To be a different kind of parent, you don't just need a different parenting philosophy. You need a very different view of what a child actually is. ~ Pamela Druckerman
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Pamela Druckerman
Trust yourself. You know more than you think you do. ~ Benjamin Spock
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Benjamin Spock
Whether you call it Attachment Parenting, natural parenting, or simple maternal instincts, this false "return" to traditional parenting is just a more explicit and deliberate version of the often unnamed parenting gender divide. Whether you're wearing you baby or not, whether you're using cloth diapers or teaching your four-week-old to use the toilet; it's still women who are doing the bulk of child care, no matter what the parenting philosophy. Putting a fancy name to the fact that we're still doing all the goddamn work doesn't make it any less sexist or unfair ~ Jessica Valenti
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Jessica Valenti
We raise predators by treating children as prey. ~ Stefan Molyneux

Sex education in the modern manner has been well-described as plumbing for hedonists. ~ George F. Will
Parenting Philosophy quotes by George F. Will
The goal of parenting is to create self-sufficient virtues in children. Applying external pressure and punishments tends to teach them fear-based compliance rather than the internalization of moral standards. ~ Stefan Molyneux
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Stefan Molyneux
Sorting out what's good and bad is the province of ethics. It is also what keeps priests, pundits, and parents busy. Unfortunately, what keeps children and philosophers busy is asking the priests, pundits and parents, Why? ~ Thomas Cathcart
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Thomas Cathcart
If you want kids, choose your girlfriend like your future child has the deciding vote. ~ Stefan Molyneux
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Stefan Molyneux
With subjectivity in philosophy, anarchism in politics goes hand in hand. Already during Luther's lifetime, unwelcome and unacknowledged disciples had developed the doctrine of Anabaptism, which for a time dominated the city of Munster. The Anabaptists repudiated all law since they held that good men will be guided at every moment by the Holy Spirit, who can not be bound by formulas. From this premise they arrive at communism and sexual promiscuity; they were therefore exterminated after a heroic resistance. ~ Bertrand Russell
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Bertrand Russell
I'm worried about parents who aren't parenting. ~ Barbara Bush
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Barbara Bush
Life is worth living because we find the ultimate joy of life through love. ~ Debasish Mridha
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Debasish Mridha
Memories are painful and beautiful; wisdom is wonderful. When I am living in the present moment, I use wisdom and enjoy the memories of the past. ~ Debasish Mridha
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Debasish Mridha
If we think about the world peace as much as we think about what to eat next time only for a month, peace will be there. ~ Debasish Mridha
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Debasish Mridha
As we try to change, we will discover within us a fierce struggle between our loyalty to that battle-scarred victim of his own childhood, our father, and the father we want to be. We must meet our childhood father at close range: get to know him, learn to forgive him, and somehow, go beyond him. ~ Augustus Napier
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Augustus Napier
It's not the glitter, but the love, that makes things beautiful. ~ Debasish Mridha
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Debasish Mridha
Be kind to one another. Karma will be swift or slow but she will always come. ~ Sonya Watson
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Sonya Watson
The civility of no race can be perfect whilst another race is degraded. It is a doctrine alike of the oldest and of the newest philosophy, that man is one, and that you cannot injure any member, without a sympathetic injury to all the members ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Ralph Waldo Emerson
According to Nietzche," said a sharp new voice, making them all jump, "philosophy is the biography of the philosopher. ~ J.K. Rowling
Parenting Philosophy quotes by J.K. Rowling
It is more necessary for the soul to be cured than the body; for it is better to die than to live badly. ~ Epictetus
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Epictetus
You perceive now, my friends, what your general or abstract duty is as teachers. Although you have to generate in your pupils a large stock of ideas, any one of which may be inhibitory, yet you must also see to it that no habitual hesitancy or paralysis of the will ensues, and that the pupil still retains his power of vigorous action. ~ William James
Parenting Philosophy quotes by William James
Mina wanted some of the kind of love Momma gave to her children, where love was the first and deepest thing, and the questions came later and the answers wouldn't matter much measured up against the love. ~ Cynthia Voigt
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Cynthia Voigt
Irony is a gift of the gods, the most subtle of all the modes of speech. It is an armour and a weapon; it is a philosophy and a perpetual entertainment; it is food for the hungry of wit and drink to those thirsting for laughter ... ~ W. Somerset Maugham
Parenting Philosophy quotes by W. Somerset Maugham
Everyone is the other and no one is himself. ~ Martin Heidegger
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Martin Heidegger

Education is a savings account that you fill by learning and by spending. Even if you spend for the rest of your life, it will only grow to give you joy. ~ Debasish Mridha
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Debasish Mridha
If earth's poor, we expect to see poor souls;
if there be rich, we admire those rich souls.
If earth's rich, we expect to see rich souls;
if there be poor, we pity those poor souls.

So we ask: "Is earth rich or is it poor?"
Oh, none in the world can match earth's grandeur!
So now we know why we pity the poor:
"On rich earth, no one deserves to be poor. ~ Rodolfo Martin Vitangcol
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Rodolfo Martin Vitangcol
It is not however, adulthood itself, but parenthood that forms the glass shroud of memory. For there is an interesting quirk in the memory of women. At 30, women see their adolescence quite clearly. At 30 a woman's adolescence remains a facet fitting into her current self ... At 40, however, memories of adolescence are blurred. Women of this age look much more to their earlier childhood for memories of themselves and of their mothers. This links up to her typical parenting phase. ~ Terri E Apter
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Terri E Apter
For those who do not make the transition to a matured, more spiritual self-will reason will indeed be no more than rationalization. Here is a prodigious parallel: just as in antiquity the dysdaimonic personality could not appreciate how his mentality was bound in by his characterological (banausic, doulic) biases, so in modernity the facile or abstractivist rationalist cannot comprehend how his "rationality" merely slavishly subserves his appetites, delusions, preconceptions, ideologies, etc. ~ Kenny Smith
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Kenny Smith
Philosophy limits the thinkable and therefore the unthinkable. ~ Ludwig Wittgenstein
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Ludwig Wittgenstein
I would teach children music, physics, and philosophy; but most importantly music, for the patterns in music and all the arts are the keys to learning ~ Plato
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Plato
A baby's cry is precisely as serious as it sounds. ~ Jean Liedloff
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Jean Liedloff
Every beat of your heart sends the message of love over the boundary of infinite time. ~ Debasish Mridha

Out similar characteristics in everyone. For example, law students were undisciplined and competitive, medical students strict and lacking a sense of humor, philosophy ~ Donato Carrisi
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Donato Carrisi
Those who are courageous, go headlong. They search all opportunities of danger. Their life philosophy is not that of insurance companies. Their life philosophy is that of a mountain climber, a glider, a surfer. And not only in the outside seas they surf; they surf in their innermost seas. And not only on the outside they climb Alps and Himalayas; they seek inner peaks. But remember one thing: never forget the art of risking - never, never. Always remain capable of risking. Wherever you can find an opportunity to risk, never miss it, and you will never be a loser. Risk is the only guarantee for being truly alive. ~ Osho
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Osho

Parenting Philosophy quotes by Debasish Mridha
No literature is sound, no philosophy of action workable, if it doesn't take a hard look at itself. ~ John W. Campbell
Parenting Philosophy quotes by John W. Campbell
Eliot's own reflections on the primitive mind as a model for nondualistic thinking and on the nature and consequences of different modes of consciousness were informed by an excellent education in the social sciences and philosophy. As a prelude to our guided tour of the text of The Waste Land, we now turn to a brief survey of some of his intellectual preoccupations in the decade before he wrote it, preoccupations which in our view are enormously helpful in understanding the form of the poem. Eliot entered Harvard as a freshman in 1906 and finished his doctoral dissertation in 1916, with one of the academic years spent at the Sorbonne and one at Oxford. At Harvard and Oxford, he had as teachers some of modern philosophy's most distinguished individuals, including George Santayana, Josiah Royce, Bertrand Russell, and Harold Joachim; and while at the Sorbonne, he attended the lectures of Henri Bergson, a philosophic star in Paris in 1910-11. Under the supervision of Royce, Eliot wrote his dissertation on the epistemology of F. H. Bradley, a major voice in the late-nineteenth-, early-twentieth-century crisis in philosophy. Eliot extended this period of concentration on philosophical problems by devoting much of his time between 1915 and the early twenties to book reviewing. His education and early book reviewing occurred during the period of epistemological disorientation described in our first chapter, the period of "betweenness" described by Heidegger and Ortega y Gasset, the ~ Jewel Spears Brooker

Keep moving onwards! ~ Lailah Gifty Akita
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Lailah Gifty Akita
Dogmatic theology is, by its very nature, unchangeable. The same can be said in regard to the spirit of the law. Law was and is to protect the past and present status of society and, by its very essence, must be very conservative, if not reactionary. Theology and law are both of them static by their nature.

Philosophy, law and ethics, to be effective in a dynamic world must be dynamic; they must be made vital enough to keep pace with the progress of life and science. In recent civilization ethics, because controlled by theology and law, which are static, could not duly influence the dynamic, revolutionary progress of technic and the steadily changing conditions of life; and so we witness a tremendous downfall of morals in politics and business. Life progresses faster than our ideas, and so medieval ideas, methods and judgments are constantly applied to the conditions and problems of modern life. This discrepancy between facts and ideas is greatly responsible for the dividing of modern society into different warring classes, which do not understand each other. Medieval legalism and medieval morals- the basis of the old social structure-being by their nature conservative, reactionary, opposed to change, and thus becoming more and more unable to support the mighty social burden of the modern world, must be adjudged responsible in a large measure for the circumstances which made the World War inevitable. ~ Alfred Korzybski
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Alfred Korzybski
Live a life like a beautiful song, touch every heart with loving words and memorable music. ~ Debasish Mridha
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Debasish Mridha
When I say that consciousness is an illusion I do not mean that consciousness does not exist. I mean that consciousness is not what it appears to be. If it seems to be a continuous stream of rich and detailed experiences, happening one after the other to a conscious person, this is the illusion. ~ Susan Blackmore
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Susan Blackmore
As the sun sets, something in me rises! Do you think it could be my soul? I feel it's a big probability! ~ Jasleen Kaur Gumber
Parenting Philosophy quotes by Jasleen Kaur Gumber
