The respect + love for humanity that's why I travel.
We are all special and gifted beings, no matter our religious differences. The message should be peace,
love and prosperity. There should be no adversity but solidarity. ~ Henry Johnson Jr
Love For Humanity quotes by Henry Johnson Jr
My so-called love for humanity, for instance, isn't something I get to carry around in my heart. It has to find application among the weird, desperate people who populate my daily experience. It has to put on flesh. If it doesn't, I might take pleasure in the warm, fuzzy feeling of my personal, private faith, but it wouldn't be appropriate to call it Christianity. ~ David Dark
Love For Humanity quotes by David Dark
The more I detest men individually the more ardent becomes my love for humanity. ~ Fyodor Dostoyevsky
Love For Humanity quotes by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
Be the Church - that is, be an evangelical movement that tells the world of God's passionate love for humanity. That, not institutional maintenance, is what the Church is for. When the Church is that, and does that, it flourishes ... ~ George Weigel
Love For Humanity quotes by George Weigel
we all had our own reasons to hate the narrative, but that didn't necessarily mean we had an overwhelming love for humanity. So we loved the quiet instead. The spaces where there were no stories, where anything could happen. ~ Seanan McGuire
Love For Humanity quotes by Seanan McGuire
Give me Your eyes for just one second, Give me Your eyes so I can see, Everything that I keep missing, Give me Your love for humanity, Give me Your arms for the broken-hearted, The ones that are far beyond my reach, Give me Your heart for the ones forgotten, Give me Your eyes so I can see ~ Brandon Heath
Love For Humanity quotes by Brandon Heath
Meditation on the majestic energyof the universe should increase our love for humanity, should widen, not narrow, our hearts. ~ Richard Holloway
Love For Humanity quotes by Richard Holloway
There is an end of human life but there is no end of human love for humanity. ~ Debasish Mridha
Love For Humanity quotes by Debasish Mridha
I don't want harmony. From love for humanity I don't want it. I would rather be left with the unavenged suffering. I would rather remain with my unavenged suffering and unsatisfied indignation, even if I were wrong. Besides, too high a price is asked for harmony; it's beyond our means to pay so much to enter on it. And so I hasten to give back my entrance ticket, and if I am an honest man I am bound to give it back as soon as possible. And that I am doing. It's not God that I don't accept, Alyosha, only I most respectfully return him the ticket.
-Ivan Karamazov ~ Fyodor Dostoyevsky
Love For Humanity quotes by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
Observe the nature of today's alleged peace movements. Professing love and concern for the survival of mankind, they keep screaming that the nuclear-weapons race should be stopped, that armed force should be abolished as a means of settling disputes among nations, and that war should be outlawed in the name of humanity. Yet these same peace movements do not oppose dictatorships; the political views of their members range through all shades of the statist spectrum, from welfare statism to socialism to fascism tocommunism. This means that they are opposed to the use of coercion by one nation against another, but not by the government of a nation against its own citizens; it means that they are opposed to the use of force against armed adversaries, but not against the disarmed. Consider the plunder, the destruction, the starvation, the brutality, the slave-labor camps, the torture chambers, the wholesale slaughter perpetrated by dictatorships. Yet this is what today's alleged peace-lovers are willing to advocate or tolerate - in the name of love for humanity. ~ Ayn Rand
Love For Humanity quotes by Ayn Rand
You may think or tell others that you are a realized person,
You may even convince others or deceive yourself;
But unless you have love for humanity and peace within,
Self-realization will never knock at your door. ~ Gian Kumar
Love For Humanity quotes by Gian Kumar
Faith in spirituality and love for humanity is purely transcendental. ~ Debasish Mridha
Love For Humanity quotes by Debasish Mridha
She really did possess a love for humanity, and the further removed humanity was, both in space and time, the more she loved it. ~ James Hilton
Love For Humanity quotes by James Hilton
The true "LOVE FOR HUMANITY" is an act of Heroic Genius. ~ Henry Johnson Jr
Love For Humanity quotes by Henry Johnson Jr
Nationalism is our form of incest, is our idolatry, is our
insanity. 'Patriotism' is its cult ... Just as love for one
individual which excludes the love for others is not love,
love for one's country which is not part of one's love
for humanity is not love, but idolatrous worship. ~ Erich Fromm
Love For Humanity quotes by Erich Fromm
An atheist is respectable as long as he does not teach that the dignity of man is the basis of ethics and that love for humanity is the true religion. ~ Nicolas Gomez Davila
Love For Humanity quotes by Nicolas Gomez Davila
Deep love for humanity is a vaccine for depression. ~ Debasish Mridha
Love For Humanity quotes by Debasish Mridha
After this conscious and deliberate choice, Professor Moscati definitively opted for hospital work: to his hospital rounds he devoted his time, experience, human abilities and supernatural gifts. The patients and their physical and spiritual sufferings, were always uppermost in his thoughts, because "they are the faces of Jesus Christ, immortal, godliike souls, and the Gospel precept urges us to love them as ourselves." (p. 32-33) ~ Antonio Tripodoro
Love For Humanity quotes by Antonio Tripodoro
Everyday you have to fight so that love for humanity can be transformed into concrete deeds, into acts that set an example, that mobilize. ~ Che Guevara
Love For Humanity quotes by Che Guevara
When I listen to old music, that's one of the few times that I actually have a kind of love for humanity. ~ Robert Crumb
Love For Humanity quotes by Robert Crumb
It's God that's worrying me. That's the only thing that's worrying me. What if He doesn't exist? What if Rakitin's right -that it's an idea made up by men? Then, if He doesn't exist, man is the king of the earth, of the universe. Magnificent! Only how is he going to be good without God? That's the question. I always come back to that. Who is man going to love then? To whom will he be thankful? To whom will he sing the hymn? Rakitin laughs. Rakitin says that one can love humanity instead of God. Well, only an idiot can maintain that. I can't understand it. Life's easy for Rakitin. 'You'd better think about the extension of civic rights, or of keeping down the price of meat. You will show your love for humanity more simply and directly by that, than by philosophy.' I answered him: 'Well, but you, without a God, are more likely to raise the price of meat if it suits you, and make a rouble on every penny.' He lost his temper. But after all, what is goodness? Answer that, Alyosha. Goodness is one thing with me and another with a Chinaman, so it's relative. Or isn't it? Is it not relative? A treacherous question! You won't laugh if I tell you it's kept me awake for two nights. I only wonder now how people can live and think nothing about it. Vanity! ~ Fyodor Dostoyevsky
Love For Humanity quotes by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
The chaos, the organized, instrumental fear and pestilence was everywhere, and still he was in love with his existence. In. Love. With the whole mad mess, the goldenness, the ripening young psyche of the world. ~ Laurie Perez
Love For Humanity quotes by Laurie Perez
And do you know, I came with horror to the conclusion that, if anything could dissipate my love for humanity, it would be ingratitude. In short, I am a hired servant, I expect my payment at once--that is, praise, and the repayment of love with love. Otherwise I am incapable of loving anyone. ~ Fyodor Dostoyevsky
Love For Humanity quotes by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
Men know so little about us women. We've a weakness, it is true, for those who charm us, but we always come back to those who love us. ~ Henry Becque
Love For Humanity quotes by Henry Becque
I'm a player and I do it because I love playing whether it's for my album or someone else's. ~ Tony Levin
Love For Humanity quotes by Tony Levin
where oh where, in what cemetery of the heavens do the tender words of lovers rest when they love no more? (Searching for author) ~ Unknown Author Searching
Love For Humanity quotes by Unknown Author Searching
Lovers reeked of each other after they had exchanged body fluids & hormones in the union of love. But men who dined on a girl`s Nectar did not exchange body fluids & hormones with her. Thus, although she would not reek of them, they would reek of her. And that was the reason why everyone who had ever tasted Phyllis` Nectar had yearned for her, starting with her earliest lover of all, Saturn.
Whilst Mars pined for her, he felt that he had also been humiliated & humbled by her in public. And so, there was a secret grudge, somewhere in his bosom. It was a strange feeling of love & hate & this explosive mixture within him, always drove him to war.[MMT] ~ Nicholas Chong
Love For Humanity quotes by Nicholas Chong
I am not a child, and I know plenty of love. Love is wanting to be with that person for the rest of your life no matter of the consequences. Love is being willing to sacrifice your life for somebody else." He met his father's eyes, "Love is seeing the good in somebody regardless of their title or station in life. Love is so painful and yet so wonderful that it is worth it!" Emane pushed himself back up again from the table speaking deliberately. "Love is understanding that someday you might lose the person that you love, but that every day you get to spend with them is worth the risk. Love is taking the good with the bad." His voice rose with each sentiment. "Love is trust. Love is wanting to understand even when you don't." Staring at his father, Emane added, "I know of love, Father, and I did not learn it from Ciera. ~ Devri Walls
Love For Humanity quotes by Devri Walls
I was thrown into a community production of 'Bye Bye Birdie' or something when I was a kid. I wanted to just build the sets, but I wasn't allowed to just build the sets unless I auditioned for the play. So I auditioned for the play and was thrown into the chorus. During the course of that I fell in love with it, and I never really turned back. ~ Michael Stuhlbarg
Love For Humanity quotes by Michael Stuhlbarg
For all who love freedom and peace, the world without Saddam Hussein's regime is a better and safer place. ~ George W. Bush
Love For Humanity quotes by George W. Bush
His love for my mother wasn't about looking back and loving something that would never change. It was about loving my mother for everything
for her brokenness and her fleeing, for her being there right then in that moment before the sun rose and the hospital staff came in. It was about touching that hair with the side of his fingertip, and knowing yet plumbing fearlessly the depths of her ocean eyes. ~ Alice Sebold
Love For Humanity quotes by Alice Sebold
What war did for him (hasten disillusionment with communism), childbirth did for me. I began to notice what neglected, neurotic waifs the children of Communists were and to question the genuineness of the love of mankind that didn't begin at home. ~ Joy Davidman
Love For Humanity quotes by Joy Davidman
But the love I have for all of you doesn't stop the hurt I feel inside. ~ Francisco X Stork
Love For Humanity quotes by Francisco X Stork
The number one mistake is giving pets table scraps. I made the mistake thinking I was showing my dog love by giving her food and treats. You see a tiny 4 oz. piece of cheese, but for a Boston Terrier like mine, that's like one and a half hamburgers. That's unhealthy. ~ Alison Sweeney
Love For Humanity quotes by Alison Sweeney
Why we write.
Because art blows life into the lifeless, death into the deathless. Because art's lie is preferable, in truth, to life's beautiful terror. Because as time does not pass (nothing, as Beckett tells us, passes) it passes the time. Because Death, our mirthless master, is somehow amused by epitaphs. Because epitaphs well struck give Death, our vorcious master, heartburn. Because fiction imitates life's beauty, thereby inventing the beauty life lacks. Because fiction is the best position, at once exotic and familiar, for fucking the world. Because fiction, mediating paradox, celebrates it. Because fiction, mothered by love, loves love as a mother might her unloving child. Because fiction speaks, hopelessly, beautifully, as the world speaks. Because God, created in the storyteller's image, can be destroyed only by its maker. Because in its perversity, art harmonizes the disharmonious, and because in its profanity, fiction sanctifies life. Because, in its terrible isolation, writing is a path to brotherhood. Because in the beginning was the gesture and in the end the come, as well in between what we have are words. Because of all arts, only fiction can unmake the myths that unman men. Because of its endearing futility, its outrageous pretentions. Because the pen, though short, casts a long shadow upon (it must be said) no surface. Because the world is reinvented every day and this is how it is done. Because there is nothing new under the sun except its expression. ~ Robert Coover
Love For Humanity quotes by Robert Coover
You can boil your life down to a single suitcase, if you desperately have to. Ask yourself what you really need, and it won't be what you imagine - you will easily toss aside unfinished work, and bills, and your daily calendar to make room for the pair of flannel pajamas you wear when it rains; and the stone your child gave you that is shaped like a heart; and the battered paperback you revisit every April because it was what you were reading the first time you fell in love. It turns out that what's important is not everything that you've accumulated all these years, but those few things you can carry with you. ~ Jodi Picoult
Love For Humanity quotes by Jodi Picoult
Life is a dream; life is a journey. Life is a miracle, a search for destiny. ~ Debasish Mridha
Love For Humanity quotes by Debasish Mridha
Humans were made for love and beauty; their vulnerability was what made them feel on the deepest level and what could also crush their will to live. ~ Juliette Cross
Love For Humanity quotes by Juliette Cross
The clock of life is wound but once,
And no man has the power
To tell just when the hands will stop
At late or early hour.

To lose one's wealth is sad indeed,
To lose one's health is more,
To lose one's soul is such a loss
That no man can restore.

The present only is our own,
So live, love, toil with a will,
Place no faith in "Tomorrow,"
For the Clock may then be still. ~ Robert H. Smith
Love For Humanity quotes by Robert H. Smith
My god, I hope you find love. And I don't just mean that in regards to someone you wrap your tired bones around at night. I mean that I hope you find love in every aspect of your life. I hope you find it tucked into early morning sunrises and the smell of your favorite places. I hope you find it strung between the laughter you share with friends I hope it bounces off of you when you hug the people you care for I hope it swells within your rib cage whenever you hear your favorite song or discover something that moves you. I hope you fall in love with growth, and change, and the messiness, and the beauty of fucking up, and making mistakes, and becoming exactly who you want to be. I hope you find love in places that were once devoid of it, in places within yourself that you could have been softer to, kinder to, in the past. Because if there is one thing I have learned, it is that love is so much more than a boy or a girl who holds your heart. Love is everything around you. It is everything. ~ Bianca Sparacino
Love For Humanity quotes by Bianca Sparacino
In this world, it is too common for people to search for someone to lose themselves in. But I am already lost. I will look for someone to find myself in. ~ C. JoyBell C.
Love For Humanity quotes by C. JoyBell C.
If I can't have you for the rest of my life, I will be alone. ~ J.B. McGee
Love For Humanity quotes by J.B. McGee
Do I advise you to love thy neighbor? I suggest rather to escape from thy neighbor and to love those who are the farthest away from you. Higher than the love for thy neighbor is the love for the man who is distant and has still to come. ~ Friedrich Nietzsche
Love For Humanity quotes by Friedrich Nietzsche
You bring me the deepest joy that can be felt by a man whose invincible belief is that Science and Peace will triumph over Ignorance and War, that nations will unite, not to destroy, but to build, and that the future will belong to those who will have done most for suffering humanity. ~ Louis Pasteur
Love For Humanity quotes by Louis Pasteur
You should never sit around waiting for life to start because it's leaving you with every second."
"You should explore the world," I said, tears springing to my eyes for no rational reason. "Do dangerous thing. Ignore the fuck out of conventional wisdom. Walk on fire. Treat everyone with kindness because people are the only things worth holding on to. Live without regrets because there is no time for that shit. Never forget the way home, and leave a trail of breadcrumbs if you have to. Love, and get your heart broken, and say fuck it, and love again and then again. ~ Kate Canterbary
Love For Humanity quotes by Kate Canterbary
Compassion for oneself requires a willingness to step OUTside your own story and see it with loving eyes; the courage to recognize truth and follow new leads; the wish for your own heart to heal and the intention to add a vibrant rhythm to enhance the greater dance around you as you begin to join in. ~ Laurie Perez
Love For Humanity quotes by Laurie Perez
But I've learned that if you fake your death, don't come back. Not for your wife. Not for your girlfriend. Not for your kids. If you fake your death, don't do it at sea. Go for a hike. If you're interested in claiming a life insurance payout, don't get greedy. Keep the policy modest. Don't bother with a stand-in body and an elaborate funeral. Spend your time and money on obtaining quality authenticating documents. In your new life, commit to a disguise for your new identity and use your real first name. Don't google yourself and lead your hunters to your hideout. And for the love of God, don't drive if you're supposed to be dead. Ditch the car. ~ Elizabeth Greenwood
Love For Humanity quotes by Elizabeth Greenwood
The love for money is only one among many. ~ Alfred Marshall
Love For Humanity quotes by Alfred Marshall
I never really wanted to have a Guru, I was more interested in Buddhist philosophy and meditation, and had a psychological background in college, but he had so much love. To be with him, there was nowhere else to be and nothing else to do. Nothing he taught, philosophy or meditation, are the things I went to India to look for, or was interested in, but he sort of jumped into my heart and then pulled, he pried it open. ~ Surya Das
Love For Humanity quotes by Surya Das
I never wanted to be the one to break her heart, to disappoint her, to be late for dinner or to hog the bed. I never wanted to be the person to make her cry, or turn out to be a huge let-down. She meant to much to me for any of that. While I believed I could love her better than anyone in the world, I didn't really trust myself to be ... Well, good enough. ~ Jessica Thompson
Love For Humanity quotes by Jessica Thompson
His warm fingers slid along my cheek, then wrapped into my hair. He leaned down to rest his forehead against mine and closed his eyes. "The ribbon. I lied."
"What? We aren't engaged?" I asked, smiling shakily, curling my fingers into his shirt. "I have to show up to family dinners as your weird second cousin?"
He opened his eyes and looked into mine. "It doesn't mean family. Not like that. Not to me."
And his emotional connection opened cleanly, without the muddle he usually hid his true feelings within. And it was love, clear and without artifice, shining there.
I stared at him, breath caught in my chest. "You - "
His emotions were wrapping around me, free and clear and relieved. Like honey and copper - sweet, tangy, and charged - gentle, consuming, warm, passionate, and resolute. "No tricks. No games. No expectations. No lies - not to you, not ever again."
Stunned, I watched him pull away.
He looked at peace for the first time in weeks. Months. Then he looked down at our connection threads and I wondered what on earth he'd see.
He looked up, and a smile, brilliant and all-consuming split his face. He backed up slowly. "Interesting. See you soon, darling." He winked, turned, and flipped over the edge of the seal and through the vortex. ~ Anne Zoelle
Love For Humanity quotes by Anne Zoelle
For the lady's husband to become actively jealous was considered both doltish and dishonorable, a breach of the spirit of courtesy. Yet the record suggests that this was a fairly common occurrence and one of the occupational hazards of being a troubadour. The most famous crime passionnel of the epoch was the murder of Guilhem de Cabestanh, a troubadour knight whose love for the Lady Seremonda aroused the jealousy of her husband, Raimon de Castel-Roussillon. The story goes that Raimon killed Guilhem while he was out hunting, removed the heart from the body, and had it served to his wife for dinner, cooked and seasoned with pepper. Then comes the great confrontation:
"And when the lady had eaten of it, RAimon de Castel-Roussillon said unto her: "Know you of what you have eaten?' And she said, 'I know not, save that the taste thereof is good and savoury.' Then he said to her that that she had eaten of was in very truth the head of SIr Guilhem of Cabestanh, and caused the head to be brought before her, that she might the more readily believe it. And when the lady had seen and heard this, she straightway fell into a swoon, and when she was recovered of it, she spake and said: "Of a truth, my Lord, such good meat have you given me that never more will I eat of other."
THen he, hearing this, ran upon her with his sword and would have struck at her head, but the lady ran to a balcony, and cast herself down, and so died."
...the story is probably apocryphal… grisly deta ~ Horizon Magazine, Summer 1970
Love For Humanity quotes by Horizon Magazine, Summer 1970
Her hands crept around his neck, tangling in his hair to keep him closer, even though she knew that beautiful boys with expiration dates couldn't be held, only borrowed for a time. ~ Martina Boone
Love For Humanity quotes by Martina Boone
I love you, Guy, and I think I shall go on loving you, but I'm not in love. I've had that and it was a torment, a humiliation and a warning. So now I'm settling for a quiet life with someone I respect and am very fond of and want to spend my life with. ~ P.D. James
Love For Humanity quotes by P.D. James
As much as love is the source of power for those who are centred in their hearts, as much fear is the source of illusionary power for those who insist on being led by their heads alone. ~ Raphael Zernoff
Love For Humanity quotes by Raphael Zernoff
If your theological convictions are not producing a deeper love for others, then it's time to rethink some stuff. ~ Tullian Tchividjian
Love For Humanity quotes by Tullian Tchividjian
Man is the worst product ever manufactured by god. Don't believe my words, Remember he sacrificed himself for our sins. ~ Srinivas Shenoy
Love For Humanity quotes by Srinivas Shenoy
People should understand that compassionate love defines trustworthiness, attachment, and empathy when they live and interact with their romantic partners. However, they should make a commitment not to betray, deprive or stay distant with their life partner if they want to keep the relationship last for a lifetime. ~ Saaif Alam
Love For Humanity quotes by Saaif Alam
Humanity stands ... before a great problem of finding new raw materials and new sources of energy that shall never become exhausted. In the meantime we must not waste what we have, but must leave as much as possible for coming generations. ~ Svante Arrhenius
Love For Humanity quotes by Svante Arrhenius
I have a theory," she said. I nodded at her to continue and she said, "There's this fireplace downstairs. I think I went down there for some reason. To hide, maybe. I thought it was all my fault my mother died. And I hit my head on the marble. My brain bled. I died."

She watched me.

"Right," I said. "I don't think that's possible."

"Why don't you think it's possible?" she asked. "Because everyone can see me?"

"It's not that. It's just that it seems to me that the dead only return for love or for revenge. Who did you come back for?"

Neither of us smiled. I felt light-headed I couldn't believe that we were discussing this.

"Love or revenge," she sighed. "Neither."

"Miranda," I said, "You're not dead. Okay?"

"Ore," she said. "I'm not alive. ~ Helen Oyeyemi
Love For Humanity quotes by Helen Oyeyemi
I want to be loved, honestly and truly loved, for who I am. And I want to love a woman with all my heart for all my life. I want to ache for her mind, for her body, for her companionship. ~ Kerrelyn Sparks
Love For Humanity quotes by Kerrelyn Sparks
I don't make movies about issues. This is my same litmus test for all the movies I love: Is it a great character on a great emotional quest with a great emotional need? Do they overcome great emotional obstacles? Is it a fantastic story? I didn't set out to be a political activist. I'm just a human being who's moved by certain things, and if certain things break my heart, I set out to fix them. ~ Kimberly Peirce
Love For Humanity quotes by Kimberly Peirce
I love doing action and stuff; the problem is usually action movies are not that interesting. Also as I get older I feel like there's less opportunities for me. ~ Willem Dafoe
Love For Humanity quotes by Willem Dafoe
I'm sorry. I don't mean to be so emotional. It's just that it's been a very trying few weeks. My feelings are all a bit too close to the surface and I can't seem to manage them properly."
She was collected against his warm body, his hard muscles surrounding her, his voice weaving through her hair. "Evie, love, don't apologize for being emotional. You've been through hell. And only a heartless brute like me could truly appreciate the courage it takes to be honest about your feelings. ~ Lisa Kleypas
Love For Humanity quotes by Lisa Kleypas
Malachi sighed as he gazed at me. Even from that distance, the heat of his expression blew several circuits in my mind. "Because of the way she looked at me. She should have looked at me with fear. I did some pretty scary things. Most people would agree I am a scary person."

I stared at him, amazed as he echoed my own words so flawlessly.

"But that's not how she looked at me. She looked at me as if she saw something else inside me - something wonderful, something worth knowing - and she was the only person who could make it come out. She taught me things. She gave me things. Amazing things. A vision of myself - different from what I had been, better, but still me. I don't think she really recognized how she was bringing me to life. It came so naturally to her."

"I don't know if I did the same for her," he said quietly. "Since we're here right now, my guess would be that I didn't. But it doesn't matter. It doesn't change how I feel. I love her, and I would do anything for her. ~ Sarah Fine
