I did drugs for 18 years and I never got that bad as to say, 'You know what? I think the Kaiser Chiefs are brilliant.' ~ Noel Gallagher
Kaiser quotes by Noel Gallagher
The safest part of your journey is over. Now drive home safely. - ANONYMOUS PILOT ~ Kaiser Fung
Kaiser quotes by Kaiser Fung
It was ever and always the plain offer of God to all the peoples of the earth through his elected servants of the promise-plan. ~ Walter C. Kaiser Jr.
Kaiser quotes by Walter C. Kaiser Jr.
When your work speaks for itself, don't interrupt. ~ Henry J. Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by Henry J. Kaiser
Naming rights are a seductive philanthropic inducement, yet more anonymous operational support may better advance the charitable purpose. ~ George Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by George Kaiser
Once you asked me what I'm thinking,
I lay back and think of England. ~ Kaiser Chiefs
Kaiser quotes by Kaiser Chiefs
The failure of the talks between Chamberlain and the German ambassador in London, the public and private outbursts of the Kaiser, the well-reported anti-British and pro-Boer sentiment among the German public, even the silly controversy over whether Chamberlain had insulted the Prussian army, all left their residue of mistrust and resentments in Britain as well as in Germany. ~ Margaret MacMillan
Kaiser quotes by Margaret MacMillan
Give me a woman who loves beer and I will conquer the world. ~ Kaiser Wilhelm
Kaiser quotes by Kaiser Wilhelm
When you step into your power and your true authentic self, you shine. You shine so brightly that the world tries to keep up. ~ Shannon Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by Shannon Kaiser
Yes, read about jobs and your hours and wages. Yes, you must strike, you must have better lives. But you must read also about the stars - and about the big spaces - silent - not one single little sound for many, many million years. To be free you must grow as big as that - inside of your head, inside of your soul. It is not enough to be free of a czar, a kaiser or a sweatshop boss. What will you do when they are gone? My fine people, how will you run the world? You are deaf and blind, you must be free to open your own ears and eyes, to look into the books and see what is there - great thoughts and feelings, great ideas! And when you have seen, then you must think - you must think it all out every time! That is freedom! ~ Ernest Poole
Kaiser quotes by Ernest Poole
Mind control survivors have identified doctors used by the CIA under Project MKULTRA as having used different aliases. I have personally spoken and corresponded with many of these child Cold War survivors. It seems colors were one of the most commonly used themes. Many survivors have identified Josef Mengele as using the aliases Dr. Green, Dr. Black, Dr. Swartz (black in German), Father Joseph, or Vaterchen (daddy) when he did their programming. The experiments and programming he used on us were of such a heinous nature, that they were not unlike some of those performed at Auschwitz.

In 1937, Mengele was appointed research assistant at the Third Reich Institute for Heredity, Biology, and Racial Purity. Mengele provided "experimental materials" to the Kaiser-Wilhelm Institute of Anthropology from twins including eyes, blood, and other body parts from Auschwitz. Mengele fled Auschwitz in January 1945 before the Russians liberated the camp. French government documents state that the Americans captured Mengele in 1946. According to the French, Mengele "was released without explanation by the Americans on November 19, 1946." The French claimed that American authorities confirmed the Mengele arrest and release on Feb. 29, 1947. ~ Carol Rutz
Kaiser quotes by Carol Rutz
The fact is that Britain is the most warlike nation on earth. In the history of armed combat, we are the only democracy to have declared war on another democracy - England versus Finland in the second world war, in case you're interested - and we're always at the front of the queue when Johnny Foreigner gets a bit uppity. Who stood up to the Kaiser? Who stood up to Adolf? And let's not forget the Argies. What other country would have sent its fleet halfway round the world and lost 250 men to protect a flock of sheep and some oil that might or might not be there? We're still at it. ~ Jeremy Clarkson
Kaiser quotes by Jeremy Clarkson
Maybe the perceived fact that smart, rich parents tended to have smart, rich kids was largely due to the fact that they also tended to have stay-at-home moms or nannies who read to their kids, held them, put mobiles over their cribs, playing those annoying ditties, and sent them off for SAT training at six months. ~ George Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by George Kaiser
War is not the quintessential emergency in which man has to prove himself, as my generation learned at its school desks in the days of the Kaiser; rather, peace is the emergency in which we all have to prove ourselves. ~ Gustav Heinemann
Kaiser quotes by Gustav Heinemann
Big guns are good but the Almighty is better, and He is on our side, no matter what the Kaiser says about it. ~ L.M. Montgomery
Kaiser quotes by L.M. Montgomery
We're involved in a very large study that's federally funded and being done with Kaiser Permanente, and saliva is a very non-invasive way to get cells from the body. ~ Elizabeth Blackburn
Kaiser quotes by Elizabeth Blackburn
Largely because of a shortage of ammunition, the United States would be entirely unable to undertake major military operations for at least a year. ~ David E. Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by David E. Kaiser
I was sick of the way my lyrics had been extrapolated, their meanings subverted into polemics and that I had been anointed as the Big Bubba of Rebellion, High Priest of Protest, the Duke of Disobedience, Leader of the Freeloaders, Kaiser of Apostasy, Archbishop of Anarchy, the Big Cheese. Horrible titles any way you want to look at it. All code words for Outlaw. ~ Bob Dylan
Kaiser quotes by Bob Dylan
Suddenly, Kaiser Corbane came outta nowhere! They thought they were safe! THEY WERE WRONG! ~ Alexander Engel-Hodgkinson
Kaiser quotes by Alexander Engel-Hodgkinson
It only makes the voice in my head grow louder. And when the voice grows loud enough to push past my lips, the Kaiser grows angry ~ Laura Sebastian
Kaiser quotes by Laura Sebastian
There is one thing I'd like to know, though,' says Albert, 'and that's whether there would still have been a war if the Kaiser had said no.' 'I'm sure there would,' I put in. 'After all, they say that he didn't want to fight at all at the beginning.' 'Well, if not just him, then perhaps if, let's say twenty or thirty people in the world had said no?' 'Maybe not then,' I admit. 'But they all did want a war. ~ Erich Maria Remarque
Kaiser quotes by Erich Maria Remarque
I am the window-cleaner, here to cause the cleansing pain. ~ Ernst Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by Ernst Kaiser
Nineteenth-century liberalism had assumed that man was a rational being who operated naturally according to his own best interests, so that in the end, what was reasonable would prevail. On this principle liberals defended extension of the suffrage toward the goal of one man, one vote. But a rise in literacy and in the right to vote, as the event proved, did nothing to increase common sense in politics. The mob that is moved by waving the bloody shirt, that decides elections in response to slogans - Free Silver, Hang the Kaiser, Two Cars in Every Garage - is not exhibiting any greater political sense than Marie Antoinette, who said, "Let them eat cake," or Caligula, who made his horse a consul. The common man proved no wiser than the decadent aristocrat. He has not shown in public affairs the innate wisdom which democracy presumed he possessed. ~ Barbara W. Tuchman
Kaiser quotes by Barbara W. Tuchman
Face life's challenges head-on.
Make peace with your body.
Take responsibility for your heart.
Build a meaningful career.
Learn how to handle the tough times.
Face your anxieties.
Take ownership of your finances.
Master the use of your time.
Practice dynamic communication.
Find the right level of flexibility.

In short, own up. ~ Stacy Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by Stacy Kaiser
It is not only that Germany has been defeated in the war, Kaiser Wilhelm's Germany was defeated. ~ C.L.R. James
Kaiser quotes by C.L.R. James
If you carry a weapon, it is always to kill. Do not think it is to defend yourself. If you draw your weapon, never get closer than three meters to the person you want to kill, ~ Charles Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by Charles Kaiser
It is clear now why Christianity played a significant role in launching the scientific revolution in the first place. Only a biblical worldview provides an adequate epistemology for science. First, a rational God created the world with an intelligible structure, and second, he created humans in his image. In the words of historian Richard Cohen, science required the concept of a "rational creator of all things," along with the corollary that "we lesser rational beings might, by virtue of that Godlike rationality, be able to decipher the laws of nature." Theologian Christopher Kaiser states the same idea succinctly: the early scientists assumed that "the same Logos that is responsible for its ordering is also reflected in human reason. ~ Nancy Pearcey
Kaiser quotes by Nancy Pearcey
I think that American salesmanship can be a weapon more powerful than the atomic bomb. ~ Henry J. Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by Henry J. Kaiser
see you here, lad; old Kaiser Bill couldn't frighten ~ Elizabeth Elgin
Kaiser quotes by Elizabeth Elgin
I am a soldier and I worked for the kaiser, under Ebert, Hindenburg, and Hitler, all the same way, for the past 44 years. ~ Wilhelm Keitel
Kaiser quotes by Wilhelm Keitel
When nothing becomes the vocal
Then nothing becomes the focal
And nothing's becoming at all ~ Kate Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by Kate Kaiser
There was a happy irony in the first cousin of the autocratic Kaiser Wilhelm II and Tsar Nicholas II (with whom George bore a striking resemblance) furthering British democracy. ~ Paul Ham
Kaiser quotes by Paul Ham
Polls show that Americans significantly overestimate the percentage of the federal budget allocated to foreign aid. In November 2013, a Kaiser Family Foundation survey found that, on average, Americans believe that 28 percent of the federal budget is spent on foreign assistance, and more than 60 percent of people say that's too much. But in reality we spend less than 1 percent of the budget on foreign aid. ~ Hillary Rodham Clinton
Kaiser quotes by Hillary Rodham Clinton
We are in charge of our own lives and how we spend our time. You should never do something you don't want to do. Lives are incredibly short. If it doesn't feel right to do something then you have permission to not do it. Who cares what other people will think? ~ Shannon Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by Shannon Kaiser
If we couldn't dream, our lives wouldn't mean anything anymore. ~ Georg Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by Georg Kaiser
That the Rhineland should be occupied by an international force until the dispute with Hitler can be resolved, the ~ Charles Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by Charles Kaiser
Torah is not merely a collection of prohibitions, rigid strictures and boring observances. Rather, it is a narrative of the blessings and promises of God initially offered to one person and family, but through which the whole world will ultimately be blessed. ~ Walter C. Kaiser Jr.
Kaiser quotes by Walter C. Kaiser Jr.
The Kaiser Wilhelm Institute's eugenics studies were initially endowed by Gustav Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach, the head of the Krupp munitions monolith, and James Loeb, of the Kuhn-Loeb banking family. Loeb's relatives, the Warburgs, were banking partners of William Rockefeller, and both families were responsible for setting up the American Harriman family - also movers and shakers in eugenics - in business. ~ Jim Keith
Kaiser quotes by Jim Keith
I suppose I arrived at my charitable commitment largely through guilt. I recognized early on that my good fortune was not due to superior personal character or initiative so much as it was to dumb luck. ~ George Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by George Kaiser
It is plain, therefore, that if, when the Constitution says treason, it means treason - treason in fact, and nothing else - there is no ground at all for pretending that the Southern people have committed that crime. But if, on the other hand, when the Constitution says treason, it means what the Czar and the Kaiser mean by treason, then our government is, in principle, no better than theirs; and has no claim whatever to be considered a free government. ~ Lysander Spooner
Kaiser quotes by Lysander Spooner
Trouble is only opportunity in work clothes. ~ Henry J. Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by Henry J. Kaiser
Man was not made to be guilty, sin is not interesting, the only ethics are those which lead man toward the greater things he carries in himself. ~ Charles Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by Charles Kaiser
As the weather improved, the bobms got worse. The newspapers said that the Kaiser was aiming to knock London down (although avoiding Buckingham Palace, so as not to hit his relations). ~ Kate Williams
Kaiser quotes by Kate Williams
Due to lack of interest tomorrow is cancelled. ~ Kaiser Chiefs
Kaiser quotes by Kaiser Chiefs
Tall, black-haired, rouged, Kaiser-moustached, he cackled and screamed in weird attitudes, giggling in high soprano, hiding his little black teeth behind an exquisitely gloved hand - the 'poseur' absolute. He was said to have slept with Sarah Bernhard and vomited for a week afterwards. ~ William Sansom
Kaiser quotes by William Sansom
Trouble is only an opportunity in work clothes. ~ Henry J. Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by Henry J. Kaiser
I work out with a trainer, Anna Kaiser, three days a week. ~ Kelly Ripa
Kaiser quotes by Kelly Ripa
It takes a truly dedicated person to see opportunities in every aspect
of life ~ Shannon Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by Shannon Kaiser
Housman would not have appealed so deeply to the people who were young in 1920 if it had not been for another strain in him, and that was his blasphemous, antinomian, "cynical" strain. The fight that always occurs between the generations was exceptionally bitter at the end of the Great War; this was partly due to the war itself, and partly it was an indirect result of the Russian Revolution, but an intellectual struggle was in any case due at about that date. Owing probably to the ease and security of life in England, which even the war hardly disturbed, many people whose ideas were formed in the 'eighties or earlier had carried them quite unmodified into the nineteen-twenties. Meanwhile, so far as the younger generation was concerned, the official beliefs were dissolving like sand-castles. The slump in religious belief, for instance, was spectacular. For several years the old - young antagonism took on a quality of real hatred. What was left of the war generation had crept out of the massacre to find their elders still bellowing the slogans of 1914, and a slightly younger generation of boys were writhing under dirty-minded celibate schoolmasters. It was to these that Housman appealed, with his implied sexual revolt and his personal grievance against God. He was patriotic, it was true, but in a harmless old-fashioned way, to the tune of red coats and "God save the Queen" rather than steel helmets and "Hang the Kaiser." And he was satisfyingly anti-Christian - he stood for a k ~ George Orwell
Kaiser quotes by George Orwell
A war always comes to someone else. In Salinas we were aware that the United States was the greatest and most powerful nation in the world. Every American was a rifleman by birth, and one American was worth ten or twenty foreigners in a fight. Pershing's expedition into Mexico after Villa had exploded one of our myths for a little while. We had truly believed that Mexicans can't shoot straight and besides were lazy and stupid. When our own Troop C came wearily back from the border they said that none of this was true […] Somehow we didn't connect Germans with Mexicans. We went right back to our own myths. One American was as good as twenty Germans. This being true, we had only to act in a stern manner to bring the Kaiser to heel. He wouldn't dare interfere with our trade--but he did. He wouldn't stick out his neck and and sink our ships--and he did. It was stupid, but he did, and so there was nothing for it but to fight him. The war, at first anyway, was for other people. We, I, my family and friends, had kind of bleacher seats, and it was pretty exciting. And just as war is always for somebody else, so it is also that somebody else always gets killed. And Mother of God! that wasn't true either. The dreadful telegrams began to sneak sorrowfully in, and it was everybody's brother. Here we were, over six thousand miles from the anger and the noise, and that didn't save us […] The draftees wouldn't look at their mothers. They didn't dare. We'd never thought the war could happen ~ John Steinbeck
Kaiser quotes by John Steinbeck
The prejudice of the Americans against monarchy, which Mr. Lloyd George made no attempt to counteract, had made it clear to the beaten Empire that it would have better treatment from the Allies as a republic than as a monarchy. Wise policy would have crowned and fortified the Weimar Republic with a constitutional sovereign in the person of an infant grandson of the Kaiser, under a Council of Regency. ~ Winston S. Churchill
Kaiser quotes by Winston S. Churchill
Eight hundred small boats had loaded 338,000 men into larger ships during the legendary evacuation of Allied troops from Dunkirk, including 500 French officers and 18,000 French sailors, to prevent them from being captured or killed by the Germans. ~ Charles Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by Charles Kaiser
China. The Kaiser had temporarily ~ Margaret MacMillan
Kaiser quotes by Margaret MacMillan
Love people and serve them. ~ Henry J. Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by Henry J. Kaiser
Canon gives orders that no more prayers are to be offered up for the British government. ~ Charles Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by Charles Kaiser
Rich, smart parents tend to have rich, smart kids - not because it's genetic but because they can create a home environment and sensory stimulation that lower-income kids often don't get. ~ George Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by George Kaiser
He is against politics in general and longs for the restitution of the monarchy. They have seen nothing but rioting and inflation in the five years since Wilhelm II abdicated. And Ania knows not to mention the Communists. Her father has not recovered from the shock of their brief takeover of Bavaria, which, for a few weeks in 1919, became the Bavarian Soviet Republic. If he begins on the subject, no one will hear of anything else for days. For Doktor Fortzmann all was better under the kaiser. ~ Jessica Shattuck
Kaiser quotes by Jessica Shattuck
Stop," Jesse said.
I stared up at him, almost panting with fear.
"Stop, beloved," he said more gently, and took up my clenched fist with both hands. "I've upset you, and I shouldn't have. I don't want you to dread yourself. I don't want you to dread what is to come. Like I said, you're exceptional, so there may be nothing to worry about at all. But whatever happens, whatever you face, I'll face it with you. Do you hear?"
"How can you say it? It nearly happened on the roof today. You can't know-"
"I will be with you. We're together now, and the universe knows I won't let you make your sacrifice alone. Dragon protects star. Star adores dragon. An age-old axiom. Simple as that."
I looked down at our hands, both of his curled over mine. I unclenched my fist. Blood from the thorn smeared my skin.
"The universe," I muttered. "The same universe that has produced the Kaiser and bedbugs and Chloe Pemington. How reassuring."
With the same absolute concentration he might have shown for turning flowers into gold, Jesse Holms smoothed out my fingers between his, wiping away the blood. He turned my hand over and lifted it to his lips. His next words fell soft as velvet into the heart of my palm.
"Those nights, in the sweetest dark, we shared our dreams. That's you answer. I was stitched into yours, and you were stitched into mind, and that was real, I promise you." I felt his lips curve into a smile. The unbelievably sensual, ticklish scuff of his w ~ Shana Abe
Kaiser quotes by Shana Abe
People complain that our generation has no philosophers. They are wrong. They now sit in another faculty. Their names are Max Planck and Albert Einstein. Upon appointment as the first president of the Kaiser Wilhelm Society, Berlin, formed for the advancement of science. ~ Adolf Von Harnack
Kaiser quotes by Adolf Von Harnack
As the world stood on the brink of war in August 1914, the local paper of a small town in the west of Ireland took a stand: 'We give this solemn warning to Kaiser Wilhelm: The Skibbereen Eagle has its eye on you. ~ Robert Hutton
Kaiser quotes by Robert Hutton
In the charitable world as in the business world, opportunities should drive budgets, not the other way around. ~ George Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by George Kaiser
The Kaiser should have killed me when he had the chance. ~ Laura Sebastian
Kaiser quotes by Laura Sebastian
In April war was declared with Germany. Wilson and his cabinet - a cabinet that in its lack of distinction was strangely reminiscent of the twelve apostles - let loose the carefully starved dogs of war, and the press began to whoop hysterically against the sinister morals, sinister philosophy, and sinister music produced by the Teutonic temperament. Those who fancied themselves particularly broad-minded made the exquisite distinction that it was only the German Government which aroused them to hysteria; the rest were worked up to a condition of retching indecency. Any song which contained the word "mother" and the word "kaiser" was assured of a tremendous success. At last every one had something to talk about - and almost every one fully enjoyed it, as though they had been cast for parts in a sombre and romantic play. ~ F Scott Fitzgerald
Kaiser quotes by F Scott Fitzgerald
I always have to dream up there against the stars. If I don't dream I will make it, I won't even get close. ~ Henry J. Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by Henry J. Kaiser
61 lynchings occurred in 1920 alone. In 1921, 62, some of the victims, soldiers returning from the Great War who after fighting and winning significant victories - just as they had fought in the Revolutionary and Civil wars and the wars again the Indians - thought that America would repay them for the generosity of putting their lives on the line, for aiding in salvaging their hides from the Kaiser who had been tagged "enemy" this time. Instead, a Protestant country ignorant even of Western mysteries executes soldiers after a manner of punishments dealt to witches in the "Middle Ages." Europe and the Catholic Church are horrified but not surprised at this "tough guy" across the waters whose horrendous murders in Salem led Europe to reform its "witch laws. ~ Ishmael Reed
Kaiser quotes by Ishmael Reed
Presently the newly awakened psychology will gradually accomplish what pure religious devotion might have done: throw out Paul, and let Jesus in! ~ Jan Willem Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by Jan Willem Kaiser
Put your life's plan into determined action and go after what you want with all that's in you. ~ Henry J. Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by Henry J. Kaiser
America's 'social contract' is equal opportunity ... yet we have failed in achieving that seminal goal. ~ George Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by George Kaiser
What led Germany to this strange pass was itself strange. After the war, many were happy to wipe away the old order and rid themselves of the kaiser. But when the old monarch at last left the palace, the people who had clamored for his exit were suddenly lost. They found themselves in the absurd position of the dog who, having caught the car he was so frantically chasing, has no idea what to do with it
so he looks about guiltily and then slinks away. Germany had no history of democracy and no idea how it worked, so the country broke apart into a riot of factions, with each faction blaming the others for everything that went wrong. This much they knew: under the kaiser there had been law and order and structure; now there was chaos. The kaiser had been the symbol of the nation; now there were only petty politicians. ~ Eric Metaxas
Kaiser quotes by Eric Metaxas
Up until the 1950s the subject of the missionary movement was referred to as "missions" in the plural form. In fact, the term "missions" was first used in its current context by the Jesuits in the sixteenth century. But the International Missionary Council discussions in the 1950s on the missio- Dei convinced most that the mission of the Triune God was prior to any of the number of missions by Christians during the two millennia of church history. Consequently, since there was only one mission, the plural form has dropped out of familir usage and the singular form, "mission," has replaced it for the most part. Nevertheless, most churches and lay-persons hang on the plural missions. For that reason, and to make our point clear here, we will refer to it in this work from time to time while alerting believers to the coming change. ~ Walter C. Kaiser Jr.
Kaiser quotes by Walter C. Kaiser Jr.
Live daringly, boldly, fearlessly. Taste the relish to be found in competition - in having put forth the best within you. ~ Henry J. Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by Henry J. Kaiser
You must drop all your democracy. You must not believe in 'the people.' One class is no better than another. It must be a case of Wisdom, or Truth. Let the working classes be working classes. That is the truth. There must be an aristocracy of people who have wisdom, and there must be a Ruler: a Kaiser: no Presidents and democracies. ~ D.H. Lawrence
Kaiser quotes by D.H. Lawrence
Those who have won the ovarian lottery by being born in an advanced society to loving parents have a special obligation to help restore the American Dream. ~ George Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by George Kaiser
Recalled Sir Edward Spears, the wartime liaison between Churchill and de Gaulle. We had 15,000 French sailors at Liverpool. I went to speak to them. I tried to persuade them to continue the fighting. Impossible ... ~ Charles Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by Charles Kaiser
During the desperate depression of the 1980s, there were no oil and gas companies without net operating losses. ~ George Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by George Kaiser
We're collecting about 100,000 telomere lengths in saliva samples and then looking at how those relate to both the extensive longitudinal clinical records that Kaiser is collecting and the genome sequence variations. ~ Elizabeth Blackburn
Kaiser quotes by Elizabeth Blackburn
The Kaiser was enough of a man to stand a tough, confidential message--and enough of a woman, presumably, to retreat if it could be made to look glamorous. ~ Edmund Morris
Kaiser quotes by Edmund Morris
These men wanted Hitler in a position to put an end to the Republic and to return Germany to the days of the Kaiser. But then the chancellor had become a dictator, putting himself and his followers above the , and now they were using that power to strip the Jews of their rights ~ Ellen Marie Wiseman
Kaiser quotes by Ellen Marie Wiseman
It's often pretty hard to speak to others about my cancer. I have a number of pet peeves. Many folks are overly solicitous. They can't do enough for you. There's that Kaiser nurse who keeps asking "Isn't there someone who can drive you here?" And some people are too prying. I think they are voyeuristic and attempt to satisfy their morbid curiosity about having cancer. I don't like that and have sometimes wanted to say, "Go get your own damn fatal illness. ~ Irvin D. Yalom
Kaiser quotes by Irvin D. Yalom
My story begins in nineteen-dickety-two. We had to say -dickety- because the Kaiser had stolen our word -twenty-. I chased that rascal to get it back, but gave up after dickety-six miles. What are you cackling at, fatty? Too much pie, that's your problem! Now, I'd like to digress from my prepared remarks to discuss how I invented the terlet... ~ Grandpa Simpson
Kaiser quotes by Grandpa Simpson
I prefer doing things rather than sitting around talking about doing things. ~ George Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by George Kaiser
So long, Lee. Give our regards to the Kaiser. And tell him there's a few boys on 58th Street who'll throw a party for him if he'll drop around. ~ James T. Farrell
Kaiser quotes by James T. Farrell
Kaiser and Lenz are staring at each other like hunters who have walked into a thicket after a lion and found a unicorn. ~ Greg Iles
Kaiser quotes by Greg Iles
Truly, learning appears to be a reverse geometric progression with experiences at one hour, one day, one month or one year dramatically more influential and formative than later experiences. As has often been quoted, 85% of brain development takes place by age 3, and yet we spend only 4% of our educational dollars by that point. ~ George Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by George Kaiser
I make progress by having people around me who are smarter than I am and listening to them. And I assume that everyone is smarter about something than I am. ~ Henry J. Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by Henry J. Kaiser
Right from the start most German generals knew that Hitler was psychotic. But as long as he was winning the war, almost all of them were happy to overlook that detail ~ Charles Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by Charles Kaiser
All but 50 of these officers and 200 of these sailors will return home to occupied France, rather than stay in Britain to fight the Germans. Their idea was to get out of the war ~ Charles Kaiser
Kaiser quotes by Charles Kaiser
These modern analysts! They charge so much. In my day, for five marks Freud himself would treat you. For ten marks, he would treat you and press your pants. For fifteen marks, Freud would let you treat him, and that included a choice of any two vegetables. Thirty dollars an hour! Fifty dollars an hour! The Kaiser only got twelve and a quarter for being Kaiser! And he had to walk to work! And the length of treatment! Two years! Five years! If one of us couldn't cure a patient in six months we would refund his money, take him to any musical revue and he would receive either a mahogany fruit bowl or a set of stainless steel carving knives. I remember you could always tell the patients Jung failed with, as he would give them large stuffed pandas. ~ Woody Allen
Kaiser quotes by Woody Allen
