The dinosaur's eloquent lesson is that if some bigness is good, an overabundance of bigness is not necessarily better. ~ Eric Johnston
Dinosaurs quotes by Eric Johnston
I've been blogging since February of 2001. When I started blogging, it was a dinosaur blog. It was me and a handful of tyrannosaurs. We'd be writing blog entries like, 'The tyrannosaurus is getting grumpy.' ~ Neil Gaiman
Dinosaurs quotes by Neil Gaiman
... Magic is often a tricky thing. Often it is explainable. People fly through the air in planes and live underwater in submarines. Plants grow within weeks and cities operate and sustain millions of people. A person can talk to practically anyone almost anywhere around the world instantly. People's images are transported by photo in the time it takes to press a button. Dinosaurs seem real, huge apes exist, and other worlds are a movie ticket away. ~ Obert Skye
Dinosaurs quotes by Obert Skye
At the bat of your lashes peacocks preen. Peacocks preen, elephants remember, camels go for days without water, and dinosaurs of all types become extinct. ~ Tom Robbins
Dinosaurs quotes by Tom Robbins
There's something about dinosaurs that should be very humbling to human beings. ~ Colin Trevorrow
Dinosaurs quotes by Colin Trevorrow
A cockroach can't defeat a dinosaur. But the cockroach is better at one thing, and it has ensured its survival through the ages: Adaptation. One could adapt to the environment and the other one couldn't. ~ Georges St-Pierre
Dinosaurs quotes by Georges St-Pierre
Many dinosaurs were smaller than chickens. ~ Ken Ham
Dinosaurs quotes by Ken Ham
I found my first dinosaur bone when I was 6, growing up in Montana. Ever since then I've been interested in dinosaurs. ~ Jack Horner
Dinosaurs quotes by Jack Horner
Being dead will be no different from being unborn
I shall be just as I was in the time of William the Conqueror or the dinosaurs or the trilobites. There is nothing to fear in that. ~ Richard Dawkins
Dinosaurs quotes by Richard Dawkins
Man, I so sick of dinosaurs. They wasn't extinct, I'd go out an' kill 'em myself. ~ Lawrence Block
Dinosaurs quotes by Lawrence Block
We live in a time where we have more extinction happening on our planet than since the dinosaurs were wiped out 50 million years ago. ~ Jeff Corwin
Dinosaurs quotes by Jeff Corwin
And it all started with a field trip, a giant dinosaur model, and an especially noticeable pair of teal eyes. ~ Shannon Messenger
Dinosaurs quotes by Shannon Messenger
He was about as stupid as an animal could be and still live. ~ Roy Chapman Andrews
Dinosaurs quotes by Roy Chapman Andrews
In short, capitalism depends on ever-growing amounts of state intervention in the market for its survival, and the system is hitting the point where the teat runs dry.

The result is a system in which governments and corporations are increasingly hollowed out. And meanwhile, growing up within this corporate capitalist "integument," things like open source software and culture, open-source industrial design, permaculture and low-overhead garage micromanufacturing eat the corporate-state economy alive. An ever-growing share of labor and production are disappearing into relocalized resilient economies, self-employment, worker cooperatives and the informal and household economy. In the end, they will skeletonize the corporate dinosaurs like a swarm of piranha. ~ Kevin A. Carson
Dinosaurs quotes by Kevin A. Carson
Technology has a great advantage in that we are capable of creating dinosaurs and show them on the screen even though they are extinct 65 million years. All of a sudden, we have a fantastic tool that is as good as dreams are. ~ Werner Herzog
Dinosaurs quotes by Werner Herzog
Go back in time. Next question go and look at dinosaurs. I would be sitting on a rock looking at a T- Rex, loving life. ~ Oliver Sykes
Dinosaurs quotes by Oliver Sykes
No amount of study of present forms [of life] would permit us to infer [the existence of] dinosaurs ~ Max Delbruck
Dinosaurs quotes by Max Delbruck
Giving Birth by Marcus Amaker

do you remember
when the earth was just a baby,
settling in its skin,
safe in the arms of mother nature
with fire breathing from within.
you were not shackled by time
and life roamed around your heart
with the weight of dinosaurs,
leaving footprints in your lungs.
and the first time you saw the sun
you could barely breathe
because the possibility of endless light
planted a seed
so you admire the strength of trees,
who naturally grew into
unwavering beauty,
staring down the mouth of
time.

do you remember being 11 years old
when your mother told you
"birth is more painful than dying"
and you burst with dreams
without even trying,
seeking light in your heart,
where shadows now rest
comfortably next to fear.
but you come out of the woods clear,
with nature's breath
under your tongue,
and a weightless bliss,
no longer scared of
death. ~ Marcus Amaker
Dinosaurs quotes by Marcus Amaker
I'm saying, Come on, the global warming thing? How did the ice melt during the ice ages? Was the dinosaurs driving SUVs around back then? ~ Larry The Cable Guy
Dinosaurs quotes by Larry The Cable Guy
You know what killed off the dinosaurs, Whateley? We did. In one barbecue. ~ Neil Gaiman
Dinosaurs quotes by Neil Gaiman
History, with its hard spine & dog-eared Corners, will be replaced with nuance, Just like the dinosaurs gave way To mounds and mounds of ice. ~ Tracy K. Smith
Dinosaurs quotes by Tracy K. Smith
If you want to write a fantasy story with Norse gods, sentient robots, and telepathic dinosaurs, you can do just that. Want to throw in a vampire and a lesbian unicorn while you're at it? Go ahead. Nothing's off limits. But the endless possibility of the genre is a trap. It's easy to get distracted by the glittering props available to you and forget what you're supposed to be doing: telling a good story. Don't get me wrong, magic is cool. But a nervous mother singing to her child at night while something moves quietly through the dark outside her house? That's a story. Handled properly, it's more dramatic than any apocalypse or goblin army could ever be. ~ Patrick Rothfuss
Dinosaurs quotes by Patrick Rothfuss
The mark was from the glue that once held a folder into which a library card would have fitted back in the day when dinosaurs roamed the earth and computers were the size of washing machines. ~ Ben Aaronovitch
Dinosaurs quotes by Ben Aaronovitch
And the moral is: If you ever find yourself in the wrong story, leave. - Mo Willems, Goldilocks and the Three Dinosaurs ~ Elisabeth Egan
Dinosaurs quotes by Elisabeth Egan
Had we not decided to perform this as gracefully as a dancer's leap? But we turned it into a dinosaur's dance party! ~ Pawan Mishra
Dinosaurs quotes by Pawan Mishra
I have to own up and say that, much as I love my PowerBook, which now does about 97.8 percent of what I used to use the lumbering old desktop dinosaurs for, I've given up trying to use it on planes. Yes, yes, I know that there are sorts of power-user strategies you can use to extend your battery life - dimming modes, RAM disks, processor-resting, and so on - but the point is that I really can't be bothered. I'm perfectly capable of just reading the in-flight magazine if I want to be irritated. ~ Douglas Adams
Dinosaurs quotes by Douglas Adams
To defend my fear of sudden change, I chose to believe that life was incremental, that the tiny decisions you make every day determine your fate, that your job is to captain an enormous ship subtly into ever-clearer waters. But that's not how it works at all. Life occurs in moments. You get into college. You propose. You get the job. You get cancer. You get fired. She leaves you ... Because I was born in a stable country at a stable time, I falsely extrapolated that change is incremental. But if you zoom out just a little bit, you see that life is soccer, not basketball. It's revolution, invention, war. It's big bangs, exploding stars, asteroids killing the dinosaurs. Which means that all the action is in the risk taking, whether I want it to be or not. ~ Joel Stein
Dinosaurs quotes by Joel Stein
Traditional dinosaur theory is full of short circuits. Like the antiquated wiring in an old house, the details sputter and burn out when specific parts are tested. ~ Robert T. Bakker
Dinosaurs quotes by Robert T. Bakker
In science's pecking order, evolutionary biology lurks somewhere near the bottom, far closer to phrenology than to physics. For evolutionary biology is a historical science, laden with history's inevitable imponderables. We evolutionary biologists cannot generate a Cretaceous Park to observe exactly what killed the dinosaurs; and, unlike "harder" scientists, we usually cannot resolve issues with a simple experiment, such as adding tube A to tube B and noting the color of the mixture. ~ Jerry A. Coyne
Dinosaurs quotes by Jerry A. Coyne
Josephy visited several leading Manhattan bookstores and sadly discovered the explanation [from his agent] to be generally correct; books about Indians were shelved in the back of the stores alongside books about natural history, dinosaurs, plants, birds, and animals rather than being placed alongside biographies and histories of Americans, Europeans, Asians, Africans, and other great world cultures. Puzzled, Josephy began asking bookstore managers for a justification of this marketing tactic and was informed that Indian books had "just always been placed there." The longer he pondered booksellers' indifference toward Indians, the more annoyed Josephy became with the realization that bookstore marketing tactics were simply a reflection of the pervasive thinking throughout the United States in 1961: Americans believed Indians to be a vanished people. "Thinking about it made me angry," Josephy wrote in his autobiography, "and I vowed that someday, some way, I would do something about this ignorant insult. ~ Bobby Bridger
Dinosaurs quotes by Bobby Bridger
What is this place? Jurassic Park? ~ Mark A. Cooper
Dinosaurs quotes by Mark A. Cooper
Kids today aren't listening to music audio-only. They're picking up a CD and looking at the lyric sheet and wondering why the pictures aren't moving around. Who wants to do that? It's like Bam Bam Flintstone hanging with the dinosaurs vs. Elroy Jetson who's flying around space. If I'm a kid, I wanna be kicking it with Elroy. ~ Will.i.am
Dinosaurs quotes by Will.i.am
If truth were a crayon and it was up to me to put a wrapper on it and name it's color, I know just what I would call it-dinosaur skin. ~ Sarah Weeks
Dinosaurs quotes by Sarah Weeks
She'd spent forever trying to find him something personal, settling on a miniature Albertosaurus covered in deep violet feathers. She knew it was silly, but it reminded her of the day they met, and in the card she thanked him for showing her what dinosaurs really looked like. ~ Shannon Messenger
Dinosaurs quotes by Shannon Messenger
I'm not talking about losing [agricultural] diversity in the same way that you lose your car keys. I'm talking about losing it in the same way that we lost the dinosaurs: actually losing it, never to be seen again. ~ Cary Fowler
Dinosaurs quotes by Cary Fowler
Active conservation [of gorillas] involves simply going out into the forest, on foot, day after day after day, attempting to capture poachers, killing-regretfully-poacher dogs, which spread rabies within the park, and cutting down traps. ~ Dian Fossey
Dinosaurs quotes by Dian Fossey
Don't get me wrong, God Bless the farmers and cowboys. It just wasn't the life I wanted. When writing stories of other lands, I can describe people and places from actual experience. And for someone with an imagination like me, I could see dinosaurs and lost civilizations in the jungle of Vietnam. ~ Tom Johnson
Dinosaurs quotes by Tom Johnson
'Jurassic World' takes place in a fully functional park on Isla Nublar. It sees more than 20,000 visitors every day. You arrive by ferry from Costa Rica. It has elements of a biological preserve, a safari, a zoo, and a theme park. There is a luxury resort with hotels, restaurants, nightlife and a golf course. And there are dinosaurs. ~ Colin Trevorrow
Dinosaurs quotes by Colin Trevorrow
I want to make movies just like "King Kong." You know, dinosaurs, big gorillas - it's everything that a nine year-old boy would fall in love with. ~ Peter Jackson
Dinosaurs quotes by Peter Jackson
The Happy Trinity is her home: nothing can trouble her joy.
She is the bird that evades every net: the wild deer that leaps every pitfall.
Like the mother bird to its chickens or a shield to the armed knight: so is the Lord to her mind, in His unchanging lucidity.
Bogies will not scare her in the dark: bullets will not frighten her in the day.
Falsehoods tricked out as truths assail her in vain: she sees through the lie as if it were glass.
The invisible germ will not harm her: nor yet the glittering sunstroke.
A thousand fail to solve the problem, ten thousand choose the wrong turning: but she passes safely through.
He details immortal gods to attend her: upon every road where she must travel.
They take her hand at hard places: she will not stub her toes in the dark.
She may walk among lions and rattlesnakes: among dinosaurs and nurseries of lionettes.
He fills her brim full with immensity of life: he leads her to see the world's desire. ~ C.S. Lewis
Dinosaurs quotes by C.S. Lewis
By the time it was over, I'd learned all the right words for all the dinosaurs (pretty much the same as they were in English), and multiple variations of "Help, for the love of God!," which might come in handy should I ever take up any of the activities that scared me most. It was also past five o'clock.Time to go. I extricated myself from the chair, leaving a distinctly Ella-shaped imprint, and retrieved my jacket. ~ Melissa Jensen
Dinosaurs quotes by Melissa Jensen
Let's examine the nature of the beast, so to speak. The male animal. Isn't there a fund, a pool, a reservoir of potential violence in the male psyche? ... Isn't there a deep field, a sort of crude oil deposit that one might tap if and when the occasion warrants? A great dark lake of male rage ... Isn't there a sludgy region you'd rather not know about? A remnant of some prehistoric period when dinosaurs roamed the earth and men fought with flint tools? When to kill was to live? ... Only your code allows you to enter the system. ~ Don DeLillo
Dinosaurs quotes by Don DeLillo
Corporate America is a 20th-century dinosaur, trembling on the edge of extinction, and the only way for you to have a genuinely secure future is for you to take control of that future. ~ Robert Kiyosaki
Dinosaurs quotes by Robert Kiyosaki
Martin heaved a heavy sigh, settling deeper into the cushions of the couch. "Like I said, everyone is the main character in their own story. Even villains."
I shook my head. "I don't know ... Not necessarily. I mean, sometimes the story is bigger than the characters, like Jurassic Park. The Park was really the central focus of the story, and all the characters were secondary to the Park. Their only purpose was to react to the Park."
Martin yawned, set his now empty beer on the coffee table, and closed his eyes. "That's because dinosaurs are awesome. We're all sidekicks to dinosaurs."
"Or dinner. ~ Penny Reid
Dinosaurs quotes by Penny Reid
My forte is the music. But obviously if ya don't keep up with the business, then your kinda doing it for nothing. So I do plan on being well off doing, maximizing what I do now. I heard Jimmy Kimmel describe being in your thirties in hip-hop is like the equivalent to being 300 yrs. old; almost like a dinosaur. ~ DJ Quik
Dinosaurs quotes by DJ Quik
I think all kids understand from a very tender age that dinosaurs were real. They really walked around. That instantly sets them apart from monsters. And it instantly makes them safe. Because you can love 'em, and they're never going to bite you. They're not like a dog. They're safer than a pet, in a weird way. ~ Stephen R. Bissette
Dinosaurs quotes by Stephen R. Bissette
I stop reading after half an hour. I've had enough. Humanity has hit a brick wall. We're facing our end, like the dinosaurs millions of years before us. The only difference is we've got journalists on hand to document every blow and setback, cataloguing our rapid, painful downfall in vibrant, vicious detail. Personally, I think the dinosaurs had the better deal. When it comes to impending, unavoidable extinction, ignorance is bliss. ~ Darren Shan
Dinosaurs quotes by Darren Shan
Copyright law is a dinosaur, ill-suited for the landscape of today's media. ~ Kaskade
Dinosaurs quotes by Kaskade
In the face of the obscene, explicit malice of the jungle, which lacks only dinosaurs as punctuation, I feel like a half-finished, poorly expressed sentence in a cheap novel. ~ Werner Herzog
Dinosaurs quotes by Werner Herzog
My son's always showing me pictures of dinosaurs and asking me what their names are. I dont know so I make stuff up: That son is a thesaurus. ~ Craig Ferguson
Dinosaurs quotes by Craig Ferguson
How many of us are dead because of their potential unleashed? Your calorie masters showed us what happens. People die."

"Everyone dies." The doctor waves a dismissal. "But you die now because you cling to the past. We should all be windups by now. It's easier to build a person impervious to blister rust than to protect an earlier version of the human creature. A generation from now, we could be well-suited for our new environment. Your children could be the beneficiaries. Yet you people refuse to adapt. You cling to some idea of a humanity that evolved in concert with your environment over millennia, and which you now, perversely, refuse to remain in lockstep with.

"Blister rust is our environment. Cibiscosis. Genehack weevil. Cheshires. They have adapted. Quibble as you like about whether they evolved naturally or not. Our environment has changed. If we wish to remain at the top of our food chain, we will evolve. Or we will refuse, and go the way of the dinosaurs and Felis domesticus. Evolve or die. It has always been nature's guiding principle, and yet you white shirts seek to stand in the way of inevitable change." He leans forward. "I want to shake you sometimes. If you would just let me, I could be your god and shape you to the Eden that beckons us."

"I'm Buddhist."

"And we all know windups have no souls." Gibbons grins. "No rebirth for them. They will have to find their own gods to protect them. Their own gods to pray for thei ~ Paolo Bacigalupi
Dinosaurs quotes by Paolo Bacigalupi
Working with crocodiles is always amazing because they're beautiful. They're modern day dinosaurs, which is really cool. ~ Bindi Irwin
Dinosaurs quotes by Bindi Irwin
Do you know how hard it is to gather seventy thousand people? Especially people who are confused and scared that they might be eaten by hungry dinosaurs? ~ D.J. MacHale
Dinosaurs quotes by D.J. MacHale
If God spent 180 million years making dinosaurs, what makes us think Man is so special, a tick of the clock before midnight? ~ Laurence Overmire
Dinosaurs quotes by Laurence Overmire
We don't know what those other cycles were caused by in the past. Could be dinosaur flatulence, you know, or who knows? ~ Dana Rohrabacher
Dinosaurs quotes by Dana Rohrabacher
Everybody thinks it's going to be different for them, Janice said. The dinosaurs thought so too. ~ Kathryn Davis
Dinosaurs quotes by Kathryn Davis
The screaming redoubled. You put dinosaurs and people together, you always get screaming. ~ Jodi Taylor
Dinosaurs quotes by Jodi Taylor
At 378 parts per million, current CO2 levels are unprecedented in recent geological history. (The previous high, of 299 parts per million, was reached around 325,000 years ago). It is believed that the last time carbon dioxide levels were comparable to today's was three and a half million years ago, during what is known as the mid-Pliocene warm period, and it is likely that they have not been much higher since the Eocene, some fifty million years ago. In the Eocene, crocodiles roamed Colorado and sea levels were nearly three hundred feet higher than they are today. A scientist with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) put it to me - only half-jokingly - this way: It's true that we've had higher CO2 levels before. But, then, of course, we also had dinosaurs. ~ Elizabeth Kolbert
Dinosaurs quotes by Elizabeth Kolbert
Since some stars are so far away that their light takes millions of years just to reach us. That we see stars not as they look now, but as they were when dinosaurs roamed the earth. ~ Nicholas Sparks
Dinosaurs quotes by Nicholas Sparks
4. People talk about the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs, like it just happened one day. All the dinosaurs were hanging out, all together in an open field, and the asteroid slammed down and destroyed them, killed them all and all at once. Not so, of course. Some died on the day, no doubt about it, and probably a lot - but the whole business took years. Generations, maybe. They can't say for sure. They know that a ten-kilometer ~ Ben H. Winters
Dinosaurs quotes by Ben H. Winters
killing the dinosaurs is the only way to give life to human ~ SATs
Dinosaurs quotes by SATs
And I've been thinking: if the human race manages to destroy itself, as it often seems to want to do, or if some great disaster comes, as it did for the dinosaurs, then the birds will still manage to survive. When our gardens and fields and farms and woods have turned wild, when the park at the end of Falconer Road has turned into a wilderness, when our cities are in ruins, the birds will go on flying and singing and making their nests and laying their eggs and raising their young. It could be that the birds will exist for ever and for ever until the earth itself comes to an end, no matter what might happen to the other creatures. They'll sing until the end of time. So here's my thought: If there is a God, could it be that He's chosen the birds to speak for Him. Could it be true? The voice of God speaks through the beaks of birds. ~ David Almond
Dinosaurs quotes by David Almond
The last time I dated, dinosaurs roamed the earth. We didn't even have electricity. ~ Susan Mallery
Dinosaurs quotes by Susan Mallery
I know how you feel, but it's just a fact of life. The sky is blue, dinosaurs are big, boy bands are terrible, and Avery doesn't belong to us. She never did. ~ J.M. Darhower
Dinosaurs quotes by J.M. Darhower
What have we done to our images? What have we done to our embarrassed landscapes? I have said this before and will repeat it again as long as I am able to talk: if we do not develop adequate images we will die out like dinosaurs. ~ Werner Herzog
Dinosaurs quotes by Werner Herzog
Dinosaurs are the best way to teach kids, and adults, the immensity of geologic time. ~ Robert T. Bakker
Dinosaurs quotes by Robert T. Bakker
There's a cluster of five galaxies called Stephan's Quintet, which we see through the Hubble telescope spectacularly colliding with each other. But we see them colliding 280 million years ago. If there are aliens in one of those colliding galaxies with a telescope powerful enough to see us, what they are seeing on Earth, at this very moment, here and now, is the early ancestors of the dinosaurs. ~ Richard Dawkins
Dinosaurs quotes by Richard Dawkins
Humanity is creating an extinction event that will make every war ever fought a footnote to history. We belong to the only generation in history that can turn this around - we're one step away from greatness or the biggest disaster since the meteor wiped out the dinosaurs. ~ Louie Psihoyos
Dinosaurs quotes by Louie Psihoyos
Scientists are actually preoccupied with accomplishment. So they are focused on whether they can do something. They never stop to ask if they should do something. ~ Michael Crichton
Dinosaurs quotes by Michael Crichton
Human life may not be more than a meaningless interlude in a vicious drama of flesh and bones that we call evolution; that the Creator may not care any more for the destiny of man or the self-perpetuation of individual men than He seems to have cared for the dinosaurs or the Tasmanians. ~ Ernest Becker
Dinosaurs quotes by Ernest Becker
At the end of a mass extinction, the tree of life has lost several branches-and yet, afterward, life does go on. Plants regreen the earth and animals repopulate the oceans; different species relentless forward march. There will be life on planet Earth after the sixth mass extinction, but we are not able to imagine it any better than the dinosaurs could have imagined a world dominated by mammals walking on two legs, driving bulldozers, and flying airplanes. ~ Hope Jahren
Dinosaurs quotes by Hope Jahren
Dinosaur: I plan to use punctuated equilibrium to turn this zit into a third eye. Catbert: That's not a natural advantage. You'd better stay away from the fitter dinosaurs. ~ Scott Adams
Dinosaurs quotes by Scott Adams
So instead I stare at the steaming liquid dripping into a coffeepot and start thinking of steaming volcanoes. And dinosaurs standing around drinking coffee, staring up at the giant meteor soaring through the air, commenting on how pretty it is. ~ Lynda Mullaly Hunt
Dinosaurs quotes by Lynda Mullaly Hunt
Contrary to popular belief, the Loch Ness Monster is not a dinosaur
it's a huge mutant duck, a top researcher claims ... Most mainstream Nessie researchers consider Gluber's duck theory to be horse feathers and are trying to blast it out of the water. ~ Murphy J. Foster, Jr.
Dinosaurs quotes by Murphy J. Foster, Jr.
Jazz is not gonna be a dinosaur and stay around in one form. ~ McCoy Tyner
Dinosaurs quotes by McCoy Tyner
Since then I have learned many things, and above all the way in which dinosaurs conquer. First I had believed that disappearing had been, for my brothers, the magnanimous acceptance of a defeat; now I knew that the more the dinosaurs disappear, the more they extend their dominion, and over forests far more vast than those that cover the continents: in the labyrinth of the survivor's thoughts. From the semidarkness of fears and doubts of now ignorant generations, the Dinosaurs continued to extend their necks, to raise their taloned hoofs, and when the last shadow of their image had been erased, their name went on, superimposed on all meanings, perpetuating their presence in relations among living beings. Now, when the name too had been erased, they would become one thing with the mute and anonymous molds of thought, through which thoughts take on form and substance: by the New Ones, and by those who would come after the New Ones, and those who would come even after them. ~ Italo Calvino
Dinosaurs quotes by Italo Calvino
I really need to restructure my life so I can spend more time reading abstracts and less time punching dinosaurs."

- Atomic Robo ~ Brian Clevinger
Dinosaurs quotes by Brian Clevinger
Overregulation stifles creativity. It smothers innovation. It gives dinosaurs a veto over the future. It wastes the extraordinary opportunity for a democratic creativity that digital technology enables. ~ Lawrence Lessig
Dinosaurs quotes by Lawrence Lessig
Fifteen states across the country have gas prices that have dipped below $2. That means it's now cheaper to buy a gallon of liquefied dinosaurs than one cup of coffee at Starbucks. ~ Jimmy Fallon
Dinosaurs quotes by Jimmy Fallon
At the meeting of our lips, peacocks went into hiding, elephants suffered memory loss, camels developed a maddening thirst, and dinosaurs long thought to be extinct turned up on the evening news. ~ Tom Robbins
Dinosaurs quotes by Tom Robbins
The problem ... is that we have run out of dinosaurs to form oil with. Scientists working for the Department of Energy have tried to form oil using other animals; they've piled thousands of tons of sand and Middle Eastern countries on top of cows, raccoons, haddock, laboratory rats, etc., but so far all they have managed to do is run up an enormous bulldozer-rental bill and anger a lot of Middle Eastern persons. None of the animals turned into oil, although most of the laboratory rats developed cancer. ~ Dave Barry
Dinosaurs quotes by Dave Barry
I've got a theory about uniforms. I think they design them so that you become, like, a nonperson, so that you're not Daisy Ramirez, a Human Being, but instead a thing that brings people pizza and exchanges their tickets for plastic dinosaurs. It's like the uniform is designed to hide me. ~ John Green
Dinosaurs quotes by John Green
Never since we discovered there were dinosaurs did anyone get sick of them. ~ Colin Trevorrow
Dinosaurs quotes by Colin Trevorrow
Most people looking for dinosaurs are looking for beautiful skeletons. ~ Jack Horner
Dinosaurs quotes by Jack Horner
I dreamed of going to the most remote places on this earth to dig for old bones, older than people. Before humans and their stupid ideas. Before hate. Maybe even before love, too. Dinosaurs just existed. No lectures, no books, no language. No world-conquering Europeans and no defeated everybody else. Just those powerful, unrestrained creatures roaming the planet. ~ Ibi Zoboi
Dinosaurs quotes by Ibi Zoboi
When I was a boy in the midwest I used to go out and look at the stars at night and wonder about them.

I guess every boy does that.

When I wasn't looking at the stars, I was running in the my old or my brand-new tennis shoes, on my way to swing in a tree, swim in a lake, or delve in the town library to read about dinosaurs or time machines.

I guess every boy has done that, too.

This is a book about those stars and those tennis shoes. Mainly about the stars, beacuse that is the way I grew up, getting more and more involved with rockets and space as I moved toward my twelfth, thirteenth, and fourteenth years.

Not that I have forgotten the tennis shoes and their powerful magic, as you will see in the last story here, which I have included not because it concerns the future, but because it gives you some sort of idea of the kind of boy I was when I was looking at the stars and thinking of the years ahead.

Nor have I forgetten the dinosaurs that all boys love; they are here, too, along with a machine that travels back in time to step on a butterfly.

This is a book then by a boy who grew up in a small illinois town and lived to see the space age arrive, as he hoped and dreamt it would.

I dedicate these stories to all boys who wonder about the past, run swiftly in the present, and have high hopes for our future.

The stars are yours, if you have the head, the hands, and the heart for th ~ Ray Bradbury
Dinosaurs quotes by Ray Bradbury
In pre-school, I was drawing dinosaurs - I was huge into dinosaurs. I wanted to be a paleontologist, not a cartoonist or a filmmaker or anything like that - just a paleontologist. So I would draw dinosaurs. ~ Jhonen Vasquez
Dinosaurs quotes by Jhonen Vasquez
If people want to believe that our ancestors were riding around on dinosaurs or that the protracted, increasing, and devastating warming of the Earth is just nature doing its thing - I guess I feel I have more useful battles to fight. ~ Michael Specter
Dinosaurs quotes by Michael Specter
Well, we had our shot. And we werent handling our inheritance very well. I bet if we could somehow go back and interview the dinosaurs before the asteroid struck.. ~ Rick Yancey
Dinosaurs quotes by Rick Yancey
I'm not a great deductive thinker, but I will admit to having competence in a very wide range of things - not being afraid to try to write about baseball, choral music and dinosaurs in the same week and see connections among them. ~ Stephen Jay Gould
Dinosaurs quotes by Stephen Jay Gould
Will everyone stop eating dinosaurs?' she frowned. ~ Neale Osborne
Dinosaurs quotes by Neale Osborne
The voices of actual communities are alive in a way no theory could every be even if, for now, it takes the form of tiny acts of resistance. Who doesn't cheat on taxes, avoid cops, or skip class? These acts themselves may not be revolutionary, but they begin to unravel the control from above. Anarchist approaches must be relevant to everyday experiences and flexible enough to address struggles in different situations and contexts. If we can achieve this, then we may thrive in the world after the dinosaurs. We might even be fortunate enough to be in one of the communities that have a hand in toppling them. ~ Curious George Brigade
Dinosaurs quotes by Curious George Brigade
The dinosaurs disappeared because they could not adapt to their changing environment. We shall disappear if we cannot adapt to an environment that now contains spaceships, computers - and
thermonuclear weapons. ~ Arthur C. Clarke
Dinosaurs quotes by Arthur C. Clarke
I went to my first dinosaur hall with my father and twin brother. We went to the American Museum of Natural History, and I was blown away by the dinosaurs. ~ David H. Koch
Dinosaurs quotes by David H. Koch
Kids go through a stage where they love dinosaurs - boy or girl. ~ Colin Trevorrow
Dinosaurs quotes by Colin Trevorrow
It was a Saturday and Granny and Elsa were going to an exhibition about dinosaurs. That was the morning Mum put the Gryffindor scarf in the wash without asking and made Elsa take another scarf - a vomit-green one. Mum knows Elsa hates green. She really lacks empathy sometimes, that woman. ~ Fredrik Backman
Dinosaurs quotes by Fredrik Backman
Birds are the last of the dinosaurs. Tiny velociraptors with wings. Devouring defenseless wiggly things and, and nuts, and fish, and, and other birds. They get the early worms. And have you ever watched a chicken eat? They may look innocent, but birds are, well, they're vicious. ~ Neil Gaiman
Dinosaurs quotes by Neil Gaiman
There is nothing in the whole of creation as beautiful as dinosaurs singing in harmony. ~ Neil Gaiman
Dinosaurs quotes by Neil Gaiman
If humans one day become extinct from a catastrophic collision, there would be no greater tragedy in the history of life in the universe. Not because we lacked the brain power to protect ourselves but because we lacked the foresight. The dominant species that replaces us in post-apocalyptic Earth just might wonder, as they gaze upon our mounted skeletons in their natural history museums, why large-headed Homo sapiens fared no better than the proverbially pea-brained dinosaurs. ~ Neil DeGrasse Tyson
Dinosaurs quotes by Neil DeGrasse Tyson
All the dinosaurs have gone off into the stars, leaving the world to mammals. ~ Neil Gaiman
