So if you go to a King Tut exhibit someday and notice cracks or burn marks on the artifacts, or maybe a statue with its head glued on backward-well, sorry. that was probably our fault ~ Serpent's Shadow Rick Riordan
King Tut quotes by Serpent's Shadow Rick Riordan
Josiah became King of Judah at the age of eight. Joan of Arc led the French Army at nineteen. King Tut led all of Egypt at age nine. Age isn't everything you think it is. Your heart and your spirit speak more than a simple candle count on your birthday cake. ~Tony (Exposing ELE) ~ Rebecca Gober
King Tut quotes by Rebecca Gober
We are suffering today from a species of Christianity as dry as dust, as cold as ice, as pale as a corpse, and as dead as King Tut. We are suffering not from a lack of correct heads but of consumed hearts. ~ Vance Havner
King Tut quotes by Vance Havner
I hope you learn how to slow down and not let your life pass you by while you're watching the idiot box. Life's short, and one day you'll wake up and look in the mirror and realize you look like King Tut. ~ K. Martin Beckner

Our problems started in Dallas, when the fire-breathing sheep destroyed the King Tut exhibit. ~ Rick Riordan
King Tut quotes by Rick Riordan
I suspect people are suckers for a prick. I suspect folks just naturally go belly-up for a snob. Folks figure if a guy acts like he's King Tut and everybody else is donkey shit, he must be an aristocrat. ~ Katherine Dunn
King Tut quotes by Katherine Dunn
Of all the questions I'm asked, the most difficult is, "How does it feel to be famous?" Since I'm not, that question always catches me with a feeling of surrealism ... I've got three kids and I've changed all their diapers, and when it's two o'clock in the morning and you're changing something that's sort of special delivery with one eye open and one eye shut you don't feel famous. ~ Stephen King
King Tut quotes by Stephen King
That's what I would like to do until the end of time, to go on scribbling my articles on the third floor of the Sloan Building, in between playing tennis and drinking coffee at my other study in the Concord Avenue branch of Burger King. ~ Paul Samuelson
King Tut quotes by Paul Samuelson
The king lifted his dark brows. "This should be an interesting story. ~ S.A. Chakraborty
King Tut quotes by S.A. Chakraborty
If Real Madrid land on Manchester airport, then the airport will be surely flooded just to see one player whom fans want most. Everyone knows the name, I don't need to tell it. He is the Prince and legend of Manchester,The King and legend of Real(Madrid). 'CRISTIANO RONALDO' ~ Gary Neville
King Tut quotes by Gary Neville
abysmally beshitted. ~ Stephen King
King Tut quotes by Stephen King
Here in the labyrinth, I struggle to find words to describe what I feel. Up on the mountaintop, I knew the language to describe God: majestic, transcendent, all-powerful, heavenly Father, Lord, and King. In this vocabulary, God remains stubbornly located in a few select places, mostly in external realms above or beyond: heaven, the church, doctrine, or the sacraments. What happens in the labyrinth seems vague, perhaps even theologically elusive.

Like countless others, I have been schooled in vertical theology. Western culture, especially Western Christianity, has imprinted a certain theological template upon the spiritual imagination: God exists far off from the world and does humankind a favor when choosing to draw close. Sermons declared that God's holiness was foreign to us and sin separated us from God. Yes, humanity was made in God's image, but we had so messed things up in the Garden of Eden that any trace of God in us was obscured, if not destroyed. Whether conservative or liberal, most American churches teach some form of the idea that God exists in holy isolation, untouched by the messiness of creation, and that we, God's children, are morally and spiritually filthy, bereft of all goodness, utterly unworthy to stand before the Divine Presence. In its crudest form, the role of religion (whether through revivals, priesthood, ritual, story, sacraments, personal conversion, or morality) is to act as a holy elevator between God above and those muddling around d ~ Diana Butler Bass
King Tut quotes by Diana Butler Bass
Being needed is a great thing. Maybe the great thing. ~ Stephen King
King Tut quotes by Stephen King
There are a lot of people in the field [ of horror stories] that I do read. There is a lot of stuff that is written in this field, though, that is not very good. You just have to look for the good stuff. ~ Stephen King
King Tut quotes by Stephen King
I don't even use the stupid shampoo. ~ A.S. King
King Tut quotes by A.S. King
Everyone has an opinion, and the guy screaming for censorship may be the next guy to have his ideas cut off. ~ Richard King

King Tut quotes by King Hussein I
Did Jane tell you all she knows about bears?"
"Yes," the king replied. "Don't act like food, inexplicably double your height and weight, and play dead unless it doesn't work."
"She didn't, perhaps, mention how me might kill the beast?"
"No," Edward said. "Her information was more the useless type. ~ Cynthia Hand
King Tut quotes by Cynthia Hand
That's never going to happen. I don't function without you, you're the reason I breathe, the reason my heart takes each and every beat. I love you with every fibre of my body, you're my whole world and I don't want to exist in one where I can't be with you. ~ C.M. King
King Tut quotes by C.M. King
Trixie pixie nixie," she said. "To her it's all a game. All our sorrow. And she's awake again. ~ Stephen King
King Tut quotes by Stephen King
Rationalism is the idea that we can ever understand anything about the state of being. It's a deathtrip. It always has been ... And if rationalism is a deathtrip, then irrationalism might very well be a lifetrip ... at least until it proves otherwise. ~ Stephen King
King Tut quotes by Stephen King
But it was a dreadful kind of curiosity, the kind that makes you peek through your fingers during the scariest parts of a scary movie. ~ Stephen King
King Tut quotes by Stephen King
I had to ride a horse once. In 'King Arthur.' I said I could ride, but I had to call for lessons on the day the deal was signed. I started out on this little chunky thing and slowly moved up. It was months of work. ~ Clive Owen
King Tut quotes by Clive Owen
The schools schedule is a series of units of time; the clock is king. ~ Ted Sizer
King Tut quotes by Ted Sizer
The center had frayed like a rag rug that had been washed and walked on and shaken and hung and dried. The lines and nets of mesh which held the last jewel at the breast of the world were unraveling. Things were not holding together. The earth drew in its breath in the summer of the coming eclipse.
The boy idled along the upper corridor of this stone place which was home, sensing these things, not understanding. ~ Stephen King
King Tut quotes by Stephen King
Seeing your mother naked is not something you easily recover from. Seeing your mother naked and jumping from one side of a king-sized bed to the other with a nurse's hat on while your father, who is also naked, is chasing her with a bandanna around his neck, is reason to put yourself up for adoption. ~ Chelsea Handler
King Tut quotes by Chelsea Handler
King with a large jaw and a queen with a fair face, on the throne of France. In both countries it was clearer than crystal to the lords of the State preserves of loaves and fishes, ~ Charles Dickens
King Tut quotes by Charles Dickens
Rather, the kingdom already exists in the King himself, and when he ascends, the whole world goes with him (John 12:32).
It is not that someday Jesus will do this, that, and the other thing, and then the Kingdom will come. It is not, for example, that at some future date the dead will rise or that in some distant consummation we will reign with him. Rather, it is that we have already been buried with him in baptism, and that we are already risen with him through faith in the operation of God who raised him from the dead, and that we are now - in this and every moment - enthroned together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
But ~ Robert Farrar Capon
King Tut quotes by Robert Farrar Capon

He didn't like the way things were going.
There were bad omens in the wind, evil portents like bats fluttering in the dark loft of a deserted barn. ~ Stephen King
King Tut quotes by Stephen King
I try to find some pity for Tasha. I don't have any. I try to steal some from how I feel about my mom, but there isn't enough to share it.
I scream, "Fuck this shit!" and kick the chair over. Then I go looking for Hannah ~ A.S. King
King Tut quotes by A.S. King
Rodney King is a progenitor of all these cell phone videos that we have. It was unusual that a person had a video camera to take a picture of the Rodney King beating. Now, of course, everybody has a phone, and that has been one of the key factors in all the new attention to the issue. ~ Jeffrey Toobin
King Tut quotes by Jeffrey Toobin
The deep art ... That's the part that has to be guarded like a miser would his money ... Like a dope addict would his dope ... Like a lover with their love. ~ Alonzo King
King Tut quotes by Alonzo King
Patience is all that I have had for fifteen years, more grey hairs, rotted teeth and the continuing decline of my Kingdom my only reward. Patience, Magnar, has overdue debts to be paid.
(King Klonag) ~ Adrian G. Hilder
King Tut quotes by Adrian G. Hilder
But sometimes a person who fits none of these categories comes into your life. This is the joker who pops out of the deck at odd intervals over the years, often during a moment of crisis. In the movies this sort of character is known as the fifth business, or the change agent. When he turns up in a film, you know he's there because the screenwriter put him there. But who is screenwriting our lives? Fate or coincidence? ~ Stephen King
King Tut quotes by Stephen King
This is my password," said the King as he drew his sword. "The light is dawning, the lie broken. Now guard thee, miscreant, for I am Tirian of Narnia. ~ C.S. Lewis
King Tut quotes by C.S. Lewis
We mustn't claim to stand for our King but then deny Him by living a fleshly existence. Our King's Mighties don't shy away from the blazing searchlight of God's Word, but rather, willingly expose their souls and cry, 'Dear King, if there be anything that stands between You and me, if there be anything that shrouds Your glory, if there be anything that will weaken my sword in battle, purge it, slay it, utterly destroy it! ~ Eric Ludy
King Tut quotes by Eric Ludy
Being strong means allowing yourself to cry over the things you can't change; laugh when things are funny; smile when you're happy. It means understanding where your breaking point is, and yet, going further and still remaining whole. Strong people push themselves to the limits of pain and joy. They fall to their knees in agony, then they lift up their faces to find the beautiful morning rays shining down on them, and they rise to their feet. Being strong means never giving up, no matter how crushed you are, and finding happiness in the smallest parts of life. ~ D. Nichole King
