In the end, He's the only reason that I made it. Sometimes that's the only thing we have. Whether you call it God, or hope, or faith -whatever word you use- the fact is, I couldn't have survived if I hadn't believed in something. It was the one part of me that neither Warren nor Allen could touch, and no matter what happens, as long as I have that, I've won. ~ Elissa Wall
Stolen Innocence quotes by Elissa Wall
She was stolen innocence, following the rules of monsters. Somewhere along the way, she'd become one. ~ Pam Godwin
Stolen Innocence quotes by Pam Godwin
It is a pure soul who can hold true the innocence and timelessness of passion in another soul. Each unveiling the greatest pieces of the other, locked together at the heart for eternity ~ Christine Zolendz
Stolen Innocence quotes by Christine Zolendz
It is sometimes asserted that a surgical operation is or should be a work of art ... fit to rank with those of the painter or sculptor ... That proposition does not admit of discussion. It is a product of the intellectual innocence which I think we surgeons may fairly claim to possess, and which is happily not inconsistent with a quite adequate worldly wisdom. ~ Wilfred Trotter
Stolen Innocence quotes by Wilfred Trotter
You know what I miss the most about my youth? My gullibility. It's nice believing in everything and everyone. It makes you feel secure, but be strong and depend more on yourself and you'll be ready for disappointments. That's the best advice I can offer you. ~ V.C. Andrews
Stolen Innocence quotes by V.C. Andrews
White and shining virgin of all human virtues, ark of the covenant between earth and heaven, tender and strong companion partaking of the lion and of the lamb, Prayer! Prayer will give you the key of heaven! Bold and pure as innocence, strong, like all that is single and simple, this glorious, invincible Queen rests, nevertheless, on the material world; she takes possession of it; like the sun, she clasps it in a circle of light. ~ Honore De Balzac
Stolen Innocence quotes by Honore De Balzac
What you complain of in yourself, comprises the best marks of grace I can offer. A sense of unworthiness and weakness, joined with a hope in the Savior, constitutes the character of a Christian in this world. But you want the witness of the Spirit. What do you mean by this? Is it a whisper or a voice from heaven, to encourage you to believe that you may venture to hope that the promises of God are true, that he means what he says, and is able to make his word good? Your eyes are opened, you are weary of sin, you love the way of salvation yourself, and love to point it out to others, you are devoted to God, to his cause and people. It was not so with you once. Either you have somewhere stolen these blessings, or you have received them from the Holy Spirit. ~ Tony Reinke
Stolen Innocence quotes by Tony Reinke
I want to talk about the internet, the impact it is having on the innocence of our children, how online pornography is corroding childhood and how, in the darkest corners of the internet, there are things going on that are a direct danger to our children, and that must be stamped out. ~ David Cameron
Stolen Innocence quotes by David Cameron
I cupped her chin and tilted it back, deepening the kiss, wanting to somehow claim her very soul. Funny thing was, it was my soul that was being claimed, my breath that was being stolen, and my heart that was pounding crazy fast in my chest. ~ Jennifer L. Armentrout
Stolen Innocence quotes by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Pierrot. How . . . odd for you. You're much more the Harlequin, I should think.'
'I've always thought that Pierrot was the secretly dangerous one,' Myrnin said. 'All that
innocence must hide something.'
Bishop laughed. 'I've missed you, fool.'
'Truly? Odd. I haven't missed you at all, my lord.'
That stopped Bishop's laughter in its tracks, and Claire felt the fear close around her, like
suffocating cold. 'Ah, I remember now why you ceased to amuse, Myrnin. You use
honesty like a club.'
'I thought it more like a rapier, lord. ~ Rachel Caine
Stolen Innocence quotes by Rachel Caine
Rosemary bubbled with delight at the trunks. Her naivete responded whole-heartedly to the expensive simplicity of the Divers, unaware of its complexity and its lack of innocence, unaware that it was all a selection of quality rather than quantity from the run of the world's bazaar; and that the simplicity of behavior also, the nursery-like peace and good will, the emphasis on the simpler virtues, was part of a desperate bargain with the gods and had been attained through struggles she could not have guessed at. ~ F Scott Fitzgerald
Stolen Innocence quotes by F Scott Fitzgerald
In some way, a photo is like a stolen kiss. In fact a kiss is always stolen, even if the woman is consenting. With a photograph it's the same: always stolen, and still slightly consenting. ~ Edouard Boubat
Stolen Innocence quotes by Edouard Boubat
C, it was like my breath was stolen. My heart seemed to merge with yours. When you came into my life, all I wanted was you. All I thought about was you. Your smile, your laugh, your lips, and your eyes seemed to hold me captive."

~Tru~ ~ J.L. Clayton
Stolen Innocence quotes by J.L. Clayton
There is no aphrodisiac like innocence ~ Jean Baudrillard
Stolen Innocence quotes by Jean Baudrillard
Of course no one will consider," said Anisim, and he heaved a sigh. "There is no God, anyway, you know, mamma, so what considering can there be?"
Varvara looked at him with surprise, burst out laughing, and clasped her hands. Perhaps because she was so genuinely surprised at his words and looked at him as though he were a queer person, he was confused.
"Perhaps there is a God, only there is no faith. When I was being married I was not myself. Just as you may take an egg from under a hen and there is a chicken chirping in it, so my conscience was beginning to chirp in me, and while I was being married I thought all the time there was a God! But when I left the church it was nothing. And indeed, how can I tell whether there is a God or not? We are not taught right from childhood, and while the babe is still at his mother's breast he is only taught 'every man to his own job.' Father does not believe in God, either. You were saying that Guntorev had some sheep stolen.... I have found them; it was a peasant at Shikalovo stole them; he stole them, but father's got the fleeces ... so that's all his faith amounts to. ~ Anton Chekhov
Stolen Innocence quotes by Anton Chekhov
I had trouble putting the book down - at least, it was very hard to do whenever I was forced to by other obligations. I received it in the mail on a Thursday and finished it that following Sunday night (this is FAST for me, given everything else I have on my plate).

Anyway, this book is amazing - I was quite literally floored by the information it contained as it was stuff I hadn't heard about due to selective (heavily slanted against Jackson) media coverage at the time.

I was like a lot of people back then . . . I thought that MJ might have very well been guilty of the accusations and I remember feeling a bit annoyed that he "got off" when the jury found him not guilty.

Well, since then I have realized that my knowledge of all the facts of the case (as well as the 1993 allegations) was sorely lacking and I've done a complete about-face with regard to Michael Jackson.

It's clear to me now that the "accusers" were a bunch of frauds (I do recall feeling a bit skeptical about them at the time but didn't explore those suspicions further, as I was also doubtful about Jackson's innocence). When the testimony and facts are taken into consideration it becomes glaringly obvious that Michael Jackson was an innocent man who was taken advantage of on numerous occasions.

Stolen Innocence quotes by
Moisture and greeness have to do with innocence, love, heart, feelings and tears. All of the [fluids] in our body become moist when we are moved-we cry, we lubricate, we bleed, all of the numinous experiences of our bodies have to do with moisture. And it's moisture that brings life to this planet, that is the cure for the desert experience and the cure for aridness. ~ Jean Shinoda Bolen
Stolen Innocence quotes by Jean Shinoda Bolen
The artist's knowledge of his own creative nature is often unconscious; he pursues his mysterious way of life in a strange innocence. ~ Dorothy L. Sayers
Stolen Innocence quotes by Dorothy L. Sayers
But sometimes when things go very wrong and even the highest are frightened, innocence is not enough for salvation. ~ Tad Williams
Stolen Innocence quotes by Tad Williams
But, it never dawned on me how wrong it was that I tied her innocence to the fact that she was with me, not who she was, and I am humbled by my ignorance. ~ Cassie Dandridge Selleck
Stolen Innocence quotes by Cassie Dandridge Selleck
Roark stood before them as each man stands in the innocence of his own mind. But Roark stood like that before a hostile crowd - and they knew suddenly that no hatred was possible to him. ~ Ayn Rand
Stolen Innocence quotes by Ayn Rand
He was the devil, but she didn't care. On some level she even knew he was using her own body against her, pitting her innocence against his experience, but she didn't care about that, either. She wanted to leap into the fire with both feet, arms wide, eyes open. She knew his world might be something she would have a difficult time accepting, but he was worth it. ~ Christine Feehan
Stolen Innocence quotes by Christine Feehan
I am surely miserable, and misery is a rainstorm. But this moment is an umbrella, a singular thing, a contained thing, a stolen thing, a world infinite in itself. ~ Delilah S. Dawson
Stolen Innocence quotes by Delilah S. Dawson
To be a writer you need to see things as they are, and to see things as they are you need a certain basic innocence. ~ Tobias Wolff
Stolen Innocence quotes by Tobias Wolff
To behold Queen Gwenhwyvar and the Lady of the Lake together was to peer too long into the sun's brilliant dazzle, to feel the heart lurch in the breast for yearning, to have the words stolen from the tongue before the lips could speak them. ~ Stephen R. Lawhead
Stolen Innocence quotes by Stephen R. Lawhead
Meditation is the art of cleaning your mirror from all the dust that the society, the religion, the educational system has poured on you, to take away everything that has not been born with you, to bring you to your absolute innocence as you were born as a child. ~ Rajneesh
Stolen Innocence quotes by Rajneesh
She has committed no crime, she has merely broken a rigid and time-honored code of our society, a code so severe that whoever breaks it is hounded from our midst as unfit to live with. She is the victim of cruel poverty and ignorance, but I cannot pity her: she is white. She knew full well the enormity of her offense, but because her desires were stronger than the code she was breaking, she persisted in breaking it. She persisted, and her subsequent reaction is something that all of us have known at one time or another. She did something every child has done-she tried to put the evidence of her offense away from her. But in this case she was no child hiding stolen contraband: she struck out at her victim-of necessity she must put him away from her-he must be removed from her presence, from this world. She must destroy the evidence of her offense. ~ Harper Lee
Stolen Innocence quotes by Harper Lee
I would certainly say that films like Time Code and the Loss of Sexual Innocence were far more rewarding to me in terms of being able to move forward as a filmmaker. ~ Mike Figgis
Stolen Innocence quotes by Mike Figgis
The whole room is as black as pitch. In fact, I'm not at all sure that it is a room. Something suggests to me now that I'm on board ship; I might be floating adrift on some tranquil sea. And yet there's no sound, no motion, nothing to indicate either sea or land. Like a ghost train my life streams through my head, and I don't know which point of the compass I'm facing. How dark it is. The moon must have stolen away secretly. ~ Anna Kavan
Stolen Innocence quotes by Anna Kavan
It began as a flicker in her mind. Just a glint in a place still ruled by childish thoughts and fantasies. Yet that single spark ignited something, and the ensuing flame rushed forth with such speed and intensity that she was momentarily frightened it would swallow her whole. But there was no fighting it. It indeed devoured her, as well as everything else in its path. In the brief passage of an instant, the young girl's tiny form was filled to the brim with brilliant, searing, blinding rage. ~ Obie Williams
Stolen Innocence quotes by Obie Williams
Heinrich Heine once imagined the exiled Israelite as a dog who regains his stolen manhood only when he embraces the Sabbath bride. I see western swing performing a similar function in hardscrabble Texas, turning dirt-poor hired hands into Dapper Dans with magic feet at the Saturday night hoe-down. ~ Clive Sinclair
Stolen Innocence quotes by Clive Sinclair
The innocent must not suffer. ~ Agatha Christie
Stolen Innocence quotes by Agatha Christie
She was reserved and cold, as if having been stolen from her native village in a burlap sack and made to be servant and helpmate to an Englishman many years her senior, for some reasons sat poorly with her. ~ Ben H. Winters
Stolen Innocence quotes by Ben H. Winters
That's what innocence is, you know. A blissful oblivion of what's coming, of what you'll lose and what you'll gain, and what kind of person you'll grow up to be. ~ Laura Wiess
Stolen Innocence quotes by Laura Wiess
Scout- .. Uncle Jack?"

Uncle Jack- "Ma'am?"

Scout- "What's a whore-lady? ~ Harper Lee
Stolen Innocence quotes by Harper Lee
The more I know you, the more I wonder who you are." He counted off her qualities on his fingers. "You have the accent of a lady. You dress like a peasant. You shoot like a marksman. You view the world cynically, yet you venerate Miss Victorine. Your face and body would be the envy of a young goddess, yet you sport an air of innocence. And that innocence hides a criminal mind and the cheek to pull off the most outrageous of felonies."
"So I'm Athena, the goddess of war."
"Definitely not Diana, the goddess of virginity."
As the last shot hit home, he saw Amy's mask slip. Blood rushed to her face. She bit her lip and looked toward the stairs as if only now realizing she could have - should have - left this whole discussion behind.
He laughed softly, triumphantly. "Or perhaps I'm mistaken. Perhaps you have more in common with Diana than I thought."
"Pray remember, sir, that Diana was also the goddess of the hunt." Amy leaned across the table, intent on making her point - but the blush still played across her cheeks. "She carried a bow and arrow, and she always bagged her quarry. Have a look at the bullet hole in the rock behind you and remember my skill and my cynicism. For we do know things about each other. I know that if you escape, you'll make sure I'm hung from a gibbet. You know that if I catch you escaping, I'll shoot you through the heart. Remember that as you cast longing glances toward the window." With a flourish, she picked up the breakfast t ~ Christina Dodd
Stolen Innocence quotes by Christina Dodd
The time has come to reclaim the stolen harvest and celebrate the growing and giving of good food as the highest gift and the most revolutionary act. ~ Vandana Shiva
Stolen Innocence quotes by Vandana Shiva
...One cannot help but consider the future- what will it be like when all the wild places of the earth have been taken over by civilization, and there is no more room for Indians, Pirates, and Wild Boys? ~ Christopher Daniel Mechling
Stolen Innocence quotes by Christopher Daniel Mechling
I miss the innocence of your childish sweet smile
and your gentle, knowing touch.

I remember bright and shining, curious eyes
and the happy smiles so much.

I sometimes think of the noise you made as you playfully chased through the house those days.

I miss the things I miss when nothing else moves the pain.

I wish I did not miss you so much. I wish…the things I wish...could all be wished away. ~ Ursula Denise Walker
Stolen Innocence quotes by Ursula Denise Walker
I DON'T WANT TO REPEAT MY INNOCENCE.
I JUST WANT THE PLEASURE OF LOSING IT AGAIN."

Excerpt From: Kunze, Lauren. "The Ivy." HarperCollins. iBooks. F Scott Fitzgerald ~ Lauren Kunze
Stolen Innocence quotes by Lauren Kunze
The indescribable innocence and beneficence of Nature-of sun and wind and rain, of summer and winter-such health, such cheer, they afford forever! and such sympathy have they ever with our race, that all Nature would be affected, and the sun's brightness fade, and the winds would sigh humanely, and the clouds rain tears, and the woods shed their leaves and put on mourning in midsummer, if anyone should ever for a just cause grieve. Shall I not have intelligence with the earth? Am I not partly leaves and vegetable mould myself? ~ Henry David Thoreau
Stolen Innocence quotes by Henry David Thoreau
You cannot let the darkness overcome the light. ~ Melissa De La Cruz
Stolen Innocence quotes by Melissa De La Cruz
No sense in no sense innocence of what of not and what of delight. In no sense innocence in no sense and what in delight and not, in no sense innocence in no sense no sense what, in no sense and delight, and in no sense and delight and not in no sense and delight and not, no sense in no sense innocence and delight. ~ Gertrude Stein
Stolen Innocence quotes by Gertrude Stein
People, in general, tend to project onto others their own state of mind. Well-meaning people inevitably assume other people are well meaning. People who cheat assume everyone cheats. People who deceive assume everybody deceives.
Confessions of a Whistle-Blower: Lessons Anna C. Salter. Ethics & Behavior, Volume 8, Issue 2 June 1998 ~ Anna C. Salter
Stolen Innocence quotes by Anna C. Salter
In an ordinary crime, how does one defend the accused? One calls up witnesses to prove his innocence. But witchcraft is ipso facto, on its face and by its nature an invisible crime, is it not? The witch and the victim. None other. Now we cannot hope the witch will accuse herself; granted? Therefore, we must rely upon her victims - and they do testify, the children certainly do testify. ~ Arthur Miller
Stolen Innocence quotes by Arthur Miller
[Bloodraven] fingered the cloth, marveling at the tightness of the weave. The things that the men of the lowlands were capable of never ceased to amaze him. Those few stolen items that trickled up to the northern tribes were bartered at high prices, for even the mountain humans who worked in fear of their lives for the tribes, did not create such clever things. But then again, perhaps they were capable, but chose not to share with the race that had hunted and oppressed them for generations. Understandable. If he were in the same position he'd have offered nothing more than the simplest tasks demanded of him. Not for the first time he considered the tribal chieftains of old fools for choosing to make war with the humans instead of ally with them. ~ P.L. Nunn
