I know how I get hard. Running on a treadmill behind women in a gym normally does it for me. ~ Kevin Hart
Treadmill quotes by Kevin Hart
I started out on a treadmill - and I just did my first marathon. And all while sitting in a wheelchair. ~ Jarod Kintz
Treadmill quotes by Jarod Kintz
I have a punishing workout regimen. Every day I do 3 minutes on a treadmill, then I lie down, drink a glass of vodka and smoke a cigarette. ~ Anthony Hopkins
Treadmill quotes by Anthony Hopkins
You gotta run more than your mouth to escape the treadmill of mediocrity. A true hustler jogs during the day, and sleepwalks at night. ~ Jarod Kintz
Treadmill quotes by Jarod Kintz
You may have made a lot of wrong choices, but you've also made a lot of choices that were right. Focus on your good qualities. Focus on your victories. Get off the treadmill of guilt. ~ Joel Osteen
Treadmill quotes by Joel Osteen
I dreamt of traversing the globe in fancy boots, only to discover I was a mouse on a treadmill. ~ Zora Neale Hurston
Treadmill quotes by Zora Neale Hurston
I guess you'll just have to get used to having a police car outside the grocery store, the gym, and wherever it is you go for lunch with your friends," Jack lectured. "And this goes without saying: you need to be careful. The police surveillance is a precautionary measure, but they can't be everywhere. You should stick to familiar surroundings, and be vigilant and alert at all times."

"I got it. No walking through dark alleys while talking on my cell phone, no running at night with my iPod, no checking out suspicious noises in the basement."

"I seriously hope you're not doing any of those things anyway."

"Of course not."

Jack pinned her with his gaze.

She shifted against the counter. "Okay, maybe, sometimes, I've been known to listen to a Black Eyed Peas song or two while running at night. They get me moving after a long day at work."

Jack seemed wholly unimpressed with this excuse. "Well, you and the Peas better get used to running indoors on a treadmill."

Conscious of Wilkins's presence, and the fact that he was watching her and Jack with what appeared to be amusement, Cameron bit back her retort.

Thirty thousand hotel rooms in the city of Chicago and she picked the one that would lead her back to him. ~ Julie James
Treadmill quotes by Julie James
One of my colleagues in Duke, Ralph Keeney, noted that America's top killer isn't cancer or heart disease, nor is it smoking or obesity. It's our inability to make smart choices and overcome our own self-destructive behaviours. Ralph estimates that about half of us will make a lifestyle decision that will ultimately lead us to an early grave. And as if this were not bad enough, it seems that the rate at which we make these deadly decisions is increasing at an alarming pace.

I suspect that over the next few decades, real improvements in life expectancy and quality are less likely to be driven by medical technology than by improved decision making. Since focusing on long-term benefits is not our natural tendency, we need to more carefully examine the cases in which we repeatedly fail, and try to come up with some remedies for these situations. For an overweight movie loved, the key might be to enjoy watching a film while walking on the treadmill. The trick is to find the right behavioural antidote for each problem. By pairing something that we love with something that we dislike but that is good for us, we might be able to harness desire with outcome - and thus overcome some of the problems with self-control we face every day. ~ Dan Ariely
Treadmill quotes by Dan Ariely
You may be more talented than me. You might be smarter than me. And you may be better looking than me. But if we get on a treadmill together, you are going to get off first or I am going to die. It's really that simple. I'm not going to be overworked. ~ Jay Green
Treadmill quotes by Jay Green
But by taking the time away, getting myself off the treadmill, and just slowing down and learning, I felt I had so much more to give back. And maybe that was something that needed to happen for all of us. ~ Lindsey Buckingham
Treadmill quotes by Lindsey Buckingham
Sometimes I wake up and stretch and do 20 minutes on the treadmill, or anything to just break a sweat. And then I have the weekends where I can get out and play nine holes and maybe go to the gym. ~ Justin Timberlake
Treadmill quotes by Justin Timberlake
Pity about all that publicity when the hamster smashed its way out of its treadmill and ate that man's leg before flying away, but that was Progrethth for you. ~ Terry Pratchett
Treadmill quotes by Terry Pratchett
I needed targets, different things to go for on a daily basis - a distance on the treadmill or a weight goal. Without them, I wasn't celebrating myself enough, and I got really good at beating myself up. ~ Ali Vincent
Treadmill quotes by Ali Vincent
It is no doubt technically possible to study metabolism and respiration of fishes during swimming at a constant rate, and of certain insects and birds during flight, and to obtain information similar to that obtained on man during work on a bicycle ergometer or a treadmill. ~ August Krogh
Treadmill quotes by August Krogh
When you step on the treadmill, make a commitment. Do, say, 3 miles a day. And don't get off until you finish. It doesn't matter what speed you're going. Just don't get off. ~ Tyrese Gibson
Treadmill quotes by Tyrese Gibson
My brain feels like it's running on a treadmill in a pool of tar. ~ Amie Kaufman
Treadmill quotes by Amie Kaufman
This treadmill lifestyle ain't workin for me ...
It's from ya crib to ya lab to ya job to make a profit,
And at the day's end you still got nothing accomplished. ~ Phonte
Treadmill quotes by Phonte
One of the reasons so many people fail is they get on this treadmill for an hour or an hour and a half. That's totally unnecessary. If it's cardiovascular, you don't need more than 15 to 17 or 18 minutes if it's vigorous. ~ Jack LaLanne
Treadmill quotes by Jack LaLanne
I've spent a lot of Thanksgivings on the road with my band, so anytime that I can spend Thanksgiving with my family in a traditional aspect, eating sweet potatoes and cranberries and stuffing and all the trappings of Thanksgiving and then get on a treadmill the next day extra long, I'm happy. ~ Richie Sambora
Treadmill quotes by Richie Sambora
When I hit my 20s, I took a chill pill and relaxed because throughout my teens I was churning out an album a year. It was a treadmill of work then recording, promoting and touring. ~ Vanessa Mae
Treadmill quotes by Vanessa Mae
If we each get on a treadmill right now, one of two things is going to happen ... either you're going to get off first or I am going to die. Period. ~ Will Smith
Treadmill quotes by Will Smith
Our pool is outdoors, but it's heated, and I've got one of those machines that produces waves you have to swim against; like a jogging treadmill, really, only it's in water. Basically, it means you can have a small pool, swim for miles, and get nowhere. ~ Rupert Penry-Jones
Treadmill quotes by Rupert Penry-Jones
So you like to read? Or listen, anyway?"
"I've found it helps me stay on the treadmill longer. But I always like to have a paperback on hand, too. I need to swing by the bookstore for another one, actually. ~ Cindi Madsen
Treadmill quotes by Cindi Madsen
What was going on? Brickman surmised that, in the case of the lottery winners, they now derived significantly less pleasure from ordinary events like buying clothes or talking to a friend. What was once enjoyable was no longer so. Psychologists call this the "hedonic treadmill." Much like a regular treadmill, the hedonic treadmill makes you sweat and should be avoided at all costs. Unlike a regular treadmill, however, the hedonic variety is definitely not good for your health. It will drive you nuts, this infinite cycle of pleasure and adaptation. Interestingly, there are two notable exceptions to the hedonic treadmill. Noise and big breasts. Studies have found that we never really get used to loud noises, despite prolonged exposure. Another study found that women who get breast implants never tire of the enjoyment it brings them, and presumably their companions feel the same. ~ Eric Weiner
Treadmill quotes by Eric Weiner
I am more of an ambler. I once overheard my old boss in Dublin describe me as very "hello trees, hello flowers." It was intended as an insult and it fulfilled its brief; I was insulted. I had little interest in greeting trees and flowers but nor did I treat life as a treadmill, on which it was vital to keep fleeing forward in order to avoid being sucked off the back and out of the game. ~ Marian Keyes
Treadmill quotes by Marian Keyes
The language of commerce has been engineered to describe the overt purpose of a thing, but cannot encompass fringe benefits or peripheral pleasures. It weighs the obvious against what in its terms are incomprehensible. When I drive from here to there, speed, privacy, control, and safety are easy to claim. When I walk, what happens is more vague, more ambiguous-and in many circumstances much richer. I am out in the world. It's exercise, though not so quantifiably as on a treadmill in a gym with a digital readout. ~ Rebecca Solnit
Treadmill quotes by Rebecca Solnit
I'm making little changes in my life to take care of myself, like putting in a mile or two on my treadmill every day. ~ Paula Deen
Treadmill quotes by Paula Deen
There is no way to step off the tread mill. It is all treadmill. ~ Wallace Stegner
Treadmill quotes by Wallace Stegner
There's not one positive thing about being broke. The worst of it is the day-to-day grind of it all. You never know when that treadmill is finally going to buckle and hurl you into the wall. So you find yourself having to run faster and faster, just to keep from falling off. You can adjust to the hunger and the tiredness for the most part, having to choose between feeding yourself and feeding your electric meter; but one thing you can't adjust to is the nagging anxiety. Whoever designed this loathsome system must think we're all living these wonderful lives where money grows in the palms of our hands.

There's never any reassurance that everything is going to be okay; a promise that tomorrow will be slightly more bearable than today. Every minute of your life is consumed by a relentless feeling that time will only ever lead you to the worst possible outcome. And why - when you haven't eaten a decent meal in two weeks and you've spent the last four days lying on a mattress just to conserve energy - should you believe any differently? ~ Rupert Dreyfus
Treadmill quotes by Rupert Dreyfus
Approaching the treadmill I tell myself, 'Okay, it's just 10 minutes, after that you can get off the thing'. That's no time at all. ~ Jennifer Garner
Treadmill quotes by Jennifer Garner
Every day I spend time on the treadmill. I am walking faster, stronger and harder than I was two months ago. ~ Grete Waitz
Treadmill quotes by Grete Waitz
I'm thinking about the beautiful boy on the treadmill wearing the I STILL HAVE A DREAM T-shirt and realize that it might not have been ironic. ~ Bret Easton Ellis
Treadmill quotes by Bret Easton Ellis
GET ON THE TREADMILL! ~ Jordan Sonnenblick
Treadmill quotes by Jordan Sonnenblick
I normally hit the gym five times a week. I tend to do half an hour of cardio - on the treadmill or a spin class - then head for the weights. I do a lot of core work, obviously! ~ Fleur East
Treadmill quotes by Fleur East
Repeatedly comparing our situation with that of others is a kind of sickness of the mind that brings much unnecessary discontent and frustration. When we have a new source of enjoyment or a new car, we get excited and feel that we are at the top of our game. But we soon get used to it and our excitement subsides; when a new model comes out we become unhappy with the one we have and feel that we can only be satisfied if we get the new one, especially if other people around us have it. We are caught on the "hedonic treadmill" - a concept coined by P. Brinkman and D. T. Campbell.7 While jogging on a treadmill, we need to keep running simply to remain in the same spot. In this case, we need to keep running toward acquiring more things and new sources of excitement simply to maintain our current level of satisfaction. ~ Matthieu Ricard
Treadmill quotes by Matthieu Ricard
Being a wrestler is like walking on the treadmill of life. You get off it and it just keeps going. ~ Randy Savage
Treadmill quotes by Randy Savage
To sentence a man of true genius, to the drudgery of a school is to put a racehorse on a treadmill. ~ Samuel Taylor Coleridge
Treadmill quotes by Samuel Taylor Coleridge
There's always someone to tell you you have to. Wrong. Don't. Rather, spend time finding out who you really are. Work on being more of that. A lot better than the futile gotta change treadmill, which never really ends. ~ Shirley Jones
Treadmill quotes by Shirley Jones
I eat right. I exercise. I run 5 miles a day on the treadmill. ~ Wolf Blitzer
Treadmill quotes by Wolf Blitzer
Time remains a mystery to Margaret. A game of Monopoly can consume an afternoon, and an hour on the treadmill seems like forever. But a lifetime passes in an instant. ~ Hilderbrand, Elin
Treadmill quotes by Hilderbrand, Elin
Gym traumaramas can happen to anyone. One time, I brought a packet of papers to read while jogging on the treadmill. Right when I was in the middle of my run, I dropped them and they flew everywhere! Pages went flying all over the place and got in the way of other people working out. ~ Jenna Ushkowitz
Treadmill quotes by Jenna Ushkowitz
Sentences or solutions occur to me in the shower, or while running on the treadmill, or riding on the subway. ~ Karen Thompson Walker
Treadmill quotes by Karen Thompson Walker
We'll I've gotta tell ya... you're fucking losing your touch... because I seriously can't stomach the idea of your cock getting anywhere near me!" I reply.
"You haven't even seen my cock... how do you know if you want it near you or not?" he laughs.
That almost has me laughing... seriously... but I can hold back the laugh and compose myself... barely. I channel my inner bitch...
"Send me a picture... I'll put it with all the other cocks I collect!" I growl.
That nearly has him falling off the treadmill, but he regains his stride.
Jade conversing with Ben, A Pretty Pill ~ Criss Copp
Treadmill quotes by Criss Copp
I never felt I was missing anything ever until one day I stopped long enough to smell the roses outside of this little treadmill I'd gotten myself onto and I realised there were other things that I like that I didn't know. I realised I didn't like certain things in my life that I then got rid of and it just opened the door to a plethora of other things that entered. ~ Sandra Bullock
Treadmill quotes by Sandra Bullock
As one would expect, the Pope's schedule is quite disciplined - he wakes up at four o'clock each morning and runs on the treadmill for an hour. I'm totally kidding. Nobody's knees have time for that. ~ Jared Brock
Treadmill quotes by Jared Brock
With my divorce, and even during the end of my marriage before it even got publicly bad, how I decided to cope with things was to go on the treadmill for an hour. ~ Khloe Kardashian
Treadmill quotes by Khloe Kardashian
Eventually women will learn there's no such thing as freedom. Their husbands are just as fastened to the deck as they are. Men get onto a treadmill and never got off. ~ Katherine Anne Porter
Treadmill quotes by Katherine Anne Porter
I didn't mean play with you exactly," I said. "I meant…you know, keep you company so you don't feel awkward…you know, like I exercised with you."
"I'll be okay alone in the backyard." He stepped off the treadmill. "I'm going to go shower."
He waited a heartbeat, like he expected me to say I'd be happy to keep him company in the shower, too.
Fortunately, my brain finally kicked in, and I kept my mouth shut. ~ Rachel Hawthorne
Treadmill quotes by Rachel Hawthorne
We're the only species that invents all of this stuff to make our lives easier-like a car so that we don't need to walk-then invents something else to take the place of it, like running on a treadmill. ~ Stephanie Pearl-McPhee
Treadmill quotes by Stephanie Pearl-McPhee
Great leaders possess tremendous long-term clarity about what they're trying to accomplish both personally and in their careers. And it's this long-term perspective that builds character, wisdom, and self-discipline. Long-term thinking is the hallmark of high-performance living, yet it's often neglected in favor of the treadmill of urgent activities of the moment. ~ Tommy Newberry
Treadmill quotes by Tommy Newberry
I want to keep developing. I want to become relaxed in my own work and go deeper. Just growing and studying and trying new things and hopefully having professional access to work that's good and interesting. I don't want to be on the treadmill of artificiality. ~ Gale Harold
Treadmill quotes by Gale Harold
Instead of running for President, why don't you try walking on a treadmill? ~ Jeff Ross
Treadmill quotes by Jeff Ross
And I love it when your hair still wet cause you just took a shower. Runnin on a treadmill and only eating salad. Sound so smart like you graduated college, like you went to Yale but you probably went to Howard. ~ Drake
Treadmill quotes by Drake
Her life was like running on a treadmill or riding on a stationary bike; it was aerobic, it was healthy, but she wasn't going anywhere. ~ Julia Phillips
Treadmill quotes by Julia Phillips
I think of Gisele Bundchen to get myself on the treadmill ~ Emmy Rossum
Treadmill quotes by Emmy Rossum
For me, I exercise every morning. I exercise every day. I work out about an hour and 20 minutes, which is aerobics and resistance training. I work on agility and balance. I work on the things that are going to help my condition. I do agility training. I walk on a treadmill. I use an elliptical. I use weights. ~ Montel Williams
Treadmill quotes by Montel Williams
NINA
Your life is beautiful.

TRIGORIN
I see nothing especially lovely about it. [He looks at his watch] Excuse me, I must go at once, and begin writing again. I am in a hurry. [He laughs] You have stepped on my pet corn, as they say, and I am getting excited, and a little cross. Let us discuss this bright and beautiful life of mine, though. [After a few moments' thought] Violent obsessions sometimes lay hold of a man: he may, for instance, think day and night of nothing but the moon. I have such a moon. Day and night I am held in the grip of one besetting thought, to write, write, write! Hardly have I finished one book than something urges me to write another, and then a third, and then a fourth--I write ceaselessly. I am, as it were, on a treadmill. I hurry for ever from one story to another, and can't help myself. Do you see anything bright and beautiful in that? Oh, it is a wild life! Even now, thrilled as I am by talking to you, I do not forget for an instant that an unfinished story is awaiting me. My eye falls on that cloud there, which has the shape of a grand piano; I instantly make a mental note that I must remember to mention in my story a cloud floating by that looked like a grand piano. I smell heliotrope; I mutter to myself: a sickly smell, the colour worn by widows; I must remember that in writing my next description of a summer evening. I catch an idea in every sentence of yours or of my own, and hasten to lock all these treasures in my lit ~ Anton Chekhov
Treadmill quotes by Anton Chekhov
Many believers' entire lives are reduced to nothing more than a sin management program, running the endless treadmill of trying to please God by doing more for Him or trying to sin less. ~ Paul Silway
Treadmill quotes by Paul Silway
Take your risks now; as you become older, you become more fearful and less flexible. And I mean that literally. I hurt my knee this week on the treadmill, and it wasn't even on. ~ Amy Poehler
Treadmill quotes by Amy Poehler
It's amazing how my mind opens up right when I have to run on the treadmill. I've finished three chapters rather than run a mile. ~ Dan Alatorre
Treadmill quotes by Dan Alatorre
'I scrape under a nail and I pull out dirt. I pull off an overlay and I smell urine. It's the rot of their lives seeping into their nailbeds, you see? They can fix their hair and paint their nails and run on a treadmill until they're anorexia's poster child, but they can't fix their lives ... lives of rotting perfection.' ~ Vicki Pettersson
Treadmill quotes by Vicki Pettersson
I don't run outside, honestly. Sometimes I go out around my house, but mainly it's the stupid treadmill. I wish I had a better answer, but I'm very businesslike about my runs. ~ Drew Carey
Treadmill quotes by Drew Carey
Psychologists sometimes refer to this concept as the 'hedonic treadmill': the idea that we're always working hard to change our life situation, but we actually never feel very different. ~ Mark Manson
Treadmill quotes by Mark Manson
There was nothing now but this empty treadmill of what Clifford called the integrated life, the long living together of two people, who are in the habit of being in the same house with one another.
Nothingness! To accept the great nothingness of life seemed to be the one end of living. All the many busy and important little things that make up the grand sum-total of nothingness! ~ D.H. Lawrence
Treadmill quotes by D.H. Lawrence
if God were to place one of those adoption ads, His might say something like this:

'I'll take the person who feels inadequate and mediocre. I'll take the notorious and unworthy. I'll take the person whose misguided quest for fulfillment has gotten her mired in immorality. I'll take the person who's struggling with unanswered questions. I'll take the person who's on the treadmill of trying to prove she's somebody.

And I'll provide a depth of love that she can't find in empty sexuality. I'll provide the kind of fulfillment that materialism will never buy. I'll offer satisfaction that will endure even when the accolades stop. ~ Lee Strobel
Treadmill quotes by Lee Strobel
Many people are afraid to teach because they don't think they know enough. I hope I've put the lie to that. But also consider this: work in brain science has shown that nothing is better for maintaining your memory and critical thinking skills as you age than continuous learning. And remember, there's no better way to learn than to teach. This is not to mention the threat of obsolescence. As the pace of technological change has quickened, the pace of change throughout all of work life has been cranked up, and those who don't constantly work out on the cognitive treadmill find themselves lapped by the new young things right out of college. Finally, ~ Richie Etwaru
Treadmill quotes by Richie Etwaru
Hallsy is only thirty-nine, and already her face is pulled tight as a pair of Lululemon yoga pants across a plus-size girl's rear. She's never been married, which she'll tell you she never wants to be even though she hangs all over every remotely fuckable guy after a single drink, while they gently untangle her Marshmallow Man arms from around their stiff necks. It's no wonder the only ring on her finger is the Cartier Trinity, what with the way she's ruined her face and the fact that she spends more time sunning on the beach than she should running on a treadmill. But it's not just her sunspot-speckled chest and stocky, lazy frame. Hallsy is the type of person others describe as "whacky" and "kooky," which is just the civilized way of saying she's a nasty cunt. Hallsy she loves me. ~ Jessica Knoll
Treadmill quotes by Jessica Knoll
I've never liked playing golf. I prefer to be on the treadmill to keep in shape. ~ Robert Budi Hartono
Treadmill quotes by Robert Budi Hartono
The problem with the treadmill is I just don't know what to do in my head. You either stare at the mirror or concentrate on the TV. It makes me ill because I can't relax on a treadmill. ~ Jamie Bamber
Treadmill quotes by Jamie Bamber
Happiness is a treadmill of a goal for people who are not happy by nature. Being an unhappy person does not mean you must be sad or dark. You can be interested instead of happy. ~ Augusten Burroughs
Treadmill quotes by Augusten Burroughs
There's very little that worrying can do to help our situations. Worrying is like running on a treadmill…it gives us an opportunity to sweat but gets us absolutely nowhere. Worrying skews our reality, suppresses the immune system, promotes coronary disease, and plagues us with digestive problems. It's clear…when the soul is heavy the body feels the weight. Do yourself a favor. Lighten up. Take a deep breath, clear your mind and focus your energy on the things you can change rather than on the things you can't. Worry is the enemy of optimism and personal progress.
progress. ~ Jason Versey
Treadmill quotes by Jason Versey
If ever you feel like you're on a treadmill and not progressing; if you feel like you just can't get ahead; it may be time to take a look at yourself. When you get tired of trying to do it YOUR way, do yourself a favor and try THE WAY: Christ Jesus. ~ Gene Thornton
Treadmill quotes by Gene Thornton
The paradox of being a professional artist. How we spend our lives trying to express ourselves well, but we have nothing to tell. We want creativity to be a system of cause and effect. Results. Marketable product. We want dedication and discipline to equal recognition and reward. We get on our art school treadmill, our graduate program for a master's in fine arts, and practice, practice, practice. With all our excellent skills, we have nothing special to document. .... Nothing pisses us off more than when some strung-out drug addict, a lazy bum, or a slobbering pervert creates a masterpiece. As if by accident. Some idiot who's not afraid to say what they really love. ~ Chuck Palahniuk
Treadmill quotes by Chuck Palahniuk
There is nothing like having to change your physical form to put you in contact with every weak part of yourself, to train yourself in discipline. Put somebody on a treadmill and I'll tell you how good they are at any other thing they do in life. ~ Will Smith
Treadmill quotes by Will Smith
I used a lot of what we call the "Shred-mill." It's like a treadmill, but you're basically running up hill and it's getting faster as you go. It definitely helped at the combine because it teaches you drive phases, how to pump your arms and how to use different aspects of your body. ~ Calvin Pryor
Treadmill quotes by Calvin Pryor
Lies are like a treadmill with no off switch. You have to keep walking or you'll fall off. ~ Iris St. Clair
Treadmill quotes by Iris St. Clair
I know a man who drives 600 yards to work. I know a woman who gets in her car to go a quarter of a mile to a college gymnasium to walk on a treadmill, then complains passionately about the difficulty of finding a parking space. When I asked her once why she didn't walk to the gym and do five minutes less on the treadmill, she looked at me as if I were being willfully provocative. 'Because I have a program for the treadmill,' she explained. 'It records my distance and speed, and I can adjust it for degree of difficulty.' It hadn't occurred to me how thoughtlessly deficient nature is in this regard. ~ Bill Bryson
Treadmill quotes by Bill Bryson
If we feel we cannot strike the right notes anymore and are not capable of forging ahead through the enticing pastures of our dreams, we must wisely put the treadmill on hold. So, let's tame the inflated demands of greed for a while and look at our deeper self with compassion.("The empty Mirror") ~ Erik Pevernagie
Treadmill quotes by Erik Pevernagie
Your progress as a runner is a frustratingly slow process of small gains. It's a matter of inching up your mileage and your pace. It's a matter of learning to celebrate the small gains as if they were Olympic victories. It means paying your dues on the road or the treadmill. It means searching for the limits of your body and demanding that your spirit not give up. It means making the most of what you have. It means making yourself an athlete one workout at a time. ~ John Bingham
Treadmill quotes by John Bingham
The part of the brain that is watching the television and is on the computer at the same time, preparing to jump onto the treadmill for 15 minutes, might be able to lead into sex, but it would be hard put to lead us to romance, or to real authentic human connection. ~ Marianne Williamson
Treadmill quotes by Marianne Williamson
I want to know how to feel good while I'm in the gym, because I'm mad while I'm on the treadmill. I've got that angry-lady face the entire time. ~ Sherri Shepherd
Treadmill quotes by Sherri Shepherd
Expect the hedonic treadmill

Take time to enjoy the journey towards your goal while also being mindful that achieving your goal will not fulfil you completely.

Expect and understand that reaching your goal might make you happy - but only for a while. We continuously raise the bar for what we want or feel we need in order to be happy. ~ Meik Wiking
Treadmill quotes by Meik Wiking
Television can become a bit of a treadmill for directors. You come in, nobody knows you, the actors are already doing what they're doing, and you're just one of a number of directors who comes in. ~ Michael J. Bassett
Treadmill quotes by Michael J. Bassett
He'd [Steve Burd] gotten hooked on the subject after realizing that Safeway's rising medical costs threatened to someday bankrupt the company if he didn't do something to tame them. He'd pioneered innovative wellness and preventive health programs for his employees and became an advocate for universal health coverage, making him one of the only Republican CEOs to embrace many of the tenets of Obamacare. Like Dr. J, he was serious about his own health. He worked out on a treadmill at five every morning and lifted weights in the evenings after dinner. ~ John Carreyrou
Treadmill quotes by John Carreyrou
Why not remove his desk, bring in a treadmill, hang a carrot from the ceiling and stop all pretense already. ~ Colson Whitehead
Treadmill quotes by Colson Whitehead
I don't eat too much. I don't have a lot of time, but I can get in a little treadmill. I eat healthily just because it's good for me, and running after my three kids takes a lot of energy. ~ Kimora Lee Simmons
Treadmill quotes by Kimora Lee Simmons
The horse on the treadmill may be very discontented, but he is not disposed to tell his troubles, for he cannot stop to talk. ~ Nellie L. McClung
Treadmill quotes by Nellie L. McClung
You can be on treadmill for so long and run alot, get fit but you can't reach anywhere. ~ Dinkar Kalotra
Treadmill quotes by Dinkar Kalotra
We're strange creatures, we humans. At one level, we just want to eat, drink, play, and acquire more stuff. But life on the hedonic treadmill is ultimately dissatisfying. A beautiful remedy is to hop off it and instead begin pursuing an idea that's bigger than you are. ~ Chris Anderson
Treadmill quotes by Chris Anderson
I do a lot of stairs, a lot of planks, a lot of squats, a lot of treadmill, a lot of screaming - and I do it four times a week. ~ Sherri Shepherd
Treadmill quotes by Sherri Shepherd
Be alive, vital
Ride the waves of turbulence
Embrace Earth's sacred ground
Listen to vehicles carrying souls
between forgotten dreams
and the promise of a place warm and secure
Perpetual motion
Our lives' treadmill, crushing experiences into sweet soul nectar
Culminating in love's powerful fulfilment and peace ~ Ramon Ravenswood
Treadmill quotes by Ramon Ravenswood
But I have this feeling, suddenly, that I'm on a too-fast treadmill--like things are moving so quickly, I might slide off the back end. ~ Becky Albertalli
Treadmill quotes by Becky Albertalli
..it just seems that I am running on a purposeless treadmill, behind and paralyzed in science, dreading every day of the horrible year ahead when I should be reveling in my major. ~ Sylvia Plath
Treadmill quotes by Sylvia Plath
Had our tour group sat down to draw up a manifesto, it might have gone something like this. We the young, urban, middle class tend to lead a rushed life working for corporates that care more for their bottom-lines than for their employees or the environment. As stressed, unfulfilled, moneyed individuals we then seek satiety in consumption, a treadmill which, besides drawing us further into the same trap, is environmentally unsustainable and has far-reaching consequences. If we would only be willing to to lead a slower, simpler life, we might not have all the shiny stuff, but our work might be better aligned with our talents and dispositions, and we would have opportunity and time to introspect, explore, and lead more fulfilling lives. Everyone would then be growing according their own genius. ~ Srinath Perur
Treadmill quotes by Srinath Perur
The last two years with the Eagles were pretty intense times. There was a lot of drinking and we were all getting high a lot. My parents were relieved when I got off the Eagles treadmill. ~ Glenn Frey
Treadmill quotes by Glenn Frey
April 11, 2004
Does anyone know where I can find a copy of the rules of thought, feeling, and behavior in these circumstances? It seems like there should be a rule book somewhere that lays out everything exactly the way one should respond to a loss like this. I'd surely like to know if I'm doing it right. Am I whining enough or too much? Am I unseemly in my occasional moments of lightheartedness? At what date and I supposed to turn off the emotion and jump back on the treadmill of normalcy? Is there a specific number of days or decades that must pass before I can do something I enjoy without feeling I've betrayed my dearest love? And when, oh when, am I ever really going to believe this has happened? Next time you're in a bookstore, as if there's a rule book.
