If the unexamined life was not worth living, was the unlived life worth examining? ~ Paul Kalanithi
Worth Living quotes by Paul Kalanithi
Look back on your life and find those moments of giving. Fill life with those moments; life will be worth living. ~ Debasish Mridha
Worth Living quotes by Debasish Mridha
Sometimes, it's worth living the dreams, tasks, hopes or ambitions of the people you love, however unjustifiable or stupid they may sound. Sometimes, it's worth completing what they stood up for. That is the best gift you can give to the people you love. ~ Sapan Saxena
Worth Living quotes by Sapan Saxena
Murdoch's gun was the only thing in my life, the only thing worth living for. It gets like that sometimes, with instruments of death. ~ Jeff Noon
Worth Living quotes by Jeff Noon
I started asking the big questions that I had asked in college, that my compatriots the Greek philosophers had asked, like 'what is a good life?' Socrates famously said that 'The unexamined life is not worth living.' I started asking these questions from the starting point of 'what is success?' ~ Arianna Huffington
Worth Living quotes by Arianna Huffington
The isness of things is well worth studying; but it is their whyness that makes life worth living. ~ William Beebe
Worth Living quotes by William Beebe
You can't let other men impose their will on you or life's not worth living. ~ Mario Puzo
Worth Living quotes by Mario Puzo
Why?" He sounded bemused. He'd whispered the word.
She supposed he meant: why are you here? Because her mind answered with: Because I love you, and damn you for it. You have both made my life worth living and utterly ruined it, and I'm grateful that you did.
She smiled faintly. She would never say it. ~ Julie Anne Long
Worth Living quotes by Julie Anne Long
If there were nothing else, reading would
obviously
be worth living for. ~ Nuala O'Faolain
Worth Living quotes by Nuala O'Faolain
Why does it have to be like this?' I asked bitterly. 'Why does life have to be so short, with all the good things passing quickly. Is it worth living at all? ~ Joseph Delaney
Worth Living quotes by Joseph Delaney
A true friend is a friend for whom life is worth living. ~ Debasish Mridha
Worth Living quotes by Debasish Mridha
The unemotional life is not worth living. ~ Marty Rubin
Worth Living quotes by Marty Rubin
It is not living that matters, but living rightly. ~ Socrates
Worth Living quotes by Socrates
We must eschew anything trivial. We must embrace all that is frivolous ... Trivial things take up all your time and dull your senses, whereas frivolity is meaningful, profound, worth living and dying for ... If we devote our lives to frivolity, the world will be a far, far better place. Humanity will be better able to fulfill its primary goal, that of having a good time. ~ Cynthia Heimel
Worth Living quotes by Cynthia Heimel
We know that without food we would die. Without fellowship, life is not worth living. ~ Laurie Colwin
Worth Living quotes by Laurie Colwin
[A]nything worth dying for ... is certainly worth living for. ~ Joseph Heller
Worth Living quotes by Joseph Heller
STEPAN: Innocence? Yes, maybe I know what that means. But I prefer to shut my eyes to it - and to shut others' eyes to it, for the time being - so that one day it may have a world-wide meaning. KALIAYEV: Well, you must feel very sure that day is coming if you repudiate everything that makes life worth living today, on its account. STEPAN: I am certain that that day is coming. KALIAYEV: No, you can't be as sure as that. ... Before it can be known which of us, you or I, is right, perhaps three generations will have to be sacrificed; there will have been bloody wars, and no less bloody revolutions. And by the time that all this blood has dried off the earth, you and I will long since have turned to dust. ~ Albert Camus
Worth Living quotes by Albert Camus
It is the useless things that make life worth living and that make life dangerous too: wine, love, art, beauty. Without them life is safe, but not worth bothering with. ~ Stephen Fry
Worth Living quotes by Stephen Fry
While most would agree with Socrates that, "the unexamined life is not worth living," a lesser-known quote by Sheldon Kopp might be more important here: "The unlived life is not worth examining. ~ Meg Jay
Worth Living quotes by Meg Jay
I see you, Yi-yi."
She smiled. Everything she knew about love she'd learned from this pudgy, cranky, manic-depressive, binge-eating beast that had been her companion through hell and back, too many times to count. He alone had protected her, loved her, fought for her, taught her to believe that life was worth living, even if there was no one there to see you living it.
"I see you, too, Shazam. ~ Karen Marie Moning
Worth Living quotes by Karen Marie Moning
So far, I've only discovered four things that make life worth living for me. My work is one of them." "What are the other three?" Jacob wanted to know. "Music, books, and sex," I said. "Not necessarily in that order." His eyebrows ~ Tiffanie DeBartolo
Worth Living quotes by Tiffanie DeBartolo
Life is a journey of astonishing beauty, and this is what makes life worth living. ~ Debasish Mridha
Worth Living quotes by Debasish Mridha
It's not about how much you do, but how much love you put into what you do that counts. Life isn't worth living, unless lived for other people. ~ Mother Teresa
Worth Living quotes by Mother Teresa
Color is one of the great things in the world that makes life worth living to me and as I have come to think of painting it is my efforts to create an equivalent with paint color for the world, life as I see it. ~ Georgia O'Keeffe
Worth Living quotes by Georgia O'Keeffe
Put down the pen someone else gave you. No one ever drafted a life worth living on borrowed ink. Get to San Francisco. Get to San Francisco in defiance of your geography, your ancestry and the lonely change rattling sad excuses in your pocket. Fuel up on pie and diner coffee and mystic visions and the freedom of not knowing what's coming next except that you're burning the road to outrun it. ~ Jack Kerouac
Worth Living quotes by Jack Kerouac
Thirteen years separate the death of her mother from that of her aunt.
And another thirteen passed between her mother's death and her grandmother's.
yes, exactly the same time lapse.
And all three died in almost exactly the same way.
A leap into the void.
Death has three different ages.
The girl, the mother, the grandmother.
So no age is worth living.
In the train that rolls toward the camp, Charlotte makes a calculation.
1940 + 13 = 1953.
So 1953 will be the year of her suicide.
If she doesn't die before that. ~ David Foenkinos
Worth Living quotes by David Foenkinos
I know that you cannot live on hope alone, but without it, life is not worth living. And you ... And you ... And you ... Gotta give em hope. ~ Harvey Milk
Worth Living quotes by Harvey Milk
Only music clarifies, reconciles, and consoles. But it is not a straw just barely clutched at. It is a faithful friend, protector, and comforter, and for its sake alone, life in this world is worth living. Who knows, perhaps in heaven there will be no music. So let us live on the earth while we still have life! ~ Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky
Worth Living quotes by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky
Desire, both the whispers and the shouts, is the map we have been given to find the only life worth living. ~ John Eldredge
Worth Living quotes by John Eldredge
There is but one truly serious philosophical problem and that is suicide. Judging whether life is or is not worth living amounts to answering the fundamental question of philosophy. All the rest - whether or not the world has three dimensions, whether the mind has nine or twelve categories - comes afterwards. These are games; one must first answer. ~ Albert Camus
Worth Living quotes by Albert Camus
Tomorrow is worth living for. ~ Naide P Obiang
Worth Living quotes by Naide P Obiang
A life with a worthy purpose is worth living. ~ Debasish Mridha
Worth Living quotes by Debasish Mridha
Harm reduction is often perceived as being inimical to the ultimate purpose of "curing" addiction - that is, of helping addicts transcend their habits and to heal. People regard it as "coddling" addicts, as enabling them to continue their destructive ways. It's also considered to be the opposite of abstinence, which many regard as the only legitimate goal of addiction treatment. Such a distinction is artificial. The issue in medical practice is always how best to help a patient. If a cure is possible and probable without doing greater harm, then cure is the objective. When it isn't - and in most chronic medical conditions cure is not the expected outcome - the physician's role is to help the patient with the symptoms and to reduce the harm done by the disease process.

In rheumatoid arthritis, for example, one aims to prevent joint inflammation and bone destruction and, in all events, to reduce pain. In incurable cancers we aim to prolong life, if that can be achieved without a loss of life quality, and also to control symptoms. In other words, harm reduction means making the lives of afflicted human beings more bearable, more worth living. That is also the goal of harm reduction in the context of addiction. Although hardcore drug addiction is much more than a disease, the harm reduction model is essential to its treatment. Given our lack of a systematic, evidencebased approach to addiction, in many cases it's futile to dream of a cure.

So long as s ~ Gabor Mate
Worth Living quotes by Gabor Mate
There's something about Lily that makes all the terrible parts of me seem irrelevant. That makes a bad day momentary and a good one infinite.
It's love like this that's worth living for. ~ Krista Ritchie
Worth Living quotes by Krista Ritchie
The ugly parts of love can't lift you up.
They bring you
D
O
W
N.
They hold you under.
Drown you.
You look up and think, I wish I was up there.
But you're not.
Ugly love becomes you.
Consumes you.
Makes you hate it all.
Makes you realize that all the beautiful parts aren't even worth it. Without the beautiful, you'll never risk feeling this.
You'll never risk feeling the ugly.
So you give it up. You give it all up. You never want love again, no matter what kind it is, because no type of love will ever be worth living through the ugly love again.
I'll never let myself love anyone again, Rachel.
Ever. ~ Colleen Hoover
Worth Living quotes by Colleen Hoover
If we let things terrify us, life will not be worth living. ~ Seneca The Younger
Worth Living quotes by Seneca The Younger
A moment well spent is the best accomplishment. Yesterday is a phantom and tomorrow a mirage. The only day worth living is this one. If we can do that wekl, the yesterdays and tomorrows take care of themselves ~ James Gurney
Worth Living quotes by James Gurney
The longer I live and the more experience I have of the world, the more I am convinced that, after all, the one thing that is most worth living for-and dying for, if need be-is the opportunity of making someone else more happy. ~ Booker T. Washington
Worth Living quotes by Booker T. Washington
He couldn't live a life worth saving, and he couldn't save a life worth living. ~ Jodi Picoult
Worth Living quotes by Jodi Picoult
Maybe you think life is not worth living, but is death worth dying for? ~ Cesar Nascimento
Worth Living quotes by Cesar Nascimento
Is life worth living? Aye, with the best of us, Heights of us, depths of us- Life is the test of us! ~ Corinne Roosevelt Robinson
Worth Living quotes by Corinne Roosevelt Robinson
What was meaningful? What was meaningless? What did it mean, to amount to something? What type of life, was worth living? Was it better, to make a ton of money, and have a fucking goddamn Mercedes, or whatever the fuck kind of car it was, to be a lawyer with a 'serious' job, and to have 'amounted to something,' or was it better to just be a waiter, and work the evening shift, and have your days free to goof off with your roommates, your friends, to go to meditation, to take some time to reflect, and enjoy life, and to not always be in such a big goddamn rush to get somewhere? ~ T. Scott McLeod
Worth Living quotes by T. Scott McLeod
I'm afraid too many of us Christians don't know what we really believe. Like a cork in the ocean, driven and tossed by the waves, we bounce from opinion to opinion ... We've become activity junkies, seldom stopping long enough to decide what really matters to us, too busy to determine what's really worth living for, let alone worth dying for. ~ Dennis Rainey
Worth Living quotes by Dennis Rainey
me. That's what it does. Nothing is ever enough. You get more, and more, but you're never happy. It's a trap baited with all the things you want most. That life - it's not worth living. ~ Christie Golden
Worth Living quotes by Christie Golden
Can you remember, Acte ... how much easier our belief in Nero made life for us in the old days? And can you remember the paralysis, the numbness that seized the whole world when Nero died? Didn't you feel as if the world had grown bare and colorless all of a sudden? Those people on the Palatine have tried to steal our Nero from us, from you and me. Isn't splendid to think that we can show them they haven't succeeded? They have smashed his statues into splinters, erased his name from all the inscriptions, they even replaced his head on that huge statue in Rome with the peasant head of old Vespasian. Isn't it fine to teach them that all that hasn't been of the slightest use? Granted that they have been successful for a few years. For a few years they have actually managed to banish all imagination from the world, all enthusiasm, extravagance, everything that makes life worth living. But now, with our Nero, all these things are back again. ~ Lion Feuchtwanger
Worth Living quotes by Lion Feuchtwanger
The supreme good - to examine everything - a life which was not devoted to such research would not be worth living. Happiness would thus consist in their never-ending quest. PLATO ~ Alexandra Stoddard
Worth Living quotes by Alexandra Stoddard
It is impossible for any rational creature to be happy without acting all for God. God Himself could not make him happy any other way ... There is nothing in the world worth living for but doing good and finishing God's work, doing the work that Christ did. I see nothing else in the world that can yield any satisfaction besides living to God, pleasing Him, and doing his whole will. ~ David Brainerd
Worth Living quotes by David Brainerd
Life flies by, especially the bit that's worth living. ~ Carlos Ruiz Zafon
Worth Living quotes by Carlos Ruiz Zafon
To grant all a man's wishes is to take away his dreams and ambitions. Life is only worth living if you have something to strive for. To aim at. ~ P.B. Kerr
Worth Living quotes by P.B. Kerr
I can't say this too often - that a little humor can make life worth living. That has always been my credo. Somebody once asked me, 'What would you like your epitaph to be?' I've always said that I'd like it to be: He left people a little happier than they were when he came into the room. ~ Bennett Cerf
Worth Living quotes by Bennett Cerf
If you feel that you touched one heart, if you feel that you improved one life, if you feel that once in a while you enjoyed the beauty of nature, then life was worth living. ~ Debasish Mridha
Worth Living quotes by Debasish Mridha
Everyone can access the parts of themselves that are great. I'm just a girl from New York City who decided to do this, after all. Rule the world! What's life worth living if you don't rule it? ~ Lady Gaga
Worth Living quotes by Lady Gaga
No one could ever truly be free as long as they loved, and life wasn't worth living without love. So freedom? Overrated. ~ Gena Showalter
Worth Living quotes by Gena Showalter
Plato did claim that the unexamined life was not worth living. Oedipus Rex was not so sure. ~ Tom Robbins
Worth Living quotes by Tom Robbins
It may be true that the unexamined life is not worth living-but neither is the unlived life worth examining. ~ Dan Millman
Worth Living quotes by Dan Millman
If I go through life free and rich, I shall not cry because my neighbor, equally free, is richer. Liberty will ultimately make all men rich; it will not make all men equally rich. Authority may (and may not) make all men equally rich in purse; it certainly will make them equally poor in all that makes life best worth living. ~ Benjamin Tucker
Worth Living quotes by Benjamin Tucker
Don't misunderstand, but how dare you risk your life? What the devil did you think, to leap over like that? You could have stayed safe on this side and just helped me over." Even to her ears, her tone bordered on the hysterical.
Beneath her fingers, the white lawn started to redden.
She sucked in a shaky breath. "How could you risk your life-your life, you idiot!" She leaned harder on the pad, dragged in another breath.
He coughed weakly, shifted his head.
"Don't you dare die on me!"
His lips twisted, but his eyes remained closed. "But if I die"-his words were a whisper-"you won't have to marry, me or anyone else. Even the most censorious in the ton will consider my death to be the end of the matter. You'll be free."
"Free?" Then his earlier words registered. "If you die? I told you-don't you dare! I won't let you-I forbid you to. How can I marry you if you die? And how the hell will I live if you aren't alive, too?" As the words left her mouth, half hysterical, all emotion, she realized they were the literal truth. Her life wouldn't be worth living if he wasn't there to share it. "What will I do with my life if you die?"
He softly snorted, apparently unimpressed by-or was it not registering?-her panic. "Marry some other poor sod, like you were planning to."
The words cut. "You are the only poor sod I'm planning to marry." Her waspish response came on a rush of rising fear. She glanced around, but there was no one in sight. Help had yet ~ Stephanie Laurens
Worth Living quotes by Stephanie Laurens
Life isn't worth living unless you are young and surrounded by other young people in a beautiful cold garden perfumed by dirt and flowers and fallen leaves, gleaming in the string of lights, listening to the quiet city on the last fine night of the year. ~ Lauren Groff
Worth Living quotes by Lauren Groff
Socrates had it wrong; it is not the unexamined but finally the uncommitted life that is not worth living. ~ William Sloane Coffin
Worth Living quotes by William Sloane Coffin
Everyone should have hair. When you get dressed up, you must do that last whip of hair spray, or life's not worth living. ~ Charles Nelson Reilly
Worth Living quotes by Charles Nelson Reilly
There are many things worth living for, a few things worth dying for, and nothing worth killing for. ~ Tom Robbins
Worth Living quotes by Tom Robbins
There is nothing worth living for, unless it is worth dying for. ~ Elisabeth Elliot
Worth Living quotes by Elisabeth Elliot
That's what happens when you study men: you find mare's nests. I happen to believe that you can't study men; you can only get to know them, which is quite a different thing. Because you study them, you want to make the lower orders govern the country and listen to classical music, which is balderdash. You also want to take away from them everything which makes life worth living and not only from them but from everyone except a parcel of prigs and professors. ~ C.S. Lewis
Worth Living quotes by C.S. Lewis
Depression is a lot like that: slowly, over the years, the data will accumulate in your heart and mind, a computer program for total negativity will build into your system, making life feel more and more unbearale. But you won't even notice it coming on, thinking that it is somehow normal, something about getter older, about turning eight or about turning twelve or turning fifteeen, and then one day you realize that your entire life is just awful, not worth living, a horror and a black blot on the white terrain of human existence. One morning you wake up afraid you are going to live. ~ Elizabeth Wurtzel
Worth Living quotes by Elizabeth Wurtzel
It's okay to be afraid. But not okay if be afraid means you do nothing. You must not do nothing. That's not life worth living. ~ Emily X.R. Pan
Worth Living quotes by Emily X.R. Pan
A house of which one knew every room wasn't worth living in. ~ Giuseppe Tomasi Di Lampedusa
Worth Living quotes by Giuseppe Tomasi Di Lampedusa
One of hallmarks of a creative person is the ability to tolerate ambiguity, dissonance, inconsistency, things out of place. But one of the rules of a well-run corporation is that surprise is to be minimized. Yet if this rule were applied to the creative process, nothing worth reading would get written, nothing worth seeing would get painted, nothing worth living with and using would ever get designed. ~ Ralph Caplan
Worth Living quotes by Ralph Caplan
Life owes me a living worth living. Yes, Eden regarded life as her debtor, she its relentless paymaster. ~ Fannie Hurst
Worth Living quotes by Fannie Hurst
This is for you, for your breath, whose absence would lessen a greater world. ~ Shaun Hick
Worth Living quotes by Shaun Hick
If there were no Frenchwomen, life wouldn't be worth living. ~ Friedrich Engels
Worth Living quotes by Friedrich Engels
Is life worth living? Like everybody else, I have many times asked that question, usually deciding negatively, because I am most likely to ask myself whether life is worth living, at times when I am convinced it isn't. One day, in one of my frequent, and probably incurable, scientific moments, it occurred to me to find out. For a month, at the end of each day, I set down a plus sign, or a minus sign, indicating that, in my opinion, life had, or had not, been worth living, that day. At the end of the month, I totted up, and I can't say that I was altogether pleased to learn that the pluses had won the game. It is not dignified to be optimistic. ~ Charles Fort
Worth Living quotes by Charles Fort
When things get tough, there are two things that make life worth living: Mozart, and quantum mechanics ~ Victor Frederick Weisskopf
Worth Living quotes by Victor Frederick Weisskopf
His smile was more of a grimace, but he nodded. "A life without purpose is no life at all. The fight to make our world a place worth living was everything to Élise, but she didn't get to see it through. I'll do this for her. ~ Danielle L. Jensen
Worth Living quotes by Danielle L. Jensen
A few individuals, a few of the great saints, certainly knew what femininity was about. In the old matriarchies there was no feminine consciousness, only unconscious mother. The "I", the ego with values and truths of its own was not operating. In the Celtic world they died for the Goddess but they had no ego that said, "Life is worth living." They were like the terrorists...who don't have the ego strength to say life is worth living so they willingly die for a cause. Feminine consciousness has been operative in some individuals, but not in a whole culture. Now I think we're starting to get free of the old matriarchy and free of the patriarchy. In other words, we are entering into conscious relationship with our mother and father complexes. As a planet we're moving toward maturity. We're trying to find out who we are when we're not possessed by those complexes. And we're fighting against time. ~ Marion Woodman
Worth Living quotes by Marion Woodman
I wait. I don't know how long it will take his reproductive organs to decide life is worth living again, but I'm stuck here until they do. ~ Jessica Martinez
Worth Living quotes by Jessica Martinez
Uncertainty doesn't make life worth living, quite, but it does make striving and gambling worth attempting. ~ Walter Kirn
Worth Living quotes by Walter Kirn
They had something worth dying for. Ah, but you have something they don't.
And what's that?
Something worth living for. ~ Nadine Brandes
Worth Living quotes by Nadine Brandes
She was worth running for. Worth every loss in my life. Worth stepping outside the law. Worth living, dying, and everything in between. ~ C.D. Reiss
Worth Living quotes by C.D. Reiss
Some things are not worth dying for, but without them life is not worth living. ~ Mokokoma Mokhonoana
Worth Living quotes by Mokokoma Mokhonoana
He'd lost the only part of his life that made it worth living because of a couple random fucks. How ridiculous. ~ Santino Hassell
Worth Living quotes by Santino Hassell
You've thrown down the gauntlet. You've brought my wrath down upon your house. Now, to prove that I exist I must kill you. As the child outlives the father, so must the character bury the author. If you are, in fact, my continuing author, then killing you will end my existence as well. Small loss. Such a life, as your puppet, is not worth living.
But ... If I destroy you and your dreck script, and I still exist ... then my existence will be glorious, for I will become my own master. ~ Chuck Palahniuk
Worth Living quotes by Chuck Palahniuk
Look, Daniel, at my age either you begin to see things for what they are or you're pretty much done for. Only three or four things are worth living for; the rest is manure ~ Carlos Ruiz Zafon
Worth Living quotes by Carlos Ruiz Zafon
The unexamined life is not worth living. But if all you're doing is examining, then you're not living! ~ Adam Leipzig
Worth Living quotes by Adam Leipzig
It is my considered opinion that the human race (soi disant) is cruel, idiotic, sentimental, predatory, ungrateful, ugly, conceited and egocentric to the last ditch and that the occasional discovery of an isolated exception is as deliciously surprising as finding a sudden brazil nut in what you know to be five pounds of vanilla creams. These glorious moments, although not making life actually worth living, perhaps, at least make it pleasanter. ~ Noel Coward
Worth Living quotes by Noel Coward
A life worth living, and work worth doing - that is what I want for children (and all people), not just, or not even, something called 'a better education. ~ John Holt
Worth Living quotes by John Holt
Yes, it will all end one day; but today is worth living. ~ Innocent Mwatsikesimbe
Worth Living quotes by Innocent Mwatsikesimbe
Well, then I'll die.' Sooner than other people, obviously. But everybody knows that life isn't worth living. And when it came down to it, I wasn't unaware of the fact that it doesn't matter very much whether you die at thirty or at seventy since, in either case, other men and women will naturally go on living, for thousands of years even. Nothing was plainer, in fact. It was still only me who was dying, whether it was now or in twenty years' time. ~ Albert Camus
Worth Living quotes by Albert Camus
Ty Inc.'s 1989 catalog had this on the back cover: "Warning: If anyone dare copy our creative designs and patents without written permission, ownership of your eternal soul passes to us and we have the right to negotiate the sale of said soul. Furthermore, our attorneys will see to it that life on Earth, as you know it, is not worth living. ~ Zac Bissonnette
Worth Living quotes by Zac Bissonnette
Man is not a being whose exclusive purpose in life is eating, drinking, and providing a shelter for himself. As soon as his material wants are satisfied, other needs, which, generally speaking, may be described as of an artistic character, will thrust themselves forward. These needs are of the greatest variety; they vary with each and every individual; and the more society is civilized, the more will individuality be developed, and the more will desires be varied.
Even today we see men and women denying themselves necessaries to acquire mere trifles, to obtain some particular gratification, or some intellectual or material enjoyment. A Christian or an ascetic may disapprove of these desires for luxury; but it is precisely these trifles that break the monotony of existence and make it agreeable. Would life, with all its inevitable drudge and sorrows, be worth living, if, besides daily work, man could never obtain a single pleasure according to his individual tastes? ~ Pyotr Kropotkin
Worth Living quotes by Pyotr Kropotkin
We have an opportunity right now to step into a higher version of ourselves. We are living in a world with so many people hungry for love, to be "seen" and appreciated. Take a moment right now to adore someone, to love, to appreciate, to say "thank you", to activate kindness, to forgive, to say, "I'm sorry".
And don't forget to love on yourself. Nourish yourself. Nurture yourself. Pleasure yourself. Treat yourself.
You are alive. This moment is filled with magic. Make this life worth living every day. ~ Rosangel Perez
Worth Living quotes by Rosangel Perez
It's a hard thing to accept that someone wants you dead. It forces you to decide if you have anything worth living for. ~ Scott Overton
Worth Living quotes by Scott Overton
Nick... I hope one day you find you a woman who loves you like my Melissa loved me. Whatever you do, boy, don't turn your back on her. If she says she needs you for something, don't matter how stupid it sounds or what deadline you got, you go to her and you do it. Screw work or whatever else. In the end, the only things that matter are the people in your life. The ones who make your life worth living and whose smiles light up your world. Don't ever push them aside for fair-weather friends. Everything else is just cheap window dressing that you can replace. But once them people are gone..." He winced. "You can't buy back time, Nick. Ever. It's the only thing in life you can't get more of, and it's the one thing that will mercilessly tear you up when it's gone. It takes pity on no soul and no heart. And all those fools who tell you it gets easier in time are lying dumb-asses.
Losing someone you really love don't never get easier. You just go a few hours longer without breaking down. That's all... that's all. - Bubba ~ Sherrilyn Kenyon
Worth Living quotes by Sherrilyn Kenyon
You've been mine since the first day I laid eyes on you," he countered. "Don't care what anyone says. It was kismet, serendipity... fate, you name it. I didn't plan on you, but it's the unexpected things in life that make it worth living. ~ Marquita Valentine
Worth Living quotes by Marquita Valentine
Look - I understand that an unexamined life is not worth living, but do you think I could someday have an unexamined lunch? ~ Elizabeth Gilbert
Worth Living quotes by Elizabeth Gilbert
At the time of his death, Biko had a wife and three children for which he left a letter that stated in one part: I've devoted my life to see equality for blacks, and at the same time, I've denied the needs of my family. Please understand that I take these actions, not out of selfishness or arrogance, but to preserve a South Africa worth living in for blacks and whites. ~ Steve Biko
Worth Living quotes by Steve Biko
That's all war is - a consuming fever: a period of delirium and insanity, of misery, disappointment, discomfort, anxiety, despair, waste, weariness, boredom, brutality, death; and yet to every man in every war there comes a day worth living for: a day when a lifetime of excitement is packed into a few short hours. ~ Kenneth Roberts
Worth Living quotes by Kenneth Roberts
The smile he gives me is worth living for. ~ Nicola Yoon
Worth Living quotes by Nicola Yoon
You were right and I was wrong. When life hurts more than death, it is not worth living. ~ Anne Fortier
Worth Living quotes by Anne Fortier
There are only four questions of importance in life: What is sacred, of what is the spirit made, what is worth living for, and what is worth dying for. The answer to all of them is the same. Only LOVE. ~ Umberto Eco
Worth Living quotes by Umberto Eco
Love is the grand prize and the garbage heap. Love is a spiritual root canal and the only thing that makes life worth living. Love is a little taste of always and a big bite of nothing. And love is everything in between these extremes. ~ Robert Fulghum
Worth Living quotes by Robert Fulghum
