I believe in women uplifting other women. The only thing that makes our gender weaker, is the fact that we are the gender less likely to stand up for the other. We are the gender more likely to try and make another look bad, and when one of us is already bad, instead of being kind, we pound them into the ditches. And that's what makes us weak, nothing else. If we can change this, we can change the whole structure of our being female, I truly believe this. Personally, I grew up admiring other women and wanting to be friends with them, but unfortunately, I learned the hard way that they were the ones who would hurt me. Women hurt other women all too often, and that's a fact. I'd like to see not just us not hurting one another; but us actually making a conscious effort to be happy for another when she is happy, to hope the best for another when she has better, and to lift another up when she is down. We know that so many of us are harsh, cold and selfish, and we try to protect ourselves from one another, that's the reality. But it's also a reality that what is real can change. So that means we can change it. ~ C. JoyBell C.
Changing Femininity quotes by C. JoyBell C.
Authenticity is a practice we choose in each present moment. It is not a plan or a destination to get to. The choices we make in the now are most important because in a fast-changing world, flexing to what's happening now, and creating from it is a critical leadership skill. ~ Henna Inam
Changing Femininity quotes by Henna Inam
I subscribe to the thought that it doesn't matter if it's right or wrong. What matters is what works. ~ Tony Curl
Changing Femininity quotes by Tony Curl
Leadership experts and the public alike extol the virtues of transformational leaders - those who set out bold objectives and take risks to change the world. We tend to downplay 'transactional' leaders, whose goals are more modest, as mere managers. ~ Joseph Nye
Changing Femininity quotes by Joseph Nye
The opinions of men who think are always growing and changing, like living children. ~ Philip Gilbert Hamerton
Changing Femininity quotes by Philip Gilbert Hamerton
I refuse to have my vagina photographed because I have no
interest in being desired on the basis of its appearance. It has
taken me decades to appreciate its power and beauty, and not
merely because it birthed a child. Responsive to tenderness and
the source of a luminous ecstasy, my vagina has enabled me to
transcend an otherwise limited sense of self. I feel no need to
make it conform to another's aesthetic or have it applauded by
strangers. ~ Antonella Gambotto-Burke
Changing Femininity quotes by Antonella Gambotto-Burke
Displacement results in a tenuous relationship with the past, with the self that used to exist and operate in a different place, where the qualities that constituted us were in no need of negotiation. Immigration is an ontological crisis because you are forced to negotiatet the conditions of your selfhood under pereptually changing existential circumstances. ~ Aleksandar Hemon
Changing Femininity quotes by Aleksandar Hemon
Something in every person objects to acknowledging the fact that he is not even "master in his own house".
The unconscious is un-conscious, and there's no bargaining on that score. The whole analytic therapy is based on the principle of making the unconscious conscious through an emotional therapeutic process, thus changing the unfavorable inner structure. All the misconceptions current about "self-analysis" via book knowledge are empty talk; self-analysis is a fancy word for arriving at wrong conclusions about one's own wonderful self. A psychiatric guide is needed for the descent into one's "inner hell". Psychoanalysis has always had the distinction of presenting unpalatable ideas. This fact is not based on some peculiar predilection of analysts but is inherent in analytic discoveries. Since our science deals with psychic material typically repressed (expelled from consciousness because too painful and shameful to remain conscious) the reaction of the conscious ego is an indignant "no". Facts, however, do not change by simple denial of them. ~ Edmund Bergler
Changing Femininity quotes by Edmund Bergler
You're looking for the best way of shooting it, but sometimes the best way of shooting it is changing the script. ~ Jose Padilha
Changing Femininity quotes by Jose Padilha
Without Psychological Evolution there cannot be any form of revolution. The self is constantly changing. Be involved, be evolved, be revolutionized as lucent and fresh as the new wave hitting at the shore. Become the Sea of Changes. It starts from within. ~ Grigoris Deoudis
Changing Femininity quotes by Grigoris Deoudis
Man can change his conditions by changing his words. ~ Florence Scovel Shinn
Changing Femininity quotes by Florence Scovel Shinn
The competitive landscape of hedge funds is rapidly changing, as hundreds of funds are opened and closed every year. For example, Pensions & Investments reported that 784 new funds were started in 2009, while 1,023 existing funds were closed. Amazingly, the median life of a hedge fund is only 31 months. Fewer than 15 percent of hedge funds last longer than six years, and 60 percent of them disappear in less than three years.[3] ~ Gordon Murray
Changing Femininity quotes by Gordon Murray
The key to changing the way people think is to change what's popular. That's why rather than submit to the mainstream, you have to become it - and then overcome it. ~ Marilyn Manson
Changing Femininity quotes by Marilyn Manson
What evidence would you need to see to change your mind about this? ~ Seth Godin
Changing Femininity quotes by Seth Godin
I was very much into science when I was young - I wanted to be a marine biologist, then I wanted to be a doctor, and then something else, I was always changing. ~ Freema Agyeman
Changing Femininity quotes by Freema Agyeman
I also want to announce that I'm changing my name. I haven't told anyone. You get the scoop. ~ Luther Campbell
Changing Femininity quotes by Luther Campbell
By the 'best minds' Ginsberg meant the dropouts, poets, musicians and world travellers, as opposed to doctors and lawyers. He understood that Wrong Planet people tend to pick up better communication skills, have greater visualisation, and can adapt to changing circumstances quicker than Rag, Tag & Bobtail. ~ Karl Wiggins
Changing Femininity quotes by Karl Wiggins
I change the world by changing myself. I am changing the world by loving myself, by enjoying life, by making my personal world a dream of heaven. I change myself, and just like magic, other people start to change. ~ Miguel Angel Ruiz
Changing Femininity quotes by Miguel Angel Ruiz
No one can tell what goes on in between the person you were and the person you become. No one can chart that blue and lonely section of hell. There are no maps of the change. You just come out the other side.
Or you don't. ~ Stephen King
Changing Femininity quotes by Stephen King
Our climate is always changing. ~ Marco Rubio
Changing Femininity quotes by Marco Rubio
Let's not forget, but make it our business to record the worst of the human viciousness we've seen without changing one word. ~ Louis Ferdinand Celine
Changing Femininity quotes by Louis Ferdinand Celine
Like your tastebuds, desires and goals are ever-changing. What used to work, might not do it for you anymore. The question is: Do you have the guts to do something about it? ~ C. Nzingha Smith
Changing Femininity quotes by C. Nzingha Smith
Theology is indispensable for religious communities to make sense of themselves and their changing views about the world in light of what is perceived to be revelation, but, at the same time, that theology can have a pretentiousness, or double pretentiousness, if it is acontextual as opposed to contextual, if it is foundationalist as opposed to antifoundationalist, or ahistorical as opposed to historicist. ~ Cornel West
Changing Femininity quotes by Cornel West
The arrival in Paris, as grim as ever. The leprous façades of the Pont Cardinet flats, behind which one invariably imagines retired folk agonizing alongside their cat Poucette which is eating up half their pension with its Friskies. Those weird metal structures that indecently mount each other to form a grid of overhead wires. And the inevitable advertising hoardings flashing by, gaudy and repellent. 'A gay and changing spectacle on the walls.' Bullshit. Pure fucking bullshit. ~ Michel Houellebecq
Changing Femininity quotes by Michel Houellebecq
We are becoming able to see the pursuit of external power for what it is and the futility of trying to escape the pain of powerlessness by changing the world. When we look inward, not outward, we can dismantle the parts of our personalities that have controlled us for so long - such as anger, jealousy, vindictiveness, superiority, inferiority. ~ Gary Zukav
Changing Femininity quotes by Gary Zukav
It is also about loss, about the perishability of dreams once they are transformed into hard reality. It is the longing, its immateriality, that makes the dream pure.

What we in Iran had in common with Fitzgerald was this dream that became our obsession and took over our reality, this terrible, beautiful dream, impossible in its actualization, for which any amount of violence might be justified or forgiven. This was what we had in common, although we were not aware of it then.

Dreams, Mr Nyazi, are perfect ideals, complete in themselves. How can you impose them on a constantly changing, imperfect, incomplete reality? You would become a Humbert, destroying the object of your dream; or a Gatsby, destroying yourself.

When I left the class that day, I did not tell them what I myself was just beginning to discover: how similar our own fate was becoming to Gatsby's. He wanted to fulfill his dream by repeating the past, and in the end he discovered that the past was dead, the present a sham, and there was no future. Was this not similar to our revolution, which had come in the name of our collective past and had wrecked our lives in the name of a dream? ~ Azar Nafisi
Changing Femininity quotes by Azar Nafisi
The model of publishing is changing and its happening right now, but most publishers are so frightened, they just dont know how to embrace it. ~ Tahir Shah
Changing Femininity quotes by Tahir Shah
Your life is a reflection of your thoughts. Think well. ~ Danielle Pierre
Changing Femininity quotes by Danielle Pierre
Doing or not doing something - they are similar. Both involve an action and sincerity. ~ CLAMP
Changing Femininity quotes by CLAMP
If we behave like those on the other side, then we are the other side. Instead of changing the world, all we'll achieve is a reflection of the one we want to destroy. ~ Jean Genet
Changing Femininity quotes by Jean Genet
"I put you and Simon in danger just by..."
"By being here? And what's the alternative? Take off? Give up on finding your dad? Leave Simon behind?"
He blinked. "No, I wouldn't leave...but I feel like..."
"Feel like what?"
He shook his head, looking away. I walked around in front of him.
"Feel like what, Derek? Like you should leave? Like we'd be better off if you did?"
He rolled his shoulders in a half shrug, then looked away again. I was right. He just didn't like hearing the thought voiced; it sounded too close to self-pity.
"No one is better off if you leave," I said.
"Yeah." He mumbled the word, unconvinced.
"Simon needs you."
I need you. I didn't say that, of course. How could I, without it sounding weird.? But I felt it, heart hammering against my ribs, and it wasn't some romantic I can't bear to be without you nonsense. It was something deeper, more desperate.
When I thought of Derek leaving, the ground seemed to slide under my feet. I needed something to hold on to, something solid and real when everything around me was changing so fast. Even if there were times I thought it would be easier without Derek there, ready to tear a strip off me at my every misstep, in some ways I relied on that - someone to keep me thinking, keep me striving to do better, keep me from burying my head and praying it all worked out.
When he turned away, he must have seen it on my face. As fast as I tried to cover it up, i ~ Kelley Armstrong
Changing Femininity quotes by Kelley Armstrong
If changing our world is playing God, it is just one more way in which God made us in His image. ~ Aubrey De Grey
Changing Femininity quotes by Aubrey De Grey
I'm going to keep on finding out the kind of man I am through my music. That's the one place I can be free. But the reason it's difficult is because I'm changing all the time. ~ Charles Mingus
Changing Femininity quotes by Charles Mingus
Changing the direction of a large company is like trying to turn an aircraft carrier. It takes a mile before anything happens. And if it was a wrong turn, getting back on course takes even longer. ~ Al Ries
Changing Femininity quotes by Al Ries
Change itself is changing. The process of evolution itself is evolving. There is a meta-evolution, or a metachange that is taking place. And in that process what you see is actually an increasing contrast between change and the eternal or the unchanging. ~ Yasuhiko Kimura
Changing Femininity quotes by Yasuhiko Kimura
Once a person is at the center of love, there is very rarely a possibility for him to fall back down, because he has tasted something of the heights. Now valleys will be very dark, ugly; he has seen sunlit peaks, not very high, but still high; now his whole desire will be ... ~ Rajneesh
Changing Femininity quotes by Rajneesh
His body is changing. He will strip down and start getting even bigger and stronger over the next few seasons and, seriously, how scary is that? He will be unstoppable. He has just got to realise how good he is and what he can do in the game if he puts his mind to it. ~ Wendell Sailor
Changing Femininity quotes by Wendell Sailor
If you have a dog, and you're a person whose moods are constantly changing, there's a moment when you look at the dog, and you feel bad for them because they're attached to you, and so it's funny for the dog to vocalize those things in some ways. ~ Eileen Myles
Changing Femininity quotes by Eileen Myles
We can do more for the peace just by changing our thoughts. Be an example of compassion and kindness like Mother Teresa. We all can do that without harming anyone. ~ Debasish Mridha
Changing Femininity quotes by Debasish Mridha
Nothing is more difficult to accomplish than changing outward actions without changing inward feelings. ~ John C. Maxwell
Changing Femininity quotes by John C. Maxwell
Prayer is not about changing your situation, although sometimes God grants those requests. It's about changing your heart. ~ Tammy L. Gray
Changing Femininity quotes by Tammy L. Gray
These people look upon inequality as upon an evil. They do not assert that a definite
degree of inequality which can be exactly determined by a judgment free of any
arbitrariness and personal evaluation is good and has to be preserved unconditionally.
They, on the contrary, declare inequality in itself as bad and merely contend that a
lower degree of it is a lesser evil than a higher degree in the same sense in which a
smaller quantity of poison in a man's body is a lesser evil than a larger dose. But if
this is so, then there is logically in their doctrine no point at which the endeavors
toward equalization would have to stop. Whether one has already reached a degree of
inequality which is to be considered low enough and beyond which it is not necessary
to embark upon further measures toward equalization is just a matter of personal
judgments of value, quite arbitrary, different with different people and changing in the
passing of time. As these champions of equalization appraise confiscation and
"redistribution" as a policy harming only a minority, viz., those whom they consider
to be "too" rich, and benefiting the rest - the majority - of the people, they cannot
oppose any tenable argument to those who are asking for more of this allegedly
beneficial policy. As long as any degree of inequality is left, there will always be
people whom envy impels to press for a continuation of the equalization ~ Ludwig Von Mises
