No one is good; no one is evil; everyone is both, in the same way and in different ways. …
It is so small a thing, the life of a man, and yet there is time to do great things, fragments of the common task. ~ Paul Gauguin
Creepy Men quotes by Paul Gauguin
I met a hundred men going to Delhi and everyone is my brother. ~ Pope Paul VI
Creepy Men quotes by Pope Paul VI
King gives you this 'bro' stuff and tells you that the white man did this and we should stick together. Then he starts cutting your purse. I was with him for six years. You put your head in a noose when you sign with Don King. ~ Randall "Tex" Cobb
Creepy Men quotes by Randall
If men and women were surer of their God there would be more genuine manliness, womanliness, and godliness in the world, and a whole lot less fear of each other. ~ Elisabeth Elliot
Creepy Men quotes by Elisabeth Elliot
We want men who will fix their eyes on the stars, but who will not forget that their feet must walk on the ground. ~ Theodore Roosevelt
Creepy Men quotes by Theodore Roosevelt
I can safely say, on the authority of all that is revealed in the Word of God, that any man or woman on this earth who is bored and turned off by worship is not ready for heaven. ~ A.W. Tozer
Creepy Men quotes by A.W. Tozer
The man who cannot occasionally imagine events and conditions of existence that are contrary to the causal principle as he knows it will never enrich his science by the addition of a new idea. ~ Max Planck
Creepy Men quotes by Max Planck
When I go back to Texas, I travel the state, and I see people all the time who come up to me, men and women across Texas, and they grab me by the shoulder, and they're afraid. They say, 'Ted, you know, I just lost my health insurance. I got a child with diabetes. I'm scared. Please stop this from happening.' ~ Ted Cruz
Creepy Men quotes by Ted Cruz
To a man, ornithologists are tall, slender, and bearded so that they can stand motionless for hours, imitating kindly trees, as they watch for birds. ~ Gore Vidal
Creepy Men quotes by Gore Vidal
Regardless of how me or this man right here or anybody else in this business get, when we walk on an airplane in first-class looking like this, we're gonna get searched. ~ Method Man
Creepy Men quotes by Method Man
When you look at movies like 'Titanic,' they make money because of women. They go to see it and bring their men, too. ~ David Ramsey
Creepy Men quotes by David Ramsey
I want a man in my life, not in my house. ~ Joy Behar
Creepy Men quotes by Joy Behar
What is it like to be made vice-president?
On one level, it's a nearly hallucinatory degree of success. I was barely forty years old, and a shaky, sixty-three-year-old heartbeat from the leadership of the entire Western world.
It was also like throwing up in convention-hall bathrooms before giving speeches, and after. It was sitting through dinners with men and women with whom I had nothing in common. Spending an enormous amount of time on trains. Promising thins and agreeing to things as advised by people I had barely met, on very little sleep. Huge sums of money were changing hands and everything happening on the grandest scale imaginable while still in most moments remaining pointless and usually outright seedy. I pretended to learn to fly-fish; I watched sporting events. In Maine I was assaulted by a lobster; it seized my lapel in a threatening manner. I tasted local foods and admired factories, farms, department stores, hotels, and (unless I'm misremembering) several empty plots of land....
It was like being given what was almost the nation's highest honor by a man you held in infinite esteem and regarded with perhaps a certain amount of terrified suspicion, a man who disliked you and clearly wanted nothing to do with you, who would scowl and change the subject at the mention of your name. And then being given a very important and very nasty job by that person, and despised for it, almost as much as you despised yourself. ~ Austin Grossman
Creepy Men quotes by Austin Grossman
A dachshund came out of the bushes. Ruzena's father extended his pole toward him, but the dog alertly evaded it and ran over to the boy, who lifted him up and hugged him. Other old men rushed over to help Ruzena's father and tear the dachshund out of the boy's arms. The boy was crying, shouting, and grappling with them so that the old men had to twist his arms and put a hand over his mouth because his cries were attracting too much attention from the passersby, who were turning to look but not daring to intervene. [...] Jakub was leading the dog by the collar toward the hotel steps when one of the old men shouted: "Release that dog at once!"
And the other old man: "In the name of the law!"
Jakub pretended not to notice the old men and kept going, but behind him a pole slowly descended alongside his body and the wire loop wavered clumsily over the boxer's head.
Jakub grabbed the end of the pole and brusquely pushed it aside.
A third old man ran up and shouted: "Its an attack on law and order! I'm going to call the police!"
And the high-pitched voice of another old man complained: "He ran on the grass! He ran in the playground, where it's prohibited! He pissed in the kids' sandbox! Do you like dogs more than children?"
The boxer scampered around the room curiously, unaware that he had just escaped danger. Jakub stretched out on the daybed, wondering what to do with him. He liked the lively, good-natured dog. The insouciance with which, in a f ~ Milan Kundera
Creepy Men quotes by Milan Kundera
All my best friends are women except for one or two. I feel women are superior to men, and I love having them around. All that female energy is good for me. ~ John Polson
Creepy Men quotes by John Polson
I did believe, from my experience of life and of looking at the world, that men hated women. ~ Nuala O'Faolain
Creepy Men quotes by Nuala O'Faolain
I have always suffered from the feeling that it's better to read a good book than to write a poor one; and I've done so much mixed reading in my time that my mind is full of echoes and voices of better men. But this book I'm worrying about now really deserves to be written, I think, for it has a message of its own. ~ Christopher Morley
Creepy Men quotes by Christopher Morley
Genius: the superhuman in man. ~ Victor Hugo
Creepy Men quotes by Victor Hugo
Games? War is not a game, my friend. Games are for small children and old men like me. War is a young man's blighted delight ~ Renee Ahdieh
Creepy Men quotes by Renee Ahdieh
Cheap editions of great books may be delightful, but cheap editions of great men are absolutely detestable ~ Oscar Wilde
Creepy Men quotes by Oscar Wilde
Southern women often marry a man knowing that he is the father of many little slaves. They do not trouble themselves about it. ~ Harriet Ann Jacobs
Creepy Men quotes by Harriet Ann Jacobs
The good ones

who listen

to women

to children and the poor

die too soon,

their lives bedeviled

by opposition:

our hearts grieve for them.

This was the world my father knew.

A poor man

he saw good men come and mostly go;

leaving behind

the stranded and bereft.

People of hopes, dreams, and so much

hard work!

Yearning for a future
suddenly

foreclosed.

But today

you write me all is well

even though the admirable

Hugo Chavez

has died this afternoon.

Never again will we hear that voice

of reasoned anger

and disgust

of passionate vision

and of triumph.

This is true.

But what a lot he did in his 58 years!

You say.

What a mighty ruckus

Hugo Chavez made!

This is also true.

Thank you for reminding me.

That though life -

this never-ending loop -

has passed us by today

but carried off

in death

a hero

of the masses

it is his spirit

of fiercely outspoken

cariño

that is not lost.

That inheritance

has gone instantly

into ~ Alice Walker
Creepy Men quotes by Alice Walker
It's painful, man, for my daughters to say they're scared of me. ~ Tony Dorsett
Creepy Men quotes by Tony Dorsett
It is a common failing of man not to take account of tempests during fair weather. ~ Niccolo Machiavelli
Creepy Men quotes by Niccolo Machiavelli
The small man thinks that small acts of goodness are of no benefit, and does not do them; and that small deeds of evil do no harm, and does not refrain from them. Hence, his wickedness becomes so great that it cannot be concealed, and his guilt so great that it cannot be pardoned. ~ Confucius
Creepy Men quotes by Confucius
The man who sanctifies his wife understands that this is his divinely ordained responsibility ... Is my wife more like Christ because she is married to me? Or is she like Christ in spite of me? Has she shrunk from His likeness because of me? Do I sanctify her or hold her back? Is she a better woman because she is married to me? ~ R. Kent Hughes
Creepy Men quotes by R. Kent Hughes
I have always believed, heretofore, in the doctrines of the Declaration of Independence, that all men are born free and equal; but of late it appears that some men are born slaves, and I regret that they are not black, so all the world might know them. ~ Benjamin F. Wade
Creepy Men quotes by Benjamin F. Wade
Lesbianism has always seemed to me an extremely inventive response to a shortage of men, but otherwise not worth the trouble. ~ Nora Ephron
Creepy Men quotes by Nora Ephron
My daughter was sixteen," she went on. Tears ran over the bridge of her nose and onto the block, but her voice remained strong and loud. "Sixteen, when you burned her. Her name was Kaleen, and she had eyes like thunderclouds. I still hear her voice in my dreams."
The king jerked his chin to the executioner, who stepped forward.
"My sister was thirty-six. Her name was Liessa, and she had two boys who were her joy."
The executioner raised his ax.
"My neighbor and his wife were seventy. Their names were Jon and Estrel. They were killed because they dared to try and protect my daughter when your men came for her."
Rena Goldsmith was still reciting her list of the dead when the ax fell. ~ Sarah J. Maas
Creepy Men quotes by Sarah J. Maas
The books I read are the ones I knew and loved when I was a young man and to which I return as you do to old friends. ~ William Faulkner
Creepy Men quotes by William Faulkner
Drowning men will drag you down if you let them. Sometimes, to survive, you have to let them sink. ~ John Connolly
Creepy Men quotes by John Connolly
We have made money our god and called it the good life. We have trained our children to go for jobs hat bring the quickest corporate advancements at the highest financial levels. We have taught them careerism but not ministry and wonder why ministers are going out of fashion. We fear coddling the poor with food stamps while we call tax breaks for the rich business incentives. We make human community the responsibility of government institutions while homelessness, hunger, and drugs seep from the centers of our cities like poison from open sores for which we do not seek either the cause or the cure. We have created a bare and sterile world of strangers where exploitation is a necessary virtue. We have reduced life to the lowest of values so that the people who have much will not face the prospect of having less.
Underlying all of it, we have made women the litter bearers of a society where disadvantage clings to the bottom of the institutional ladder and men funnel to the top, where men are privileged and women are conscripted for the comfort of the human race. We define women as essential to the development of the home but unnecessary to the development of society. We make them poor and render them powerless and shuttle them from man to man. We sell their bodies and question the value of their souls. We call them unique and say they have special natures, which we then ignore in their specialness. We decide that what is true of men is true of women and then say that women ~ Joan D. Chittister
Creepy Men quotes by Joan D. Chittister
The deep sea can be fathomed, but who knows the heart of a woman? ~ Louis L'Amour
Creepy Men quotes by Louis L'Amour
The road ahead was full of perils, he knew, but what of it? All men must die. All he asked was time. ~ George R R Martin
Creepy Men quotes by George R R Martin
Home Economics & Civics
What ever happened to the two courses that were cornerstone programs of public education? For one, convenience foods made learning how to cook seem irrelevant. Home Economics was also gender driven and seemed to stratify women, even though most well paid chefs are men. Also, being considered a dead-end high school program, in a world that promotes continuing education, it has waned in popularity. With both partners in a marriage working, out of necessity or choice, career-minded couples would rather go to a restaurant or simply micro-burn a frozen pre-prepared food packet. Almost anybody that enjoys the preparation of food can make a career of it by going to a specialty school such as the Culinary Institute of America along the Hudson River in Hyde Park, New York. Also, many colleges now have programs that are directed to those that are interested in cooking as a career. However, what about those that are looking to other career paths but still have a need to effectively run a household? Who among us is still concerned with this mundane but necessary avocation that so many of us are involved with? Public Schools should be aware that the basic requirements to being successful in life include how to balance and budget a checking and a savings account. We should all be able to prepare a wholesome, nutritious and delicious meal, make a bed and clean up behind one's self, not to mention taking care of children that may become a part of the family ~ Hank Bracker
Creepy Men quotes by Hank Bracker
Is not Precedent indeed a King of men? A Word from the Psalmist. ~ Algernon Charles Swinburne
