The nature of search engines is that they can make a major issue out of something small that no person would otherwise be able to find. ~ Max Mosley
Search Engines quotes by Max Mosley
Joke: "Where's the best place to hide a dead body?" Answer: "On page 3 of Google's search results." The only way to be influential is to be found via search engines! ~ Lori Randall Stradtman
Search Engines quotes by Lori Randall Stradtman
I think the search engines are the new equivalent of publishing: an enabler of information. ~ James Dyson
Search Engines quotes by James Dyson
Everyone knows what search engines are. But relatively few know how to use them effectively. ~ Marc Ostrofsky
Search Engines quotes by Marc Ostrofsky
That is really not much different from the search engines that are being constructed today for users throughout the entire world to allow them to search through databases to access the information that they require. ~ Stephen Cambone
Search Engines quotes by Stephen Cambone
When people search for "Life Quotes" they are often looking for quotes about life. Why do the major search engines only give them hundreds of pages of commercial garbage about Life Insurance Quotes? ~ Bill Austin
Search Engines quotes by Bill Austin
China's Internet will continue to be policed and controlled, information filtered, sites prohibited, noncompliant search engines excluded, and sensitive search words disallowed. And where China goes, others, also informed by different values, are already and will follow. ~ Martin Jacques
Search Engines quotes by Martin Jacques
Open source is a beautiful way of collaborating; but what's happening on the free Internet is more akin to the 'crowdsourcing' of journalists and other content creators by advertisers who no longer have to pay them - only the search engines that parse their articles. ~ Douglas Rushkoff
Search Engines quotes by Douglas Rushkoff
If the search engines don't respect the creators, there won't be anything to search in the future because creators have to make a living too. ~ Patricia Schroeder
Search Engines quotes by Patricia Schroeder
Traditional horizontal search engines cannot always identify the target audience, niche or vertical industry of a page or site. Vertical search engines address this issue by the nature of their design. They identify sites according to more specific criteria and sometimes even by human input. ~ Marc Ostrofsky
Search Engines quotes by Marc Ostrofsky
We never set up Yandex to imitate what others were doing. We've been in the business longer than other search engines and have created many original products. ~ Arkady Volozh
Search Engines quotes by Arkady Volozh
The implications of such marginalization are profound. The insights about sexist and racist biases... are important because information organizations, from libraries to schools and universities to governmental agencies, are increasingly reliant on being displaced by a variety of web-based "tools" as if there are no political, social, or economic consequences of doing so. ~ Safiya Umoja Noble
Search Engines quotes by Safiya Umoja Noble
The success of every websites now depends on search engine optimisation and digital marketing strategy. If you are on first page of all major search engines then you are ahead among your competitors in terms of online sales. ~ Dr. Christopher Dayagdag
Search Engines quotes by Dr. Christopher Dayagdag
I suppose it was a dream that lasted really about fifty years. By the time universal education had begun to work properly, say 1925, and the time the first teachers started to hold back information, say 1975. So a fifty-year dream."
"I think what's happened is that because they themselves know less than their predecessors, innovators and leaders today have remade the world in their own image. Spellchecks. Search engines. They've remodeled the world so that ignorance is not really a disadvantage. And I should think that increasingly they'll carry on reshaping the world to accommodate a net loss of knowledge. ~ Sebastian Faulks
Search Engines quotes by Sebastian Faulks
Memory has always been social. Now we're using search engines and computers to augment our memories, too. ~ Clive Thompson
Search Engines quotes by Clive Thompson
With Internet technology you can capture a photo, a quote, or an article, store it locally and upload it into the Net more than once, if you wish, to multiple sites. Can you imagine then forcing the search engines to somehow not index that information? ~ Vint Cerf
Search Engines quotes by Vint Cerf
In the U.S., search engines are king. That is because everyone already knows what they are looking for. Brands have been around for a long time. ~ Victor Koo
Search Engines quotes by Victor Koo
My guess is (it will be) about 300 years until computers are as good as, say, your local reference library in search. ~ Craig Silverstein
Search Engines quotes by Craig Silverstein
I think as more people use the phones to access the Internet, they have a lot less patience for trying to find things on the search engines. That is because you need to figure a lot of things out for search to work. ~ Adam D'Angelo
Search Engines quotes by Adam D'Angelo
Much of the lifeblood of blogs is search engines - more than half the traffic for most blogs. ~ Matt Mullenweg
Search Engines quotes by Matt Mullenweg
SEO is knowing what the search engines want and giving it to them ... so hard they f***ing bleed ~ David Naylor
Search Engines quotes by David Naylor
Transactive memory works best when you have a sense of how your partners' minds work - where they're strong, where they're weak, where their biases lie. I can judge that for people close to me. But it's harder with digital tools, particularly search engines. ~ Clive Thompson
Search Engines quotes by Clive Thompson
Relevance is a search engine's holy grail. People want results that are closely connected to their queries. ~ Marc Ostrofsky
Search Engines quotes by Marc Ostrofsky
My favorite thing is landscaping. I love landscaping. And so what I'll do is, mostly I put language into search engines, and if I want to look, like, at tulip gardens, or, like, Georgian gardens, i love English gardens, how they're laid out. Japanese gardens, Asian gardens. So, I'm kind of a frustrated landscaper. ~ Michele Bachmann
Search Engines quotes by Michele Bachmann
It's amazing what you can get on open source now if you actually use the right search engines to find the material. ~ Gus O'Donnell
Search Engines quotes by Gus O'Donnell
Google prefers a site that's dynamic and frequently updated. This doesn't mean that every page needs to change every day, but the addition and modification of content on the pages can enhance the experience for your customers and the search engines. ~ Rob Mabry
Search Engines quotes by Rob Mabry

3 ~ Gary B. Shelly
Search Engines quotes by Gary B. Shelly
In the future, search engines should be as useful as HAL in the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey-but hopefully they won't kill people. ~ Sergey Brin
Search Engines quotes by Sergey Brin
Anyone unhappy with Google can use other search engines - including DuckDuckGo and Blekko, along with Bing or Yahoo. ~ Marvin Ammori
Search Engines quotes by Marvin Ammori
...large technologies such as Google need to be broken up and regulated, because their consolidated power and cultural influence make competition largely impossible. This monopoly in the information sector is a threat to democracy... ~ Safiya Umoja Noble
Search Engines quotes by Safiya Umoja Noble
The United States has an unfair advantage, as most of the popular cloud services, search engines, computer and mobile operating systems or web browsers are made by U.S. companies. When the rest of the world uses the net, they are effectively using U.S.-based services, making them a legal target for U.S. intelligence. ~ Mikko Hypponen
Search Engines quotes by Mikko Hypponen
Google, his mother says. The new new found land. Not so long ago it was only the mentally deranged, the unworldly pedants, the imperialists and the naivest of schoolchildren who believed that encyclopaediae gave you any equivalence for the actual world, or any real understanding of it. And door-to-door salesmen sold them, and they were never to be trusted. And even the authorized encyclopaediae, even them we never mistook for or accepted as any real knowledge of the world. But now the world trusts search engines without a thought. The canniest door-to-door salesmen ever invented. Never mind foot in the door. Already right at the heart of the house. ~ Ali Smith
Search Engines quotes by Ali Smith
Vertical search engines that match your business, service or products with a target market offer you a higher conversion rate than traditional search engines. Because they have already qualified their interest by coming to a search engine with a specific focus, searchers will be more receptive to targeted advertising. ~ Marc Ostrofsky
Search Engines quotes by Marc Ostrofsky
Governmental surveillance is not about the government collecting the information you're sharing publicly and willingly; it's about collecting the information you don't think you're sharing at all, such as the online searches you do on search engines ... or private emails or text messages ... or the location of your mobile phone at any time. ~ Mikko Hypponen
Search Engines quotes by Mikko Hypponen
N]ow, even more than in the past, creativity is a key to economic success. We no longer need people to follow directions in robot-like ways (we have robots for that), or to perform routine calculations (we have computers for that), or to answer already-answered questions (we have search engines for that). But we do need people who can ask and seek answers to new questions, solve new problems and anticipate obstacles before they arise. These all require the ability to think creatively. The creative mind is a playful mind." - PETER GRAY, PH.D., Research Professor, Boston College ~ Robin Landa
Search Engines quotes by Robin Landa
effect of social sites on search engines ~ John Michal
Search Engines quotes by John Michal
Online advertising works, although it lands especially on search engines like Google and Yahoo. They achieve much higher revenues online than the websites of publishing companies. ~ Hubert Burda
Search Engines quotes by Hubert Burda
But it is not these things which most impress the stranger on his journey into the civil lines, into the old city itself (where he becomes lost and notes the passage of a woman dressed in the burkha in the street of the moneylenders) and then back past the secretariat, the Legislative Assembly and Government House, and on into the old cantonment in a search for points of present contact with the reality of twenty years ago, the repercussions, for example, of the affair in the Bibighar Gardens. What impresses him is something for which there is no memorial but which all these things collectively bear witness to: the fact that here in Ranpur, and in places like Ranpur, the British came to the end of themselves as they were. ~ Paul Scott
Search Engines quotes by Paul Scott
A kid now can practically record a song or edit a short film on his way to school. I think that will produce, perhaps, more less-interesting things - or you'll have to search more to find the interesting things. But I also think it's exciting. ~ Michael Pitt
Search Engines quotes by Michael Pitt
Your CV is just a commodity, Package yourself. ~ Bernard Kelvin Clive
Search Engines quotes by Bernard Kelvin Clive
Indeed what reason may not go to Schoole to the wisdome of Bees, Ants, and Spiders? what wise hand teacheth them to doe what reason cannot teach us? ruder heads stand amazed at those prodigious pieces of nature, Whales, Elephants, Dromidaries and Camels; these I confesse, are the Colossus and Majestick pieces of her hand; but in these narrow Engines there is more curious Mathematicks, and the civilitie of these little Citizens more neatly sets forth the wisdome of their Maker. ~ Thomas Browne
Search Engines quotes by Thomas Browne
A search can either damage or undamaged the soul ~ Sunday Adelaja
Search Engines quotes by Sunday Adelaja
It is sunlight in modified form which turns all the windmills and water wheels and the machinery which they drive. It is the energy derived from coal and petroleum (fossil sunlight) which propels our steam and gas engines, our locomotives and automobiles ... Food is simply sunlight in cold storage. ~ John Harvey Kellogg
Search Engines quotes by John Harvey Kellogg
Where death follows, there's life. When darkness surrounds you in a world of chaos, search and you'll eventually find the light. ~ Lee Argus
Search Engines quotes by Lee Argus
When Odette ceased to be for him a creature always absent, longed for, imaginary, when the feeling he had for her was no longer the same mysterious disturbance caused in him by the phrase from the sonata, but affection, gratitude, when normal relations were established between them that would put an end to his madness and his gloom, then no doubt the actions of Odette's daily life would appear to him of little interest in themselves ... (p. 302, In Search of Lost Time Vol. 1 The Way by Swann's, Lydia Davis translation) ~ Marcel Proust
Search Engines quotes by Marcel Proust
All your life you compare and contrast, explore and search. But knowing yourself well is, well, elusive. ~ Stedman Graham
Search Engines quotes by Stedman Graham
While Google has given away pretty much everything it has to offer - from search and maps to email and apps - this has always been part of its greater revenue model: the pennies per placement it gets for seeding the entire Google universe of search and services with ever more targeted advertising. ~ Douglas Rushkoff
Search Engines quotes by Douglas Rushkoff
Silence emerges from the sound of rain and spreads in a crescendo of gray monotony over the narrow street I contemplate. I'm sleeping while awake, standing by the window, leaning against it as against everything. I search in myself for the sensations I feel before these falling threads of darkly luminous water that stand out from the grimy building facades and especially from the open windows. And I don't know what I feel or what I want to feel. I don't know what to think or where I am. ~ Fernando Pessoa
Search Engines quotes by Fernando Pessoa
We do not have to go in search of passion. Instead we need to search for God, who plants the seed of passion in our hearts. ~ Pam Farrel
Search Engines quotes by Pam Farrel
It's voyeuristic the way you search
for answers in these cries for help,
and how you see Death's fingers
but always think they're paintbrushes. ~ Miriam Joy
Search Engines quotes by Miriam Joy
In any racing engine, the nearer you are to it disintegrating, the better it's performance will be ~ Keith Duckworth
Search Engines quotes by Keith Duckworth
Man's struggle to be rational about himself, about his relationship to his own society and to other peoples and nations involves a constant search for understanding among all peoples and all cultures-a search that can only be effective when learning is pursued on a worldwide basis. ~ J. William Fulbright
Search Engines quotes by J. William Fulbright
I am forever astonished at the longevity of childhood. How it never ends. How we are what we were. How turtles and engines and stolen kisses leave their jet trail across our gaping lives. ~ Tim O'Brien
Search Engines quotes by Tim O'Brien
The job you seek isn't out there in some job description, it's already inside you, aching to get out. ~ John Tarnoff
Search Engines quotes by John Tarnoff
I couldn't make it in a chicken world, sir, so I hit the road in search of something better. ~ John A. Heldt
Search Engines quotes by John A. Heldt
Taking consciousness as a primitive rather than as an emergent property of the physical brain, Chalmers's search for a nonreductive ontology of consciousness led him to what he calls panprotopsychism. The proto reflects the possibility that the intrinsic properties of the basic entities of the physical world may be not quite mental, but that collectively they are able to constitute the mental (it is in this sense of proto that physics is "protochemical"). In this view, mind is much more fundamental to the universe than we ordinarily imagine. Panprotopsychism has the virtue of integrating mental events into the physical world. "We need psychophysical laws connecting physical processes to subjective experience," Chalmers says. "Certain aspects of quantum mechanics lend themselves very nicely to this. ~ Jeffrey M. Schwartz
Search Engines quotes by Jeffrey M. Schwartz
True, man cannot escape death. But for the present he is alive; and life, not death, takes hold of him ... It is mans innate nature that he seeks to preserve and to strengthen his life, that he is discontented and aims at removing uneasiness, that he is in search of what may be called happiness. ~ Ludwig Von Mises
Search Engines quotes by Ludwig Von Mises
The best thing about search is you always find what you want. The worst thing about search is you never find what you do not want. ~ Joshua Cohen
Search Engines quotes by Joshua Cohen
And yet the city is not dead: the machines, the engines, the turbines continue to hum and vibrate, every Wheel's cogs are caught in the cogs of other wheels, trains run on tracks and signals on wires; and no human is there any longer to send or receive, to charge or discharge. The machines, which have long known they could do without men, have finally driven them out; and after a long exile, the wild animals have come back to occupy the territory wrested from the forest: foxes and martens wave their soft tails over the control panels starred with manometers and levers and gauges and diagrams; badgers and dormice luxuriate on batteries and magnetos. Man was necessary; now he is useless. For the world to receive information from the world and enjoy it, now computers and butterflies suffice. ~ Italo Calvino
Search Engines quotes by Italo Calvino
The sudden and total disappearance of Mawlana aroused resentment among his disciples and students, some of them becoming highly critical of Hazrat Shams, even threatening him. They believed Hazrat Shams had ruined their spiritual circle and prevented them from listening to Mawlana's sermons. In March of 1246 he left Konya and went to Syria without warning. After he left, Mawlana was grief stricken, secluding himself even more rather than engaging with his disciples and students. He was without a doubt furious with them. Realising the error of their ways, they repeatedly repented before Mawlana. Some months later, news arrived that Hazrat Shams had been seen in Damascus and a letter was sent to him with apologising for the behaviour of these disciples. Hazrat Sultan Walad and a search party were sent to Damascus to invite him back and in April 1247, he made his return. During the return journey, he invited Hazrat Sultan Walad to ride on horseback although he declined, choosing instead to walk alongside him, explaining that as a servant, he could not ride in the presence of such a king. Hazrat Shams was received back with joyous celebration with sama ceremonies being held for several days, and all those that had shown him resentment tearfully asked for his forgiveness. He reserved special praise for Hazrat Sultan Walad for his selflessness, which greatly pleased Mawlana. As he originally had no intention to return to Konya, he most likely would not have returned if Hazrat Sulta ~ Shams Tabrizi
Search Engines quotes by Shams Tabrizi
Sometimes a day is a symbolic day, and you behave symbolically. Sometimes you search inside for a feeling, and, finding none, you remember that no feeling is frequently the most possible feeling. ~ Hilary Thayer Hamann
Search Engines quotes by Hilary Thayer Hamann
If God was with you all along, why did you rummage around this whole time in search of Him? Because although it is a fact that He cannot be found by seeking, only those who seek can find Him. ~ Elif Shafak
Search Engines quotes by Elif Shafak
I always try to create conflict and drama in my books; it's the engine of the novel. ~ Monica Ali
Search Engines quotes by Monica Ali

Since I'd forgotten for a moment where you are,
I search for you with hope in my bones. ~ Hester Knibbe
Search Engines quotes by Hester Knibbe
Strategy is, above all else, the search for above average returns. ~ Gary Hamel
Search Engines quotes by Gary Hamel
I liked Superman/Batman: The Search for Kryptonite because I really enjoyed the interaction between those two characters. ~ Henry Cavill
Search Engines quotes by Henry Cavill
From birth to death we are wasting our entire lives in search of the elusive happiness everywhere else while ignoring its abundance presence within ourselves. --- from the holy book Bhagavad Gita ~ Varma
