Knowing How quotes by Niccolo Machiavelli
Pragmatists are sometimes more prone to illusion than dreamers; when they fall for something, they fall hard, not knowing how to protect themselves, while we dreamers are more practiced in surviving the disillusionment that follows when we wake up from our dreams. ~ Azar Nafisi
Knowing How quotes by Azar Nafisi

By diminishing the value of silence, publicity has also diminished that of language. The two are inseparable: knowing how to speak has always meant knowing how to keep silent, knowing that there are times when one should say nothing. ~ Octavio Paz
Knowing How quotes by Octavio Paz
Israeli minister of defense Moshe Dayan - the architect of Israel's astonishing victory in the 1967 Six-Day War - also wrote an essay on the story of David and Goliath. According to Dayan, David fought Goliath not with inferior but (on the contrary) with superior weaponry; and his greatness consisted not in his being willing to go out into battle against someone far stronger than he was. But in his knowing how to exploit a weapon by which a feeble person could seize the advantage and become stronger. ~ Malcolm Gladwell
Knowing How quotes by Malcolm Gladwell
Knowing how to fall is much more valuable than knowing how to walk. ~ Diogo Mainardi
Knowing How quotes by Diogo Mainardi

Knowing How quotes by Hisaya Nakajo
I couldn't keep living this lie for a minute more. I've been sober for two hundred and eighty-three days. My sobriety requires me to apologize to you, but my heart can't take another day without you knowing how much I still love you, and how deeply sorry I am for the pain I've caused you. ~ Kindle Alexander
Knowing How quotes by Kindle Alexander
You could probably get through life without knowing how to roast a chicken, but the question is, would you want to? ~ Nigella Lawson

Knowing How quotes by Laurie Halse Anderson
Not knowing how near the truth is, we seek it far away. ~ Hakuin Ekaku
Knowing How quotes by Hakuin Ekaku
Effective teamwork will not take the place of knowing how to do the job or how to manage the work. Poor teamwork, however, can prevent effective final performance. And it can also prevent team members from gaining satisfaction in being a member of a team and the organization. ~ Robert Bales
Knowing How quotes by Robert Bales
I always have been trying to work on the other side of Jackie, and that is, making sure that my appearance, that my image, is right; also, working in the job world, knowing how it is to wake up and go to a job. ~ Jackie Joyner-Kersee

Recovery is an important word and a vital concept. It means renewal of life and energy. Knowing how and when to recover may prove to be the most important skill in your life. ~ James E. Loehr
Knowing How quotes by James E. Loehr
To paraphrase the philosopher Nietzsche, he who has a strong enough why can bear almost any how. I've found that 20 percent of any change is knowing how; but 80 percent is knowing why. If we gather a set of strong enough reasons to change, we can change in a minute something we've failed to change for years. ~ Tony Robbins
Knowing How quotes by Tony Robbins
I love the thought of not knowing how things will turn out but the willingness to invest anyway. ~ Kristin Armstrong
Knowing How quotes by Kristin Armstrong
The secret to good cooking is knowing how to follow the recipe till you feel comfortable, ~ Natalie Baszile

Knowing How quotes by Alyson Noel
Knowing how to deal with change effectively is a primary requirement for living successfully in perhaps the most exciting time in all of human history ~ Brian Tracy
Knowing How quotes by Brian Tracy
Sonnet XVII
I do not love you as if you were salt-rose, or topaz,
or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off.
I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
in secret, between the shadow and the soul.
I love you as the plant that never blooms
but carries in itself the light of hidden flowers;
thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance,
risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body.
I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;
so I love you because I know no other way than this:
where I does not exist, nor you,
so close that your hand on my chest is my hand,
so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep. ~ Pablo Neruda
Knowing How quotes by Pablo Neruda
The pain comes from more than the facts of circumstance, or the deeds of others. It comes from within. From understanding what we lost. It comes from knowing how foolish we were - vain, arrogant children - when we thought ourselves happy. It comes from knowing how fragile and doomed the old ways were, just when we thought them and ourselves, secure!. The pain comes from knowing we have never been safe, and therefore will never be safe again. It comes from knowing we can never be children again. ~ John Jakes
Knowing How quotes by John Jakes
The art of genius is knowing how far out is too far. ~ Jean Cocteau
Knowing How quotes by Jean Cocteau
The success of most things depends upon knowing how long it will take to succeed. ~ Montesquieu
Knowing How quotes by Montesquieu
I told him that bed-and-breakfasts have ginormous whirlpool tubs, and that I'd be willing to do unspeakably sinful things to him
in it."
A strangled sound came from one of the two nerdy guys behind us in line, both wearing tortured expressions and staring at Erin. We stifled
laughs.
Maggie sighed. "Poor Chaz. He never had a chance… he's gonna be standing in front of a bunch of people saying 'I do' someday without
knowing how it happened."
"Ugh! I don't think so. When it's time to settle down, I'm getting somebody like…" Erin looked over her shoulder at the eavesdroppers behind
us, "like one of them."
The boys looked at each other and stood up a little straighter. With a smirk in Erin's direction, one of them fist-bumped the other. ~ Tammara Webber
Knowing How quotes by Tammara Webber
Sex is the strongest force in the universe. Forget about the Grand Unifying Theory, Stephen Hawking, I'll tell you what it is: women. Aren't women the strongest sex? What force is more magnetic than that? It's not just pussy. We're attracted to women for their energy. We're attracted to their fluidness, their ability to nurture a baby without even knowing how, to be able to put up with screaming and crying and colic and shitty diapers where men would go, "I'm fucking outta here! I'm gonna go kill me a saber-toothed woolly mammoth an'bring it on home to eat tonight. Wa-haaaaaa!" We don't have tits; we couldn't nourish a gnat. ~ Steven Tyler
Knowing How quotes by Steven Tyler
Get rid of all that is unnecessary. Wabi-sabi means treading lightly on the planet and knowing how to appreciate whatever is encountered, no matter how trifling, whenever it is encountered. [ ... ] In other words, wabi-sabi tells us to stop our preoccupation with success
wealth, status, power, and luxury
and enjoy the unencumbered life. Obviously, leading the simple wabi-sabi life requires some effort and will and also some tough decisions. Wabi-sabi acknowledges that just as it is important to know when to make choices, it is also important to know when not to make choices: to let things be. Even at the most austere level of material existence, we still live in a world of things. Wabi-sabi is exactly about the delicate balance between the pleasure we get from things and the pleasure we get from freedom of things. ~ Leonard Koren
Knowing How quotes by Leonard Koren
Part of knowing how to think is knowing how the laws of nature shape the world around us. Without that knowledge, without that capacity to think, you can easily become a victim of people who seek to take advantage of you. ~ Neil DeGrasse Tyson
Knowing How quotes by Neil DeGrasse Tyson
The secret of the mountain is that the mountains simply exist, as I do myself: the mountains exist simply, which I do not. The mountains have no "meaning," they are meaning; the mountains are. The sun is round. I ring with life, and the mountains ring, and when I can hear it, there is a ringing that we share. I understand all this, not in my mind but in my heart, knowing how meaningless it is to try to capture what cannot be expressed, knowing that mere words will remain when I read it all again, another day. ~ Peter Matthiessen
Knowing How quotes by Peter Matthiessen
I'm definitely one of those actresses who comes to a set knowing how I want to do a scene, and I definitely love input from my directors and my writers. I know that there's some actors who like to be left alone, they like to be very independent, but I actually really enjoy the teamwork. ~ Summer Glau
Knowing How quotes by Summer Glau
Every time a man (myself) gives way to vanity, every time he thinks and lives in order to show off, this is a betrayal. Every time, it has always been the great misfortune of wanting to show off which has lessened me in the presence of the truth. We do not need to reveal ourselves to others, but only to those we love. For then we are no longer revealing ourselves in order to seem but in order to give. There is much more strength in a man who reveals himself only when it is necessary. I have suffered from being alone, but because I have been able to keep my secret I have overcome the suffering of loneliness. To go right to the end implies knowing how to keep one's secret. And, today, there is no greater joy than to live alone and unknown. ~ Albert Camus
Knowing How quotes by Albert Camus
Why do people do that to gifted people? Is it jealousy? Fear? Both, maybe. But this kid had the advantage of knowing how good he was. ~ Stephen King
Knowing How quotes by Stephen King
I honestly always thought my Master's in Fine Arts would get me further in the acting world than knowing how to work an espresso machine! ~ James Michael Tyler
Knowing How quotes by James Michael Tyler
All the miseries of mankind come from one thing, not knowing how to remain alone. ~ Blaise Pascal
Knowing How quotes by Blaise Pascal
Every little trifle for some reason does seem incalculably important today and when you say of a thing that "nothing hangs on it" it sounds like blasphemy. There's never any knowing - how am I to put it? - which of our actions, which of our idlenesses won't have things hanging on it forever. ~ E. M. Forster
Knowing How quotes by E. M. Forster
She prayed to God to give him at least a moment so that he would not go without knowing how much she had loved him despite all their doubts, and she felt an irresistible longing to begin life with him over again so that they could say what they had left unsaid and do everything right that they had done badly in the past. ~ Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Knowing How quotes by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
The most important ingredient in the formula of success is knowing how to get along with other people. ~ Horace Mann
Knowing How quotes by Horace Mann
The audience looked at him. They felt he had no chance. They could drop the nameless resentment, the sense of insecurity which he aroused in most people. And so, for the first time, they could see him as he was: a man totally innocent of fear. The fear of which they thought was not the normal kind, not a response to a tangible danger, but the chronic, unconfessed fear in which they all lived. They remembered the misery of the moments when, in loneliness, a man thinks of the bright words he could have said, but had not found, and hates those who robbed him of his courage. The misery of knowing how strong and able one is in one's own mind, the radiant picture never to be made real. Dreams? Self-delusion? Or a murdered reality, unborn, killed by that corroding emotion without name - fear - need - dependence - hatred? ~ Ayn Rand
Knowing How quotes by Ayn Rand
Tips like that. Wearing necklaces, knowing how to layer, wearing a statement piece. Don't wear big earrings and a big necklace and a big ring all at the same time. Pick your magic. I have this whole thing: if you look good, you feel good, and if you feel good, you look good. ~ Molly Sims
Knowing How quotes by Molly Sims
...and I wonder if my lineage is one of women shrinking, making space for the entrance of men into their lives, not knowing how to fill it back up once they leave. I have been taught accommodation. ~ Lily Myers
Knowing How quotes by Lily Myers
It is only by knowing how little life has in store for us that we are able to look on the bright side and avoid disappointment. ~ Ellen Glasgow
Knowing How quotes by Ellen Glasgow
Until I became a parent, I thought children just naturally knew how to catch a ball, that catching was an instinctive biological reflex that all children are born with, like knowing how to operate a remote control or getting high fevers in distant airports. ~ Dave Barry
Knowing How quotes by Dave Barry
Knowing how you want your work to look helps you decide who best to work with and where. ~ Michele Jennae
Knowing How quotes by Michele Jennae
How I admired Natalie for the simple, but hard-won irreplaceable things she'd created and fostered by having a little trust and an ounce of faith in the world. The willingness to take leaps in spite of knowing how fragile it all is, how easily everything can break - how it can fall and shatter like broken glass in an instant. ~ Christine Carbo
Knowing How quotes by Christine Carbo
Just making the crowd laugh is not really doing things for me anymore. That's just knowing how to kill; I've learned how to kill - but also learned when a crowd's laughter is meaningful. ~ Patrice O'Neal
Knowing How quotes by Patrice O'Neal
When you cover politics, you realize that knowing how to talk about character matters more and more. The way we hold ideas is more important than the ideas. ~ David Brooks
Knowing How quotes by David Brooks
Is the competition really some mythical beast? No, not really. Knowing how to play your group of salespeople as a team, to overcome the group objective of winning the customers support, is the objective. The opposing team in proper viewpoint is not just the similar competing business to yours. Nor is it the competing franchises of your home office.
No, in order to really be effective in the market place as a surviving business, you must go beyond that philosophy. You must be willing to expand your viewpoint to fully understand who the competition truly is.
Your true competition is simply this: Anywhere that your customer would spend his or her dollars as opposed to spending them at your company or place of business. ~ Michael Delaware
Knowing How quotes by Michael Delaware
I like racing but food and pictures are more thrilling. I can't give them up. In racing you can be certain, to the last thousandth of a second, that someone is the best, but with a film or a recipe, there is no way of knowing how all the ingredients will work out in the end. The best can turn out to be awful and the worst can be fantastic. Cooking is like performing and performing like cooking. ~ Paul Newman
Knowing How quotes by Paul Newman
My line is probably a little more conservative than some of my compatriots in the business. But again, I think it's all - like, it just - it comes down to me knowing who I am and knowing how I want to be seen in the world, how I want to discuss things. ~ John Legend
Knowing How quotes by John Legend
Silence. All human unhappiness comes from not knowing how to stay quietly in a room. ~ Blaise Pascal
Knowing How quotes by Blaise Pascal
When I opened the box, I had to remove myself from whose handwriting it was that I was reading and whose story I was hearing. I had to, or I never would have made it past the first letter. If I stopped to think about my Grandpa writing to my Grandma, knowing how much he loved her and how many years he spent without her after her death, I knew I wouldn't be able to make it through just one letter without an onslaught of tears. And it was Grandpa, a voice I knew so well. One that I miss terribly. ~ Kara Martinelli
Knowing How quotes by Kara Martinelli
It turns out that knowing how loved we are by God makes all the difference in the kind of people we will become. ~ Jonathan Martin
Knowing How quotes by Jonathan Martin
Knowing you want to do something isn't the same as knowing how to do it, and even knowing how to do something isn't the same as actually doing it well. ~ Meg Jay
Knowing How quotes by Meg Jay
And I said to him when you learn to read then you learn everything you didnt know before. But when you write you write only what you know allready so patientia Im better off not knowing how to write because the ass is the ass ~ Umberto Eco
Knowing How quotes by Umberto Eco
As long as you are forced to be a woman first instead of a person, by default, you need to be a feminist. That's it. Men are people, women are women? Screw that. Screw that. I am sick of having words aimed to shut me up. I am sick of having to be anything other than a person first. Zounds! I enjoy being a girl, whatever that means. For me, that meant Star Wars figurines, mounds of books, skirts and flats. It meant Civil War reenacting and best girlfriends I'd give a kidney to and best guy friends I'd ruin a liver with and making messes and cleaning up some of them and still not knowing how to apply eye shadow. That's being a girl. That's being a person. It's the same damn thing. I wish Rush had just called me an idiot. I'm happy to be called an idiot! On the day when someone on the Internet calls me an idiot first and ugly second, I will set down my feminist battle flag and heave a great sigh. Then I will pick it back up and keep climbing. There are many more mountains to overcome. ~ Alexandra Petri
Knowing How quotes by Alexandra Petri
It's like jumping backwards into a snowdrift and not knowing how deeply you're going to sink. ~ Tarryn Fisher
Knowing How quotes by Tarryn Fisher
I grew up in an eclectic house where people were listening to all types of different music. I also think being educated, eloquent and knowing how to talk for yourself in the industry makes you go a long way. ~ Tinie Tempah
Knowing How quotes by Tinie Tempah
I think musicians are perfect at knowing how to get the best out of other musicians. I can really relate to that communion. ~ Adria Petty
Knowing How quotes by Adria Petty
A mystery man has just died in the novel. I've had these same thoughts when I see some of the homeless.

"Then there is rest around the lonely figure, now laid in its last earthly habitation; and it is watched by the gaunt eyes in the shutters through some quiet hours of night. If this forlorn man could have been prophetically seen lying here by the mother at whose breast he nestled, a little child, with eyes upraised to her loving face, and soft hand scarcely knowing how to close upon the neck to which it crept, what an impossibility the vision would have seemed! Oh, if in brighter days the now-extinguished fire within him ever burned for one woman who held him in her heart, where is she, while these ashes are above the ground! ~ Charles Dickens
Knowing How quotes by Charles Dickens
Innovation is the lifeblood of an organization. Knowing how to lead and work with creative people requires knowledge and action that often goes against the typical organizational structure. Protect unusual people from bureaucracy and legalism typical of organizations. ~ Max De Pree
Knowing How quotes by Max De Pree
most great truths are expressed in the common language of life; some understand them, but most people utter them without knowing how much they mean. ~ Marcus Aurelius Antoninus
Knowing How quotes by Marcus Aurelius Antoninus
People were wired to hell. He wanted to growl like a rabid mastiff when he heard someone say, "The body is a machine." What asshole thought of that? Screwed up and angry and wanting love, fucking desperate to get it and not knowing how to get it, and willing to do anything just to get a taste of it. Or worse, striking out because you couldn't get it-all that love you wanted. The body was not a machine. Machines and computers, he could deal with. There was always a solution for the problem.
What was the solution for him? ~ Benjamin Alire Saenz
Knowing How quotes by Benjamin Alire Saenz
You won't know the meaning of success without knowing how it feels to fail. ~ Kazu Kibuishi
Knowing How quotes by Kazu Kibuishi
Under a Certain Little Star"

My apologies to chance for calling it necessity.
My apologies to necessity in case I'm mistaken.
May happiness not be angry if I take it for my own.
May the dead forgive me that their memory's but a flicker.
My apologies to time for the multiplicity of the world overlooked
each second.
My apologies to an old love for treating the new one as the first.
Forgive me far-off wars for taking my flowers home.
Forgive me open wounds for pricking my finger.
My apologies for the minuet record, to those calling out from the
abyss.
My apologies to those in railway stations for sleeping comfortably
at five in the morning.
Pardon me hounded hope for laughing sometimes.
Pardon me deserts for not rushing in with a spoonful of water.
And you O hawk, the same bird for years in the same cage,
forever still and staring at the same spot,
absolve me even if you happened to be stuffed.
My apologies to the tree felled for four table legs.
My apologies to large questions for small answers.
Truth, do not pay me too much attention.
Solemnity, be magnanimous to me.
Endure, O mystery of being that I might pull threads from your
veil.

Soul, don't blame me that I've got you so seldom.
My apologies to everything that I can't be everywhere.
My apologies to all for not knowing how to be every man and
woman.
I know that ~ Wisława Szymborska
Knowing How quotes by Wisława Szymborska

The art of living is the art of knowing how to believe lies. ~ Cesare Pavese
Knowing How quotes by Cesare Pavese
he destroyed her wings
then punished her
for not knowing how to fly ~ R.h Sin
Knowing How quotes by R.h Sin
But "Bloody Sunday" was only the beginning of a year of terror. Three weeks later, in February, Grand Duke Serge, the Tsar's uncle and Ella's husband, was assassinated in Moscow. The Grand Duke, who took a harsh pride in knowing how bitterly he was hated by revolutionaries, had just said goodbye to his wife in their Kremlin apartment and was driving through one of the gates when a bomb exploded on top of him. Hearing the shuddering blast, Ella cried, "It's Serge," and rushed to him. What she found was not her husband, but a hundred unrecognizable pieces of flesh, bleeding into the snow. ~ Robert K. Massie
Knowing How quotes by Robert K. Massie
For if men needed speech in order to learn to think, they had a still greater need for knowing how to think in order to discover the art of speaking - Rousseau ~ Jean-Jacques Rousseau
Knowing How quotes by Jean-Jacques Rousseau
Real artists find answers. The knowledge of the artisan is within the confines of his skills. For example, I know a lot about lenses, about the editing room. I know what the different buttons on the camera are for. I know more or less how to use a microphone. I know all that, but that's not real knowledge. Real knowledge is knowing how to live, why we live, things like that. ~ Krzysztof Kieslowski
Knowing How quotes by Krzysztof Kieslowski
The World

"You know the saddest thing," she said. "The saddest thing is that we're you."
I said nothing.
"In your fantasies," she said, "my people are just like you. Only better. We don't die or age or suffer from pain or cold or thirst. We're snappier dressers. We possess the wisdom of the ages. And if we crave blood, well, it is no more than the way you people crave food or affection or sunlight - and besides, it gets us out of the house. Crypt. Coffin. Whatever."
"And the truth is?" I ask her.
"We're you," she said. "We're you with all your fuckups and all the things that make you human - all your fears and lonelinesses and confusions... none of that gets better.
"But we're colder than you are. Deader. I miss daylight and food and knowing how it feels to touch someone and care. I remember life, and meeting people as people and not just as things to feed on or control, and I remember what it was to feel something, anything, happy or sad or anything..." And then she stopped.
"Are you crying?" I asked.
"We don't cry," she told me. Like I said, the woman was a liar."

Fifteen Painted Cards From A Vampire Tarot ~ Neil Gaiman
Knowing How quotes by Neil Gaiman
I remember, in elementary school, being asked what my father does and not knowing how to answer. When I asked my mom what I should say next time, she replied, "Just say he's self-employed." I love that. ~ Yoshi Wada
Knowing How quotes by Yoshi Wada
I suspect she will be like air. Like knowing how to breathe. ~ Renee Ahdieh
Knowing How quotes by Renee Ahdieh
He says nothing. Not because he disagrees, or disapproves, but because he's crying. Faintly I hear my father sniffling and wiping away tears, and I know he's proud, just incapable of expressing it. I can't fault the man for not knowing how to say what's in his heart. It's the family curse. ~ Andre Agassi
Knowing How quotes by Andre Agassi
Half the confusion in the world comes from not knowing how little we need. ~ Richard Evelyn Byrd
Knowing How quotes by Richard Evelyn Byrd
No one makes a revolution by himself; and there are some revolutions which humanity accomplishes without quite knowing how, because it is everybody who takes them in hand. ~ George Sand
Knowing How quotes by George Sand
Information is strength without coordination. We become a danger mostly to ourselves when we have it. Understanding is the ability to coordinate that raw information in meaningful ways. Understanding creates a certain enthusiasm. We can direct our knowledge toward potentially useful ends
but we may also be a danger to others. Wisdom, however, is knowing how, when, and why we use our understanding; wisdom is settling into our understanding without being too enamored by it. ~ Shane Hipps
Knowing How quotes by Shane Hipps
Contemplating while barefoot on the grounds my father and grandfather walked, I saw my life clearly. With African sun nibbling on my dark skin and gentle winds soothing my foreboding, my past life and current responsibilities overwhelmed me occasionally. Abundant tears flowed freely. Dripping on my face and clothes. Travelling through the ancient roads created by my forefathers, grasslands, trees and anthills kept me company. A lonely journey. I knew that nothing remains the same, but ones past never changes. Even in the loneliness of my past, I accepted that you cannot effectively go forward without knowing how and where you started your journey. Even in that state of near dejection I was aware that my sojourn in foreign lands is not forever, but my lording of this beautiful land, my own Africa, where my spent body will finally rest someday, is for eternity. Nothing remains the same, but nothing ever changes. It depends on how you look at your life. ~ Fidelis O. Mkparu
Knowing How quotes by Fidelis O. Mkparu
The footman burst in, announcing, 'Monsieur le Duc de
.'
'Hold your tongue, you fool,' said the Duke as he entered the room. He said this so well, and with such majesty than Julien could not help thinking that knowing how to lose his temper with a footman was the whole extent of this great personage's knowledge. ~ Stendhal
Knowing How quotes by Stendhal
The moment I stepped on the American boat which was to take me to New York I felt I was in another world. I was among the go-getters again, among the restless souls, who, not knowing how to live their own life, wish to change the world for everybody. ~ Henry Miller
Knowing How quotes by Henry Miller
Happiness isn't a state, it's a skill. It's the skill of knowing how to take what life throws your way and make the most of it. ~ Gary Null
Knowing How quotes by Gary Null
So if you love him, why keep him waiting for 13 years?"
"Because I was afraid. Afraid of not being worthy, afraid of not knowing how to love him, afraid of waking up one day and not loving him anymore. ~ Guillaume Musso
Knowing How quotes by Guillaume Musso
You cannot escape that you are a woman," she began.
"I wish I could," Firekeeper muttered, but Elise continued as if she hadn't heard.
"Since you cannot, you cannot escape the expectations that our society and our class places upon women."
"Why?" Firekeeper said querulously.
"...Consider," she offered, "what you told me about learning to see at night so that you could hunt with the wolves. Learning to wear a gown, to walk gracefully, to eat politely…"
"I do that!"
"You're learning," Elise admitted, "but don't change the subject. All of these are ways of learning to see in the dark."
"Maybe," Firekeeper said, her tone unconvinced.
"Can you climb a tree?"
"Yes."
"Swim?"
"Yes!" This second affirmative was almost indignant.
"And these skills let you go places that you could not go without them."
Stubborn silence. Elise pressed her point.
"Why do you like knowing how to shoot a bow?"
"It lets me kill farther," came the answer, almost in a growl.
"And using a sword does the same?"
"Yes."
"Let me tell you, Firekeeper, knowing a woman's arts can keep you alive, let you invade private sanctums, even help you to subdue your enemies. If you don't know those arts, others who do will always have an advantage over you."
"All this from wearing a gown that tangles your feet? ~ Jane Lindskold
Knowing How quotes by Jane Lindskold
Don't do anything. Just tolerate me and let me suffer, knowing how you feel. ~ Stanley Kubrick
Knowing How quotes by Stanley Kubrick
The best part about being my age is in knowing how my life worked out. Sure, there's a lot more living to go, but there isn't much doubt that I'll always be the 'Dilbert guy.' Unless I go on a crime spree, in which case I'll be that stabbin Dilbert guy. ~ Scott Adams
Knowing How quotes by Scott Adams
I was heavily involved on all fronts: with mountaineering outfitters, who oddly enough never fathomed the depths of my ignorance; possibly because they couldn't conceive of anyone acquiring such a collection of equipment without knowing how to use it… ~ Eric Newby
Knowing How quotes by Eric Newby
You have no idea what you do to me," he said as he stood. "I could barely keep my hands off you last night, even after seeing what you'd been through this week. Even after knowing how wrecked you were when you told me. And I"m going to spend an eternity in hell for that dream I had about you on your birthday. But if I could call it up again, I'd spend it twice. ~ Michelle Hodkin
Knowing How quotes by Michelle Hodkin
Any fool can have bad luck; the art consists in knowing how to exploit it. ~ Frank Wedekind
Knowing How quotes by Frank Wedekind
One secret of happiness in life is to know the very basic of life economy, deciding what kind of life you want and knowing how much you need to achieve just that. The earlier you know how much is enough the better and happier you will be in life. ~ Tim I. Gurung
Knowing How quotes by Tim I. Gurung
