In the words of Madame Leota in the film The Haunted Mansion, 'You try, you fail, you try, you fail, but the only true failure is when you stop trying ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
That thought had balled itself up and turned itself into a stone which has resided inside his heart. ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
A life lived in fear is a life half lived. ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
We welcome that kind of shrapnel so that when it twinges in our souls we're filled with that glowing feeling that comfort us in our darkest hours and whispers from somewhere inside that our own happiness isn't impossible nor is it entirely lost. ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
Everyone is on a journey at any given moment in their lives ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
His gaze was fixed on her and he noticed she had a twinkle. It was right there in her eyes. It wasn't a trick of the light. It was actually, physically there. Maybe it was the slight crunch of her nose when she smiled at him, which made the corners of her eyes crease that caused it, or maybe it was the way her eyebrows framed her eyes, but no matter what it was, when he saw that twinkle all he heared in his head was his heart laughing. ~ Vincent Winters ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
It's the future, love, it's always changing. ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
Embrace the wrongness because it'll make the eventual rightness even sweeter ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
Ask me something that will make me think. Something I'll have to wonder whether I should tell you the answer to or not. ~ Evie Snow ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
Great adventures can start small.
Even as small as a sweet.
Help yourself to an adventure. ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
Happiness is always there. You just have to choose to see it. There's no point dwelling in the dark and ignoring the light of the stars. ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
People are people. Ever changing, complicated and wonderfully layered. ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
Why should I shatter your wonderful fantasy with my boring reality? ~ Evie Snow ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
As she placed her stil-beating heart in the hole she'd dug, there on it's surface another golden fleck swirled into existence. It was then that she knew she was doing the right thing. Keeping her own heart when she'd already decided who it belonged to felt wrong, as if she was holding stolen possessions. No. Her heart was no longer hers, couldn't be Vincent's, and sadly, was never to be Jim's. ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
It's the people who have no idea what it's like to truly be different who do scream about it. If they really knew what it was like, to feel so isolated because of that difference, they wouldn't wish it upon themselves. ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
When you eat a chocolate bar, sure, the wrapper might be pretty, full of bold colours and fancy details ... but ultimately, what do you care about? The wrapper? Or what's inside the wrapper?
The chocolate. I care about the chocolate inside the wrapper.
Exactly! For me, it's the same with people. I don't care about what's on the outside. I care about what's on the inside. Someone's mind. Their heart and soul. For me, it doesn't matter whether they're a man or a woman. That's only the wrapper they come in. What I really care about is the chocolate. It's called being pan-sexual. ~ Isla ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
I had as much influence over Loneliness as it had over me! I can see that now. No one can help how they feel so I was stuck with Loneliness. But I had a choice. I could let Loneliness consume me for the rest of my life, give in to it and let it control me like a puppet… or I could fight back. When it would whisper in my ear and tell me to lash out at those I loved, to push them away, I'd say no. When it tried to keep me lonely I would hold it at arm's length and… it would listen. ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
it only takes sparks to light a fire ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
As individuals they were stone, but together they were glass. ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
To the voices in our heads that tell us we aren't good enough: do be quiet. ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
Don't ditch your childhood dreams just because you dreamt them up as a child. ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
He was a giant who had caught a butterfly and knew he'd only kill it if he kept it but was so reluctant to let it go for its beauty made him something he wouldn't be without it: happy. ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
You'll be able to find the strength to love someone just that much again once you've recovered from the heartbreak ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
Theatres have a certain kind of magic. ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
Yes, that dream ultimately failed, but I learned so much. Mostly tiny things, but it only takes a spark to light a fire. All those tiny things accumulated to make me who I am. If none of it had happened, I could have lived a far worse lie than I did. That's why, despite all the heartbreak, the failure and the secrets, if I was given the chance to go back in time and change things, I wouldn't. Not even a second. ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
By the end of our lives, we're covered in battle scars and shrapnel. ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
I think about it all the time, about what makes everyone who they are, and if we went back in time and changed anything, whether or not it would make a difference. Would it make us better or worse, or would we just stay exactly the same because we were always destined to end up this way no matter what happened throughout our lives? ~ Evie Snow ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
You show me a girl who would be okay with a guy who treats her exactly like she's his girlfriend but won't actually call her his girlfriend? It's madness. It makes no sense. ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
The colours of her heart represented the deeds she'd done, both good and bad, but the faint smell of treacle told her that, overall, she had a sweet heart. ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
Twenty-eight isn't a special age for most. There are no special greeting cards for being a year closer to thirty. And yet twenty-eight had always been special to him because that was when he had met Evie. ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
What's the difference between look and see?
When someone looks at you, they only see what's on the surface and often miss a lot of the details. When someone sees you, they see who you are, what you're actually about. They see more than what's there in front of them. They're willing to find out more, at the very least. ~ Evie Snow ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
Don't set yourself on fire to keep others warm. ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
One of the things that strikes me most though is how some people don't realise they're self-harming. The phrase 'self-harm' brings up thoughts of 'cutting', but that's only a small portion of it. When you drink excessively to drown your sorrows to the point you throw up and can't see straight and/or, like a girl at my school, ended up being driven to hospital to have her stomach pumped, you've brought harm to yourself. If you take drugs to feel numb and it becomes an addiction that you can't break, you've self-harmed. When you starve yourself or binge eat to fit the latest fashions, you're pushing your body further than it can go.
We need to start treating ourselves how we deserve to be treated, even if you feel that no one else does. Prove to the world you ARE worth something by treating yourself with the utmost respect and hope that other people will follow your example. And even if they don't, at least one person in the world is treating you well: YOU. ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
No, I won't be hopeless. I am full of hope. I'm a HopeFUL. ~ Evie Snow ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
An unexplicable sense of happiness ~ Carrie Hope Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Hope Fletcher
It all seems so worthless. Such a waste of lives. We've spent hundreds of years since the Return buffering the Dark City and trying to maintain it - scraping out a life that will soon be wiped out.
And what of the rest of the world that's already fallen? Stars blinking away, their light slowly fading? Somewhere out there a star's just dying and we'll never know about it. Somewhere another's being born whose light we'll never see.
The Earth will spin, the stars will rearrange themselves around one another and the world will crawl with the dead who one day will drop into nothing ness: no humans left for them to scent, no flesh for them to crave. Everything-all of us-will simply cease to be. ~ Carrie Ryan
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Ryan
She [a mother] never outgrows the burden of love, and to the end she carries the weight of hope for those she bore. Oddly, very oddly, she is forever surprised and even faintly wronged that her sons and daughters are just people, for many mothers hope and half expect that their new-born child will make the world better, will somehow be a redeemer. Perhaps they are right, and they can believe that the rare quality they glimpsed in the child is active in the burdened adult. ~ Florida Scott-Maxwell
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Florida Scott-Maxwell
Samuel Johnson once said that remarrying (and he's not talking about marrying the same person here, just remarrying) is the "triumph of hope over experience." So for me, remarrying the same person is the triumph of nostalgia over judgment. ~ Carrie Fisher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Fisher
Albert died in an unfortunate accident sometime ago and was raised as a zombie by his amateur necromancer friend, Neil. Bubba was a new friend we had acquired in Vegas when helping him gain back the freedom he had previously gambled away. The fourth member of our group, a government agent and my girlfriend named Krystal, was out of town for work this week, thus I was conducting my first weekly scrabble tournament with just the three of us. Which leaves only me to be accounted for in the explanation. My name. which I hope you know by now. is Frederick Frankford Fletcher and I am a vampire, though still not the type that inspires swooning or terror. ~ Drew Hayes
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Drew Hayes
I believe in the writer's mission. He receives it from the word, which carries its suffering and its hope within it. He questions the words, which question him. He accompanies the words, which accompany him. The initiative is shared, as if spontaneous. ~ Edmond Jabes
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Edmond Jabes
I love the arrival of a new season - each one bringing with it its own emotion: spring is full of hope; summer is freedom; autumn is a colourful release, and winter brings an enchanting peace. It's hard to pick which one I enjoy the most - each time the new one arrives, I remember its beauty and forget the previous one whose qualities have started to dim. ~ Giovanna Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Giovanna Fletcher
How do you always know just what to say?" I ask.
His laugh rumbles through me. "Practice, I guess."
I pull back and give him a quizzical look.
"I spent three years imagining what I would say to you if you were mine," he says, tugging me close.
"I should hope I know what to say now that I've got you. ~ Tera Lynn Childs
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Tera Lynn Childs
I have been reading Stephen King since CARRIE and hope to read him for many years to come. ~ Dean Koontz
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Dean Koontz
Fear would never allow him anything so hopelessly silly as hope. Still, fear would keep him alive. It was the only sane emotion in an insane world. ~ Michael R. Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Michael R. Fletcher
how it can be that I have lost everything in my life but this journey. This hope that there is an end. ~ Carrie Ryan
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Ryan
We will always survive. There is always hope. ~ Carrie Ryan
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Ryan
Hope. It is the frailest of words. ~ Susan Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Susan Fletcher
Technology works best when it facilitates human hope, activism, engagement & intervention. ~ Mal Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Mal Fletcher
I would love to see more women making their mark in the music that I love so much ... There are so many more out there just waiting for their shot. I hope they get it! ~ Carrie Underwood
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Underwood
I would like this to be a new day. I would hope now that we can focus on doing the people's business. ~ Ernie Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Ernie Fletcher
I hope you're enjoying it, though, duck, and not wasting all your time and energy in a thankless job. You've got to make the most of life and not let these little opportunities pass you by. Before you know it you'll be old and wrinkly like me and wishing you'd done more. Just make sure you're happy. ~ Giovanna Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Giovanna Fletcher
With love comes responsibility and possibility, fear and hope, quests and suffering ~ Carrie Jones
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Jones
Someday you going to make some man very happy
I hope its going to be Ray ...
Your soldier? I nodded, a half smile in my face
You love him?
Yes ... Yes I do ... ~ Charles Sheehan-Miles
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Charles Sheehan-Miles
If I was playing Carrie, I might have done differently but I felt like as my character. I mean, I'm definitely bringing myself to the role but I wanted to pay homage. I hope I did. We'll see. ~ Judy Greer
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Judy Greer
Knowing that this is what it means to live. That this love, this need is what drives us to push and fight and build and grow. That as long as there's hope and love in this world, there will always be the living. ~ Carrie Ryan
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Ryan
I've heard fate talked of. It's not a word I use. I think we make our own choices. I think how we live our lives is our own doing, and we cannot fully hope on dreams and stars. But dreams and stars can guide us, perhaps. And the heart's voice is a strong one. Always is.
Your heart's voice is your true voice. It is easy to ignore it, for sometimes it says what we'd rather it did not - and it is so hard to risk the things we have. But what life are we living, if we don't live by our hearts? Not a true one. And the person living it is not the true you. ~ Susan Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Susan Fletcher
This had to be Finn Dalton's mother. It simply had to be. From the moment Nash had given Carrie what seemed like the impossible assignment of interviewing Finn, she'd looked for out-of-the-box ways to locate him. Her mother's mention of work on the Alaskan pipeline and that many of those employed came from Washington State had led to a breakthrough. At least she hoped so. The search led Carrie to the birth record for a Finnegan Paul Dalton, not in Alaska but in her own birth state of Washington. That record revealed his mother's name - Joan Finnegan Dalton - which then led to a divorce decree, along with a license for a second marriage several years later. Tax records indicated that Joan, whose married name was now Reese, continued to reside in Washington State. Her hope was that Joan Dalton Reese would be willing to help Carrie find Finn. ~ Debbie Macomber
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Debbie Macomber
Science is the refusal to believe on the basis of hope. ~ Carrie Snow
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Snow
To me, curiosity is married to optimism. And that's where a lot of my motivation comes from. A lot of my way out of depression and anxiety is that intersection between optimism and curiosity. Because it means taking a step forward with the hope that there will be discovery. ~ Carrie Brownstein
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Carrie Brownstein
Israel was not created in order to disappear - Israel will endure and flourish. It is the child of hope and the home of the brave. It can neither be broken by adversity nor demoralized by success. It carries the shield of democracy and it honors the sword of freedom. ~ John F. Kennedy
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by John F. Kennedy
What man who carries a heavenly soul in him, has not groaned to perceive, that unless he committed a sort of suicide as to the practical things of this world, he never can hope to regulate his earthly conduct by that same heavenly soul? ~ Herman Melville
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Herman Melville
Favorite food? Blues (speed). Miscellaneous likes? Birds. Professional ambition? To smash one hundred drum kits. Personal ambition? To stay young forever. There you have it, the world of Keith Moon effectively encapsulated in a few choice words. Straightforward hedonistic pleasures, cheerfully destructive tendencies, and an unattainable goal, except in the words that Townshend had just written and which Moon alone would live up/down to: 'Hope I die before I get old. ~ Tony Fletcher
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Tony Fletcher
With the loss of acute illnesses we have seen a loss of human potential and a dramatic increase in chronic 'incurable' diseases. If we want to return to health, we have to look at disease in a way that is different from the accepted medical models, because these models do not work. There has been no overall improvement in the mortality rates for most forms of cancer in the past 100 years, yet still people put their faith in drugs, surgery and radiation. Terminal patients are often offered 'new drugs' in the hope of prolonging life but are in fact being treated as little more than guinea pigs. All disease is curable, but the cure can only be found within the body. ~ Barbara Wren
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Barbara Wren
Politics was like those little wooden sliding-picture games for children: you had to move all of the pieces in the hope of finding a place where the whole picture slotted together. ~ Terry Pratchett
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Terry Pratchett
To whom do we tell what happened on the
Earth, for whom do we place everywhere huge
Mirrors in the hope that they will be filled up
And will stay so? ~ Czeslaw Milosz
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Czeslaw Milosz
Adversity is a better educator than the best teacher. ~ Debasish Mridha
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Debasish Mridha
What can a meaning outside my condition mean to me? I can understand only in human terms. What I touch, what resists me
that is what I understand. And these two certainties
my appetite for the absolute and for unity and the impossibility of reducing this world to a rational and reasonable principle
I also know that I cannot reconcile them. What other truth can I admit without lying, without bringing in a hope which I lack and which means nothing within the limits of my condition? ~ Albert Camus
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Albert Camus
It has been suggested that an army of monkeys might be trained to pound typewriters at random in the hope that ultimately great works of literature would be produced. Using a coin for the same purpose may save feeding and training expenses and free the monkeys for other monkey business. ~ William Feller
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by William Feller
I cannot imagine that I could strive for something if I did not carry hope in me. ~ Vaclav Havel
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Vaclav Havel
Eid is a time of joy, after a season of fasting and prayer and reflection. Each year, the end of Ramadan means celebration and thanksgiving for millions of Americans. And your joy during this season enriches the life of our great country. This year, Eid is celebrated at the same time as Hanukkah and Advent. So it's a good time for people of these great faiths, Islam, Judaism and Christianity, to remember how much we have in common: devotion to family, a commitment to care for those in need, a belief in God and His justice, and the hope for peace on earth. ~ George W. Bush
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by George W. Bush
I am the source of love
I am the source of joy
I am the heaven and earth
I am the happiness. ~ Debasish Mridha
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Debasish Mridha
We cannot live in a world that is interpreted for us by others. An interpreted world is not a hope. Part of the terror is to take back our own listening. To use our own voice. To see our own light. ~ Hildegard Of Bingen
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Hildegard Of Bingen
Audience members are only concerned about the story, the concept, the bells and whistles and the noise that a popular film starts to make even before it's popular. So audiences will not be drawn to the technology; they'll be drawn to the story. And I hope it always remains that way. ~ Steven Spielberg
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Steven Spielberg
I have yet to meet a person whose favorite movie is 'Gigli', but I hope to meet them one day and give them a hug. ~ Justin Bartha
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Justin Bartha
Like so many things Henry had wanted in life
like his father, his marriage, his life
it had arrived a little damaged. Imperfect. But he didn't care, this was all he'd wanted. Something to hope for, and he'd found it. It didn't matter what condition it was in. ~ Jamie Ford
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Jamie Ford
Night's candles have burned out, and jocund day stands tiptoe on the misty mountaintops. Hope tinged with melancholy - like life. ~ William Shakespeare
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by William Shakespeare
If Mind is all, renounce the hope for bliss;
If Mind is all, renounce the hope for Truth.
[Savitri] ~ Sri Aurobindo
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Sri Aurobindo
Here in my heart, my happiness, my house.
Here inside the lighted window is my love, my hope, my life.
Peace is my companion on the pathway winding to the threshold.
Inside this portal dwells new strength in the security, serenity, and radiance of those I love above life itself.
Here two will build new dreams
dreams that tomorrow will come true.
The world over, these are the thoughts at eventide when footsteps turn ever homeward.
In the haven of the hearthside is rest and peace and comfort. ~ Abraham Lincoln
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Abraham Lincoln
Have an enthusiastic mind and a soft, but sweet, heart. ~ Debasish Mridha
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Debasish Mridha
He was proud of her, he admired her, and at that moment he was conscious of life as something good and he fell in love with her all over again. This consciousness of love took the form of a deep patience inhabiting him, rather than a feeling of cheer or even hope ~ Michael Stein
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Michael Stein
It is never over, though we are in December! ~ Ernest Agyemang Yeboah
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Ernest Agyemang Yeboah
Why hadn't he realized this before? Everyone knew that if you divided reality
by expectation, you got a happiness quotient. But when you inverted the equation-expectation
divided by reality-you didn't get the opposite of happiness. What you got, Lewis realized, was hope.
Pure logic: Assuming reality was constant, expectation had to be greater than reality to create
optimism. On the other hand, a pessimist was someone with expectations lower than reality, a
fraction of diminishing returns. The human condition meant that this number approached zero
without reaching it-you never really completely gave up hope; it might come flooding back at any
provocation. ~ Jodi Picoult
Carrie Hope Fletcher quotes by Jodi Picoult
