The sight of them all made Caris marvel: each individual had a different life, every one of them rich and complex, with dramas in the past and challenges in the future, happy memories and secret sorrows, and a crowd of friends and enemies and loved ones. ~ Ken Follett
Happy Memories quotes by Ken Follett
And that's my problem. I love to be alone and hate being around people, but I love to be with people and hate being alone. I don't know what I like and I don't know what I want. Time is a difficult thing. It moves too slowly and speeds up when you finally wish it would slow down or stop. You get to the aftermath and all you have are your memories. Precious memories. The kind that make you smile and laugh like you're living it again, while a nostalgic tear falls. And then another. And then another, until you want to just forget it all to stop the painfully happy memories because at the end of the day, those - not the sad ones - are the memories that hurt us most. ~ Caitlyn Paige
Happy Memories quotes by Caitlyn Paige
May today be filled
With bright hopes for the future
And happy memories of the past ~ John Walter Bratton
Happy Memories quotes by John Walter Bratton
We call the illness "Annette" and the happy memories "Mom. ~ Hannah Hart
Happy Memories quotes by Hannah Hart
Tis true what Hemingway says--if we're lucky enough to live our dreams in youth, as Ernest Hemingway did in 1920's Paris and I did with the Beat poets, then youth's dreams become a moveable feast you take wherever you go--youthful love remains the repast plentiful; exquisite, substantive and good. You can live on happy memories. Eat of them forever. ~ Alison Winfield Burns
Happy Memories quotes by Alison Winfield Burns
He loves me so he hurts me
To try and make me good.
It doesn't work. I'm just too bad
And don't do what I should.

My memory has so many different sections and, like all survivors, there are so many compartments with so many triggers. I'll remember a smell which reminds me of a man which reminds me of a place which reminds me of another man who I think was with a woman who had a certain smell - and I'm back to square one. This is the case for most survivors, I believe. When we try to put together our pasts, the triggers are many and varied, the memories are disjointed - and why wouldn't they be? We were children. Even someone with an idyllic childhood who is only trying to remember the lovely things which happened to them will scratch their head and wonder who gave them that doll and was it for Christmas or their third birthday? Did they have a party when they were four or five? When did they go on a plane for the first time? You see, even happy memories are hard to piece together - so imagine how hard it is to collate all of the trauma, to pull together all of the things I've been trying to push away for so many years. ~ Laurie Matthew
Happy Memories quotes by Laurie Matthew
It was a mess, but it was a happy, cozy mess. A mess of lovely, largely happy memories. I felt lucky to have them, despite the disorder of it all... ~ Eve O. Schaub
Happy Memories quotes by Eve O. Schaub
A life-long blessing for children is to fill them with warm memories of times together. Happy memories become treasures in the heart to pull out on the tough days of adulthood. ~ Charlotte Kasl
Happy Memories quotes by Charlotte Kasl
So what were you doing there?"

Here's the frustrating thing about Nate, one of those things that happy memories conveniently glossed over. A lot of times, you had to ask him a question more than once to get a straight answer. He loved to answer questions you'd never asked, or to answer a question with another question.

"Do I really have to answer that, Kyrie?"

See?

"Don't you trust me?"

See?! ~ Genevieve Pearson
Happy Memories quotes by Genevieve Pearson
The people in your happy memories have to be the same people who want to have you in their own happy memories. ~ Lydia Davis
Happy Memories quotes by Lydia Davis
The greatest legacy we can leave our children is happy memories. ~ Og Mandino

Happy Memories quotes by Bruce Barton
Nostalgia has nothing to do with aesthetics, it's not even connected to happy memories. We feel nostalgia for a place simply because we've lived there; whether we lived well or badly scarcely matters. ~ Michel Houellebecq
Happy Memories quotes by Michel Houellebecq
The best thing you can give a child you love is happy memories and a foundation they can be proud of. ~ Robyn Carr
Happy Memories quotes by Robyn Carr
When I look at my own children, Mrs Hargreaves, I think ... I think I know what childhood's for. It's to give us a bank of happy memories against future suffering. So when sadness comes, at least you can remember what it was to be happy. ~ John Logan
Happy Memories quotes by John Logan
What I have got from my childhood aren't toys, but memories. And happy memories are better than any toy. ~ River Phoenix

He would always be around you, not in these words or paintings, but in your heart. He will always be in happy memories. You can't cage his worth in few pages and colors. ~ Vidushi Gupta
Happy Memories quotes by Vidushi Gupta
I wanted to freeze the moment. Freeze it and jump inside of it and stay there until it melted into the warm, swishy liquid of happy memories. ~ Tiffanie DeBartolo
Happy Memories quotes by Tiffanie DeBartolo
I have such happy memories of performing in a choir and I don't think I'd have got where I am today without all that experience. So my advice to young singers is to either join your school or church's choir or find one in your local area. Choral music at any level teaches you so much about musicianship and blending your voice. ~ Katherine Jenkins
Happy Memories quotes by Katherine Jenkins
You have more happy memories than scary ones, don't you? Why give the scary ones so much space in your head? ~ Sara Holland
Happy Memories quotes by Sara Holland
Among the various supplications with which we successfully appeal to the Virgin Mother of God, the Holy Rosary without doubt occupies a special and distinct place. This prayer, which some call the Psalter of the Virgin or Breviary of the Gospel and of Christian life, was described and recommended by Our Predecessor of happy memory, Leo XIII ~ Pope Pius XI
Happy Memories quotes by Pope Pius XI
He sometimes asked himself a question about life. Which are truer, the happy memories, or the unhappy ones? He decided, eventually, that the question was unanswerable. ~ Julian Barnes
Happy Memories quotes by Julian Barnes
You want it or not but with time, memories are going to fade. Wounds will be healed and life will give you plenty opportunities to be happy. ~ Nitya Prakash
Happy Memories quotes by Nitya Prakash
She was a woman who made mistakes, who sometimes cried on a Monday morning or at night alone in bed. She was a woman who often became bored with her life and found it hard to get up for work in the morning. She was a woman who more often than not had a bad hair day, who looked in the mirror and wondered why she couldn't just drag herself to the gym more often; she was a woman who sometimes questioned what reason had she to live on this planet. She was a woman who sometimes just got things wrong.
On the other hand, she was a woman with a million happy memories, who knew what it was like to experience true love and who was ready to experience more life, more love and make new memories. ~ Cecelia Ahern
Happy Memories quotes by Cecelia Ahern
One of my earliest memories is being backstage at 'Bran Nue Dae' in Darwin when I was about eight. It's such a fun, happy show and a real celebration of being Aboriginal ... it felt really great and achievable as a career. It all felt normal. ~ Shari Sebbens
Happy Memories quotes by Shari Sebbens
It's important to honor your ancestors. Bringing in a piece of furniture or an object you've inherited from a loved one not only honors the person who has passed but also brings the warmth of happy memories into your home. ~ Jeffrey A. Wands
Happy Memories quotes by Jeffrey A. Wands
You never know if happy memories are going to become sad ones. They glow and shine in the vast realms of our subconscious, making that part of our brain feel like it's filled with glitter. We pick them up and cradle them like expensive cats, or wriggle into them like they are jumpers we've left to warm on a radiator. Until the day when, for one reason or another, life can suddenly make this happy memory into a sad memory instead. Good memories exist in the naivety of not knowing any better. ~ Holly Bourne
Happy Memories quotes by Holly Bourne
I pretended like all the oranges rolling everywhere were her happy memories and they were looking for a new person to stick to so they didn't get wasted. ~ Stephen Kelman
Happy Memories quotes by Stephen Kelman
Well, yes. I believe that children's souls are the inheritors of historical memory from previous generations. It's just that as they grow older and experience the everyday world that memory sinks lower and lower. I feel I need to make a film that reaches down to that level. If I could do that I would die happy. ~ Hayao Miyazaki
Happy Memories quotes by Hayao Miyazaki
I feel like I have a hangover, without all the happy memories and mystery bruises. ~ Ellen DeGeneres
Happy Memories quotes by Ellen DeGeneres
How long have you been here? (Jericho)
Don't know. Again, tried to count once, got depressed so I stopped. I find it easier to just go with the flow. Ease with the peas. (Asmodeus)
Ease with the peas? (Jericho)
Yeah, that's not a happy memory, either. Let's forget I mentioned it. (Asmodeus) ~ Sherrilyn Kenyon
Happy Memories quotes by Sherrilyn Kenyon
Bringing happy memories into an awful place didn't make the memories any dimmer. The memories made the surroundings brighter. ~ Kat Zhang
Happy Memories quotes by Kat Zhang
For an instant Harry imagined his own Mum and Dad in Azkaban with the Dementors sucking out their life, draining away the happy memories of their love for him. Just for an instant, before his imagination blew a fuse and called an emergency shutdown and told him never to imagine that again. ~ Eliezer Yudkowsky
Happy Memories quotes by Eliezer Yudkowsky
Always have old memories, and young hopes. ~ Arsene Houssaye
Happy Memories quotes by Arsene Houssaye
Death was a thief that always wore a mask. Accident, disease, stillbirths, old age, natural causes, war, murder. It existed in the shivering silence between tolls of a bell. It stole everything away while it left its mark, a dark knowledge that lingered at the back of smiling eyes, a hesitation between thought and action in times of danger, a heaviness that tunneled wormholes into happy memories. ~ Thea Harrison
Happy Memories quotes by Thea Harrison
I try to keep the happy memories. If that's what you call selective memories, I'm good with that. ~ Nicole Williams
Happy Memories quotes by Nicole Williams
I have very happy memories of fairy tales. My mother used to take me to the library in Toronto to check out the fairy tales. And she was an actress, so she used to act out for me the different characters in all these fairy tales. ~ Mike Myers
Happy Memories quotes by Mike Myers
In the life of a singer, it's not all triumphs and happy memories; there are days you have to go out there when it's the last thing you feel like doing. ~ Mireille Mathieu
Happy Memories quotes by Mireille Mathieu
One day I'll get a tattoo for you."
Warmth explodes in my chest, in awe that he would mark himself for me. "You don't have to."
"I will." His fingers trace my cheek and chills of pleasure run down my spine. "It's what I do. Each tattoo
represents the only happy memories I've had. And you, Rachel, you're the happiest. ~ Katie McGarry
Happy Memories quotes by Katie McGarry
Beyond the pain, life continues to be sweet. The basics are still there. Beauty, food and friendship, reservoirs of love and understanding. Later, possibly not yet, you are going to need others who will encourage you to make new beginnings. Welcome them. They will help you move on, to cherish happy memories and confront the painful ones with more than bitterness and anger. ~ Rosamunde Pilcher
Happy Memories quotes by Rosamunde Pilcher
The deep, pure blue stirs on one's lips a smile, innocent as itself; like the clouds over the sky, and, as it were, with them, happy memories pass in slow procession over the soul ~ Ivan Turgenev
Happy Memories quotes by Ivan Turgenev
Tell me of a happy memory, Zarek. One thing in your life that was good. (Astrid)
You. (Zarek) ~ Sherrilyn Kenyon
Happy Memories quotes by Sherrilyn Kenyon
How many of us take the time to relive half a lifetime's worth of happy memories, cringeworthy failures, and unforgettable adventures together? How many of us get a chance to sit down and talk about the rough times we overcame in the past or to laugh about the stupid mistakes we made when we were young? ~ Joanna Gaines
Happy Memories quotes by Joanna Gaines
Memories are the key not to the past, but to the future. ~ Corrie Ten Boom
Happy Memories quotes by Corrie Ten Boom
There's a brief moment when you first wake up, where you have no memories. A blissful blank slate, a happy emptiness. ~ Candace Bushnell
Happy Memories quotes by Candace Bushnell
I was brought up on choirs and brass bands. They formed the music of my childhood. When I heard the Treorchy Male Choir at the Royal Variety Performance it brought back such happy memories. You have your own eminent place in the history of British music. You stand for excellence in a great tradition and your work for charity is both an example and an inspiration. ~ Michael Parkinson
Happy Memories quotes by Michael Parkinson
If you were feeling sad right now and you recall a sad - or, a very happy memory from the past, it will be tinged with more sadness based on your current feeling. So we felt like that was actually on solid scientific ground . ~ Pete Docter
Happy Memories quotes by Pete Docter

Happy Memories quotes by Naomi Watts
It takes a lot of sorrows inside one's heart to make them cry, break and to lose hope.
But it simply takes reminiscing a happy memory to make one smile instantly.
So make as many happy memories as you can! ~ Somya Kedia
Happy Memories quotes by Somya Kedia
I have great memories of being a Cub, and I'm happy building new ones with the Phillies. ~ Ryne Sandberg
Happy Memories quotes by Ryne Sandberg
TIME WAS MY worst enemy. Nothing good ever came from time. It passed too quickly - good moments and happy memories gone in a blink. Or it passed too slowly - bad experiences and unhappy circumstances dragging for an eternity. ~ Pepper Winters
Happy Memories quotes by Pepper Winters
Dementors are among the foulest creatures that walk this earth. They infest the darkest, filthiest places, they glory in decay and despair, they drain peace, hope, and happiness out of the air around them. Even Muggles feel their presence, though they can't see them. Get too near a Dementor and every good feeling, every happy memory will be sucked out of you. If it can, the Dementor will feed on you long enough to reduce you to something like itself - soul-less and evil. You'll be left with nothing but the worst experiences of your life. ~ J.K. Rowling
Happy Memories quotes by J.K. Rowling
What magic was this, brewed from equal parts of age-old memories and total oblivion. One could have believed that the last war these people had fought had left only happy memories, had carried in its wake nothing but joy and prosperity. Women and girls were smiling as if their sons and lovers were invulnerable. ~ Anna Seghers
Happy Memories quotes by Anna Seghers
Lesson learnt: I am maintaining happiness in the moment, and this gives me the results of always having happy memories.

Affirmation: I am creating things that bring me joy in my life every day. ~ Katina Marshell Cotton-Sliwa
Happy Memories quotes by Katina Marshell Cotton-Sliwa
A happy memory is perhaps on this earth truer than happiness itself. ~ Alfred De Musset
Happy Memories quotes by Alfred De Musset
On the other hand, she was a women with a million happy memories, who knew what it was like to experience true love and who was ready to experience more life, more love and make new memories. Whether it happened in ten months or ten years, Holly would obey Gerry's final message. Whatever lay ahead, she knew she would open her heart and follow where it led.
In the meantime, she would just live. ~ Cecelia Ahern
Happy Memories quotes by Cecelia Ahern
Happy indeed is the naturalist: to him the seasons come round like old friends; to him the birds sing: as he walks along, the flowers stretch out from the hedges, or look up from the ground, and as each year fades away, he looks back on a fresh store of happy memories. ~ John Lubbock
Happy Memories quotes by John Lubbock
There are so many happy memories that will be made. You just have to live long enough to get to them. ~ Joel Burns
Happy Memories quotes by Joel Burns
Trying to live in the past didn't work for me, and it's only now that I fully realize I'm incredibly lucky it didn't. Because it would have been all too sad to miss out on right now. That would have turned the past into a fraud. It would have meant all my happy memories were a lie. It would have meant all that time and all that love was a waste, leading up to a wasted future. It would have been the ultimate betrayal of everything I thought my whole life was about and everyone I cared about. All the people who loved me, in all the times and places of my life - all the people who made a lover out of me - they would have all been wrong about me. And it could have happened easily, just like that. It's scary to think of how I could have gotten stuck pining for the past. I was lucky to get a second chance. I thought I was too late, but it turns out I was just in time. ~ Rob Sheffield
Happy Memories quotes by Rob Sheffield
Once upon a time the world was sweeter than we knew. Everything was ours; how happy we were then, but then once upon a time never comes again. ~ Johnny Mercer
Happy Memories quotes by Johnny Mercer
It's a long hard road ahead for you, little warrior. Enjoy a happy day while you can. - Boldred ~ Brian Jacques
Happy Memories quotes by Brian Jacques
Covetousness, like a candle ill made, smothers the splendor of a happy fortune in its own grease. ~ Frances Osborne
Happy Memories quotes by Frances Osborne
There are many blanks left in the weeks of courtship, which a loving faith fills with happy assurance. ~ George Eliot
Happy Memories quotes by George Eliot
We know
The wheel of time moves on
New bonds, new ties ignite
Moments fleet, memories drift, shadows glide
There is always a hope
At the horizon we seek. ~ Balroop Singh
Happy Memories quotes by Balroop Singh
How to earn a viable standard of living while giving vent to their desire to perform creative activities is the quintessential challenge for modern humans. Some people settle for jobs filled with drudgery and in their free time immerse themselves in hobbies that provide them with personal happiness. Other people prefer to find work that makes them happy, even if this occupation requires them to live a more modest standard of living. The greater their impulse is for curiosity and creativity, the less likely that a person will exchange personal happiness for economic security. ~ Kilroy J. Oldster
Happy Memories quotes by Kilroy J. Oldster
It is impossible to forget everything of the past.
In any situation old memories can knock the door. ~ Joyati Chakraborty(Bhowal)
Happy Memories quotes by Joyati Chakraborty(Bhowal)
All of the tears i made her made her shed, these were his favorite. If happy tears taste the same as the sad ones, he said.
I think they're sweeter. ~ C.J. Roberts
Happy Memories quotes by C.J. Roberts
[I]t is now common to describe racial and ethnic diversity as one of America's greatest strengths. It is therefore easy to forget that this is a change in thinking that dates back only to perhaps the 1970s. For most of their history Americans preferred sameness to diversity. In 1787, in the second of The Federalist Papers, John Jay gave thanks that "Providence has been pleased to give this one connected country to one united people, a people descended from the same ancestors, speaking the same language, professing the same religion, attached to the same principles of government, very similar in their manners and customs . . . ."
Thomas Jefferson was suspicious of the diversity that even white immigrants would bring: 'In proportion to their numbers, they will share with us the legislation. They will infuse into it their spirit, warp and bias its directions, and render it a heterogeneous, incoherent, distracted mass. . . . Suppose 20 millions of republican Americans thrown all of a sudden into France, what would be the condition of that kingdom? It would be more turbulent, less happy, less strong. We believe that the addition of half a million foreigners to our present numbers would produce a similar effect here.'
Alexander Hamilton shared his suspicions: 'The opinion is . . . correct, that foreigners will generally be apt to bring with them attachments to the persons they have left behind; to the country of their nativity, and to its particular customs and manners . ~ Jared Taylor
Happy Memories quotes by Jared Taylor
I was married to Margaret Joan Howe in 1940. Although not a scientist herself she has contributed more to my work than anyone else by providing a peaceful and happy home. ~ Frederick Sanger
Happy Memories quotes by Frederick Sanger
Memories are like everything else. They're a trap. ~ Joey Comeau
Happy Memories quotes by Joey Comeau
I think the most enduring lesson I was taught through my experiences of being a Girl Scout was that I was a member of a larger community. I out-grew my uniforms and badges years ago, but the memories of visiting nursing homes or organizing Earth Day tree plantings or my summers camping with girls from all different backgrounds will stay with me always. ~ Natalie Merchant
Happy Memories quotes by Natalie Merchant
Memories consume
Like opening the wound
I'm picking me apart again
You all assume
I'm safe here in my room
Unless I try to start again. ~ Linkin Park
Happy Memories quotes by Linkin Park
The best gifts in life are the memories of love that we have given away. ~ Debasish Mridha
Happy Memories quotes by Debasish Mridha
Sri Chinmoy brings Heaven to me. He inspires everyone to be happy. He deserves the biggest gold medal. ~ Emil Zatopek
Happy Memories quotes by Emil Zatopek
I am very happy in second-hand bookshops; would a gardener not be happy in a garden? ~ Hilary Mantel
Happy Memories quotes by Hilary Mantel
If I want to calm down, I'll buy some fabric, get a pattern, shut myself in a room and stay there for days, really happy. And at the end of it, you get a bedspread or some curtains or something to wear - it's lovely. ~ Twiggy
Happy Memories quotes by Twiggy
The living WORD, medicine for the soul. ~ Lailah Gifty Akita
Happy Memories quotes by Lailah Gifty Akita
I know of nothing in all drama more incomparable from the point of view of art, nothing more suggestive in its subtlety of observation, than Shakespeare's drawing of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. They are Hamlet's college friends. They have been his companions. They bring with them memories of pleasant days together. At the moment when they come across him in the play he is staggering under the weight of a burden intolerable to one of his temperament. The dead have come armed out of the grave to impose on him a mission at once too great and too mean for him. He is a dreamer, and he is called upon to act. He has the nature of the poet, and he is asked to grapple with the common complexity of cause and effect, with life in its practical realisation, of which he knows nothing, not with life in its ideal essence, of which he knows so much. He has no conception of what to do, and his folly is to feign folly. Brutus used madness as a cloak to conceal the sword of his purpose, the dagger of his will, but the Hamlet madness is a mere mask for the hiding of weakness. In the making of fancies and jests he sees a chance of delay. He keeps playing with action as an artist plays with a theory. He makes himself the spy of his proper actions, and listening to his own words knows them to be but 'words, words, words.' Instead of trying to be the hero of his own history, he seeks to be the spectator of his own tragedy. He disbelieves in everything, including himself, and yet his doubt helps hi ~ Oscar Wilde
Happy Memories quotes by Oscar Wilde
I don't click pictures. People carry a camera with them while travelling, take pictures, keep them as memories, but I don't. I don't even have a camera. ~ Katrina Kaif
Happy Memories quotes by Katrina Kaif
Can you tell me what happened?"
Her lips thinned as she shook her head. "'Tis not a happy tale."
"You have me reading a book about a girl who tries to kill an entire town. Anything else at this point would be a pick me up. ~ Jenny B. Jones
Happy Memories quotes by Jenny B. Jones
And once again we wish you All joyous things and more A day that's filled with happiness And memories to store. ~ Janet Horne
Happy Memories quotes by Janet Horne
Do you get it now,Becks?" Jack wrapped a finger around a long strand of my hair, and we were quiet as it slipped through his grip.
"You haven't moved on?"
He chuckled. "I have a lifetime of memories made up of chestnut wars and poker games and midnight excursions and Christmas Dances...It's all you. It's only ever been you.I love you." The last part seemed to escape his lips unintentionally, and afterward he closed his eyes and put his head in his hands,as if he had a sudden headache. "I've gotta not say that out loud."
The sight of how messed up he was made me want to wrap my arms around him and fold him into me and cushion him from everything that lay ahead.
Instead,I reached for his hand. Brought it to my lips. Kissed it.
He raised his head and winced. "You shouldn't do that," he said, even though he didn't pull his hand away.
"Why?"
"Because...it'll make everything worse...If you don't feel-"
His voice cut off as I kissed his hand again, pausing with his fingers at my lips. He let out a shaky sigh and his hair flopped forward. Then he looked at my lips for a long moment. "What if...?"
I bit my lower lip. "What?"
"What if we could be like this again?" He leaned in closer with a smile, and as he did,he said, "Are you going to steal my soul?"
"Um...it's not technically your soul that..."
I couldn't finish my sentence. His lips brushed mine, and I felt the whoosh of transferring emotions, but it wasn't as strong as th ~ Brodi Ashton
Happy Memories quotes by Brodi Ashton
Tristan started the car, pulling carefully out onto the street now that the snow had begun to fall.
"You seemed so happy this last quarter," P.K. prompted.
"I was. I fell in love."
"And?"
"It didn't work out
isn't working out." Tristan shook his head. "I'm not ready."
"Ah," said P.K. They drove the rest of the way in silence. Tristan thought then that he was lucky; Jonathon and Daniel didn't know how to value a silence, but P.K. made it comfortable. He was glad he was here with P.K. and not alone in the unbearable silence of snow. ~ Z.A. Maxfield
Happy Memories quotes by Z.A. Maxfield
I am new and improved. My mind is renewed. My spirit is rejoicing. I am focused on overflow. I am happy. I am happy that I am happy because being happy causes more happiness to come to me. ~ Germany Kent
Happy Memories quotes by Germany Kent
I'm very lucky, I'm happy with life because my experiences led me to do what I had to do. I don't have any regrets whatsoever. ~ Van Morrison
Happy Memories quotes by Van Morrison
It is dangerous to use our own ability to access non-traumatic memories as a standard against which we judge a trauma victim's response. ~ David Yeung
Happy Memories quotes by David Yeung
The idea that my sucker is moving through thought itself, through emotion and reason, that memories, dreams and reflections should consist of jelly, is simply too strange to understand. ~ Henry Marsh
Happy Memories quotes by Henry Marsh
Happy, however, I cannot be, absent from you and my darling little ones. I feel that nothing can ever compensate for the loss of the enjoyments I leave at home or can ever put my heart at tolerable ease...In reality, my attachments to home disqualify me for either business or pleasure abroad and the prospect of a detention here for eight or ten days, perhaps a fortnight, fills me with an anxiety which will best be conceived by my Betsey's own impatience...Think of me with as much tenderness as I do of you and we can not fail to be always happy. ~ Alexander Hamilton
Happy Memories quotes by Alexander Hamilton
In Atlantic City, Bernie Hayesman looked at the plate of ribs, and he was not happy. He had asked for an omelet, a simple omelet to be sent up to his office, and they had sent ribs. He couldn't understand it. He'd spoken to the chef personally. They'd discussed eggs, if briefly. There was no earthly way "omelet" could have been misconstrued as "ribs". He looked at the plate of ribs, and the ribs looked back. Neither he nor they were overjoyed at the situation. ~ Jonathan L. Howard
Happy Memories quotes by Jonathan L. Howard
Our sense of self, formulated in large part by the untold number of cross-related connections that we make with our physical, social, and family environments, is reliant upon fitting into our social fabric. The educational environment, family relationships, peer groups, books, television, films, music, along with an assortment of other cultural events shape our emergent persona. Our successes and failures interacting in the world leave their collective imprint upon the wet clay of our forming brains. We are sentimental creatures who cling to past memories. We are inquisitive critters who venture forth from our protective dens to explore new territory. We are perceptive organisms equipped with five basic senses. We are sentient beings who can consciously organize our sense impressions into guiding ideas and useful principles. Our survival responses form a central cord of our emotions. We are receptive, compassionate beings that respond with both body and mind to global stimuli. ~ Kilroy J. Oldster
Happy Memories quotes by Kilroy J. Oldster
I'm a happy guy, but if I'm in a rare dark mood, I won't go out because I don't want to be horrible to people. ~ Jerry Springer
Happy Memories quotes by Jerry Springer
Try to be a happy memory for your friends. ~ Fred Smith
Happy Memories quotes by Fred Smith
My Caroline,
If you're reading this endnote then I can assume you've suffered your way through the story, our story once again. I suppose having you relive our time together is the ultimate proof of my sadism, as if you of all people needed further proof.
At the end I find myself surprised by how easy it was to write this book about us. I found I missed you so much that a terrible vacuum had formed; all the words came and filled it and for a little while you were home with me again. I didn't want it to end but a story must have an end, I suppose.
I have no secrets to reveal on this final page. I loved you. At least I tried to. And I failed you. I failed you with great success. Forgive me if you can. I will not apologize anymore.
I'm done writing now. I may go into the garden and read until evening. It isn't quite the same without your head on my knee and your ill-informed criticisms of my reading material, but I shall carry on alone, page by page, until the end. And when evening comes and the sun is sitting on the edge of the earth, I will look out, searching for a break in the horizon as that father did once so many thousands of years ago…the father waiting for his prodigal child to return.
I hope you are happy. As for me, I…continue. If you ever miss me, miss… But some things are best left unwritten. Just know I have kept your room for you. I'll say no more. I know I sent you away. I know it was the right thing to do. But I also know that perhaps no ~ Tiffany Reisz
