Alive," Kimi interrupted. "I get you out of typhoon alive and you just yell and say bad things. I quit. You get new navigator. Roberto say you mean, nasty, Chevy-driving, milk-drinking, American dog f*cker."
I don't drink milk," Tuck said. Ha! Won that round. ~ Christopher Moore
Navigator quotes by Christopher Moore
So they drove again, Vivien sitting up and looking now, but as navigator only, letting the desert scratch its own thorny poetry on the enormous moon. ~ Douglas Woolf
Navigator quotes by Douglas Woolf
Look in Kego's defense he was only Nine and a half when he took command of the ship and she had been put way off course by her captain and you lot would all be dead if it wasn't for him.
Jenny Smith In The Navigator by Steve Merrick ~ Steve Merrick
Navigator quotes by Steve Merrick
To be a navigator, you have to be fierce. ~ Mau Piailug
Navigator quotes by Mau Piailug
The professor is not merely an information dispensing machine, but a skilled navigator of a complex landscape. ~ William Badke
Navigator quotes by William Badke
No navigator has yet traced lines of latitude and longitude on the conjugal sea. ~ Honore De Balzac
Navigator quotes by Honore De Balzac
When a legislator succeeds, after persevering efforts, in exercising an indirect influence upon the destiny of nations, his genius is lauded by mankind, whilst, in point of fact, the geographical position of the country which he is unable to change, a social condition which arose without his co-operation, manners and opinions which he cannot trace to their source, and an origin with which he is unacquainted, exercise so irresistible an influence over the courses of society that he is himself borne away by the current, after an ineffectual resistance. Like the navigator, he may direct the vessel which bears him along, but he can neither change its structure, nor raise the winds, nor lull the waters which swell beneath him. ~ Alexis De Tocqueville
Navigator quotes by Alexis De Tocqueville
For centuries, cultures throughout the world have used indigenous technologies to navigate life's complexities. From navigator-priests in Micronesia to mystics in India, vast sums of knowledge are available if we but recognize it. ~ Elizabeth Kapu'uwailani Lindsey
Navigator quotes by Elizabeth Kapu'uwailani Lindsey
You were always grossly obese,' observed Stephen. 'Were you to walk ten miles a day, and eat half what you do in fact devour, with no butcher's meat and no malt liquors, you would be able to play at the hand-ball like a Christian rather than a galvanized manatee, or dugong. Mr Goodridge, how do you so, sir? I hope I see you well.' This to Jack's opponent, a former shipmate, the master of HMS Polychrest and a fine navigator, but one whose calculations had unfortunately convinced him that phoenixes and comets were one and the same thing - that the appearance of a phoenix, reported in the chronicles, was in fact the return of one or another of the various comets whose periods were either known or conjectured. He resented disagreement, and although in ordinary matters he was the kindest, gentlest of men, he was now confined for maltreating a rear-admiral of the blue: he had not actually struck Sir James, but he had bitten his remonstrating finger. ~ Patrick O'Brian
Navigator quotes by Patrick O'Brian
When we were given dominion over the world, we were also given dominion over ourselves. God is not our navigator. It was never His intention to chart a course for each of us and thus place us all under His bondage. Instead, He bestowed each of us with intellect and talent and vision to map our own way, to write our own Book of Life in any manner we choose. ~ Og Mandino
Navigator quotes by Og Mandino
Dear Nancy,
I love your book The Crystal Navigator. You paint beautiful imagery throughout the pages of the story, and I loved learning about art through the adventures of Lucy. I'm honored to be one of the first readers of your wonderful story,
Sincerely,
Sylvie" (11 years old) ~ Sylvie
Navigator quotes by Sylvie
The battle for the lead between faith and reason can be settled by accepting the guiding hand of an experienced navigator. ~ Elaine Orabona Foster
Navigator quotes by Elaine Orabona Foster
I do not believe there is any such sixth sense. A man with a good sense of direction is, to me, quite simply an able pathfinder - a natural navigator - somebody who can find his way by the use of the five senses (sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch - the senses he was born with) developed by the blessing of experience and the use of intelligence. All that pathfinder needs is his senses and knowledge of how to interpret nature's signs. ~ Harold Gatty
Navigator quotes by Harold Gatty
Haven't seen the Navigator yet," Michaels said, standing next to the window. "Fine. They're probably parked on the other side," Judge suggested from directly behind Michaels. He didn't have to stand that close and there were other windows, but he was drawn to Michaels' flame like a moth. "I'm starving," Michaels said, out of the blue. "Me, too." "We'll ~ A.E. Via
Navigator quotes by A.E. Via
Everyone is Annawadi talks like this- oh, I will make my child a doctor, a lawyer, and he will make us rich. It's vanity, nothing more. Your little boat goes west and you congratulate yourself, "What a navigator I am!" And then the wind blows you east. -ABDUL'S FATHER, KARAM HUSAIN ~ Katherine Boo
Navigator quotes by Katherine Boo
We [Israel people] always blame Moses, that he was our greatest leader and one of the most gifted people in the world. He brought us the moral code and so on, belief in one God, but then he was a bad navigator. He brought us to the only part of the Middle East without any gas, without any oil. ~ Benjamin Netanyahu
Navigator quotes by Benjamin Netanyahu
Suddenly, it seems ridiculous that we just came from a city airport named for Columbus, a terrible navigator who insisted to his dying day that he was in India - which is why people here are called Indians. As the Native women in Houston said, It could have been worse - he could have thought he was in Turkey. ~ Gloria Steinem
Navigator quotes by Gloria Steinem
I have zero respect for knowledge, that's what computers are for. Imagination is the kicker because imagination can extrapolate, create and solve, Knowledge is just facts and shit. Mostly irrelevant.
Kego O'Grady in The Navigator By Steve Merrick ~ Steve Merrick
Navigator quotes by Steve Merrick
In the area of field apps, Collector for ArcGIS is great, but where do you go? There's a navigator app. And then what do you do when you get there? There's a workforce app. So all of these apps work hand-in-hand to support field workers. ~ Jack Dangermond
Navigator quotes by Jack Dangermond
The Indian navigator naturally distinguishes by a name those parts of a stream where he has encountered quick water and forks, andagain, the lakes and smooth water where he can rest his weary arms, since those are the most interesting and more arable parts to him. ~ Henry David Thoreau
Navigator quotes by Henry David Thoreau
A traveller I am, and a navigator, and everyday I discover a new region within my soul. ~ Kahlil Gibran
Navigator quotes by Kahlil Gibran
Follow your heart, but use your mind as the navigator. ~ Anarie Brady
Navigator quotes by Anarie Brady
The spread of online information isn't just good for charities. It's also good for donors. You can go to a site like Charity Navigator, which evaluates nonprofits on their financial health as well as the amount of information they share about their work. ~ Bill Gates
Navigator quotes by Bill Gates
Nobody wants to make a bad 'Flight of the Navigator' remake. There's just no interest. We're going to do it if it's good. ~ Colin Trevorrow
Navigator quotes by Colin Trevorrow
Louie killed time by sleeping on Mitchell's navigator table and taking flying lessons from Phil. On some flights, he sprawled behind the cockpit, reading Ellery Queen novels and taxing the nerves of Douglas, who eventually got so annoyed at having to step over Louie's long legs that he attacked him with a fire extinguisher. ~ Laura Hillenbrand
Navigator quotes by Laura Hillenbrand
She reaches for me then, angry in her tenderness as only Dina can be. Not as a navigator, you dumb bitch. ~ Ann Aguirre
Navigator quotes by Ann Aguirre
A library is a place to go for a reality check, a bracing dose of literature, or a "true reflection of our history," whether it's a brick-and-mortar building constructed a century ago or a fanciful arrangement of computer codes. The librarian is the organizer, the animating spirit behind it, and the navigator. Her job is to create order out of the confusion of the past, even as she enables us to blast into the future. ~ Marilyn Johnson
Navigator quotes by Marilyn Johnson
Managers are never 100 percent in control. You're at the mercy of the players. When you're a player, you're driving. I'm the navigator. I hardly ever think about driving anymore, unless there's two out in the bottom of the ninth. ~ Dusty Baker
Navigator quotes by Dusty Baker
Sacajawea's celebrated role on the Lewis and Clark expedition wasn't primarily that of a navigator; she made their being lost more viable by her knowledge of useful plants, of languages, by the way she and her infant signified to the tribes they encountered that this was not a war party, and perhaps by her sense that all this was home, or somebody's home. ~ Rebecca Sonlit
Navigator quotes by Rebecca Sonlit
What are the Hanged Man's powers?" I tried to remember more about that player.

"I don't know," Aric admitted. "I've never faced him, nor seen him mentioned in any chronicles I've read. The Star had his icon in the last game. But did the Arcane Navigator take it himself, or harvest it from another?" Aric rotated his shot glass on his desk blotter. "The Hanged Man remains a mystery. That is why he's called uncanny. In this game, all have been accounted for, but for him."

"Then he's the inactivated card?" One Arcana was dormant - until he or she killed another player. "Matthew told me to beware of that player but wouldn't reveal an identity. ~ Kresley Cole
Navigator quotes by Kresley Cole
Your little boat goes west and you congratulate yourself, "What a navigator I am!" And then the wind blows you east. ~ Katherine Boo
Navigator quotes by Katherine Boo
No Navigator, we are just going with the flow of it all.
007 In The Navigator by Steve Merrick ~ Steve Merrick
Navigator quotes by Steve Merrick
If you could go anywhere, where would you want to go?"

"Could we find a map of someplace perfect?"

"Like paradise?" I asked, teasing.

"Here? No." He stared upward, the first stars shining in his eyes. "A better place. Someplace where nothing goes wrong. There must be a myth like that somewhere."

I bit my lip; my shoulders fell. "Navigation involves the beliefs of the Navigator and the mapmaker. And I don't think I've ever met anyone who truly believes in a world without suffering. ~ Heidi Heilig
Navigator quotes by Heidi Heilig
Navigators have had a huge impact in my life; I gave my life to Christ in college and the witness of The Navigators and their dynamic materials have provided a great foundation for my Christian life. As the founder of FOCUS, The Navigator staff has been a great resource to me and to my staff as we too seek to reach a generation of young leaders with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. ~ Curtis Martin
Navigator quotes by Curtis Martin
A bunch of money-grubbin', greenhouse-gasing, seal-clubbing, oil-drilling, Bible-thumping, missile-firing, right-to-life-ing, lethal-injecting hypocrites. People whose idea of a good time is strapping a dead panda to a Lincoln Navigator and running over everybody in the gay parade. ~ Richard Jeni
Navigator quotes by Richard Jeni
The office, which had an outside entrance for ordinary visitors, was separated from the parlor by a sliding door; though Mr. Clutter occasionally shared the office with Gerald Van Vleet, a young man who assisted him with the management of the farm, it was fundamentally his retreat - an orderly sanctuary, paneled in walnut veneer, where, surrounded by weather barometers, rain charts, a pair of binoculars, he sat like a captain in his cabin, a navigator piloting River Valley's sometimes risky passage through the seasons. ~ Truman Capote
Navigator quotes by Truman Capote
The future science of government should be called 'la cybernétique' (1843)

{Coining the French word to mean 'the art of governing,' from the Greek (Kybernetes = navigator or steersman), subsequently adopted as cybernetics by Norbert Wiener for the field of control and communication theory.} ~ Andre Marie Ampere
Navigator quotes by Andre Marie Ampere
The compass rose is nothing but a star with an infinite number of rays pointing in all directions.
It is the one true and perfect symbol of the universe.
And it is the one most accurate symbol of you.
Spread your arms in an embrace, throw your head back, and prepare to receive and send coordinates of being. For, at last you know - you are the navigator, the captain, and the ship. ~ Vera Nazarian
Navigator quotes by Vera Nazarian
Every seaman is not only a navigator, but a merchant and also a soldier. ~ William Petty
Navigator quotes by William Petty
In stories, you can find out all sorts of things. Did you know that in 1769 the English navigator Captain James Cook sighted Aotearoa (New Zealand)? He landed at Poverty Bay two days later. ~ Isaac Du Toit
Navigator quotes by Isaac Du Toit
Believe this truth, that we are fellow members of the body of Christ and that God loves each of us, could serve to diffuse a lot of hostility and disagreement among fellow believers. I am grateful that God taught me this lesson early in my training to be a Navigator staff member. ~ Jerry Bridges
Navigator quotes by Jerry Bridges
Time flies. It's up to you to be the navigator. ~ Robert Orben
Navigator quotes by Robert Orben
In 1498, Vasco da Gama the Portuguese navigator explored this eastern coast of Africa flanking the Indian Ocean. This led him to open a trade route to Asia and occupy Mozambique to the Portuguese colony. In 1840, it came under the control of the Sultan of Zanzibar and became a British protectorate in 1895, with Mombasa as its capital.

Nairobi, lying 300 miles to the northwest of Mombasa is the largest city in Kenya. It became the capital in 1907 and is the fastest growing urban area in the Republic having become independent of the United Kingdom on December 12, 1963 and declared a republic the following year on December 12, 1964.

Kenya is divided by the 38th meridian of longitude into two very different halves. The eastern half of Kenya slopes towards the coral-backed seashore of the Indian Ocean while the western side rises through a series of hills to the African Shear Zone or Central Rift. West of the Rift, the lowest part of a westward-sloping plateau contains Lake Victoria. This, the largest lake in Africa, receives most of its water from rain, the Kagera River and countless small streams. Its only outlet is the White Nile River which is part of the longest river on Earth. Combined, the Blue Nile and the White Nile, stretches 4,160 miles before emptying into the Mediterranean Sea. ~ Captain Hank, "Seawater Three"
