Being your authentic and unapologetic self… Now that's courage, confidence, and self-love! Never underestimate yourself… There's great power in simply being YOU. ~ Stephanie Lahart
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Stephanie Lahart
...she doesn't have to choose between being gentle or being fierce. Both exist in nature and both exist in her. That's ok. She'll know to nourish them both and when applicable, use each unapologetically. ~ Steve Maraboli
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Steve Maraboli
You'll never be just anything. A tsunami can never be 'just' a wave."
"Get off my chin."
"I like that about you. Waves are banal. Tsunamis reshape the Earth. Under the right circumstances, even entire civilizations."
I blink.
"You're going to be one hell of a woman one day, Dani. ~ Karen Marie Moning

Woman, if i was straight, i would steal you from him so hard. ~ Tammara Webber
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Tammara Webber
Because I am a transvestite, people often assume that this gives me a special insight into the opposite gender. But this is rubbish: how can I, brought up as a man, know anything about the experience of being a woman? It would be insulting to women if I thought I did. If anything, it gives me a sharper insight into what it is to be a man, since from the age of twelve I have been questioning my own masculinity. ~ Grayson Perry
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Grayson Perry
The ancient Greeks kept women athletes out of their games. They wouldn't even let them on the sidelines. I'm not sure but that they were right. ~ Avery Brundage
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Avery Brundage
Alice told Shadow a magical tale of the green wreath and the red ribbon. In the story, Father Sky, who reigned over the spirit, came to Mother Earth, who bore the form of a woman of clay named Mary. Sky and Earth married, and together they conceived a beautiful star child made of both spirit and earth.

The Star Child grew up and walked the world. The child of Father Sky and Mother Earth taught the world to live with the spirit in their clay hearts. Alice said the red of the holiday bow signified the Star Child's sacrifice, and the green balsam of the wreath signified the everlasting life that was for all people born to the spirit of Father Sky.

Shadow loved the story. It reminded him of his own sweet mother and the tales of Thunderbird who flew the skies in bird form in service to Gitche Manitou. Thunderbird was Shadow's guardian, just like Shadow was the guardian for Theo. Shadow adored the season of light. He always felt warm and cozy when it came around. ~ Steven James Taylor
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Steven James Taylor
The woman who thinks she is intelligent demands equal rights with men. A woman who is intelligent does not. ~ Colette
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Colette
You are getting too old for this." "A man is as old as he feels, woman!" "And how old do you feel?" "About ninety. ~ David Gemmell
Unapologetic Woman quotes by David Gemmell
Elegance and smartness is the sexiest thing woman can have, not just the flesh ~ Baris Gencel
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Baris Gencel
Wedding song (reprise)
But you and I, through burning plains,
through darkness of the earth,
affirm the world, its people,
the heavens that gave them birth,
the breath that passes between us,
this new home where we stand,
and all those things made larger by
the vows between woman and man. ~ Margaret Weis
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Margaret Weis
Perhaps one day in the far-off future, when I'm about eighty-nine, I might look back and say, "When I was a young-ish woman I fell in love with an intense charismatic man. He was way out of my league and when it ended it nearly killed me, but every woman should experience that sort of love once in their lives. Only once, mind, you mightn't survive a second bout. A bit like dengue fever, that way." I ~ Marian Keyes
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Marian Keyes
I don't see how a woman in documentary photography could have children. I think it's a very difficult thing to do to raise a family, and I have enormous respect for people who do it. I'd hate to do something like that and not be good at it. ~ Mary Ellen Mark
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Mary Ellen Mark
The medicine is strong. The cure is costly. But make no mistake: What Christ did on the cross works for every man and woman - no matter the ailment. ~ Adam T. Barr

Betsy hadn't had sex, actual; sex-sex, full sex, in two hundred and fifty-three days. She decided on her thirty-seventh birthday that she wouldn't sleep with anyone unless it was in the context of a committed relationship which had some sort of future, and she was only gradually coming to the realization of what happens when a woman her age makes a decision like that: she never has sex again. ~ Sarah Dunn
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Sarah Dunn
Failing to be there when a man wants her is a woman's greatest sin, except to be there when he doesn't want her. ~ Pope Paul VI
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Pope Paul VI
He placed his hands on the sides of her face and looked into her eyes. You're not some woman I picked up in a bar, Chelsea. You're not a one-night stand. Don't sneak out on me. ~ Rachel Gibson
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Rachel Gibson
If either man or woman would realize that the full power of personal beauty, it must be by cherishing noble thoughts and hopes and purposes; by having something to do and something to live for that is worthy of humanity, and which, by expanding and symmetry to the body which contains it ... ~ Misty Upham
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Misty Upham
I'm going to be like Benjamin Button; I'm just going to grow younger. I will probably be happy, fat, with kids and looking back and thinking, 'I was such a angry young woman.' ~ Lykke Li
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Lykke Li
Muse. Mu-se. It's a great thing, for someone to feel that they can draw inspiration from you. And I don't think it's necessarily a man 'taking' from a woman. It can go both ways, both can stimulate, excite. ~ Chloe Sevigny
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Chloe Sevigny
As Merripen gave the ribbons to a stableman at the mews, Amelia glanced toward the end of the alley.
A pair of street youths crouched near a tiny fire, roasting something on sticks. Amelia did not want to speculate on the nature of the objects being heated. Her attention moved to a group - three men and a woman - illuminated in the uncertain blaze. It appeared two of the men were engaged in fisticuffs. However, they were so inebriated that their contest looked like a performance of dancing bears.
The woman's gown was made of gaudily colored fabric, the bodice gaping to reveal the plump hills of her breasts. She seemed amused by the spectacle of two men battling over her, while a third attempted to break up the fracas.
"'Ere now, my fine jacks," the woman called out in a Cockney accent, "I said I'd take ye both on - no need for a cockfight!"
"Stay back," Merripen murmured.
Pretending not to hear, Amelia drew closer for a better view. It wasn't the sight of the brawl that was so interesting - even their village, peaceful little Primrose Place, had its share of fistfights. All men, no matter what their situation, occasionally succumbed to their lower natures. What attracted Amelia's notice was the third man, the would-be peacemaker, as he darted between the drunken fools and attempted to reason with them.
He was every bit as well dressed as the gentlemen on either side … but it was obvious this man was no gentleman. He was black-haired and swa ~ Lisa Kleypas
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Lisa Kleypas
I spent most of my youth hauling sides of beef and pork to my father's shop. Carrying you is far more enjoyable."

Unapologetic Woman quotes by Lisa Kleypas
[woman suffrage] has made little difference beyond doubling the number of voters. There is no woman's vote as such. They divide up just about as men do. ~ Alice Roosevelt Longworth
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Alice Roosevelt Longworth
Yeah, I fancy women big time ... I check them out more than I check men out. Maybe I would want to sleep with a woman ... Not Beyonce, although I like the look of her, I don't think she's that dirty. ~ Billie Piper
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Billie Piper

Unapologetic Woman quotes by Lynyrd Skynyrd
The most servile Negroes are suspect, and every means is used to impress upon them the power of the White Citizens Councils. Even police brutality can be put to good use. An incident in Ruleville, Sunflower County, birthplace of the Council, will illustrate the point. Preston Johns, Negro renter on Senator Eastland's plantation near Blanc, is a "good nigger who knows his place." One day in May 1955, Preston's wife got into a fight with another Negro woman in the Jim Crow section of the Ruleville theater. The manager threw the women out and notified the police. While the police were questioning the women, Preston's daughter came up to see what was happening to her mother. Without warning, a policeman struck her over the head with the butt of his gun. She fell to the pavement bleeding badly. The police left her there. Someone went for her father. When he came up, the police threatened to kill him. Preston left and called Mr. Scruggs, one of Eastland's cronies. After half an hour, Scruggs came and permitted the girl to be lifted from the street and taken to the hospital.

When Scruggs left, he yelled to the Negroes across the street: "You'll see who your friend is. If it wasn't for us Citizens Council members, she'd have near about died." One old Negro answered back, "I been tellin' these niggers Mr. Scruggs and Mr. Eastland is de best friends dey got." A few days later, Senator Eastland came to Ruleville to look the situation over. Many Negroes lined the streets and ~ Bayard Rustin

Unapologetic Woman quotes by Scarlett Johansson
Every man wants a woman to appeal to his better side and his nobler instincts - and another woman to help him forget them. ~ Helen Rowland
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Helen Rowland
I would have found you earlier, before whatever happened that filled you with this rage. I would not have raised you to be a great man. There is no peace for great men. I would have had you be a decent one. I would have given you the quiet strength to grow old with the woman you love. ~ Pierce Brown
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Pierce Brown
Penn is the brains behind this event. On behalf of my brothers, and all of the kids in the program, I'd like to say thank you." Neil winked. "It seems that the four of us just can't function without a strong, focused woman telling us what to do. ~ Gina Gordon

Don't do anything to stop a woman from flying; let fate take its course. ~ Amado Nervo
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Amado Nervo
Doorway. In Palestine, at least, no one would burst into tears at the sight of her. Sitting cross-legged on the ground, Tedi traced her name into the dirt and remembered Mr. Loederman's wife, Lena, an old-fashioned woman who wore crocheted collars. They had had a grown son, a daughter-in-law, and a grandson. All dead, she realized. She should have hugged him back. The accordion raced up a scale. Young voices ~ Anita Diamant
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Anita Diamant
I do not understand that because I do not want a negro woman for a slave I must necessarily want her for a wife. My understanding is that I can just let her alone. ~ Abraham Lincoln
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Abraham Lincoln
I admire any woman who does stand-up, but frankly I'd rather pull out my own eyelids. ~ Katherine Parkinson
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Katherine Parkinson
So what's up, you dirty boy?' she teases on the escalator. 'Shit, I don't know where to start.' 'I'll drag it out of you.' She slips her dry little hand into my bunch of wet finger-meats, and coaxes me through the crowd. 'We'll check for my cousin, then maybe grab a juice, get private.' A juice. Grab a private juice. What a woman. ~ D.B.C. Pierre
Unapologetic Woman quotes by D.B.C. Pierre
It's important that you take care of yourself and blow off steam in the right way. Don't let some woman walk in and say, "hey, goodbye!" and take your man. Kill her if you can! I'm only kidding. ~ Loretta Lynn
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Loretta Lynn
What story will you tell me?" "What kind of story would you like?" "An exciting story. One with an exotic climate and mortal peril." He had to smile at the relish in her voice. "Do we have bloodthirsty warring factions in this story?" "No war, please." She'd lost a brother to the Corsican's armies. He'd forgotten that, though she never would. "You want a happy ending, then?" She studied her teacup for a thoughtful moment. "I don't admit to my family that I still want the happy endings and wishes to come true. A mature woman should just take life as it comes, and I do have a great deal to be grateful for." "But a mature woman should also be honest with herself, and with me. You're allowed to wish for the happy endings, Sophie. For yourself and for Kit too." When ~ Grace Burrowes
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Grace Burrowes
You're the most beautiful woman Ive ever seen. i just want you to be mine. I don't ever care what foods you like to eat or where you grew up. It's this primal thing with me, and I'm not a primal person. ~ C.M. Stunich
Unapologetic Woman quotes by C.M. Stunich
She had been born with a different name, to a woman with laughing eyes and warmly whispered words of love who'd died degraded and afraid on a misty Irish morning. ~ C.S. Harris
Unapologetic Woman quotes by C.S. Harris
A woman is never so happy as when she is being wooed. Then she is mistress of all she surveys, the cynosure of all eyes, until that day of days when she sails down the aisle, a vision in white, lovely as the stefanotis she carries, borne translucent on her father's manly arm to be handed over to her new father-surrogate. If she is clever, and if her husband has the time and the resources, she will insist on being wooed all her life; more likely she will discover that marriage is not romantic, that husbands forget birthdays and aniversaries and seldom pay compliments, are often perfunctory. ~ Germaine Greer
Unapologetic Woman quotes by Germaine Greer
As Mike Bickle said to me, there is a spiritual battle going on in the world, and he believes that in America marriage between a man and a woman will become illegal. He believes there will be a war. He believes it'll begin in schools and the Christian kids will rise up and slay the non-Christian kids. This was an on-camera interview! ~ Roger Ross Williams
