A woman is like a universe; there are many things that even she still needs to discover about herself. Men on the other hand are miners, which means they are in a better position to uncover, perceive and appreciate things about women that they themselves have not yet come to the full realization of. Men know more about women than they can tell (it's for their own safety that they keep their mouths shut and pretend like they don't know anything, lest they get slammed for claming to know anything at all about women in the first place). Sadly, women are losing out on a wealth of knowledge and understanding about themselves by debunking men's ideas and notions about them especially when it comes to their femininity and sensuality. I think there is a need for women to start gently and safely asking men what they 'inherently' know about their femininity. I'm not a chauvinist nor a proponent for men's rights, but I strongly believe that men hold the keys to a lot of treasure chests that most women are daily striving to open up. Perhaps you should start inviting your man to get a little bit more involved in your feminine/sensual journey. It's only a suggestion... ~ Lebo Grand
Treasure Chests quotes by Lebo Grand
Dreams, I thought. They're the riches of a poor person, stashed in treasure chests buried deeply in the imagination. But are dreams enough? ~ V.C. Andrews
Treasure Chests quotes by V.C. Andrews
Here is the treasure chest of the world - the public library, or a bookstore. ~ Ben Carson
Treasure Chests quotes by Ben Carson
They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. - Matthew 2:11 ~ Gary Chapman
Treasure Chests quotes by Gary Chapman
My treasure chest is filled with gold.
Gold ... gold ... gold ...
Vagabond's gold and drifter's gold ...
Worthless, priceless, dreamer's gold ...
Gold of the sunset ... gold of the dawn ... Gold of the showertrees on my lawn ...
Poet's gold and artist's gold ...
Gold that can not be bought or sold -
Gold. ~ Don Blanding
Treasure Chests quotes by Don Blanding
Worlds were never meant to be prisons, locked and suffocating and safe. Worlds were supposed to be great rambling houses with all the windows thrown open and the wind and summer rain rushing through them, with magic passages in their closets and secret treasure chests in their attics. ~ Alix E. Harrow
Treasure Chests quotes by Alix E. Harrow
...religion is more than a source of conflict or a calculated way to stay out of hell. Religions are treasure chests of stories, songs, rituals, and ways of life that have been handed down for millennia. ~ Barbara Brown Taylor
Treasure Chests quotes by Barbara Brown Taylor
Any nerd who grew up around the time that I did, BBC programming was a treasure chest for us. ~ Chris Hardwick
Treasure Chests quotes by Chris Hardwick
I'll give you treasure chests full of gold pieces, I know the value of spending time with you." I ~ Elena Ferrante
Treasure Chests quotes by Elena Ferrante
I grew up in an era where an orchestra was like a treasure chest. ~ James Levine
Treasure Chests quotes by James Levine
The key that unlocks the treasure chest of God's peace is faith in the promises of God. ~ John Piper
Treasure Chests quotes by John Piper
The future of America is not an entitlement. We have been given a treasure chest of gifts and opportunities, but some people are being left behind, and success is not sustainable unless it is shared. ~ Howard Schultz
Treasure Chests quotes by Howard Schultz
In 1859 the human race discovered a huge treasure chest in its basement. This was oil and gas, a fantastically cheap and easily available source of energy. We did, or at least some of us did, what anybody does who discovers a treasure in the basement - live it up, and we have been spending this treasure with great enjoyment ~ Kenneth E. Boulding
Treasure Chests quotes by Kenneth E. Boulding
Never let me lose the marvel
of your statue-like eyes, or the accent
the solitary rose of your breath
places on my cheek at night.
I am afraid of being, on this shore,
a branchless trunk, and what I most regret
is having no flower, pulp, or clay
for the worm of my despair.
If you are my hidden treasure,
if you are my cross, my dampened pain,
if I am a dog, and you alone my master,
never let me lose what I have gained,
and adorn the branches of your river
with leaves of my estranged Autumn. ~ Federico Garcia Lorca
Treasure Chests quotes by Federico Garcia Lorca
Let whoever may have attained to so much as to have the power of drawing know that he holds a great treasure. ~ Michelangelo
Treasure Chests quotes by Michelangelo
I promised I'd save him, take him home! I promised him!
... Thomas hugged Chuck to his chest, squeezed him as tightly as possible, as if that could somehow bring him back, or show thanks for saving his life, for being his friend when no one else would.
Thomas cried, wept like he'd never wept before. His great, racking sobs echoed through the chamber like the sounds of tortured pain. (pg 358 hardback) ~ James Dashner
Treasure Chests quotes by James Dashner
Daughter is a treasure that keeps her father wakeful, and worry over her drives away rest. ~ Margaret George
Treasure Chests quotes by Margaret George
Christian, let God's distinguishing love to you be a motive to you to fear Him greatly. He has put His fear in your heart, and may not have given that blessing to your neighbor, perhaps not to your husband, your wife, your child, or your parent. Oh, what an obligation should this thought lay upon your heart to greatly fear the Lord! Remember also that this fear of the Lord is His treasure, a choice jewel, given only to favorites, and to those who are greatly beloved. ~ John Bunyan
Treasure Chests quotes by John Bunyan
She was the most beautiful treasure I have ever seen; hidden in the depth of the ocean, waiting for someone to pull her out. ~ Giovannie De Sadeleer
Treasure Chests quotes by Giovannie De Sadeleer
Sometimes I have a feeling that I just can't get rid of. Sometimes there's an experience that I want to write about that I have to get off my chest. Sometimes there are some words that appeal to you. ~ Edward Hirsch
Treasure Chests quotes by Edward Hirsch
Like a child exploring the attic of an old house on a rainy day, discovering a trunk full of treasure and then calling all his brothers and sisters to share the find, Richard J. 'Foster has 'found' the spiritual disciplines that the modern world has stored away and forgot, and has excitedly called us to celebrate them. For they are, as he shows us, the instruments of joy, the way into mature Christian spirituality and abundant life. ~ Eugene H. Peterson
Treasure Chests quotes by Eugene H. Peterson
The dragon is withered
His bones are now crumbled;
His armour is shivered,
His splendour is humbled!
Though sword shall be rusted
And throne and crown perish
With strength that men trusted
And wealth that they cherish,
Here grass is still growing,
And leaves are yet swinging,
The white water flowing,
And elves are yet singing
Come! Tra-la-la-lally!
Come back to the Valley!

The stars are far brighter
Than gems without measure,
The moon is far whiter
Than silver in treasure:
The fire is more shining
On hearth in the gloaming
Than gold won by mining,
So why go a-roaming?
O! Tra-la-la-lally
Come back to the Valley!

O! Where are you going,
So late in returning?
The river is flowing,
The stars are all burning!
O! Wither so laden,
So sad and so dreary?
Here elf and elf-maiden
Now welcome the weary
With Tra-la-la-lally
Come back to the Valley,
Tra-la-la-lally
Fa-la-la-lally
Fa-la! ~ J.R.R. Tolkien
Treasure Chests quotes by J.R.R. Tolkien
Libraries are more than just a storage place for books, they are treasure troves filled with creativity and knowledge. And that knowledge can be empowering. ~ R.L. Hemlock
Treasure Chests quotes by R.L. Hemlock

Treasure Chests quotes by Kimberly Pauley
Do not lose the treasure of your Self for the pleasure of the senses. ~ Swami Parthasarathy
Treasure Chests quotes by Swami Parthasarathy
When we consecrate ourselves to God, we think we are making a great sacrifice, and doing lots for Him, when really we are only letting go of some little bitsy trinkets we have been grabbing, and when our hands are empty, He fills them full of His treasure. ~ Betty Stam ~ Daniel L. Akin
Treasure Chests quotes by Daniel L. Akin
Trying to talk somebody out of the stuff that they enjoy in life is like trying to talk them out of their faith or their sexuality. It's a pointless exercise that can never be anything but acrimonious and will only highlight unnecessary amounts of difference about things that ultimately don't really matter. Buy the steak you like, worship the god you love, neck with the people that you treasure and don't worry about the numbers. ~ Merlin Mann
Treasure Chests quotes by Merlin Mann
Life is a beautiful collection of temporary experiences. Treasure your unique collection, and enjoy sharing it with others. ~ Matthew Kahn
Treasure Chests quotes by Matthew Kahn
Kelly," her grandmother said, "The Pride needs to be dusted." Deanna and Kelly looked at each other. "The Pride" was a collection of Mrs. Beaufort's dead Siamese cats, all professionally stuffed by a taxidermist to preserve them. They were prominently displayed in the parlor, along with a host of other family treasure including china and costumes from their Beaufort forebears. ~ Noelle Adams
Treasure Chests quotes by Noelle Adams
If you go around a time when you're hungry, around mealtime, then you have a desperate search to find something to eat and you have this interplay between approach and avoidance. You go in a place, you smell, if it doesn't smell so good you go to the next place, you look at all the people, they're happily eating, and then you choose that place. So having to reconnoiter, having to go on a kind of treasure hunt for food is one of my favorite things. ~ Robert Sietsema
Treasure Chests quotes by Robert Sietsema
You are guardian of a treasure,
Oh, just like a sleeping serpent
And you shall see, I shall make you
Spin around like that sleepy snake.
Listen to me. ~ Rumi
Treasure Chests quotes by Rumi
I want your hands on my head."
I nod and edge back to make room for him. "Does it calm your racing thoughts?"
He shakes his head, then takes my hand and spreads it open over his wide chest, his voice textured as he traps my gaze with his. "It calms me here. ~ Katy Evans
Treasure Chests quotes by Katy Evans
Imagine hidden in a simpler exterior a secret receptacle wherein the most precious treasure is deposited - there is a spring which has to be pressed, but the spring is hidden, and the pressure must have a certain strength, so that an accidental pressure would not be sufficient. So likewise is the hope of eternity hidden in man's inmost parts, and affliction is the pressure. When it presses the hidden spring, and strongly enough, then the contents appear in all their glory. ~ Soren Kierkegaard
Treasure Chests quotes by Soren Kierkegaard
The Bible is the great treasure for the curious sinner, fresh water for thirsty painting soul, the revealed truth for the true seeker or worship per,the unrevealed truth for the wrong seekers, a guide to the blind and eternal food for the hungry soul. ~ Ikechukwu Joseph
Treasure Chests quotes by Ikechukwu Joseph
Oh, what a grand design! to make our joy the echo of your excellence. To make our pleasure proof that you now hold the place of Treasure in our lives. To make the gladness of our soul the essence of our worship, and the mirror of your worth. To make yourself most glorified in us, oh God, when we are satisfied in you. How could I, Lord, have ever been to so blind to think think that being loved by you means making much of me and not yourself? ~ John Piper
Treasure Chests quotes by John Piper
We try so hard to hold onto our stuff. We call it our treasure and expect to feel joy. But in God's economy if we want to gain, we must give up. For joy won't ever be found in collecting treasures. Joy radiates in our life only when we share our treasures. ~ Lysa TerKeurst
Treasure Chests quotes by Lysa TerKeurst
Trying to exhaust himself, Vaughan devised an endless almanac of terrifying wounds and insane collisions: The lungs of elderly men punctured by door-handles; the chests of young women impaled on steering-columns; the cheek of handsome youths torn on the chromium latches of quarter-lights. To Vaughan, these wounds formed the key to a new sexuality, born from a perverse technology. The images of these wounds hung in the gallery of his mind, like exhibits in the museum of a slaughterhouse. ~ J.G. Ballard
Treasure Chests quotes by J.G. Ballard
Every humane and patriotic heart must grieve to see a bloody and causeless rebellion, costing thousands of human lives and millions of treasure. But as it was predetermined and inevitable, it was long enough delayed. Now is the appropriate time to solve the greatest problem ever submitted to civilized man. ~ Thaddeus Stevens
Treasure Chests quotes by Thaddeus Stevens
Hearts, you say? You Humans are always so quick to speak of such things. As though you carry your hearts in the very palms of your hands. But this eye of mine perceives all. There is nothing that it overlooks. If this eye cannot see a thing, then it does not exist. That is the assumption under which I have always fought. What is this "heart"? If I tear open that chest of yours, will I see it there? If I smash open that skull of yours, will I see it there? ~ Tite Kubo
Treasure Chests quotes by Tite Kubo
It is always our treasure that the lightning strikes. ~ Harriet Beecher Stowe
Treasure Chests quotes by Harriet Beecher Stowe
The essential lesson I've learned in life is to just be yourself. Treasure the magnificent being that you are and recognize first and foremost you're not here as a human being only. You're a spiritual being having a human experience. ~ Wayne Dyer
Treasure Chests quotes by Wayne Dyer
I came to realize that one single human being, comprehended in his depth, who gives generously from the treasures of his heart, bestows on us more riches than Caesar or Alexander could ever conquer. Here is our kingdom, the best of monarchies, the best republic. Here is our garden, our happiness. ~ Ernst Junger
Treasure Chests quotes by Ernst Junger
Every part of my body felt electric. My chest ached and my head throbbed with the great terrible limitless possibility of the morning, and when it came, the sky was washed white, everything was new, and I hadn't slept at all. ~ Dave Eggers
Treasure Chests quotes by Dave Eggers
What would you here, unhappy mortal, and for what cause have you left your own land to enter this, which is forbidden to such as you? Can you show reason why my power should not be laid on you in heavy punishment for your insolence and folly?" Then Beren looking up beheld the eyes of Luthien, and his glance went also to the face of Melian; and it seemed to him that words were put into his mouth. Fear left him, and the pride of the eldest house of Men returned to him; and he said: "My fate, O King, led me hither, through perils such as few even of the Elves would dare. And here I have found what I sought not indeed, but finding I would possess for ever. For it is above all gold and silver, and beyond all jewels. Neither rock, nor steel, nor the fires of Morgoth, nor all the powers of the Elf-kingdoms, shall keep from me the treasure that I desire. For Luthien your daughter is the fairest of all the Children of the World." Then silence fell upon the hall ... ~ J.R.R. Tolkien
Treasure Chests quotes by J.R.R. Tolkien
We ought to be beating our chests every day. We ought to look in the mirror, stick out our chests, suck in our bellies, and say, 'Damn, we're Americans,' and smile. ~ Jay Garner
Treasure Chests quotes by Jay Garner
The first time the word worship appears in the King James Version of the Old Testament, it appears with appalling import. 'Abide ye here,' Abraham tells his servant, while 'I and the lad go yonder and worship.' The terrible offering of his son's life is what the Bible's first instance of 'worship' portends. In the New Testament, the word worship first appears again in conjunction with a costly offering. It is used in reference to the wise men, who 'worshipped' the Christ child by 'open[ing] their treasure' and 'present[ing] unto him gifts.' Worship, then, is about what we are prepared to relinquish--what we give up at personal cost. ~ Terryl L. Givens
Treasure Chests quotes by Terryl L. Givens
You are treasure beyond any price. ~ Megan Whalen Turner
Treasure Chests quotes by Megan Whalen Turner
I like to stand in my kitchen with the script on a counter that's about chest high. Usually I do something else at the same time - make a chicken or slice vegetables - and all day long I just read it over and over and over. ~ Christopher Walken
Treasure Chests quotes by Christopher Walken
My mother thinks I'm a national treasure. She's the only one who thinks my Golden Kela award is the greatest gift ever. ~ Cyrus Broacha
Treasure Chests quotes by Cyrus Broacha
This place might have been paradise, a treasure trove far greater than any to be found in a pirate yarn.
Everywhere he looked there were books.
They rose into the air in majestic columns, stacks and stacks of them forming a maze that seemed to stretch to forever; the stacks rose high into the air and disappeared towards the unseen ceiling. The air had the overwhelming smell of old books, of polished leather, and yellowing leaves, like the smell of a bookshop or a public library magnified a thousand-fold. ~ Lavie Tidhar
Treasure Chests quotes by Lavie Tidhar
And now I lost my last treasure: the dreaming. For nothing in the dreams took the place of the human warmth I had witnessed. Now I felt utterly poor, because I could not create a human companion.

This hunger which had inhabited her entire being, which had thinned her blood, transpired through her bones, attacked the roots of her hair, given a fragility to her skin which was never to disappear entirely, had been so enormous that it had marked her whole being and her eyes with an indelible mark. Although her life changed and every want was filled later, this appearance of hunger remained. As if nothing could ever quite fill it. Her being had received no sun, no food, no air, no warmth, no love. It retained open pores of yearning and longing, mysterious spongy cells of absorption. The space between actuality, absolute deprivation, and the sumptuosity of her imagination could never be entirely covered. What she had created in the void, in the emptiness, in the bareness continued to shame all that was offered her, and her large, infinitely blue eyes continued to assert the immensity of her hunger. ~ Anais Nin
Treasure Chests quotes by Anais Nin
There's some human instinct which makes a man treasure what he is not to make any use of, because everybody does not possess it. ~ Mark Twain
Treasure Chests quotes by Mark Twain
Laura Ingalls Wilder's 'Little House' series is a national treasure, beloved by generations. But what I love most is the peek it provides into the planting, harvesting, hunting, and preparing of the foods that America's settler families ate in the late 1800s. ~ Isabel Gillies
Treasure Chests quotes by Isabel Gillies
The act of war itself is the least productive activity for mankind. It consumes men and materials, demands our time and energies which might otherwise be used to advance our nation, spends the treasure and labors of the people, orphans our children, and is the source for unspeakable violence, tragedy, sorrow and waste. My opinion of war can be summed up in five words: Destructive. Wasteful. Expensive. Inflationary. Bureaucratic. In this opinion, I am not alone, nor was I the first to make the observation I am certain. ~ Daniel Rundquist
