I know that unremitting attention to business is the price of success, but I don't know what success is. ~ Charles Dudley Warner
Price Of Success quotes by Charles Dudley Warner
But enemies, as his mother used to say, are the price of success. ~ Joe Abercrombie
Price Of Success quotes by Joe Abercrombie
It's the price of success: people start to think you're omnipotent. ~ Ben Bernanke
Price Of Success quotes by Ben Bernanke
Some of the biggest bores I've ever known are men who have been highly successful in business, particularly self-made heads of big companies. Before the first olive has settled into the first martini, they pour the stories of their lives into the nearest and sometimes the remotest ears capturable ... These men have indeed paid the price of success. To rise to the top of a big company often takes a totality of effort, concentration and dedication. Others, too, have to pay part of the price. Wife and children are out of mind even when in sight ... ~ Malcolm Forbes
Price Of Success quotes by Malcolm Forbes
The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand. ~ Vince Lombardi
Price Of Success quotes by Vince Lombardi
I know the price of success: dedication, hard work, and an unremitting devotion to the things you want to see happen. ~ Frank Lloyd Wright
Price Of Success quotes by Frank Lloyd Wright
Enemies are the price of success. ~ Joe Abercrombie
Price Of Success quotes by Joe Abercrombie
You can't be successful with other people if you haven't paid the price of success with yourself. ~ Stephen R. Covey
Price Of Success quotes by Stephen R. Covey
Victory only comes through wear and tear. ~ E.A. Bucchianeri
Price Of Success quotes by E.A. Bucchianeri
The price of success must be paid in full, in advance. ~ Brian Tracy
Price Of Success quotes by Brian Tracy
Whether your focus is on preserving and strengthening family ties in a world of increasingly unstable relationships, gaining access to a decent job, growing and evolving as a person, or guiding a company through the stormy seas of a fiercely competitive global marketplace-whether your goals are material, emotional, or spiritual-the price of success is the same: thinking, learning. To be asleep at the wheel-to rely only on the known, familiar, and automatized-is to invite disaster. ~ Nathaniel Branden
Price Of Success quotes by Nathaniel Branden
I'd rather strive for the kind of interview where instead of me asking to introduce myself to society, society asks me to introduce myself to society. ~ Criss Jami
Price Of Success quotes by Criss Jami
There are, he assures her, no such things as curses. There is luck, maybe, bad or good. A slight inclination of each day towards success or failure. But no curses. ~ Anthony Doerr
Price Of Success quotes by Anthony Doerr
The key ingredient to any kind of happiness or success is to never give less than your best ~ Russell Simmons
Price Of Success quotes by Russell Simmons
In such a case, it would be almost sure of success, if the active members of a society established for that purpose, were inclined to meet the poor as men, as brethren, and as Christians. ~ Joseph Lancaster
Price Of Success quotes by Joseph Lancaster
ECONOMIC IMPACT - The United States buys almost three quarters of a trillion dollars ($738,000,000,000.00) more from overseas suppliers than it sells in exports (balance of trade deficit). Overall, the US buys about $ 2.5 trillion dollars in goods and services produced by the other nations of the world every year. With the United States gone as the world's economic engine, the remaining nations of the world will, in varying degrees, immediately suffer from staggering financial depression. The financial credit crisis that started in mid-September, 2008 in the United States, soon reverberated in stock markets across the world. ~ John Price
Price Of Success quotes by John Price
There is a price tag on human liberty. That price is the willingness to assume the responsibilities of being free men. Payment of this price is a personal matter with each of us. ~ James Monroe
Price Of Success quotes by James Monroe
The person who gives up his individual self and becomes an automaton, identical with millions of other automatons around him, need not feel alone and anxious any more. But the price he pays, however, is high; it is the loss of his self. ~ Erich Fromm
Price Of Success quotes by Erich Fromm
There are people who can achieve huge success in life, while adding a bit of fun and a splash of colour to this increasingly grey world. ~ Peter James
Price Of Success quotes by Peter James
Money is like a sixth sense without which you cannot make a complete use of the other five. ~ W. Somerset Maugham
Price Of Success quotes by W. Somerset Maugham
Once you familiarize yourself with your tools, you should forget about them. It will only throw you off-balance. In all these 'rolling shit into little balls' types who spend hours of time and reams of paper saying nothing, literary masturbators, they concentrate on the vehicle more than what they want to produce. That impedes the end result and defeats the purpose. You must lose consciousness of the medium or mechanics to do the impossible. Like Nijinsky who explained how he gave the impression of hovering in mid-air – 'I just pause when I get there.' In a child-like way, real magicians innocently do the simplest thing. The objective is all they think about. I just want to make music the way I hear it. The ends justify the means, and the means become inconsequential. ~ Anton Szandor LaVey
Price Of Success quotes by Anton Szandor LaVey
You tend to become that, what you want most. Look to the light of God, expect the best and give it your best. Make success happen with devotion and dedication. You can do it. ~ Mark LaMoure
Price Of Success quotes by Mark LaMoure
Logarithmic-scale graphs are of great value in analyzing stocks because they can clearly show acceleration or deceleration in the percentage rate of quarterly earnings increases. One inch anywhere on the price or earnings scale represents the same percentage change. This is not true of arithmetically scaled charts. On arithmetically scaled charts, a 100% price move from $10 to $20 shows the same space change as a 50% increase from $20 to $30. But a log-scale graph shows a 100% increase as twice as large as the 50% increase. Weekly charts in Daily Graphs Online are properly logarithmic. ~ William O'Neil
Price Of Success quotes by William O'Neil
The majority of comic book villains are pure evil, but Curt Connors is an exception. Curt Connors is a good man who initially wants to save the world, but he gets hungry and greedy and reckless, and he pays the price for that. ~ Rhys Ifans
Price Of Success quotes by Rhys Ifans
The secret of the true love of work is the hope of success in that work; not for the money reward, for the time spent, or for the skill exercised, but for the successful result in the accomplishment of the work itself. ~ Sidney Abram Weltmer
Price Of Success quotes by Sidney Abram Weltmer
Olden days cannot be reversed even with the strongest incantation, but fresh days could be invoked to be fruitful in order to stop old fruitless years ~ Michael Bassey Johnson
Price Of Success quotes by Michael Bassey Johnson
The Court of Dreams.
The people who knew that there was a price, and one worth paying, for that dream. The bastard- born warriors, the Illyrian half breed, the monster trapped in a beautiful body, the dreamer born into a court of nightmares ... And the huntress with an artist's soul. ~ Sarah J. Maas
Price Of Success quotes by Sarah J. Maas
To blame my failures on the lack of resources is less about the lack of resources and more about my unwillingness to access those resources. ~ Craig D. Lounsbrough
Price Of Success quotes by Craig D. Lounsbrough
America can still point to individual rags-to-riches stories of self-made men and women who leapfrog to success. But for all the glitz of sudden stardom on American Idol, for all the hoop stars and gridiron heroes from the inner city, and for every surprise Wall Street billionaire, the unpleasant truth is that a typical child born at the bottom of the heap in America has far less chance of rising into the middle class or above than one born in France, Germany, or Scandinavia. In fact, one study found that it would take five or six generations, 125 to 150 years, for a child from America's poverty caste to rise to the middle of the middle class. ~ Hedrick Smith
Price Of Success quotes by Hedrick Smith
I sang in the coffee houses of the country in the early '60s with no idea of success in terms of records or television. I just thought I was a storyteller. I didn't even think of myself as a singer. ~ Judy Collins
Price Of Success quotes by Judy Collins
When I started at Bloomingdale's as a buyer, Alexander's was a discounter across the street, and every time Alexander's had something that we had at Bloomingdale's, we'd have to meet price. I didn't really want to be in a business where I had no control over my inventory, the value of my inventory. ~ Mickey Drexler
Price Of Success quotes by Mickey Drexler
Hasheesh is indeed an accursed drug, and the soul at last pays a most bitter price for all its ecstasies; moreover, the use of it is not the proper means of gaining any insight, yet who shall say that at that season of exaltation I did not know things as they are more truly than ever in the ordinary state? Let us not assert that the half-careless and uninterested way in which we generally look on nature is the normal mode of the soul's power of vision. There is a fathomless meaning, an intensity of delight in all our surroundings, which our eyes must be unsealed to see. ~ Fitz Hugh Ludlow
Price Of Success quotes by Fitz Hugh Ludlow
Adversity is solitary, while prosperity dwells in a crowd ~ Margaret Of Valois
Price Of Success quotes by Margaret Of Valois
Success is one step ahead of all your failures ~ J. Ruby
Price Of Success quotes by J. Ruby
We should protect our legacy of a free church in a free state. We ought to pray and work for a "quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty" (1 Tim. 2:2 kjv). But that is not the ultimate sign of our success. It is better for our future generations to be willing to go to jail - for the right reasons - than to exchange the gospel of the kingdom for a mess of Esau's pottage. Sometimes jails filled with hymn-singing, letter-writing, gospel-preaching Christians can do extraordinary things. ~ Russell D. Moore
Price Of Success quotes by Russell D. Moore
Good well-being promotes good productivity. ~ Lailah Gifty Akita
Price Of Success quotes by Lailah Gifty Akita
Another qualification of success is that we not only bring harmonious and beneficial results to ourselves, but also share those benefits with others. ~ Paramahansa Yogananda
Price Of Success quotes by Paramahansa Yogananda
People are more apt to respond to crisis, than to their dreams and vision. Dare not be one of them. ~ Ronald Mapamula
Price Of Success quotes by Ronald Mapamula
If you are a leader, the true measure of your success is not getting people to work. It's not getting people to work hard. It is getting people to work hard together. That takes commitment. ~ John C. Maxwell
Price Of Success quotes by John C. Maxwell
I do believe - and I know I shouldn't - that art transcends money and success and any of that. You can still do it if you're not clinging to the notion of nobility. ~ Aleksandar Hemon
Price Of Success quotes by Aleksandar Hemon
The morning will brighten the day, darkness gives way to light. The man awakens and sharpens his knife on the whetstone of success. ~ Kristian Goldmund Aumann
Price Of Success quotes by Kristian Goldmund Aumann
Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired and success achieved. ~ Helen Keller
Price Of Success quotes by Helen Keller
A willing soul will keenly go the length, breadth and depth to fulfill the dream. ~ Lailah Gifty Akita
Price Of Success quotes by Lailah Gifty Akita
The only fruit which even much living yields seems to be often only some trivial success,
the ability to do some slight thing better. We make conquest only of husks and shells for the most part,
at least apparently,
but sometimes these are cinnamon and spices, you know. ~ Henry David Thoreau
Price Of Success quotes by Henry David Thoreau
(Cedric Price produced the Potteries Thinkbelt) ... project which questioned most of the cherished establishment premises of university education and substituted in their place their complete inversion. ~ Roy Landau
Price Of Success quotes by Roy Landau
With her self-esteem perilously balanced on her excellence, she could only interpret failure as catastrophic. Lilly shamed herself when she made a mistake, becoming upset not only about her performance but about who she was as a human being ... She reached her heights at a steep internal price. Her Good Girl thinking forced her to walk an unforgiving line; one misstep would plummet her to the snapping jaws of failure ... Her unreasonable expectations kept her shackled to failure, preventing her from shaking off a mistake and moving forward quickly. ~ Rachel Simmons
Price Of Success quotes by Rachel Simmons
Aristocracy: A combination of many powerful men, for the purpose of maintaining their own particular interests. It is consequently a concentration of all the most effective parts of a community for a given end, hence its energy, efficiency and success. ~ James F. Cooper
Price Of Success quotes by James F. Cooper
It doesn't matter what you're trying to accomplish. It's all a matter of discipline. I was determined to discover what life held for me beyond the inner-city streets. ~ Wilma Rudolph
Price Of Success quotes by Wilma Rudolph
What if some of the most successful people in the world got that way because their success was fueled by a misappropriated need for love? What if the people we consider to be great are actually the most broken? And what if the whole time they're seeking applause they are missing out on true intimacy because they've never learned how to receive it? ~ Donald Miller
Price Of Success quotes by Donald Miller
Be ready to revise any system, scrap any method, abandon any theory, if the success of the job requires it. ~ Henry Ford
Price Of Success quotes by Henry Ford
In view of her present ease, Anais Nin knows that the description of what she was like as a child will be difficult to accept and so will occasion laughter [...] Nin also knows, however, how much we need to believe that such a triumph over handicaps is possible and how much our admiration for an accomplished person can be discouraging rather than encouraging to our own aspirations if we are not reminded of the struggles that preceded that success. Finally, she also knows that the tendency to cling to the idea that the person who exhibits remarkable qualities was invariably born with exceptional talents and advantages may be an inverted way of rationalizing one's own passivity and mediocrity. ~ Evelyn Hinz
Price Of Success quotes by Evelyn Hinz
The credit for Erté's rediscovery must be given to French writer Jacques Damase, who met the artist when preparing a book on the Parisian music-hall. It was not merely his active presence which astounded Damase, but the fact that neatly stored away were thousands of perfectly preserved drawings representing a life's work. The immediate result was an exhibition at Galerie Motte in 1965, organised with Jacques Perrin, who the following year held another exhibition at his own gallery in Paris. Through the Motte exhibition, Erté was brought to the attention of galleria Milano, which in 1965 included some of his work in a pioneering exhibition of Art Déco. The most prominent event in this sequence was was Erté inclusion in the important exhibition Les Années 25 held at Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris, in 1966, which put an historical and artistic seal on Art Déco and the diverse artistic activities of the 'twenties.

It is fair to say, however, that complete international reappraisal only came about after Grosvenor gallery in London became his world agents. Jacques Damase had suggested an exhibition of Erté's work to this London gallery, to which, at that time, I was acting as an art consultant. As a result we were able to prepare his first ever London exhibition in 1967. The remarkable success it achieved was presaged by a smaller exhibition in New York a few months earlier. It had planned to follow the London show with a similar collection in new York, based on work b ~ Charles Spencer
Price Of Success quotes by Charles Spencer
There never has been devised, and there never will be devised, any law which will enable a man to succeed save by the exercise of those qualities which have always been the prerequisites of success - the qualities of hard work, of keen intelligence, of unflinching will. ~ Theodore Roosevelt
