Being a sugar baby was like being a groupie, but for any guy who was rich. ~ Teresa Lo
Sugar Mama quotes by Teresa Lo
She doesn't need your money. Even a penniless fool like you can make her fall in love with you. That's just miracle. ~ Vann Chow
Sugar Mama quotes by Vann Chow
I didn't answer right away; I was too busy savoring the moment. The delicious night air, the music of mama cows in a distant pasture, the trillions of stars overhead, the feeling of his fingers entwined in mine. The night couldn't have gone any more perfectly. I'm not sure anything, even going home with him, could possibly make it any better.
I started to open my mouth, but Marlboro Man beat me to it. Standing up and lifting me off the tailgate of his pickup, he carried me, Rhett Butler-style, toward the passenger door. Setting me down and opening my door, he said, "On second thought…I think I'd better take you home." I smiled, convinced he must have read my mind.
Whether he had or not, the fact was that instantly and noticeably the whole vibe between us had changed. Before I'd dumped my Chicago apartment and told him my plans to stay, the passion between us had sometimes felt urgent, rushed, almost as if some imaginary force was compelling us to get it all out right here, right now, because before too long we wouldn't have the chance. There'd been a quiet desperation in our romance up until that point, feelings of excitement and lust mixed with an uncomfortable hint of doom and dread. But now that my move had all but been eliminated from the equation, the doom and dread had been replaced with a beautiful sense of comfort. In the blink of an eye, Marlboro Man and I, while madly and insanely in love, were no longer in any hurry.
"Yeah," I said, nodding my head. ~ Ree Drummond
Sugar Mama quotes by Ree Drummond
It was the world of Southern, rural, black growing up, of folks sitting on porches day and night, of folks calling your mama, 'cause you walked by and didn't speak, and of the switch waiting when you got home so that you could be taught some manners. It was a world of single black older women schoolteachers, dedicated, tough; they had taught your mama, her sisters, and her friends. They knew your people in ways that you never would and shared their insight, keeping us in touch with generations. It was a world where we had a history. ~ Bell Hooks
Sugar Mama quotes by Bell Hooks
In the process of being metabolized, sugar robs your body of valuable nutrients ... Sugar also inhibits your liver's production of enzymes needed in the detoxification process. ~ Ann Louise Gittleman
Sugar Mama quotes by Ann Louise Gittleman
And so when I couldn't stand it no longer, I lit out. I got into my old rags and my sugar-hogshead again, and was free and satisfied. ~ Mark Twain
Sugar Mama quotes by Mark Twain
They had studied law, information technology and art history as part of their beauty treatment, they had let Norwegian taxpayers finance years at university just so that they could end up as overqualified, stay-at-home playthings and sit here exchanging confidences about how to keep their sugar daddies suitably happy, suitably jealous and suitably on their toes. ~ Jo Nesbo
Sugar Mama quotes by Jo Nesbo
My own journey in becoming a poet began with memory - with the need to record and hold on to what was being lost. One of my earliest poems, 'Give and Take,' was about my Aunt Sugar, how I was losing her to her memory loss. ~ Natasha Trethewey
Sugar Mama quotes by Natasha Trethewey
Her name was Rebecca. Or at least that's what her nametag said. She was making my coffee at Starbucks as I admired how her green Starbucks apron matched her bright green eyes. She had hair the color of coffee with a hint of cream in it. I was trying to act casual and not make it seem like I came in here only to see her. The truth is, I hate coffee. That's not entirely true. I do like a hint of coffee in my cup of sugar. ~ Jarod Kintz
Sugar Mama quotes by Jarod Kintz
As long as I can hear the sweet melody of your words,
I need not;
The angel's secret, to be whispered in my ears

As long as I can lace your silky fingers round my own,
I need not;
Pretty diamonds, nor big cash nor gold

As long as I can watch the handsome sunshine of your face,
I need not;
Open skies, nor snowfall, nor the rain

As long as I can gaze into the emeralds of your eyes,
I need not;
New colors, new wings or paradise

As long as I can feel the tender tickle of your breath,
I need not;
The drifting wind, nor its call, nor caress

As long as I can feel your soft lips upon mine,
I need not;
Melted sugar, nor the most expensive of wines

As long as I can feel your warm body close to me
I need not;
A blanket, nor a bonfire's luxury

As long as I can see you every morning I wake,
I need not;
A mirror, nor a cloud, nor shade

As long as I can keep you in every petal of memories
I need not:
Dreams, nor desires, nor fantasies

And as long as I can hold you in every moment that I breathe,
I need not;
Oxygen, nor blood, nor heartbeats. ~ Sanober Khan
Sugar Mama quotes by Sanober Khan
Boxing is individual, although there's a team concept because you need a great corner, you need a great trainer, you need a great prep man, you need all of these things, but it's more of a Mano a Mano; it's more you versus me. I miss that time in training camp and Dad and Mom cooking meals. It was one big family. ~ Sugar Ray Leonard
Sugar Mama quotes by Sugar Ray Leonard
My name is Jasmine Lewis, and this is my story. It's a cautionary tale about money, sex, and power, but I guess those words are redundant.

Money is always about sex and power.

And sex is always about power.

And why have power if you can't have sex and money?

But anyway, this is a story about money, sex, and power. This is the story of The Sugar Baby Club. ~ Teresa Lo
Sugar Mama quotes by Teresa Lo
Life's like brown sugar sprinkled on shit. Sure it tastes great, if you don't mind the smell. ~ Jarod Kintz
Sugar Mama quotes by Jarod Kintz
The Greatest Generation got to save old tires, dig a Victory Garden and forgo sugar. The Richest Generation is being asked to shop. ~ Margaret Carlson
Sugar Mama quotes by Margaret Carlson
Most people have a regulator between their mind and mouth that modulates their brutish sentiments and spikiest impulses. Not Jobs. He made a point of being brutally honest. My job is to say when something sucks rather than sugar coat it, : he said. This made him charismatic and inspiring, yet also,, to use the technical term, an asshole at times. ~ Walter Isaacson
Sugar Mama quotes by Walter Isaacson
My heart broke all over again. I wanted my life back, my mama, but I knew I would never have that. The child I had been was gone with the child she had been. We were new people, and we didn't know each other anymore. I shook my head desperately. ~ Dorothy Allison
Sugar Mama quotes by Dorothy Allison
I've got a gut feeling in my stomach ... ~ Alan Sugar
Sugar Mama quotes by Alan Sugar
You may be my new princess. But your mama is my queen. ~ Rachel Van Dyken
Sugar Mama quotes by Rachel Van Dyken
Don't go home with that magic man! I wanted to shake my Walkman, warn the Heart girls to run away. Don't trust him! He might be magic, but he's not very nice! He says he just wants to get high awhile, but he'll get you so high you can't come back down. He'll make you stay inside so long, it hurts your eyes to go out, so you'll spend whole years wasting away in his mansion. You'll lose your sense of time. You'll lose your appetite. When your mama cries on the phone, you won't understand a word she's saying. You'll just tell her, "Try to understand." And Mrs. Wilson isn't falling for that shit. Ann! Nance! Get the hell out of there. One smile from that magic man and you're done. You'll be so fucking magic, you won't be real anymore. He'll even set your lipgloss on fire. ~ Rob Sheffield
Sugar Mama quotes by Rob Sheffield
She finally pushed and moved through the small doorway into the shadow of the narrow street beyond as she heard one last thing from her dying mama.
'I love you, Elleth.'
'Love you too, mamma. ~ J.P. Ashman
Sugar Mama quotes by J.P. Ashman
One insidious practice which sugar-coats the dose of Federal intrusion is the division of expense ... ~ Calvin Coolidge
Sugar Mama quotes by Calvin Coolidge
If a Snickers chocolate bar has 50% sugar, wouldn't it be safe to eat the other half? ~ Wakas Mir
Sugar Mama quotes by Wakas Mir
Rachael Ray was in the middle of making small lemon bars, which reminded me almost immediately of a new recipe for lemon drop cookies I'd been wanting to try and maybe serve at an upcoming children's birthday party I had scheduled.
Like I say, cooking can be like therapy for me when I'm real upset, and no sooner had I grabbed a bag of lemon drop candy in the cabinet, wrapped the nuggets in a towel, and begun beating them to bits with a hammer than I calmed down and concentrated on making the batter just right. Butter, sugar, grated lemon rind, heavy cream, an egg, flour baking powder and salt, the crushed candy- the ingredients couldn't have been simpler. What I wondered about was whether the candy would melt during the baking, and I got my answer after the cookies had been in the oven about twelve minutes, and I finally bit into a cooled one, and noticed a slight crunch that was one of the most wonderful sensations I'd ever experienced. Yeah, the cookies were out of this world, and I knew the kids would love 'em, but since I personally like most of my cookies to be kinda chewy, I did decide then and there that the next time I baked a batch, I'd test the texture after only ten minutes of baking- or till just the edges of the cookies browned. I also decided these cookies could give Miss Rachael Ray's lemon bars a good run for their money, and that they should have me on that program doing something a little different. I mean, anybody can make ordinary lemon bars. ~ James Villas
Sugar Mama quotes by James Villas
He gave you to me," she said, so low I could hardly hear her. "Now I have to give you back to him, Mama. ~ Diana Gabaldon
Sugar Mama quotes by Diana Gabaldon
your girls are made by sugar and spice my girls are made by vodka and ice ~ Me
Sugar Mama quotes by Me
(W)e have spent many ages attempting to divine the principles that move our world. It goes without saying that the road ahead of us is still long, and there is more that we do not know than we do. Were you to compare our knowledge now to a spoonful of sugar, that which we do not know would be a field of sugar cane stretching as far as the eye can see... To obtain knowledge from that field, we must cut it and refine it. We must learn the most effective ways of harvesting and the methods of removing impurities. All this we must obtain as well as simply the knowledge we seek. That is what it means to study and learn. ~ Miyuki Miyabe
Sugar Mama quotes by Miyuki Miyabe
I used to watch the stallions leaping the mares."
"You what!" Hew almost choked.
"Well, how else is a girl with no mother supposed to get any education? Although I doubt Mama would have told me very much. So there's really no reason to be timid, Hew. I already know all about the mating process. And to the best of my knowledge, the stallions never 'ignored it until it went away. ~ Victoria Vane
Sugar Mama quotes by Victoria Vane
Vegetable seed catalogs have replaced the penny candy store. The fireballs, the root-beer barrels, and the licorice whips aren't sold at the corner anymore. Now the sweets are sold by seed companies instead. There's "candystick" and "sweet slice" and "sugar rock" but these aren't types of candy, they are varieties of sweet corn, cucumber and musk melon. ~ Roger B. Swain
Sugar Mama quotes by Roger B. Swain
Michelle Obama, you're one hot mama. ~ Tyra Banks
Sugar Mama quotes by Tyra Banks
At least once a week, Dinsy was amused by the indignant sputtering of someone who had just spooned dill weed, not sugar, into a cup of Earl Grey tea. ~ Ellen Klages
Sugar Mama quotes by Ellen Klages
The danger of speaking about life exclusively in terms of problem and solution is that we are thus tempted to overlook the limitations of this detective game and the very existence of the initial arbitrary rules that makes the playing of it possible. The rule is to exclude from the terms of the problem everything that the solution cannot solve. It is diverting and useful to know that, for the chemist, a man is made up of a few pennyworth of salt, sugar, iron, and what not, together with an intolerable deal of water. But we must not assert that 'man is, in fact, nothing but' these things, or suppose that the solution of the pennyworths in the water will produce a complete and final solution of man. . . .

It was said by Kronecker, the mathematician: 'God made the integers; all else is the work of man.' Man can table the integers and arrange them into problems that he can solve in the terms in which they are set. But before the inscrutable mystery of the integers themselves he is helpless, unless he calls upon that tri-unity in himself that is made in the image of God, and can include and create the integers. ~ Dorothy L. Sayers
Sugar Mama quotes by Dorothy L. Sayers
When alone in a dark forest waiting for an audience with an evil god, the most prudent course of action is to be quiet and wait. 'Prudent' wasn't one of my favourite words.
"Hello? I've come to borrow a cup of sugar. Anybody? Perhaps there is an old woman with a house made of candy who could help me?"
"Marrying for love isn't wise."
The voice came from somewhere to the left. Melodious, but not soft, definitely female and charged with a promise of hidden power. Something told me that hearing her scream would end very badly for me.
I stopped and pivoted toward the voice.
"Marry for safety. Marry for power. But only fools marry for love."
When a strange voice talks to you in the black woods, only idiots answer.
I was that idiot. "Thank you, counsellor. How much do I owe you for this session? ~ Ilona Andrews
Sugar Mama quotes by Ilona Andrews

[The passage of the Sugar Act] set people a thinking, in six months, more than they had done in their whole lives before. ~ James Otis
Sugar Mama quotes by James Otis
When I was 15 or 16 and I started climbing up the ladder of success in amateur boxing, a reporter asked me, "What do you want to be?" I think he was expecting me to say, "A champion." I said, "I want to be special." I don't know why I said that, but I didn't just want to be a fighter. I wanted to have an impact with people, particularly kids. ~ Sugar Ray Leonard
