I'm never going to get married. I'm going to be a ballet-dancer. But don't tell anybody. ~ Leo Tolstoy
Kasack Dancer quotes by Leo Tolstoy
If you dance, you dance because you have to. Every dancer hurts, you know. ~ Katherine Dunham
Kasack Dancer quotes by Katherine Dunham
It is the earliest dream that I can remember, earlier than the witch at the corner of the nursery passage, this dream of something outside that has got to come in. The witch, like the masked dancers, has form, but this is simply power, a force exerted on a door, an influence that drifted after me upstairs and pressed against windows. ~ Graham Greene
Kasack Dancer quotes by Graham Greene
If you look at a dancer in silence, his or her body will be the music. If you turn the music on, that body will become an extension of what you're hearing. ~ Judith Jamison
Kasack Dancer quotes by Judith Jamison
And I will get to climb on that big beautiful bike of yours and wrap my arms around you and lean into all that gorgeous hair and smell you, and hear you laugh and see your eyes flash fire. Or I may as well just kick it right now because you, Dani Mega O'Malley, make me feel alive like nothing else does. ~ Karen Marie Moning
Kasack Dancer quotes by Karen Marie Moning
Once upon a time, there was a wise man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work.

One day, as he was walking along the shore, he looked down the beach and saw a human figure moving like a dancer. He smiled to himself at the thought of someone who would dance to the day, and so, he walked faster to catch up.

As he got closer, he noticed that the figure was that of a young man, and that what he was doing was not dancing at all. The young man was reaching down to the shore, picking up small objects, and throwing them into the ocean.

He came closer still and called out "Good morning! May I ask what it is that you are doing?"

The young man paused, looked up, and replied "Throwing starfish into the ocean."

"I must ask, then, why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?" asked the somewhat startled wise man.

To this, the young man replied, "The sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don't throw them in, they'll die."

Upon hearing this, the wise man commented, "But, young man, do you not realize that there are miles and miles of beach and there are starfish all along every mile? You can't possibly make a difference!"

At this, the young man bent down, picked up yet another starfish, and threw it into the ocean. As it met the water, he said,
"It made a difference for that one. ~ Loren Eiseley
Kasack Dancer quotes by Loren Eiseley
Little did I know that there's nothing more competitive in the world than a professional ballroom dancer. They are as competitive as Olympic athletes. ~ Bruce Forsyth
Kasack Dancer quotes by Bruce Forsyth
The Indians are the Italians of Asia", Didier pronounced with a sage and mischievous grin. "It can be said, certainly, with equal justice, that the Italians are the Indians of Europe, but you do understand me, I think. There is so much Italian in the Indians, and so much Indians in the Italians. They are both people of the Madonna - they demand a goddess, even if the religion does not provide one. Every man in both countries is a singer when he is happy, and every woman is a dancer when she walks to the shop at the corner. For them, food is music inside the body, and music is food inside the heart. The Language of India and the language of Italy, they make every man a poet, and make something beautiful from every banalite. They are nations where love - amore, pyaar - makes a cavalier of a Borsalino on a street corner, and makes a princess of a peasant girl, if only for the second that her eyes meet yours. ~ Gregory David Roberts
Kasack Dancer quotes by Gregory David Roberts
Hauk!" a man shouted in the hallway outside.
He fell back from the door and braced himself against the wall. Sumi went low in the center of the room, behind a crate.
"What?" Dancer answered.
"Surrender or we're going to kill them all! Piece by piece, until their screams echo in your ears!"
Dancer laughed at the threat. "You do that and I will eat you, piece by fucking piece. The three of them are the only thing keeping you alive right now. Release them and we'll let you live. It's your choice on how you leave this place. On your feet or feet first. You have thirty seconds to decide. ~ Sherrilyn Kenyon
Kasack Dancer quotes by Sherrilyn Kenyon
I'm not a trained dancer in the slightest. ~ Marcel Dzama
Kasack Dancer quotes by Marcel Dzama
My Chocolate Mudslide is going down smooth when we hear the three bells. Bing. Bing. Bing. But instead of Dan Dan the Party Man, it's a woman's voice and she's breathing heavily. She sounds Filipina, if that's even a thing. "Bravo… Bravo… Bravo," she pants. "Main engine. Starboard side. Bravo… Bravo… Bravo." We hear the speaker shut off. People look around a little nervously. The dancer warming up on stage makes a beeline for backstage. Within seconds the three bells are back. Oh, thank God, it's our Greek captain. "Laydis and gentlemen, thissis your captain spicking. Pliss proceed to your muster stations." This is not what I wanted him to say. We get up and make our way painfully slowly through the completely full theater. Everyone is quiet. Which is the wooooooorst. It's scary when a group of people all know instinctively not to joke around. Another voice comes over the PA, repeating, "Please, remain calm. Please proceed to your muster stations." The German half of me is thinking, "Shove the old people out of the way. Shove the old and the infirm! If they are strong enough to resist you, they deserve to live." The Greek half of me wants to scream at our Greek captain. I do neither and proceed obediently. ~ Tina Fey
Kasack Dancer quotes by Tina Fey
And that is the essence of wisdom - to be in harmony with nature, with the natural rhythm of the universe. And whenever you are in harmony with the natural rhythm of the universe, you are a poet, you are a painter, you are a musician, you are a dancer. ~ Osho
Kasack Dancer quotes by Osho
I'm pretty gutsy. Dancers don't think about things; they just do them. ~ Heather Morris
Kasack Dancer quotes by Heather Morris
I look around me and I don't see any rock'n'roll at the moment. Instead it's all choreography and stylists and wigs and stuff. It's like they're afraid to let the music breathe. No one has their own identity like the Ronettes did back in the day. We had the skirts with the slits up the side, sort of tough, sort of Spanish Harlem cool, but sweet too. We didn't have no dancers, we didn't have no goddamn wigs. ~ Ronnie Spector
Kasack Dancer quotes by Ronnie Spector
You're a dancer; don't strain, don't force it. Be one with the hurdle, let it happen, relax while running fast. ~ Renaldo Nehemiah
Kasack Dancer quotes by Renaldo Nehemiah
I'm a fantastic dancer! ~ Roger Milla
Kasack Dancer quotes by Roger Milla
Forgiveness: best for cleansing. Forgetfulness best for repetition. ~ Soul Dancer
Kasack Dancer quotes by Soul Dancer
How many impressionist painters painted the same damned thing? How many actors have played the same part in renditions of a play or dancers do the same dances, ~ Paul Provenza
Kasack Dancer quotes by Paul Provenza
Dancer finds me the next day as I practice my Aureate accent in the penthouse's holomirror. I can see a three-dimensional depiction of my head in front of me. The teeth move strangely, catching my tongue as I try to roll my words. I am still becoming used to my body, even months after the last of the surgeries. My teeth are larger than I initially thought them. It also doesn't help that the Goldbrows speak as though they've had golden shovels stuck up their bloodydamn stinkholes. So I find it easier to speak like one if I see that I am one. The arrogance comes easier. ~ Pierce Brown
Kasack Dancer quotes by Pierce Brown
For me, I'm a dancer first. I could be the President of the United States, and I will always be a dancer, first and foremost. ~ Anne Fletcher
Kasack Dancer quotes by Anne Fletcher
I went away when I was 9 to a ballet school. I thought I wanted to be a dancer, but eight years of ballet cured me of that. ~ Juliet Mills
Kasack Dancer quotes by Juliet Mills
He has also worked as a shop assistant, bicycle-repair mechanic, journalist, actor, eccentric dancer, and mail-order bride. He has never worked for MI5. Don't believe anyone who tel s you otherwise. He is, however, secretly Superman. ~ Simon R. Green
Kasack Dancer quotes by Simon R. Green
Let me tell you something: when you dance, you are the greatest dancer who has ever lived. And when you sing, you will have the courage to raise your voice to the heavens, knowing that you may never get an answer. ~ Emma Forrest
Kasack Dancer quotes by Emma Forrest
I was enough of an acrobat and a gymnast and a dancer and everything else so that I could handle the kung fu, because it's just choreography. ~ David Carradine
Kasack Dancer quotes by David Carradine
COSMIC DANCER"

"I was dancing when I was twelve
I was dancing when I was aaah
I danced myself right out the womb
Is it strange to dance so soon
I danced myself right out the womb

I was dancing when I was eight
Is it strange to dance so late
I danced myself into the tomb
Is it strange to dance so soon
I danced myself into the tomb

Is it wrong to understand
The fear that dwells inside a man
What's it like to be a loon
I liken it to a balloon

I danced myself out of the womb
Is it strange to dance to soon
I danced myself into the tomb
But then again once more
I danced myself out of the womb
Is it strange to dance so soon
I danced myself out of the womb. ~ Marc Bolan
Kasack Dancer quotes by Marc Bolan
The agility with which this particular katsina moves, and the long lines of his body, are familiar. I marvel at his footwork and wonder if, underneath the mask, this might not be Derek, the hoop dancer we met in Phoenix, Ruthann's nephew.
"Isn't that
"
"No, it's not." Ruthann says. "Not today. ~ Jodi Picoult
Kasack Dancer quotes by Jodi Picoult
Now, 'Dasher!' now, 'Dancer!' now, 'Prancer' and 'Vixen!'
On, 'Comet!' on, 'Cupid!' on, 'Donner' and 'Blitzen!' ~ Clement Clarke Moore
Kasack Dancer quotes by Clement Clarke Moore
I look at Ryodan and he looks at me and for a second I think we might both kill the kid. Ryodan's more stone-faced than usual, if that's possible without turning to concrete, and his fangs are out. I look down. Ryodan's sick is as big as mine. "Why the bloody hell don't you wear underwear?" To an Unseelie Prince an exposed male dick is a call to battle.
"They chafe. Too small and confining."
"Fuck you," I say.
"Dudes. Get over yourselves," the kid says. ~ Karen Marie Moning
Kasack Dancer quotes by Karen Marie Moning
I am dancing all the time. Every gesture, the body line of every pose, the way I get from place to place, the movement in the acting - none of it would be the way it is if I weren't a dancer. ~ Ray Bolger
Kasack Dancer quotes by Ray Bolger
If he had had all Peru in his pocket, he would certainly have given it to this dancer; but Gringoire had not Peru in his pocket; and besides, America was not yet discovered. (p. 66) ~ Victor Hugo
Kasack Dancer quotes by Victor Hugo
As a dancer, I'd dance with broken toes. Just like acting, you compete with yourself and drive forward. That discipline helped in Hollywood. ~ Jaime Pressly
Kasack Dancer quotes by Jaime Pressly
Never tell a girl to calm down. That makes matters worse. ~ Kaitlyn Dancer
Kasack Dancer quotes by Kaitlyn Dancer
Dancers today can do anything; the technique is phenomenal. The passion and the meaning to their movement can be another thing. ~ Martha Graham
Kasack Dancer quotes by Martha Graham
I want to be a lawyer, a dancer, an actress, a mother, a wife, a children's author, a distance runner, a poet, a pianist, a pet store owner, an astronaut, an environmental and humanitarian activist, a psychiatrist, a ballet teacher, and the first woman president. ~ Rachel Corrie
