That first regression opened up a whole other world for me that I have since been able to share with many clients over the years for their healing or for pleasure. The lessons I have received from my clients cannot go unmentioned; the most valuable of which is to never assume anything. ~ Barbara Ford-Hammond
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Barbara Ford-Hammond
There was an assumption that I was personally attacking Sarah Palin by impersonating her on TV. No one ever said it was 'mean' when Chevy Chase played Gerald Ford falling down all the time. No one ever accused Dana Carvey or Darrell Hammond or Dan Aykroyd of 'going too far' in their political impressions. You see what I'm getting at here. I am not mean and Mrs. Palin is not fragile. To imply otherwise is a disservice to us both. ~ Tina Fey
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Tina Fey
I'd love to sit down with Barbara Walters. She's always asking people about their personal lives. I'd like to see how she likes it. ~ Susan Ford
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Susan Ford
I think 'Indiana Jones' was a lot of fun to do because of the places we went to and the adventures and the action. But Han Solo was also a huge part of my life. ~ Harrison Ford
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Harrison Ford
Yes, life has to go on, and I suppose a cup of tea does make it seem to be doing that more than anything. ~ Barbara Pym
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Barbara Pym
The nostalgic notion of the family orchards is lovely - all that wholesome fruit for our forebears to sit on the back steps biting into - but basically we were growing it to drink. ~ Barbara Holland
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Barbara Holland
Why is it that you have to warn people about who you are? ~ Michael Thomas Ford
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Michael Thomas Ford
Barbara Eden is the most beautiful girl in the world. ~ Larry Hagman
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Larry Hagman
Liberality in gifts and expenditure which, since his followers lived off it, was extolled as the most admired attribute of a noble. ~ Barbara W. Tuchman
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Barbara W. Tuchman
If you are dissatisfied with they way things are, then you have got to resolve to change them. ~ Barbara Jordan
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Barbara Jordan
If you're going to have a character appear in a story long enough to sell a newspaper, he'd better be real enough that you can smell his breath. ~ Ford Madox Ford
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Ford Madox Ford
Like so many things Henry had wanted in life
like his father, his marriage, his life
it had arrived a little damaged. Imperfect. But he didn't care, this was all he'd wanted. Something to hope for, and he'd found it. It didn't matter what condition it was in. ~ Jamie Ford
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Jamie Ford
My work has always been important to me. The reason I continue to do it is because it's so much fun for me. I love my work and so that's what keeps me in the game. ~ Harrison Ford
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Harrison Ford
As a matter of fact, that was a bit of a problem for me at the beginning of my career - the problem of identification. In The Conversation I played a character who was gay, so nobody recognised me from American Graffiti. When I did Apocalypse Now, after Star Wars, I played an intelligence officer of the American army. George Lucas saw the footage I had done and didn't recognise me until halfway through the scene. ~ Harrison Ford
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Harrison Ford
Six pints of bitter, said Ford Prefect. And quickly please, the world's about to end. ~ Douglas Adams
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Douglas Adams
It is very much easier for a rich man to invest and grow richer than for the poor man to begin investing at all. And this is also true of nations. ~ Barbara Ward, Baroness Jackson Of Lodsworth
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Barbara Ward, Baroness Jackson Of Lodsworth
People who were raised on The Bible can never tell the difference between a warning and an advertisement. ~ George Hammond
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by George Hammond
As for his sudden change of heart, he had suddenly remembered the end of Mansfield Park, and how Edmund fell out of love with Mary Crawford and came to care for Fanny. Dulcie must surely know the novel well, and would understand how such things can happen. ~ Barbara Pym
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Barbara Pym
Keep your jacket buttoned. Always. It's just really flattering - it will take pounds off you. ~ Tom Ford
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Tom Ford
Ford has one last piece of advice for anyone who's reading his or her first commentary for NPR: "Bring a camera so you can take pictures of the studio, since God knows this stuff doesn't happen to you every day." Commentary ~ Jonathan Kern
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Jonathan Kern
Perhaps there can be too much making of cups of tea, I thought, as I watched Miss Statham filling the heavy teapot. Did we really need a cup of tea? I even said as much to Miss Statham and she looked at me with a hurt, almost angry look, 'Do we need tea? she echoed. 'But Miss Lathbury ... ' She sounded puzzled and distressed and I began to realise that my question had struck at something deep and fundamental. It was the kind of question that starts a landslide in the mind. I mumbled something about making a joke and that of course one needed tea always, at every hour of the day or night. ~ Barbara Pym
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Barbara Pym
Avis Budget, recognising the emerging threat, spent $500m last year buying Zipcar, the world's largest example of a "car club", a form of sharing in which vehicles are parked on the streets and users can rent them, using a swipe-card, by the hour. In theory, the giant hire firms are well-placed to operate the car-club model: conventional rentals peak during the week, whereas club-car use peaks at weekends, so they can achieve high utilisation rates by shifting cars between the two services. Car clubs and other forms of sharing are proving especially attractive to young drivers. That is encouraging the carmakers to return to a business they have dabbled in before (Hertz has been owned by both Ford and GM; and GM once part-owned Avis). ~ Anonymous

Every important choice we make is being guided by one of two places: either it is an act of faith or it is an act of fear. Faith opens the door to a new future. ~ Debbie Ford
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Debbie Ford
Our help does not come from Washington, but from ourselves. ~ Henry Ford
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Henry Ford
I remember my mother saying to me on one occasion, 'Mel, I know that I can count on you.' I resolved that she would always be able to count on me. I would not let her down. I loved her too much. Her confidence in me meant everything. Today I still feel that way. I feel that way about the Brethren. I don't ever want to let President Hinckley or any of the other leaders of the Church down. But, even more important, I never want to let the Savior down, because I love Him more than anything else. ~ F. Melvin Hammond
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by F. Melvin Hammond
Positive thinking is just one small part of positive psychology. Plus, as an approach to well-being, positive thinking only helps you to the extent that it yields one or more positive emotions. The problem with positive thinking is that it sometimes just stays up "in the head" and fails to drip down to become a fully embodied experience. ~ Barbara Fredrickson
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Barbara Fredrickson
Most of what's known about religious practices in pre-Hispanic Mexico has come to us through a Catholic parish priest named Hernando Ruiz de Alarcón, one of the few who ever became fluent in the Nahuatl language. He spent the 1620s writing his "Treatise on the Superstitions and Heathen Customs that Today Live Among the Indians Native to This New Spain". He'd originally meant it to be something of a "field guide to the heathens" to help priests recognize and exterminate indigenous religious rites and their practitioners. In the process of his documentation, though, it's clear from his writings that Father Ruiz de Alarcón grew sympathetic. He was particularly fascinated with how Nahuatl people celebrated the sacred in ordinary objects, and encouraged living and spirit realities to meet up in the here and now. He noted that the concept of "death" as an ending did not exactly exist for them. When Aztec people left their bodies, they were presumed to be on an exciting trip through the ether. It wasn't something to cry about, except that the living still wanted to visit with them. People's sadness was not for the departed, but for themselves, and could be addressed through ritual visiting called Xantolo, an ordinary communion between the dead and the living. Mexican tradition still holds that Xantolo is always present in certain places and activities, including marigold fields, the cultivation of corn, the preparation of tamales and pan de muerto. Interestingly, farmers' markets ar ~ Barbara Kingsolver
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Barbara Kingsolver
I think people who are compelled to achieve never really think they've achieved ... I think the moment you get to a place when you think 'Oh I'm a fashion legend' then that's when you're no longer competitive in your field. ~ Tom Ford
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Tom Ford
When newspapers started to publish the box office scores of movies, I was horrified. Those results are totally fake because they never include the promotion budget. ~ Francis Ford Coppola
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Francis Ford Coppola
War was ... the chief or maybe the only source of patriotism, and many a politician, from prehistory up to this morning, unified a discontented citizenry by pointing out a national danger and declaring war on it. ~ Barbara Holland
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Barbara Holland
Home development is about wishful thinking. It's about capturing a dream. ~ Barbara Delinsky
Barbara Ford Hammond quotes by Barbara Delinsky
Poor thing, thought Garnett, to have to commit yourself so hard to one moment of poor judgment. ~ Barbara Kingsolver
