Look out for Number One. If you don't, no one else will. ~ Arnold Rothstein
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by Arnold Rothstein
Killing children in kashmir is LEGAL while
Fighting for basic human rights is ILLEGAL.
I think it's time , all of us collectively did an introspection at what is RIGHT as Opposed to what is LEGAL. ~ BinYamin Gulzar
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by BinYamin Gulzar
I thought that you could hear all my unspoken words.....for I misunderstood the language of my own love was so intense and your ears were so brittle! ~ BinYamin Gulzar
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by BinYamin Gulzar
As long as they're willing to pay to prove it, I'm willing to let them. ~ Arnold Rothstein
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by Arnold Rothstein
Flip a coin. When it's in the air, you'll know which side you're hoping for. ~ Arnold Rothstein
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by Arnold Rothstein
For me not to be insane , I had to be either sedated by my " happy pill" or be activated by my hyper work mode. These were the only two responses my mind was known to react. Everything in between was a mundane distraction. A numb bliss , that annihilated everything rational that ever existed in my universe. ~ BinYamin Gulzar
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by BinYamin Gulzar
The thread of shattered hopes covered us with the masquerade of betrayal. As always we will start picking up the pieces of our worthless life, scattered over the last 150 days in the hope of deliverance. With so many of us blinded for life ,some of us taken away for life all together, (you broke your promise once again), And I shall close the eyes of my conscience so that I don't introspect about the distrust,
long term suffering we will have to endure ,for we will always remain the nation of the suppressed!

Promises and lies!! ~ BinYamin Gulzar
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by BinYamin Gulzar
Musical myths speak with authority about our society, its fragility, its strengths, its desires, and its limits. Music becomes a wise version of the utopian messenger, pleasing us with his account of an ideal land but also warning us, in his tones, of all the dangers. ~ Edward Rothstein
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by Edward Rothstein
The self centred disregard for anything living outside of me , is pure solipsism. One may feel the world is pure evil but its " I " who filters the thought through "my "own un - coping mind, seeking complete annihilation of the world for my own self relief ! ~ BinYamin Gulzar
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by BinYamin Gulzar
Life is a solitary confinement ,
Every second is a punishment
- of a crime , that was never committed ,
Or perhaps,
- the biggest crime of my age , is the silence of the soul.

You suffer silently
- as a sacrificial lamb to be slaughtered
- for a cause that is greater than your own existence !
They label you as a hero ,
- a super human with super human strength .

Yes , indeed .
The wars you fight every day
- every moment with your demons , and of course the price of being a hero !
Solitude ,
- A gift from god
- A curse on your own self. ~ BinYamin Gulzar
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by BinYamin Gulzar
She hates me and you hate me, but you all love Harry. Nobody loves me. ~ Arnold Rothstein
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by Arnold Rothstein
My first name, Benjamin, dates back a thousand years earlier to Benjamin - Binyamin - the son of Jacob, who was also known as Israel. Jacob and his 12 sons roamed these same hills of Judea and Sumeria 4,000 years ago, and there's been a continuous Jewish presence in the land ever since. ~ Benjamin Netanyahu
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by Benjamin Netanyahu
By sheer faith the walls of Jericho had fallen , after they were encompassed for about seven days, while,we weren't able to achieve the " so called " attainable freedom of mind ,within 7 prolonged months !

The question is , do we have the faith alive in us or alike everything tangible ,we lost it somewhere while creating a momentary deception amongst us ? ~ BinYamin Gulzar
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by BinYamin Gulzar
The cruel truth exposes the ugly side of us so deeply that we find solace in the last defence hiding behind the facade of our insanity. ~ BinYamin Gulzar
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by BinYamin Gulzar
The story of declining school quality across the twentieth century is, for the most part, a fable, says social scientist Richard Rothstein, whose book The Way We Were? cites a series of similar attacks on American education, moving backward one decade at a time.3 Each generation invokes the good old days, during which, we discover, people had been doing exactly the same thing. ~ Alfie Kohn
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by Alfie Kohn
Dragging ourselves through the slides of pseudo reality , I have seen (us) craving for that " fix".

Glued to the small screens ,
Alike an "event horizon" ,
transporting us to other dimension ,
contemplating likes !
Obsessed with over cropped out images of our ex lovers lover,
Self contemplating and filtered obsession ,
who is getting fat and who all broke their back ,
Look at my carefully orchestrated life!
Ain't I clever ???

Look ,how much fun I had in the party!
.....look at how well liked I am .?!

I want all my 5000 fake friends to know that this is what fun is and I swear, I am ,having a good time!!! ~ BinYamin Gulzar
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by BinYamin Gulzar
He was exhausted ,tired to his core ,
The 'weight' of the world was crushing his soul!
He carried so much ,
Within him , for so so long .

"Beast of burden" - that's what he was!

His rugged face filled with battle scars
That only 'he' could feel
The "smile" he wore was a 'helmet' ...

Waiting for his breath to escape for good
Praying for his final relief. ~ BinYamin Gulzar
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by BinYamin Gulzar
I am so lost in the lost road ,
I chose this on my own ,
I emptied all that I had ,
All that I have left within ,
is emptiness - a void that refuses to fill.

How can I be alone in a room ,filled with a million souls ?
How can I stay hungry after feeding hundreds of homes ?
How ?
Is this the pain of letting go and raising towards transcendence
- Where I leave all my worldly pleasures and seek union with the One ?
-Or is it a bout of lucidity , that I am all by myself , carrying on ,
paying for the sins of others and living "BUT" for myself....
-an everyday stagmata where the pain is so numb, that the the body ceases to exist ? ~ BinYamin Gulzar
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by BinYamin Gulzar
One of the things is that the good intentions of Prohibition, from reading over the years and from becoming obsessed with the research of gangs in New York City, seems to have allowed crime figures at the time, like Luciano, Capone, Torrio and Rothstein, to organize to become more powerful, which pulled all the way through until the '70s. ~ Martin Scorsese
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by Martin Scorsese
I'm a Kashmiri ,
I live in a rogue place.
I'm surrounded by conformist ,
boot licking ,
people pleasing "herd"!

People
Safely cocooned in their stereotypical conformist lives,
maintaining status quo ,
they make generic responses
expecting generic answers!

For someone with an alien mentality like 'mine' ,
I am an out cast !
But it's 'them' who are the eerie one ,
like the deadly malignant tumour
feeding on its own people ,
A parasite,
growing inside the system!

Superficial faces ,
powdered with lies and deceit ;
people ,
like controlled robots,
In love with their own ignorance !! ~ BinYamin Gulzar
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by BinYamin Gulzar
Somehow, I had the feeling that I was responsible for Harry being dead. I remembered all the times that I wished he were dead, all the times I had dreamed of killing him. I got to thinking that maybe my wishing had finally killed him. ~ Arnold Rothstein
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by Arnold Rothstein
Over the past few decades we have developed euphemisms to help us forget how we, as a nation, have segregated African American citizens. We have become embarrassed about saying "ghetto", a word that accurately describes a neighborhood where government has not only concentrated a minority but established barriers to its exit. We don't hesitate to acknowledge that Jews in eastern Europe were forced to live in ghettos where opportunity was limited and leaving was difficult or impossible. Yet when we encounter similar neighborhoods in this country, we now delicately refer to them as "the inner city", yet everyone knows what we mean. When affluent whites gentrify the same geographic areas, we don't characterize those whites as "inner city families". Before we became ashamed to admit that the country had circumscribed African Americans in ghettos, analysts of race relations, both African American and white, consistently and accurately used "ghetto" to describe low-income African American neighborhoods created by public policy, with a shortage of opportunity, and with barriers to exit. ~ Richard Rothstein
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by Richard Rothstein
Photography is a universal language, transcending the boundaries of race, politics, and nationality. ~ Arthur Rothstein
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by Arthur Rothstein
There's only so much you can teach a person until you reach the limits of his capabilities. ~ Arnold Rothstein
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by Arnold Rothstein
I prefer to make my living honestly. ~ Arnold Rothstein
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by Arnold Rothstein
It is sometimes desirable to distort or accentuate with lenses of various focal lengths ... Deliberate distortion may actually add to its reality. ~ Arthur Rothstein
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by Arthur Rothstein
...and it's that time of the day when the fatigue sets in.
No, not the physical type of fatigue that goes with a stretching of limbs
or a session in my sauna ~
which in fact is sparkling signifying it's existence for sheer aesthetics rather that practical use!
It was that mental fatigue ,
when my soul was exhausted and weary;
that I needed a shot of Gatorade;
just to calm my nerves,
stopping me from hallucinations
and let me fall asleep! ~ BinYamin Gulzar
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by BinYamin Gulzar
Am I brave enough? What is brave? Is bravery counted by the medals, proudly on display on a soldier's uniform or is it in laying down your life for something bigger than yourself. Is bravery in holding tight or letting go? For some, bravery is in standing against the world for your Principle …. For me bravery is living each day of my life for the sake of something greater than myself. ~ BinYamin Gulzar
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by BinYamin Gulzar
It may be that the best we can hope for when it comes to utopias is that they be held at arm's length and regarded as aesthetic constructions, in which various proportions are neatly worked out, contradictions eliminated, and outside intrusions minimized. They are fictions, artifacts of culture. And we should be wary if they ever become much more. ~ Edward Rothstein
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by Edward Rothstein
In the stillness of my mind , I surrender to a place I call "my own"....Where everything that I see ,is real ,and every thing that I don't ,doesn't exist!

Yet , in that very stillness I find my mind drifting in search of solace and when I open my eyes ,I find myself in the Elysian Fields of my existence ! ~ BinYamin Gulzar
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by BinYamin Gulzar
Divergent thinking is almost always seen as a gift rather than an acquired and developed skill. But this is far from the truth: divergent thinking is a distinct form of higher-order thinking that can be taught to all ages of students. ~ Dan Rothstein
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by Dan Rothstein
According to Bartholomew, an important goal of St. Louis zoning was to prevent movement into 'finer residential districts . . . by colored people.' He noted that without a previous zoning law, such neighborhoods have become run-down, 'where values have depreciated, homes are either vacant or occupied by color people.' The survey Bartholomew supervised before drafting the zoning ordinance listed the race of each building's occupants. Bartholomew attempted to estimate where African Americans might encroach so the commission could respond with restrictions to control their spread.

The St. Louis zoning ordinance was eventually adopted in 1919, two years after the Supreme Court's Buchanan ruling banned racial assignments; with no reference to race, the ordinance pretended to be in compliance. Guided by Bartholomew's survey, it designated land for future industrial development if it was in or adjacent to neighborhoods with substantial African American populations.

Once such rules were in force, plan commission meetings were consumed with requests for variances. Race was frequently a factor. For example, on meeting in 1919 debated a proposal to reclassify a single-family property from first-residential to commercial because the area to the south had been 'invaded by negroes.' Bartholomew persuaded the commission members to deny the variance because, he said, keeping the first-residential designation would preserve homes in the area as unaffordable to African Am ~ Richard Rothstein
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by Richard Rothstein
The more money the louder it talks. ~ Arnold Rothstein
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by Arnold Rothstein
It is a rare photographer who can take a detached, cold-blooded view of his work. ~ Arthur Rothstein
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by Arthur Rothstein
And then the very next day it was a weekend and every one forgot about the little boy who was 7 feet under for the price he paid to be born in the land of infidels , and life as always ....carried on with the stench of dead conscience . Period ~ BinYamin Gulzar
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by BinYamin Gulzar
Anyone who'd sell out a whole town wouldn't hesitate to double-cross one man. ~ Arnold Rothstein
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by Arnold Rothstein
60 days of hyper delirium. 60 days of insatiable pain and we are, where we were! . The cruel fact is that the truth exposes the ugly side of us so deeply, that we find solace in the last defence hiding behind the carefree facade of this never-ending insanity. ~ BinYamin Gulzar
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by BinYamin Gulzar
Losing the plot again to the rhetoric called "Azadi".
Trapped in a "Status quo"of fragmented reality , we eroded the seeds to our future.(yet again).
Somehow (I) forgot that -
Actions have consequences. Non actions have "deadly " consequences too & turning blind eye to something so obvious will eventually produce the generation of "vision less society". (Literally and figuratively). ~ BinYamin Gulzar
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by BinYamin Gulzar
If a man is dumb, someone is going to get the best of him, so why not you? If you don't, you're as dumb as he is. ~ Arnold Rothstein
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by Arnold Rothstein
The pain makes you so numb,
At times, you feel as if you are hallucinating,
Seeing things happen to you as if it were happening to someone else like an " out of body experience".

How could life be so cruel?

Is this what perseverance and enduring pain is all about;I ask myself ?
Somehow I have made myself believe that
" jumping off the cliff " or
" drowning myself "
would do nothing to ease this "pain " ! this " numbness "!
Seeing my loved one suffer after I am "gone" , I guess ,will make me more and more anxious ;
Angry "ghosts " don't make good " providers" , I assume.
So I carry on ..
I carry on every day .
It's a weight I have ...
It makes my heart sink to the bottomless pit ,
But
Then again,
a man like me; a giver & a man with no choice has " literally" no choice" but to " live with this hollowed numb"! ~ BinYamin Gulzar
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by BinYamin Gulzar
Our freedom walk is adorned by the schools that we have burned, embellished by the eyes that no longer see and haunted by the wails of half widows that we left to be damned! Let go. Be free. ~ BinYamin Gulzar
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by BinYamin Gulzar
someone like him, is the island of exile where most teenagers go to wait until childhood becomes adulthood. What you need to see - what Rothstein finally saw, although it took him three books to do it - is that most of us become everyone. ~ Stephen King
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by Stephen King
De facto segregation, we tell ourselves, has various causes. when African Americans moved into a neighborhood like Ferguson, a few racially prejudiced white families decided to leave, and then as the number of black families grew, the neighborhood deteriorated, and "white flight" followed. Real estate agents steered whites away from black neighborhoods, and blacks away from white ones. Banks discriminated with "redlining," refusing to give mortgages to African Americans or extracting unusually severe terms from them with subprime loans. African Americans haven't generally gotten the educations that would enable them to earn sufficient incomes to live in white suburbs, and, as a result, many remain concentrated in urban neighborhoods. Besides, black families prefer to live with one another.

All this has some truth, but it remains a small part of the truth, submerged by a far more important one: until the last quarter of the twentieth century, racially explicit policies of federal, state, and local governments defined where whites and African Americans should live. Today's residential segregation in the North, South, Midwest, and West is not the unintended consequence of individual choices and of otherwise well-meaning law or regulation but of unhidden public policy that explicitly segregated every metropolitan area in the United States. The policy was so systematic and forceful that its effects endure to the present time. Without our government's purposeful impositi ~ Richard Rothstein
Binyamin Rothstein quotes by Richard Rothstein
The greed manifests us in many shapes,
The high rise building,
a big house ,
deforestation,
no land to grow and
no land to feed our own,
Our very own People !

The money was deadly than any plague,
People bought and sold people
like a commodity !
and then ,
They divided us ,
according to our flawed faith.....
The stench of ignorance fills the air,
nestling at the base of our cortex .

I refuse to be conquered !

The agenda was all clear from the start,
Prospect of the land;
they would rather see us disappear,
Sold for seventy five lac a 100 years back,
It's seventy five million wounds and every day to cry !!

We are a " numb nation "
We are a " slave nation "
&
I refuse to be conquered !!! ~ BinYamin Gulzar
