Come now, I was not about to let that thing eat you. ~ Stacy Buck
Zombie Horror quotes by Stacy Buck
If I had a dime for every time I heard someone say that they're tired of a genre (zombies) because it's only a fad, I'd be rich. #DeadRising ~ Ace Antonio Hall
Zombie Horror quotes by Ace Antonio Hall
His leg split like a piece of lumber being hit with an awl. ~ Andrew Cormier
Zombie Horror quotes by Andrew Cormier
Warren could see humans further up the street, that had appeared to be dead, now rising to their feet and swaying drunkenly. One man had a huge chunk of flesh bitten from his face and another from his neck, yet he moved forward even though he appeared to be in enormous pain. Many of the newly changed screamed and contorted their limbs and faces in anguish. They moaned in pain almost continuously. ~ Joseph M. Chiron
Zombie Horror quotes by Joseph M. Chiron
Someone had bashed his head in, perhaps to put him out of his misery, but more likely to keep him from coming back as a zombie. ~ Andrew Cormier
Zombie Horror quotes by Andrew Cormier
I had watched him single handedly rip the head off a zombie as he had simultaneously prayed for its soul. When you witness a man do something like that, it changes your perception of them. ~ Andrew Cormier
Zombie Horror quotes by Andrew Cormier
I didn't smoke often, and had never smoked before the apocalypse, but now I had more pressing health issues to worry about. ~ Andrew Cormier
Zombie Horror quotes by Andrew Cormier
Pulling back, like a savage carnivore at its prey, it tore a large chunk of meat rendering his left arm useless...regardless he did not require it for long. ~ Stacy Buck
Zombie Horror quotes by Stacy Buck
He had no illusions about surviving the battle, or any real conscious thought about the battle at all. Logic and rational thought had been shed like a killer's false smile, and all that remained was death. ~ Cedric Nye
Zombie Horror quotes by Cedric Nye
I could see the bay in the distance and where the ship should have been. Instead we found a burnt mast protruding from the waves. ~ Stacy Buck
Zombie Horror quotes by Stacy Buck
You know it's gonna take more than some grave robbing charge to hold or stop the man. Besides, you didn't let me finish. The bodies were rising out of the ground. ~ Justin Bienvenue
Zombie Horror quotes by Justin Bienvenue
I didn't have much faith in humanity before. I have even less faith now that the world has sh*t the bed." – character quote ~ Andrew Cormier
Zombie Horror quotes by Andrew Cormier
Black vomit came gushing out Samantha's mouth, adding to the puddle already on the floor. Samantha was covered in a sheen of sweat, crouched on all fours on the wooden hallway floor, like an animal. Her thick yellow fingernails made deep scratches in the wood as her body convulsed with each new expulsion of the black vomit. Her hair was long and thick and full; thicker and fuller than he had ever seen it. It reminded him of a lion's mane. Her skin was a sickly pale grey with disturbing red boils the size of grapefruit and weeping puss-filled black blotches where others had burst. Spider webs of blue veins were visible under the skin all over her body. ~ Joseph M. Chiron
Zombie Horror quotes by Joseph M. Chiron
When I first read Lovecraft around 1971, and even more so when I began to read about his life, I immediately knew that I wanted to write horror stories. I had read Arthur Machen before I read Lovecraft, and I didn't have that reaction at all. It was what I sensed in Lovecraft's works and what I learned about his myth as the "recluse of Providence" that made me think, "That's for me!" I already had a grim view of existence, so there was no problem there. I was and am agoraphobic, so being reclusive was a snap. The only challenge was whether or not I could actually write horror stories. So I studied fiction writing and wrote every day for years and years until I started to get my stories accepted by small press magazines. I'm not comparing myself to Lovecraft as a person or as a writer, but the rough outline of his life gave me something to aspire to. I don't know what would have become of me if I hadn't discovered Lovecraft. ~ Thomas Ligotti
Zombie Horror quotes by Thomas Ligotti
The horror genre has been for me an original way of taking an explicit visual and visionary approach to directing. ~ Michele Soavi
Zombie Horror quotes by Michele Soavi
Good horror offers a sense of an upended, lawless world and that's appealing to anyone who grew up feeling like an outsider. ~ Christopher Rice
Zombie Horror quotes by Christopher Rice
Someday, scientists will discover a vaccine, a prophylactic, a cure, and people will talk about ALS the way they talk about polio. Parents will tell their children that people used to get something called ALS, and they died from it. It was a horrible disease that paralyzed its victims. Children will vaguely imagine the horror of it for a moment before skipping along to a sunnier topic, fleetingly grateful for a reality that will never include those three letters. ~ Lisa Genova
Zombie Horror quotes by Lisa Genova
You see? I have the run of this place." "Run? More like the zombie shuffle."-Yianna & Motti ~ Stephen Cole
Zombie Horror quotes by Stephen Cole
Building relationships is building business. Also, you sometimes need other people to kill all the motherfucking zombies. ~ Jesse Petersen
Zombie Horror quotes by Jesse Petersen
He shook my dozing soul and threw the cold water of reality in my face, so that life and God and heaven and hell broke into my world with glory and horror. (on CS Lewis) ~ John Piper
Zombie Horror quotes by John Piper
I am coming to the end of acting. I have a list: another stage production, maybe one or two more movies, one more season of American Horror Story ... and then that is it for me. Because I think that's enough. I want to go out with a bang ... or should I say, a scare? ~ Jessica Lange
Zombie Horror quotes by Jessica Lange
Obama has seen to the passage of the most radical legislation in recent American history and so-called 'progressives' should be thanking him for it - even as many of the rest of us rear in horror from its implications. ~ John Podhoretz
Zombie Horror quotes by John Podhoretz
You never explained the change of heart."
"Maybe I got tired of seeing Kevin bend. Or maybe it was the zombies. A few weeks back you and Renee argued contingency plans for a zombie apocalypse. She said she'd focus on survivors. You said you'd go back for some of us. Five of us. You weren't counting Abby or Coach. Since you trust Renee to handle the rest of the team, I'm guessing the last spot is for Dobson. I didn't say anything then because I knew I'd look out for only me when the world went to hell. I don't want to be that person anymore. I want to go back for you. ~ Nora Sakavic
Zombie Horror quotes by Nora Sakavic
He wants your soul' from Mina Harker: The Curse of the Vampire ~ Louise Lake
Zombie Horror quotes by Louise Lake
Typical horror movies of the 1930s were often given a period setting in what looked like a kind of stylized 19th century ... the sense of 'elsewhen', of distance, lent to many of these movies by their settings. They exist, as it were, in a 19th century of the mind. ~ Andrew Tudor
Zombie Horror quotes by Andrew Tudor
Language is a tool for concealing the truth. If we could read each other's minds, this would be a horror show. ~ George Carlin
Zombie Horror quotes by George Carlin
Horror waits in the shadows, even when you are closing your eyes. ~ Melissa D. Ellis
Zombie Horror quotes by Melissa D. Ellis
They told of dripping stone walls in uninhabited castles and of ivy-clad monastery ruins by moonlight, of locked inner rooms and secret dungeons, dank charnel houses and overgrown graveyards, of footsteps creaking upon staircases and fingers tapping at casements, of howlings and shriekings, groanings and scuttlings and the clanking of chains, of hooded monks and headless horseman, swirling mists and sudden winds, insubstantial specters and sheeted creatures, vampires and bloodhounds, bats and rats and spiders, of men found at dawn and women turned white-haired and raving lunatic, and of vanished corpses and curses upon heirs. ~ Susan Hill
Zombie Horror quotes by Susan Hill
He shuffled up to the stake and examined the impaled, naked, dead man. The stake entered his anus and protruded through his gaping mouth, his death mask frozen in a look of horror. ~ Anthony Hulse
Zombie Horror quotes by Anthony Hulse
There are probably more of us. If we're all zombies, then
there's got to be more. I say we go up to the cemetery and find out."
"Can we get soda on the way?"
Nothing washes down brains better than a can of Coca Cola and a little shameless product placement. (Hey, the undead do have an image problem.)
"Soda and cemeteries! Soda and cemeteries!" they chanted. "And braaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiins!"
"Hey Bernie, you're getting pretty good at that."
"Okay, you try."
"Braaa - " the zombie belched, " - aiiinsss."
Earl heaved the coroner's body out of the way. They headed off for the cemetery, each trying furiously to perfect their own, unique and personal call for brains like an undead choir, out of tune.
"Braaaaiiiiins!" "Braaiiiiiiiinns!" "Braaaaaaaaaains!" "Bray-uns."
"That was just awful." ...Away into the night. ~ Daniel Younger
Zombie Horror quotes by Daniel Younger
Stare at him," said Ghost. "They won't bite you if you keep staring at them."
Steve backed away. "They bite?"
Not really. They hiss at you, mostly. The only time geese are ever dangerous is when you happen to be standing on the edge of a cliff. I heard about a guy that almost got killed that way."
By geese?"
Yeah, there was a whole flock of them coming after him. All hissing and cackling and stabbing at his ankles with their big ol' beaks. He didn't know you had to stare them right in the eye, and he panicked. They backed him right over a fifty-foot cliff."
So how come he didn't die?"
This guy had wings," said Ghost. "He flew away. ~ Poppy Z. Brite
Zombie Horror quotes by Poppy Z. Brite
The gap in the fire which had opened up before him, so that the twisted grimace on the face of existence had become visible through the play of the flames, narrowed to disappear completely. His back hurt and he could hear darkness breathing audibly. ~ Paul Leppin
Zombie Horror quotes by Paul Leppin
The man doesn't want me messing with it and, no offense, I wouldn't anger him. I've seen what he can do and it's the stuff horror movies are made of. Body part flailing, blood. Lots of blood and torture. (Berith) ~ Sherrilyn Kenyon
Zombie Horror quotes by Sherrilyn Kenyon
Isn't it a riddle ... and awe-inspiring, that everything is so beautiful? Despite the horror. Lately I've noticed something grand and mysterious peering through my sheer joy in all that is beautiful, a sense of its creator ... Only man can be truly ugly, because he has the free will to estrange himself from this song of praise.
It often seems that he'll manage to drown out this hymn with his cannon thunder, curses and blasphemy. But during this past spring it has dawned upon me that he won't be able to do this. And so I want to try and throw myself on the side of the victor. ~ Sophie Scholl
Zombie Horror quotes by Sophie Scholl
I actually wrote my first zombie book way before I got the job on 'Saturday Night Live.' ~ Max Brooks
Zombie Horror quotes by Max Brooks
To have defined and sure opinions, fixed and known instincts, passions and character - all that is the horror of turning our soul into a fact, materialize it and make it external. ~ Fernando Pessoa
Zombie Horror quotes by Fernando Pessoa
Maybe if the death had occurred on the other side of the street, I'd be watching from here with different kids, acting as foolish. Maybe the difference between horror and holiday was just the width of an ordinary street. ~ Dean Koontz
Zombie Horror quotes by Dean Koontz
Maybe it's the fact the most of the arts here are produced by world-weary and sophisticated older people and then consumed by younger people who not only consume art but study it for clues on how to be cool, hip - and keep in mind that, for kids and younger people, to be hip and cool is the same as to be admired and accepted and included and so Unalone. Forget so-called peer-pressure. It's more like peer-hunger. No? We enter a spiritual puberty where we snap to the fact that the great transcendant horror is loneliness, excluded encagement in the self. Once we've hit this age, we will now give or take anything, wear any mask, to fit, be part-of, not be Alone, we young. The U.S. arts are our guide to inclusion. A how-to. We are shown how to fashion masks of ennui and jaded irony at a young age where the face is fictile enough to assume the shape of whatever it wears. And then it's stuck there, the weary cynicism that saves us from gooey sentiment and unsophisticated naivete. ~ David Foster Wallace
Zombie Horror quotes by David Foster Wallace
THE THING WAS AN EXPERT IN HORROR, BUT THIS HUMAN HORROR INDEED EXCEEDED ANY OTHER POSSIBLE FATE. NOT ONLY BECAUSE IT WAS WITHOUT MERCY, BUT BECAUSE IT WAS ACTED UPON RATIONALLY AND WITHOUT COMPULSION. IT WAS A CHOICE. THE KILLING WAS UNRELATED TO THE LARGE WAR, AND IT SERVED NO OTHER PURPOSE THEN EVIL. MEN CHOSE TO DO THIS TO OTHER MEN AND INVENTED REASONS AND PLACES AND MYTHS IN ORDER TO SATISFY THEIR DESIRE IN A LOGICAL AND METHODICAL WAY. ~ Guillermo Del Toro
Zombie Horror quotes by Guillermo Del Toro
Just before Willow and Rider boarded the stage, Owen and Miriam pulled them aside. Owen looked terribly uncomfortable, and for a moment Willow thought they were about to hear some dreaful news.
"Yes,Pa?" Willow prodded. "Is there a problem?"
"No.Just got something to say, is all."
"Well,what is it,Owen?" Rider chuckled.
Owen put his arm around Miriam and yanked her close. She scowled and smoothed her pretty peach satin gown.
"Well,I guess me and Miriam here are getting hitched."
"You guess?" Miriam snapped, slapping at the arm squeezing the air out of her.
"Congratulations!" Rider shouted out. "Mrs. Brigham, how did you ever talk this stubborn father-in-law of mine into it?"
Owen winked at Rider. And to his future wife's horror, he replied, "She rode and broke the stallion. ~ Charlotte McPherren
Zombie Horror quotes by Charlotte McPherren
Onto Chastity Bjornsen's car radio came the drawling irreverent brass and subhip syncopation of a Herb Alpert arrangement, which Doc realized with growing horror was a cover of Ohio Express's "Yummy Yummy Yummy." He ~ Thomas Pynchon
Zombie Horror quotes by Thomas Pynchon
Ignorance was the enemy. Lies and superstition, misinformation, disinformation. Sometimes, no information at all. Ignorance killed billions of people. Ignorance caused the Zombie War. ~ Max Brooks
Zombie Horror quotes by Max Brooks
Who has that absolute trust, to fling yourself into mortality, to let it do with you as it will, with all the permutations and possibilities of as it will, be it horror or ecstasy or boredom? ~ Frederick Lenz
Zombie Horror quotes by Frederick Lenz
The fires went out, and blank darkness fell. The Company stood rooted with horror sraring into the pit. ~ J.R.R. Tolkien
Zombie Horror quotes by J.R.R. Tolkien
She slipped into the shadows and waited, like a she-wolf, for her quarry.
Bay caught her breath when Owen Blackthorne stepped into the cool night air. He was close enough to touch. His shaggy black hair looked rumpled, as though he'd shoved both hands through it in agitation. When he started to move off the porch, Bay reached out and grasped his sleeve.
A second later she was slammed back against the wall, a powerful male hand at her throat choking her. She could feel the heat of him, the solid maleness of him. And panicked. She clawed at Owen's flesh with her nails and drove her knee upward toward his genitals. Her thrust her upraised knee aside, and the full weight of his over-six-foot frame shoved hard against her from shoulders to thighs.
Bay froze, staring up at him in mute horror. Her body trembled in shock. She tried to speak, but there was no air to be had beneath the crushing pressure of his grip on her throat.
"What the hell . . .?" He released her throat and grabbed her arms to yank her into the narrow stream of light from the kitchen doorway.
She gasped a breath of air, coughed, then gasped another, pressing a shaky hand to her injured throat. She wrenched to free herself, but he let her go without a struggle and took a wary step back. She rubbed her arms where he'd held her, wishing she'd approached him more directly.
"What are you doing out here, Mizz Creed?" His voice was clipped but controlled. The violence she'd felt in his touc ~ Joan Johnston
Zombie Horror quotes by Joan Johnston
..."Were hostages ever killed?"She shook her head. "Not until the end. When everything...fell apart. "All it needs,",she said, memories clouding her mind, "is the breaking of one rule, one law. A breaking that then no one calls to account. Once that happens, once the shock passes, every law shatters. Every rule of conduct, of proper behaviour, it all vanishes. Then the hounds inside each and everyone of us is unleashed. At that moment Withal" - she met his eyes, defiant against the grief she saw in them - "we show our true selves. We are not beasts- we are something far worse. There deep inside us. You see it - the emptiness in the eyes, as horror upon horror is committed, and no one feels. No one feels a thing." --Steven Erikson... Dust of Dreams ~ Steven Erikson
Zombie Horror quotes by Steven Erikson
'Dark Circles' is a great relationship/character piece and also a horror film. It tinkered with the genre, which I loved. I was sick of seeing the same thing, sick of people just trying to get a movie made. ~ Johnathon Schaech
Zombie Horror quotes by Johnathon Schaech
(Playing with Jeffster at Comic-Con) was absolutely the scariest thing I have ever done. I literally skipped over the 'what a great moment' to 'oh, my God, I can't believe I have to do this.' And when I was up there, the people were, like, "Oh, my God," and they were all screaming and stuff. But I didn't hear a thing. I was just in my own little bubble of horror and panic, utterly, utterly blanched with terror. ~ Vik Sahay
Zombie Horror quotes by Vik Sahay
For David Shenk, the most important of the "windows onto meaning" afforded by Alzheimer's is its slowing down of death. Shenk likens the disease to a prism that refracts death into a spectrum of its otherwise tightly conjoined parts - death of autonomy, death of memory, death of self-consciousness, death of personality, death of body - and he subscribes to the most common trope of Alzheimer's: that its particular sadness and horror stem from the sufferer's loss of his or her "self" long before the body dies. ~ Jonathan Franzen
