Remember what you must do
when they undervalue you,
when they think
your softness is your weakness,
when they treat your kindness
like it is their advantage.

You awaken
every dragon,
every wolf,
every monster
that sleeps inside of you
and you remind them
what hell looks like
when it wears the skin
of a gentle human. ~ Nikita Gill
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Nikita Gill
I will try to cram these paragraphs full of facts and give them a weight and shape no greater than that of a cloud of blue butterflies. ~ Brendan Gill
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Brendan Gill
And they didn't spend years painting your soul into masterpiece-like existence for you to waste it on someone who doesn't appreciate you. ~ Nikita Gill
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Nikita Gill
A lobster bisque ought to be the crowning glory of the potager. And this one was excellent. Silky as a gigolo's compliment and fishy as a chancellor's promise. ~ A.A. Gill
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by A.A. Gill
And also they're just good escapist fun," Vivian said firmly, and Gill subsided beside her, giving an apologetic smile. "To read about these horrible things and know they never happened, and when you're finished you can put down the book and take a deep breath and get on with your life. To know it's fiction – "
"Pulp fiction," Gill said ... ~ Lavie Tidhar
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Lavie Tidhar
Let it hurt. Let it bleed. Let it heal. And let it go. ~ Nikita Gill
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Nikita Gill
If you are someone who still carries hope in your heart, kindness in your eyes and generosity in your fingertips despite terrible people happening to you, thank you. You are one of the few truly pure things left in this world, and you deserve to be protected. ~ Nikita Gill
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Nikita Gill
We write songs about it and poetry, and sweet stories, but people hurting each other will never become pretty. Every time a heart breaks and repairs, there are scars. ~ Nikita Gill
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Nikita Gill
Mauricio Pellegrino has the pace of a tricycle with a flat tyre ridden by Luciano Pavarotti, and the turning speed of an oil tanker with its anchor set. ~ Pete Gill
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Pete Gill
TRAUMA STEALS YOUR VOICE

People get so tired of asking you what's wrong and you've run out of nothings to tell them.

You've tried and they've tried, but the words just turn to ashes every time they try to leave your mouth.

They start as fire in the pit of your stomach, but come out in a puff of smoke.

You are not you anymore.

And you don't know how to fix this.

The worst part is...you don't even know how to try. ~ Nikitta Gill
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Nikitta Gill
In a bygone era, penalty-takers would put their laces through the ball and threaten to put a permanent bulge in the netting. For reasons that remain a mystery, the modern preference is for side-footed placement and so the dilemma of goalkeepers has changed from whether to take a guess at dive right or left to if they should dive at all. Or at least that ought to have been their reappraisal. Almunia was feted as the hero in Rome but had he and Doni stayed in the centre of their goal then the number of saves they made in the shoot-out would have been doubled. ~ Pete Gill
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Pete Gill
To die quickly in one's eighth decade at the very top of one's powers is an enviable end, and not an occasion for mourning. ~ Brendan Gill
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Brendan Gill
We have the fact we sell out every week to 67,500 and hopefully 75,000 in the future. We have a lot of assets. ~ David Gill
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by David Gill
I'd still love you,
If the world stops spinning
If heaven and hell tear us apart
If you ever forget me

I'd still love you,
If I find out you weren't made for me
If these years in my life were nothing but a lesson
If we were just a bad dream

Darling, I'd still love you,
If I never hold you in my arms
If I never hear you speak

I'd still love you,
If one day I love another and
If you don't love me,
I'd still love you ~ Richa Gill
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Richa Gill
Music is like having a conversation. All musicians inspire each other, and they're all geared to play something that matters. ~ Vince Gill
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Vince Gill
There is a spell for almost anything and if there's not a spell, there is at least a poem. ~ Nikita Gill
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Nikita Gill
A thing that was difficult to determine was the attitude of the pigs towards Moses. They all declared contemptuously that his stories about Sugarcandy Mountain were lies, and yet they allowed him to remain on the farm, not working, with an allowance of a gill of beer a day. ~ George Orwell
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by George Orwell
Cocktail hour at the embassy consisted of lots of charming men and women in suits and LBDs drinking Buck's Fizz and being friendly to one another, and so what if half of them had gill slits and dorsal fins under the tailoring, and the embassy smelled of seaweed because it was on an officially derelict oil rig in the middle of the North Sea, and the Other Side has the technical capability to exterminate every human being within two hundred kilometers of a coastline if they think we've violated the Benthic Treaty? ~ Charles Stross
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Charles Stross
Schizo. It didn't matter how many times Dr. Gill compared it to a disease or physical disability, it wasn't the same thing. It just wasn't. I had schizophrenia. If I saw two guys on the sidewalk, one in a wheelchair and one talking talking to himself, which would I rush to open a door for, and which would I cross the road to avoid? ~ Kelley Armstrong
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Kelley Armstrong
When I held her, I held her gently so that she always knew she could fly away and I would never harm her or clip her wings. ~ Nikita Gill
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Nikita Gill
The FA Cup is important to everyone at the club. We have a great record in it and we want to win a trophy. ~ David Gill
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by David Gill
Counter the effects of culture (steering your design ideas) by going out and looking for new experiences. ~ Bob Gill
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Bob Gill
So long his name and face are lost in memory-s afterglow; Nor do I recollect of pride or joy or doubt or fright Or other circumstance which marked that time for solo flight The cryptic words alone endure : he said -you're on your own- And down through time I've found it so - the test-s to walk alone ~ Gill Robb Wilson
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Gill Robb Wilson
She is alone
And oh
how brilliantly she shines ~ Nikita Gill
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Nikita Gill
They won't tell you about how Red Riding was the wolf
and Snow White went back to kill the queen.
Or that Cinderella's step family mysteriously
disappeared after she became queen.

They are afraid to let you know that Aurora woke up screaming
because a strange man was kissing her without her consent.
Or how Ariel had no problem killing the two timing prince
and restoring herself to the sea.

The fairy tales we should tell
our daughter should be about strong women with real flaws
and incredible qualities.

Let's raise girls who don't just wait to be rescued,
but take destiny in their own hands
and charge to battle dragons and their enemies. ~ Nikita Gill
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Nikita Gill
Yes, the companionship is amazing. You know, you can get that physical attraction that happens is great, but then there's an awful lot of time and the rest of the day that you have to fill. ~ Vince Gill
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Vince Gill
I found myself drawn to biology, with all its frustrating yet fascinating complexities. When I was twelve, I remember reading about axolotls, which are basically a species of salamander that has evolved to remain permanently in the aquatic larval stage. They manage to keep their gills (rather than trading them in for lungs, like salamanders or frogs) by shutting down metamorphosis and becoming sexually mature in the water. I was completely flabbergasted when I read that by simply giving these creatures the "metamorphosis hormone" (thyroid extract) you could make the axolotl revert back into the extinct, land-dwelling, gill-less adult ancestor that it had evolved from. You could go back in time, resurrecting a prehistoric animal that no longer exists anywhere on Earth. I also knew that for some mysterious reason adult salamanders don't regenerate amputated legs but the tadpoles do. My curiosity took me one step further, to the question of whether an axolotl - which is, after all, an "adult tadpole" - would retain its ability to regenerate a lost leg just as a modern frog tadpole does. And how many other axolotl-like beings exist on Earth, I wondered, that could be restored to their ancestral forms by simply giving them hormones? Could humans - who are after all apes that have evolved to retain many juvenile qualities - be made to revert to an ancestral form, perhaps something resembling Homo erectus, using the appropriate cocktail of hormones? My mind reeled out a stream of qu ~ V.S. Ramachandran
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by V.S. Ramachandran
The Constitution of America only guarantees pursuit of happiness-you have to catch up with it yourself. Fortunately, happiness is something that depends not on position but on disposition, and life is what you make it. ~ Gill Robb Wilson
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Gill Robb Wilson
If you would know my path and follow in its way, then know the land about, both track and willage, in its bridge and in its drownings. Know the outcast rat-shacks, relic stones and gill-halls. Mark each path above and know the underpath below, its secret way from vault to treasure hole.' My ~ Alan Moore
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Alan Moore
Brent suddenly thought back to Miss Gill, the mediator in Chicago, and her saying the effects of an act traveled far beyond one's knowledge. He knew she'd meant harmful acts, like his. He saw now that the same could be said for good deeds-good, bad, and indifferent-sent a wave rolling out of sight. He wondered what his own accounting, generations later, would look like. ~ Paul Fleischman
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Paul Fleischman
Is it a particularly British trait to so utterly adore truly appalling men, from Tony Hancock through to Steptoe and Alf Garnett, Captain Mainwaring, Rigsby, Del Boy, Victor Meldrew and on to David Brent from The Office. The most deeply adored characters are all simply vile. ~ A.A. Gill
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by A.A. Gill
Well I think in all the thirty years I've been doing this now and being gone from home and all that stuff it's really, it's not about what I've achieved and if I've become a better player, or played better ten years ago than I do today. ~ Vince Gill
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Vince Gill
I'm so honored to be on this recording with Ann & Nancy Wilson. They are iconic and I've truly been one of their biggest fans since I was a kid. And what a perfect song to sing with them, since I adore Vince Gill and have been very proud for his commitment to his own musical vision. When we were recording at Nancy's house, and even though I'm friends with those girls now, I had to keep 'pinching' myself and marvel at how blessed my life is! It was a very PROUD moment for me. ~ Deana Carter
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Deana Carter
In the New Yorker library, I have long been shelved between Nadine Gordimer and Brendan Gill; an eerie little space nestled between high seriousness of purpose and legendary lightness of touch. ~ Adam Gopnik
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by Adam Gopnik
thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel; which is very easily done with a bar of iron; and, when it is done, the pieces can never be put together again: so that by the metaphor is signified the easy and irreparable ruin of the wicked; see Isa 30:14. The word signifies that they should be so crumbled into dust, that they should be scattered about as with the wind; which, so far as it relates to the Jews, was fulfilled in their destruction by the Romans, and will have its accomplishment in the antichristian nations at the latter day; see Rev 2:26. ~ John Gill
Montenbruck And Gill quotes by John Gill
I am lucky, Master Gill," Mat said. "You just have a good meal waiting when I come back." As he stood, he picked up the dice cup and spun the dice out beside the stones board for luck. The calico cat leaped down, hissing at him with her back arched. The five spotted dice came to rest, each showing a single pip. The Dark One's Eyes.
"That's the best toss or the worst," Gill said. "It depends on the game you are playing, doesn't it. Lad, I think you mean to play a dangerous game. Why don't you take that cup out into the common room and lose a few coppers? You look to me like a fellow who might like a little gamble. I will see the letter gets to the Palace safely."
"Coline wants you to clean the drains," Mat told him, and turned to Thom while the innkeeper was still blinking and muttering to himself. "It doesn't seem to make any odds whether I get an arrow in me trying to deliver that letter or a knife in my back waiting. It's six up, and a half dozen down. Just you have that meal waiting, Thom." He tossed a gold mark on the table in front of Gill. "Have my things put in a room, innkeeper. If it takes more coin, you will have it. Be careful of the big roll; it frightens Thom something awful. ~ Robert Jordan
