Just as physical exercise is a well-known and well-accepted means to improve health for anyone, regardless of age or background, so can the brain be put 'into shape' for optimal learning. ~ Naveen Jain
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Naveen Jain
How important is failure - yes, failure - to the health of a thriving, innovative business? So important that Ratan Tata, chairman of India's largest corporation, gives an annual award to the employee who comes up with the best idea that failed. ~ Naveen Jain
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Naveen Jain
Here is another example that demonstrates the tightly linked interests that both cause and treat cancer. In 1978, Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI), one of the largest companies in the world, specializing in agrochemicals and pharmaceuticals, developed the cancer drug tamoxifen. In 1985, along with the American Cancer Society, ICI founded the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month with the aim of promoting mammography as the most effective tool against breast cancer. In 1990 Imperial Chemical Industries was accused of dumping DDT and PCBs, known carcinogens, into the Long Beach and Los Angeles harbors. Zeneca, producer of tamoxifen, demerged from ICI in 1993, and later merged with Astra AB in 1999 to form AstraZeneca. Astra AB had developed the herbicide acetochlor, classified by the EPA as a probable carcinogen. In 1997 Zeneca purchased Salick Health Care, a chain of for-profit outpatient cancer clinics. Subsequently AstraZeneca launched a major publicity campaign encouraging women to assess their risk factors for breast cancer, downplaying the dangers of tamoxifen in order to create a market for its prophylactic, or chemopreventative, use and, more recently, for the breast cancer drug Arimidex (anastrozole), approved in 2002 and used as an alternative to tamoxifen (Arimidex went off patent in 2010). ~ S. Lochlann Jain
Rishika Jain Health quotes by S. Lochlann Jain
If you have the spirit of understanding everything in a positive way, you will enjoy each and every moment of life, whether it's pressure or pleasure. ~ Rishika Jain
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Rishika Jain
Forgiveness is essential to health, growth, and healing. ~ Lee L Jampolsky
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Lee L Jampolsky
I won't stop fighting to give Nevadans access to affordable health care just because my husband is a doctor, just like I won't stop standing up for veterans because my father served in World War II. ~ Shelley Berkley
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Shelley Berkley
No matter how much it gets abused, the body can restore balance. The first rule is to stop interfering with nature. ~ Deepak Chopra
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Deepak Chopra
It will not hurt either of you as long as you have health. And if that fails, God will provide for you in some way," said her father. "He is rich, and could give you more now if He saw that it would be good for you. Never forget that. ~ Elizabeth Payson Prentiss
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Elizabeth Payson Prentiss
We haven't seen the turning point yet, but we're sticking to our bottom line, for the environment and the health of the country. ~ Ma Jun
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Ma Jun
The truth is that we're drowning in busywork, nonproductive work, everything from "creative" banking and insurance bureaucracies to the pointless shuffling of data and the manufacturing of products designed to be obsolescent almost immediately- and I would argue that a great deal of what we're doing should just stop. Interestingly, people of all sorts are beginning to reconnect to skills and sensibilities that were bulldozed in the frenzy of 'development' that remade our world during the past two generations. Those orchards and fields that once covered the peninsula, the East Bay, and Silicon Valley are haunting us now, as we seek to relocalize our food sources and our economy more generally. People are relearning how to reuse things, how to fix broken items, and even how to make new things from the scraps of industrial waste. The world shaped by capitalist modernization is not good for human life and is certainly rough on the health of the planet. The hollowing out of communities whose lives were once anchored in the old Produce Market area or who shared life along the vibrant Fillmore blues corridor is precisely what people are trying to overcome. ~ Rebecca Solnit
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Rebecca Solnit
The modern fitness scene is largely defined by the presence of pumped up, muscle-bound bodybuilders, expensive exercise machines, and steroids.

It's wasn't always this ways.

There was a time when men trained to become inhumanly strong using nothing but their own bodyweight. No weights. No machines. No drugs. Nothing ~ Paul Wade
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Paul Wade
A systemic cleansing and detox is definitely the way to go after each holiday. It is the key to fighting high blood pressure, heart disease, cancer, and other health-related illnesses. ~ Lee Haney
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Lee Haney
What are you giving him?"
She grins smugly. "Only the greatest gift a woman can give the man she loves."
I take my best guess. "Anal?"
Kate covers her eyes.
Dee-Dee's smile turns into a scowl. "No
pig. I'm giving him the gift of health. My acupuncturist cleared her schedule. She's going to work on Matthew the whole day."
I laugh. Because this explains so much.
"That's your gift? Really? It's the guy's birthday and you're gonna make him get needles stuck in his face all day? What are you gonna get him for Christmas - a colonoscopy? ~ Emma Chase
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Emma Chase
Furthermore, we believe that health care reform, again I said at the beginning of my remarks, that we sent the three pillars that the President's economic stabilization and job creation initiatives were education and innovation - innovation begins in the classroom - clean energy and climate, addressing the climate issues in an innovative way to keep us number one and competitive in the world with the new technology, and the third, first among equals I may say, is health care, health insurance reform. ~ Nancy Pelosi
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Nancy Pelosi
First of all, pharmaceutical costs are the single fastest-growing part of our health care budget. ~ John Kitzhaber
Rishika Jain Health quotes by John Kitzhaber
In general, losing weight is a good thing for those who are overweight, but it's important to lose weight in a way that enhances your health rather than one that may compromise it. ~ Dean Ornish
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Dean Ornish
Jenny kissed me when we met, Jumping from the chair she sat in; Time, you thief, who love to get Sweets into your list, put that in: Say I'm weary, say I'm sad, Say that health and wealth have missed me, Say I'm growing old, but add

We are each born into a situation - a particular body (its race, sex, health ... ), a set of ancestors, a community, a nation - and born into the stories told of each of these. ~ Lewis Hyde
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Lewis Hyde
The reduction in a number of pregnancies is - compensates for the cost of contraception ... Providing contraception as a critical preventive health benefit for women and for their children reduces health care. ~ Kathleen Sebelius
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Kathleen Sebelius
OH, I LIKE smoking, I do. I smoke for my health, my mental health. Tobacco gives you little pauses, a rest from life. I don't suppose anyone smoking a pipe would have road rage, would they? ~ David Hockney
Rishika Jain Health quotes by David Hockney
The Bush Administration believes the Kyoto protocol could damage our collective prosperity, and in so doing, actually put our long-term environmental health at risk. Fundamentally, we believe that the protocol both will fail to significantly reduce the long-term risks posed by climate change and, in the short run, will seriously impede our ability to meet our energy needs and economic growth. ~ Lawrence B. Lindsey
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Lawrence B. Lindsey
My mother, writing from France, admonished me to take care of my health as she had during the war. My head could be all set for the guillotine, and still my mother would scold me for forgetting my muffler. She never missed an opportunity to try and convince me that the world is a kindly place and that she'd done a good job in conceiving me. This alleged Providence was the great subterfuge of maternal thoughtlessness. ~ Louis Ferdinand Celine
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Louis Ferdinand Celine
Mary Magdalene

With wandering eyes and aimless zeal,
She hither, thither, goes;
Her speech, her motions, all reveal
A mind without repose.

She climbs the hills, she haunts the sea,
By madness tortured, driven;
One hour's forgetfulness would be
A gift from very heaven!

She slumbers into new distress;
The night is worse than day:
Exulting in her helplessness;
Hell's dogs yet louder bay.

The demons blast her to and fro;
She has not quiet place,
Enough a woman still, to know
A haunting dim disgrace.

A human touch! a pang of death!
And in a low delight
Thou liest, waiting for new breath,
For morning out of night.

Thou risest up: the earth is fair,
The wind is cool; thou art free!
Is it a dream of hell's despair
Dissolves in ecstasy?

That man did touch thee! Eyes divine
Make sunrise in thy soul;
Thou seest love in order shine:-
His health hath made thee whole!

Thou, sharing in the awful doom,
Didst help thy Lord to die;
Then, weeping o'er his empty tomb,
Didst hear him Mary cry.

He stands in haste; he cannot stop;
Home to his God he fares:
'Go tell my brothers I go up
To my Father, mine and theirs.'

Run, Mary! lift thy heavenly voice;
Cry, cry, and heed not how;
Make all the new-risen world rejoice-

Rishika Jain Health quotes by George MacDonald
The women rest their tired half-healed hearts; they are almost
well. ~ Louise Bogan
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Louise Bogan
Did you ever think much about jobs? I mean, some of the jobs people land in? You see a guy giving haircuts to dogs, or maybe going along the curb with a shovel, scooping up horse manure. And you think, now why is the silly bastard doing that? He looks fairly bright, about as bright as anyone else. Why the hell does he do that for living?
You kind grin and look down your nose at him. You think he's nuts, know what I mean, or he doesn't have any ambition. And then you take a good look at yourself, and you stop wondering about the other guy…

You've got all your hands and feet. Your health is okay, and you make a nice appearance, and ambition-man! You've got it. You're young, I guess: you'd call thirty young, and you're strong. You don't have much education, but you've got more than plenty of other people who go to the top. And yet with all that, with all you've had to do with this is as far you've got And something tellys you, you're not going much farther if any.

And there is nothing to be done about it now, of course, but you can't stop hoping. You can't stop wondering…

…Maybe you had too much ambition. Maybe that was the trouble. You couldn't see yourself spending forty years moving from office boy to president. So you signed on with a circulation crew; you worked the magazines from one coast to another. And then you ran across a little brush deal-it sounded nice, anyway. And you worked that until you found something better, something tha ~ Jim Thompson
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Jim Thompson
There had always been people who had willingly entered into illness and madness in order to win knowledge for mankind
and knowledge, having been wrested from madness, became health and, once obtained by heroic sacrifice. its possession and use were no longer conditioned by illness and madness. That was the true death on the cross. ~ Thomas Mann
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Thomas Mann
I hated being depressed, but it was also in depression that I learned my own acreage, the full extent of my soul. ~ Andrew Solomon
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Andrew Solomon
Health care, it's going to be political. It's going to be, let's say, the confluence of the politics and the messy implementation. ~ Mark Shields
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Mark Shields
But in the early 1900s, the medical profession began to promote the health benefits of tanning. Workers were increasingly moving into factories where complexions grew pallid, as the upper classes spent more time outside playing sports. ~ Anonymous
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Anonymous
If you're healthy, if you don't get sick much, if you don't go to the doctor much or use your health insurance much, you are a genetic lottery winner. It has nothing to do with the way you live, nothing to do with doing the right things. It's just sheer luck, and you are gonna pay for that. ~ Rush Limbaugh
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Rush Limbaugh
Many people despise those who spend their health, strength and money for the salvation of others, and call them mad. And yet it is they who will save many and be saved themselves. ~ Sadhu Sundar Singh
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Sadhu Sundar Singh
Legally, Moosbrugger's case could be summed up in-a sentence. He
was one of those borderline cases in law and forensic medicine
known even to the layman as a case of diminished responsibility.
These unfortunates typically suffer not only substandard health
but also have a substandard disease, Nature has a peculiar prefer-
ence for producing such people in droves. Natura non fecit saltus,
she makes no jumps but prefers gradual transitions; even on the
grand scale she keeps the world in a transitional state between imbe-
cility and sanity. ~ Robert Musil
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Robert Musil
Every time you see your belly button, remember that your life is connected with the life of the planet, ~ Ilchi Lee
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Ilchi Lee
Where there is laughter there is always more health than sickness. ~ Phyllis Bottome
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Phyllis Bottome
Peace can only survive when fed peace. ~ Kierra C.T. Banks
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Kierra C.T. Banks
Money as such is a useful invention, making commerce possible beyond the state of barter. A moderate amount is necessary to us all-but consider :of all the things you buy , that which you buy dearest of all is money. For money you sell the hours, the days of your life, which are the only true wealth you have. You sell the sunshine, the dawn and the dusk , the moon and the stars, the wind and the rain, the green fields and the flowers, the rivers and the sweet fresh air. You sell health and joy and freedom ~ Hope L. Bourne
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Hope L. Bourne

Rishika Jain Health quotes by Jonathan Anthony Burkett
It is better to survive with the WEALTH issues rather than the HEALTH issues. ~ Samar Sudha
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Samar Sudha
By ignoring our health and consuming unhealthy products, we are unknowingly contributing to the genetic mutation of the human species. ~ Joseph P. Kauffman
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Joseph P. Kauffman
Your body can heal itself. It can do so because it has a healing system. If you are in good health, you will want to know about this system, because it is what keeps you in good health and because you can enhance that condition. If you or people you love are sick, you will want to know about this system, because it is the best hope for recovery. ~ Andrew Weil
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Andrew Weil
Once a patient goes brain dead and relatives sign his organ donation consent form, he will get the best medical treatment of his life. A hospital code blue may be a call for doctors to rush to the bedside of a beating heart cadaver who needs his or her heart defibrillated. ~ Dick Teresi
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Dick Teresi
Most of the human body disease such as Obesity, Cancer, Heart disease are linked with our food which we eat in our day to day life. If people are eating health food than how come there be more than 50% death from heart and cancer disease alone in a developed nation such as USA? ~ Subodh Gupta

What a man is: that is to say, personality, in the widest sense of the word; under which are included health, strength, beauty, temperament, moral character, intelligence, and education. ~ Arthur Schopenhauer
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Arthur Schopenhauer
Better world. Better life for everybody, every worker. Poor kids oughta be able to go anyplace their brains will take them. Not where Daddy or Mommy's pocketbooks can send them. Everybody oughta have health care, everybody oughta have some retirement security, every American. Every one. Everybody oughta have a decent good job. That's what I believe in, and that's what I fight every day to try to achieve. ~ Richard Trumka
Rishika Jain Health quotes by Richard Trumka
The pharmaceutical industry isn't the only place where there's waste and inefficiency and profiteering. That happens in much of the rest of the health care industry. ~ Marcia Angell
