Then there was David, lording it up at Buckingham Palace, thinking he was king of the shit heap. That guy was definitely nuts, like every dictator that had gone before him. Nero, Caligula, Henry the Eighth, Napoleon, Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, Margaret Thatcher, Colonel Gaddafi, that crazy North Korean bastard who was in Team America, Kim Jong whatever. ~ Charlie Higson
Mussolini quotes by Charlie Higson
What a waste that we lost Mussolini. He is a first-rate man who would have led our party to power in Italy. [Addressing to a delegation of Italian socialists in Moscow after Mussolini's March on Rome in 1922] ~ Vladimir Lenin
Mussolini quotes by Vladimir Lenin
Mussolini is quite humiliated because our troops have not moved a step forward. Even today they have not succeeded in advancing and have halted in front of the first French fortification which put up some resistance. ~ Galeazzo Ciano
Mussolini quotes by Galeazzo Ciano
Yet if anyone cares to read over the now crumbling minutes giving an account of the meetings at which the Italian Fasci di Combattimento were founded, he will find not a doctrine but a series of pointers ... It may be objected that this program implies a return to the guilds (corporazioni). No matter! ... I therefore hope this assembly will accept the economic claims advanced by national syndicalism. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
The farewell between Hitler and Mussolini at the station was very affectionate. Both men were moved. ~ Galeazzo Ciano
Mussolini quotes by Galeazzo Ciano
I am not a collector of deserts! ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
I do not intend to defend capitalism or capitalists. They, like everything human, have their defects. I only say their possibilities of usefulness are not ended.
Capitalism has borne the monstrous burden of the war and today still has the strength to shoulder the burdens of peace ...
It is not simply and solely an accumulation of wealth, it is an elaboration, a selection, a co-ordination of values which is the work of centuries ...
Many think, and I myself am one of them, that capitalism is scarcely at the beginning of its story. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
We affirm that the true story of capitalism is now beginning, because capitalism is not a system of oppression only, but is also a selection of values, a coordination of hierarchies, a more amply developed sense of individual responsibility. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
In the contemporary world there are two classes of bad plans-the plans invented and put into practice by men who do not accept our ideal postulates, and the plans invented and put into practice by the men who accept them, but imagine that the ends proposed by the prophets can be achieved by wicked or unsuitable means. Hell is paved with good intentions, and it is probable that plans made by well-meaning people of the second class may have results no less disastrous than plans made by evil-intentioned people of the first class. Which only shows, yet once more, how right the Buddha was in classing unawareness and stupidity among the deadly sins. Let us consider a few examples of bad plans belonging to these two classes. In the first class we must place all Fascist and all specifically militaristic plans. Fascism, in the words of Mussolini, believes that "war alone brings up to its highest tension all human energy and puts the stamp of nobility upon the peoples who have the courage to meet it." Again, "a doctrine which is founded upon the harmful postulate of peace is hostile to Fascism." The Fascist, then, is one who believes that the bombardment of open towns with fire, poison and explosives (in other words, modern war) is intrinsically good. He is one who rejects the teaching of the prophets and believes that the best society is a national society living in a state of chronic hostility towards other national societies and preoccupied with ideas of rapine and slaughter. He is ~ Aldous Huxley
Mussolini quotes by Aldous Huxley
Saddam Hussein is a product of Western departments of state and big companies, just as Hitler, Mussolini, and Franco were born of the 'peace' imposed on their countries by the victors of the Great War. Saddam is such a product in an even more Flagrant and cynical way. Because the Iraqi dictatorship proceeds, as do the others, from the transfer of aporias in the capitalist system to vanquished, less developed, or simply less resistant countries. ~ Jean Francois Lyotard
Mussolini quotes by Jean Francois Lyotard
Mussolini never killed anyone, he just sent dissenters abroad for vacation. ~ Silvio Berlusconi
Mussolini quotes by Silvio Berlusconi
All important architecture of the last century was strongly influenced by political systems. Look at the Soviet system, with its constructivism and Stalinism, Weimer with its Modern style, Mussolini and the Nazis and Albert Speer's colossal structures. Today's architecture is subservient to the market and its terms. The market has supplanted ideology. Architecture has turned into a spectacle. It has to package itself and no longer has significance as anything but a landmark. ~ Rem Koolhaas
Mussolini quotes by Rem Koolhaas
Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
It's the story of an American who wants to become a dictator and goes to Europe with a sidekick to interview various Fascists to find out how the Nazis and Mussolini got into power. ~ Lawrence Ferlinghetti
Mussolini quotes by Lawrence Ferlinghetti
The news of the open military help to Franco from Hitler and Mussolini, and the heroic resistance of the people of Madrid, Barcelona and the big cities fired a widespread wish to help the Republic and its people. ~ Bill Alexander
Mussolini quotes by Bill Alexander
War is to man what maternity is to a woman. From a philosophical and doctrinal viewpoint, I do not believe in perpetual peace. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
What is freedom? There is no such thing as absolute freedom! ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
It's the camel's nose in the tent. Look at Stalin, Mussolini, Hitler, Mao Zedong, Pol Pot, Idi Amin
every one of these monsters, on seizing power, their first act was to confiscate all firearms in private hands ... ~ Charlton Heston
Mussolini quotes by Charlton Heston
We deny your internationalism, because it is a luxury which only the upper classes can afford. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
I never want to see umbrellas around me," he [Mussolini] once said. "The umbrella is a bourgeois relic, it is the arm used by the pope's soldiers. A people who carry umbrellas cannot found an empire. ~ David I. Kertzer
Mussolini quotes by David I. Kertzer
It's good to trust others but, not to do so is much better. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
Hitler and Mussolini even went so far as to persecute Esperanto speakers. ~ Bill Bryson
Mussolini quotes by Bill Bryson
Fascism is not an article for export. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
This is the epitaph I want on my tomb: Here lies one of the most intelligent animals who ever appeared on the face of the earth. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
We look back on history, and what do we see? Empires rising and falling; revolutions and counter-revolutions succeeding one another; wealth accumulating and wealth dispersed; one nation dominant and then another. As Shakespeare's King Lear puts it, "the rise and fall of great ones that ebb and flow with the moon." In one lifetime I've seen my fellow countrymen ruling over a quarter of the world, and the great majority of them convinced – in the words of what is still a favorite song – that God has made them mighty and will make them mightier yet. I've heard a crazed Austrian announce the establishment of a German Reich that was to last for a thousand years; an Italian clown report that the calendar will begin again with his assumption of power; a murderous Georgian brigand in the Kremlin acclaimed by the intellectual elite as wiser than Solomon, more enlightened than Ashoka, more humane than Marcus Aurelius. I've seen America wealthier than all the rest of the world put together; and with the superiority of weaponry that would have enabled Americans, had they so wished, to outdo an Alexander or a Julius Caesar in the range and scale of conquest. All in one little lifetime – gone with the wind: England now part of an island off the coast of Europe, threatened with further dismemberment; Hitler and Mussolini seen as buffoons; Stalin a sinister name in the regime he helped to found and dominated totally for three decades; Americans haunted by fears of running out of the precious ~ Malcolm Muggeridge
Mussolini quotes by Malcolm Muggeridge
For us the national flag is a rag to be planted on a dunghill. There are only two fatherlands in the world: that of the exploited and that of the exploiters. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
War is the normal state of the people. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
Benito Mussolini had barely seized power in Italy before the Vatican made an official treaty with him ... Catholicism became the only recognized religion in Italy ... and in return urged its followers to vote for Mussolini's party. Pope Pius XI described [Mussolini] as 'a man sent by providence.' ... Across southern Europe, the church was a reliable ally in the instatement of fascist regimes ... ~ Christopher Hitchens
Mussolini quotes by Christopher Hitchens
Silence is the only answer you should give to the fools. Where ignorance speaks, intelligence should not give advices. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
A nation of spaghetti eaters cannot restore Roman civilization! ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
What is liberty? There is no such thing as absolute liberty! ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
What the proletariat needs is a bath of blood. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
Fortunately the Italian people is not habituated to eating several times a day. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
A gigantic crowd of one million persons was gathered on the Maifeld to hear the two fascist dictators speak their pieces. Mussolini, orating in German, was carried away by the deafening applause - and by Hitler's flattering words. ~ William L. Shirer
Mussolini quotes by William L. Shirer
It could be that all awful dictators are frustrated artists - Mao with his poetry and Mussolini with his monuments. Stalin was once a journalistic hack, and I can personally testify to how frustrated they are. Pol Pot left a very edgy photo collection behind. And Osama seems quite interested in video. ~ P. J. O'Rourke
Mussolini quotes by P. J. O'Rourke
American Progressivism - the moralistic social crusade from which modern liberals proudly claim descent - is in some respects the major source of the fascist ideas applied in Europe by Mussolini and Hitler. ~ Jonah Goldberg
Mussolini quotes by Jonah Goldberg
At every hour of every day, I can tell you on which page of which book each school child in Italy is studying. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
The Shadow had no imagination. He neither looked at naked women nor thought of ridding the world of dictators like Hitler or Mussolini. ~ E.L. Doctorow
Mussolini quotes by E.L. Doctorow
On the morrow of each conflict I gave the categorical order to confiscate the largest possible number of weapons of every sort and kind. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
If relativism signifies contempt for fixed categories and those who claim to be the bearers of objective immortal truth, then there is nothing more relativistic than Fascist attitudes and activity. From the fact that all ideologies are of equal value, we Fascists conclude that we have the right to create our own ideology and to enforce it with all the energy of which we are capable. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
There is no rationality in the Nazi hatred: it is hate that is not in us, it is outside of man.. We cannot understand it, but we must understand from where it springs, and we must be on our guard. If understanding is impossible, knowing is imperative, because what happened could happen again. Consciences can be seduced and obscured again - even our consciences. For this reason, it is everyone duty to reflect on what happened. Everybody must know, or remember, that when Hitler and Mussolini spoke in public, they were believed, applauded, admired, adored like gods. They were "charismatic leaders" ; they possessed a secret power of seduction that did not proceed from the soundness of things they said but from the suggestive way in which they said them, from their eloquence, from their histrionic art, perhaps instinctive, perhaps patiently learned and practised. The ideas they proclaimed were not always the same and were, in general, aberrant or silly or cruel. And yet they were acclaimed with hosannas and followed to the death by millions of the faithful. ~ Primo Levi
Mussolini quotes by Primo Levi
I never thought I'd get to see Rome," Hazel said. "When I was alive, I mean for the first time, Mussolini was in charge. We were at war."
"Mussolini?" Leo frowned. "Wasn't he like BFF's with Hitler?"
Hazel stared at him like he was an alien. "BFF's?"
"Never mind."
"I'd love to see the Trevi Fountain," she said.
"There's a fountain on every block," Leo grumbled.
"Or the Spanish Steps," Hazel said.
"Why would you come to Italy to see Spanosh steps?" Leo asked. "That's like going to China for Mexican food, isn't it?"
"You're hopeless," Hazel complained.
"So I've been told. ~ Rick Riordan
Mussolini quotes by Rick Riordan
I should be pleased, I suppose, that Hitler has carried out a revolution on our lines. But they are Germans. So they will end by ruining our idea. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
You aime lots of stupid crap. While Hassan worked to make God hates baguettes
Colin's mind raced like this:
(1) baguettes (2) Katherine XIX (3) the ruby necklace he'd bought her five months and seventeen days before (4) most rubies come from India, which (5) used to be under control of the United Kingdom, of which (6) Winston Churchill was the prime minister, and (7) isn't it interesting how a lot of good politicians, like Churchill and also Gandhi, were bald while (8) a lot of evil dictators, like Hitler and Stalin and Saddam Hussein, were mustachoied? But (9) Mussolini only wore a mustache sometimes, and (10) lost of good scientists had mustaches, like the Italian Ruggero Oddi, who (11) discovered (and named for himself) the intestinal tract's spinchter of Oddi, which is just one of several lesser-known sphicnters like (12) the pupillary spinchter. ~ John Green
Mussolini quotes by John Green
Hitler and Mussolini were only the primary spokesmen for the attitude of domination and craving for power that are in the heart of almost everyone. Until the source is cleared, there will always be confusion and hate, wars and class antagonisms. ~ Anonymous
Mussolini quotes by Anonymous
Liberty is a duty, not a right. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
Thirty centuries of history allow us to look with supreme pity on certain doctrines which are preached beyond the Alps by the descendants of those who were illiterate when Rome had Caesar, Virgil, and Augustus. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
Democracy is talking itself to death. The people do not know what they want; they do not know what is the best for them. There is too much foolishness, too much lost motion. I have stopped the talk and the nonsense. I am a man of action. Democracy is beautiful in theory; in practice it is a fallacy. You in America will see that some day. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
If you read about Mussolini or Stalin or some of these other great monsters of history, they were at it all the time, that they were getting up in the morning very early. They were physically very active. They didn't eat lunch. ~ A. N. Wilson
Mussolini quotes by A. N. Wilson
The Liberal State is a mask behind which there is no face; it is a scaffolding behind which there is no building. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
Any time you make an analogy to horrific people in history, Mussolini or Hitler, people say, 'Oh, you're exaggerating, you're talking about, it's hyperbole.' Maybe it is ... But I would say is that if you are not concerned that democracy could produce bad people, I don't think you're really thinking this through too much. ~ Rand Paul
Mussolini quotes by Rand Paul
When you look at my life, you can go back to the late 1930s, what I saw was, first of all, Hitler, he was going to live forever. Mussolini was in for 10,000 years. You had the Soviet Union, which was, by definition, going to last forever. There was the British empire
nobody imagined it could come to an end. So why should one believe in any kind of permanence? ~ Doris Lessing
Mussolini quotes by Doris Lessing
If you would know, therefore, who are the fascists in America, you must ask yourselves not who are the men and women most vocal in their denunciations of Hitler and Mussolini. The most ardent enemies of those two leaders were some of their rival fascist dictators in Europe. The test of fascism is not one's rage against the Italian and German war lords. The test is - how many of the essential principles of fascism do you accept and to what extent are you prepared to apply those fascist ideas to American social and economic life? When you can put your finger on the men or the groups that urge for America the debt-supported state, thee autarchial corporative state, the state bent on the socialization of investment and the bureaucratic government of industry and society, the establishment of the institution of militarism as the great glamorous public-works project of the nation and the institution of imperialism under which it proposes to regulate and rule the world and, along with this, proposes to alter the forms of our government to approach as closely as possible the unrestrained, absolute government - then you will know you have located the authentic fascist. ~ John T. Flynn
Mussolini quotes by John T. Flynn
Let us have a dagger between our teeth,a bomb in our hand, and an infinite scorn in our hearts. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
There is frequently another way to look at things and we are encouraged to do exactly that if we want to grow as a nation, however when we mess with the principles of what made our country great we are in danger of upsetting the apple cart. Many civilized countries that did, lost their freedom in a rapid downhill spiral. Nero fiddled as Rome burned. Cubans lost out by electing Fidel Castro and the Germans and Italians, wanting a better life, voted for Mussolini and Hitler. ~ Captain Hank Bracker, "Seawater One"
Mussolini quotes by Captain Hank Bracker,
Government itself, which is the most unnatural and necessary of social mechanisms, has usually required the support of piety and the priest, as clever heretics like Napoleon and Mussolini soon discovered; and hence a tendency to theocracy is incidental to all constitutions. ~ Will Durant
Mussolini quotes by Will Durant
We were the first Fascists, when we had 100,000 disciplined men, and were training children, Mussolini was still an unknown. Mussolini copied our Fascism. ~ Marcus Garvey
Mussolini quotes by Marcus Garvey
Wars stopped slavery in America and liberated Europe and put an end to Japanese imperialism and killed Hitler and Mussolini and Pol Pot and Che Guevara and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. That's why we have them. ~ David NMI Stone
Mussolini quotes by David NMI Stone
Mussolini?" Leo frowned. "Wasn't he like BFFs with Hitler? ~ Rick Riordan
Mussolini quotes by Rick Riordan
It is the State which educates its citizens in civic virtue, gives them a consciousness of their mission and welds them into unity. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
Youth is a malady of which one becomes cured a little every day. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
We [in USA] have people honestly believing that, if a president calls a war, you have to shut up and sing. That is not the nation my mother raised me to pledge my allegiance to. We should speak out. We sent thousands of Americans to foreign battlefields to protect our way of life, which includes free speech. If you're not going to use it, it's already lost. We'll find a Mussolini who will tell us what's good for us. ~ Phil Donahue
Mussolini quotes by Phil Donahue
Logic, order, truth, reason, we consign them all to the oblivion of death," said one Surrealist manifesto. We must "cultivate the hatred of intelligence," said the leader of the Futurists, Filippo Marinetti, an artist hailed by Mussolini as the John the Baptist of Fascism.17 ~ Leonard Peikoff
Mussolini quotes by Leonard Peikoff
In my generation, this was not the first occasion when the strong had attacked the weak.Communism was acting in Korea just as Hitler, Mussolini, and the Japanese had acted ten, fifteen, and twenty years earlier. I felt certain that if South Korea was allowed to fall, Communist leaders would be emboldened to override nations closer to our own shores. ~ Harry S. Truman
Mussolini quotes by Harry S. Truman
It is better to live one day as a lion than 100 years as a sheep. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
For my part I prefer fifty thousand rifles to fifty thousand votes ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
We do not argue with those who disagree with us, we destroy them. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
The history of saints is mainly the history of insane people. -Benito Mussolini (Chuck Palahniuk - Pygmy) ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
Fascism entirely agrees with Mr. Maynard Keynes, despite the latter's prominent position as a Liberal. In fact, Mr. Keynes' excellent little book, The End of Laissez-Faire (l926) might, so far as it goes, serve as a useful introduction to fascist economics. There is scarcely anything to object to in it and there is much to applaud. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
Socialism is a fraud, a comedy, a phantom, a blackmail. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
The Italian proletariat needs a blood bath for it force to be renewed. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
There is a violence that liberates, and a violence that enslaves; there is a violence that is moral and a violence that is immoral. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
Liberty is no longer the virgin, chaste and severe, to be fought for ... we have buried the putrid corpse of liberty ... the Italian people are a race of sheep. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
Fortunately the Italian people has not yet accustomed itself to eat many times a day, and possessing a modest level of living, it feels deficiency and suffering less. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
I fearthat both dictators [Hitler and Mussolini] think their present methods are succeeding because of the gains they have made in Albania, Hungary and Yugoslavia. ~ Franklin D. Roosevelt
Mussolini quotes by Franklin D. Roosevelt
If only we can give them faith that mountains can be moved, they will accept the illusion that mountains are moveable, and thus an illusion may become reality. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
We become strong, I feel, when we have no friends upon whom to lean, or to look to for moral guidance. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
Mussolini and his lover were brought back to Milan and hung upside-down like fowls. ~ Catherine McNamara
Mussolini quotes by Catherine McNamara
Whatever may be their use in civilised societies, mirrors are essential to all violent and heroic action. That is why Napoleon and Mussolini both insist so emphatically upon the inferiority of women, for if they were not inferior, they would cease to enlarge. That serves to explain in part the necessity that women so often are to men. And it serves to explain how restless they are under her criticism; how impossible it is for her to say to them this book is bad, this picture is feeble, or whatever it may be, without giving far more pain and rousing far more longer than a man would do who gave the same criticism. ~ Virginia Woolf
Mussolini quotes by Virginia Woolf
We have buried the putrid corpse of liberty ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
Fascism accepts the individual only insofar as his interests coincide with the state's. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
She said she remembered when Republicans compared President Roosevelt to Hitler and to Stalin and to Mussolini. She said she used to see people wearing I HATE ELEANOR buttons walk past her on the sidewalk and she wanted to spit, she wanted to kill them. ~ Amy Bloom
Mussolini quotes by Amy Bloom
There is now doubt in our minds that Nasser, whether he likes it or not, is now effectively in Russian hands, just as Mussolini was in Hitler's. It would be as ineffective to show weakness to Nasser now in order to placate him as it was to show weakness to Mussolini. ~ Anthony Eden
Mussolini quotes by Anthony Eden
The state reserves the right to be the sole interpreter of the needs of society. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
Three cheers for war, noble and beautiful above all. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
His poor-man's Ionesconian exchanges with Jude suddenly dissolved when he needed Jude to do his calculus homework, at which point Ionesco abruptly transformed into Mussolini, ~ Hanya Yanagihara

Mussolini quotes by Guido Calabresi
The truth is that men are tired of liberty. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
By July we had strawberries, red currants, raspberries, veal, dill, baby turnips, marrow. Mussolini resigned, and Italy capitulated. Roses could be had. ~ Elise Blackwell
Mussolini quotes by Elise Blackwell
The mass, whether it be a crowd or an army, is vile. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
Italian journalism is free because it serves one cause and one purpose ... mine! ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
I am desperately Italian. I believe in the function of Latinity. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
Rhetoric does not get you anywhere, because Hitler and Mussolini are just as good at rhetoric. But if you can bring these people down with comedy, they stand no chance. ~ Mel Brooks
Mussolini quotes by Mel Brooks
If I advance; follow me. If I retreat; kill me. If I die; avenge me! It is better to live one day as a lion than one-hundred years as a sheep! ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
The fate of nations is intimately bound up with their powers of reproduction. All nations and all empires first felt decadence gnawing at them when their birth rate fell off. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
History was not a matter of missing minutes on the tape. I did not stand helpless before it. I hewed to the texture of collected knowledge, took faith from the solid and availing stuff of our experience. Even if we believe that history is a workwheel powered by human blood
read the speeches of Mussolini
at least we've known the thing together. A single narrative sweep, not ten thousand wisps of disinformation. (82) ~ Don DeLillo
Mussolini quotes by Don DeLillo
It is humiliating to remain with our hands folded while others write history. It matters little who wins. To make a people great it is necessary to send them to battle even if you have to kick them in the pants. That is what I shall do. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
The Fascist accepts life and loves it, knowing nothing of and despising suicide; he rather conceives of life as duty and struggle and conquest, life which should be high and full, lived for oneself, but not above all for others those who are at hand and those who are far distant, contemporaries, and those who will come after. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
People are tired of liberty. They have had a surfeit of it. Liberty is no longer a chaste and austere virgin ... Today's youth are moved by other slogans ... Order, Hierarchy, Discipline. ~ Benito Mussolini
Mussolini quotes by Benito Mussolini
The Fascist conception of the State is all-embracing; outside of it no human or spiritual values can exist, much less have value. Thus understood, Fascism is totalitarian, and the Fascist State
