You live in a world at war. Spiritual attack must be a category you think in or you will misunderstand more than half of what happens in your marriage. ~ John Eldredge
Spiritual Attack quotes by John Eldredge
Demonic spirits never sleep or take a vacation, always plotting and waiting for the next offensive. ~ E.A. Bucchianeri
Spiritual Attack quotes by E.A. Bucchianeri
As I love and accept myself exactly as I am, right here and right now with all my so-called flaws and imperfections, I find it easier to accept others in the same way. As I open my consciousness to tap into unconditional love, I connect with new levels of spiritual power. I see a blanket of benevolence covering the planet, helping to transform Earth's consciousness from fear to love. ~ Louise Hay
Spiritual Attack quotes by Louise Hay
Good karmas are an illusion and bad karmas are also an illusion. Despite this, I am not telling you to stop doing good karma. Going from bad to good is a good thing. However, in spite of doing good; the illusion doesn't go away. True religion begins after the illusion has gone away. ~ Dada Bhagwan
Spiritual Attack quotes by Dada Bhagwan
The person performing the experiment becomes the object of the experiment himself; this is known as the illusion! ~ Dada Bhagwan
Spiritual Attack quotes by Dada Bhagwan
Losing my faith was the most spiritual thing that ever happened to me. ~ Julia Sweeney
Spiritual Attack quotes by Julia Sweeney
There are, on the other hand, very great men, very holy men, very pure men in every way, whose knowledge is wide and vast and deep, whose spiritual stature is great; but when they reach Buddhahood, instead of feeling the call of almighty love to return and help those who have gone less far, they go ahead into the supernal light - pass onwards and enter the unspeakable bliss of nirvana - and leave mankind behind. Such are the Pratyeka Buddhas. Though exalted, nevertheless they do not rank in unutterable sublimity with the Buddhas of Compassion.

The Pratyeka Buddha, he who achieves Buddhahood for himself, does not do it selfishly, however; does not do it merely in order to gratify self, and he does no harm to others; if he did he could never reach even his solitary Buddhahood. But he does it and achieves nirvana automatically, so to speak, following the lofty impulses of his being. Nevertheless he leaves the world behind enslaved in the chains of matter and forgotten by him.

The Pratyeka Buddha concentrates on the one thing - self-advancement for spiritual ends. It is a noble path in a way, but although it is a more rapid path, nevertheless being essentially a selfish path, the karmic records will show deeper lines ultimately to be wiped out than will those of the other striver after the spiritual life who follows the path of complete self-renunciation, and who even gives up all hope of self-advancement. The latter is of course by far the nobler path ~ G. De Purucker
Spiritual Attack quotes by G. De Purucker
I do not suppose she had ever really cared for her husband, and what I had taken for love was no more than the feminine response to caresses and comfort which in the minds of most women passes for it. It is a passive feeling capable of being roused for any object, as the vine can grow on any tree; and the wisdom of the world recognises its strength when it urges a girl to marry the man who wants her with the assurance that love will follow. It is an emotion made up of the satisfaction of security, pride of property, the pleasure of being desired, the gratification of a household, and it is only by an amiable vanity that women ascribe to it spiritual value. It is an emotion which is defenceless against passion. ~ W. Somerset Maugham
Spiritual Attack quotes by W. Somerset Maugham
We cannot be content with an evangelism which does not lead to the drawing of converts into the church, nor with a church order whose principle of cohesion is a superficial social camaraderie instead of a spiritual fellowship with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. ~ John Stott
Spiritual Attack quotes by John Stott
The shadows are deepening all around us. Now is the time when we must begin to see our world and ourselves in a different way. ~ Madeleine L'Engle
Spiritual Attack quotes by Madeleine L'Engle
The Artist's Way is a spiritual journey, a pilrimage home to the self. ~ Julia Cameron
Spiritual Attack quotes by Julia Cameron
When our Lord says, we must be converted and become as little children, I suppose he means also, that we must be sensible of our weakness, comparatively speaking, as a little child. ~ George Whitefield
Spiritual Attack quotes by George Whitefield
Buddha's Wife tells a fascinating story, little known in the west, about the woman whom Buddha left behind. Gabriel Constans focuses the reader's attention on the strong and complicated women who surrounded Buddha and makes us re-think the nature of spiritual life. ~ Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni
Spiritual Attack quotes by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni
He had hoped she would assume he had succumbed again to methamphetamine hydrochloride and was sparing her the agony of his descent back into the hell of chemical dependence. What it really was was that he had again decided those 50 grams of resin-soaked dope, which had been so potent that on the second day it had given him an anxiety attack so paralyzing that he had gone to the bathroom in a Tufts University commemorative ceramic stein to avoid leaving his bedroom, represented his very last debauch ever with dope, and that he had to cut himself off from all possible future sources of temptation and supply, ~ David Foster Wallace
Spiritual Attack quotes by David Foster Wallace
See, Don, I have this question, and I hope you'll be honest with me."
He pulled at the end of his eyebrow. "I think you know you can count on my honesty."
"Can I?" I asked with an edge. "All right, then tell me: How long have you been fucking me?"
That caused him to stop tugging his brow. "I don't know what you're saying - "
"Because if I was going to fuck you," I interrupted, "I'd get a bottle of gin, some Frank Sinatra music ... and a crash cart for the heart attack you'd have. But you, Don, you've been fucking me for years now, and I haven't gotten any liquor, music, flowers,
candy, or anything! ~ Jeaniene Frost
Spiritual Attack quotes by Jeaniene Frost
It is right that you should begin again every day. There is no better way to complete the spiritual life than to be ever beginning it over again. ~ Saint Francis De Sales
Spiritual Attack quotes by Saint Francis De Sales
When God leads you to it, He will give it to you. ~ Lailah Gifty Akita
Spiritual Attack quotes by Lailah Gifty Akita
There is, I believe, no such thing as unconditional self-acceptance. Those who say so are promulgating a pernicious lie. One must first live a decent, honorable and productive life. Only then do you get to feel good about yourself.
Seeking to heedlessly gratify your desires or impulses of the moment to do things (or fail to do things) your conscience knows to be contrary to your standards of right, worthy and virtuous behavior is, in a mental, emotional and spiritual sense, akin to spending capital that you have not earned, and therefore will eventually cause you to feel very negatively ... about who and what you are. You cannot in the long run have your cake and eat it too. The longer ... you behave in certain ways, the more it comes to define you, not only to others, but also to yourself. ~ Laura C. Schlessinger
Spiritual Attack quotes by Laura C. Schlessinger
I wanted to write something that was very entertaining to read. The hardest part of this novel [The Yoga of Max's Discontent] was how to make a deeply spiritual transformation journey page-turning and adventurous. That was the hardest part to crack for me. ~ Karan Bajaj
Spiritual Attack quotes by Karan Bajaj
Food to a large extent is what holds a society together, and eating is closely linked to deep spiritual experiences. ~ Peter Farb
Spiritual Attack quotes by Peter Farb
Climbing Jacob's Ladder is a gutsy, glowing account of one man's encounter with a potent spiritual practice and how it transformed his life. This is a precious book - that rare combination of solid wisdom and good literature. ~ Larry Dossey
Spiritual Attack quotes by Larry Dossey
Your aura has nothing to do with colors or foods you like." She smiled. "Yellow can mean spiritual. And brown I associate with good sense, practical. Someone grounded in reality. I see your aura as being very spiritual but also very practical. Now mind you, that is my interpretation. For each person, colors mean a different thing. ~ Patricia Cornwell
Spiritual Attack quotes by Patricia Cornwell
I have a cousin who is a spiritual advisor for Native veterans in Canada, so I'm very familiar with the history of Natives in the military. And growing up as an American Indian myself, the story of Ira Hayes is one that is often told. ~ Adam Beach
Spiritual Attack quotes by Adam Beach
To accept yourself wherever. you are ... And don't think in terms of competition! You need not be anywhere else. Wherever you are, if you can be happy there, you have become religious, you have become spiritual. Spirituality knows no competition, spirituality knows no greed, spirituality knows no ambition - because spirituality means desirelessness. ~ Rajneesh
Spiritual Attack quotes by Rajneesh
Life is a sacred bliss. ~ Lailah Gifty Akita
Spiritual Attack quotes by Lailah Gifty Akita
Attack wins you games, defence wins you titles. ~ Alex Ferguson
Spiritual Attack quotes by Alex Ferguson
The inner attitude of the heart is far more crucial than the mechanics for coming into the reality of the spiritual life. ~ Richard J. Foster
Spiritual Attack quotes by Richard J. Foster
I'm not so sure he's wrong about automobiles," he said, "With all their speed forward they may be a step backward for civilization-that is, spiritual civilization ... But automobiles have come, and they bring a greater change in our life than most of us expect. They are here, and almost all outward things are going to be different because of what they bring. They are going to alter war, and they are going to alter peace. ~ Booth Tarkington
Spiritual Attack quotes by Booth Tarkington
Our practices - our most spiritual practices - are hanging laundry on the line, raising children, building strong relationships, practicing kindness as much as we can, striving for excellence in the workplace, and developing deeper self-knowledge. I wrote The Four Purposes of Life to assist in these endeavors. ~ Dan Millman
Spiritual Attack quotes by Dan Millman
Know that you are a spark of God and can exist fully only within the realization of that profound truth. As such, you are a light and inspiration to others. ~ Harold Klemp
Spiritual Attack quotes by Harold Klemp
The fear of being alone is a great obstacle to attracting the relationship that is right for you. ~ Charles F. Glassman
Spiritual Attack quotes by Charles F. Glassman
SNEAK AROUND IN LIFE
NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU TIP TOE
THE SPIRITUAL WOOD FLOORS CREAK
LOUDER AND LOUDER NO MATTER HOW HARD
YOU TRY SNEAK IN SILENCE.
THAT'S WHEN YOU REALIZE ...
"SNEAKING IS NOISY"
AND S.I.N IS LOUD!!!! ~ Qwana M. BabyGirl Reynolds-Frasier
Spiritual Attack quotes by Qwana M. BabyGirl Reynolds-Frasier
Those who wish to change things may face disappointment, loss, or even ridicule. If you are ahead of your time, people laugh as often as they applaud, and being there first is usually lonely. But our protection cannot come between us and our purpose. Right protection is something within us rather than something between us and the world, more about finding a place of refuge and strength than finding a hiding place. ~ Rachel Naomi Remen
Spiritual Attack quotes by Rachel Naomi Remen
You're a great brother. You give us a heart attack worrying about your heart attack, which you didn't even have the decency to have! ~ Groucho Marx
Spiritual Attack quotes by Groucho Marx
Too many disciples have faith in their faith, or in their joy in the Lord; and when a spiritual storm comes, they have neither faith nor joy. Only one thing can endure, and that is love for God. If such love is not there, we will not recognize the loving voice of God when He cries out to us that He is "our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble ... be still, and know that I am God ... " (Ps. 46:1, 10a). ~ Oswald Chambers
Spiritual Attack quotes by Oswald Chambers
Breakfast was the full whammy: eggs, rashers, sausages, black pudding, fried bread, fried tomatoes. This was clearly some kind of statement, but I couldn't work out whether it was See, we're doing just grand without you, or I'm still slaving my fingers to the bone for you even though you don't deserve it, or possibly We'll be even when this lot gives you a heart attack. ~ Tana French
Spiritual Attack quotes by Tana French
I hear people say all the time, "I'm not really religious, but I consider myself spiritual." I definitely have always been spiritual, being raised by my grandmother on that little acre in Mississippi, indoctrinated, born into the church and the ways of the church. ~ Oprah Winfrey
Spiritual Attack quotes by Oprah Winfrey
I like the monastic life ... in the prayer and the praising ... this has charged me with new energy, spiritual energy. This is very important for my ministry outside the monastery. ~ Pope Theodoros II
Spiritual Attack quotes by Pope Theodoros II
Yet all attackers benefit from the asymmetric nature of the technology: the defender must build a perfect wall to keep out all intruders, while the offense need find only one chink in the armor through which to attack. ~ Marc Goodman
