According to Jains the soul in pure form has infiniteness in terms of its knowledge and power. These faculties are obstructed for its exhibition due to Karmic bondage. As the soul progresses in its morality and spirituality it gets certain powers which may look miraculous. ~ Virchand Gandhi
Karmic Bondage quotes by Virchand Gandhi
When your identity switch from the personal identity to the eternal self, no fear of death or karmic bondage arise in you. ~ Roshan Sharma
Karmic Bondage quotes by Roshan Sharma
If the 'effect' is experienced, [karmic] bondage is created. If one experiences the 'effects' alone by himself, the [karmic] bondage will not be sticky. If he involves another person in it, the karmic bondage will be sticky. ~ Dada Bhagwan
Karmic Bondage quotes by Dada Bhagwan
Gnan' [True Knowledge, Knowledge of one's own self], is freedom itself. It keeps one in Moksha [liberated state] and prevents [karmic] bondage. ~ Dada Bhagwan
Karmic Bondage quotes by Dada Bhagwan
Whatever one does without the right belief (samkit - Self-realization) will lead to karmic bondage. Even when he gives to charity or shows kindness; it is all karma bondage. ~ Dada Bhagwan
Karmic Bondage quotes by Dada Bhagwan
Whatever our destiny is, whatever our Karma is, if we simply accept the mercy of Guru, "Guru Kripa", it can completely liberate us from all of our previous Karmic bondage. ~ Radhanath Swami
Karmic Bondage quotes by Radhanath Swami
In your life never become an agent of Negativity; Unknowingly if you act negative to positive pursuits ... you unnecessarily accumulate Karmic bondage ... Then why act negative ? ~ Dinesh Kumar
Karmic Bondage quotes by Dinesh Kumar
No one really knows human nature, men as well as women, who has not lived in the bondage of marriage, that is to say, the enforced study of a fellow creature. ~ Carol Tavris
Karmic Bondage quotes by Carol Tavris
Christianity ... made, for nearly 1,500 years, persecution, religious wars, massacres, theological feuds and bloodshed, heresy huntings and heretic burnings, prisons, dungeons, anathemas, curses, opposition to science, hatred of liberty, spiritual bondage, the life without love or laughter ... ~ M. M. Mangasarian
Karmic Bondage quotes by M. M. Mangasarian
To someone who is sleeping, it doesn't matter whether he's in a prison or in a palace. One who is asleep doesn't even feel the bondage. ~ Sri Sri Ravishankar
Karmic Bondage quotes by Sri Sri Ravishankar
BDSM stands for Bondage and Discipline, Dominance and Submission, and Sadism and Masochism. Yeah, it should really be BDDSSM, but BDSM looks less like a cat sitting on a keyboard, so they went with that. ~ Page Turner
Karmic Bondage quotes by Page Turner
Money is like a sixth sense without which you cannot make a complete use of the other five. ~ W. Somerset Maugham
Karmic Bondage quotes by W. Somerset Maugham
There are, on the other hand, very great men, very holy men, very pure men in every way, whose knowledge is wide and vast and deep, whose spiritual stature is great; but when they reach Buddhahood, instead of feeling the call of almighty love to return and help those who have gone less far, they go ahead into the supernal light - pass onwards and enter the unspeakable bliss of nirvana - and leave mankind behind. Such are the Pratyeka Buddhas. Though exalted, nevertheless they do not rank in unutterable sublimity with the Buddhas of Compassion.

The Pratyeka Buddha, he who achieves Buddhahood for himself, does not do it selfishly, however; does not do it merely in order to gratify self, and he does no harm to others; if he did he could never reach even his solitary Buddhahood. But he does it and achieves nirvana automatically, so to speak, following the lofty impulses of his being. Nevertheless he leaves the world behind enslaved in the chains of matter and forgotten by him.

The Pratyeka Buddha concentrates on the one thing - self-advancement for spiritual ends. It is a noble path in a way, but although it is a more rapid path, nevertheless being essentially a selfish path, the karmic records will show deeper lines ultimately to be wiped out than will those of the other striver after the spiritual life who follows the path of complete self-renunciation, and who even gives up all hope of self-advancement. The latter is of course by far the nobler path ~ G. De Purucker
Karmic Bondage quotes by G. De Purucker
Jesus has paid the price to save and to set you free from the bondage of sin. All that you have to do is believe. It doesn't take an immense degree of knowledge to believe. It doesn't take a certificate of prestigious honor in the world of higher education to be accepted into the royal family of God. You just have to believe. ~ Calvin W. Allison
Karmic Bondage quotes by Calvin W. Allison
When we cross the gates of death, our karma is all we take with us. Everything else that we enjoyed in this life we leave behind ... Our karma is the only thing that will count in determining our rebirth, for our next life is nothing but the effects of our karmic tendencies that materialize in our perception. ~ Tulku Thondup
Karmic Bondage quotes by Tulku Thondup
I had to learn that there is more to the human being than material comfort, more than success, more even than national spirit or patriotism. That in any being worthy of being human there is also a demand for justice, for liberty, and that justice needs the evidence of all our lives, liberty is one and indivisible and collective, and no one can talk of justice solely for expediency's sake, nor of liberty while human beings, anywhere else on earth, are still in bondage. ~ Han Suyin
Karmic Bondage quotes by Han Suyin
The gospel of Jesus Christ solves the innate problem we have of "glory greed." We are, every one of us from birth, incompetent thieves of the glory that belongs only to God. We know in our insidest insides that we fall short of his glory, and so we are constantly clawing and scratching to make up that difference in some way. This is how all sin is fundamentally idolatry and how all accumulations of worldly treasures - be they material goods or religious merit - are fundamentally acts of self-worship. Then in the gospel of Christ, God forgives our petty theft, sets us free from the bondage of our idols, and unites us Spiritually, irrevocably, and satisfyingly to himself. Now the glory we tried to steal is shared with us freely, and it is real glory this time, not these pathetic knockoffs we think will do the trick. ~ Jared C. Wilson
Karmic Bondage quotes by Jared C. Wilson
The day dawns; the morning star is bright upon the horizon! The iron gate of our prison stands half open. One gallant rush from the North will fling it wide open, while four millions of our brothers and sisters shall march out into liberty. The chance is now given you to end in a day the bondage of centuries, and to rise in one bound from social degradation to the place of common equality with all other varieties of men. ~ Frederick Douglass
Karmic Bondage quotes by Frederick Douglass
And this love of definite conception, this clearness of vision, this artistic sense of limit, is the characteristic of all great work and poetry; of the vision of Homer as of the vision of Dante, of Keats and William Morris as of Chaucer and Theocritus. It lies at the base of all noble, realistic and romantic work as opposed to the colourless and empty abstractions of our own eighteenth-century poets and of the classical dramatists of France, or of the vague spiritualities of the German sentimental school: opposed, too, to that spirit of transcendentalism which also was root and flower itself of the great Revolution, underlying the impassioned contemplation of Wordsworth and giving wings and fire to the eagle- like flight of Shelley, and which in the sphere of philosophy, though displaced by the materialism and positiveness of our day, bequeathed two great schools of thought, the school of Newman to Oxford, the school of Emerson to America. Yet is this spirit of transcendentalism alien to the spirit of art. For the artist can accept no sphere of life in exchange for life itself. For him there is no escape from the bondage of the earth: there is not even the desire of escape. He is indeed the only true realist: symbolism, which is the essence of the transcendental spirit, is alien to him. The metaphysical mind of Asia will create for itself the monstrous, many-breasted idol of Ephesus, but to the Greek, pure artist, that work is most instinct with spiritual life which conforms ~ Oscar Wilde
Karmic Bondage quotes by Oscar Wilde
The one, who does not have the 'poison' of insistence, will become free from all entanglements (karmic). ~ Dada Bhagwan
Karmic Bondage quotes by Dada Bhagwan
Romans says the creation was 'subjected to frustration, in hope that it will be liberated from its bondage to decay.' In hope! There is hope for the earth. As Christians, we can and should have hope for the earth, as well as our hope of heaven. ~ Howard A. Snyder
Karmic Bondage quotes by Howard A. Snyder
It is the sum of small things successfully done that lifts a life out of bondage to the humdrum. ~ Dorothea Brande
Karmic Bondage quotes by Dorothea Brande
My cousin fell in love with a dom, so I checked into it to see if I needed to kill him before they got married. ~ Cherise Sinclair
Karmic Bondage quotes by Cherise Sinclair
Advanced meditators are not even desirous of liberation anymore - that is just another attachment. There is no liberation. There is no bondage. These are just ideas of the mind. ~ Frederick Lenz
Karmic Bondage quotes by Frederick Lenz
WHO'S GOT A TAMPON? I JUST GOT MY PERIOD, I will announce loudly to nobody in particular in a women's bathroom in a San Francisco restaurant, or to a co-ed dressing room of a music festival in Prague, or to the unsuspecting gatherers in a kitchen at a party in Sydney, Munich, or Cincinnati. Invariably, across the world, I have seen and heard the rustling of female hands through backpacks and purses, until the triumphant moment when a stranger fishes one out with a kind smile. No money is ever exchanged. The unspoken universal understanding is: Today, it is my turn to take the tampon. Tomorrow, it shall be yours. There is a constant, karmic tampon circle. It also exists, I've found, with Kleenex, cigarettes, and ballpoint pens. ~ Amanda Palmer
Karmic Bondage quotes by Amanda Palmer
Far better was our homely diet, eaten in peace and liberty, than the luxurious dainties, the love of which hath delivered us as bondsmen to the foreign conqueror! ~ Walter Scott
Karmic Bondage quotes by Walter Scott
Tutankhamun Speaks:
Inside my mask of gold, lapis,
turquoise and amber,
my naked body breaks its bondage
and soars like an eagle towards
the golden Sun of rejuvenation ~ Ramon Ravenswood
Karmic Bondage quotes by Ramon Ravenswood
In the history of the intelligence, with the exception of Marx, Nietzsche's adventure has no equivalent; we shall never finish making reparation for the injustice done to him. Of course history records other philosophies that have been misconstrued and betrayed. But up to the time of Nietzsche and National
Socialism, it was quite without parallel that a process of thought - brilliantly illuminated by the nobility and by the sufferings of an exceptional mind - should have been demonstrated to the eyes of the world by a parade of lies and by the hideous accumulation of corpses in concentration camps. The doctrine of the superman led to the methodical creation of sub-men - a fact that doubtless should be denounced, but
which also demands interpretation. If the final result of the great movement of rebellion in the nineteenth
and twentieth centuries was to be this ruthless bondage, then surely rebellion should be rejected and
Nietzsche's desperate cry to his contemporaries taken up: "My conscience and yours are no longer the
same conscience. ~ Albert Camus
Karmic Bondage quotes by Albert Camus
Our cage
We make a quire, as doth the prison'd bird,
And sing our bondage freely. ~ William Shakespeare
Karmic Bondage quotes by William Shakespeare
In Hebrew, the word Sabbath means "rest." The purpose of the Sabbath dates back to the Creation of the world, when after six days of labor the Lord rested from the work of creation. When He later revealed the Ten Commandments to Moses, God commanded that we "remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy." Later, the Sabbath was observed as a reminder of the deliverance of Israel from their bondage in Egypt. Perhaps most important, the Sabbath was given as a perpetual covenant, a constant reminder that the Lord may sanctify His people.
In addition, we now partake of the sacrament on the Sabbath day in remembrance of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Again, we covenant that we are willing to take upon us His holy name. ~ Russell M. Nelson
Karmic Bondage quotes by Russell M. Nelson
We have nothing to lose by trusting the infinite power of the Self, except the bondage of our own ignorance. ~ Mata Amritanandamayi
Karmic Bondage quotes by Mata Amritanandamayi
It is in no way, shape or form your cosmic duty or responsibility to take away the pain of other people. This is because by absorbing the pain of others, you are depriving them of a vital element of their spiritual evolution and karmic responsibility. ~ Mateo Sol
Karmic Bondage quotes by Mateo Sol
The gospel brings tidings, glad tidings indeed,
To mourners in Zion, who want to be freed,
From sin and Satan, and Mount Sinai's flame,
Good news of salvation, through Jesus the Lamb.

What sweet invitations, the gospel contains,
To men heavy laden, with bondage and chains;
It welcomes the weary, to come and be blessed,
With ease from their burdens, in Jesus to rest.

For every poor mourner, who thirsts for the Lord,
A fountain is opened, in Jesus the Word;
Their poor parched conscience, to cool and to wash,
From guilt and pollution, from dead works and dross.

A robe is provided, their shame now to hide,
In which none are clothed, but Jesus' bride;
Though it be costly, yet is the robe free,
And all Zion's mourners, shall decked with it be. ~ William Gadsby
Karmic Bondage quotes by William Gadsby
Millions of our fellow human beings continue to live as contemporary slaves, victims of abominable practices like human trafficking, forced labour and sexual exploitation. Countless children are forced to become soldiers, work in sweat shops or are sold by desperate families. Women are brutalized and traded like commodities. Entire households and villages labour under debt bondage. ~ Ban Ki-moon
Karmic Bondage quotes by Ban Ki-moon
KARMA
Karma happening out of love, feeling and wisdom does not result in bondage, instead it reaps the supreme fruits of Self Realisation. ~ Sirshree
Karmic Bondage quotes by Sirshree
Beyond the mask she is witness to his glorious soul. Exposed to the elements, she warms her skin in his light and essence of being. ~ Truth Devour
Karmic Bondage quotes by Truth Devour
I had an additional burden: my higher education. That counts for a great deal. When that higher education was put to the test, it didn't work. I began to understand the irrelevancy of it, to recoil in disappointment from it. Then one day I saw the comedy of it. Herzog says, 'what do you propose to do, now that your wife has taken a lover - pull Spinoza from the shelves and look into what he says about adultery, about human bondage?' You discover, in other words, the inapplicability of your higher learning, the absurdity of the culture it cost you so much to acquire. True devotion to Spinoza et al. would have left you no time for neurotic attachments and bad marriages. That would have been a way out for you. ~ Saul Bellow
Karmic Bondage quotes by Saul Bellow
To be a conscientious human is real karma - it is real spirituality - it is real religion. ~ Abhijit Naskar
Karmic Bondage quotes by Abhijit Naskar
Safety. As Elizabeth Cady Stanton wrote, When the slave leaves bondage, his first act is to name himself. ~ Gloria Steinem
Karmic Bondage quotes by Gloria Steinem
The thought came over me: am I to spend all the best part of my life in this wretched bondage, forcibly suppressing my rage at the idleness, the apathy and the hyperbolical & most asinine stupidity of those fat-headed oafs, and on compulsion assuming an air of kindness, patience & assiduity? Must I from day to day sit chained to this chair, prisoned with in these four bare walls, while these glorious summer suns are burning in heaven & the year is revolving in its richest glow & declaring at the close of every summer day [that] the time I am losing will never come again? ~ Claire Harman
Karmic Bondage quotes by Claire Harman
We have to hear again and again who God is for us and what God has done on our behalf. We must free each other from bondage through our confession and forgiveness. ~ Nadia Bolz-Weber
