When you finally make it out of whatever took you to your bottom, don't forget to put your recovery first. I've seen a lot of people over the years, slowly work their way back to their bottom, because they stop doing everything that got them sober. Sure life gets busy, but if you become irresponsible with your recovery, the outcome is almost always catastrophic.
I just want to encourage those who have drifted away from their recovery program, to get plugged back in. It's very important for you, your family and your friends to maintain your sobriety with like-minded people.
Don't concentrate on your mistakes and failures, concentrate instead on the benefits of all your experiences. Let go of the negativity in your life and keep moving forward! Having a positive attitude can get you through anything! Love others, be of service to your community, and most importantly, love yourself!
When you stay true to yourself, you will never regret the choices that you make. Just know in your heart that you are moving in the right direction. Choosing to live your life based on others' expectations will only hurt your development. It's all about having confidence in yourself and maintaining a positive environment where you can continually grow.
Work hard to become the best you, because you are worth it, and you do matter! God designed you to be yourself, not anyone else! I want to encourage you to let go of what other people think of you, and focus on the beauty of who you are.
When I finally let go of trying to be who I thought everyone else wanted me to be, and became the person who I was designed to be, I found freedom. I am still a working progress, but I am content!
Live for today, enjoy your life as it comes, plan for your future, but remember to love where you are in the present moment! Living for each day is what makes the journey worth it.
If you learn from your failures you really haven't lost anything.
Maybe you are not where you want to be, but God has a plan for you! Keep a positive attitude, work hard, and stay focused! Everything you are doing now is preparing you for your next move! Don't think for one second you aren't making an impact on your future! As long as you are moving forward, you are making progress! Slowly, and steady you are being molded for the next phase in your life! Keep the faith and never lose sight of yourself and your work plan!
If you haven't already done this, get to know yourself. Discover your strengths and weaknesses. Work on your insecurities and fears. Reach out and serve others, develop new friendships, and volunteer some of your time. Get involved with your Church. All of these things have helped me define myself. I wish you the best!
No matter what you are attempting to achieve, it will not happen without sacrifice, hard work, a positive environment, a positive mental attitude, passion, determination, meditation, introspection, prayer and vision. Never use to word try, just do what you need to do to get to the next step. Don't make excuses, don't blame others, don't blame your circumstances. Take personal responsibility, surround yourself with good people and let go of anything or anyone who tries to stop you from doing what you need to do to become the best you! Watch for distractions because they are everywhere. I wish for the best for you and yours!
