With action experience grows, with travel outlooks grow, and with reflections wisdom grows. ~ Debasish Mridha
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Debasish Mridha
The most evocative life memories, which produced a synesthesia of emotions, consist of a host of small pleasures intertwined with the homespun stitches of love, affection, kindness, humility, and appreciation of nature. ~ Kilroy J. Oldster
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Kilroy J. Oldster
Master the chaos within yourself and I promise you, you will gain the strength to withstand any storm. ~ Nikki Rowe
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Nikki Rowe
To understand yourself, try to understand a flower and then emulate it. ~ Debasish Mridha
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Debasish Mridha
Wisdom I know is social. She seeks her fellows. But Beauty is jealous, and illy bears the presence of a rival. ~ Thomas Jefferson
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Thomas Jefferson
Right now, in this moment, your soul has again created opportunity for you to be, do, and have what it takes to know Who You Really Are. Your soul has brought you to the words you are reading right now-as it has brought you to words of wisdom and truth before. What will you do now? What will you choose to be? Your soul waits, and watches with interest, as it has many times before. ~ Neale Donald Walsch
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Neale Donald Walsch
The Child, the Lord Jesus Christ ... Word in our flesh, Wisdom in infancy, Power in weakness, and in true Man, the Lord of Majesty. ~ Pope Leo I
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Pope Leo I
Man is a mystery. It needs to be unravelled, and if you spend your whole life unravelling it, don't say that you've wasted time. I am studying that mystery because I want to be a human being. ~ Fyodor Dostoyevsky
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
And I think it was a great Frenchman, Voltaire, who said that the beginning of wisdom is the moment when one understands how little concerned with one's own life are other men, they who are so desperately preoccupied with their own. I knew nothing about you and that boy, nothing at all. ~ William Styron
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by William Styron
They asked a wise man: Why don't we ever hear you backbiting and slandering?

He said: I'm still not happy with myself to start with others. ~ Ahmad Musa Jibril
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Ahmad Musa Jibril
There's also a way that you have of being precise but also allusive, that works well for me - it's something about the open-hearted way you frame your queries. Instead of feeling daunted or discouraged, I feel excited to give whatever it is a try. This takes a lot of editorial wisdom and confidence - to know just how to get the writer to take that extra chance. ~ George Saunders
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by George Saunders
You don't need anyone's approval when it comes to your dream because the dream giver [God]is already approved it that moment He chose you to carry it.The only thing you can do is to remember that you are in the driving seat and you must keep driving until you reach your destination. ~ Euginia Herlihy
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Euginia Herlihy
WISDOM - The ability to accept our limitations and learn from the viewpoints of others ~ Kamil Ali
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Kamil Ali
The key to wisdom is this
constant and frequent questioning ... for by doubting we are led to question and by questioning we arrive at the truth. ~ Pierre Abelard
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Pierre Abelard
The only reason I am living is to express my love for you and for the universe. ~ Debasish Mridha
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Debasish Mridha
To every corner of the planet, to the young and old, to all humanity. I see your beauty. I really do. ~ Nurudeen Ushawu
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Nurudeen Ushawu
Just because something is familiar, doesn't mean it's safe. And just because something feels safe, doesn't mean it's good for you. ~ Brittany Burgunder
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Brittany Burgunder
The difference between the Sophist and the ignorant (or stupid) is not the difference between an intentional error (into which one falls in order to trip up one's adversary) and an unintentional error (of which both interlocutors are victims). The Sophist should not be interpreted as someone who uses error as a trap and uses faulty reasoning as a crafty weapon. He occupies a different dimension from that of true or faulty reasoning; he is on the side of the semblance of reasoning. He occupies the dimension of shadow and reflection; he occupies a reasoning mirage, but he does not really reason. And this invalidation, produced not by error but by semblance, affects not only the Sophist's reasoning moreover, it affects all his wisdom, his sophia. ~ Michel Foucault
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Michel Foucault
In 2017, I was invited to lead a mindfulness workshop and guide a live meditation on Mingus Mountain, Arizona, to over 100 men and women at a recovery retreat. On the eve of my workshop, I had the opportunity to join in a men's twelve-step meeting, which took place by the campfire in Prescott National Park Forest, with at least 40 men recovering from childhood grief and trauma. The meeting grounded us in what was a large retreat with many unfamiliar faces. I was the only mixed-race Brit, surrounded by mostly white middle-class American men (baby boomers and Generation X), yet our common bond of validating each other's wounds in recovery utterly transcended any differences of nationality, race and heritage. We shared our pain and hope in a non-shaming environment, listening and allowing every man to have his say without interruption. At the end of the meeting we stood up in a large circle and recited the serenity prayer:

"God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can, and the wisdom to know that one is me".

After the meeting closed, I felt that I belonged and I was enthusiastic about the retreat, even though I was thousands of miles away from England. ~ Christopher Dines
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Christopher Dines
This land, which we have watered with our tears and our blood, is now our mother country, and we are well satisfied to stay where wisdom abounds and gospel is free. ~ Richard V. Allen
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Richard V. Allen
Fear and paranoia create many of our worldly struggles. We get something in our minds and our distorted perception sculpts the reality of what we see. Even though what we see isn't really there, we tend to act as if it is. We then begin to put people and things into boxes, labeling them, and limiting them due to our fears. ~ Alaric Hutchinson
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Alaric Hutchinson
I spent as much time as I could with Ghosh. I wanted every bit of wisdom he could impart to me. All sons should write down every word of what their fathers have to say to them. I tried. Why did it take an illness for me to recognize the value of time with him? It seems we humans never learn. And so we relearn the lesson every generation and then want to write epistles. We proselytize to our friends and shake them by the shoulders and tell them, "Seize the day! What matters is THIS moment!" Most of us can't go back and make restitution. We can't do a thing about our should haves and our could haves. But a few lucky men like Ghosh never have such worries; there was no restitution he needed to make, no moment he failed to seize.
Now and then Ghosh would grin and wink at me across the room. He was teaching me how to die, just as he'd taught me how to live. ~ Abraham Verghese
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Abraham Verghese
Being creative, joyful, happy, and beloved are the ultimate purposes of a profound life. ~ Debasish Mridha
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Debasish Mridha
If the glare of the public eye has become unbearable, our inner child may claim its rights and our bodily shadow might turn into our mental second self, become our anchor, make us stay grounded and grant us deepness and intensity. By retreating from the blaze of display into our substantial self, we gain rootedness, insight and new worldly wisdom. ("Not without my shadow") ~ Erik Pevernagie
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Erik Pevernagie
Being born in a place is only one way to belong, nor do you have to die there....

I knew at once that Magdala was home because I felt sighted there again, second sighted. It was not only the spring. In time everything spoke.

When birds rose into the air, I could read the pattern of their wings, and the path the wind made on the water carried messages. The very ground said make a path here, plant herbs there. These vine are not dead. Tend them and they'll bear fruit again.

Ancient trees offered shelter and wisdom as well as olives. And there were certain rocks that could absorb fatigue or agitation, leaving me refreshed and calm. ~ Elizabeth Cunningham
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Elizabeth Cunningham
The soul wants what it wants and the heart just has to live with it. ~ Angel M.B. Chadwick
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Angel M.B. Chadwick
There is no fear in love. Live with the foundation of LOVE in your heart and you will become FEARLESS. ~ Molly Friedenfeld
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Molly Friedenfeld
For when God said, "Let there be light, and there was light," if we are justified in understanding in this light the creation of the angels, then certainly they were created partakers of the eternal light which is the unchangeable Wisdom of God, by which all things were made, and whom we call the only-begotten Son of God. ~ Saint Augustine
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Saint Augustine
When you blow up a major life situation, as I did on two fronts before leaving Richmond, the explosion can leave a hole in your psyche. Nature abhors a vacuum, however, and over time the crater is almost certain to fill in with new wisdom -- or fresh folly. Sometimes it can be a challenge to tell the difference. ~ Tom Robbins
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Tom Robbins
The truth is you can learn to love unconditionally and, in the process, open up your own intuition to heights you may never before have deemed imaginable. ~ Catherine Carrigan
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Catherine Carrigan
Most are deceived by and drawn to behavior and things that seem right, good, and wise but are contrary to His wisdom. ~ John Bevere
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by John Bevere
Epicurus is right, that happiness is up at auction all the time, and sold in lots to suit the purchaser whenever he bids high enough. And the price is not exorbitant: prudence to plan for the simple pleasures that can be had for the asking; resolution to cut off the pleasures that come too high; determination to amputate our reflections the instant they develop morbid symptoms, and to take an anti-toxine against fret and worry, the moment we feel the approach of their contagious atmosphere; concentration, to live in a self-chosen present from which profitless regret and unprofitable anxieties, projected from the past or borrowed from the future, are absolutely banished. ~ William De Witt Hyde
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by William De Witt Hyde
Life after love was possible. I was proof. Loss taught you about yourself, burrowed in the dark parts of your soul and ate you from the inside out. ~ Hailey Edwards
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Hailey Edwards
Genuine wit implies no small amount of wisdom and culture. ~ Moses Harvey
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Moses Harvey
Trusting in Something Other Than God Another way you Edge God Out is when you trust in something other than the character and unconditional love of God as your source of security and self-worth. When you put your sense of security and self-worth in your intellect, your position, your performance, your possessions, or your business and personal contacts, you're counting on things that are at-risk and temporary. Instead, you must place your trust in that which is sure and eternal: God's care for you and the wisdom He provides about living in harmony with the rest of His creation. ~ Kenneth H. Blanchard
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Kenneth H. Blanchard
Modern man may assert that he can dispense with them, and he may bolster his opinion by insisting that there is no scientific evidence of their truth. But since we are dealing with invisible and unknowable things (for God is beyond human understanding, and there is no mean of proving immortality), why should we bother with evidence? ~ Carl Jung
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Carl Jung
..:Seek wisdom about the good life, yet, remain innocent when it comes to evil… Pursue a life that creates peace and builds up our brothers and sisters…
Seek not your own rewards nor benefits by doing so… For what good would there be in doing this???
Welcome all people, whether weak in faith or spirit without debaiting and disputing their opinions… Build them up…
Get rid off umpleasant old memories and negative habits… It's time to clean up and renew your mind set… It's time to start flying high once again or for the very first time…
The view at the top its a lot better, yet, the in between process is what makes it sweeter and a lot better if we truly learn while at it…
Remember, what you are constantly thinking of, that, you will eventually will become… Have a great and awesome day…
<> Preach and reach where no one else has before nor dares to go… Make the difference today… But most importantly, live what you preach and preach what you live:.. ~ Rafael Garcia
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Rafael Garcia
We are all half fool, half wise , there is no wisdom without foolishness and no pride without shame . ~ Elif Shafak
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Elif Shafak
We change our past by letting it go and by changing our perception about it. ~ Debasish Mridha
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Debasish Mridha
A little caring, a little love, and a little kindness can give you joy and bring enduring happiness. ~ Debasish Mridha
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Debasish Mridha
I'm not an advocate of promiscuity; but then I'm also not an advocate of being virginal. It's not like I put virginity or celibacy on a pedestal, and as long as I don't get your promiscuity rubbed into my face - I don't care about it! What I do care about is the ability to recognize the sanctity of a union of two souls - you just can't say your soul isn't being united with others' when you have sex with them. So I think you'd better own up to what you're doing - no matter how frequently or infrequently or with how many different people you do it. I mean, make good choices! You are, after all, entwining your soul with another's. ~ C. JoyBell C.
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by C. JoyBell C.
When you've got everything and think you've got nothing you've actually got less ~ Benny Bellamacina
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Benny Bellamacina
Not many are the moments in life, where the easiest choice also happens to be the best one.
Cherish and remember those moments, but do not let them become a habit, for the fruits that hard work reaps are irreplaceable. ~ Rosen Topuzov
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Rosen Topuzov
Central banks don't have divine wisdom. They try to do the best analysis they can and must be prepared to stand or fall by the quality of that analysis. ~ Mary Kay Ash
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Mary Kay Ash
She had stumbled on what was possibly the ultimate truth, the greatest wisdom of all - the search for knowledge never ends. It goes on and on forever. ~ Michael Oehley
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Michael Oehley
There is no reason good enough for us to ever be out of alignment with Peace, and there is no reason good enough for us to ever be out of alignment with Love. ~ Alaric Hutchinson
Reflections And Wisdom quotes by Alaric Hutchinson
