That combination of thought and action defines creative confidence: the ability to come up with new ideas and the courage to try them out. ~ Tom Kelley
Creative Confidence quotes by Tom Kelley
In learning to Juggle, the angst comes from failure - from having the ball fall to the floor. So with step one, numb aspiring jugglers to that. Having the ball fall to the floor becomes more normal than the ball not falling to the floor. ~ Tom Kelly
Creative Confidence quotes by Tom Kelly
creative confidence is about believing in your ability to create change in the world around you. ~ Tom Kelley
Creative Confidence quotes by Tom Kelley
Creative confidence and perseverance can make you free. Lack of faith in your own ability, surrender of will power, or panic replacing logic will make you into a spider's lunch. ~ Doug "Ten" Rose
Creative Confidence quotes by Doug
Many people do not develop their creativity or lose their creative confidence because they dare not produce anything for fear of rejection. Truly creative people break past that restraint and share their talent to others. They redefine rules because they know that creativity gives a feeling of fulfillment. ~ Christopher Michaels
Creative Confidence quotes by Christopher Michaels
I love finding new creative partnerships but then continuing the partnerships I'm already in. ~ Damon Lindelof
Creative Confidence quotes by Damon Lindelof
Just as creativity enables us to envision novel solutions to tough problems, it can also enable us to develop original paths around rules, all the while allowing us to reinterpret information in a self-serving way. Putting our creative minds to work can help us come up with a narrative that lets us have our cake and eat it too, and create stories in which we're always the hero, never the villain. If the key to our dishonesty is our ability to think of ourselves as honest and moral people while at the same time benefitting from cheating, creativity can help us tell better stories - stories that allow us to be even more dishonest but still think of ourselves as wonderfully honest people. ~ Dan Ariely
Creative Confidence quotes by Dan Ariely
You have no confidence when you come out of surgery because you can't really do anything. You're like, 'Man, am I ever going to heal?' ~ Rob Gronkowski
Creative Confidence quotes by Rob Gronkowski
Time and again in my clients, I have seen simple people become significant and creative in their own spheres, as they have developed more trust of the processes going on within themselves, and have dared to feel their own feelings, live by values which they discover within, and express themselves in their own unique ways. ~ Carl R. Rogers
Creative Confidence quotes by Carl R. Rogers
Anyone who does anything creative is always gonna want to change. ~ Will Ferrell
Creative Confidence quotes by Will Ferrell
Although, dear Lord, I have no feeling of confidence in Thee, I know all the same that Thou art my God, that I am wholly Thine, and that I have no hope but in Thy goodness; therefore I abandon myself entirely into Thy hands. ~ Francis De Sales
Creative Confidence quotes by Francis De Sales
Love for our neighbor, being made of creative attention, is analogous to genius. ~ Simone Weil
Creative Confidence quotes by Simone Weil
Limiting beliefs are things we mistakenly hold as truths about ourselves. As they inform our identities, they give us permission to pursue certain dreams, act in a certain way, have confidence in our abilities, or think we do or don't have the right to do certain things. We think these are laws, that we have to learn to live within their bouns. But this is simply not the case. ~ Dave Hollis
Creative Confidence quotes by Dave Hollis
What makes people good communicators is, in essence, an ability not to be fazed by the more problematic or offbeat aspects of their own characters. They can contemplate their anger, their sexuality, and their unpopular, awkward, or unfashionable opinions without losing confidence or collapsing into self-disgust. They can speak clearly because they have managed to develop a priceless sense of their own acceptability. They like themselves well enough to believe that they are worthy of, and can win, the goodwill of others if only they have the wherewithal to present themselves with the right degree of patience and imagination. As children, these good communicators must have been blessed with caregivers who knew how to love their charges without demanding that every last thing about them be agreeable and perfect. Such parents would have been able to live with the idea that their offspring might sometimes - for a while, at least - be odd, violent, angry, mean, peculiar, ~ Alain De Botton
Creative Confidence quotes by Alain De Botton
I love the idea of creative collaboration. I love the idea of exploring marriages, particularly ones that are in process for a long time. ~ Sacha Gervasi
Creative Confidence quotes by Sacha Gervasi
There was no way to lead up to this gently. With a surge of assertiveness driven by desire as well as a couple of cosmopolitans, she took both his hands in hers and mustered up her confidence. "I want you to lick me cross-eyed."
"You want me to what?"
"Okay, that sounded better inside my head." She squeezed his hands. "I want sex. Great sex. Alex, let's do it. ~ Selena Robins
Creative Confidence quotes by Selena Robins
It's fun to be creative and innovative and come up with something crazy. So I need people to work with who are not going to be afraid to take it to the left a bit. ~ Aaliyah
Creative Confidence quotes by Aaliyah
I was in Washington State, at a small-town YMCA, when a boy wandered into the lap lane and popped his head, seal-like, out of the water. I would later learn that he was nine, but at the time he was just this kid, slightly pudgy, with a stern haircut. It's like he went to a barbershop with a picture of Hitler, that's how severe it was. We got to talking, and when I told him I wasn't a very good swimmer, he challenged me to a race. I think he assumed that, like most adults, I'd slow down and intentionally let him win, but he didn't know who he was dealing with. I need all the confidence I can get, and one victory is just as good as any other. Thus I swam for my very life and beat the pants off him. I thought this was it - he'd accept his defeat and move on with his life - but five minutes later he stopped me again and asked me if I believed in God. "No," I told him. "Why?" I thought for a second. Because I have hair on my back, and a lot of other people, people who kill and rob and make life miserable, don't. A real God wouldn't let that happen. ~ David Sedaris
Creative Confidence quotes by David Sedaris
Lovingly crafted and super-creative cupcakes are not exactly on tap in my household after a full day at work, and I do not blame my mother for a second that they were not on tap in hers, either. ~ Emily Oster
Creative Confidence quotes by Emily Oster
Wise men have but few confidants, and cunning ones none. ~ Josh Billings
Creative Confidence quotes by Josh Billings
In England everything is liberalised. Within certain boundaries and rules everybody can do what he likes. Maybe London's society has a different tempo, a different dynamic. London is fast, productive, creative but it is not England. If you want to transfer that to football, you could say: in the four big English clubs and maybe in the one or two behind them there is a top level. Everything that comes after that rather mirrors English society. It's honest, fair and hard, sometimes also fast, but not always so perfect. ~ Jens Lehmann
Creative Confidence quotes by Jens Lehmann
We must start from what seems a be a nullity, the unknowable, the inexpressible, the creative mystery wherein we are established. We cannot become more exact than this without introducing falsehood. ~ D.H. Lawrence
Creative Confidence quotes by D.H. Lawrence
You can be creative in anything - in math, science, engineering, philosophy - as much as you can in music or in painting or in dance. ~ Ken Robinson
Creative Confidence quotes by Ken Robinson
Creative people come often at a stark difference between the kind and the mean spirited. Be they an artist or not in life their personal ingenuity is often a marvel to behold. They create opportunities where none were just seconds prior in existence. Creative souls without flexibility are
an easy hallmark for a tyrant in behavior. The opposite is also true those creative types open to flexibility are usually more often than not easy going in demeanor. When such subcategories of personalities are highly intuitive they also
shift their behavior to match the presence of their peers. Very much like an empathic chameleon able to change its colors so as to fit in out of habit or necessity. ~ Ivan Alexander Pozo-Illas
Creative Confidence quotes by Ivan Alexander Pozo-Illas
I used to wake up and look at our analytics and think, 'What if yesterday was the last day anyone used Pinterest?' Like, everyone collectively decided, 'We're done!' Over time I got more confidence. ~ Ben Silbermann
Creative Confidence quotes by Ben Silbermann
The word of God renewed my mind. ~ Lailah Gifty Akita
Creative Confidence quotes by Lailah Gifty Akita
Self confidence. Let's fight the demon that make us look smaller than we truly are. Your dream is worth it. ~ Daniel Vlcek
Creative Confidence quotes by Daniel Vlcek
Step forward out of your own lingering residual sense of smallness, take up every inch of life that is your blessed inheritance, and DO YOUR THING. ~ Elizabeth Gilbert
Creative Confidence quotes by Elizabeth Gilbert
Corporal Nobbs," he rasped, "why are you kicking people when they're down?" "Safest way, sir," said Nobby. Nobby had long ago been told about fighting fair and not striking a fallen opponent, and had then given some creative thought to how these rules applied to someone four feet tall with the muscle tone of an elastic band. ~ Terry Pratchett
Creative Confidence quotes by Terry Pratchett
I never remain passive in the process of reading: while I read I am engaged in a constant creative activity, which leads me to remember not so much the actual matter of the book as the thoughts evoked in my mind by it, directly or indirectly. ~ Nikolai Berdyaev
Creative Confidence quotes by Nikolai Berdyaev
A creative period in art is
determined by the order of a particular style applied to the disorder of a particular time. It gives form and
formulas to contemporary passions. ~ Albert Camus
Creative Confidence quotes by Albert Camus
We can't be creative if we refuse to be confused. Change always starts with confusion; cherished interpretations must dissolve to make way for what's new. Great ideas and inventions miraculously appear in the space of not knowing. ~ Margaret J. Wheatley
Creative Confidence quotes by Margaret J. Wheatley
Getting started with something new was always the scariest part. The rest was just confidence and practice. ~ Bella Andre
Creative Confidence quotes by Bella Andre
Being a screenwriter is not enough for a full creative life. ~ William Goldman
Creative Confidence quotes by William Goldman
The darker side of Nietzsche's ideas was incorporated into the Nazi belief system. Part of the link was straightforward: some things Nietzsche said were pure Nazi doctrine. His comments that 'The extinction of many types of people is just as desirable as any form of reproduction' and that 'the tendency must be towards the rendering extinct of the wretched, the deformed, the degenerate' could come from any work on racial hygiene.

Nietzsche's central contribution was not these explicitly Social Darwinist views, but his rejection of the Judeo-Christian morality of compassion for the weak. Self-creation required hardness towards oneself: a strong will imposing coherence on conflicting impulses. It also requires hardness on others. Conflicts between the self-creative projects of different people made inevitable the attempt to dominate others. The whole of life was a struggle in which victory went to the brave and to the strong-willed. Noble human qualities, linked with the will to power, were brought out in combat but atrophied in peace. Compassion was weakness, cowardice and self-deception. The Judeo-Christian emphasis on it was poison. In drawing these consequences from his beliefs about the death of God and from Social Darwinism, Nietzsche provided the part of the Nazi belief system which 'justified' the cruel steps they took to implement their other beliefs. ~ Jonathan Glover
Creative Confidence quotes by Jonathan Glover
How can you have confidence in a woman who will not risk entrusting her whole life to you, day and night? ~ Cesare Pavese
Creative Confidence quotes by Cesare Pavese
I will work on myself, since the work on myself is going to be the highest thing I can do for it all, since I understand that as man up-levels his own consciousness, he sees more creative solutions to the problems that he's confronting. ~ Ram Dass
Creative Confidence quotes by Ram Dass
The way we are annoying them, being playful and having a good time with our body - it's something very important for young women today to have that confidence. I think it's actually celebrating women and their bodies. ~ Emily Ratajkowski
Creative Confidence quotes by Emily Ratajkowski
It seemed perfectly possible that, in spite of my certainty of my own genius, I might die of some illness, or perhaps even in a street accident, before I had ever glimpsed the meaning of life. My moods of happiness and self-confidence convinced me that I had a "destiny" to become a famous writer, and to be remembered as one of the most important thinkers of the century. ~ Colin Wilson
Creative Confidence quotes by Colin Wilson
The balance between confidence and humility is best learned through extensive experience and mistakes. ~ Michael Steinhardt
Creative Confidence quotes by Michael Steinhardt
Violence is not confidence, and terror is not mastery. ~ Timothy Snyder
Creative Confidence quotes by Timothy Snyder
I think that is a really good message, especially for young girls to hear. The fact that someone like me from the western suburbs of Sydney could become an actress in movies who didn't look like a regular actress, and that I can make it I think gives a lot of hope to other girls who are really creative and don't necessarily follow the standard of what some people consider beauty to be. ~ Rebel Wilson
Creative Confidence quotes by Rebel Wilson
Have confidence in everything. No matter what it is that you're doing, know that you can do it better than anyone. ~ O'Shea Jackson, Jr.
Creative Confidence quotes by O'Shea Jackson, Jr.
Hospitals strip a lot from you - your independence, your confidence, sometimes your will to live. But pettiness too. Pettiness is the first casualty of the ICU waiting room. No one has the energy for it. ~ Dennis Lehane
Creative Confidence quotes by Dennis Lehane
Confidence is a choice ... to act, or to do, or to decide. ~ Katty Kay
Creative Confidence quotes by Katty Kay
I am lucky because I get to work with the smartest, most creative, and most devoted group of students and postdoctoral fellows imaginable. ~ Bonnie Bassler

How did I bridge the gap from depression to elation? Well, I worked hard at improving all aspects of my game. I got stronger mentally and physically. I had good coaching, I studied the other players, and I learned from the history of the NBA. I gained confidence, ability, and intelligence. In short:I learned the game within the game. ~ Walt Frazier
Creative Confidence quotes by Walt Frazier
Beyond the horizon, or even the knowledge, of the cities along the coast, a great, creative impulse is at work
the only thing, after all, that gives this continent meaning and a guarantee of the future. Every Australian ought to climb up here, once in a way, and glimpse the various, manifold life of which he is a part. ~ Vance Palmer
Creative Confidence quotes by Vance Palmer
Reading is very creative - it's not just a passive thing. I write a story; it goes out into the world; somebody reads it and, by reading it, completes it. ~ Margaret Mahy
