Multilevel multitasking multiplied multiple times is Event Management. ~ Rehan Waris
Event Managment quotes by Rehan Waris
There seemed to be some inner need in many people to believe that the world would end in some cataclysmic event. Usually in the very near future. ~ Terry Goodkind
Event Managment quotes by Terry Goodkind
Well, each interpretation of an event, setting or character is unique to each of those who read it because they clothe the author's description with the memory of their own experiences. Every character they read is actually a complex amalgam of people they've met, read or seen before - far more real than it can ever be just from the text on the page. Because every reader's experiences are different, each book is unique for each reader. ~ Jasper Fforde
Event Managment quotes by Jasper Fforde
You'll notice that the Intrepid's inertial dampeners don't work as well in crisis situations, Dahl remembered Jenkins telling them. The ship could do hairpin turns and loop-de-loops any other time and you'd never notice. But whenever there's a dramatic event, there goes your footing. ~ John Scalzi
Event Managment quotes by John Scalzi
Jesus said if you want to be great in the kingdom, if you want to live a blessed life, there's a simple key: You have to serve other people. He wasn't talking about an event that happens every once in a while. He was talking about a lifestyle in which you live to help others, and you're always looking for ways to serve.
When you live a "serve others" lifestyle, you help friends, volunteer in your community, and take care of loved ones. It's not something you have to force yourself to do. It becomes a part of who you are. You develop an attitude of giving to everyone you meet. That's when you'll have true happiness and true fulfillment. You live not to receive, but to give.
Many people are not happy, because they are focused only on themselves. It's all about "my dreams, my goals, and my problems." That self-centered focus will limit you. You have to get your mind off of yourself.
You were created to give. God has put people in your life on purpose so you can be a blessing to them. Every morning you should ask, "God, what is my assignment today? Help me to see the people you want me to be good to. ~ Joel Osteen
Event Managment quotes by Joel Osteen
I believe that every single event in life happens in an opportunity to choose love over fear. ~ Oprah Winfrey
Event Managment quotes by Oprah Winfrey
At the back of my mind I had a sense of us sitting about waiting for some terrible event, and then I would remember that it had already happened. ~ Ian McEwan
Event Managment quotes by Ian McEwan
Sometimes I think it is ... frustration with life as it is lived day to day that compels me to write such long letters to people who seldom reply in kind, if indeed they reply at all. Somehow by compressing and editing the events of my life, I infuse them with a dramatic intensity totally lacking at the time, but oddly enough I find that years later what I remember is not the event as I lived it but as I described it in a letter. ~ Elizabeth Forsythe Hailey
Event Managment quotes by Elizabeth Forsythe Hailey
The ultimate singularity is the Big Bang, which physicists believe was responsible for the birth of the universe. We are asked by science to believe that the entire universe sprang from nothingness, at a single point and for no discernible reason. This notion is the limit case for credulity. In other words, if you can believe this, you can believe anything. It is a notion that is, in fact, utterly absurd, yet terribly important. Those so-called rational assumptions flow from this initial impossible situation. Western religion has its own singularity in the form of the apocalypse, an event placed not at the beginning of the universe but at its end. This seems a more logical position than that of science. If singularities exist at all it seems easier to suppose that they might arise out of an ancient and highly complexified cosmos, such as our own, than out of a featureless and dimensionless mega-void. ~ Terence McKenna
Event Managment quotes by Terence McKenna
There are some works which the authors must consign unpublished to posterity, however uncertain be the event, however hopeless be the trust. He that writes the history of his own times, if he adhere steadily to truth, will write that which his own times will not easily endure. He must be content to reposite his book till all private passions shall cease, and love and hatred give way to curiosity. ~ Samuel Johnson
Event Managment quotes by Samuel Johnson
Nevertheless, Schlieffen decided, in the event of war, to attack France by way of Belgium. ~ Barbara W. Tuchman
Event Managment quotes by Barbara W. Tuchman
Unburdening, she'd told Laurie about a vision she'd had when she was four or five years old. Unable to sleep on Christmas Eve, she'd tiptoed downstairs and seen a fat bearded man standing in front of her family's tree, checking items off a list. He wasn't wearing a red suit - it was more like a blue bus driver's uniform - but she still recognized him as Santa Claus. She watched him for a while, then snuck back upstairs, her body filled with an ecstatic sense of wonder and confirmation. As a teenager, she convinced herself that the whole thing had been a dream, but it had seemed real at the time, so real that she reported it to her family the next morning as a simple fact. They still jokingly referred to it that way, as though it were a documented historical event - the Night Meg Saw Santa. ~ Tom Perrotta
Event Managment quotes by Tom Perrotta
Actually, when I was young, I believe I met Nicolas Cage. I think I was probably eight, and I remember seeing him at somebody's house - it was an event and he happened to be there. People would ask me if I was his son, because I looked like him at that point, so I do remember feeling some connection and just wanting to say, like, 'Papa!' ~ Simon Helberg
Event Managment quotes by Simon Helberg
A play is a blueprint of an event: a way of creating and rewriting history through the medium of literature. Since history is a recorded or remembered event, theatre, for me, is the perfect place to 'make' history--that is, because so much of African-American history has been unrecorded, dismembered, washed out, one of my tasks as a playwright is to--through literature and the special strange relationship between theatre and real-life--locate the ancestral burial ground, dig for bones, find bones, hear the bones sing, write it down. ~ Suzan-Lori Parks
Event Managment quotes by Suzan-Lori Parks
The event itself is so extraordinary that another chapter could be added to the Bible to chronicle its significance. ~ Jesse Jackson, Jr.
Event Managment quotes by Jesse Jackson, Jr.
Finally my heart is starting to self heal it is like the skin eventually the cut that was once so painful and deep is on the mend as the time passes ... Time heals everything! But at least I have experienced that pain so next time I know how to avoid such an event and take it as a life lesson ~ Abe
Event Managment quotes by Abe
But I must be content with only one more and a concluding illustration; a remarkable and most significant one, by which you will not fail to see, that not only is the most marvellous event in this book corroborated by plain facts of the present day, but that these marvels (like all marvels) are mere repetitions of the ages; so that for the millionth time we say amen with Solomon - Verily there is nothing new under the sun. ~ Herman Melville
Event Managment quotes by Herman Melville
6.4311
6.4311
Death is not an event of life. Death is not lived through.
If by eternity is understood not endless temporal duration but timelessness, then he lives eternally who lives in the present.
Our life is endless in the way that our visual field is without limit. ~ Ludwig Wittgenstein
Event Managment quotes by Ludwig Wittgenstein
That summer, there was a Name the Babies contest, an annual event organized by the Whale Museum on San Juan Island. A young girl from Bellingham submitted the winning entry. The little orca should be named "Luna", she wrote, because "the whale explores the ocean like the moon explores the Earth. ~ Michael Parfit
Event Managment quotes by Michael Parfit
It follows that the word probability, in its mathematical acceptance, has reference to the state of our knowledge of the circumstances under which an event may happen or fail. With the degree of information we possess concerning the circumstances of an event, the reason we have to think that it will occur, or, to use a single term, our expectation of it will vary. Probability is the expectation founded upon partial knowledge. ~ George Boole
Event Managment quotes by George Boole
The physical universe was a language with a perfectly ambiguous grammar. Every physical event was an utterance that could be parsed in two entirely different ways, one casual and the other teleological, both valid, neither one disqualifiable no matter how much context was available. ~ Ted Chiang
Event Managment quotes by Ted Chiang
Traditional Sufi wisdom teaches that we are the creation and manifestation of Infinite Love, and that every event and circumstance of our lives serves to awaken us and remind us that true happiness and security is to be found in the deepest center of ourselves where we are closest to that Infinite Love, where our true needs will be met.
~Shaikh Kabir Helminski ~ Kabir Helminski
Event Managment quotes by Kabir Helminski
Traditionally, photography is supposed to capture an event that has passed; but that is not what I'm looking for. Photography brings the past into the present when you look at it. ~ Julian Schnabel
Event Managment quotes by Julian Schnabel
These people have all developed the art of not experiencing feelings, for a child can experience her feelings only when there is somebody there who accepts her fully, understands her, and supports her. If that person is missing, if the child must risk losing the mother's love or the love of her substitute in order to feel, then she will repress her emotions. She cannot even experience them secretly, "just for herself"; she will fail to experience them at all. But they will nevertheless stay in her body, in her cells, stored up as information that can be triggered by a later event. ~ Alice Miller
Event Managment quotes by Alice Miller
I like the creativity of planning a party, or cooking and taking care of people, creating a memorable meal or event. ~ Martina Mcbride
Event Managment quotes by Martina Mcbride
Try to picture this:
For the next few months, each day, You -being the only person remaining in an immense room (where a beautiful event was held, but you were not invited). And your only duty is to put in order all that room back in place, without guidance and without any assistance. You, completely alone. On your first few days, you let yourself get extremely curious and you admire the splendor and majesty of the immense room. From the paintings adorning the walls to each and every single piece of furniture. In the next few weeks, you start admiring the crystal glasses & plates. You even eat or taste what they left, the guests before you. You sit on each piece of furniture, and pretend to imagine yourself in that event… After a period of time, and repeating this same exact responsibility, you acquire a great facility in collecting and putting this same immense room in order; and consequently, with the remaining time that you have left, you begin to show more interest to what you can see from each window (that room no longer carries the same interest it once had on you). And you look forward to be out from it.

I am that huge room that shines and catches the attention of many. And you, you are that person who shares a private life with me, and who knows all my imperfections. Maybe it's often like this, and one gets bored of the room one lives in, even disgusted or weary - so you think you have to leave it behind… Leave it. Hope you had a good time till t ~ Efrat Cybulkiewicz
Event Managment quotes by Efrat Cybulkiewicz
One thing that I'm really interested in is the kind of esoteric detail that surrounds these great figures. And Wikipedia is full of that kind of stuff, whether it's true or untrue. It staggers me: why, in the short space assigned to a person or an event, that kind of random information is there. To be honest, that's wonderful fuel for songwriting. ~ Nick Cave
Event Managment quotes by Nick Cave
the truth of the event does not belong to the order of identificatory knowledge, as if our life's charge were to track down and learn the secret name of some fugitive spirit. ~ John D. Caputo
Event Managment quotes by John D. Caputo
A well-trained mind responded to symptoms.
An ordinary mind reacted after it happened. ~ Toba Beta
Event Managment quotes by Toba Beta
Changing Expectations by Estimating Probability

A step in correcting your inaccurate expectations is to figure out how likely it is that what you fear will occur. Here are four ways to estimate the probability of an event:

1.Remember past experiences. If you are afraid that no one will speak with you at the party, think about other parties you have attended. Have you ever been to a social gathering where no one spoke to you? Chances are that you probably have not.

2.Look at general rules. If you are worried about spilling something, look at your general experience with how people deal with spills. When someone else spilled, did everyone laugh and gossip about that person? Most likely, they didn't. Spills happen all the time, especially at parties where people are carrying food and drinks. The general rule about spills is that they are usually cleaned up quickly without much fuss.

3.Think about alternate explanations. What you expect is only one possibility. There are also many other possibilities for why something happens. For instance, if a friend from summer camp stops e-mailing you, you might think he or she has decided you are not a good friend. However, there are many other possibilities. He or she simply may be very busy or maybe he or she has forgotten that you wrote last.

4.Practice role reversal. This is one of the best methods for realizing how critical you are of yourself. Pretend that whatever you fear actuall ~ Heather Moehn
Event Managment quotes by Heather Moehn
Every year it changes, sometimes I'm good at the 50m, sometimes I'm terrible, it really depends. I'm still not sure what my best event is. ~ Tera Van Beilen
Event Managment quotes by Tera Van Beilen
Dad didn't believe in God, but he was a lifelong member of the Church of Shit or Get Off the Can. So his actual death itself was less an event than a final sad detail. ~ Jonathan Tropper
Event Managment quotes by Jonathan Tropper
I've never worried that a city would fall on me. It's not an event that I've lain awake woorying about, it's one of those fears you take as read. Sadly, a city was falling on me. ~ G.R. Matthews
Event Managment quotes by G.R. Matthews
But what is chance? What is genius?
The words chance and genius do not denote any really existing thing and therefore cannot be defined. Those words only denote a certain stage of understanding of phenomena. I do not know why a certain event occurs; I think that I cannot know it; so I do not try to know it and I talk about chance. I see a force producing effects beyond the scope of ordinary human agencies; I do not understand why this occurs and I talk of genius.
To a heard of rams, that ram the herdsman dries each evening into a special enclosure to feed, and that becomes twice as fat as the others, must seem to be a genius. ~ Leo Tolstoy
