You should never ask anyone for anything. Never- and especially from those who are more powerful than yourself. ~ Mikhail Bulgakov
Margarita quotes by Mikhail Bulgakov
I am alone
and my heart
is my own.

Loneliness.
Solitude.
The first is a curse,
the second a blessing.
I would rather be a hermit
than live with a stranger
who would make me feel
even more lonely
than when I am
truly
alone. ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
Is there any way that two people from faraway places can ever really understand each other's daydrems? ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
How can people stay sane in a world that makes no sense? ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
And although Margarita lived in a world that predated Technicolor, she always dreamed of the boy in rich pastels. ~ Salvador Plascencia
Margarita quotes by Salvador Plascencia
We're going down to the Margarita Grill to smell the lobster, then we're going to watch the sunrise, and in between we'll probably have hot, unsafe animal sex. ~ Darynda Jones
Margarita quotes by Darynda Jones
Danger is a chain ... passed from one wounded child to the next. We must stop the danger by breaking the chain. We must learn how to stay safe and be kind. ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
What more do I need?
I don't know how my book
will end.
All I know is that love
is not the modern invention
of rebellious young girls.
Love is ancient.
A legend.
The truth. ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
It sucks, but no Long Islands or margaritas when you drink. It has to be straight vodka. ~ Nicole Polizzi
Margarita quotes by Nicole Polizzi
No matter how invisible
I feel, I will always be wrapped
in the memory
of life as a captive.
- Quebrado ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
I shall sit down,' replied the cat, sitting down, 'but I shall enter an objection with regard to your last. My speeches in no way resemble verbal muck, as you have been pleased to put it in the presence of a lady, but rather a sequence of tightly packed syllogisms, the merit of which would be appreciated by such connoisseurs as Sextus Empiricus, Martianus Capella, and, for all I know, Aristotle himself.'
Your king is in check,' said Woland.
Very well, very well,' responded the cat, and he began studying the chessboard through his opera glasses.
And so, donna,' Woland addressed Margarita, 'I present to you my retinue. This one who is playing the fool is the cat Behemoth ... ~ Mikhail Bulgakov
Margarita quotes by Mikhail Bulgakov
Like King Midas, I am left with nothing
but this unreasonable hope
that, somehow, my strange life
and my lost family
will return
to normal. ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
I'm Russian Jewish. And I had to grow up really quickly. ~ Margarita Levieva
Margarita quotes by Margarita Levieva
For one week, all I could think about was drinking margaritas
well, that and running my tongue along Reyes's teeth
but I didn't have salt
or Reyes's teeth. I'd also lacked the energy to leave my apartment to get some
or the desire to stoop low enough to beg Reyes to let me lick his teeth after what he did
so I could only wish for a margarita. And dream of Reyes's teeth.
I'd secretly hoped a margarita would magically appear in my hand, but that would mean I would have to put down the remote, and God knew that was not going to happen. ~ Darynda Jones
Margarita quotes by Darynda Jones
Mrs. Goldenthal's twin boys, Alex and Erno, were our age, and I discovered that they had been selected at Auschwitz for Mengele's experiments like us. Mrs. Goldenthan had stayed with them, and I found out later that she had hidden a younger child, Margarita, underneath her long skirt. She had come into the camp with the child hidden in her dress and during her entire stay there, even in the Nazi barracks where she had kept Margarita under the mattress during inspections, she and the other women had helped conceal the child. ~ Eva Mozes Kor
Margarita quotes by Eva Mozes Kor
I think of my feather pen
as something magical
that still belongs
to a wing.

All I need
is paper, ink,
and the courage
to let wild words soar. ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
Marriage without love is just one more twisted form of slavery. ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
I grew up in communist Russia where we didn't have anything, so I'm not worried that I can't buy an extra pair of shoes. ~ Margarita Levieva
Margarita quotes by Margarita Levieva
I wish
I was a spicy margarita
so I could be
adored
by you
forever, often
and abundantly. ~ Atticus Poetry
Margarita quotes by Atticus Poetry
I feel certain that words
can be as human
as people,
alive
with the breath
of compassion. ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
My doctor was like, 'Any questions?' And I was like, 'Yes! When can I drink please?!' I just want a margarita. ~ Keira Knightley
Margarita quotes by Keira Knightley
Oona stopped trusting the mirror years ago. After all it told only a sliver of the story. The mirror exposed time's passage, yes, but eclipsed her heart's true mileage. Each year the body was hers but her mind was out of sync with her reflection. ~ Margarita Montimore
Margarita quotes by Margarita Montimore
A few years ago, I graduated college, diploma in one hand, margarita in the other, completely oblivious to the shit storm that was coming my way. Here's a preview: becoming a living, breathing, job-having, bill-paying, responsible adult? Really fucking difficult. ~ Alida Nugent
Margarita quotes by Alida Nugent
In order to be in control, you have to have a definite plan for at least a reasonable period of time. So how, may I ask, can man be in control if he can't even draw up a plan for a ridiculously short period of time, say, a thousand years, and is, moreover, unable to ensure his own safety for even the next day? ~ Mikhail Bulgakov
Margarita quotes by Mikhail Bulgakov
Margarita was never short of money. She could buy whatever she liked. Her husband had plenty of interesting friends. Margarita never had to cook. Margarita knew nothing of the horrors of living in a shared flat. In short ... was she happy? Not for a moment. ~ Mikhail Bulgakov
Margarita quotes by Mikhail Bulgakov
At night, forgotten words tried to reach me. I listened with my skin. Words tore my skin off, crept inside me, and nestled down. I was a mass of wounds. When I opened my mouth in front of the mirror, beasts lay asleep in my throat; they'd made it their home. ~ Margarita Karapanou
Margarita quotes by Margarita Karapanou
Take every birthday with a grain of salt. This works much better if the salt accompanies a large margarita ~ Maxine
Margarita quotes by Maxine
I envy the trees that grow at crossroads. They are never forced to decide which way to go ... ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
I'm not an insecure person, per se, but I just never saw myself as the girl who walks into a place and everybody goes, 'Wow.' ~ Margarita Levieva
Margarita quotes by Margarita Levieva
The Little War?
How can there be
a little war?
Are some deaths
smaller than others,
leaving mothers
who weep
a little less? ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
It's a sight I plan to remember, this spontaneous unity when faced with disaster. ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
But love
is a wildly
unpredictable
hurricane wind,
not a swirling
blue ocean
with peaceful
shores. ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
I freed myself in order to be alone. For me freedom means solitude, a solitude full of walks in the country, solitary strolls through unfamiliar cities, books scattered around my bed at night, lying open at random pages. ~ Margarita Karapanou
Margarita quotes by Margarita Karapanou
How long will it be until the two countries I love forgive each other and move on ... I'm not even sure what there is to forgive. Something about Cuba seizing ownership of oil refineries. It's all so confusing. Why should something as ugly as oil affect friendships between nations? ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
It had become a chimney poking from a vertical universe of bookshelves.
There was motion below her. There were people on the shelves.
They clung to the edges of the cases and moved across them in expert scuttles. They wore ropes and hooks and carried picks on which they sometimes hung. Dangling from straps they carried notebooks, pens, magnifying glasses, ink pads, and stamps.
The men and women took books from the shelves as they went, checked their details, leaning against their ropes, replaced them, pulled out little pads and made notes, sometimes carried the books with them to another place and reshelved it there.

I'm Margarita Staples. She bowed in her harness. 'Extreme librarian. Bookaneer. ~ China Mieville
Margarita quotes by China Mieville
I have spent all my years
accepting sad truths.
- Quebrado ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
Hatred must be a hard thing to learn. ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
Well, look at it this way," Robin reasoned as I sat with him and Geoff at their kitchen table that night, half-plastered from the pitcher of margarita they'd blended up. Was I going to have a tequila hangover in the morning? Oh, honey, you bet your sweet ass I was. And how many fucks did I give?
Not a one.
"Even if you were overreacting to read what you read into this guy's offer - which I don't think you were, though I doubt he actually thought it through enough to intend it to be read that way - you still have to ask yourself: What's in it for you, hanging around some motel room waiting for a married man to make a booty call? What benefit would you get out of that situation, or out of prolonging your relationship with him? He might not have meant it to be an insulting offer, but it was absolutely a one hundred percent selfish offer. There was no upside for you whatsoever, unless the sex really was just that amazing. ~ Amelia C. Gormley
Margarita quotes by Amelia C. Gormley
But would you kindly ponder this question: What would your good do if
evil didn't exist, and what would the earth look like if all the shadows
disappeared? After all, shadows are cast by things and people. Here is the
shadow of my sword. But shadows also come from trees and living beings.
Do you want to strip the earth of all trees and living things just because
of your fantasy of enjoying naked light? You're stupid. ~ Mikhail Bulgakov
Margarita quotes by Mikhail Bulgakov
That's the last time I put you in charge of the tequila when we're making margaritas ~ JoAnne Kenrick
Margarita quotes by JoAnne Kenrick
In the attempt to find the just measure of horror and terror, I came upon the writing of Carole Gill whose work revealed a whole new dimension to me. The figure of the gothic child was there. Stoker's horror was there. Along with the romance! At the heart of her writing one stumbles upon a genuine search for that darkness we lost with the loss of Stoker."

~Dr. Margarita Georgieva ~ Gothic Readings in The Dark ~ Carole Gill
Margarita quotes by Carole Gill
I believe - to the best of my recollection, anyway - that I soon made the classic error of moving from margaritas to actual shots of straight tequila. It does make it easier to meet new people. ~ Anthony Bourdain
Margarita quotes by Anthony Bourdain
Can it be true that freedom only exists when it is a treasure, shared by all? ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
That's what my perfume would smell like, margarita and vodka. ~ Chelsea Handler
Margarita quotes by Chelsea Handler
Listen to the silence,' said Margarita to the master, the sand rustling under her bare feet. 'Listen to the silence and enjoy it. Here is the peace that you never knew in your lifetime. Look, there is your home for eternity, which is your reward. I can already see a Venetian window and a climbing vine which grows right up to the roof. It's your home, your home for ever. In the evenings people will come to see you- people who interest you, people who will never upset you. They will play to you and sing to you and you will see how beautiful the room is by candlelight. You shall go to sleep with your dirty old cap on, you shall go to sleep with a smile on your lips. ~ Mikhail Bulgakov
Margarita quotes by Mikhail Bulgakov
Finished crap can be edited. Unfinished greatness languishes forever. The only bad writing is the thing you didn't write! ~ Margarita Gakis
Margarita quotes by Margarita Gakis
Why can't she see that no two people
are exactly alike? Our hearts and minds
are all different.
Only our dreams share
this same desperate need
to rise
and soar... ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
My mind soars
and whirls
in a dance
of wild fear
and graceful hope. ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
If only the peace I feel right now
could be stored up and released later
when cruelty surrounds me
in the dark
during nightmares. ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
Once upon a time there was a lady. She had no children, and no happiness either. And at first she cried for a long time, but then she became wicked ... ~ Mikhail Bulgakov
Margarita quotes by Mikhail Bulgakov
Do you want a margarita? I'm making them with Limoncello and Petron. ~ Penny Reid
Margarita quotes by Penny Reid
I open my eyes and see a head hanging upside down. Grinning at me. ~ Margarita Morris
Margarita quotes by Margarita Morris
I'm very pleased to be offered the job. I would love to work here, and I think I have a lot of to contribute. But I was hoping for $60,000." (That number allows him to find something in the middle that could still make you happy.) Then sit there with your lips tightly zipped. There's a more-than-decent chance that the person will make a counteroffer. If he says, "I can do that," great. If he offers $53,000, give it one more try. Say, "Is there any chance you can do a bit better?" He may say he'll have to get back to you. Remind him you'd love the job and tough it out (a frozen margarita that night can help!). When he comes back with $55,000 the next day, it will all be worth it. And if they insist you name a number? Be both realistic but generous to yourself, and add that you're open to discussion. ~ Kate White
Margarita quotes by Kate White
Seventh grade. Eleven years old. A bookworm-misfit with long black braids, childish white socks, pointy pink glasses, and no courage for flirting. It's doesn't take long to learn that I'm ridiculous. ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
And our marriage dissolved, like margarita salt on the tongue, leaving behind the bitter aftertaste of something that started out sweet but ended sour. ~ Tracy Brogan
Margarita quotes by Tracy Brogan
If you've been exiled, why don't you send me word of yourself? People do send word. Have you stopped loving me? No, for some reason I don't believe that. It means you were exiled and died ... Release me, then, I beg you, give me freedom to live, finally, to breathe the air! ... ' Margarita Nikolaevna answered for him herself: 'You are free ... am I holding you?' Then she objected to him: 'No, what kind of answer is that? No, go from my memory, then I'll be free ... ~ Mikhail Bulgakov
Margarita quotes by Mikhail Bulgakov
Oh, island, I adore you, but I hate you, too! You're a prison smothered in flowers, I've never been more eager to leave a place behind. I can't stand this enchantment anymore, I can't stand being bewitched like this- when I look at you, my gaze turns to nothing but a mirror of light, I'll stare at you hypnotized for ages, and when I stop I'll feel you, and when I stop feeling you I'll die. I have such a craving for ugliness and filth, for cities, streets, cars, I want to wake up in the morning and wait at a red light to cross the street. ~ Margarita Karapanou
Margarita quotes by Margarita Karapanou
When all else fails, trust the library. ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
I believe!' Margarita whispered solemnly. 'I believe! Something will happen! It cannot not happen, because for what, indeed, has lifelong torment been sent to me? I admit that I lied and deceived and lived a secret life, hidden from people, but all the same the punishment for it cannot be so cruel…Something is bound to happen, because it cannot be that anything will go on for ever… ~ Mikhail Bulgakov
Margarita quotes by Mikhail Bulgakov
I would have run away
Into the forest
To live in a nest
Made of dreams
And green leaves ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
Books are enchanted. Books help me travel.
Books help me breathe. ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
I'm reading Our Ecstatic Days, by Steve Erickson. It's an extraordinary journey and the most exciting thing I've found since The Master and Margarita, which I've read about 20 times. I like being taken away somewhere by a book. ~ Sienna Guillory
Margarita quotes by Sienna Guillory
In Latin America in general, and Cuba in particular, poets have been the inspiration behind struggles for independence, struggles for freedom of all sorts. ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
Books become my refuge. Reading keeps me hopeful. I fall in love with small poems, the shorter the better- haiku from Japan, and tiny rhymes by Emily Dickinson. ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
One of my first commercials was for a Samsung cellphone. It was made as a mini-movie. ~ Margarita Levieva
Margarita quotes by Margarita Levieva
Allie." Dean leans forward and fixes me with an eerily somber stare. "This show is fucking stupid."

"I know," I say sheepishly. "But it's addictive. Trust me, one episode of this crap and you'll be hooked."

"Sorry, baby doll, but I can pretty much guarantee that's not gonna happen."

*

Dean

It happened.

God help me. I'm into this show.

I came over tonight with the single-minded purpose of working the charm and convincing Allie to get naked with me again. Instead, I'm sipping on a margarita, I've just watched two hours' worth of a French soap opera, and now I'm texting Logan to let him know I won't make it to Malone's. Because…God help me…I want to know what happens next. ~ Elle Kennedy
Margarita quotes by Elle Kennedy
I don't usually have those 'twin experiences' that people talk about. ~ Margarita Levieva
Margarita quotes by Margarita Levieva
The Master and Margarita is my favorite. To me it's the greatest exploration of the human imagination. ~ Daniel Radcliffe
Margarita quotes by Daniel Radcliffe
Go get it over with, and I'll reward you with a cherry margarita," April says.
"With sugar rim?"
"Of course. What are we? Heathens?"
"I want two. And flan."
"Done. Now get over there. And be nice. ~ Jennifer Harlow
Margarita quotes by Jennifer Harlow
The old life is gone, my days are new,
but time is still a mystery
of wishes, and this sad, confusing fragrance.
- Rosa ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
Without even trying to be a teacher,
Fredrika is teaching us,
Showing us how to see things in new ways
Instead of always thinking
The same old thoughts
That have been passed along by strangers
Day after day, year after year
Without any spirit of amazement
Or wonder, ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
I don't want to sit around by the pool luxuriating with a margarita. That's just not what I want to do. ~ Nicolas Cage
Margarita quotes by Nicolas Cage
I sing without knowing what my song means, and whether the listening world is amazed or wounded. ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
Is that vodka?' Margarita asked weakly. The cat jumped up from its chair in indignation. 'Excuse me, your majesty,' he squeaked, 'do you think I would give vodka to a lady? That is pure spirit! ~ Mihail Bulhakov
Margarita quotes by Mihail Bulhakov
But the real triumph was reserved for Christine Daae, who had begun by singing a few passages from Romeo and Juliet. It was the first time that the young artist sang in this work of Gounod, which had not been transferred to the Opera and which was revived at the Opera Comique after it had been produced at the old Theatre Lyrique by Mme. Carvalho. Those who heard her say that her voice, in these passages, was seraphic; but this was nothing to the superhuman notes that she gave forth in the prison scene and the final trio in FAUST, which she sang in the place of La Carlotta, who was ill. No one had ever heard or seen anything like it.

Daae revealed a new Margarita that night, a Margarita of a splendor, a radiance hitherto unsuspected. The whole house went mad, rising to its feet, shouting, cheering, clapping, while Christine sobbed and fainted in the arms of her fellow-singers and had to be carried to her dressing-room.

- Chapter 2: The New Margarita, from The Phantom of the Opera ~ Gaston Leroux
Margarita quotes by Gaston Leroux
If we knew how to find
the lost, we would know
how to rediscover
the parts of our minds
left behind
in battle. ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
Shh! She said. The waiter. He's about to take their order. She leaned back and to her left, closer, closer, closer, her body like a giraffe's neck, until her chair shot out from under her and she landed on the floor. The whole restaurant turned to look. I jumped up to help. She stood up, righted the chair, and started in again. Did you see the tattoo one of them has on the inside of his arm? It looked like a roll of tape.

I took a gulp of margarita and settled into my fallback option, which was to wait her out.

Know what one of the guys at the drive-through Starbucks has on his forearm? Bernadette said. A paper clip! It used to be so daring to get a tattoo. And now people are tattooing office supplies on their bodies. You know what I say? Of course this was rhetorical. I say, dare not to get a tattoo. She turned around again, and gasped. Oh My God. It's not just any roll of tape. It's literally Scotch tape, with the green-and-black plaid. This is too hilarious. If you're going to tattoo tape on your arm, at least make it a generic old-fashioned tape dispenser! What do you think happened? Did the Staples catalogue get delivered to the tattoo parlor that day? ~ Maria Semple
Margarita quotes by Maria Semple
I'd been holding the dress up to myself and gazing at my reflection in the store's mirror. "Seth, this is just a party. And it's definitely not a dress Cinderella would wear."
"Then be Callierella," he said with a wink. "Or Calliepunzel and you can lock yourself in your bedroom until Kayden begs for you to let him in."
I had snorted a laugh. "Are you drunk? I mean, I know you had a margarita at lunch, but it usually takes a lot more for you to get tipsy."
"I'm not drunk," he said, snatching the dress from my hand. "I'm just trying to give you the fairy-tale you deserve."
"Life isn't a fairy-tale," I replied. But in the end, I bought the dress, kind of wishing it was. ~ Jessica Sorensen
Margarita quotes by Jessica Sorensen
I still think of myself
as a broken place, a drifting isle
with no home.
- Quebrado ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
Opinions. Ideas. Possibilities. So many! How can I choose? Between bursts of lightning-swift energy, I enjoy peaceful moments when the whole world seems to be a flowing river of verse and all I have to do is learn how to swim. ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
I feel like ...
the boy lost somewhere
between the torment of memory
and a few fragile shards
of hope.
~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
I wouldn't like to meet you when you've got a revolver, said Margarita with a coquettish look at Azazello. She had a passion for people who did things well. ~ Mikhail Bulgakov
Margarita quotes by Mikhail Bulgakov
My heart drums with gratitude.
My thoughts sing
with hope. ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
I'd been around other weres and never tasted a single one before Lucas passed me on the street last night. It was more than a little disconcerning. Lucas had told me it was an indication of the soul-bond I shared with him, so why could I taste Desmond? Surely it wasn't possible to be soul-bonded to two people. And why did I suddenly want a margarita? ~ Sierra Dean
Margarita quotes by Sierra Dean
When she says margarita she means daiquiri.
When she says quixotic she means mercurial.
And when she says, "I'll never speak to you again,"
she means, "Put your arms around me from behind
as I stand disconsolate at the window."

He's supposed to know that.

When a man loves a woman he is in New York and she is in Virginia
or he is in Boston, writing, and she is in New York, reading,
or she is wearing a sweater and sunglasses in Balboa Park and he
is raking leaves in Ithaca
or he is driving to East Hampton and she is standing disconsolate
at the window overlooking the bay
where a regatta of many-colored sails is going on
while he is stuck in traffic on the Long Island Expressway.

When a woman loves a man it is one ten in the morning
she is asleep he is watching the ball scores and eating pretzels
drinking lemonade
and two hours later he wakes up and staggers into bed
where she remains asleep and very warm.

When she says tomorrow she means in three or four weeks.
When she says, "We're talking about me now,"
he stops talking. Her best friend comes over and says,
"Did somebody die?"

When a woman loves a man, they have gone
to swim naked in the stream
on a glorious July day
with the sound of the waterfall like a chuckle
of water rushing over smooth rocks,
and there is nothing alien in the universe.

Ripe ~ David Lehman
Margarita quotes by David Lehman
In front of me 327 pages of the manuscript [Master and Margarita] (about 22 chapters). The most important remains - editing, and it's going to be hard. I will have to pay close attention to details. Maybe even re-write some things ... 'What's its future?' you ask? I don't know. Possibly, you will store the manuscript in one of the drawers, next to my 'killed' plays, and occasionally it will be in your thoughts. Then again, you don't know the future. My own judgement of the book is already made and I think it truly deserves being hidden away in the darkness of some chest.
[Bulgakov from Moscow to his wife on June 15 1938] ~ Mikhail Bulgakov
Margarita quotes by Mikhail Bulgakov
There's really no wrong way to use a margarita pool. ~ Will Forte
Margarita quotes by Will Forte
I like shoes," Erin argued over her enchiladas, There was a massive margarita in front of her. "No," Phoebe shot back with a grin. "You like boots, and not the cute kind. You like combat boots. The salesperson at Nordstrom nearly cried when she saw what you're wearing. ~ Lexi Blake
Margarita quotes by Lexi Blake
You still eat away at me, more and more, insatiably. I'm stupid, I let you do it. But you're stupid, too. You don't realize that by eating me you're poisoning yourself, ~ Margarita Karapanou
Margarita quotes by Margarita Karapanou
The hope that there she would manage to regain her happiness made her fearless ~ Mikhail Bulgakov
Margarita quotes by Mikhail Bulgakov
Night simply drapes itself over the day
As if someone had lowered a curtain.
The sky glitters and moves,
Filled with shooting stars and fireflies. ~ Margarita Engle
Margarita quotes by Margarita Engle
But The Master and Margarita is true to the broader sense of the novel as a freely developing form embodied in the works of Dostoevsky and Gogol, of Swift and Sterne, of Cervantes, Rabelais and Apuleius. ~ Mikhail Bulgakov
Margarita quotes by Mikhail Bulgakov
The bartender - Chip - said, "Had a few too many of my margaritas?" "The first one was too many," Holden replied, then climbed under the booth looking for the terminal. "And calling that a margarita should be illegal." "It's as margarita as it gets with rice wine and lime flavor concentrate," Chip said, sounding vaguely hurt. ~ James S.A. Corey
Margarita quotes by James S.A. Corey
Everything will turn out right, the world is built on that. ~ Mikhail Bulgakov

of peeking through any dark curtain. ~ Margarita Engle

POEM – MY AMAZING
TRAVELS
[My composition in my book Travel Memoirs with Pictures]

My very first trip I still cannot believe
Was planned and executed with such great ease.
My father, an Inspector of Schools, was such a strict man,
He gave in to my wishes when I told him of the plan.

I got my first long vacation while working as a banker
One of my co-workers wanted a travelling partner.
She visited my father and discussed the matter
Arrangements were made without any flutter.

We travelled to New York, Toronto, London, and Germany,
In each of those places, there was somebody,
To guide and protect us and to take us wonderful places,
It was a dream come true at our young ages.

We even visited Holland, which was across the Border.
To drive across from Germany was quite in order.
Memories of great times continue to linger,
I thank God for an understanding father.

That trip in 1968 was the beginning of much more,
I visited many countries afterward I am still in awe.
Barbados, Tobago, St. Maarten, and Buffalo,
Cirencester in the United Kingdom, Miami, and Orlando.

I was accompanied by my husband on many trips.
Sisters, nieces, children, grandchildren, and friends, travelled with me a bit.
Puerto Rico, Los Angeles, New York, and Hialeah,
Curacao, Caracas, Margarita, Virginia, and Anguilla.

We sailed ~ Brenda Mohammed
