Unless I'm wrong I but obey The urge of a song: I'm-bound-away! And I may return If dissatisfied With what I learn From having died. ~ Robert Frost
Megina Song quotes by Robert Frost
Jay-Z called me onstage during my song that I produced for 'Watch the Throne?' That was surreal, man. One of those situations I'll never forget. I'll be able to show my kids the footage of when Jay-Z brought me onstage. ~ Hit-Boy
Megina Song quotes by Hit-Boy
I don't know if I have a 'Greatest Album Ever.' I really liked 'The Blueprint' by Jay-Z. The production on that album was really great. 'All I Need' was the first song I used for walk-on music in 2002 for my second time ever on stage, so that means a lot to me. ~ Hannibal Buress
Megina Song quotes by Hannibal Buress
Poetry for me is a result of lyrical meditation, pre-verbal in origin, and much of the craft has to do with finding a contemporary diction that embodies, at times subverts but never betrays that pre-verbal lyrical source: the presence of song before it is sung. ~ John Allison
Megina Song quotes by John Allison
How the world loves her sad songs! ~ Marty Rubin
Megina Song quotes by Marty Rubin
From very early on, I've realized that and I have a mission statement with my songs to entertain, to encourage and to challenge the Body of Christ. That's always kind of the focus of the songs that I write for myself. ~ Jonny Diaz
Megina Song quotes by Jonny Diaz
I see a woman in the night with a baby in her hand, under an old street light near a garbage can. ~ Neil Young
Megina Song quotes by Neil Young
Love conquers all," murmured Kim. "I heard it in a song, so it must be true. ~ Simon R. Green
Megina Song quotes by Simon R. Green
Without a human voice to read them aloud, or a pair of wide eyes following them by flashlight beneath a blanket, books had no real existence in our world. Like seeds in the beak of a bird waiting to fall to earth, or the notes of a song laid out on a sheet, yearning for an instrument to bring their music into being. they lie dormant hoping for the chance to emerge. They want us to give them life. ~ John Connolly
Megina Song quotes by John Connolly
I've been amazed that it's so popular with people. But it's been fantastic. People are very excited when I walk into a place and they recognize me from the series. ~ Victor Garber
Megina Song quotes by Victor Garber
I want to produce with people that are going to be on the charts and win Grammys because having regular old street songs is cool, but I did all that already. ~ AraabMuzik
Megina Song quotes by AraabMuzik
Inside the card, I told Sam that the present I gave her was given to me by my Aunt Helen. It was an old 45 record that had the Beatles' song "Something." I used to listen to it all the time when I was little and thinking about grown-up things. I would go to my bedroom window and stare at my reflection in the glass and the trees behind it and just listen to the song for hours. I decided them that when I met someone I thought was a beautiful as the song. I should give it to that person. And I didn't mean beautiful on the outside. I meant beautiful in all ways. So, I was giving it to Sam. ~ Stephen Chbosky
Megina Song quotes by Stephen Chbosky
Expanding further on his own observations of Prince's writing style(s) during the course of the album's recording, fellow Paisley Park engineer Eddie Miller, who engineered the recording of 'Electric Chair' among other Prince recordings during the Batman era, recalled that "he would write all sorts of ways. I have to admit that I listened to some of his cassette demos that he would sometimes bring into the studio to reference (as I remember, he would hold the cassette player up to his ear, so you couldn't really hear it.). They were fascinating. His cassette demo technique was extremely crude but ingenious - it's like something you'd do if you had no access to any equipment. He'd use two cheap cassette recorders. If he wanted to hear drums, he'd record a human beat box rhythm for the length of the song - and most likely, he'd have the form of the song in his head while he was recording this. By the way, it was the same in the studio when he'd do his one man band approach to recording a song. He'd know the song in his head, and start out recording the drums for the song (it would essentially become the 'click track' - the way a click track should be). Back to the cassette demo - he'd then play his beat box groove over the speaker on the cassette recorder and sing the bass line while recording all this onto the second cassette machine. He'd build up a rhythm track this way, and then add vocals. And there's your demo. ~ Jake Brown
Megina Song quotes by Jake Brown
It's our song," he murmured into my ear. ~ Elise Allen
Megina Song quotes by Elise Allen
I could have guessed it all along, cuz now some drama queen is gonna write a song for me ~ Emilie Autumn
Megina Song quotes by Emilie Autumn
Music is so much fun because each song is like a film in itself. You get to go from beginning to end and interact and exchange energy with a live audience. ~ Shawnee Smith
Megina Song quotes by Shawnee Smith
Too many times you come across lyrics that sound like you've heard them before or you can't really relate to them. And I think that I write songs that sound fresh and sensual in kind of a layered, lush way. But I also think that they are real, and that's why I wanted to call the record 'Inside Out.' ~ Emmy Rossum
Megina Song quotes by Emmy Rossum
But what if you're wrong?
What if there's more?
What if there's hope you never dreamed of hoping for?
What if you jump?
And just close your eyes?
What if the arms that catch you, catch you by surprise?
What if He's more than enough?
What if it's love? ~ Nichole Nordeman
Megina Song quotes by Nichole Nordeman
It feels good, you know. It feels like you're out there, you know, doin' your own thing, know what I'm sayin'? It's like, people can't really compare it to anything, and that kinda feels good. It opens me up to a lot of different arenas, a lot of different type of situations, you know like Tony Hawk will call. You know what I'm sayin'? I can just image if my songs was about shootin' up, and like sellin' cocaine, I doubt Tony Hawk would be callin' you know? ~ Lupe Fiasco
Megina Song quotes by Lupe Fiasco
Hush now, my darling
It's all okay
Nothing can hurt you
The world won't end today
Lay down your head
Get some rest
This time will pass
We're coming up on the best
Just give it time
It's all gonna change
But remember it takes time
For things to rearrange
There are happy people in happy places
My darling, out there
One day, it'll change
One day, it'll change ~ Kaitlyn Deann
Megina Song quotes by Kaitlyn Deann
In the songs I can still be really really direct but in interviews when I'm explaining my songs I shouldn't be so direct about who they're about. ~ Adele
Megina Song quotes by Adele
It's all very hazy to me now. I'm glad I made it through that stage. It got a little dicey. There were some drugs going on. I remember singing one song for about a day and a half. ~ Neil Young
Megina Song quotes by Neil Young
Worship is not music. We can certainly worship Him without musicians and without a song. And by the way, God does not actually seek worship. The Word tells us that He seeks worshippers. He's not looking for those who make the most beautiful music. He's looking for those who worship in spirit ... and in truth. Music is only one of the ways that he has ordained for us to express our worship. Yet too many worship leaders today spend more time honing their craft and planning / rehearsing their worship sets, than they spend on their face, alone in worship. ~ Steven Rice
Megina Song quotes by Steven Rice
She has her eyes closed, looking lost to the song and completely oblivious to what's happening around her, or at how she's affecting everyone in the room. I wonder if she's aware of how amazing she is? ~ A.R. Von
Megina Song quotes by A.R. Von
Every song falls short of the glory of what a song could be. That's why the urge is there to start again and yet again. Often it's the fault of rhyme. I've discovered a hundred times that there just aren't enough rhymes to say what I wanted to say, so I said something else instead. Sometimes it was a better thing, but the thing I meant to say went unsaid. So there's an opening for another song. ~ Robert Hunter
Megina Song quotes by Robert Hunter
At some point, she didn't know when or for how long, she found herself lost, lost in a song. Her eyes had been closed, and against her will, the music had seeped into her, as if by osmosis, fusing with her soul. ~ James Morris
Megina Song quotes by James Morris
America is a song that sounds the best when we all sing together - at least for a while. ~ Michael Josephson
Megina Song quotes by Michael Josephson
The prose as such has to be singing the song the story is telling. ~ Leonard Michaels
Megina Song quotes by Leonard Michaels
You travel the world, you go see different things. I like to see Shakespeare plays, so I'll go - I mean, even if it's in a different language. I don't care, I just like Shakespeare, you know. I've seen Othello and Hamlet and Merchant of Venice over the years, and some versions are better than others. Way better. It's like hearing a bad version of a song. But then somewhere else, somebody has a great version. ~ Bob Dylan
Megina Song quotes by Bob Dylan
It's good to have some kind of California in there. It's almost always appropriate. It's appropriate on a sunny day or late at night. If you grew up on the Grateful Dead, which I certainly did, you listened to 10 million bootlegs. But you realize that American Beauty has some really tight, well-arranged songs that aren't meandering. ~ Craig Finn
Megina Song quotes by Craig Finn
When all that you've tried, leaves nothing but holes inside. ~ Joe Brooks
Megina Song quotes by Joe Brooks
Christians and Jews alike are the new exiles of the contemporary world, struggling with how to sing the Lord's song in a strange land. ~ David Novak
Megina Song quotes by David Novak
You know the Prince song where the girl's phone rings but she tells him, "whoever's calling couldn't be as cute as you?" I long to live out this moment in real life. ~ Rob Sheffield
Megina Song quotes by Rob Sheffield
You're not gonna start writing 'Hardy loves Miracle' all over your notebooks, are you? Sing her a song and post it on YouTube? ~ M. Leighton
Megina Song quotes by M. Leighton
It's good when someone says, "Would you write a song for this purpose," or "would you record a song for this purpose," or "would you help me realize this song," again, for this purpose. ~ Will Oldham
Megina Song quotes by Will Oldham
I can write songs without a guitar. ~ Meredith Brooks
Megina Song quotes by Meredith Brooks
Soul work is not a high road. It's a deep fall into an unforgiving darkness that won't let you go until you find the song that sings you home. ~ McCall Erickson
Megina Song quotes by McCall Erickson
Getting a great idea with song writing is a lot like love. You don't know why this one is different, but it is. You don't know why this one is better, but it is. It sticks in your head, and you can't stop thinking about it. ~ Taylor Swift
Megina Song quotes by Taylor Swift
I don't write the songs; I just write 'em down. ~ Bob Dylan
Megina Song quotes by Bob Dylan
I love the idea that you can create a world through song. ~ Jon Foreman
Megina Song quotes by Jon Foreman
The world we are trying to transcend is not the physical world of air, sunlight, and ocean. After all, that world, even with all of its problems, is an amazingly beautiful world. Our problem is with the world that mind has constructed. Can we see that there is a mental world that we have created somewhere in our consciousness? It is a mind-created world that we have been living in forever. When we open our eyes, we see the outer world. We can walk outside near the ocean for just ten or twenty minutes and we see a beautiful world with sand, rocks, waves; the ocean is singing a song. It is a beautiful world. There is nothing wrong with that world. It is perfect, sacred in itself.

The world that we must transcend is the world that mind has constructed. That world has lots of problems, lots of drama, lots of stories, and lots of suffering. It's a forever spinning wheel of painfulness, agony, and so forth. ~ Anam Thubten
Megina Song quotes by Anam Thubten
As a young concert-going person, I was never enamoured with celebrities who would walk out to feature in certain songs and then walk off. ~ John Lydon
Megina Song quotes by John Lydon
A cold wind was blowing from the north, and it made the trees rustle like living things. ~ George R R Martin
Megina Song quotes by George R R Martin
I'd like my life to be like a Bruce Springsteen song. Just once. I know I'm not born to run, I know that Seven Sisters' Road is nothing like Thunder Road, but feelings can't be different, can they? ~ Nick Hornby
