White Privelege quotes by Kiersten White
A lot of black people believe that Jews in this country have become white. They behave like white people rather than Jewish people. ~ Toni Morrison
White Privelege quotes by Toni Morrison
Owen felt his mouth curve into a grin as he heard the familiar clap, clap, clap behind him.
That was one of his favorite sounds - high heels on the wooden dock of the Boys of the Bayou swamp boat tour company.
He took his time turning and once he did, he started at the shoes.
They were black and showed off bright red toenails. The straps wrapped sexily around trim ankles and led the eye right up to smooth, toned calves. The heels matched the black polka dots on the white skirt that thankfully didn't start until mid-thigh, and showed off more tanned skin.
He straightened from his kneeling position in one of the boats as his eyes kept moving up past the skirt to the bright red belt that accentuated a narrow waist and then to the silky black tank that molded to a pair of perfect breasts.
He was fully anticipating her lips being bright red to go with that belt and her toenail polish. God, he loved red lipstick. And high heels. In any color.
But before he could get to those lips, she used them, to say, "Oh, dammit, it's you."
Owen's gaze bypassed her mouth to fly to her eyes. Because he'd know that voice anywhere.
Madison Allain was home.
A day early.
Not that an extra day would have helped him prepare. He'd been thinking about her visit for a week and was still as wound tight about it as he'd been when Sawyer, his business partner and cousin, had told him that she was coming home. For a month.
Owen stood just watching her, fi ~ Erin Nicholas
White Privelege quotes by Erin Nicholas
We need a plan," I said.
"We are having far too many of those lately for my tastes," Jack said. "I vote Molotov cocktails. That one was fun."
"Much as I like lighting things on fire" - which I kind of had, more than I thought I would - "the goal here is to get everyone out safe. Not to blow them up. ~ Kiersten White
White Privelege quotes by Kiersten White
I felt red, white and blue all over. ~ Edward Higgins White
White Privelege quotes by Edward Higgins White
Lish tried to swear
which is always funny, because the computer won't translate it. It went something like this: Bleep stupid bleep bleep faeries and their bleep bleep bleep obsessions. He had better stop bleep bleep bleep the bleep bleep rules or I will bleep bleep bleep the little bleeeeeeeeeeep. ~ Kiersten White
White Privelege quotes by Kiersten White
What do you like?
What do you want?
What do you believe?
What do you envision?
What do you dream will happen in the future?

Those who have lost a strong sense of personal identity answer those questions with blank expressions. ~ Paula White
White Privelege quotes by Paula White
Here's the latest from the Pentagon
the generals are worried that the White House is spreading itself thin by trying to fight a war on two fronts; Afghanistan and Fox News. ~ Jay Leno
White Privelege quotes by Jay Leno
When I get to the White House, there will be no hesitation from me to make the tough decisions that need to be made because I've been doing it for the last 13 years as a former federal prosecutor and now as the governor of New Jersey. ~ Chris Christie
White Privelege quotes by Chris Christie
But I know it was a dull white, and had strange large greyish-red eyes; also that there was flaxen hair on its head and down its back. ~ H.G.Wells

I fear I am beyond your comprehension. - Gandalf the White ~ J.R.R. Tolkien
White Privelege quotes by J.R.R. Tolkien
Experience taught then and teaches now that blacks should never underestimate the level of violence that could be brought to bear against them by white authority, and that they should never overestimate the prospects for receiving understanding and support from white people. ~ Charles E. Cobb Jr.
White Privelege quotes by Charles E. Cobb Jr.
The tulips are too red in the first place, they hurt me.
Even through the gift paper I could hear them breathe
Lightly, through their white swaddlings, like an awful baby.
Their redness talks to my wound, it corresponds.
They are subtle : they seem to float, though they weigh me down,
Upsetting me with their sudden tongues and their color,
A dozen red lead sinkers round my neck.
Nobody watched me before, now I am watched.
The tulips turn to me, and the window behind me
Where once a day the light slowly widens and slowly thins,
And I see myself, flat, ridiculous, a cut-paper shadow
Between the eye of the sun and the eyes of the tulips,
And I have no face, I have wanted to efface myself.
The vivid tulips eat my oxygen. ~ Sylvia Plath
White Privelege quotes by Sylvia Plath
In the course of a long experience of the human race, I have learned that you can never make them understand anything, unless you rub it in. ~ T.H. White
White Privelege quotes by T.H. White
We take to the breeze, we go as we please. ~ E.B. White
White Privelege quotes by E.B. White
I just don't think America wants a female host. It's like men don't walk around in skirts in this country. Why change a good thing? ~ Vanna White
White Privelege quotes by Vanna White
Elvis Presley's death deprives our country of a part of itself. He was unique, irreplaceable. More than twenty years ago, he burst upon the scene with an impact that was unprecedented and will probably never be equaled. His music and his personality, fusing the styles of white country and black rhythm and blues, permanently changed the face of American popular culture. His following was immense. And he was a symbol to people the world over of the vitality, rebelliousness and good humor of this country. ~ Jimmy Carter
White Privelege quotes by Jimmy Carter
Religion does not consist in making a noise, yet when the soul is filled with the Spirit of the Lord, sweet, heart-felt praise to God glorifies him. ~ Ellen G. White
White Privelege quotes by Ellen G. White
There Rhoda sits staring at the blackboard,' said Louis, 'in the
schoolroom, while we ramble off, picking here a bit of thyme,
pinching here a leaf of southernwood while Bernard tells a story.
Her shoulder-blades meet across her back like the wings of a small
butterfly. And as she stares at the chalk figures, her mind lodges
in those white circles, it steps through those white loops into
emptiness, alone. They have no meaning for her. She has no answer
for them. She has no body as the others have. And I, who speak
with an Australian accent, whose father is a banker in Brisbane, do
not fear her as I fear the others. ~ Virginia Woolf
White Privelege quotes by Virginia Woolf
Oh, if people only knew how this business has grown. ~ Pearl White
White Privelege quotes by Pearl White
A Negro has handicaps enough without having to pay taxes to support the education of white students to learn how to suppress him. ~ Charles Hamilton Houston
White Privelege quotes by Charles Hamilton Houston

White Privelege quotes by Marianne Curley

White Privelege quotes by Ellen G. White
A young man had become possessed by a devil. The thing within him burst into loud lamentation and departed from the man. At once the youth's eye fell out on his cheek, and the whole of the pupil which had been black became white. ~ Saint Augustine
White Privelege quotes by Saint Augustine

White Privelege quotes by Jeff Landry
Bright cut flowers, leaves of green, bring about what I have seen ~ Amy Brecount White
White Privelege quotes by Amy Brecount White
It seems like I've only shut my eyes for a few minutes, but when I open them, I flinch at the sight of Haymitch sitting a couple of feet from my bed. Waiting. Possibly for several hours if the clck is right. I think about hollering for a witness, but I'm going to have to face him sooner or later.

Haymitch leans forward and dangles something on a thin white wire in front of my nose. It's hard to focus on, but I'm pretty sur what it is. He drops it in to the sheets. "That is your earpiece. I will give you exactly one more chance to wear it. If you remove it from your ear again, I'll have you fitted with this." He holds up some sort of metal headgear that I instantly name the head shackle. "It's alternative audio unit that locks around your skull and under your chin until it's opened with a key. And I'll have the only key. If for some reason you're clever enough to disable it" ---- Haymitch dumps the head shackle on the bed and whips out a tiny silver chip--- "I'll authorize them to surgically implant this transmitter into your ear so that I may speak to you twenty-four hours a day."
Haymitch in my head full-time. Horrifying. "I'll keep the earpiece in," I mutter
"Excuse me?" He says
"I'll keep the earpiece in!" I say loud enough to wake half the hospital.
"You sure? Because I'm equally happy with any of the three options," he tells me
"I'm sure," I say. I scrunch up the earpiece protectivley in my fist and fling the head shakle back in ~ Suzanne Collins
White Privelege quotes by Suzanne Collins
So Spring comes merry towards me here, but earns
No answering smile from me, whose life is twin'd
With the dead boughs that winter still must bind,
And whom today the Spring no more concerns.
Behold, this crocus is a withering flame;
This snowdrop, snow; this apple-blossom's part
To breed the fruit that breeds the serpent's art.
Nay, for these Spring-flowers, turn thy face from them,
Nor stay till on the year's last lily-stem
The white cup shrivels round the golden heart. ~ Dante Gabriel Rossetti
White Privelege quotes by Dante Gabriel Rossetti
Betty White met with President Obama at the White House. President Obama invited Betty personally because she's great with animals. And the president's still having a tough time house-training Joe Biden. ~ Craig Ferguson
White Privelege quotes by Craig Ferguson
the ways Black people are portrayed as the ultimate evil to justify historically and currently our exploitation, containment, and murders; the fact that for Black people and other people of color, the history of slavery, genocide, white supremacy, and colonialism is the only true horror story, and it is one we continue to live every day; and the fact that resistance of the oppressed to these structures has always been seen as the most frightful abomination that could be birthed. Through ~ Walidah Imarisha
White Privelege quotes by Walidah Imarisha
The choice in politics isn't usually between black and white. It's between two horrible shades of gray. ~ Peter Thorneycroft, Baron Thorneycroft
White Privelege quotes by Peter Thorneycroft, Baron Thorneycroft
The last time I saw Collin was in 1917, at the foot of Mort-Homme.

Before the great slaughter, Collin'd been an avid angler. On that day, he was standing at the hole, watching maggots swarm among blow flies on two boys that we couldn't retrieve for burial without putting our own lives at risk.

And there, at the loop hole, he thought of his bamboo rods, his flies and the new reel he hadn't even tried out yet.

Collin was imaging himself on the riverbank, wine cooling in the current his stash of worms in a little metal box and a maggot on his hook, writhing like… Holy shit. Were the corpses getting to him?

Collin. The poor guy didn't even have time to sort out his thoughts.

In that split second, he was turned into a slab of bloody meat. A white hot hook drilled right through him and churned through his guts, which spilled out of a hole in his belly.

He was cleared out of the first aid station. The major did triage. Stomach wounds weren't worth the trouble. There were all going to die anyway, and besides, he wasn't equipped to deal with them.

Behind the aid station, next to a pile of wood crosses, there was a heap of body parts and shapeless, oozing human debris laid out on stretchers, stirred only be passing rats and clusters of large white maggots.

But on their last run, the stretcher bearers carried him out after all… Old Collin was still alive.

From the aid station to the ambu ~ Jacques Tardi
White Privelege quotes by Jacques Tardi
No,' said Gandalf. 'That is not the road that you must take. I have spoken words of hope. But only of hope. Hope is not victory. War is upon us and all our friends, a war in which only the use of the Ring could give us surety of victory. It fills me with great sorrow and great fear: for much shall be destroyed and all may be lost. I am Gandalf, Gandalf the White, but Black is mightier still. ~ J.R.R. Tolkien
White Privelege quotes by J.R.R. Tolkien
I suppose the White House thinks it's doing what Big Business wants, but it will lead to vastly increased taxes, because all these guest workers are to be allowed to bring their children. ~ Peter Brimelow
