When you feel physically vital, emotionally stable, and psychologically centered, your ability and desire to love and express authentic compassion expand. ~ Deepak Chopra
Desire To Love quotes by Deepak Chopra
I would suggest that the desire to love is always greater than the passion to hate. It's simply that love demands vulnerability and hate does not. Therefore, too often we tend to love the easier choice to hate. ~ Craig D. Lounsbrough
Desire To Love quotes by Craig D. Lounsbrough
Desire is not necessarily translated into action. Will is desire of sufficient intensity that it is translated into action. The difference between the two is equal to the difference between saying "I would like to go swimming tonight" and "I will go swimming tonight." Everyone in our culture desires to some extent to be loving, yet many are not in fact loving. I therefore conclude that the desire to love is not itself love. Love is as love does. Love is an act of will - namely, both an intention and an action. ~ M. Scott Peck
Desire To Love quotes by M. Scott Peck
Love stands even when the desire to love doesn't. ~ Craig D. Lounsbrough
Desire To Love quotes by Craig D. Lounsbrough
It may happen that we miss people that we took care of more than we miss those who took care of us, because the desire to love and the search for meaning, together, are stronger than the desire to be loved. ~ Luigina Sgarro
Desire To Love quotes by Luigina Sgarro
Love - the desire to love and be loved, to hold and be held, to give love even if your experience as a recipient has been compromised or incomplete - is the constant on the continuum of hunger, it's what links the anorexic to the garden-variety dieter, it's the persistent pulse of need and yearning behind the reach for food, for sex, for something. ~ Caroline Knapp
Desire To Love quotes by Caroline Knapp
The desire to love someone always exceeds the desire to be loved by someone & that's exactly why we end up loving the person who doesn't deserve that LOVE. ~ Anirban Bose
Desire To Love quotes by Anirban Bose
Like the waves of the ocean that have an insatiable desire to kiss the shore, so the heart has an insatiable craving for love and the joy of life. ~ Debasish Mridha
Desire To Love quotes by Debasish Mridha
It's love," thought Abel, "it's love that gives them this calmness, this peace. And suddenly he was gripped by a violent desire to love, to give himself, to find the red flower of love growing in his arid life. ~ Jose Saramago
Desire To Love quotes by Jose Saramago
I have never feared death,
Nor the fact that my life will come to an end one day.
All I've ever been frightened of is to be a walking dead or that one morning I may wake up with no aim to be alive.
It scares the hell out of me that maybe one day I'll lose my desire to love, to dream, to have hope or even to smile.
I don't fear to be dead, I fear to live and not being alive… ~ Samiha Totanji
Desire To Love quotes by Samiha Totanji
You give me a great desire to love. ~ Marguerite Duras
Desire To Love quotes by Marguerite Duras
The greatest commandments are not obligations at all, but affirmations of grace. They are promises that with our willing assent, grace will make possible the triumph of full, unfettered love within us.

Our assent, our yes, finally comes from nothing other than our own yearning, from passion itself. It may surface temporarily as desire for self-improvement, functional efficiency, moral virtue, or social justice, but ultimately it will take us beyond and beneath all such ends. Love will bring us to our ever-present beginning, where our only reason for saying yes is simply that we want to.

Here it is only our plain desire that makes true assent possible: the desire to respond to a larger love already given, the desire to love and to be loved and to be fully, consciously present in love as an end in itself. It is a matter of simple caring, our hearts aching for the fullness of love for no other reason than its own essential goodness. In this simple, exquisite longing, awakening in each precious moment, we know who we really are. It is a likeness of God. ~ Gerald G. May
Desire To Love quotes by Gerald G. May
Freedom is perfect when no other love can impede our desire to love God ~ Thomas Merton
Desire To Love quotes by Thomas Merton
And do I still have that look?" he asked.
"Yes just there," she kissed his eye. "The desire to love me is still there. If you look closely you can see mine for you, my tears never washed it away. ~ Racquel McDonnell
Desire To Love quotes by Racquel McDonnell
Yes, being gay is just one of a thousand traits that make up my character, no more remarkable than my love of M&M's or my ability to mess up a room in fifteen seconds flat or my failure to understand the appeal of Luke and Owen Wilson.
But I believe that the desire to love and be loved is the strongest force on earth. And in that way, being gay affects every interaction in which straight people take part. Every human motive is in the end a yearning for companionship, and every act of every person on this planet is an effort not to be alone. ~ Joel Derfner
Desire To Love quotes by Joel Derfner
There are those who have a desire to love, but do not have the capacity to love ~ Giovanni Papini
Desire To Love quotes by Giovanni Papini
How much of it was real. How much of it was just a dream. Is it possible that all of it was just a play between two lonely people? Was this woman the one I really love or just the product of my imagination and of my desire to love and be loved. Would I be able to make this dream come true or was I heading into disillusionment and tragedy? ~ Stevan V. Nikolic
Desire To Love quotes by Stevan V. Nikolic
My theory is that humans aren't really bad; we all do bad things, but being bad is not our natural state. You're acting out of fear, lack of understanding, compassion, but essentially communication. Human beings are made of love, an overwhelming desire to love. When we communicate, we exist in our natural state. ~ Seal
Desire To Love quotes by Seal
Loneliness is the fundamental force that urgees mystics to a deeper union with God ... An experience of God quenches this thirst for the absolute but at the same time, paradoxiacally, whets it, because this is an experience that can never be total; by necessity, the knowledge of God is always partial. So loneliness opens up mystics to a desire to love each other and every human being as God loves them. ~ Jean Vanier
Desire To Love quotes by Jean Vanier
We come to this world with an abundance of hope, a deep desire to love, and a longing to belong. ~ Debasish Mridha
Desire To Love quotes by Debasish Mridha
He wants love. His desire to love someone ... is stronger that anyone else's. ~ Yuuki Obata
Desire To Love quotes by Yuuki Obata
Passion is not only a strong desire to love, but also a strong desire to kill. ~ Claire Amber
Desire To Love quotes by Claire Amber
Don't go far off, not even for a day,
because I don't know how to say it - a day is long
and I will be waiting for you, as in
an empty station when the trains are
parked off somewhere else, asleep.
Don't leave me, even for an hour, because then
the little drops of anguish will all run together,
the smoke that roams looking for a home will drift
into me, choking my lost heart.
Oh, may your silhouette never dissolve
on the beach, may your eyelids never flutter
into the empty distance. Don't LEAVE me for
a second, my dearest, because in that moment you'll
have gone so far I'll wander mazily
over all the earth, asking, will you
come back? Will you leave me here, dying? ~ Pablo Neruda
Desire To Love quotes by Pablo Neruda
Nothing would bother me more than if they found me strange at the office. I like to revel in the irony that they don't find me at all strange. I like the hair shirt of being regarded by them as their equal. I like the crucifixion of being considered no different. THere are martyrdoms more subtle than those recorded for the saints and hermits. There are torments of our mental awareness as there are of the body and of desire. And in the former, as in the latter, there's a certain sensuality ... ~ Fernando Pessoa
Desire To Love quotes by Fernando Pessoa
I write because…

I write because I love the art and the magic of Literature.

I write because it keeps me safe, sane, and connected to you.

I write because it takes me to the places I want to go and those who wish to join me in the journey; may grasp my hand and my heart; in this stroll through this moment of time.

I write because when no one was there, the word was there: The word has always been and always will be the preeminent being in my universe.

I write because it allows me; to allow you to be understood and we are joined for a moment in time.

I do not write because it comes from a place of grammatical perfection; free of line breaks in perfected poetry; for my history is one of line breaks and imperfections.

I do not come to you from a place of polished and perfected; educated and critiqued.

No! I come to you from a place of raw, real, gutsy, and riveting. What I give you is raw, real, gutsy and riveting; with all of its imperfections and inconsistencies.

You have been touched, you have been curious, and you have been intrigued; you have come back looking, longing, expecting or not…

But then suddenly you were surprised; surprised that you could be moved; surprised that your preconceived ideas had been shattered by one who writes because… ~ Suzanne Steele
Desire To Love quotes by Suzanne Steele
Love wasn't the soft, silky words the poets spoke of. Love, with it's twin edges, was the one factor that weakened so many women, that pushed them to compromised their own wants, their own needs for the needs and wants of another. ~ Nora Roberts
Desire To Love quotes by Nora Roberts
Some find it hard to write emotively. I've had some people say to me that they simply cannot. There are two ways to try and achieve it, to either draw upon your own lives experiences or pushing your imagination into those circumstances and feeling how your heart reacts.
When I write emotively much of it comes from my own experiences and thoughts. But for some things it is not because I have experienced every emotion in my short life time already. It means I am able to imagine in my mind a given situation and feel how my heart reacts to those thoughts. Forcing myself deep into the moment of fantasy and not fearing how I feel. Some writers rely on this skill, not picturing it in their mind they are feeling it as though with their own heart even though the situation is not one they have found themselves to have been in. I believe I struggle with this, I challenge myself in some of my stories and writing that I do but I find myself favouring writing about what I know, what I have felt in my own life, love being most favoured but also excitement, worry, fear and of course sorrow. Many people will be happy to write about joy and happiness but would never write of their fears and weaknesses, feeling that for others to see you so exposed in a raw state of emotion adds to the agony of the original event you are writing about. Especially those who want to be seen as strong all the time, they worry that so show any emotion other than strength of positivity is weakness. This façade ~ Raven Lockwood
Desire To Love quotes by Raven Lockwood
For myself, the only immortality I desire is to invent a new sauce. ~ Oscar Wilde
Desire To Love quotes by Oscar Wilde
Find the beliefs that are strangling your feelings, challenge them for your sake as well as theirs, and see how it feels to love someone without a thought about the future, simply for who they are today. ~ Andrew J. Bernstein
Desire To Love quotes by Andrew J. Bernstein
…My eyes were wet, tears waiting to drop from my eyes and heart started to sob. The words from Jiya pushed me on my back foot…"

Desire To Love quotes by MoKSh
The best things in life are free. And it is important never to lose sight of that. So look around you. Wherever you see friendship, loyalty, laughter, and love ... there is your treasure. ~ Neale Donald Walsch
Desire To Love quotes by Neale Donald Walsch
Though we love to think that we are civilized & developed than that of people lived centuries ago. In reality, the world is still run through the principle of 'Might is right'. Whoever - government or individual - has more power & money is dominating and, in many cases, oppressing people who are financially & politically weaker. ~ Abu Sufyan Ibn Harb
Desire To Love quotes by Abu Sufyan Ibn Harb
What I love in fashion is to tell a story through a creation. ~ Alber Elbaz
Desire To Love quotes by Alber Elbaz
I'm just happy that I'm able to take care of what I need to take care of, live, and do the thing that I love the most and that is to sing. People want to hear it, buy it, see it, hold it, record it, bootleg it. It's fine with me as long as it's good but when it's bad I'm in trouble! ~ Ledisi
Desire To Love quotes by Ledisi
Life is too short to not kick fear in the ass and allow yourself to love again. ~ Steve Maraboli
Desire To Love quotes by Steve Maraboli
Life is a strange thing. Why this longing for life? It is a game which no man wins. To live is to toil hard and to suffer sore, till old age creeps heavily upon us and we throw down our hands on the cold ashes of dead fires. It is hard to live. In pain the babe sucks his first breath, in pain the old man gasps his last, and all his days are full of trouble and sorrow; yet he goes down to the open arms of death, stumbling, falling, with head turned backward, fighting to the last. And death is kind. It is only life and the things of life that hurt. Yet we love life and we hate death. It is very strange. ~ Jack London
Desire To Love quotes by Jack London
love and forgiveness have to be the core of that faith, ~ C.A. Werwinski
Desire To Love quotes by C.A. Werwinski
My goal has always been to inspire in them an ongoing love of learning. To awaken a feeling where their work is their passion, so that they never feel burdened or trapped by meeting their material needs, but instead thrive and experience wealth doing what they love while making a positive contribution to the world. To me that is the truest definition of success. ~ Kytka Hilmar-Jezek
Desire To Love quotes by Kytka Hilmar-Jezek
Dad could talk about peace and love out loud to the world, but he could never show it to the people who supposedly meant the most to him: his wife and son. How can you talk about peace and love and have a family in bits and pieces - no communication, adultery, divorce? You can't do it, not if you're being true and honest with yourself. ~ Julian Lennon
Desire To Love quotes by Julian Lennon
When a man is walking in his purpose there is only room for one woman to walk with him. ~ Stephan Labossiere
Desire To Love quotes by Stephan Labossiere
If love exists between two persons, it is blessed. If love does not exist between two persons, then all your laws put together cannot bridge them. Then they exist separate, then they exist apart, then they exist in conflict, then they exist always in war. And they create all kinds of trouble for each other. They are nasty to each other, nagging to each other, possessive of each other, violent, oppressive, dominating, dictatorial. ~ Rajneesh
Desire To Love quotes by Rajneesh
I love to be in the position of not knowing what I'm gonna do, but having rehearsed all of those so when something happens with the others actors I go with whatever that is I'm getting. ~ Wayne Rogers
Desire To Love quotes by Wayne Rogers
Stumbling closer, I held up the manuscript, the pages flapping frantically in the wind. "I take it this is a murder mystery? You killed the ex-fiancée and thanked her in the dedication? Mighty dignified of you, I must say."

"Nah. It's a horror novel. But yeah, the bimbo dies in the end. Bob Hall says it's going to be a bestseller, so I figured I owed her some thanks for the inspiration." He edged a few feet closer, his smile spread from ear to ear. The glimmer in his eyes flickered toward the ocean, breaking our connection. He hung his head, licked his lips, then returned his eyes to mine, restoring the connection with an intense smolder. "Are you gonna get over here, or what?"

Letting out a soft chuckle, the tears began to blind me. "Make me. ~ Rachael Wade
Desire To Love quotes by Rachael Wade
Of course I like luxury - you think I don't love these gowns and jewels? But in the end ... they're replaceable. I've come to value the people in my life more. ~ Sarah J. Maas
Desire To Love quotes by Sarah J. Maas
I put on lipstick and high heels and walk down the street arm in arm with you, Jess. This is my life, and I'm damn brave to love who I love. Don't try to take who I am away from me."
My chin trembled, "Well, what do you think's being taken away from me? What the fuck am I going to do, Theresa? Tell me, what can I do?
...I don't want to die and I don't know how to live. I'm really afraid. ~ Leslie Feinberg
Desire To Love quotes by Leslie Feinberg
Lying in bed, half-covered by the blankets, I would drowsily ask why he had come to my door that night long ago. It had become a ritual for us, as it does for all lovers: where, when, why? remember ... I understand even old people rehearse their private religion of how they first loved, most guarded of secrets. And he would answer, sleep blurring his words, "Because I had to." The question and the answer were always the same. Why? Because I had to. ~ Margaret George
Desire To Love quotes by Margaret George
His smiling face revealed a love too strong to be kept inside, but the feelings obviously rising inside him kept him from looking directly at Kikunojou. He gazed instead at Kikunojou's clear reflection on the water. ~ Haruo Shirane
Desire To Love quotes by Haruo Shirane
... everyone regrets something, but you can't change the past. You've got to let go and make new memories until the old ones fade enough that they don't hold any power over you. ~ Olivia Arran
Desire To Love quotes by Olivia Arran
Picture your ideal love relationship. Does it involve perfect compatibility - no disagreements, no compromises, no hard work? Please think again. In every relationship, issues arise. Try to see them from a growth mindset: Problems can be a vehicle for developing greater understanding and intimacy. Allow your partner to air his or her differences, listen carefully, and discuss them in a patient and caring manner. You may be surprised ~ Carol S. Dweck
Desire To Love quotes by Carol S. Dweck
The King saw them with no common satisfaction, expressing his desire in no particular to have yt Stellar fish engraven and printed. We wish very much, Sir, yt you could procure for us a particular description of yesd Fish, viz. whether it be common there; what is observable in it when alive; what colour it then hath; what kind of motion in the water; what use it maketh of all that curious workmanship, wch Nature hath adorn'd it with? ~ Henry Oldenburg
Desire To Love quotes by Henry Oldenburg
I think it's the same simple thing for everyone - to be happy, and have love in your life. ~ Juliette Binoche
Desire To Love quotes by Juliette Binoche
She knows I love the dude. She's trying to butter me up - both sides, front and back, top to bottom. It's working. ~ Kim Holden
Desire To Love quotes by Kim Holden
Much better stay in company!
To love you must have someone else,
Giving requires a legatee,
Good neighbours need whole parishfuls
Of folk to do it on - in short,
Our virtues are all social; if,
Deprived of solitude, you chafe,
It's clear you're not the virtuous sort. ~ Philip Larkin
Desire To Love quotes by Philip Larkin
To die is to love. The beauty of love is not in past remembrances or in the images of tomorrow. Love has no past and no future; what has, is memory, which is not love. Love with its passion is just beyond the range of society, which is you. Die, and it is there. ~ Jiddu Krishnamurti
Desire To Love quotes by Jiddu Krishnamurti
Like Spinoza, he has a certain kind of moral purity and loftiness, which is very impressive. He is always sincere, never shrill or censorious, invariably concerned to tell the reader, as simply as he can, what he believes to be important. Whatever one may think of him as a theoretical philosopher, it is impossible not to love him as a man. The life of Plotinus is known, ~ Bertrand Russell
Desire To Love quotes by Bertrand Russell
When you lose someone you love, it's hard to imagine that you'll ever feel better. That, one day, you'll manage to be in a good mood simply because the weather is nice or the barista at the coffee shop on the corner remembered your order.

But it does happen.

If you're patient and you work at it. ~ Taylor Jenkins Reid
Desire To Love quotes by Taylor Jenkins Reid
She left quietly, closing the door behind her.
Only then did Hunter move, wandering to the portal, his large hand clasping the oval brass knob that she had just touched, searching for any remaining warmth her skin might have imparted. He leaned his cheek against the cool, glossy panel and closed his eyes. He craved her body, her sweetness, her hands on his body, her legs open to him, her throat tightening with feminine cries as he pleasured her... He shoved the thoughts away, but it was too late, he was left with a painful erection that wouldn't subside.
How long would it take for her to accept him? What the devil would she require? If only she would assign him some herculean task for him to accomplish and prove himself. 'Tell me what to do,' he thought, emitting a slight groan, 'and by God, I'll do it ten times over. ~ Lisa Kleypas
