Again, God's Word gives us perfect advice on how we should think. So in the midst of our struggle with indwelling sin, we must continually keep our focus on the gospel. Love is the most easily dismissed of God's commandments and characteristics. Christians sometimes seem to say, "Of course we should love people, we all know that. So now let's get on with what we really want to do - fight about theology!" But love is the central Christian ethic, it's the heartbeat of the church.
