Developing ALL staff to their fullest potential, on a daily basis, is the most powerful and humane approach, to building a high-performance organisation, that positively changes the world. ~ ― Tony "Success Activator" Dovale
Deliberately Developmental quotes by ― Tony
You were deliberately planned, specially gifted, and lovingly placed on this earth by God. In a world that decides your worth by the clothes you wear or the sports you play, let me tell you something - you are valuable because God created you. ~ Max Lucado
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Max Lucado
Evening had turned the sky a deep persimmon. The remaining sunlight enriched the colors of the ubiquitous flowers and foliage to even greater vibrancy, as if the saturation filter had been notched up several levels.

Caleb noted all this in passing as he strode deliberately forward. He didn't know how he was going to do this, only that he had to make the attempt. ~ G.S. Jennsen
Deliberately Developmental quotes by G.S. Jennsen
Marina Orlova was hooked on my quote about women not owing men. I scrolled through her posted paintings and recalled a Slovak friend once commenting on a guy wanna-be a great painter, something like this: "Aaano, on bol profesionalnym maljiarom na Slovensku, maloval tam pice a hakove krize po stenach". He meant graffiti, but I hesitate to translate it in detail for it may sound too rough. Another thought is about surreal, sometimes spurious aesthetics mixed with hinted or daring sexuality, which Marina Orlova endorses, deliberately or not, in line of her claimed profession. The posts call to mind The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover or even Titus Andronicus. No wonder, thousands of bozos are attracted to her internet activity because ... , well, the woman is hot. ~ Vinko Vrbanic
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Vinko Vrbanic
He held out his hand, and Scrimgeour leaned forward again and placed the Snitch, slowly and deliberately, into Harrys palm.
Nothing happened. As Harrys fingers closed around the Snitch, its tired wings fluttered and were still.
Scrimgeour, Ron, and Hermione continued to gaze avidly at the now partially concealed ball, as if still hoping it might transform in some way.
That was dramatic, said Harry coolly.
Both Ron and Hermione laughed. ~ J.K. Rowling
Deliberately Developmental quotes by J.K. Rowling
It is not birth, marriage, or death, but gastrulation
which is the most important time in your life. ~ Louis Wolpert
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Louis Wolpert
Nonconformists, we are, unsolicited, unpredictable, unencumbered, unvested, daring and iconoclastic but not for the sake of destructive ruins but construction toward a better truth, a substantial truth, and innovation. Too much of independence of the nonconformists of unique mind is considered unfitting to the establishment of existing norms and institutions because they cannot be useful functionaries for social reinforcement. Yet, poetic outcasts are reframing the stretch of imagination toward metaphysical beauty and permanence - the greatness. We deliberately detach ourselves from the exasperations and desperations of the moment of mankind. We find it particularly useful to have a burning heart and causes for misgivings and finality…to fill the unlistening void and to chastise a comfortable livelihood. ~ Bongha Lee
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Bongha Lee
At bottom, the battle has been waged on moral grounds. The country has debated whether a society for which the dignity of the individual is the supreme value can, without a fundamental inconsistency, follow the practice of deliberately putting one of its members to death. ~ William J. Brennan
Deliberately Developmental quotes by William J. Brennan
The development of an organism ... may be considered as the execution of a 'developmental program' present in the fertilized egg ... A central task of developmental biology is to discover the underlying algorithm from the course of development. ~ Aristid Lindenmayer
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Aristid Lindenmayer
We were trained from cartoons. Everything who was on the screen was chosen. Anything who was not there was deliberately not there. ~ John Hench
Deliberately Developmental quotes by John Hench
People are complicated, and they hurt each other. Effie Linton had known this for a long time, just as she knew that sometimes those wounds were inflicted deliberately, over and over, and not with fists or weapons. Sometimes, they did it with love. ~ Megan Hart
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Megan Hart
We are not encouraged, on a daily basis, to pay careful attention to the animals we eat. On the contrary, the meat, dairy, and egg industries all actively encourage us to give thought to our own immediate interest (taste, for example, or cheap food) but not to the real suffering involved. They do so by deliberately withholding information and by cynically presenting us with idealized images of happy animals in beautiful landscapes, scenes of bucolic happiness that do not correspond to anything in the real world. The animals involved suffer agony because of our ignorance. The least we owe them is to lessen that ignorance. ~ Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson
Do you realize that your life at this very moment is the result of everything that you have ever thought , done , believed , or felt up until now ? You can start right now to consciously and deliberately attract whatever you desire in this lifetime. ~ Jack Canfield
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Jack Canfield
When people look at a dangerous violent criminal at the beginning of his developmental process rather than at the very end of it, they will see, perhaps unexpectedly, that the dangerous violent criminal began as a relatively benign human being for whom they would probably have more sympathy than antipathy. ~ Richard Rhodes
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Richard Rhodes
It doesn't take a literary detective, scanning the passage above, to notice that he is partly saying of Orwell what Orwell actually says about Gissing. This half-buried resentment can be further noticed when Williams turns to paradox. I have already insisted that Orwell contains opposites and even contradictions, but where is the paradox in a 'humane man who communicated an extreme of inhuman terror'? Where is the paradox in 'a man committed to decency who actualized a distinctive squalor'? The choice of verbs is downright odd, if not a little shady. 'Communicated'? 'Actualised'? Assuming that Williams means to refer to Nineteen Eighty-Four in the first case, which he certainly does, would it not be more precise to say that Orwell 'evoked' or even 'prefigured' or perhaps simply 'described' an extreme of inhuman terror? Yet that choice of verb, because more accurate, would be less 'paradoxical.' Because what Williams means to imply, but is not brave enough to say, is that Orwell 'invented' the picture of totalitarian collectivism.

As for 'actualising' a distinctive squalor, the author of that useful book Keywords has here chosen a deliberately inexact term. He may mean Nineteen Eighty-Four again - he is obsessed with the 'gritty dust' that infests Orwell's opening passage - or he may mean the depictions of the mean and cramped (and malodorous) existence imposed on the denizens of Wigan Pier. But to 'actualise' such squalor is either to make it real - no contradictio ~ Christopher Hitchens
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Christopher Hitchens
While she'd been drying her hair, she'd come up with a new message for her answering machine - "I'm out, deliberately avoiding your call" - and that simple burst of creativity had raised her spirits a bit. ~ Carrie Fisher
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Carrie Fisher
What I think is true is that at a certain stage in his life, he deliberately ceased to take any interest in himself except for a kind of spiritual alumnus taking his moral finals...Self-knowledge for him had come to mean recognition of his own weakness and shortcomings and nothing more. Anything beyond that he sharply suspected, both in himself and in others, as a symptom of spiritual megalomania. At best, there was so much else, in letters and in life, that he found much more interesting than himself. ~ Jocelyn Gibb
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Jocelyn Gibb
If you shell a military base and happen to kill civilians, you have not committed a war crime; if you deliberately target cities and towns, you have. ~ Sebastian Junger
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Sebastian Junger
Music exists when rhythmic, melodic or harmonic order is deliberately created, and consciously listened to, and it is only language-using, self-conscious creatures ... who are capable of organizing sounds in this way, either when uttering them or when perceiving them. We can hear music in the song of the nightingale, but it is music that no nightingale has heard. ~ Roger Scruton
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Roger Scruton
Mrs Farleigh," he called. She stopped and gave him her shoulder, not quite meeting his eyes. Still wary, and that made him angrier yet. "I want you to trounce me."
Her head snapped up. "Pardon?"
"It is down to you and me. We are battling it out, to see who will be king of the indifferent shots in this competition. Only one of us will prevail.I shall shoot to win." He really was angry, he realized - furious to imagine her spending her autumns deliberately hiding what she could do, hiding the extent of her ability from the man who should treasure it. It was as if she'd left a vast swath of her ability unclaimed, hidden behind a swirl of feminine smiles. He didn't like the idea. He didn't like it at all. ~ Courtney Milan
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Courtney Milan
This murder of Hariri was deliberately planned and executed precisely to implicate Syria and to set in train the events which have unfolded. ~ George Galloway
Deliberately Developmental quotes by George Galloway
If we are not deliberately thinking about our culture and our context, we will be conformed to it without ever knowing. ~ Timothy Keller
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Timothy Keller
For Noah, preaching 120 years without results meant choosing the hard road year after year. Nehemiah, building the wall of Jerusalem, faced constant harassment by enemies from within and without. We cannot honestly, authentically, reasonably and deliberately serve our Lord without our willingness to accept difficulties and inconveniences. ~ K.P. Yohannan
Deliberately Developmental quotes by K.P. Yohannan
She lived frugally, but her meals were the only things on which she deliberately spent her money. She never compromised on the quality of her groceries, and drank only good-quality wines. ~ Haruki Murakami
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Haruki Murakami
When we eat together, when we set out to do so deliberately, life is better, no matter what your circumstances. ~ Thomas Keller
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Thomas Keller
Precedents deliberately established by wise men are entitled to great weight. They are evidence of truth, but only evidence ... But a solitary precedent ... which has never been reexamined, cannot be conclusive. ~ Henry Clay
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Henry Clay
The conclusion we drew from this convinced us that it was best to do everything on purpose, deliberately, so that you would know what to expect. ~ Elena Ferrante
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Elena Ferrante
You're being reasonable again!" snapped Angua. "You're deliberately seeing everyone's point of view! Can't you try to be unfair even once? ~ Terry Pratchett
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Terry Pratchett
One wanted, she thought, dipping her brush deliberately, to be on a level with ordinary experience, to feel simply that's a chair, that's a table, and yet at the same time, It's a miracle, it's an ecstasy. ~ Virginia Woolf
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Virginia Woolf
A relationship that involves physical, emotional, psychological, or spiritual abuse is not a twin flame relationship. There is a difference between painful emotional and mental shifts in perception, and gaslighting. There is a difference between Life asking you to change and 'upgrade' as a result of your relationship, and your partner demanding that you change to appease their selfish domineering desires. There is a difference between acting out wounds and perpetuating toxic narcissistic behavior. There is a difference between unconsciously triggering each other's shadows, and deliberately triggering the other with malice and hatred. ~ Aletheia Luna
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Aletheia Luna
Holding a hand over my eyes, I look up at him. "Thanks, I'm glad were ... friends." I say the word friends deliberately, letting the emphasis get my point across. His mouth curves with a slow smile. "I've never wanted to be your friend, Jacinda." My heart stutters in my chest. Standing in the pouring rain, I watch him walk away. ~ Sophie Jordan
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Sophie Jordan
Our family used to be like this strong cup," thought Francie. "It was whole and sound and held things well. When papa died, the first crack came. And this fight tonight made another crack. Soon there will be so many cracks that the cup will break and we'll all be pieces instead of the whole thing together. I don't want this to happen, yet I'm deliberately making a deep crack. ~ Betty Smith
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Betty Smith
Peace is not just the mere absence of violence or disturbance. It's when there is a possibility of conflict, but you deliberately avoid violence and adopt methods to solve the problem through peaceful means. That is real peace. ~ Dalai Lama
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Dalai Lama
Whether the autistic subject is inscribed as 'nearly' developed or 'under' developed, developmental discourses always situate the autistic subject as partially developed and thus not fully human. [...] Developmentalist discourses frame the autistic subject in need of advocacy as a kind of development project, the autistic body becomes understood as 'develop-able.' The autistic is, in other words, framed as one who needs to be taught humanness. ~ Anne McGuire
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Anne McGuire
I deliberately made an effort not to become an expert on the ballet. ~ Robert Caro
Deliberately Developmental quotes by Robert Caro
I am pleased to see that many of the world's leaders have publicly recognized that the crisis in the Middle East was deliberately incited by terrorist organizations. ~ Alcee Hastings
