When you analyze all the data, there is a warming trend according to science. But the jury is out on the degree of how much is manmade. ~ Rob Portman
Manmade quotes by Rob Portman
The fight still isn't people of colour versus white. It's the people versus the system built to keep us down. That's the first line of the Constitution. And the system is manmade but is made of no man. Everyone, regardless of class, creed, culture and ethnicity can fight the system and help to break it down. ~ Lizzo
Manmade quotes by Lizzo
We are not an inferior class. I am inferior to no man. None of us are. It is a myth. A manmade creation. It can be unmade, and it should be, and it will be. ~ Michael Paul Michaud
Manmade quotes by Michael Paul Michaud
Aside from its parks and nature areas, Singapore is intensively developed, and due to the shortage of land, is building up, down and on manmade islands and landfills. ~ Alan Huffman
Manmade quotes by Alan Huffman
As our planet takes action to cast out its manmade poisons and heal its man-caused wounds, many human inhabitants will no doubt give way to fear. Many will cling to seemingly powerful we're-God's-chosen-people religions, hoping that by so doing they will be saved from the wrath of a Vengeful God (not recognizing that the approaching "vengeance" will in reality be man's own actions coming back at him - and not recognizing that the Infinite Universal Power is far more than the narrow-minded gatekeeper of an exclusive Spiritual Country Club). ~ Benjamin Hoff
Manmade quotes by Benjamin Hoff
Bruce hates magic. He's a scientist; he has a rational mind. And he respects natural law even more, if possible, than manmade ones. Magic lets someone cheat those laws, and he hates it. ~ Chris Dee
Manmade quotes by Chris Dee
we were struck down as one by a virus of most vile design, whether it is natural or manmade, we do not know. In the beginning it did not take our lives firsthand, but in the darkness of women's bodies, it did its horrid work. It undermined the very fabric of life, its effects robbing the world of procreation by burning out the possibility of female existence. ~ Joe Hart
Manmade quotes by Joe Hart

Manmade quotes by Amanda Lovelace
Every business is manmade. It is a result of individuals. It reflects the personalities and the business philosophy of the founders and those who have directed its affairs throughout its existence. If you want to have an understanding of any business, it is important to know the background of the people who started it and directed its past and the hopes and ambitions of those who are planning its future. ~ Thomas Rowe Price, Jr.
Manmade quotes by Thomas Rowe Price, Jr.
A manmade waterfall that was half man, half waterfall would have a hard time going upstairs. Thank God for waterproof elevators! ~ Jarod Kintz
Manmade quotes by Jarod Kintz
Believe it or not, very little research has ever been funded to search for natural mechanisms of warming ... it has simply been assumed that global warming is manmade. Climate change - it happens, with or without our help. ~ Roy Spencer
Manmade quotes by Roy Spencer
I know Teddy Kennedy had fun at the Democratic convention when he said that I said that trees and vegetation caused 80 percent of the air pollution in this country ... Well, now he was a little wrong about what I said. I didn't say 80 percent. I said 92 percent-93 percent, pardon me. And I didn't say air pollution, I said oxides of nitrogen. Growing and decaying vegetation in this land are responsible for 93 percent of the oxides of nitrogen ... If we are totally successful and can eliminate all the manmade oxides of nitrogen, we'll still have 93 percent as much as we have in the air today. ~ Ronald Reagan
Manmade quotes by Ronald Reagan
This place where she worked certainly didn't make it look as if she continued to believe her calling was to change the course of American history. The building's rusted fire escape would just come down, just come loose from its moorings and crash onto the street, if anyone stepped on it - a fire escape whose function was not to save lives in the event of a fire but to uselessly hang there testifying to the immense loneliness inherent to living. For him it was stripped of any other meaning - no meaning could make better use of that building. Yes, alone we are, deeply alone, and always, in store for us, a layer of loneliness even deeper. There is nothing we can do to dispose of that. No, loneliness shouldn't surprise us, as astonishing to experience it as it may be. You can try turning yourself inside out, but all you are then is inside out and lonely instead of inside in and lonely. My stupid, stupid Merry dear, stupider even than your stupid father, not even blowing up buildings helps. It's lonely if there are buildings and it's lonely if there are no buildings. There is no protest to be lodged against loneliness - not all the bombing campaigns in history have made a dent in it. The most lethat of manmade explosives can't touch it. Stand in awe not of Communism, my idiot child, but of ordinary, everyday loneliness. On May Day go out and march with your friends to its greater glory, the superpower of superpowers, the force that overwhelms all. Put your money on it, bet on it, ~ Philip Roth
Manmade quotes by Philip Roth
There are disasters that are entirely manmade, but none that are entirely natural. ~ Rebecca Solnit
Manmade quotes by Rebecca Solnit
We only invented the word organic because we made things inorganic.
We only invented the word natural because we made things unnatural.
We only invented the word permaculture because we made agriculture. ~ Khang Kijarro Nguyen
Manmade quotes by Khang Kijarro Nguyen
i've loved you since the sun first rose," he read. "Ive loved you through God send Catastrophe and manmade Disaster. I've loved you though my heart stopped beating and my eyes ran dry, through time and in spite of it, for our love has its roots in eternity and cannot fall victim to time or death. My love has no shame, no pride. it is only what it is, always has been and always will be. It is Yours. all Yours. Only Yours

Gregory went cold with fear- ~ Trevor Meldal-Johnsen
Manmade quotes by Trevor Meldal-Johnsen
She smiled from ear to ear at the thought of knowing his name. She perched herself up onto her tip toes to try to be able to get a good look at him. He was smiling a charming smile and he escorted his bridesmaid through the manmade aisle. Again, like before as his proximity got closer, so did the intense feelings she felt burning inside of her body. She tried really hard to not feel them. She wished she had something stronger to drink to dull the uncomfortable and scary emotions he was bringing out in her. ~ J.B. McGee
Manmade quotes by J.B. McGee
I believe in God. Or some great power beyond what we can imagine. But I think religion is a manmade prison. ~ Karina Halle
Manmade quotes by Karina Halle
Read. The book is still the greatest manmade machine of all - not the car, not the TV, not the smartphone. ~ Ken Burns
Manmade quotes by Ken Burns
Make peace with your body, it's not manmade, there are no flaws, there are no mistakes. ~ Warsan Shire
Manmade quotes by Warsan Shire
Forget the buildings and the monuments. Let the softness of dark come in, all those light-years between stars and planets. Cities were the works of men but the earth before and after those cities, outside and beneath and around them, was the dream of a sleeping leviathan--it was god sleeping there and dreaming, the same god that was time and transfiguration. From whatever dreamed the dream at the source, atom or energy, flowed all the miracles of evolution--tiger, tiger burning bright, the massive whales in the deep, luminescent specters in their mystery. The pearls that were their eyes, their tongues that were wet leaves, their bodies that were the bodies of the fantastic.

Spectacular bestiaries of heaven, the limbs and tails of the gentle and the fearsome, silent or raging at will . . . they could never be known in every detail and they never should be. ~ Lydia Millet
Manmade quotes by Lydia Millet
Grant that the idea of God is the most splendid single act of the creative human imagination, and that all his multiple faces and attributes correspond to some need and satisfy some deep desire in mankind; still, for the Inquirers, it is impossible not to conclude that this mystical concept has been harnessed rudely to machinery of the most mundane sort, and has been made to serve the ends of an organization which, ruling under divine guidance, has ruled very little better, and in some respects, worse, than certain rather mediocre but frankly manmade systems of government. ~ Katherine Anne Porter
Manmade quotes by Katherine Anne Porter
Every piece of technology, every piece of art, basically everything manmade comes from an idea. ~ Pharrell Williams
Manmade quotes by Pharrell Williams
Great Babylon" (16:19): though Babylon is not mentioned in Scripture between Genesis 11:9 (Babel is the Hebrew name for Bab-ili, which we render Babylon) and the days of Hezekiah, it had its own position in Hebrew thought. Though it had little political importance between its capture by the Kassites in 1530 BC and its being made the capital of a Chaldean empire in 626 BC, it was the virtually undisputed commercial and religious capital of the Fertile Crescent. So it is the personification, so to speak, for the Bible, of humanity organized for financial profit, and of manmade religion in all its attractive sophistry. These are the two aspects which are dealt with in chapters 17 (religion) and 18 (commerce). If we compare Nahum and Habakkuk, we shall learn something of the different impression created by the pride and cruelty of Assyria and the corruption of human nature which the prophet saw in Babylon. ~ F.F. Bruce
Manmade quotes by F.F. Bruce
It has been said, by engineers themselves, that given enough money, they can accomplish virtually anything: send men to the moon, dig a tunnel under the English Channel. There's no reason they couldn't likewise devise ways to protect infrastructure from the worst hurricanes, earthquakes and other calamities, natural and manmade. ~ Henry Petroski
Manmade quotes by Henry Petroski
If the anti-gravity flying machines witnessed by so many in and around Area 51's airspace are manmade then that confirms the Splinter Civilization are almost light years ahead of known science – and they have technologies the common man could scarcely comprehend.
If on the other hand UFO's are of alien origin, that implies the global elite are collaborating with an ET civilization – and this may explain why classified technology has progressed at such a rapid rate since around the time of Roswell. ~ James Morcan
Manmade quotes by James Morcan
I can see, and that is why I can be happy, in what you call the dark, but which to me is golden. I can see a God-made world, not a manmade world. ~ Helen Keller
Manmade quotes by Helen Keller
Another way is via genetic engineering. Here the germ is inserted into plasmid that has been manipulated by scientists. This type of plasmid is circular segments of DNA extracted from bacteria to serve as a vector. Scientists can add multiple genes and whatever genes they want into this plasmid. In case of vaccines, this includes a genetic piece of the vaccine germ and normally a gene for antibiotic resistance. This means that when the toxic gene is cultured inside the yeast, it has been designed with a new genetic code that makes it resistant to the antibiotic it's coded for. The gene-plasmid combo is inserted into a yeast cell to be replicated. When the yeast replicates, the DNA from the plasmid is reproduced as a part of the yeast DNA. Once enough cells have been replicated, the genetic material in the new and improved yeast cell is extracted and put into the vaccine. Examples of this vaccine are the acellular pertussis and hepatitis B vaccines. One thing that doesn't seem to concern scientists is the fact that the manmade genetic combination becomes the vaccine component. This mixture of intended and unintended genetic information may cause our immune system to overreact. This can be especially complicated for a child with compromised immune system. Another concern is that this new genetic code can become integrated with our own genetic material. Yeast, for instance, is very much like human DNA. It shares about one third of our proteins. ~ James Morcan
Manmade quotes by James Morcan
Did you think they did it alone?
Built whole armies,
and conquered thrones?

Constructed promised lands
that would outlive the sun
resurrected prosperity from ash and bone?

A crest is not just a manmade thing
it is also created by generations of women
who wield swords through guile and letters.

Show me your kings,
and I will show you the queens that willed them,
that bred them, and taught them to do better. ~ Nikita Gill
Manmade quotes by Nikita Gill
Nature has no beauty forbidden
Manmade concrete slab: guilt-ridden
Wings or leaves whatever we may care
Those limbs with the birds only trees will share ~ Munia Khan
Manmade quotes by Munia Khan
Think about the adiamante." I was too tired to say much more. "It says more than I can." And it did - the hardest manmade substance, and it couldn't stand up to the souls of human beings. ~ L.E. Modesitt Jr.
Manmade quotes by L.E. Modesitt Jr.
Every manmade disaster begins when one man thinks for another. However benevolent they begin, the ultimate outcome is tyranny. ~ John Kramer
Manmade quotes by John Kramer
The official record for the fastest manmade object is the Helios 2 probe, which reached about 70 km/s in a close swing around the Sun. But it's possible the actual holder of that title is a two-ton metal manhole cover. The cover sat atop a shaft at an underground nuclear test site operated by Los Alamos as part of Operation Plumbbob. When the 1-kiloton nuke went off below, the facility effectively became a nuclear potato cannon, giving the cap a gigantic kick. A high-speed camera trained on the lid caught only one frame of it moving upward before it vanished - which means it was moving at a minimum of 66 km/s. The cap was never found. ~ Randall Munroe
Manmade quotes by Randall Munroe
The right wing conservatives think it's a decision that you can be cured with some treatment and religion.//Manmade rewiring of a predisposition//Oh no here we go, America the brave still fears what we don't know//But we paraphrase a book written 3500 years ago, I don't know ... ~ Macklemore
Manmade quotes by Macklemore
Nothing truly beautiful without its element of strangeness, nothing whole without its own incongruity, these (Jacksonville-area pioneer house) ruins sand up from the earth in sacred conjunction. These ruins conjoin the earth and the manmade, moving from one to the other and back again. The Browards built their house out of shell and limestone, and limestone forms naturally from the shells and skeletons of miniscule sea creatures over great periods of time. The Browards shaped the earth upright toward the sky. THey shaped it with doorframes and windows and chimneys. THey shaped the earth up around them as a shelter. But shaped earth was always the earth. Now the walls fall back down and join once again the ground, taken over by roots of ferns and weeds and small trees. The house was always the ground, only contained in an upward suspension. The house was always the earth, but brought up into architecture, and now the house that was always the earth crumbles back into the earth and nourishes new green things -- dog fennel and morning glories and palmettoes and cabbage palms and cedars. A true symbol of sacredness of the earth is earth's reclaiming of human ingenuity. ~ Tim Gilmore
Manmade quotes by Tim Gilmore
No span of steel will tolerate ... neglect. But if service by generations who use it and spared manmade hazards, such as war, it should have life without end. ~ Joseph Straus
Manmade quotes by Joseph Straus
One of the great gifts of the Enlightenment is that we can form communities without necessaily agreeing on ultimate metaphysical grounds. We know that to a great extent that the principles of social coordination are manmade, we recognise the right of the other to exist. This is something that distinguishes our part of the world from the middle East. ~ Roger Scruton
Manmade quotes by Roger Scruton
Religion is the archrival of intimate spirituality…Religion, a tiresome system of manmade dos and don'ts, woulds and shoulds – impotent to change human lives but tragically capable of devastating them – is what is left after a true love for God has drained away. Religion is the shell that is left after the real thing has disappeared. ~ Douglas Banister
Manmade quotes by Douglas Banister
Anytime that is 'betwixt and between' or transitional is the faeries' favorite time. They inhabit transitional spaces: the bottom of the garden, existing in a space between manmade cultivation and wilderness. Look for them in the space between nurture and nature, they are to be found at all boarders and boundaries, or on the edges of water where it is neither land nor lake, neither path nor pond. They come when we are half-asleep. They come at moments when we least expect them; when our rational mind balances with the fluid irrational. ~ Brian Froud
Manmade quotes by Brian Froud
It wasn't Hell; only fools and drama queens throw that word around about a place like Gotham. It was worse, in a way, because it was manmade. There wasn't any timeless malevolence behind it all, it was just ... what human beings can descend to when they let themselves forget they can be heroes. ~ Chris Dee
Manmade quotes by Chris Dee
Legalism insists on conformity to manmade religious rules and requirements, which are often unspoken but are nevertheless very real ... There are far too many instances within Christendom where our traditions and rules are, in practice, more important than God's commands. ~ Jerry Bridges
Manmade quotes by Jerry Bridges
Growing up, I decided, a long time ago, I wouldn't accept any manmade differences between human beings, differences made at somebody else's insistence or someone else's whim or convenience. ~ Maya Angelou
Manmade quotes by Maya Angelou
If you can contribute 45 minutes - one hour a day a week exercising, you're going to be a healthy person. You can cut down on diabetes and all of these manmade problems we have. I do embrace the fact that I can maybe be a voice for people to realize that it's not as hard that people think. I'm a pretty passionate person. ~ Mehcad Brooks
Manmade quotes by Mehcad Brooks

Manmade quotes by Philip Roth
Our inventions have long been ahead of us in terms of efficiency and sanity, productivity and predictability. Oh, how we've wished we could be manmade, too. What has been keeping us back, keeping us messy? The animal impediment, within and without. Eliminating these impediments, we will surely be catching up with our machines, resembling them more and more impeccably. ~ Amy Leach
Manmade quotes by Amy Leach
I love staring out toward the ocean and away from anything manmade. ~ Francis Chan
Manmade quotes by Francis Chan
All of the problems we're facing with debt are manmade problems. We created them. It's called fantasy economics. Fantasy economics only works in a fantasy world. It doesn't work in reality. ~ Michele Bachmann
Manmade quotes by Michele Bachmann
The earth is like a beautiful bride who needs no manmade jewels to heighten her loveliness ... ~ Khalil Gibran
Manmade quotes by Khalil Gibran
Yeah, this is what I think was a quality of movies, is you're in a group of people. You're sharing something with people. Whether those other people make you laugh more, you're all laughing. You're all happy together. There's something ... manmade about that in a way that's - I'm not sure how that manifests itself in nature, but culturally we've set that up when we invented theater and the movies and all that stuff. ~ Paul Reubens
Manmade quotes by Paul Reubens
If you can give the wisdom of life to a child; teach to love all regardless of what they believe in, that life is a precious gift to all, judgments of hell and heaven are manmade concept and that every one's purpose in life is to serve Humanity at large... ~ Husam Wafaei
