Chuck Lorre and I had been talking about doing one of his shows for a while. I said I'd like to do 'The Big Bang Theory,' because I think it's the best written, most intelligent show on television. ~ Bob Newhart
Bob Hentzen quotes by Bob Newhart
The movies I've made about the South, they were my experience and it's something that I know. ~ Billy Bob Thornton
Bob Hentzen quotes by Billy Bob Thornton
I failed to communicate, that's why I chose to leave ~ Bob Dylan
Bob Hentzen quotes by Bob Dylan
Everyone wants clean air and clean water, but my hope is that we will not regulate it to the point where we drive businesses and industries out of this country, to the point where entrepreneurs cannot start or expand their businesses because they simply can't afford to do so. ~ Bob Latta
Bob Hentzen quotes by Bob Latta
Leadership is not a voice crying in the wilderness, aloof and apart. It requires an ability to command as well as to inspire, to learn in the process of collaboration and to build a team with a common purpose that can take action and execute the change they envision. ~ Bob Rae
Bob Hentzen quotes by Bob Rae
I was the fattest baby in Clark County, Arkansas. They put me in the newspaper. It was like a prize turnip. ~ Billy Bob Thornton
Bob Hentzen quotes by Billy Bob Thornton
Bob was not a young man, and he knew about loss. He knew the quiet that arrived, the blinding force of panic, and he knew that each loss brought with it some odd, barely acknowledged sense of release. He was not an especially contemplative person, and he did not dwell on this. But by October there were many days when the swell of rightness, loose-limbedness, and gentle gravity came to him. It recalled to him being a child, when he found one day he could finally color within the lines. ~ Elizabeth Strout
Bob Hentzen quotes by Elizabeth Strout
You don't have to be the best guitar player, or have the best voice, or even be the best looking person - writing a song that moves people is worth more than all the other nonsense. (Just look at Bob Dylan - he's got almost no vocal range at all, but his songs are deeply moving and iconic.) If I had to offer one piece of advice: Write a song that moves people, and write it from within yourself. Your personal narrative is more engaging and moving than anything else you can imagine in your mind. ~ Ryan Ross
Bob Hentzen quotes by Ryan Ross
There are people who take rumors and embellish them in a way that can be devastating. And this pollution has to be eradicated by people in our business as best we can. ~ Bob Woodward
Bob Hentzen quotes by Bob Woodward
Sent from my CrackBerry Intergalactic Kommunikator that doubles as an Illuvian Disruptor Death Ray. ~ Bob N. Boguslavski
Bob Hentzen quotes by Bob N. Boguslavski
Sometimes, in order to be successful, a business must reset. ~ Bob McNair
Bob Hentzen quotes by Bob McNair
I can see God in a daisy. I can see God at night in the wind and rain. I see Creation just about everywhere. The highest form of song is prayer. King David's, Solomon's, the wailing of a coyote, the rumble of the Earth. ~ Bob Dylan
Bob Hentzen quotes by Bob Dylan
All these people that I used to know, they're an illusion to me now. Some are mathematicians, some are carpenters' wives. ~ Bob Dylan
Bob Hentzen quotes by Bob Dylan
Ryan rattled off names as I nodded and smiled at the faces - forgetting their names instantly. They should all be called Bob - make things so much easier. ~ Angela M. Hudson
Bob Hentzen quotes by Angela M. Hudson
Forget the dead you've left, they will not follow you. ~ Bob Dylan
Bob Hentzen quotes by Bob Dylan
I'm not interested in Bob Marley telling me to 'lively up' myself. The only music that satisfies me is Nine Inch Nails and Trent Reznor's voice crying through industrial rhytms. In the August evenings, I lie on my bed with earphones, letting his laments roll through me like unrepentant thunderstorms. I envy the courage that carries his voice into the world. He doesn't berate himself for pain and anger; he howls. And this delights me, even though I feel ashamed when my own rage comes to the surface. My anger doesn't signify courage; it's just more confirmation that I'm bad. ~ Kiera Van Gelder
Bob Hentzen quotes by Kiera Van Gelder
Remember, God can use us, but he doesn't need us. ~ Bob Kauflin
Bob Hentzen quotes by Bob Kauflin
You're a cow
Give me some milk
Or else go home ~ Bob Dylan
Bob Hentzen quotes by Bob Dylan
He says when you're smoking a cigarette with someone, and you have a lighter, you should light their cigarette first. But if you have matches, you should light your cigarette first, so you breathe in the 'harmful sulfur' instead of them. He says it's the polite thing to do. He also says it's bad luck to have "three on a match." He heard that from his uncle who fought in Vietnam. Something about how three cigarettes was enough time for the enemy to know where you are. Bob says that when you're alone, and you light a cigarette, and the cigarette is only halfway lit that means someone is thinking about you. ~ Stephen Chbosky
Bob Hentzen quotes by Stephen Chbosky
There's beauty in the silver singing river There's beauty in the sunrise in the sky But none of these and nothing else can match the beauty That I remember in my true love's eyes ~ Bob Dylan
Bob Hentzen quotes by Bob Dylan
It's nice of Mrs. Goe to think that marching against the juvenile juror law is going to keep kids safe. But the fact is, we're NOT safe. Nobody is. That's the whole point. There's no such thing as being safe
here or anywhere. People get hurt every day. Some people get killed by weirdos like Bob White and some people just get teased to death at the lunch table for drinking orange soda or eating a tuna fish sandwich. ~ Kate Klise
Bob Hentzen quotes by Kate Klise
Truly successful individuals create both immediate and long-lasting influence attracting others to them. ~ Bob Burg
Bob Hentzen quotes by Bob Burg
Bob Goodenow will kill me, but if we're going to be realistic about things, probably 75 per cent of the league is overpaid. But we're not paying ourselves. There are people giving it to us and no one is putting a gun to their heads. Something has to be done if we're going to fix this. ~ Brett Hull
Bob Hentzen quotes by Brett Hull
I think God sometimes uses the completely inexplicable events in our lives to point us toward Him. We get to decide each time whether we will lean in toward what is unfolding and say yes or back away. The folks who were following Jesus in Galilee got to decide the same thing each day because there was no road map, no program, and no certainty. All they had was this person, an idea, and an invitation to come and see. ~ Bob Goff
Bob Hentzen quotes by Bob Goff
We have to understand there are two parts of our mind, there's the conscious and the subconscious. It's the subconscious that controls our behavior. It's the conscious mind where the intellect is resident. So the conscious mind is understanding information, but it's not internalizing it. ~ Bob Proctor
Bob Hentzen quotes by Bob Proctor
I try to be a good human being and keep up with what's going on in the world by reading and staying in touch with the current events. ~ Bob Feller
Bob Hentzen quotes by Bob Feller
The path to obesity is paved with bacon and white bread; the way to skinny is built on apples and Ezekiel. ~ Bob Harper
Bob Hentzen quotes by Bob Harper
So he's a bad guy."
"Everyone's bad."
"No," Bob said, "they're not. Most people are okay."
"Yeah?" A smile of disbelief.
"Yeah. They just, I dunno, make a lotta messes and then they make more messes trying to clean those first messes up and after a while that's your life."
She sniffled and chuckled at the same time. "That's it, uh?"
"That's it sometimes. ~ Dennis Lehane
Bob Hentzen quotes by Dennis Lehane
The psychological detective story in "Equus" made Peter Shaffer's name as a playwright. But it was his next play, "Amadeus," that cemented his reputation, largely because of the movie version. Another battle of wills, it was the story of composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart seen through the eyes of lesser composer Antonio Salieri. ~ Bob Mondello
Bob Hentzen quotes by Bob Mondello

Bob Hentzen quotes by Bob Riley

Bob Hentzen quotes by Bob Greene
The media cannot come separate [Donald] Trump from his supporters. Only Trump can do that. They're trying, they're gonna keep trying because they think they can. They did it with [George W.]Bush. They did it with [Mitt] Romney. They did it with [John] McCain. They did it with Bob Dole. ~ Rush Limbaugh
Bob Hentzen quotes by Rush Limbaugh
I set records that will never be equaled. In fact, I hope 90% of them don't even get printed. ~ Bob Uecker
Bob Hentzen quotes by Bob Uecker
In one of our early conversations, Bob said to me, "I like Einstein as a character, because everybody knows who he is." In a sense, we didn't need to tell an Einstein story because everybody who eventually saw our Einstein brought their own story with them. In the four months that we toured Einstein in Europe we had many occasions to meet with our audiences, and people occasionally would ask us what it "meant." But far more often people told us what it meant to them, sometimes even giving us plot elucidation and complete scenario. The point about Einstein was clearly not what it "meant" but that it was meaningful as generally experienced by the people who saw it.
From the viewpoint of the creators, of course, that is exactly the way it was constructed to work. Though we made no attempt at all to tell a story, we did use dramaturgical devices to create a clearly paced overall dramatic shape. For instance, a "finale" is a dramaturgical device; an "epilogue" is another. Using contrasting sections, like a slow trial scene followed by a fast dance scene, is a dramaturgical device, and we used such devices freely. I am sure that the absence of direct connotative "meaning" made it all the easier for the spectator to personalize the experience by supplying his own special "meaning" out of his own experience, while the work itself remained resolutely abstract.
As to the use of three visual schemes, or images, Bob often mentioned that he envisioned them in three distinct wa ~ Philip Glass

Beyond here lies nothin' But the mountains of the past ~ Bob Dylan
Bob Hentzen quotes by Bob Dylan
They jogged along for another half mile, their increasingly laboured breaths punctuated by Bernie's gasps of "great" and "fantastic" whenever Davey showed his style.

"Good workout," Bernie said when they reached the finish line and began to walk. "You should run during the year too, Beckwith. I mean, how the hell do you stay so thin? You don't even play squash."

"I worry a lot," said Bob and kept walking. ~ Erich Segal
Bob Hentzen quotes by Erich Segal
