associating academia with the kinds of novels that academic lit critics prefer. But I feel that speculative fiction, especially science fiction and fantasy, is a lot more like the pre-modern literature I spend most of my time studying than most modern literature is. Ursula Le Guin has described speculative fiction authors as "realists of a larger reality" because we imagine other ways of being, alternatives to how people live now, different worlds, and raise questions about hope and change and possibilities that different worlds contain.

....

Writing for a more distant audience, authors tended to be speculative, using exotic perspectives, fantastic creatures, imaginary lands, allegories, prophecies, stories within stories, techniques which, like science fiction and fantasy, use alternatives rather than one reality in order to ask questions, not about the way things are, but about plural ways things have been and could be. Such works have an empathy across time, expecting and welcoming an audience as alien as the other worlds that they describe. When I read Voltaire responding to Francis Bacon, responding to Petrarch, responding to Boethius, responding to Seneca, responding to Plutarch, I want to respond to them too, to pass it on. So it makes sense to me to answer in the genre people ha ~ Ada Palmer
Science Fiction quotes by Ada Palmer
When he flashed that rockin' smile of his again, I couldn't help but think that me being cute was what might be crossing his mind. Then again, maybe he thought I was a dumbass. Either way, he smiled, which was good enough for me. - Ariel ~ Victoria H. Smith
Science Fiction quotes by Victoria H. Smith
A true master will not deceive an able disciple. You are hampered by the limits you set and no limit can be set on skill. ~ Wayne Gerard Trotman
Science Fiction quotes by Wayne Gerard Trotman
When I was little, I guess I was just an ordinary kid. But then things changed when I was in junior high. You know, kids that become geeks become one because of something. Like, they aren't good at sports, or girls don't like them. I, too, for some reason, got into things like science fiction and, well, especially science fiction as an escape. ~ Takashi Murakami
Science Fiction quotes by Takashi Murakami
Mankind without Earth is Humanity without a Home ~ S.G. Rainbolt
Science Fiction quotes by S.G. Rainbolt
Reality is highly overrated. ~ Roxanne Bland
Science Fiction quotes by Roxanne Bland
Konstantin Tsiolkovsky in Russia, Hermann Olberth in Germany, and Robert Goddard in the United States all came up with an eerily similar concept for using liquid fuel to power rockets for human spaceflight. I've seen this pointed out as an odd coincidence, one of those moments when an idea inexplicably emerges in multiple places at once. But when I read through each of these three men's biographies I discovered why they all had the same idea: all three of them were obsessed with Jules Verne's 1865 novel "De la terre a la lune (From the Earth to the Moon)." The novel details the strange adventures of three space explorers who travel to the moon together. What sets Verne's book apart from the other speculative fiction of the time was his careful attention to the physics involved in space travel -- his characters take pains to explain to each other exactly how and why each concept would work. All three real-life scientists -- the Russian, the German, and the American -- were following what they had learned from a French science fiction writer. ~ Margaret Lazarus Dean
Science Fiction quotes by Margaret Lazarus Dean
We're more interested in the editor of this Astounding Science Fiction. General Groves sent me to ask that someone who knows more about this work you're doing interview this" - he glanced at a card - "John W. Campbell. ~ Gregory Benford
Science Fiction quotes by Gregory Benford
Abundant choice doesn't force us to look for the absolute best of everything. It allows us to find the extremes in those things we really care about, whether that means great coffee, jeans cut wide across the hips, or a spouse who shares your zeal for mountaineering, Zen meditation, and science fiction. ~ Virginia Postrel
Science Fiction quotes by Virginia Postrel
Actually, I'm addicted to science fiction. Let me make my diction clear - I love sci-fi. ~ John Rhys-Davies
Science Fiction quotes by John Rhys-Davies
What are you seeing? people selling their products? No. People selling the fear of you having to live without their product ~ Max Brooks
Science Fiction quotes by Max Brooks
Without looking, I felt his stare burn my skin. A burn way more pleasurable than bacon grease. I had him. He just didn't know it yet. ~ Lynn Vroman
Science Fiction quotes by Lynn Vroman
We are not even a speck of dust in the cells of the Cosmos."-Han Storm ~ H. Gibson
Science Fiction quotes by H. Gibson
With science fiction there's endless possibilities. ~ Anna Torv
Science Fiction quotes by Anna Torv
I looked at Victor, my heart swelling from the emotion. "When I die, please do the same ceremony for me," I whispered, choking up. "This is the most captivating and emotional event I have ever been part of."
"I'm afraid you'll have to ask somebody else for that because if you die before me I won't survive it." He kissed the tip of my nose. I gazed at him with so much love that my heart almost burst out of my chest. ~ A.B. Whelan
Science Fiction quotes by A.B. Whelan
I got into science fiction by being interested in astronomy first. ~ Terry Pratchett
Science Fiction quotes by Terry Pratchett
The Snow White the midnight the moon tales of the mechanics ~ Marissa Meyer
Science Fiction quotes by Marissa Meyer
The storage capacity of the average human brain is two-hundred and fifty-six exabytes. However, the average adult human only uses approximately one billionth of that storage space effectively. This means my knowledge capacity is approximately three thousand trillion times that of your average human. ~ Michael Monroe
Science Fiction quotes by Michael Monroe
My personal feeling about science fiction is that it's always in some way connected to the real world, to our everyday world. ~ Elizabeth Moon
Science Fiction quotes by Elizabeth Moon
This is flight 121 to Los Angeles. If your travel plans today do not include Los Angeles, now would be the perfect time to disembark. ~ Douglas Adams
Science Fiction quotes by Douglas Adams
To write good religious science fiction, or indeed good religious fiction of any kind, is a challenge but one that it would be worthwhile trying to meet. It seems a pity the field has been apparently abandoned to pernicious rubbish like 'The Da Vinci Code', though this seems already, mercifully, to have faded away. In this, as in other areas, we could do with another C. S. Lewis to re-state the principles of Christianity in terms to stir the imagination. ~ Hal G.P. Colebatch
Science Fiction quotes by Hal G.P. Colebatch
…every King must have a fool or risk becoming the fool himself. ~ W.H. Mitchell
Science Fiction quotes by W.H. Mitchell
I've always been interested in science fiction. ~ Martin Landau
Science Fiction quotes by Martin Landau
A lot of people feel that way. That if you didn't pay your dues by being ostracized then you're not *really* a geek.
I don't think that though. It's not an exclusive club that you need to pay some social price to get in. Being a geek is about loving something passionately beyond all reason or sense. And it need not necessarily be related to science fiction, fantas, superheroes, etcetera. You can be a gardening geek, a model train geek, stamp collecting geek, a baby geek ...
It's about enthusiasm, in my opinion.
From his blog RE: Thirty years of D&D ~ Patrick Rothfuss
Science Fiction quotes by Patrick Rothfuss
We sat around on a hotel balcony with a bottle of wine and tried to figure out how you would go about blowing up a planet. That's the kind of conversations science fiction writers have when they get together. We don't talk about football or anything like that. ~ Kevin J. Anderson
Science Fiction quotes by Kevin J. Anderson
[Science fiction is] that class of prose narrative treating of a situation that could not arise in the world we know, but which is hypothesised on the basis of some innovation in science or technology, or pseudo-science or pseudo-technology, whether human or extra-terrestrial in origin. It is distinguished from pure fantasy by its need to achieve verisimilitude and win the 'willing suspension of disbelief' through scientific plausibility. ~ Kingsley Amis
Science Fiction quotes by Kingsley Amis
I'm donating my body to science...fiction. ~ Steven Wright
Science Fiction quotes by Steven Wright
The shield went down for such a brief moment that, when it sealed again, the tail of the lasomag charge deflected wildly. Adrenaline fired, he dove for the floor, heart racing, as the flash burst backwards, striking someone in Theta's section. Panic swelled in a shrieking roar, front to back, some scattering, others frozen in place. ~ Marcha A. Fox
Science Fiction quotes by Marcha A. Fox
I don't think humanity just replays history, but we are the same people our ancestors were, and our descendants are going to face a lot of the same situations we do. It's instructive to imagine how they would react, with different technologies on different worlds. That's why I write science fiction
even though the term 'science fiction' excites disdain in certain persons. ~ Kage Baker
Science Fiction quotes by Kage Baker
We are now in a position to determine just what sort of science fiction story this really is. ~ Theodore Sturgeon
