In the absence of men all women are chaste. ~ Khushwant Singh
All Women quotes by Khushwant Singh
These are the kinds of regrets all women have, mistakes and missteps, paths not chosen, opportunities gone. Youth gone. Forever. And until I honestly acknowledge how this regret feels, acknowledge that I'm not okay with how some of my life went, it's like having a fake past, and a fake present, which is surely a prescription for a fake future. ~ Claire Fontaine
All Women quotes by Claire Fontaine
It's also very painful, because I feel, and I know, probably all women my age and older feel like we're better and have more to give and are more fun now. ~ Barbara Hershey
All Women quotes by Barbara Hershey
All women are inferior to men. ~ Garry Kasparov
All Women quotes by Garry Kasparov
The problem for all women is we're identified by how we look instead of by our heads and our hearts. ~ Gloria Steinem
All Women quotes by Gloria Steinem
In the 2013 Economists Program, we hired 51 percent women, 49 percent men. And the reason for that is that we have a draft from all over the world, and we've hired, for instance, in that group, a good number of Chinese economists - highly qualified, all Ph.D.s from the best universities of the world. And guess what? They're all women. ~ Christine Lagarde
All Women quotes by Christine Lagarde
Look, Charlie," said Vince leaning back in his chair. "It's real simple. We will be four people
two men and two women
I figure it's better to have two women instead of three men and one woman so she'll have someone she can confide in and all. Women need that kind of thing. Anyway, we'll be four people
friends
housemates
equal partners. We'll be an alliance. We'll be just like family. And we'll help take care of one another. We'll have a nice home, each with our own private bedroom and bathroom, and a nice yard with flowers."
"And maybe a vegetable garden," added Charlie.
"That's it," grinned Vince. ~ Barbara Casey
All Women quotes by Barbara Casey
I think it's about time that we represent all women on the catwalk because that is a part of fashion. The way I see it, there's no wrong way to be a woman. ~ Denise Bidot
All Women quotes by Denise Bidot
Eve was blamed for the fall of man, and in return all women to come were to inheret her karmic responsibility for the so-called "fall of man". Their punishment was to experience pain in childbirth, and never be trusted by man or God again. ~ Frederick Lenz
All Women quotes by Frederick Lenz
If a man talks bad about all women, it usually means he was burned by one woman. ~ Coco Chanel
All Women quotes by Coco Chanel

All Women quotes by Susan Brownmiller
All women are my sisters. ~ Abhijit Naskar
All Women quotes by Abhijit Naskar
A virtuous man may have a choleric or a sanguine constitution, be gay or grave, unreproved, be firm till he is almost over-bearing, or weakly subsmissive, have no will or opinion of his own; but all women are to be levelled, by meekness and docility, into one character of yielding softness and gentle compliance ~ Mary Wollstonecraft
All Women quotes by Mary Wollstonecraft
I'm not usually this emotional," I say. He shrugs. "All women say that. It usually precedes an episode of batshit craziness. ~ Tammy Falkner
All Women quotes by Tammy Falkner
It is unthinkable that a national government which represents women should ignore the issue of the right of all women to political freedom. ~ Lucy Burns
All Women quotes by Lucy Burns
I think any time you have a super team, whether it's all men or all women or both, what you have are people with very unique strengths that aren't always totally compatible. ~ G. Willow Wilson
All Women quotes by G. Willow Wilson
Winston had disliked her from the very first moment of seeing her. He knew the reason. It was because of the atmosphere of hockey−fields and cold baths and community hikes and general clean−mindedness which she managed to carry about with her. He disliked nearly all women, and especially the young and pretty ones. It was always the women, and above all the young ones, who were the most bigoted adherents of the Party, the swallowers of slogans, the amateur spies and nosers−out of unorthodoxy. ~ George Orwell
All Women quotes by George Orwell
O, lawdy, seems you don't got good radar when it comes to pickin' 'em," Elvira muttered.
"No, her radar is beyond not good. Her radar is also not malfunctioning. It's straight out broke," Martha agreed and I was wondering if perhaps Elvira and Martha were not such a good match. Denver was relatively peaceful. I'd never heard of riots or sieges or militant hostile takeovers of land and I was foreseeing this if these two got together and rallied the female population of the Denver Metropolitan Area as a protest to shelter all women against dickhead assholes. ~ Kristen Ashley
All Women quotes by Kristen Ashley
I've recently discovered Cardiobar. It's in L.A. and it has Cardio Aerobics. It's all women with no shoes on, dancing to upbeat music. I'm just dripping sweat at the end of the class. It's very fun for me, and it makes me want to work out. ~ Amber Stevens
All Women quotes by Amber Stevens
Don't all women want to find Mr. Right and fall in love and live happily ever after?" ~ Devon Herrera
All Women quotes by Devon Herrera

All Women quotes by Frances Hodgson Burnett
Willing to fight for freedom alongside her warriors, Nzinga demonstrated bravery, intelligence, and a relentless drive to bring peace to her people. A true anti-terrorism strategist and an original freedom fighter. Queen Nzinga reflects the dignity of the Ndongos and Angola in particular, but of Africa and all women in general. ~ Dom Pedro V
All Women quotes by Dom Pedro V
I'm a multi-faceted woman and person, like all women are - there's no black and white. We have shades of grey in the middle. And even many more colours that other people don't see! ~ Shakira
All Women quotes by Shakira
Why was he drawn to complicated women, or were all women
all people, finally
complicated? ~ Stewart O'Nan
All Women quotes by Stewart O'Nan
I think all women want to feel sexy and confident yet comfortable at the same time in what they wear. ~ Petra Nemcova
All Women quotes by Petra Nemcova
It iscrucial that we understand lesbian/feminism in the deepest, most radical sense: as that love for ourselves and other women, that commitment to the freedom of all of us, which transcends the category of "sexual preference" and the issue of civil rights, to become a politics of asking women's questions, demanding a world in which the integrity of all women
not a chosen few
shall be honored and validated in every respect of culture. ~ Adrienne Rich
All Women quotes by Adrienne Rich
Don't all women feel the same? The only difference is how much we know we feel it, how in touch we are with our fury. We're all furies, except the ones who are too damned foolish, and my worry now is that we're brainwashing them from the cradle, and in the end even the ones who are smart will be too damned foolish. What do I mean? I mean the second graders at Appleton Elementary, sometimes the first graders even, and by the time they get to my classroom, to the third grad, they're well and truly gone -- they're full of Lady Gaga and Katy Perry and French manicures and cute outfits and they care how their hair looks! In the third grade. They care more about their hair or their shoes than about galaxies or caterpillars or hieroglyphics. How did all that revolutionary talk of the seventies land us in a place where being female means playing dumb and looking good? Even worse on your tombstone than "dutiful daughter" is "looking good"; everyone used to know that. But we're lost in a world of appearances now. ~ Claire Messud
All Women quotes by Claire Messud
Sometimes I forget how much I like riding the bike."
Most chicks do," I said. "Roar of the engine and so on."
Murphy's blue eyes glittered with annoyance and anticipation. "Pig. You really enjoy dropping all women together in the same demographic, don't you?"
It's not my fault all women like motorcycles, Murph. They're basically huge vibrators. With wheels. ~ Jim Butcher
All Women quotes by Jim Butcher
In the nineties, it was all women being blonde and from Sweden. But now it's changed: it's all men looking like Ellen DeGeneres. ~ Pablo Francisco
All Women quotes by Pablo Francisco
I just love all women. A lot of them are women a lot of men wouldn't find attractive in the least, but they're mouth-watering to me. All different sizes: tall, short, fat. Just about the only type I'm not into is the typical fashion model. ~ Dave Cooper
All Women quotes by Dave Cooper
I was not that man: I didn't hate and fear all women. I was a one-woman misogynist. If I despised only Amy, focused all my fury and rage and venom on the one woman who deserved it, that didn't make me my father. That made me sane. ~ Gillian Flynn
All Women quotes by Gillian Flynn
I am against revolution and am proud of it. Democracy cannot be created through revolutions. The most important dichotomy that I make for a society is between those who support democracy and human rights, and those who oppose it. In a totalitarian state, the state views any act of an individual to be political in nature. For example, the clothing that a person wears in a modern state is a private affair whereas in the Islamic Republic all women are forced to wear the hijab (Islamic attire). When women push their headscarf back an inch or two, this is interpreted to be a political act, ~ Akbar Ganji
All Women quotes by Akbar Ganji
My life story is something obviously that belongs to me very personally. And the fact of the matter is that I had choices and chances and opportunities that were provided to me, based on the way I was able to direct my own decision-making. And what I'm working to fight for is to make sure that all women have the ability to do that. ~ Barack Obama
All Women quotes by Barack Obama
According to the Gorean way of looking at things a taste of the slave ring is thought to be occasionally beneficial to all women, even the exalted free woman. ~ John Norman
All Women quotes by John Norman
The six people who had the biggest impact on my life were all women. Had I been sexist, my life would have been far less fulfilling. ~ Zig Ziglar
All Women quotes by Zig Ziglar
All women love Colin Firth: Mr. Darcy, Mark Darcy, George VI - at this point he could play the Craigslist Killer and people would be like, 'Oh my God, the Craigslist Killer has the most boyish smile! ~ Mindy Kaling
All Women quotes by Mindy Kaling
I think all women have some sort of beauty in them. ~ The Miz
All Women quotes by The Miz
Pornography warps the way a man sees all women and girls. [ ... ] Young females learn they are useful for one thing only and try to get love the only way they know. ~ Henry Makow
All Women quotes by Henry Makow
I think all women should be able to make it on their own," Frankie said. "It's not about needing a man
or not - it just means she knows she can do whatever she sets out to do. ~ Lindsay Smith
All Women quotes by Lindsay Smith
You cannot blame all women for the faults of one. ~ Jude Deveraux
All Women quotes by Jude Deveraux
It's so weird to turn on a switch and be the role model for all women, for all African-Americans. That doesn't happen that easily. It just doesn't. And so I don't act up in public and I don't do anything weird - because my sisters are watching me, not because the world is watching me. ~ Gabourey Sidibe
All Women quotes by Gabourey Sidibe
You can't learn something about all women. Sometimes I feel that the older I get, the less of a grip I've got on it. ~ Jamie Hince
All Women quotes by Jamie Hince
When I bought the [WNBA] team, I saw that no one really cared about them. Like the locker facilities that these young women have to work in-they weren't right. I want to give them the best locker room facilities and show them they're valued-because if you show them value, they're going to perform better. And this goes for all women, not just basketball players. ~ Sheila Johnson
All Women quotes by Sheila Johnson
This is the first language of your body. It is the word ne. When you bleed each month, as when the moon comes and goes in its journey, you leave the world of men. You enter the body of all women, who are connected to all of nature. ~ Lidia Yuknavitch
All Women quotes by Lidia Yuknavitch
Until the day arrives when all women decide that our rights are not negotiable, our future choices will not be secure. ~ Faye Wattleton
All Women quotes by Faye Wattleton
Addressing the economic plight of women may ultimately be the feminist platform that draws a collective response. It may well become the place of collective organizing, the common ground, the issue that unites all women. ~ Bell Hooks
All Women quotes by Bell Hooks
All women are NATURALLY, bad ass! ~ Alicia Keys
All Women quotes by Alicia Keys
Her jaw ached with tension. "Surely you don't respond to all women who...invite you this way?"
"Only strangers who remain anonymous and shrouded from my sight." The snap was still there, astonishing her. Anger was the last reaction she'd expected. "Do you intend to wear your veils when you fuck me, madam? ~ Anna Campbell
All Women quotes by Anna Campbell
Before I knowed it, I was sayin' out loud, 'The hell with it! There ain't no sin and there ain't no virtue. There's just stuff people do. It's all part of the same thing.' ... I says, 'What's this call, this sperit?' An' I says, 'It's love. I love people so much I'm fit to bust, sometimes.' ... I figgered, 'Why do we got to hang it on God or Jesus? Maybe,' I figgered, 'maybe it's all men an' all women we love; maybe that's the Holy Sperit-the human sperit-the whole shebang. Maybe all men got one big soul ever'body's a part of.' Now I sat there thinkin' it, an' all of a suddent-I knew it. I knew it so deep down that it was true, and I still know it. ~ John Steinbeck
All Women quotes by John Steinbeck
I believe all men, all women, regardless of race, gender, socioeconomic background, you deserve the same rights. ~ Sophia Bush
All Women quotes by Sophia Bush
When I get dolled up to go out, men turn their heads and I'm used to it. But I think all women are sexy and should embrace that side of themselves. ~ Malin Akerman
All Women quotes by Malin Akerman
I think of myself as a political idiot. Idiot, in ancient Greece, denoted a common person without access to knowledge and information--all women, by definition, and most men. I am unable to make judgments. I see no options I can identify with. Is that normal? ~ Jasmina Tesanovic
All Women quotes by Jasmina Tesanovic
I looked silently at her lips. All women are lips, all lips. Some are pink and firmly round: a ring, a tender guardrail from the whole world. And then there are these ones: a second ago they weren't here, and just now - like a knife-slit - they are here, still dripping sweet blood. ~ Yevgeny Zamyatin
All Women quotes by Yevgeny Zamyatin
Purple puts us in touch with the part of ourselves that is regal. Purple is the queen in all women; it helps us keep our backs straight and heads held high. ~ Byllye Avery
All Women quotes by Byllye Avery
It was not the house that grew dull, but I that grew dull in it. My wife was better than all women, and yet I could not feel it. ~ G.K. Chesterton
All Women quotes by G.K. Chesterton
An estimated two thirds of the women who got criminal abortions were married. This means that up to two thirds of the botched abortions were done on married women; up to two thirds of the dead were married women; perhaps two thirds of the survivors are married women. This means that most of the women who risked death or maiming so as not to bear a child were married - perhaps one million married women each year. They were not shameless sluts, unless all women by definition are. They were not immoral in traditional terms - though, even then, they were thought of as promiscuous and single. Nevertheless, they were not women from the streets, but women from homes; they were not daughters in the homes of fathers, but wives in the homes of husbands. They were, quite simply, the good and respectable women of Amerika. The absolute equation of abortion with sexual promiscuity is a bizarre distortion of the real history of women and abortion - too distorted to be acceptable even in the United States, where historical memory reaches back one decade. Abortion has been legalized just under one decade. The facts should not be obliterated yet. Millions of respectable, God-fearing, married women have had illegal abortions. They thank their God that they survived; and they keep quiet. ~ Andrea Dworkin
All Women quotes by Andrea Dworkin
All women are born dancers in the sense that natural movement becomes their body and grows out of their instinctive feeling for womanhood, motherhood and tenderness. ~ Nelly Mazloum
All Women quotes by Nelly Mazloum
It's a well-known fact. All women are clinically insane, but especially ballet dancers. Psycho. extremely psycho. Trust me. ~ Marisa De Los Santos
All Women quotes by Marisa De Los Santos
All women are strong. My mother survived Auschwitz, and fear wasn't an option when we were growing up. If we were afraid of the dark, we were put into the closet until we weren't. ~ Diane Von Furstenberg
All Women quotes by Diane Von Furstenberg
We are all women you assure me? Then I may tell you that the very next words I read were these – 'Chloe liked Olivia …' Do not start. Do not blush. Let us admit in the privacy of our own society that these things sometimes happen. Sometimes women do like women. 'Chloe liked Olivia,' I read. And then it struck me how immense a change was there. Chloe liked Olivia perhaps for the first time in literature. Cleopatra did not like Octavia. And how completely Antony and Cleopatra would have been altered had she done so! As it is, I thought, letting my mind, I am afraid, wander a little from Life's Adventure, the whole thing is simplified, conventionalized, if one dared say it, absurdly. Cleopatra's only feeling about Octavia is one of jealousy. Is she taller than I am? How does she do her hair? The play, perhaps, required no more. But how interesting it would have been if the relationship between the two women had been more complicated. All these relationships between women, I thought, rapidly recalling the splendid gallery of fictitious women, are too simple. So much has been left out, unattempted. And I tried to remember any case in the course of my reading where two women are represented as friends. There is an attempt at it in Diana of the Crossways. They are confidantes, of course, in Racine and the Greek tragedies. They are now and then mothers and daughters. But almost without exception they are shown in their relation to men. ~ Virginia Woolf
All Women quotes by Virginia Woolf
All women should understand that a mammogram is nothing to be afraid of. It's not an enemy but a friend. Early detection is the key to the cure. ~ Kate Jackson
All Women quotes by Kate Jackson
The imaginable had always been problematic. When I was a child the feel of things went into me: deep, narrow, intense. The grittiness of the street, the chalk-white air of the drugstore, the grain of the wooden floor in the storefront library, the blocks of cheese in the grocery-store refrigerator. I took it all so seriously, so literally. I was without imagination. I paid a kind of idiot attention to the look and feel of things, leveling an intent inner stare at the prototypic face of the world. These streets were all streets, these buildings all buildings, these women and men all women and men. I could imagine no other than that which stood before me. That child's literalness of the emotions continued to exert influence, as though a shock had been administered to the nervous system and the flow of imagination had stopped. I could feel strongly, but I could not imagine. The granite gray of the street, the American-cheese yellow of the grocery store, the melancholy brownish tint of the buildings were all still in place, only now it was the woman on the couch, the girl hanging out the window, the confinement that sealed us off, on which I looked with that same inner intentness that had always crowded out possibility as well as uncertainty. It would be years before I learned that extraordinary focus, that excluding insistence, is also called depression. ~ Vivian Gornick
All Women quotes by Vivian Gornick
I think it's important to make all women feel like they're princesses, because every girl is a princess. I'm serious. ~ Justin Bieber
All Women quotes by Justin Bieber
A central tenet of modern feminist thought has been the assertion that "all women are oppressed." This assertion implies that women share a common lot, that factors like class, race, religion, sexual preference, etc. do not create a diversity of experience that determines the extent to which sexism will be an oppressive force in the lives of individual women. ~ Bell Hooks
All Women quotes by Bell Hooks
All women think men look good in suits. To be honest, I like the way they look, too. ~ Liam Hemsworth
All Women quotes by Liam Hemsworth
Social evils are dangerously contagious. The fixed policy of persecution and injustice against a class of women who are weak and defenseless will be necessarily hurtful to the cause of all women. ~ Fannie Barrier Williams
All Women quotes by Fannie Barrier Williams
If Strength comes through Suffering, why then I should be the strongest of all women, yet I am the weakest. God help me. Help me. ~ Lee Smith
All Women quotes by Lee Smith
To lovers out there...

Before you say all man are the same or All women are the same. Take a look at yourself. It might be you doing the same thing to all of them and they respond the same way to you.The problem might be you not them. You will have change all of them ,but you haven't changed yourself. That is why you are still having the same problem. It might your attitude, treatment, respect, behavior, talk, heart and feelings. Fix yourself first before you
fall for someone. ~ Kyos Magupe
All Women quotes by Kyos Magupe
hadn't grown into being a woman, she had become a woman with an exclamation mark, the sort of hardy feminine brute of the Pleistocene from which all women, great and frail, are descended. ~ J. Ryan Stradal
All Women quotes by J. Ryan Stradal
Feminism is for all women and girls, not a privileged few or one ethnicity, religion, age, sexual preference, ability, region or hemisphere. ~ Robin Morgan
All Women quotes by Robin Morgan
I hate to hear you talk about all women as if they were fine ladies instead of rational creatures. None of us want to be in calm waters all our lives. ~ Jane Austen
All Women quotes by Jane Austen
...are not all women treated by all men like something inferior, like chattels you take up and put down at will? ~ Winston Graham
All Women quotes by Winston Graham
All women are natural born espionage agents. ~ Eddie Cantor
All Women quotes by Eddie Cantor
I have shaped and nourished my mind for years to hail all women on earth as my sisters and their problems as my problems. When I am engaged in a conversation with one of my sisters anywhere in the world, my eyes are not subconsciously driven to take a quick peek down her blouse. I belong to all women, all men, everywhere, as a brother. And being a brother calls for the responsibility of thinking, feeling and behaving like a brother, instead of a potential mate-hunter. Here I am by no means insinuating that all men should see all women as sisters, rather I am pointing out that all civilized men should at the very least have the decency to see women as persons, and not as objects of sexual gratification or as potential mating partners, because only then we shall succeed as a conscientious species to give a safe and non-predatory environment to our children. ~ Abhijit Naskar
All Women quotes by Abhijit Naskar
All women become like their mothers. That is their tragedy. No man does. That's his. ~ Oscar Wilde
All Women quotes by Oscar Wilde
I cant take it like this much longer, Milt," Karen said muffledly into the big CKC shirt with its male smell, allowing herself the luxury of letting the bars all the way down for once, enjoying for just this moment the eternal degradation of being a woman.
"I cant take it much longer," she whimpered, tasting it, the eternally caught and held hard in the grasp of some man, the forever humiliated heavy weight it was impossible to squirm out from under, the forever helpless except for the mercy of him who always takes what he wants without any, and that all women learn instinctively not to expect [ ... ] That was all they wanted. That was all any of them wanted. You give them the greatest thing you possess, the most intimate secret, and they
just take it. Well, let them have it. Let them all have some of it. Let them root and rut and rowel, as if it was no more important than that why were they all so anxious to keep it away from each other? ~ James Jones
All Women quotes by James Jones
I have the power to multiply
Like all women, I am more than one ~ Neil Mach
All Women quotes by Neil Mach
Because what my gradmother did with her fine coat (the loveliest thing she would ever own) is what all women of that generation (and before) did for their families and their husbands and their children. They cut up the finest and proudest parts of themselves and gave it all away. They repatterned what was theirs and shaped it for others. They went without. They were the last ones to eat at supper, and they were the first ones to get up every morning, warming the cold kitchen for another day spent caring for everyone else. This was the only thing they knew how to do. This was their guiding verb and their defining principle of life: They gave. ~ Elizabeth Gilbert
All Women quotes by Elizabeth Gilbert
The right wing of the Republican party
which controlled the White House from 1980 to 1992, crucial years in the evolution of motherhood
hated the women's movement and believed all women, with the possible exception of Phyllis Schlafly, should remain in the kitchen on their knees polishing their husband's shoes and golf clubs while teaching their kids that Darwin was a very bad man. Unless the mothers were poor and black
those moms had to get back to work ASAP, because by staying home they were wrecking the country. ~ Susan Douglas
All Women quotes by Susan Douglas
...A great night, yes sir, exclaimed one of them licking his chops and another confirmed, Those seven were worth fourteen, it's true that one of them was no great shakes, but in the middle of all that uproar who noticed, their men are lucky sods, if they're man enough for them. It would be better if they weren't, then they'd be more eager. From the far end of the ward, the doctor's wife said, There are no longer seven of us, Has one of you vamoosed, someone in the group asked, laughing, She didn't vamoose, she died, Oh, hell, then you lot will have to work all the harder next time, It wasn't much of a loss, she was no great shakes, said the doctor's wife. Disconcerted, the messengers did not know how to respond, what they had just heard struck them as indecent, some of them even came round to thinking that when all is said and done all women are bitches, such a lack of respect, to refer to a woman like that, just because her tits weren't in the right place and she had no arse to speak of. ~ Jose Saramago
All Women quotes by Jose Saramago
I tell Mum she married a patriarch
Look at it this way, Amma, she says, your father was born male in Ghana in the 1920s whereas you were born female in London in the 1960s
And your point is?
You really can't expect him to 'get you', as you put it
I let her know she's an apologist for the patriarchy and complicit in a system that oppresses all women
She says human beings are complex
I tell her not patronize me ~ Bernardine Evaristo
All Women quotes by Bernardine Evaristo
Malcolm looked warily at her. 'She may be dangerous,' he said to Julian. 'Then again, all women are dangerous. ~ Cassandra Clare
All Women quotes by Cassandra Clare
And I think maybe all women, if they just had a chance, would be romantic and believe in love and not sex. And men believe in sex and not love. ~ Beatrice Wood
All Women quotes by Beatrice Wood
The Democrats' agenda isn't working for women. Their vision has produced big government and limited opportunity. Our vision is for limited government and opportunity for all. Women deserve better than what President Obama has delivered. ~ Reince Priebus
All Women quotes by Reince Priebus
I don't discuss women at all with anyone. There are good qualities in all women. Some may be lacking in some of these qualities and should have them. I'm liable to say so and hurt their feelings, and it wouldn't be meant that way at all. ~ Clark Gable
All Women quotes by Clark Gable
If you yell about one woman, you're not a misogynist. If I yell about Michelle Bachman, that doesn't make me a misogynist. If I compare all women to Michelle Bachman, then I'm a misogynist. ~ Lewis Black
All Women quotes by Lewis Black
The key to happiness: You may speak of love and tenderness and passion, but real ecstasy is discovering you haven't lost your keys after all. Women begin by resisting a man's advances and end by blocking his retreat. If you want to change a woman's mind, agree with her. If you want to know what a woman really means, look at her - don't listen to her. ~ Rajneesh
All Women quotes by Rajneesh
Only then will women be able to talk about what "beauty" really involves: the attention of people we do not know, rewards for things we did not earn, sex from men who reach for us as for a brass ring on a carousel, hostility and scepticism from other women, adolescence extended longer than it ought to be, cruel aging, and a long hard struggle for identity. And we will learn that what is good about "beauty" - the promise of confidence, sexuality, and the self-regard of a healthy individuality - are actually qualities that have nothing to do with "beauty" specifically, but are deserved by and, as the myth is dismantled, available to all women. The best that "beauty" offers belongs to us all by right of femaleness. When we separate "beauty" from sexuality, when we celebrate the individuality of our features and characteristics, women will have access to a pleasure in our bodies that unites us rather than divides us. The beauty myth will be history. ~ Naomi Wolf
All Women quotes by Naomi Wolf
[Women photographers] provide an inspiring reminder to all women that the choice to see, or be seen, is ours. We live in a culture in which this decision is undermined by the notion that the single most valuable contribution a woman can make is to be visually attractive. Women photographers make a strong case for seeing and an even stronger case for recording what you see. ~ Diane Keaton
All Women quotes by Diane Keaton
I'm perfectly happy when I look out at an audience and it's all women. I always think it's kind of odd, but then, more women than men, I think, read and write poetry. ~ Diane Wakoski
All Women quotes by Diane Wakoski
In woman, personal history blends together with the history of all women, as well as national and world history. As a militant, she is an integral part of all liberations. ~ Helene Cixous
All Women quotes by Helene Cixous
You hold the collective story of all women in your body. The muscle memory of generations past. This is your legacy, but it is not a prediction of your reality or your future. The difference is both delicate and profound and worth exploring. Pull in the wisdom of generations upon generations of witches and wild women and pioneers and mothers and lovers and midwives and subversives. And then forge your own path. The way only you can. You were born for this. ~ Jeanette LeBlanc
All Women quotes by Jeanette LeBlanc
The heart and life of a woman is much more vast than that. All women are made in the image of God in that we bring forth life. When we offer our tender and strong feminine hearts to the world and to those we love, we cannot help but mother them. ~ Stasi Eldredge
All Women quotes by Stasi Eldredge
He looked at his face carefully in the glass, put a big dab of lather on each cheek-bone. "It's an honest face. It's a face any woman would be safe with."
"She'd never seen it."
"She should have. All women should see it. It's a face that ought to be thrown on every screen in the country. Every woman ought to be given a copy of this face as she leaves the altar. Mothers should tell their daughters about this face. ~ Ernest Hemingway,
All Women quotes by Ernest Hemingway,
I wish I was smaller. There are things about my face I'd change. But like all women I do the best I can. ~ Brandy Clark
All Women quotes by Brandy Clark
From sixteen to twenty, all women, kept in humor by their hopes and by their attractions, appear to be good-natured. ~ Samuel Richardson
All Women quotes by Samuel Richardson
The difference between the butch and the queen is rooted in the system of male supremacy. Gay male camp is based not simply on the incongruous juxtaposition of femininity and maleness, but also on the reordering of particular power relationships inherent in our society's version of masculinity and femininity. The most obvious cause for the minimum development of camp among lesbians was that masculinity was not and still isn't as incongruous as femininity in twentieth century American culture and therefore not as easily used as a basis for humor. Concomitantly although individual women might be able to sexually objectify a man, women has a group did not have the social power to objectify men in general. Therefore, such objectification could never be the basis for a genre of humor with wide appeal. But why didn't camp develop and thrive within the lesbian community itself? Because the structures of oppression were such that lesbians never really escaped from male supremacy. In lesbians' actual struggles in the bars or out on the streets, authority was always male. For queens to confront male authority was a confrontation between two men, on some level equals. The queen was playing with male privilege, which was his by birthright. For women to confront male authority is to break all traditional training and roles. Without a solid organization of all women, this requires taking on a male identity, beating men at their own game. Fathers, do not let your sons forget

Do not let your sons forget
where their essence was just formed,
when their bodies were most vulnerable,
they were protected by the womb of a woman.

If they ever call all women weak,
remind them of the strength of their mother
who pulled her whole body apart
to give theirs a home. ~ Nikita Gill
