Service To Mankind quotes by Abhijit Naskar
Think of your career as your ministry. Make your work an expression of love, in service to mankind. Within the worldly illusion, we all have different jobs. Some of us are artists, some of us are business people, some of us are scientists. But in the real world that lies beyond all this, we all have the same job: to minister to human hearts. ~ Marianne Williamson
Service To Mankind quotes by Marianne Williamson

Service To Mankind quotes by Dallin H. Oaks
It's time that Islam should be redefined by the world based upon, the goodness of all the peace-loving Muslims, instead of the theoretical teachings of some books, be it Quran or the Hadith. ~ Abhijit Naskar
Service To Mankind quotes by Abhijit Naskar
Service is the only path to greatness. ~ Abhijit Naskar
Service To Mankind quotes by Abhijit Naskar
Sometimes it is difficult to different between leaders and misleaders. However, with the measurement of true service to mankind, the evidence is very clear! ~ Israelmore Ayivor
Service To Mankind quotes by Israelmore Ayivor
If you want the world to take you seriously, be important. If you want to be important, solve problems. ~ Saidi Mdala
Service To Mankind quotes by Saidi Mdala
A Hero: A Moment When You're Bigger Than Yourself. ~ H. L. Balcomb
Service To Mankind quotes by H. L. Balcomb
The best service to mankind is to become immersed in one's True Self. ~ Asaram
Service To Mankind quotes by Asaram
The feeling of righteousness is the core mood alteration among religious addicts. Religious addiction is a massive problem in our society. It may be the most pernicious of all addictions because it's so hard for a person to break his delusion and denial. How can anything be wrong with loving God and giving your life for good works and service to mankind? ~ John Bradshaw
Service To Mankind quotes by John Bradshaw
It would be a service to mankind if the pill were available in slot machines and the cigarette were placed on prescription. ~ Malcolm Potts
Service To Mankind quotes by Malcolm Potts
Ireland, like Ukraine, is a largely rural country which suffers from its proximity to a more powerful industrialised neighbour. Ireland's contribution to the history of tractors is the genius engineer Harry Ferguson, who was born in 1884, near Belfast.
Ferguson was a clever and mischievous man, who also had a passion for aviation. It is said that he was the first man in Great Britain to build and fly his own aircraft in 1909. But he soon came to believe that improving efficiency of food production would be his unique service to mankind. Harry Ferguson's first two-furrow plough was attached to the chassis of the Ford Model T car converted into a tractor, aptly named Eros. This plough was mounted on the rear of the tractor, and through ingenious use of balance springs it could be raised or lowered by the driver using a lever beside his seat. Ford, meanwhile, was developing its own tractors. The Ferguson design was more advanced, and made use of hydraulic linkage, but Ferguson knew that despite his engineering genius, he could not achieve his dream on his own. He needed a larger company to produce his design. So he made an informal agreement with Henry Ford, sealed only by a handshake. This Ford-Ferguson partnership gave to the world a new type of Fordson tractor far superior to any that had been known before, and the precursor of all modern-type tractors. However, this agreement by a handshake collapsed in 1947 when Henry Ford II took over the empire of his father, and st ~ Marina Lewycka
Service To Mankind quotes by Marina Lewycka
Your nation needs you. Your world needs you. So, use your education to become endowed with muscles of iron and nerves of steel. ~ Abhijit Naskar
Service To Mankind quotes by Abhijit Naskar
We priests are in some ways a sad group of men. Born into the world to render service to mankind, there is no one more wretchedly alone than the priest who does not measure up to his task. ~ Shusaku Endo
Service To Mankind quotes by Shusaku Endo
Service to the poor - the helpless - is the real service to God - it is the real worship of the Almighty. And this very worship is the highest form of practical holiness. ~ Abhijit Naskar
Service To Mankind quotes by Abhijit Naskar
The path of service is but a thorn-infested trail in the woods - a trail that is not yet made a trail, but simply lies indistinguishable from the rest of the jungle. And the work of a torch-bearer of progress is to make the trail appear and soften the thorns by crushing them with their own footsteps, while bearing an infinite amount of agony. ~ Abhijit Naskar
Service To Mankind quotes by Abhijit Naskar
As it often happens that the best men are but little known, and consequently cannot extend the usefulness of their examples a great way, the biographer is of great utility, as, by communicating such valuable patterns to the world, he may perhaps do a more extensive service to mankind than the person whose life originally afforded the pattern. ~ Henry Fielding
Service To Mankind quotes by Henry Fielding
The true religion, it is said, is service to mankind; but this service seems to take the form of securing for him an unconditional victory over nature. Now this attitude is impious, for, as has been noted, it violates the belief that creation or nature is fundamentally good, that the ultimate reason for its laws is a mystery, and that acts of defiance such as are daily celebrated by the newspapers are subversive of cosmos. ~ Richard M. Weaver
Service To Mankind quotes by Richard M. Weaver
Wine is a splendid thing in and of itself, but it is nonetheless proper to examine the high nutritional and hygienic values of wine from a scientific point of view. We are convinced that scientists will thus perform a service to mankind, since at the same time they will help determine the measure beyond which its use is a misuse for all creation. ~ Pope Pius XII
Service To Mankind quotes by Pope Pius XII
The only service to be done for our downtrodden sisters and brother, is to give them education to develop their individuality. We must give them ideas, alongside cultivating their living conditions. ~ Abhijit Naskar
Service To Mankind quotes by Abhijit Naskar
By the by, if the English race had done nothing else, yet if they left the world the notion of a gentleman, they would have done a great service to mankind. ~ Gerard Manley Hopkins
Service To Mankind quotes by Gerard Manley Hopkins
Service of humanity is practical divinity. ~ Abhijit Naskar
Service To Mankind quotes by Abhijit Naskar
I walked through centuries after centuries in the bodily vessels of countless monks and philosophers, and still my work is not done - it is far from done. I still have a long way to go with my heart bleeding in agony and my feet burning and trembling in tiredness, but still I shall not stop till every single human on earth realizes in the very core of their being that they are humans above everything else, and to achieve this, if I have to go through the heartache of loneliness and the mortal misery of social indifference and mockery over and over again in countless more lives to come, I shall most willingly do so. ~ Abhijit Naskar
Service To Mankind quotes by Abhijit Naskar
The Creator never singles out an individual for an important service to mankind without first testing him, through struggle, in proportion to the nature of the service he is to render. ~ Napoleon Hill
Service To Mankind quotes by Napoleon Hill
They are the humans, who are uniquely adorned with the priceless characteristic of empathizing. They are the humans who shed tears full of purity and piety, when they see even a complete stranger in pain and misery. They are the humans who come together to save a kid in the neighborhood when he is trapped under the wreckage of his fallen home, regardless of caste, creed and religion. ~ Abhijit Naskar
Service To Mankind quotes by Abhijit Naskar
May you be of service to mankind. ~ Lailah Gifty Akita
Service To Mankind quotes by Lailah Gifty Akita
Whereas goodness makes greatness teachable, greatness makes goodness touchable. ~ Orrin Woodward
Service To Mankind quotes by Orrin Woodward
Men and women run away from every goal, whether worldly or spiritual, because they overestimate the initial task. The proper way is a bit at a time. It is the same if someone eats too much; they should diminish it daily by a small bit, gradually. In that way, before a year or two have passed, they will have cut down what they eat by half, reducing it in such a way that their body does not notice. So it is with worship, withdrawing into solitude, attending to the service of God, and prayer. When a person enters upon the Way of God, for a while their prayers will be short. But after that, if they pray with their whole heart, their prayers will go on and on without end. ~ Jalaluddin Rumi
Service To Mankind quotes by Jalaluddin Rumi
As far as other important people go, university president Richard Levin believes "there are many ways to contribute to the well-being of society, and there are many forms of public service." He rejects the notion that "people who choose a business career aren't interested in being public-spirited," asserting that "what's outstanding about Yale graduates is that whatever career they choose, they end up being active participants in the civic life of the communities in which they live. ~ Marina Keegan
Service To Mankind quotes by Marina Keegan
Apparently the world today can no longer be anything other than a world of masters and
slaves because contemporary ideologies, those that are changing the face of the earth, have learned from
Hegel to conceive of history in terms of the dialectic of master and slave. If, on the first morning of the
world, under the empty sky, there is only a master and a slave; even if there is only the bond of master
and slave between a transcendent god and mankind, then there can be no other law in this world than the
law of force. Only a god, or a principle above the master and the slave, could intervene and make men's
history something more than a mere chronicle of their victories and defeats. ~ Albert Camus
Service To Mankind quotes by Albert Camus
You may be good, but what are you good for? You've got to be good for something. You've got to be about some project, some task that requires you to be humble and obedient to the universal principles of service. You've got to live a life of complete and total integrity in order to give this kind of service. This integrity enables you to love other people unconditionally, to be courageous and kind at the same time, because you have integratedness inside your own soul. ~ Stephen Covey
Service To Mankind quotes by Stephen Covey
Prostitution and corruption are two things that mankind has had to live with for so long. ~ Najib Razak
Service To Mankind quotes by Najib Razak
No government can guarantee security. It can only tax production, distribution and service and gradually crush the power to pay taxes. That settles nothing. It only uses up the gains of the past and postpones the developments of the future. ~ Henry Ford
Service To Mankind quotes by Henry Ford
For every dilemma, find at least three or four possible solutions. The creative process leads to better results. ~ Marilyn Suttle
Service To Mankind quotes by Marilyn Suttle
Annual plants are nature's emergency medical service, seeded in sounds and scars to hold the land until the perennial cover is re-established. ~ Wendell Berry
Service To Mankind quotes by Wendell Berry
Things are not more or less perfect, according as they delight or offend human senses, or according as they are serviceable or repugnant to mankind. ~ Baruch Spinoza
Service To Mankind quotes by Baruch Spinoza
Nature seems to have taken a particular care to disseminate her blessings among the different regions of the world, with an eye to their mutual intercourse and traffic among mankind, that the nations of the several parts of the globe might have a kind of dependence upon one another and be united together by their common interest. ~ Joseph Addison
Service To Mankind quotes by Joseph Addison
I do not understand a mind which sees a gracious beneficence in spending money to slay and maim human beings in almost unimaginable numbers and deprecates the expenditure of a smaller sum to patch up the ills of mankind. ~ Harry S. Truman
Service To Mankind quotes by Harry S. Truman
Humans like stories. Humans need stories. Stories are good. Stories work. Story clarifies and captures the essence of the human spirit. Story, in all its forms - of life, of love, of knowledge - has traced the upward surge of mankind. And story, you mark my words, will be with the last human to draw breath. ~ Jasper Fforde
Service To Mankind quotes by Jasper Fforde
It is an old and wise caution, that when our neighbor's house is on fire, we ought to take care of our own. For tho', blessed be God, I live in a government where liberty is well understood, and freely enjoy'd; yet experience has shown us all that bad precedent in one government is soon set up for an authority in another; and therefore I cannot but think it mine, and every honest man's duty that we ought at the same time to be upon our guard against power, wherever we apprehend that it may affect ourselves or our fellow subjects.
I should think it my duty, if required, to go to the utmost part of the land, where my service could be of any use in assisting to quench the flame of prosecutions upon informations, set on foot by the government, to deprive a people of their right to remonstrating (and complaining too) of the arbitrary attempts of men in power. ~ Andrew Hamilton
Service To Mankind quotes by Andrew Hamilton
What is the future of men who have
lost sight of the past?

Earl Hollsopple lived on the edge of civilization in a deserted shack for nearly forty years. His life was one beautiful night of stargazing after another, until a helicopter flies overhead, and exposing his meager world. It is a sign; it is time for him to return to civilization.

Unknowingly, Earl's journey parallels another he had deeply repressed, and that is his return from the Vietnam War. The lone survivor of a plane crash, Earl waits for rescue that never came. He is left to find his way home alone.

On both his quests, old Earl and young Earl learn lessons of survival, overcoming isolation and handling conflicts; his travels teach him not just about himself, but humankind. Reaching pivotal points in both journeys, Earl meets fateful loves, leading to destinies that are ultimately intertwined.

Everything in life circles until we are able to answer the riddles that plaque man and humanity. Only until we take the journey, solve the problems of our own existence, do we find our way home. ~ Jennifer Ott
Service To Mankind quotes by Jennifer Ott
But inherited wealth reaches its utmost value when it falls to the individual endowed with mental powers of a high order, who is resolved to pursue a line of life not compatible with the making of money; for he is then doubly endowed by fate and can live for his genius; and he will pay his debt to mankind a hundred times, by achieving what no other could achieve, by producing some work which contributes to the general good, and redounds to the honor of humanity at large. ~ Arthur Schopenhauer
Service To Mankind quotes by Arthur Schopenhauer
Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned our undying gratitude. America will never forget their sacrifices. ~ Harry S. Truman
Service To Mankind quotes by Harry S. Truman
All of my high school male teachers were WWII and/or Korean War veterans. They taught my brothers and me the value of service to our country and reinforced what our dad had shown us about the meaning of service. ~ Oliver North
Service To Mankind quotes by Oliver North
Foresight of our own dissolution is so terrible to us, and that the idea of those circumstances, which undoubtedly can give us no pain when we are dead, makes us miserable while we are alive. And from thence arises one of the most important principles in human nature, the dread of death, the great poison to the happiness, but the great restraint upon the injustice of mankind, which, while it afflicts and mortifies the individual, guards and protects the society. ~ Adam Smith
Service To Mankind quotes by Adam Smith
And what did the great British historian Edward Gibbon have to say about the human record so far? He said, "History is indeed little more than the register of the crimes, follies and misfortunes of mankind." The same can be said about this morning's issue of The New York Times. ~ Kurt Vonnegut
Service To Mankind quotes by Kurt Vonnegut
This police force consisted--of slaves. The free Athenian regarded this police duty as so degrading that he preferred being arrested by an armed slave rather than lending himself to such an ignominious service. ~ Friedrich Engels
Service To Mankind quotes by Friedrich Engels
May your service of love a beautiful thing; want nothing else, fear nothing else and let love be free to become what love truly is. ~ Hadewijch
Service To Mankind quotes by Hadewijch
My deepest regret from my years in public service is the failure of the United States and the international community to act sooner to halt these crimes. ~ Madeleine Albright
Service To Mankind quotes by Madeleine Albright
I decided that mankind could live better without gods. If I disposed of them all, people could start having can openers and cans to open again, and things like that, without fearing the wrath of Heaven. We've stepped on these poor fools enough. I wanted to give them a chance to be free, to build what they wanted. ~ Roger Zelazny
Service To Mankind quotes by Roger Zelazny
It must have been around that time that I discovered an essay by Ralph Wiley in which he responded to Bellow's quip. "Tolstoy is the Tolstoy of the Zulus," wrote Wiley. "Unless you find a profit in fencing off universal properties of mankind into exclusive tribal ownership." And there it was. I had accepted Bellow's premise. ~ Ta-Nehisi Coates
Service To Mankind quotes by Ta-Nehisi Coates
Bloggers intent on self-expression which renders no service to readers don't get read. ~ Lee Gutkind
Service To Mankind quotes by Lee Gutkind
Precisely because Marx was convinced that the cause of the proletariat was of decisive importance for the whole future of mankind, he wanted to create for that cause not a flimsy platform of rhetorical invective or wishful thinking, but the rock-like foundation of scientific truth. ~ Ernest Mandel
Service To Mankind quotes by Ernest Mandel
How well does your experience of the sacred in nature enable you to cope more effectively with the problems of mankind when you come back to the city? ~ Willi Unsoeld
Service To Mankind quotes by Willi Unsoeld
All work, according to God's design, is service. ~ Timothy J. Keller
Service To Mankind quotes by Timothy J. Keller
Hail, Son of the Most High, heir of both Worlds, Queller of Satan! On thy glorious work Now enter, and begin to save Mankind. Thus they the Son of God, our Saviour meek, Sung victor, and, from heavenly feast refreshed, Brought on his way with joy. He, unobserved, Home to his mother's house private returned. ~ John Milton
Service To Mankind quotes by John Milton
But when the leaders choose to make themselves bidders at an auction of popularity, their talents, in the construction of the state, will be of no service. They will become flatterers instead of legislators; the instruments, not the guides, of the people. If any of them should happen to propose a scheme of liberty, soberly limited, and defined with proper qualifications, he will be immediately outbid by his competitors, who will produce something more splendidly popular. Suspicions will be raised of his fidelity to his cause. Moderation will be stigmatized as the virtue of cowards; and compromise as the prudence of traitors; until, in hopes of preserving the credit which may enable him to temper, and moderate, on some occasions, the popular leader is obliged to become active in propagating doctrines, and establishing powers, that will afterwards defeat any sober purpose at which he ultimately might have aimed. ~ Edmund Burke
Service To Mankind quotes by Edmund Burke
Listen to customers and you will hear them. Look carefully at customers and you will see them. Do both and you will understand them. ~ Ron Kaufman
Service To Mankind quotes by Ron Kaufman
It was too much for Adolf Hitler. In the summer of 1944, he began to vent his anger at the Luftwaffe for its failures from the Battle of Britain to Stalingrad and now Normandy. 'Goering! The Luftwaffe's doing nothing,' he railed at the Reichsmarschall during one conference. 'It's no longer worthy to be an independent service. And that's your fault. You're lazy.' Tears rolled down the Reichsmarschall's cheeks. He reported himself 'sick' for future conferences and ordered his generals to deputize. ~ Richard Hargreaves
Service To Mankind quotes by Richard Hargreaves
It was my dad's idea that music is supposed to be more than simply about entertainment and making a living, but about being of service as an integral part of the consciousness of the world. In honor of him and because it's right, I use music in that light. ~ Ziggy Marley
Service To Mankind quotes by Ziggy Marley
It must be remembered that there is nothing more difficult to plan, more doubtful of success, nor more dangerous to manage than a new system. For the initiator has the enmity of all who would profit by the preservation of the old institution and merely lukewarm defenders in those who gain by the new ones. ~ Niccolo Machiavelli
Service To Mankind quotes by Niccolo Machiavelli
Character is like 'Structural Integrity' in the field of engineering.
A construction is believed to have structural integrity when it can withstand 'impact' from anywhere and anything, functioning adequately for its desired purposes and service life, until a physical collapse proves otherwise.
'Integrity' springs from the original Latin root 'integrum', which means "Intact".
A man has INTEGRITY when he remains INTACT, despite the IMPACT of forces that seek to sidetrack him.
He will never confuse "what is" with "what ought to be", EVEN WHEN "what is" will work in his favour.
A man who will choose, not what the world forces his hands to choose, but what aligns with his destiny and will propel him to become what he is meant to become.
Such men are few, such men should be me and you. ~ Olaotan Fawehinmi
Service To Mankind quotes by Olaotan Fawehinmi
ORITAXI is initiative of Darshan Holidays, which provide Cabs Service in Bhubaneswar and Taxi Services in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. To Book a Cab, Car hiring for Pick/Drop or other travelling. ~ Anil Kumar
Service To Mankind quotes by Anil Kumar
If I were to give a summary of the tendency of our times, I would say, Quantity. The multitude, the mass spirit, dominates everywhere, destroying quality. Our entire life
production, politics, and education
rests on quantity, on numbers. The worker who once took pride in the thoroughness and quality of his work, has been replaced by brainless, incompetent automatons, who turn out enormous quantities of things, valueless to themselves, and generally injurious to the rest of mankind. Thus quantity, instead of adding to life's comforts and peace, has merely increased man's burden. ~ Emma Goldman
Service To Mankind quotes by Emma Goldman
In charity to all mankind, bearing no malice or ill will to any human being, and even compassionating those who hold in bondage their fellow men, not knowing what they do. ~ John Quincy Adams
Service To Mankind quotes by John Quincy Adams
I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. I helped purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown Brothers in 1902-1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested. Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents. ~ Smedley D. Butler
Service To Mankind quotes by Smedley D. Butler
The purpose of science is to develop, without prejudice or preconception of any kind, a knowledge of the facts, the laws, and the processes of nature. The even more important task of religion, on the other hand, is to develop the consciences, the ideals, and the aspirations of mankind. ~ Robert Andrews Millikan
Service To Mankind quotes by Robert Andrews Millikan
For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God. From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. ~ Anonymous
Service To Mankind quotes by Anonymous
There is a dark side to religious devotion that is too often ignored or denied. As a means of motivating people to be cruel or inhumane, there may be no more potent force than religion. When the subject of religiously inspired bloodshed comes up, many Americans immediately think of Islamic fundamentalism, which is to be expected in the wake of 911. But men have been committing heinous acts in the name of God ever since mankind began believing in deities, and extremists exist within all religions. Muhammad is not the only prophet whose words have been used to sanction barbarism; history has not lacked for Christians, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs, and even Buddhists who have been motivated by scripture to butcher innocents. Plenty of these religious extremist have been homegrown, corn-fed Americans. ~ Jon Krakauer
Service To Mankind quotes by Jon Krakauer
There are two ways to improve your service, and yourself: maximize your strengths and minimize your weaknesses. ~ Ron Kaufman
Service To Mankind quotes by Ron Kaufman
Yesterday I was stupid, so I wanted to change the world. Today, I am more stupid, so I am changing the world. And tomorrow there will be a hundred more stupid like me, for this stupidity for changing the world can never accept any excuse for inaction, even if that excuse happens to be a most rational reason. ~ Abhijit Naskar
