Allan said that they would all turn up soon. And then he ended with some encouraging words about how he thought that there wasn't a single person in the world who had gone so far with such a limited intelligence as Amanda had done. And Amanda thought that was so beautifully said, that tears came to her eyes. ~ Jonas Jonasson
Encouraging Words quotes by Jonas Jonasson
I was never ready to give up, but I did get words of confidence to move forward from a few musicians that had climbed up the totem pole of rock. They were encouraging words that struck a nerve with me and made me stronger. ~ Lita Ford
Encouraging Words quotes by Lita Ford
The latent potential within your spouse in his or her areas of insecurity may await your encouraging words. ~ Gary Chapman
Encouraging Words quotes by Gary Chapman
Discouraging words...discourage dreams,
Encouraging words...sprout dreams,
Parents plant the seeds! ~ Kristin Anderson Cetone
Encouraging Words quotes by Kristin Anderson Cetone
I find that while each partner might have needed some specific coaching, the real tests we faced were basically the same, season after season. We had to learn to move as a team. We had to master complex, carefully timed choreography. We had to face the hot lights and live action and the idea that millions of eyes were upon us. But beyond that, I needed to inspire and instill confidence in each person I coached and danced with. I needed to communicate with an open heart and empathetic, encouraging words. I had to critique usefully and praise strategically. I also needed to be my authentic self--exposing my personal vulnerabilities to win their trust. Ultimately, I had to make each of my partners embrace not just me, but also her own sill and power. Every partner I've danced with has it within them to kick ass and climb mountains. When you put yourself in a situation when you're vulnerable, that's when your power is revealed. And it's always there; it's part of your DNA. It's like a woman walking into a room looking for the diamond necklace and realizing it's around her neck. I'm not changing any of these ladies; I'm helping them rediscover themselves.
And truth be told, that was never my goal. I never walked into a studio thinking, I'm going to transform this person's life. I'm no therapist! I was just trying to put some damn routines together! But I realized after all these seasons that the dance is a metaphor for the journey. Every one of my partners has had a very diff ~ Derek Hough
Encouraging Words quotes by Derek Hough
Encouraging words are hands that pool others from the despair of life. ~ Bangambiki Habyarimana
Encouraging Words quotes by Bangambiki Habyarimana
Through our struggles and pain, we are being offered perseverance, the character of God. Hardships are intended to give us a spiritual makeover, "that we may share in his holiness" (Heb. 12:10). Therefore, when God encourages us to persevere, he is not stumbling for encouraging words. He is teaching us how to look like him. ~ Edward T. Welch
Encouraging Words quotes by Edward T. Welch
The heart of our problem is the selfishness in our heart.

The human spirit soars with hope when lifted by an encouraging word.

The important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. ~ Pierre De Coubertin
Encouraging Words quotes by Pierre De Coubertin
There is a high cost in our doings and sayings:We understand to be understood, we love to be loved, we give to be given, we forgive to be forgiven. We say encouraging words to encouraged, inspiring words to be inspired, uplifting words to be uplifted and comforting words to be comforted. This the principle of sowing and reaping. ~ Euginia Herlihy
Encouraging Words quotes by Euginia Herlihy
It was too much. She reached between them, grasping his hand and finally, finally, pushing him against her. She leaned over him, meeting his eyes, seeing the dark pleasure in him, the tightly leashed need. His fingers slid through her soft curls, parting her secret folds, twisting, circling, guided by her hand at his wrist. His thumb stroked long and slow in a wicked loop that made her question her own sanity.
He watched her as she struggled under the weight of the pleasure, teasing her with his words as much as his fingers. "There, love? Is that where it feels good?"
She was lost to his wicked, encouraging words and his wicked, encouraging fingers, and she whispered her response, moving against him. And then he was touching her just as she wanted, circling her perfectly, stroking with exactly the right amount of pressure. It was as though he knew her body better than she did. It was as though her body belonged to him.
And perhaps it did.
One of his beautiful long fingers slid deep inside of her, the heel of his palm rocking against a point of acute, almost unbearable pleasure, and she called out his name, rocking against his touch, knowing that something incredible was about to happen.
"Michael," she whispered his name, wanting more. Wanting everything.
She was filled with desire and greed and she wanted him to never ever stop touching that most secret part of her. ~ Sarah MacLean
Encouraging Words quotes by Sarah MacLean
As a designer and someone that likes getting my hands dirty, it's hard. It's a competition. I can't give too much away. One thing I could do was offer encouraging words. ~ David Bromstad
Encouraging Words quotes by David Bromstad
I could feel a million reasons, but there were no words to express them. ~ Jerry Spinelli
Encouraging Words quotes by Jerry Spinelli
My head is a hive of words that won't settle. ~ Virginia Woolf
Encouraging Words quotes by Virginia Woolf
What is the finding of love,
but a voice answering a voice? ~ D. Antoinette Foy
Encouraging Words quotes by D. Antoinette Foy
Every song I've ever written always starts with the words because I want the music to be the musical extension of the feelings of the words, and not the words being the emotional extension of the feeling of the music. ~ John Trudell
Encouraging Words quotes by John Trudell
A kind of walking trance I have frequently had, quite up from boyhood, when I have been all alone. This has often come upon me through repeating my own name to myself silently till, all at once, as it were, out of the intensity of the consciousness of individuality, the individuality itself seemed to dissolve and fade away into boundless being; and this not a confused state, but the clearest of the clearest, the surest of the surest, the weirdest of the weirdest, utterly beyond words, where death was an almost laughable impossibility, the loss of personality (if so it were) seeming no extinction, but the only true life.... ~ Alfred Tennyson
Encouraging Words quotes by Alfred Tennyson
It seemed, however, that I had. I didn't want any more, so I got them. And now I am glad, for if, as I had sometimes wished at that time, I could have finished with a consciousness become unbearable, if, in other words, I had then died, I would never have known a great many very beautiful and delightful things. Evidently, then, it is wise not too soon to lose patience with life, but to wait and see what it may have round its next corner. I ~ Elizabeth Von Arnim
Encouraging Words quotes by Elizabeth Von Arnim
As I embarked on; what was to be the greatest adventure of my life; critics appeared before me. ' you can't, you won't, what if?' Noise filled the air with meaningless words as they confessed their hidden fears, with opinionations of my path. They saw me as crazy, but only those whom were yet to understand themselves. ~ Nikki Rowe
Encouraging Words quotes by Nikki Rowe
Prayer and sacrifice can touch souls better than words. ~ Therese Of Lisieux
Encouraging Words quotes by Therese Of Lisieux
It is an encouraging observation that no good measure was ever proposed which, if duly pursued, failed to prevail in the end. ~ Thomas Jefferson
Encouraging Words quotes by Thomas Jefferson
Words are only postage stamps delivering the object for you to unwrap ~ George Bernard Shaw
Encouraging Words quotes by George Bernard Shaw
T IME'S a circumference

Whereof the segment of our station seems

A long straight line from nothing into naught.

Therefore we say " progress, " " infinity " -

Dull words whose object

Hangs in the air of error and delights

Our boyish minds ahunt for butterflies.

For aspiration studies not the sky

But looks for stars; the victories of faith

Are soldiered none the less with certainties,

And all the multitudinous armies decked

With banners blown ahead and flute before

March not to the desert or th' Elysian fields,

But in the track of some discovery,

The grip and cognizance of something true,

Which won resolves a better distribution

Between the dreaming mind and real truth.

I cannot understand you.

'T is because

You lean over my meaning's edge and feel

A dizziness of the things I have not said. ~ Trumbull Stickney
Encouraging Words quotes by Trumbull Stickney
You're kidding, right? The whole town will know where we are just by the idle on that thing."
He feigned a look of shock. "That thing is a 1966 GTO. It has a name, okay? It's Mack - as in 'to mack on women.' I rebuilt it last year, and I was told the engine makes girls hot."
"Someone actually used those words? Is it true?"
"TBD," he said.
"You're goofy. Let's ride in my Jeep. Its name is Jeep."
Quinn chuckled. "Kavanagh has a smart mouth. ~ Laura Anderson Kurk
Encouraging Words quotes by Laura Anderson Kurk
If you respond to my warning, then I will pour out my spirit on you and teach you my words. 24 Since I ~ Anonymous

The online environment is unique, and that's a very good thing. Rather than be judged by what they look like or their ability to speak in front of a crowd, people are judged by the merit of their ideas and words. ~ L. H. Cosway
Encouraging Words quotes by L. H. Cosway
There is nothing ideal in Nature, because it was not created by some sort of ideal Almighty Being with perfect peerless craftsmanship. Nature as it is, has evolved through millions of years out of the biological drive for survival. ~ Abhijit Naskar
Encouraging Words quotes by Abhijit Naskar
Birthday is a sacred-life celebration. ~ Lailah Gifty Akita
Encouraging Words quotes by Lailah Gifty Akita
The words "Thy will be done," written in the heart, are the window to revelation. ~ Henry B. Eyring
Encouraging Words quotes by Henry B. Eyring
P68- there is no true word that is not at the same time a praxis. Thus, to speak a true word is to transform the world. ~ Paulo Freire
Encouraging Words quotes by Paulo Freire
How I go to church -
In my mind the conversation must include the stars, the trees and the rocks so, the outer dialog is just as important as the inner silence.
(For me) it is like the child in awe, or the way we know when it is time to drop to our knees as the sky changes.
It is when the world is painted a different color and gives us a multi-colored background – my gesture is reverence – it has no words.
The delivery method is a simple query as the universe complies with prayers.
No expectations - just a gentle nudge, a smile, and solace where I am.
This is my religion.
I am thankful.
The end. ~ Debbie Lynn - 360 Degrees Full Circle
Encouraging Words quotes by Debbie Lynn - 360 Degrees Full Circle
Gratitude takes three forms: a feeling in the heart, an expression in words, and a giving in return. ~ John Wanamaker
Encouraging Words quotes by John Wanamaker
Wealth is, for most people, the only honest and likely path to liberty. With money comes power over the world. Men are freed from drudgery, women from exploitation. Businesses can be started, homes built, communities formed, religions practiced, educations pursued. But liberals aren't very interested in such real and material freedoms. They have a more innocent - not to say toddlerlike - idea of freedom. Liberals want the freedom to put anything into their mouths, to say bad words and to expose their private parts in art museums. ~ P. J. O'Rourke
Encouraging Words quotes by P. J. O'Rourke
In our family, if you said the words 'I feel,' they better be followed with 'hungry' or 'cold'. Because we didn't get personal, that's just how it was. ~ Liz Murray
Encouraging Words quotes by Liz Murray
Tom read, - "Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
"Them's good words, enough," said the woman; "who says 'em?"
"The Lord," said Tom.
"I jest wish I know'd whar to find Him," said the woman. ~ Harriet Beecher Stowe
Encouraging Words quotes by Harriet Beecher Stowe
Rossett wondered if the old man was scared, watching his words almost as closely as he watched the whiskey, making sure not to spill too much of either. ~ Tony Schumacher
Encouraging Words quotes by Tony Schumacher
It was a place to bless God in and cease from vain words. ~ Elizabeth Von Arnim
Encouraging Words quotes by Elizabeth Von Arnim
I nod, trying not to look too hard at the food on his dish. The flakiness of the sugared crust, which reminds me of crystals on an edge of snow. The red-stained berries smeared across the plate, ripe and surely ful of taste. The words I've said cling to my mind like the pastry does to the heavy silver fork. ~ Ally Condie
Encouraging Words quotes by Ally Condie
If I know I have to memorize lines, I'm really gonna try to memorize lines. It's hard for me sometimes, because somebody wrote these words and you're trying really hard to get them the way they said it. ~ Amy Sedaris
Encouraging Words quotes by Amy Sedaris
Lefty, who'd been observing all the ways Greece had been handed down to America, arrived now at where the transmission stopped. In other words: the future. He stepped off to meet it. Desdemona, having no alternative, followed. ~ Jeffrey Eugenides
Encouraging Words quotes by Jeffrey Eugenides
We were brought up to need people. For what? For acceptance, approval, appreciation, applause - for what they call success. Those are words that do not correspond to reality. They are conventions, things that are invented, but we don't realize that they don't correspond to reality. What is success? It is what one group decided is a good thing. Another group will decide the same thing is bad. ~ Anthony De Mello
Encouraging Words quotes by Anthony De Mello
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
Words written in red, circled by Will. And lived.
"Jesus, I've listened to the lies too long. They've filled my head and led me on a long chase of things that don't matter. I bought into what Satan was feeding me until barely recognized my own face in the mirror. It took Will's death and Lucy's leaving to show me where my priorities should be.
I want to live for you.
I just ... want to live. ~ Jenny B. Jones
Encouraging Words quotes by Jenny B. Jones
I'm afraid to write. It's so dangerous. Anyone who's tried, knows. The danger of stirring up hidden things - and the world is not on the surface, it's hidden in its roots submerged in the depths of the sea. In order to write I must place myself in the void. In this void is where I exist intuitively. But it's a terribly dangerous void: it's where I wring out blood. I'm a writer who fears the snare of words: the words I say hide others - Which? maybe I'll say them. Writing is a stone cast down a deep well. ~ Clarice Lispector
Encouraging Words quotes by Clarice Lispector
Jack hesitated still, and Hazel wanted to say something comforting, give him some bright plastic flowers of words, but Jack would see them for what they were. Jack knew how to see things. ~ Anne Ursu
Encouraging Words quotes by Anne Ursu
What's the hurry? Are you afraid I won't come back? ~ Manfred Von Richthofen
Encouraging Words quotes by Manfred Von Richthofen
There is more than a verbal tie between the words common, community, and communication. ~ John Dewey
Encouraging Words quotes by John Dewey
We should have signs in the subways and shops "Watch your thoughts!" "Watch your words! ~ Florence Scovel Shinn
Encouraging Words quotes by Florence Scovel Shinn
My mother has always loved piano music and hungered to play. When she was in her early sixties, she retired from her job as a computer programmer so that she could devote herself more fully to the piano. As she had done with her dog obsession, she took her piano education to an extreme. She bought not one, not two, but three pianos.

One was the beautiful Steinway B, a small grand piano she purchased with a modest inheritance left by a friend of her parents'. She photocopied all of her music in a larger size so she could see it better and mounted it on manila folders. She practiced for several hours every day. When she wasn't practicing the piano she was talking about the piano.

I love pianos, too, and wrote an entire book about the life of one piano, a Steinway owned by the renowned pianist Glenn Gould. And I shared my mother's love for her piano. During phone conversations, I listened raptly as she told me about the instrument's cross-country adventures.

Before bringing the Steinway north, my mother had mentioned that she was considering selling it. I was surprised, but instead of reminding her that, last I knew, she was setting it aside for me, I said nothing, unable to utter the simple words, "But, Mom, don't you remember your promise?" If I did, it would be a way of asking for something, and asking my mother for something was always dangerous because of the risk of disappointment. ~ Katie Hafner
Encouraging Words quotes by Katie Hafner
