We were the creatures desired throughout the ages ... foolish humans didn't even realize it, living in their own little world. ~ Kay Harding
Harding quotes by Kay Harding
But a huge part of being a writer is discovering your own intellectual and aesthetic autonomy, and how you best get the best words onto the page. ~ Paul Harding
Harding quotes by Paul Harding
Two decades after communism and the alleged end of the Cold War, Russia is still a cash economy. The preferred currency is dollars, though euros are also acceptable. ~ Luke Harding
Harding quotes by Luke Harding
Write as precisely and as lucidly and as richly as you can about what you find truly mysterious and irreducible about human experience, and not obscurely about what will prove to be received opinion or cliche once the reader figures out your stylistic conceit. There's all the difference in the world between mystery and mystification. ~ Paul Harding
Harding quotes by Paul Harding
Similarly, he forgot - or never really understood - that we live in a culture where men, as a group, have more power than women.

This isn't a controversial statement, despite the protestations of guys who funnel their frustration that not all extremely young, conventionally attractive women want to sleep with them into and argument that women, as a group, have "all the power." (Bill Maher, repping for his fan base, famously jokes that men have to do all sorts of shit to get laid, but women only have to do "their hair.")

The really great thing about this argument is how the patently nonsensical premise - that some young women's ability to manipulate certain men equals a greater degree of gendered power than say, owning the presidency for 220-odd years - obscures the most chilling part: in this mindset, "all the power" means, simply, the power to withhold consent.

Let that sink in for a minute. If one believes women are more powerful that men because we own practically all of the vaginas, then women's power to withhold consent to sex is the greatest power there is.

Which means the guy who can take away a woman's right to consent is basically a superhero. Right? ~ Kate Harding
Harding quotes by Kate Harding
Actually, we're just glorified flagpole sitters. ~ Warren G. Harding
Harding quotes by Warren G. Harding
Before the birth of the New Woman the country was not an intellectual desert, as she is apt to suppose. There were teachers of thehighest grade, and libraries, and countless circles in our towns and villages of scholarly, leisurely folk, who loved books, and music, and Nature, and lived much apart with them. The mad craze for money, which clutches at our souls to-day as la grippe does at our bodies, was hardly known then. ~ Rebecca Harding Davis
Harding quotes by Rebecca Harding Davis
Houses can be ghosts, too, just like people. ~ Paul Harding
Harding quotes by Paul Harding
my story is that more than sex or death or the remote possibility of God, there was one thing more fundamental to my way of being in the world than any other, and that was the all-pervading influence of a mother; and not just her influence, but her presence and her love. ~ Michael Harding
Harding quotes by Michael Harding
I think George Bush is the most corrupt American president since Harding in the Twenties. He is not the legitimate president. This really is a completely unsupportable government and I look forward to it being overthrown as much as I looked forward to Saddam Hussein being overthrown. ~ Ken Livingstone
Harding quotes by Ken Livingstone
My journalistic mission was straightforward: to await the U.S. invasion of Iraq. Nobody knew quite when this would be. But the diplomacy - the meetings in the U.N. security council, the allegations about weapons of mass destruction, the martial language of Tony Blair and George W. Bush - all suggested a war was brewing. ~ Luke Harding
Harding quotes by Luke Harding
...exiled in an obscure dead water of time... ~ Paul Harding
Harding quotes by Paul Harding
Writers are not just writers, they are creators of worlds, sculptors of the mind, they are architects of language. ~ Jamie L. Harding
Harding quotes by Jamie L. Harding
The best thing about being a writer is that 'work' is always something you love, plus usually accompanied by tea, coffee and cakes of some sort. ~ Jamie L. Harding
Harding quotes by Jamie L. Harding
Howard, instead of trying to explain the hermit's existence in terms of hearth fires and trappers' shacks, preferred the blank space the old man actually seemed to inhabit; he liked to think of some fold in the woods, some seam that only the hermit could sense and slip into, where the ice and snow, where the frozen forest itself, would accept him and he would no longer need fire or wool blankets, but instead flourish wreathed in snow, spun in frost, with limbs like cold wood and blood like frigid sap. ~ Paul Harding
Harding quotes by Paul Harding
Fairy tales teach us not just about love, but to fight for the things that you want. They show us that no matter how bad things get there's always hope. That you should stand up and say no even if no one else will. To believe and to dream even if it seems impossible. ~ Kay Harding
Harding quotes by Kay Harding
There is something inherently wrong, something out of accord with the ideals of representative democracy, when one portion of our citizenship turns its activities to private gain amid defensive war while another is fighting, sacrificing, or dying for national preservation. ~ Warren G. Harding
Harding quotes by Warren G. Harding
The Anarchists' [national] anthem is an international anthem that consists of 365 raspberries blown in very quick succession to the tune of Camptown Races. Nobody has to stand up for it, nobody has to listen to it, and, even better, nobody has to play it. ~ Mike Harding
Harding quotes by Mike Harding
The president is the cuticle of the nail bed of America: one would think pushing back makes him stronger, yet it turns out the opposite is true. ~ Warren G. Harding
Harding quotes by Warren G. Harding
Whether looked at from outside or inside, bodies dissolve, matter vanishes, spirit remains - once we bother to go into the matter. "Spirit is the living body seen from within, and the body is the outer manifestation of the living spirit." Extend this statement by Carl Jung to all bodies from electrons to galaxies, and you have the ultimate physics ~ Douglas Harding
Harding quotes by Douglas Harding
Success in your life is not a single achievement. It's all that you do with others and for others ~ Phil Harding
Harding quotes by Phil Harding
Skating was put on the map, supposedly from me Everybody made a life and a livelihood, um, except me. ~ Tonya Harding
Harding quotes by Tonya Harding
He saw no reason to doubt that his shadow dreamed just as he did for the reason that he could imagine himself to be a shadow of something - someone - else and that perhaps even his sleep, his dreams, constituted his duty as a shadow of someone else and that perhaps while THAT someone else dreamed, he was free to live his waking life, so that this alternating, interdependent series of lives formed a sort of intaglio; the waking day of each shadow was the opposite side of its possessor's sleep. ~ Paul Harding
Harding quotes by Paul Harding
In the experiences of a year of the Presidency, there has come to me no other such unwelcome impression as the manifest religious intolerance which exists among many of our citizens. I hold it to be a menace to the very liberties we boast and cherish. ~ Warren G. Harding
Harding quotes by Warren G. Harding
I want to board a train, and leave my books behind. I want to be so caught up in writing about the journey, that I forget that fiction & fact are not the same. The destination does not signify. ~ Hannah Harding
Harding quotes by Hannah Harding
Critical discussions of Western colonialism and imperialism and of what the term postcolonialism could mean, require, and enable first became acceptable in literature and cultural studies departments in the United States some three decades ago. Yet it has been much harder to create such discussions of sciences and technologies. Especially resistant are those departments where the West's scientific rationality and technical expertise have long been lovingly explained and "served up" for use in corporate and nationalist policies: sociology, philosophy, economics, and international relations, as well as the natural sciences themselves. ~ Sandra G. Harding
Harding quotes by Sandra G. Harding
Major General Leonard Wood

Leonard Wood was an army officer and physician, born October 9, 1860 in Winchester, New Hampshire. His first assignment was in 1886 at Fort Huachuca, Arizona where he fought in the last campaign against the fierce Apache warrior Geronimo. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for carrying dispatches 100 miles through hostile territory and was promoted to the rank of Captain, commanding a detachment of the 8th Infantry.

From 1887 to 1898, he served as a medical officer in a number of positions, the last of which was as the personal physician to President William McKinley. In 1898 at the beginning of the war with Spain, he was given command of the 1st Volunteer Cavalry. The regiment was soon to be known as the "Rough Riders." Wood lead his men on the famous charge up San Juan Hill and was given a field promotion to brigadier general.

In 1898 he was appointed the Military Governor of Santiago de Cuba. In 1920, as a retired Major General, Wood ran as the Republican candidate for the presidency of the United States, losing to Warren Harding. In 1921 following his defeat, General Wood accepted the post of Governor General of the Philippines. He held this position from 1921 to 1927, when he died of a brain tumor in Boston, on 7 August 1927, at 66 years of age after which he was buried, with full honors, in Arlington National Cemetery. ~ Hank Bracker
Harding quotes by Hank Bracker
Ridley nodded. 'She told me I couldn't ever tell General Harding or anybody else. Told me I wouldn't be safe.'
'Safe?' Uncle Bob stopped rocking and took the pipe from between his teeth. 'She started in talkin' 'bout you bein' safe, sir?'
Ridley nodded again, and that's when Uncle Bob grinned.
'Well, shoot ... you ain't lost her yet, sir. Not altogether, anyhow. Any female goes to talkin' 'bout you bein' safe ... hmmph. There still be somethin' left in her heart for ya. ~ Tamera Alexander
Harding quotes by Tamera Alexander
What I admire most in men - To sit opposite a mirror at dinner and not look in it ~ Richard Harding Davis
Harding quotes by Richard Harding Davis
He smelled cold water and cold intrepid green. Those early flowers smelled like cold water. Their fragrence was not the still perfume of high summer; it was the smell of cold, raw green. ~ P. Harding
Harding quotes by P. Harding
It has happened to me to meet many of the men of my day whom the world agreed to call great. ~ Rebecca Harding Davis
Harding quotes by Rebecca Harding Davis
He's morbidly obese. He's unusually bloated. There are needle marks on his abdomen and thighs that indicate he's an insulin-dependent diabetic. His diet was fast food and Skittles.

Collier looked skeptical. "So Harding conveniently slipped into a diabetic coma during the middle of a death match? ~ Karin Slaughter
Harding quotes by Karin Slaughter
North and South were equally confident that God was on their side, and appealed incessantly to Him. ~ Rebecca Harding Davis
Harding quotes by Rebecca Harding Davis
Truthfully I don't remember much about anything after the Olympics 'cause I, I lost everything. ~ Tonya Harding
Harding quotes by Tonya Harding
every human who says: 'I AM this or that or whatever' - which, as Meister Eckhart points out, only God can really, really say - is a unique and quite indispensable aspect of His infinite variety. Shankara, the great Hindu sage and philosopher, tells us, 'This being-the-Self-of-all is the highest state of consciousness of the Self, His supreme natural state. But when, before this, one feels oneself to be other than the Self of all, even by a hair's breadth, that state is delusion.' D.E. Harding ~ Richard Lang
Harding quotes by Richard Lang
Invite them all in. Nip out the back door. Phone the police and tell them your house is being burgled. ~ Mike Harding
Harding quotes by Mike Harding
God know my shame as I push my mule to exhaustion, even after the moon and Venus have risen to preside over the owls and mice, because I am not going back to my family - my wife, my children - because my wife's silence is not the forbearance of decent, stern people who fear You; it is the quiet of outrage, of bitterness. It is the quiet of biding time. God forgive me. I am leaving. ~ Paul Harding
Harding quotes by Paul Harding
All Coolidge had to do in 1924 was to keep his mean trap shut, to be elected. All Harding had to do in 1920 was repeat Avoid foreign entanglements. All Hoover had to do in 1928 was to endorse Coolidge. All Roosevelt had to do in 1932 was to point to Hoover. ~ Robert E. Sherwood
Harding quotes by Robert E. Sherwood
Nowhere in this country, from sea to sea, does nature comfort us with such assurance of plenty, such rich and tranquil beauty as in those unsung, unpainted hills of Pennsylvania. ~ Rebecca Harding Davis
Harding quotes by Rebecca Harding Davis
We don't often look into these unpleasant details of our great struggle. We all prefer to think that every man who wore the blue or gray was a Philip Sidney at heart. ~ Rebecca Harding Davis
Harding quotes by Rebecca Harding Davis
I don't know what to do or where to turn in this taxation matter. Somewhere there must be a book that tells all about it, where I could go to straighten it out in my mind. But I don't know where the book is, and maybe I couldn't read it if I found it. ~ Warren G. Harding
Harding quotes by Warren G. Harding
Profound things are simple. If it is not simple, it cannot be true. But simple things are difficult. ~ Douglas Harding
Harding quotes by Douglas Harding
If there were teenagers who had a video camera and saw what I did on a daily basis, they'd be bored out of their mind. ~ Ian Harding
Harding quotes by Ian Harding
People are gonna believe what they want to believe And like I said before, I really don't give a damn. ~ Tonya Harding
Harding quotes by Tonya Harding
FOR WARREN G. HARDING, the summer of 1927 was not a good one, which was perhaps a little surprising since he had been dead for nearly four years by then. ~ Bill Bryson
Harding quotes by Bill Bryson
We children moved constantly in a world where myth and fable walked hand in hand with reality, and the borderline between them was at all times nebulous and shifting. The violent world of fairytale with its Bluebeards and shirts made from thistles wasn't that far from ours. ~ Mike Harding
Harding quotes by Mike Harding
Snowden was horrified to discover that behind bars he would have no access to a computer. ~ Luke Harding
Harding quotes by Luke Harding
He glanced over at Luthar, sneering down into his bowl as though it was full of piss. No respect. He glanced over at Ferro, staring yellow knives at him through narrowed eyes. No trust. He shook his head sadly. Without trust and respect the group would fall apart in a fight like walls without mortar.
Still, Logen had won over tougher audiences, in his time. Threetrees, Tul Duru, Black Dow, Harding Grim, he'd fought each one in single combat, and beaten them all. Spared each man's life, and left him bound to follow. Each one had tried their best to kill him, and with good reasons too, but in the end Logen had earned their trust, and their respect, and their friendship even. Small gestures and a lot of time, that was how he'd done it. 'Patience is the chief of virtues,' his father used to say, and 'you won't cross the mountains in a day.' Time might be against them, but there was nothing to be gained by rushing. You have to be realistic about these things. ~ Joe Abercrombie
Harding quotes by Joe Abercrombie
The Psblurtex is an 18-inch long anaconda that hides in the gentlemen's outfitting departments of Amazonian stores and is often bought by mistake since its colors are those of the London Reform Club. Once tied around its victim's neck, it strangles him gently and then claims the insurance before running off to Germany where it lives in hiding. ~ Mike Harding
Harding quotes by Mike Harding
It was awkward because the high school that I went to, my aunt taught at, it was this private boy's school in D.C. There were one or two teachers that I had the hots for, but never fully expressed my feelings because my aunt was always watching. ~ Ian Harding
Harding quotes by Ian Harding
Every child was taught from his cradle that money was Mammon, the chief agent of the flesh and the devil. ~ Rebecca Harding Davis
Harding quotes by Rebecca Harding Davis
Senator Harding, who declared in his inaugural address that We seek no part in directing the destinies of the world. ~ Robert A. Caro
Harding quotes by Robert A. Caro
I get recognized in the street really frequently, which is really shocking. I'm excruciatingly wary of any female under the age of 19. Even when some of them come up to me, they're usually very cordial, nice and polite. ~ Ian Harding
Harding quotes by Ian Harding
I expect it is very possible that I would make as good a President as a great many men who are talked of for that position. ~ Warren G. Harding
Harding quotes by Warren G. Harding
The scar will always be there. It will always be a part of me, but it's not who I am. Wounds can heal with time, Persephone. And those scars are only a small part of who you can be. ~ Layla Harding
Harding quotes by Layla Harding
America may have great poets and novelists, but she never will have more than one necromancer. ~ Rebecca Harding Davis
Harding quotes by Rebecca Harding Davis
Raising tax rates does not raise revenues. In fact, just the opposite happens. The rich just find a way to legally shelter their money and avoid the higher taxes. And who could blame them. But every time we've lowered tax rates, revenues rose. Harding. Coolidge. Hoover. Kennedy. Reagan. Bush. They all got that. ~ Steve Berry
Harding quotes by Steve Berry
I was told my whole life, you're fat, you're ugly, you're never going to amount to be anything. ~ Tonya Harding
Harding quotes by Tonya Harding
Contrary to all those times you've heard a writer confess at a reading that he writes fiction because he is a pathological liar, fiction writing is all about telling the truth. ~ Paul Harding
Harding quotes by Paul Harding
So deeply moved, he pulled the cassette from the machine, flipped it back over to the beginning, fitted it back into its snug carriage of capstans and guiding pins, and pressed play, thinking that he might preserve such a mood of pure, clean sorrow by listening back to his narrative. He imagined that his memoir might now sound like those of an admirable stranger, a person he did not know but whom he immediately recognized and loved dearly. Instead, the voice he heard sounded nasally and pinched and, worse, not very well educated, as if he were a bumpkin who had been called, perhaps even in mockery, to testify about holy things, as if not the testimony but the fumbling through it were the reason for his presence in front of some dire, heavenly senate. He listened to six seconds of the tape before he ejected it and threw it into the fire burning in the woodstove. ~ P. Harding
Harding quotes by P. Harding
The silver lining of those years when I was trying to get 'Tinkers' published but couldn't were the years when I had to decide, Why do I want to be a writer? I realized that writing is the thing itself; writing is not a means to publication, writing is not a predicate of publication, so I spent years making art for art's sake. ~ Paul Harding
Harding quotes by Paul Harding
[Lloyd George] said that Harding 's speech on American naval aspirations made him feel that he would pawn his shirt rather than allow America to dominate the seas. If this was to be the outcome of the League of Nations propaganda, he was sorry for the world and in particular for America. ~ David Lloyd George
Harding quotes by David Lloyd George
I continued with whatever 'qualified climbers' I could con into this rather unpromising venture. ~ Warren G. Harding
Harding quotes by Warren G. Harding
These great turning-days of life cast no shadow before, slip by unconsciously. Only a trifle, a little turn of the rudder, and the ship goes to heaven or hell. ~ Rebecca Harding Davis
Harding quotes by Rebecca Harding Davis
Influence is getting others to do what you want them to do because they want to do it - a take on Eisenhower's famous leadership statement ~ Phil Harding
Harding quotes by Phil Harding
No civilized person ever goes to bed the same day he gets up. ~ Richard Harding Davis
Harding quotes by Richard Harding Davis
Just beneath our feet, on the other side of the surface of the earth, there is another, subterranean Enon, which conceals its secret business by conducting it too slowly for its purposes to be observed by the living. ~ Paul Harding
Harding quotes by Paul Harding
Is it better that we manage population growth responsibly or should we to wait for nature to cull our numbers? ~ Phil Harding
Harding quotes by Phil Harding
The Guardian's Jonathan Freedland observes that Britain 'has a fundamentally different conception of power to, say, the United States'. It doesn't have a Bill of Rights or a written constitution, or the American idea that 'we the people' are sovereign. Rather, the British system still bears the 'imprint of its origins in monarchy', with power emanating from the top and flowing downwards. Britons remain subjects rather than citizens. Hence their lack of response towards government intrusion. ~ Luke Harding
Harding quotes by Luke Harding
Nicola had to move closer to Marcus, had to take his hands in hers and hold them over her heart as though she could give hers up for his if it meant she could take away all of the pain he'd had to deal with at such a terribly young age. ~ Bella Andre
Harding quotes by Bella Andre
Light changes, our eyes blink and see the world from the slightest difference of perspective and our place in it has changed. ~ Paul Harding
Harding quotes by Paul Harding
Screwing is more enjoyable than drilling bolt holes !. ~ Warren G. Harding
Harding quotes by Warren G. Harding
Each day at my job felt like one day closer to death; go to work, come home, watch TV, one whole day lost and gone forever. When I traveled, no time felt wasted. I was alert and active. I was switched on. I felt like I'd been living in a cage and I'd only just learned there was no lock on the door. I could just walk outside and do as I pleased. I didn't want to get back in. ~ Matt Harding
Harding quotes by Matt Harding
America was discovered by Amerigo Vespucci and was named after him, until people got tired of living in a place called "Vespuccia" and changed its name to "America" ~ Mike Harding
Harding quotes by Mike Harding
We must have a citizenship less concerned about what the government can do for it and more anxious about what it can do for the nation. ~ Warren G. Harding
Harding quotes by Warren G. Harding
We must proceed with a full realization that no statute enacted by man can repeal the inexorable laws of nature. ~ Warren G. Harding
Harding quotes by Warren G. Harding
Lawyers get up in front of people, and they posture. They make themselves seem big and loud so people will look at them and listen. They work daily with chaos and messes. They thrive on attention. Just like a child ~ Meg Harding
Harding quotes by Meg Harding
Had I ever truly been free? Though I wasn't shipped off to different countries did that make me any less of a prisoner? ~ Kay Harding
Harding quotes by Kay Harding
When you put beads in your knitting, you are really putting bits of light in your knitting. The gleam and color-play of beads add a whole other dimension that could be demure or outrageous, as you please. Your choice of beads and yarn uniquely expresses your personality. - Sivia Harding, designer and teacher ~ Debbie Macomber
Harding quotes by Debbie Macomber
There is my father whispering in my ear, Be still still still. And yet you change everything. What was the marsh like, waiting for the storm before you came and kneeled in the water? It was nothing. Watch after you leave the water, now cold and regretful, miles from home, certain of the belt on your backside, the cold shoulder, the extra chores; watch. Watch the water heal itself of your presence
not to repair injury but to offer itself again should you care to risk another strapping [ ... ]. ~ Paul Harding
Harding quotes by Paul Harding
When his grandchildren had been little, they had asked if they could hide inside the clock. Now he wanted to gather them and open himself up and hide them among his ribs and faintly ticking heart. ~ Paul Harding
Harding quotes by Paul Harding
I had a deep and abiding love for the idea that this life is not something that we are forced to endure but rather something in which we are blessed to be allowed to participate. But I felt no gratitude whatsoever for, and no relief from, the pain I experienced every waking moment, and this life felt like nothing more than a distillation of sorrow and anger. ~ Paul Harding
Harding quotes by Paul Harding
Let the black man vote when he is fit to vote; prohibit the white man voting when he is unfit to vote. ~ Warren G. Harding
Harding quotes by Warren G. Harding
It is difficult to believe that even idiots ever succumbed to such transparent contradictions, to such gaudy processions of mere counter-words, to so vast and obvious a nonsensicalitysentence after sentence that has no apparent meaning at all
stuff quite as bad as the worst bosh of Warren Gamaliel Harding. ~ H.L. Mencken
Harding quotes by H.L. Mencken
At some point in your adult life, you've probably walked into a party and felt a frisson of relief upon discovering at least one woman there who was fatter, uglier, and/or dressed more inappropriately than you. We sure have. But if you want to have any hope of making peace with your own body, you need to knock that shit off.

We're not even telling you to stop just because it's nasty, petty, and beneath you to judge other women so harshly; it is, but because you're not a saint, and neither are we. We're telling you to stop because it's actually in your own self-interest to stop being such a bitch. 'Cause you know what happens when you quit saying that crap about other women? You magically stop saying it about yourself so much, too.

Judging other women negatively creates a constant stream of nasty thoughts in your head. It is inevitable that you will end up applying those same standards to yourself. We think we're building ourselves up when we do this but, really, we're just tearing other people down to our level. And we hate to go all Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood on you, but tearing other people down isn't really productive. It leaves you in the same place you started, which is full of loathing for your own body. ~ Marianne Kirby
Harding quotes by Marianne Kirby
In Britain, these Jewish refugees were greeted with a mixture of grudging acceptance by some and open hostility by others. ~ Thomas Harding
Harding quotes by Thomas Harding
By August 2008, we had left Voikovskaya and moved into a wooden dacha in the artists' colony of Sokol in north-west Moscow. The house was a haven amid the madness of the city: lily of the valley grew near our front gate, Virginia creeper decked the green picket fence. ~ Luke Harding
Harding quotes by Luke Harding
The top two ways to destroy success are greed and impatience ~ Phil Harding
Harding quotes by Phil Harding
I woke up every morning on the couch. It felt like the same morning all the time, or like an infinite series of nested dreams from which every day I imagined I awoke but I only ever really arose into another dream. ~ Paul Harding
Harding quotes by Paul Harding
If, Sir, I possessed the power of conveying unlimited sexual attraction through the potency of my voice, I would not be reduced to accepting a miserable pittance from the BBC for interviewing a faded female in a damp basement. ~ Gilbert Harding
Harding quotes by Gilbert Harding
Less government in business and more business in government. ~ Warren G. Harding
Harding quotes by Warren G. Harding
I was spent up. I sure grabbed that girl of mine. ~ Warren G. Harding
Harding quotes by Warren G. Harding
Over the past 100 years, there have been three major periods of tax-rate cuts in the U.S.: the Harding-Coolidge cuts of the mid-1920s; the Kennedy cuts of the mid-1960s; and the Reagan cuts of the early 1980s. Each of these periods of tax cuts was remarkably successful as measured by virtually any public policy metric. ~ Arthur Laffer
Harding quotes by Arthur Laffer
The New Englander landed on a stony, barren tract, and a large share of his strength during two centuries has gone to force a living out of it. Hence he has come to regard economy - a necessary unpleasant quality at best - as the chief of virtues. He has cultivated habits which verge on closeness in dealing with food, and with the expression of feeling, and even - his enemies think - with feeling itself. ~ Rebecca Harding Davis
Harding quotes by Rebecca Harding Davis
You can't start a movement, but you can prepare for one ~ Vincent Harding
Harding quotes by Vincent Harding
Without environmental sustainability, economic stability and social cohesion cannot be achieved ~ Phil Harding
Harding quotes by Phil Harding
Parents are unpredictable when their children are involved," Harding said. "I'd much rather fight a squadron of Forgotten than deal with an affluent mother who thinks her son is in danger. ~ Brandon Sanderson
Harding quotes by Brandon Sanderson
It is a Siren's burden," she whispered, "So much strength, so much pain. You will feel the weight of humanity on your shoulders, though you are only partly human yourself. Soon you will not have any traces of that left. ~ Kay Harding
Harding quotes by Kay Harding
It was a vast emptiness vastly filled, a nothing that found room for everything -- room for grass, trees, shadowy distant hills, and far above them snow-peaks like a row of angular clouds riding the blue sky . I had lost a head and gained a world. ~ Douglas Harding
Harding quotes by Douglas Harding
There is no relationship here between Church and State. Religious liberty has its unalterable place, along with civil and human liberty, in the very foundation of the Republic. I hold it [religious intolerance] to be a menace to the very liberties which we boast and cherish. ~ Warren G. Harding
Harding quotes by Warren G. Harding
