Dreaming of being on Moon cannot get you there. It requires a focused & intelligent effort to achieve what you Dream. ~ Neelesh V. Sakhardande
People Productivity quotes by Neelesh V. Sakhardande
If you consistently and persistently do the things that other successful people do, nothing in the world can stop you from being a big success also. ~ Brian Tracy
People Productivity quotes by Brian Tracy
When it comes to seeking a change of heart, our starting place must include our present situation, with the people we live with right here and now. It is with these very people that we must learn to forgo all taking of offense. ~ C. Terry Warner
People Productivity quotes by C. Terry Warner
Sometimes, marriages fail because people are immature, or because expectations are unrealistic on both sides. Sometimes people die because they have incurable diseases, not because their families turned to the wrong doctor or waited too long to go to the hospital. Sometimes business fail because economic conditions or powerful competition doom them, not because one person in charge made a wrong decision in a crucial moment. If we want to be able to pick up the pieces of our lives and go on living, we have to get over the irrational feeling that every misfortune is our fault, the direct result of our mistakes or misbehaviour. We are really not that powerful. Not everything that happens in the world is our doing. ~ Harold S. Kushner
People Productivity quotes by Harold S. Kushner
Most of what's known about religious practices in pre-Hispanic Mexico has come to us through a Catholic parish priest named Hernando Ruiz de Alarcón, one of the few who ever became fluent in the Nahuatl language. He spent the 1620s writing his "Treatise on the Superstitions and Heathen Customs that Today Live Among the Indians Native to This New Spain". He'd originally meant it to be something of a "field guide to the heathens" to help priests recognize and exterminate indigenous religious rites and their practitioners. In the process of his documentation, though, it's clear from his writings that Father Ruiz de Alarcón grew sympathetic. He was particularly fascinated with how Nahuatl people celebrated the sacred in ordinary objects, and encouraged living and spirit realities to meet up in the here and now. He noted that the concept of "death" as an ending did not exactly exist for them. When Aztec people left their bodies, they were presumed to be on an exciting trip through the ether. It wasn't something to cry about, except that the living still wanted to visit with them. People's sadness was not for the departed, but for themselves, and could be addressed through ritual visiting called Xantolo, an ordinary communion between the dead and the living. Mexican tradition still holds that Xantolo is always present in certain places and activities, including marigold fields, the cultivation of corn, the preparation of tamales and pan de muerto. Interestingly, farmers' markets ar ~ Barbara Kingsolver

Obviously songs and musicians mean a lot to people. ~ Stephen Malkmus
People Productivity quotes by Stephen Malkmus
People accept a representation in which the elements of wish and fantasy are purposely included but which nevertheless proclaims to represent "the past" and to serve as a guide-rule for life, thereby hopelessly confusing the spheres of knowledge and will. ~ Johan Huizinga
People Productivity quotes by Johan Huizinga
I'm happiest with people who've gotten furthest from traditional ideas of nationalism. ~ William Gibson
People Productivity quotes by William Gibson
And you know, you really have made your point with Aaron and Mia. You don't have to keep him around to keep hanging out with the royals."
"Why do I keep getting the feeling you don't like him anymore?"
"I like him okay - which is about as much as you like him. And I don't think you should get hot and sweaty with people you only like 'okay'."
Lissa widened her eyes in pretend astonishment. "Is this Rose Hathaway talking? Have you reformed? Or do you have someone you like 'more than okay'?"
"Hey" I said uncomfortably, "I'm just looking out for you. That, and I never noticed how boring Aaron is before."
She scoffed. "You think everyone's boring."
"Christian isn't. ~ Richelle Mead
People Productivity quotes by Richelle Mead
You pick people, and they pick you sometimes. It's especially great to connect with people you think you have nothing in common with. ~ Aleksandra Mir
People Productivity quotes by Aleksandra Mir
When small people start casting big shadows it is time for sunset. ~ Mayank Chhaya
People Productivity quotes by Mayank Chhaya
Perhaps I should go back a few years earlier. My parents, who travelled from Odessa, the Russian city on the Black Sea, shortly before the 1914 war, were part of a vast migration of Jews fleeing Tsarist oppression to the dream of America that obsessed poor men all over Europe. The tailors thought of it as a place where people had, maybe, three, four different suits to wear. Glaziers grew dizzy with excitement reckoning up the number of windows in even one little skyscraper. Cobblers counted twelve million feet, a shoe on each. There was gold in the streets for all trades; a meat dinner every single day. And Freedom. That was not something to be sneezed at, either.

But my parents never got to America. ~ Emanuel Litvinoff
People Productivity quotes by Emanuel Litvinoff
Most people say they want justice, but they don't really want justice. They want revenge. They want to see the pain spread around equally. ~ David Gerrold
People Productivity quotes by David Gerrold
I have great respect for people who are in the front lines and the trenches of trying to enact social change. I am far lazier than that. ~ Jon Stewart
People Productivity quotes by Jon Stewart
God wants to save us in a people. He does not want to save us in isolation. And so today's church more than ever is accentuating the idea of being a people. The church therefore experiences conflicts, because it does not want a mass; it wants a people. A mass is a heap of persons, the drowsier the better, the more compliant the better. The church rejects communism's slander that it is the opium of the people. It has no intention of being the people's opium. Those that create drowsy masses are others. The church wants to rouse men and women to the true meaning of being a people. What is a people? A people is a community of persons where all cooperate for the common good. ~ Oscar A. Romero
People Productivity quotes by Oscar A. Romero
This is really hard to do but I'd like to change the tone now and briefly mention today's terrible tragedy in France. Twelve people were killed because a satirical newspaper made jokes that some group found offensive. All of us are accustomed to bad news from around the world. But this story hits home for anybody who mocks anyone. ~ Conan O'Brien
People Productivity quotes by Conan O'Brien
Why wasn't he arrested?" "He was, but they couldn't convict him. Don't ask me why. Ask the politicians that ran the cops in New York and Jersey and Cleveland and the other places. Ask the people that voted for the politicians. ~ Ross Macdonald
People Productivity quotes by Ross Macdonald
I'm a sexual person. A lot of different people turn me on and have over the years, and I've always wanted to make it very clear that this was not coming from some sort of antimale point of view. ~ Sandra Bernhard
People Productivity quotes by Sandra Bernhard
My friends and I took songwriting very, very seriously. My hero was and still is Bob Dylan, but also people like Leonard Cohen and Joni Mitchell and that whole generation. ~ Kazuo Ishiguro
People Productivity quotes by Kazuo Ishiguro
Ultimately, the controversy around PETA may have less to do with the organization than with those of us who stand in judgment of it - that is, with the unpleasant realization that "those PETA people" have stood up for the values we have been too cowardly or forgetful to defend ourselves. ~ Jonathan Safran Foer
People Productivity quotes by Jonathan Safran Foer
She looked up at him, wondering when it was that this man, her brother, had become so wise. If he'd yelled one more word, spent one more minute speaking to her in that mocking voice, she would have broke. She would have broke, or she would have hardened, but either way, something between them would have been ruined.
But here he was, Anthony of all people, who was arrogant and proud and every inch the arch nobleman he'd been born to be, kneeling at her side, placing his hand on hers, and speaking with a kindness that nearly broke her heart. ~ Julia Quinn
People Productivity quotes by Julia Quinn
The lesson here is clear: If you want people to understand that you value their contributions and that they are important, the recognition and praise you provide must have meaning that is specific to each individual. ~ Tom Rath
People Productivity quotes by Tom Rath
The first thing you should know about me is when I was three years old my mother left me and my father. And that was traumatic obviously for my father - he suffered a nervous breakdown at that time in his life. ~ Robert Carlyle
People Productivity quotes by Robert Carlyle
When people go away they vanish, turn to nothing, stop being. They live only in memories, haunting the imagination. ~ Dezso Kosztolanyi
People Productivity quotes by Dezso Kosztolanyi
She herself was a victim of that lust for books which rages in the breast like a demon, and which cannot be stilled save by the frequent and plentiful acquisition of books. This passion is more common, and more powerful, than most people suppose. Book lovers are thought by unbookish people to be gentle and unworldly, and perhaps a few of them are so. But there are others who will lie and scheme and steal to get books as wildly and unconscionably as the dope-taker in pursuit of his drug. They may not want the books to read immediately, or at all; they want them to possess, to range on their shelves, to have at command. ~ Robertson Davies
People Productivity quotes by Robertson Davies
There's gratification in making somebody laugh. It's a wonderful sound. I find myself, to this day, doing it, wanting to make people laugh. ~ Bob Newhart
People Productivity quotes by Bob Newhart
Very few people run around and get amnesia and have comas and come out of them and do all the silly of people have strokes and have comas and come out of them and do all the silly things we do on soaps. ~ Erika Slezak
People Productivity quotes by Erika Slezak
It distresses me when I take my seven-year-old nephew out. I cook healthy food, and he wants to go to McDonald's. He doesn't even like the food; he just wants the toys, the Happy Meals. I can't stand to see people walking down the street eating fast food. ~ Julia Sawalha
People Productivity quotes by Julia Sawalha
You understand people better if you look at them-no matter how old or impressive or important they may be-as if they were children. For most men never mature; they simply grow taller. ~ Leo Rosten
People Productivity quotes by Leo Rosten
I'm not sure if there's one right place I'm supposed to be, he said, but I know a couple of wrong places I'd give a second try in a heartbeat. ~ Brian Andreas
People Productivity quotes by Brian Andreas
Happiness is a different thing altogether. If you try to achieve it, you have every chance of failing. And besides, how would you ever know that you'd achieved it? Of course one can't blame people, especially unhappy people, for wanting to be happier and setting themselves goals in order to try to escape from their unhappiness. ~ Francois Lelord
People Productivity quotes by Francois Lelord
It is time we realize that belief is not a private matter. As a man believes, so he will act. Believe that you are a member of a chosen people, awash in the salacious exports of an evil culture that is turning your children away from God, believe that you will be rewarded with an eternity of unimaginable delights by dealing death to these infidels - and flying a plane into a building is only a matter of being asked to do it. ~ Sam Harris
People Productivity quotes by Sam Harris
The way people behave is usually just a reflection of where they are in their journey of consciousness, what their own experiences thus far have been. We do not have to react to them, we can simply move to our own level of understanding. By observing others, we can also reflect upon our selves, and out own ways of being. ~ Julia Woodman
People Productivity quotes by Julia Woodman
You must look for the good in people to have more of it appear. As you look only for the good things in a person, you will be amazed at what your new focus reveals. ~ Rhonda Byrne
People Productivity quotes by Rhonda Byrne
People who are insecure about themselves will avoid social comparisons that are potentially threatening to their self-esteem ~ Albert Bandura
People Productivity quotes by Albert Bandura
May I suggest that people in many African countries could be suffering from donation fatigue? ~ Nicky Oppenheimer
People Productivity quotes by Nicky Oppenheimer
It does not matter what you know about anything if you cannot communicate to your people. In that event, you are not even a failure. You're just not there. ~ Saul Alinsky
People Productivity quotes by Saul Alinsky
I'm experiencing the mood to go out and share the music. I don't look at these concerts as a platform for people to watch me, look at me. No, a tour is about an interaction. A thing, myself, a band, and the people who support what I do and enjoy what I do. ~ Lenny Kravitz
People Productivity quotes by Lenny Kravitz
The people that lend you money basically give you an answer based on the risk that they are willing to take. But just because a bank is willing to take a particular risk doesn't mean that that is the right amount for me to spend. ~ Dan Ariely
People Productivity quotes by Dan Ariely
Even if we're not doing anything wrong, there are certain things we want to do that we don't think can withstand the scrutinizing eye of other people. And those are often the most important things that we do. The things we do when other people are watching are things that are conformist, obedient, normal, and unnotable. ~ Glenn Greenwald
People Productivity quotes by Glenn Greenwald
Many people strive for success in order to find happiness when, in fact, the inverse is true. Strive for happiness and you shall find success. ~ Steve Maraboli
People Productivity quotes by Steve Maraboli
In the novelist's profession, as far as I'm concerned, there's no such thing as winning or losing. Maybe numbers of copies sold, awards won, and critics' praise serve as outward standards for accomplishment in literature, but none of them really matter. What's crucial is whether your writing attains the standards you've set for yourself. Failure to reach that bar is not something you can easily explain away. When it comes to other people, you can always come up with a reasonable explanation, but you can't fool yourself. In this sense, writing novels and running full marathons are very much alike. ~ Haruki Murakami
People Productivity quotes by Haruki Murakami
Rich or poor, living in a trusting society simply makes people happier. ~ Paul J. Zak
People Productivity quotes by Paul J. Zak
If you try to assert wisdom before people have themselves walked it, be prepared for much resistance, denial, push-back, and verbal debate. ~ Richard Rohr
People Productivity quotes by Richard Rohr
Every little thing makes a difference, whether you decide it yourself or whether it's pure accident. So many people have had the whole course of their lives changed by something perfectly simple like, let's say, crossing the street at one point instead of another."
"Yes, yes, yes, I know," Stenham said with exaggerated weariness. "As far as I'm concerned that's just as boring, and a lot more false, by the way. The point I'm trying to make is that he loves his world of Koranic law because it's his, and at the same time he hates it because his intuition tells him it's at the end of its rope. He can't expect anything more from it. And our world, he hates that too, just on general principles, and yet it's his only hope, the only way out - if there is one for him personally, which I doubt. ~ Paul Bowles
