A positive attitude may not solve all our problems but that is the only option we have if we want to get out of problems.
-Subodh Gupta author "Stress Management a holistic approach -5 steps plan". ~ Subodh Gupta
Managing Stress quotes by Subodh Gupta
This is a great universal truth; we are by nature healthy; illness is an unnatural, temporary state when certain systems of the body are not functioning as they should. The harmonious flow of chi restores a person's natural functions. It is also excellent for overcoming emotional and mental problems and managing stress. ~ Wong Kiew Kit
Managing Stress quotes by Wong Kiew Kit
Managing stress is about controlling the way you respond to events and having an open mind about the things that stress you. Learn to talk to God during the day and ask Him to give you peace and to help you with your problems ~ Michele Woolley
Managing Stress quotes by Michele Woolley
God will never give you anything you can't handle, so don't stress. ~ Kelly Clarkson
Managing Stress quotes by Kelly Clarkson
There's a kind of terrible stress that makes you eat three pieces of coconut cake, but there's an even more terrible kind of stress where you can't bear the thought of eating anything at all" -Autumn ~ Claudia Mills
Managing Stress quotes by Claudia Mills
Why people used to go to clubs was to have a great time and to forget their troubles and worries and stresses of the week and enjoy themselves and I think that the music was a huge, important part of that ~ Paul Oakenfold
Managing Stress quotes by Paul Oakenfold
So, what role does memory play in the understanding and treatment of trauma? There is a form of implicit memory that is profoundly unconscious and forms the basis for the imprint trauma leaves on the body/mind. The type of memory utilized in learning most physical activities (walking, riding a bike, skiing, etc.) is a form of implicit memory called procedural memory. Procedural or "body memories" are learned sequences of coordinated "motor acts" chained together into meaningful actions. You may not remember explicitly how and when you learned them, but, at the appropriate moment, they are (implicitly) "recalled" and mobilized (acted out) simultaneously. These memories (action patterns) are formed and orchestrated largely by involuntary structures in the cerebellum and basal ganglia.

When a person is exposed to overwhelming stress, threat or injury, they develop a procedural memory. Trauma occurs when these implicit procedures are not neutralized. The failure to restore homeostasis is at the basis for the maladaptive and debilitating symptoms of trauma. ~ Peter A. Levine
Managing Stress quotes by Peter A. Levine
Replace fear-based thinking with love-based thinking. Every time you're making a choice, ask yourself if it's going to cultivate the experience of unity and love or the experience of separation and stress. ~ Deepak Chopra
Managing Stress quotes by Deepak Chopra
Everyone thinks they can cure stress by adding to their schedule, like going to yoga. Oh, great - one more thing to feel guilty about when you can't do it. ~ Evangeline Lilly
Managing Stress quotes by Evangeline Lilly
I find Jessica Jones a much more interesting character to write for than Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman is so noble and heroic, and I don't find that as interesting as one who's really damaged and flawed and has post-traumatic stress disorder. ~ Melissa Rosenberg
Managing Stress quotes by Melissa Rosenberg
Life change takes time, effort and patience. But the results you will receive make the initial stress you experience more than worth it. ~ Robin S. Sharma
Managing Stress quotes by Robin S. Sharma
We all lie like hell. It wears us out. It is the major source of all human stress. Lying kills people. ~ Brad Blanton
Managing Stress quotes by Brad Blanton
All he really knew was that if he stayed here he would soon be the property of things that buzzed and snorted and hissed, that gave off fumes or stenches. In six months, he would be the owner of a large pink, trained ulcer, a blood pressure of algebraic dimensions, a myopia this side of blindness, and nightmares as deep as oceans and infested with improbable lengths of dream intestines through which he must violently force his way each night. ~ Ray Bradbury
Managing Stress quotes by Ray Bradbury
Stress is something that makes you feel you can't be yourself. ~ Penney Peirce
Managing Stress quotes by Penney Peirce
Working out has always been a stress reliever for me. I don't know if it's so much vanity as it more just keeps my mind from going crazy. ~ Jim Rash
Managing Stress quotes by Jim Rash
Academic stress-related pre-birth suicides ~ Alan Moore
Managing Stress quotes by Alan Moore
Man is adept at navigating the globe and beyond - yet doubt finding his own destiny ~ Gino Norris
Managing Stress quotes by Gino Norris
I'm a firm believer that most people who do great things are doing them for the first time. Returning to my theory of hiring, I'd rather have someone all fired up to do something for the first time than someone who's done it before and isn't that excited to do it again. You rarely go wrong giving someone who is high potential the shot. ~ Marc Andreessen
Managing Stress quotes by Marc Andreessen
Everything in physiology follows the rule that too much can be as bad as too little. There are optimal points of allostatic balance. For example, while a moderate amount of exercise generally increases bone mass, thirty-year-old athletes who run 40 to 50 miles a week can wind up with decalcified bones, decreased bone mass, increased risk of stress fractures and scoliosis (sideways curvature of the spine) - their skeletons look like those of seventy-year-olds. To put exercise in perspective, imagine this: sit with a group of hunter-gatherers from the African grasslands and explain to them that in our world we have so much food and so much free time that some of us run 26 miles in a day, simply for the sheer pleasure of it. They are likely to say, "Are you crazy? That's stressful." Throughout hominid history, if you're running 26 miles in a day, you're either very intent on eating someone or someone's very intent on eating you. ~ Robert M. Sapolsky
Managing Stress quotes by Robert M. Sapolsky
Worry ... is rust upon the blade. ~ Simon Hughes
Managing Stress quotes by Simon Hughes
I think you have to work with people, and when I talk about managing relationships, don't think the derogatory 'managed relationships'. It is a question of sharing emotion and feelings. The common denominator of everything can't be money, and it should not be money. ~ Anil Ambani
Managing Stress quotes by Anil Ambani
I have a very healthy dream life. I dream a lot many, many, many nights a week. When I'm shooting, it's even more - I don't know if it has to do with stress or with creation. ~ Emmanuel Lubezki
Managing Stress quotes by Emmanuel Lubezki
The word 'pranayama', often referred to as alternate breathing, comes from the Sanskrit meaning 'extension of life force' or 'extension of breath'. At times, we are going to have days where we are bombarded with one task after another.

This simple yet effective meditation only takes a couple of minutes and its calming qualities can be felt almost immediately. It is one of the easiest meditation techniques to apply. This practice is well worth applying at least three or four times a day (somewhere private) to develop emotional balance and evenness of mind, especially in the working environment. ~ Christopher Dines
Managing Stress quotes by Christopher Dines
I'm from Israel, so America has no limits. I started a record label, and then I started managing other artists, like Liza Minelli. ~ Gene Simmons
Managing Stress quotes by Gene Simmons
Remove stress from the body and the body regenerates itself. You can heal yourself. ~ Rhonda Byrne
Managing Stress quotes by Rhonda Byrne
The physical body itself is continually vibrating and resonating with other energies in the environment. While Western medicine has developed few interventions that are based in the recognition that energy is at the foundation of, or at least intimately intertwined with, physical matter, scientists from many other disciplines are working within this perspective. They are, for example, recognizing the potential explanatory power of fields that are 'totally unlike any of those presently known' in the ways they hold and transmit information, display quantum properties such as nonlocal influence, and interact with consciousness. ~ Jed Diamond
Managing Stress quotes by Jed Diamond
That night I did it. I used a utility knife from our garage. It was amazing. For that brief moment, all the tension, anxiety, stress I put on myself disappeared. It went up in a cloud of smoke and my head was finally clear after months of endless internal battles. ~ S.M. Koz
Managing Stress quotes by S.M. Koz
I danced in the flames and pranced on the shames of those whose names I could not reveal. I have been told, exhaustingly by a genus of psychiatry, that to forget allegedly means to heal but if only such a thought became real. To die when compared to living has, at times, seemed like the lesser evil. ~ The Raveness
Managing Stress quotes by The Raveness
In times of exceptional stress, nature will often give people's behavior so tragical a complexion that neither a picture nor a verbal description is competent to represent its titanic energy. ~ Stefan Zweig
Managing Stress quotes by Stefan Zweig
although the stress response was involuntary, the relaxation response required practice.[6] ~ Linda Lantieri
Managing Stress quotes by Linda Lantieri
I have not been diagnosed with epilepsy. I did have an MRI of the brain, and they found no abnormalities in my brain. Now, there are people with epilepsy who have completely normal MRI's, too. I just think also, you know, epileptic seizures can be triggered by emotional stress, by all kinds of things, lights. ~ Siri Hustvedt
Managing Stress quotes by Siri Hustvedt
Though anger seems a pessimistic response to a situation, it is at root a symptom of hope: the hope that the world can be better than it is. The man who shouts every time he loses his house keys is betraying a beautiful but rash faith in a universe in which keys never go astray. The woman who grows furious every time a politician breaks an election promise reveals a precariously utopian belief that elections do not involve deceit.
The news shouldn't eliminate angry responses; but it should help us to be angry for the right reasons, to the right degree, for the right length of time – and as part of a constructive project.
And whenever this isn't possible, then the news should help us with mourning the twisted nature of man and reconciling us to the difficulty of being able to imagine perfection while still not managing to secure it – for a range of stupid but nevertheless unbudgeable reasons. ~ Alain De Botton
Managing Stress quotes by Alain De Botton
I think I'm right-brained, incapable of managing my way out of a brown paper bag. ~ Jeremy Grantham
Managing Stress quotes by Jeremy Grantham
One of the things that cause stress and strain in human social life is that it is possible, up to a point, to become aware of rational grounds for a behaviour not prompted by natural instinct. But when such behaviour strains natural instinct too severely nature takes her revenge by producing either listlessness or destructiveness, either of which may cause a structure imposed by reason to break down. ~ Bertrand Russell
Managing Stress quotes by Bertrand Russell
I am asking you to marry me because I love you," he said, "because I cannot imagine living my life without you. I want to see your face in the morning, and then at night, and a hundred times in between. I want to grow old with you, I want to laugh with you, and I want to sigh to my friends about how managing you are, all the while secretly knowing I am the luckiest man in town."
"What?" she demanded.
He shrugged. "A man's got to keep up appearances. I'll be universally detested if everyone realizes how perfect you are. ~ Julia Quinn
Managing Stress quotes by Julia Quinn
It matters not whether you win the race or not but that you cross the finish line with a smile and a bit of a laugh. Stress does not come from having too much on your plate. Stress comes from labeling too many of those things as very important. Discussing religion, no matter how in depth the discussion, should never be confused with actually practicing that religion. ~ Pat McBride
Managing Stress quotes by Pat McBride
one of the ways to decrease stress and increase joy is to find the "bless in the mess. ~ Kay Warren
Managing Stress quotes by Kay Warren
There are thousands of causes for stress, and one antidote to stress is self-expression. That's what happens to me every day. My thoughts get off my chest, down my sleeves and onto my pad. ~ Garson Kanin
Managing Stress quotes by Garson Kanin
Im not going to stress over you anymore. It isnt worth it. I tried to work something out but you just ignored it. Im not trying to say I dont want you, because I definitely do. All Im saying is Im done chasing after you. ~ Edward Prefontaine Humbert
