Wednesday has been canceled due to a scheduling error. ~ Joseph Fink
Scheduling quotes by Joseph Fink
When scheduling a new habit, it helps to tie it to an existing habit, such as "after breakfast," or to an external cue, such as "when my alarm rings," because without such a trigger, it's easy to forget to do the new action. ~ Gretchen Rubin
Scheduling quotes by Gretchen Rubin
What motivates people to be late? ... Some people are drawn to the adrenaline rush of that last-minute sprint to the finish line. Others receive an ego boost from over-scheduling and filling each moment with an activity. ~ Harvey MacKay
Scheduling quotes by Harvey MacKay
In a film there a lot of people scheduling, you know. ~ Philip Seymour Hoffman
Scheduling quotes by Philip Seymour Hoffman
Soon, nobody was leaving their cubicles to talk anymore, and we were either e-mailing each other random thoughts or scheduling meetings, or speaking over an instant message chat. ~ Christopher Herz
Scheduling quotes by Christopher Herz
These elements are important for several reasons. First, offers in service negotiations may require the binding of existing regulatory situations, and countries should avoid scheduling legally binding measures that domestic regulators do not find adequate or fully developed. ~ Sebastian Saez
Scheduling quotes by Sebastian Saez
I tend to be pretty efficient with my time. I work on a novel for four to five hours a day, and then the rest of my day is spent doing other things, whether it's spending time with my family, or going through and making notes on the script, or working on the marketing. It's just a matter of scheduling. ~ Nicholas Sparks
Scheduling quotes by Nicholas Sparks
If our family was an airline, Mom was the hub and we were the spokes. You rarely went anywhere nonstop; you went via Mom, who directed the traffic flow and determined the priorities: which family member was cleared for takeoff or landing. Even my father was not immune to Mom's scheduling, though he was given more leeway than the rest of us. ~ Will Schwalbe
Scheduling quotes by Will Schwalbe
The sched_setscheduler() system call changes both the scheduling policy and the priority of the process whose process ID is specified in pid. If pid is specified as 0, the attributes of the calling process are changed. ~ Michael Kerrisk
Scheduling quotes by Michael Kerrisk
I think more dating stuff is scheduling. It's needing people who understand your work schedule. ~ Jennifer Love Hewitt
Scheduling quotes by Jennifer Love Hewitt
I was going to have Brian La Croix do a cameo on Degrassi. But, unfortunately, the scheduling didn't work out. When I was in Toronto, they weren't shooting. To me, that would've been a pretty crazy meta experience. ~ Nick Kroll
Scheduling quotes by Nick Kroll
As we drank champagne in the lounge, I explained that I had earned special privileges by being particularly vigilant and observant of rules and procedures on previous flights, and by making a substantial number of helpful suggestions regarding check-in procedures, flight scheduling, pilot training, and ways in which security systems might be subverted. I was no longer expected to offer advice, having contributed enough for a lifetime of flying. ~ Graeme Simsion
Scheduling quotes by Graeme Simsion
'Efficient' scheduling and control of time are often counterproductive. The efficiency focus creates expectations that clash with the opportunities to develop rich relationships, to meet human needs, and to enjoy spontaneous moments on a daily basis. ~ Stephen Covey
Scheduling quotes by Stephen Covey
[The Head of Radio Three] had been ensnared by the Music Director of the college and a Professor of Philosophy. These two were busy explaining to the harassed man that the phrase "too much Mozart" was, given any reasonable definition of those three words, an inherently self-contradictory expression, and that any sentence which contained such a phrase would be thereby rendered meaningless and could not, consequently, be advanced as part of an argument in favour of any given programme-scheduling strategy. ~ Douglas Adams
Scheduling quotes by Douglas Adams
Delaying gratification is a process of scheduling the pain and pleasure of life in such a way as to enhance the pleasure of life in such a way as to enhance the pleasure by meeting and experiencing the pain first and getting it over with. It is the only decent way to live. ~ M. Scott Peck
Scheduling quotes by M. Scott Peck
I am often slow in catching up to the times, but even so, I still cannot even grip this idea: With nothing more than pitocin in your IV drip, you can sooner control the date and time of the birth of a human being
the gushing entry into the great blue world of a whole new person
than you can the scheduling of a few line cooks in your operation. ~ Gabrielle Hamilton
Scheduling quotes by Gabrielle Hamilton
I think the biggest thing for me now is that I have a better understanding of what to expect as far as things go and the scheduling. Your first year is a little crazy because you are preparing for the draft and don't know where you will be playing. ~ Giovani Bernard
Scheduling quotes by Giovani Bernard
[W]hen it's slow, they send you home, and when it's busy, they expect you to stay late. They also expect you to be able to come in to cover someone's shift if a co-worker gets sick at the last minute. Basically, they're expecting you to be available to work all the time. Scheduling is impossible. ~ Linda Tirado
Scheduling quotes by Linda Tirado
Our tactics were an amazing complexity of middling targets, inconsistent scheduling, and waffling commitment. ~ Bernie Fipp
Scheduling quotes by Bernie Fipp
I had very clever producers, who scheduled it brilliantly, but scheduling it was a nightmare. ~ John Crowley
Scheduling quotes by John Crowley
Scheduling me is not easy, as most people know, because once I start, I don't stop. ~ Donna Karan
Scheduling quotes by Donna Karan
The fight against unfair scheduling is like the fight for a regulated work day - it's people fighting for reasonable conditions at work and to have a life, so you can have some leisure. ~ Rachel Holmes
Scheduling quotes by Rachel Holmes
You would think that, by sheer chance, there would come a time when you daughter's two dances would be close together, ideally near the beginning. But the dance studio makes sure this never happens, using the same computer scheduling program that the cable-TV company uses to make sure that the technician, for whom you have been waiting eleven hours, rings your doorbell only when you have just commenced pooping. ~ Dave Barry
Scheduling quotes by Dave Barry
Perhaps, even in love, freedom can still be considered sweeter than peace. That is to say that, you are capable of scheduling and re-scheduling your plans without waiting for the approval of any third-party. ~ Mwanandeke Kindembo
Scheduling quotes by Mwanandeke Kindembo
With technology and over-scheduling, we are forgetting to invest time in simple connective moments with others. ~ Michelle Gielan
Scheduling quotes by Michelle Gielan
I don't think that scheduling is uncreative. I think that structure is required for creativity. ~ Twyla Tharp
Scheduling quotes by Twyla Tharp
Scheduling is always tough, no matter what the budget size is, and we had our own run-ins with that on 'Fading of the Cries.' ~ Thomas Ian Nicholas
Scheduling quotes by Thomas Ian Nicholas
I've been chained to my bathroom scale for two decades now. I've used the number on my scale to tell me if I'm valuable or not. I've let the number on my scale destroy many beautiful opportunities in my life such as scheduling family photos, having fun at the beach, or giving myself 100% in intimacy. I've let the number on the scale tell me if I should be confident in who I am. I've let the number on the scale tell me if I am worthy of kind thoughts from others. Ultimately, I've always let some ridiculous number on the bathroom scale tell me whether or not I should love myself. ~ Dan Pearce
Scheduling quotes by Dan Pearce
Having plans sounds like a good idea - until you have to put on clothes and leave your house. ~ Jill Shalvis
Scheduling quotes by Jill Shalvis
With scheduling and the way projects come up, I take the first thing that interests me and that moves me. If it's going to be fun, if I'm going to have a good time, and I'm going to enjoy the people I'm with, then that's a good enough reason to do it. ~ Nathan Fillion
Scheduling quotes by Nathan Fillion
Tonight the thoughts were about how to end things, with a heavy emphasis on the how. The process of suicide isn't exactly easy. It takes preparation, scheduling, and a certain level-headedness to kill yourself. A person has to be ready for it. He has to make the necessary plans, take the necessary steps. And, most importantly, he has to not only feel like dying, but also like killing. And the two feelings couldn't be more different. ~ Michael Anthony
Scheduling quotes by Michael Anthony
SCHEDULING. Now you can look at the week ahead with your goals in mind and schedule time to achieve them. For example, if your goal is to produce the first draft of your personal mission statement, you may want to set aside a two-hour block of time on Sunday to work on it. Sunday (or some other day of the week that is special to you, your faith, or your circumstances) is often the ideal time to plan your more personally uplifting activities, including weekly organizing. It's a good time to draw back, to seek inspiration, to look at your life in the context of principles and values. If you set a goal to become physically fit through exercise, you may want to set aside an hour three or four days during the week, or possibly every day during the week, to accomplish that goal. There are some goals that you may only be able to accomplish ~ Stephen R. Covey
Scheduling quotes by Stephen R. Covey
I hike every day with my dog, after the kids are off to school. I tend to get wrapped up in all the things that need to be done during the day, so I really am strict about setting that time aside for myself and not scheduling anything before eleven, so I can get my hike in. ~ Natalie Maines
Scheduling quotes by Natalie Maines
One very important key to maintaining our daily sanity is a simple scheduling tactic I call Putting Things the Hell Off. ~ Ian Frazier
Scheduling quotes by Ian Frazier
Avoid hyper-scheduling yourself so you have free time to do something creative or perhaps to do nothing at all. ~ Melissa Steginus
Scheduling quotes by Melissa Steginus
Elizabeth Mattis-Namgyel, when asked how to strike a better balance between family, work and self-realisation says: You need the intention, good scheduling, and you have to be creative. If you don't find time to practice, one of the three is missing. ~ Elizabeth Mattis-Namgyel
Scheduling quotes by Elizabeth Mattis-Namgyel
You could argue they'd lost their way, in their choices, their work, their marriage. But the truth was, there wasn't any way. There was just day after day, small stuff, idle conversation, scheduling. And then after a couple of decades it somehow added up to something, for good or for ill or for both. ~ Anna Quindlen
Scheduling quotes by Anna Quindlen
Many strategies help us change our habits, and four strategies tower above the others: Monitoring, Foundation, Scheduling, and Accountability. ~ Gretchen Rubin
Scheduling quotes by Gretchen Rubin
My wife also contributed to my poison ivy education. She taught me women have an aversion to 'red, bumpy men' and are not the least bit aroused by any part of the male anatomy which happens to be infected. However, this was not a problem. My infestation was so severe, the act of scratching produced orgasmic waves of delight that made me consider scheduling weekly au naturel pilgrimages through lush, rolling fields of the devil vine. ~ Michael Gurnow
Scheduling quotes by Michael Gurnow
THE FINAL LESSON is this: both in canoes and in life, it behooves us to give ourselves time to cool off before we DECIDE to take any action. If we don't, our DECISION might just crash into the future. And finally, should you ever think about scheduling a makeup session on top of mine, remember how I DECIDED to respond last time. I am not saying I would do it again, but when emotions take over, who knows? ~ Dan Ariely
Scheduling quotes by Dan Ariely
Weekly Check-Ins

Instead of focusing on your anxiety all the time, try scheduling a weekly check-in session with yourself. Clients who have been coming to sessions weekly often just put that same day and time aside. Instead of meeting with me, they meet with themselves. You can do the same.
Pick a time and place that will work for you to do your weekly check-in. Start a notebook (or use the note-taking app on your phone) in which you can record things you might want to address during your weekly check-in. When it comes time for your check-in, use the list as your agenda. If you have lots of issues that come up during the week and end up with a long agenda, just pick the one or two that seem most important to work through.
This process will allow you to take some time to focus on any anxiety-driven issues that occurred during the week that you didn't get a chance to deal with as they happened or where you tried something but it didn't seem to do the trick. Remember to include behavioral traps, like overworking or avoidance coping, if these have occurred during the week.
For each issue, go back to what seems like the most relevant chapter and try a solution from that chapter. For example, if you noticed yourself ruminating about a problem but didn't take problem-solving action (meaning you didn't move from thinking about the problem to taking a behavioral action), you might try defining your problem, generating a list of your best three to six options ~ Alice Boyes
Scheduling quotes by Alice Boyes
What's more, sports are not, of course, always designed strictly to minimize the number of games. Without remembering this, some aspects of sports scheduling would otherwise seem mysterious to a computer scientist. ~ Brian Christian
Scheduling quotes by Brian Christian
Scheduling down time as part of your routine is hard but worth it, personally, even professionally. ~ Daniel Goleman
Scheduling quotes by Daniel Goleman
Lebanon is restless, Syria got its walking papers, Egypt is scheduling elections with more than one candidate, and even Saudi Arabia, whose rulers are perhaps more terrified of women than rulers anywhere else in the world, allowed limited municipal elections. ~ Suzanne Fields
Scheduling quotes by Suzanne Fields
The scheduling thing is really weird with TV shows. Certain projects haven't been able to work out because of the schedule, so some of it is out of your control. You don't have very many opportunities. There isn't much time, so you want to make sure you're going to be doing something that you really feel good about or that you're going to have a good creative experience doing. You're taking up vacation time from your job, so you want it to be meaningful. ~ Ty Burrell
Scheduling quotes by Ty Burrell
It's also unfortunate that meetings are typically scheduled like TV shows. You set aside thirty minutes or an hour because that's how scheduling software works (you'll never see anyone schedule a seven-minute meeting with Outlook). Too bad. If it only takes seven minutes to accomplish a meeting's goal, then that's all the time you should spend. Don't stretch seven into thirty. ~ Anonymous
Scheduling quotes by Anonymous
It is interesting to note that the original problem that started my research is still outstanding - namely the problem of planning or scheduling dynamically over time, particularly planning dynamically under uncertainty. If such a problem could be successfully solved it could eventually through better planning contribute to the well-being and stability of the world. ~ George Dantzig
Scheduling quotes by George Dantzig
Consider scheduling a daily meeting with your new executive. Require them to bring a comprehensive set of questions about everything they heard that day but did not completely understand. ~ Ben Horowitz
Scheduling quotes by Ben Horowitz
The vast majority of chatter surrounding parenthood is junk. All of these seemingly divisive decisions - like pain meds in labor, newborn sleep arrangements, and scheduling - are often phrased as moral imperatives from both sides. Screw that. Take care of your kid. Do what works. ~ J.J. Keith
Scheduling quotes by J.J. Keith
One down, fifteen to go. ~ Marcus Trescothick
Scheduling quotes by Marcus Trescothick
For instance, in The Artist's Way, her influential book about cultivating creativity, Julia Cameron suggests scheduling an artist's date, ~ Gretchen Rubin
Scheduling quotes by Gretchen Rubin
Scheduling chatter is merely one of the many forms of useless banter that makes dating in the digital age so frustrating, especially for women over twenty-five, since they have less patience for constant text exchanges. ~ Aziz Ansari
Scheduling quotes by Aziz Ansari
I had gotten the role of Fandral in Thor, but scheduling conflicts (with Chuck) prevented that from going forward. ~ Zachary Levi
Scheduling quotes by Zachary Levi
Rose was patently a degenerate. Nature, in scheduling his characteristics, had pruned all superlatives. The rude armour of the flesh, under which the spiritual, like a hide-bound chrysalis, should develop secret and self-contained, was perished in his case, as it were, to a semi-opaque suit, through which his soul gazed dimly and fearfully on its monstrous arbitrary surroundings. Not the mantle of the poet, philosopher, or artist fallen upon such, can still its shiverings, or give the comfort that Nature denies.

Yet he was a little bit of each - poet, philosopher, and artist; a nerveless and self-deprecatory stalker of ideals, in the pursuit of which he would wear patent leather shoes and all the apologetic graces. The grandson of a 'three-bottle' J.P., who had upheld the dignity of the State constitution while abusing his own in the best spirit of squirearchy; the son of a petulant dyspeptic, who alternated seizures of long moroseness with fits of abject moral helplessnes, Amos found his inheritance in the reversion of a dissipated constitution, and an imagination as sensitive as an exposed nerve. Before he was thirty he was a neurasthenic so practised, as to have learned a sense of luxury in the very consciousness of his own suffering. It was a negative evolution from the instinct of self-protection - self-protection, as designed in this case, against the attacks of the unspeakable.

("The Accursed Cordonnier") ~ Bernard Capes
Scheduling quotes by Bernard Capes
These two were busy explaining to the harassed man that the phrase "too much Mozart" was, given any reasonable definition of those three words, an inherently self-contradictory expression, and that any sentence which contained such a phrase would be thereby rendered meaningless and could not, consequently, be advanced as part of an argument in favor of any given program-scheduling strategy. ~ Douglas Adams
Scheduling quotes by Douglas Adams
You have the choice to either pray then plan or pray and wait; but keep in mind miracles are usually accessed somewhere between the 11th hour and resurrection. ~ Johnnie Dent Jr.
