It was during my study in Israel that I came to the realization that most of what I had learned in my courses in religion in the United States was outdated or in error. In order to understand what the biblical position is on any subject and, particularly on the subject of sex, one has to do it from a Hebrew perspective. ~ Roy B. Blizzard
Religion Christianity quotes by Roy B. Blizzard
The Lord is my shepherd. But if we are sheep why in heaven's name should we trust our shepherd? He's going to guard us from the wolves all right, oh yes, but only so that he can sell us later to the butcher. ~ Graham Greene
Religion Christianity quotes by Graham Greene
The Last Judgement is the Last Judgement, but a human being who spent his life in Russia, has to be, without any hesitation, placed into Paradise. ~ Joseph Brodsky
Religion Christianity quotes by Joseph Brodsky

Religion Christianity quotes by Matthew A. Petti
Every disordered soul is its own punishment. ~ St. Augustine Of Hippo
Religion Christianity quotes by St. Augustine Of Hippo
Mr. Dawkins' assertions are self-refuting- ie. Actual infinity vs. potential infinity easily makes the most reasonable argument for theism and a Deity. Now, the argument for the Creator God of Christianity requires much more time, energy, and logical effort."

~R. Alan Woods [2007] ~ R. Alan Woods
Religion Christianity quotes by R. Alan Woods
Private soul-searching is not enough to determine your call to the ministry. The judgment of the people of God must be sought; long before the time when it must be given formally it should be sought informally. ~ Edmund P. Clowney
Religion Christianity quotes by Edmund P. Clowney
Little kids I don't mind. Every kid wants a pony. It's grown-ups that get my robe in a knot. Stop with the begging, okay? Adore me for a change. Or give thanks. I like gratitude. Or ask for guidance. But oh, no. It's always the pony. ~ Ron Koertge
Religion Christianity quotes by Ron Koertge
On the other had, a desire to serve Christ in the ministry may become intense before there is evidence of the necessary gifts...If you yearn to serve Christ in the gospel ministry, that desire is surely a calling to prayer for the Spirit; likely it is also a foretaste and earnest of greater gifts in store. ~ Edmund P. Clowney
Religion Christianity quotes by Edmund P. Clowney
Christianity ... is an Eastern religion. ~ Tom Robbins
Religion Christianity quotes by Tom Robbins
I don't really know; I'm not in the Operations Room, you see. All I do know is that the world has a Chief who was victorious when the powers of darkness struck at Him with everything they had. He has the plans today. The darkness won't last forever. There's a splendor beyond.
~Flying Officer George Dymory Ingleford, Enemy Brothers ~ Constance Savery
Religion Christianity quotes by Constance Savery
Christianity is a myth that has been literalised. ~ Timothy Freke
Religion Christianity quotes by Timothy Freke
Christianity is a strangely cheery religion. ~ Flannery O'Connor
Religion Christianity quotes by Flannery O'Connor
You go to church to respect God, not the priest. By not going to church, you disrespect God, not the priest.
- Don Camillo ~ Giovannino Guareschi
Religion Christianity quotes by Giovannino Guareschi
Often, I think, thy don't believe in anything at all and they just want to prove to themselves that I don't really believe anything either. (The Vicar) ~ Helen Simonson
Religion Christianity quotes by Helen Simonson
Perhaps the True Self
and the full Christ Mystery (not the same as organized Christianity)
will always live in the backwaters of any empire and the deep mines of any religion. ~ Richard Rohr
Religion Christianity quotes by Richard Rohr
My objection to Christianity is that it is infinitely cruel, infinitely selfish, and, I might add, infinitely absurd. ~ Robert Green Ingersoll
Religion Christianity quotes by Robert Green Ingersoll
Christianity is a way of life - not a dogma! ~ Stefan Emunds
Religion Christianity quotes by Stefan Emunds
All throughout Torah, we find people looking for God, and not finding God, because God doesn't often conform to our expectations. God is somewhere other than the place we think to look. And our sages show that you can respond to God's hiddenness in many different ways. You can, like the writer of Lamentations, respond to God's hiddenness by mourning. Or, like the writer of Ecclesiastes, instead of asking where the God you thought you were looking for had gone, ask what God is like now. Or you can respond to God's hiddenness by being like Esther: if God is hiding, then you must act on God's behalf. If you look around the world and wonder where God has gone, why God isn't intervening on behalf of just and righteous causes, your very wondering may be a nudge to work in God's stead. ~ Lauren F. Winner
Religion Christianity quotes by Lauren F. Winner
Real decisions are not something we can pick up without taking time to hunt for them. ~ Jason E. Royle
Religion Christianity quotes by Jason E. Royle
I want to see people do more than simply raise their hand when they come to Christ. Where are the totally changed lives? ~ Francis Chan
Religion Christianity quotes by Francis Chan
That all may be one." We were born for these words, for unity, to contribute toward its fulfillment in the world. ~ Chiara Lubich
Religion Christianity quotes by Chiara Lubich
Jesus is bigger than any one religion. He didn't come to start a new religion, and he continually disrupted whatever conventions or systems or establishments that existed in his day. He will always transcend whatever cages and labels are created to contain and name him, especially the one called Christianity. ~ Rob Bell
Religion Christianity quotes by Rob Bell
The city of man requires idolatry. All must bow before the symbol of its total claim. Religion is tolerated when it supports the claims of the state, party, the institutional hierarchy. But those who say, "We must obey God rather than men" are always condemned as traitors or exiled as aliens. Yet the calling of Christ's kingdom no only separates a man from the world, it also sends him to the world. In this time of the kingdom we are pilgrims, for the mountain of Christ's rule is the heavenly Zion; but in the task of the kingdom we are ambassadors, for we have been sent by the King to proclaim his terms of peace to his rebellious realm. ~ Edmund P. Clowney
Religion Christianity quotes by Edmund P. Clowney
Gods fight, Ragnar went on earnestly, and some win, some lose. The Christian god is losing. Otherwise why would we be here? Why would we be winning? The gods reward us if we give them respect, but the Christian god doesn't help his people, does he? They weep rivers of tears for him, they pray to him, they give him their silver, & we come along & slaughter them! Their god is pathetic. If he had any real power then we wouldn't be here, would we? ~ Bernard Cornwell
Religion Christianity quotes by Bernard Cornwell
There's no greater revelation of a people's religion than the egoistic and antagonistic nature they depict when trying to reach out. ~ TinMasun
Religion Christianity quotes by TinMasun
A religion that costs nothing is worth nothing. A cheap Christianity, without a cross, will prove in the end a useless Christianity, without a crown. ~ J.C. Ryle
Religion Christianity quotes by J.C. Ryle
One act of kindness teaches more about the love of Jesus than the words I speak. ~ Hector Perez
Religion Christianity quotes by Hector Perez
Islam began as a tribal religion, whereas Christianity began more as an individual or family religion. Christianity struck out from Palestine, converting one person or one family at a time. After the initial successes and conquests by Mohammed and his tribe, conversions were as much military as spiritual. Mohammed was both a political and military genius and used his success and charisma to convince the superstitious tribes around him that he had Allah on his side. As such, the sword was the instrument of persuasion. ~ Darrel Ray
Religion Christianity quotes by Darrel Ray
One revelation has been made to the Indian, another to the white man. ~ Henry David Thoreau
Religion Christianity quotes by Henry David Thoreau
How do you tell one You've spoken with God? / Would you believe someone / Who said that they saw / Plans for a boat / To hold all the beasts / And you and your kids From a flood to retreat? ~ Brian M. Boyce
Religion Christianity quotes by Brian M. Boyce
Christianity remains to this day the greatest misfortune of humanity. ~ Friedrich Nietzsche
Religion Christianity quotes by Friedrich Nietzsche
Dialectics is Satan's favorite tool. ~ Stefan Boldisor
Religion Christianity quotes by Stefan Boldisor
In the process of replacing the old religions, Christianity became a religion. ~ Alexander Schmemann
Religion Christianity quotes by Alexander Schmemann
God against man. Man against God. Man against nature. Nature against man. Nature against God. God against nature. Very funny religion! ~ D.T. Suzuki
Religion Christianity quotes by D.T. Suzuki
The Bible is a fountain of life, an instruction on how God want you to live a life on earth. ~ Lailah Gifty Akita
Religion Christianity quotes by Lailah Gifty Akita
..the description of the ministry as a ministry of the word refers to the content of the message rather than the manner of its presentation. That is to say, the Christian minister is called to minister Christ Himself as the eternal Word incarnate for us men and for our salvation. The focus of attention is not preaching or teaching as such; otherwise a false importance is give to the spoken word of Man. It is the theme and content of preaching and teaching. By means of the ministry Christ Himself is handed over to others to be received and then passed on by them as God's own Word of revelation and redemption. Secondarily, the ministry of the word refers to the ministry of the prophetic and apostolic testimony to Jesus Christ, the true and incarnate Word. That is to say, the Christian minister is called to pass on to others that which is attested concerning Jesus Christ by the forward-looking witness of the Old Testament and the backward-looking witness of the New. ~ G. W. Bromiley
Religion Christianity quotes by G. W. Bromiley
The moment we care for anything deeply, the world - that is, all the other miscellaneous interests - becomes our enemy. Christians showed it when they talked of keeping one's self "unspotted from the world;" but lovers talk of it just as much when they talk of the "world well lost." Astronomically speaking, I understand that England is situated on the world; similarly, I suppose that the Church was a part of the world, and even the lovers inhabitants of that orb. But they all felt a certain truth - the truth that the moment you love anything the world becomes your foe. ~ G.K. Chesterton
Religion Christianity quotes by G.K. Chesterton
. . .the young man who rings the bell at the brothel is unconsciously looking for God. ~ Bruce Marshall
Religion Christianity quotes by Bruce Marshall
So a good man can be a bad Christian?"
"I suppose so."
"Then a bad man," I said, "can be a good Christian? ~ Bernard Cornwell
Religion Christianity quotes by Bernard Cornwell
Principles are what people have instead of God.
To be a Christian means among other things to be willing if necessary to sacrifice even your highest principles for God's or your neighbour's sake the way a Christian pacifist must be willing to pick up a baseball bat if there's no other way to stop a man from savagely beating a child.
Jesus didn't forgive his executioners on principle but because in some unimaginable way he was able to love them.
'Principle' is an even duller word than 'Religion'. ~ Frederick Buechner
Religion Christianity quotes by Frederick Buechner
The test of a man's conversion is whether he has enough Christianity to get it to other people. If he hasn't, there is something wrong. ~ Sam Shoemaker
Religion Christianity quotes by Sam Shoemaker
Only the Christian religion, which in its essence is communicated by the eternal child of God, keeps alive in its believers the lifelong awareness of their being children, and therefore of having to ask and give thanks for things. ~ Hans Urs Von Balthasar
Religion Christianity quotes by Hans Urs Von Balthasar
It is between fifty and sixty years since I read it (i.e. the Book of Revelations), and I then considered it merely the ravings of a maniac, no more worthy nor capable of explanation than the incoherence of our own nightly dreams. ~ Thomas Jefferson
Religion Christianity quotes by Thomas Jefferson
Evangelical Christianity, as everyone knows, is founded upon hate, as the Christianity of Christ was founded upon love. ~ H.L. Mencken
Religion Christianity quotes by H.L. Mencken
Man came first through evolution. God came second through man's imagination. ~ Joey Lawsin
Religion Christianity quotes by Joey Lawsin
Last, we may suppose that it gave pleasure both to relate and to hear wonderful stories, because such is human nature; and the pleasure can be increased, at least till the point of incredulity is reached, by exaggerating the wonderful. So some real happening at the base of an account may be reconstructed by shrinking the account down to the physically possible. ~ Ramsay MacMullen
Religion Christianity quotes by Ramsay MacMullen
The Enlightenment attacked religion - Christianity, mainly - for two reasons: that it was a set of ideological delusions, and that it was a system of institutional oppression, with immense powers of persecution and intolerance. ~ Tariq Ali
Religion Christianity quotes by Tariq Ali
I fail to see where it would have been more uplifting for them to have been inside a church listening to a man urging them to 'contemplate the sufferings of our Lord,' which is just another way of punishing one's self for nothing. It is very much better for them to climb the rocks in their bare clean feet and meet Him face to face in their search for the eternal in beauty. ~ Zora Neale Hurston
Religion Christianity quotes by Zora Neale Hurston
The brutal fact is that in this Christian country not one person in a hundred has the faintest notion what the Church teaches about God or man or society or the person of Jesus Christ. ~ Dorothy L. Sayers
Religion Christianity quotes by Dorothy L. Sayers
If you want to know whether God exists, all you have to do is define the word 'exist'. ~ Bill Gaede
Religion Christianity quotes by Bill Gaede
Fundamentalism is not motivated by fear. It is motivated by conviction. ~ Curtis A. Chamberlain
Religion Christianity quotes by Curtis A. Chamberlain
Don't fight a battle that Jesus has already won the victory for! ~ Kathy McClary
Religion Christianity quotes by Kathy McClary
It was through the Hindu religion that I learnt to respect Christianity and Islam. ~ Mahatma Gandhi
Religion Christianity quotes by Mahatma Gandhi
Sexuality is more a symptom of your life's condition than a cause, more a consequence than an origin. ~ Rosaria Champagne Butterfield
Religion Christianity quotes by Rosaria Champagne Butterfield
The Church of England is the only church in the world that interferes neither with your politics nor your religion ~ Anthony Trollope
Religion Christianity quotes by Anthony Trollope
Most often the presence of such gifts of the Spirit creates a desire for their exercise. By them a man is drawn to the Word, to Christ, to men. For this reason a deep and sincere desire to enter the ministry is the commonest evidence of the Lord's calling. It is no sure criterion, however, for the gifts and desire are not always joined. ~ Edmund P. Clowney
Religion Christianity quotes by Edmund P. Clowney
I have been crucified with Christ and Christ lives in me. I live by faith in the Son of God, who loves me and gave Himself for me." Gal 2:20 ~ Anonymous
Religion Christianity quotes by Anonymous
The government of the United States is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion. ~ George Washington
Religion Christianity quotes by George Washington
What a solace Christianity must be to one who has an undoubted conviction of its truth! ~ Napoleon Bonaparte
Religion Christianity quotes by Napoleon Bonaparte
Religion is a cultural relic inherited from ancient civilizations that doctrinal influence persists globally in modern times. Religious people rely upon their notional belief in the primal innocence of human beings in order to support the abstract supposition of inherently benevolent God guiding human souls. ~ Kilroy J. Oldster
Religion Christianity quotes by Kilroy J. Oldster
The Way is not a religion: Christianity is the end of religion. 'Religion' means here the division between sacred and secular concerns, other-worldliness, man's reaching toward God in a way which projects his own thoughts. ~ David Kirk
Religion Christianity quotes by David Kirk
She always imagined the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, and Blessed Mother as points of light in the center of her heart, and as she prayed, the light expanded, flowing through her body and soul, smoothing away knots of guilt and sorrow and fear until her whole being glowed with harmony. ~ Mary Jo Putney
Religion Christianity quotes by Mary Jo Putney
Once upon a time all the men of mind and genius in the world became of one belief- that is to say, of no belief. But it wearied them to think that within a few years after their death many cults and systems and prognostications would be ascribed to them which they had never...intended. So they said to one another: "Let's join together and make a great book that will last forever that will mock the credulity of man...We'll include all the most preposterous old wives' tales now current. We'll choose the keenest satirist alive to compile a deity from all the deities worshipped by mankind, a deity who will be more magnificent than any of them, yet so weakly human that he'll become a byword for laughter the world over- and we'll ascribe to him all sorts of jokes and vanities and rages, in which he'll be supposed to indulge for his own diversion, so that the people will read our book and ponder it, and there'll be no more nonsense in the world. ~ F. Scott Fitzgerald
Religion Christianity quotes by F. Scott Fitzgerald
All sorts of darkness and evil are now hiding themselves under the umbrella of religion, Christianity, church etc. ~ Sunday Adelaja
Religion Christianity quotes by Sunday Adelaja
Christianity is not about religion. It's about faith, about being held, about being forgiven. It's about finding joy and finding home. ~ Bear Grylls
Religion Christianity quotes by Bear Grylls
Christianity rejects tolerance and demands choice, wherein lies its greatest flaw - one of a multitude of contradictions found throughout the Bible and the historical doctrine of the Church. ~ Aaron B. Powell
Religion Christianity quotes by Aaron B. Powell
Religion is for those who are without the pure knowledge of the Almighty true God- Jehovah the Creator of the Heavens and the earth..it is also for those who are ignorant of the fact of who God is and are neither founded in Him nor allign themselves to His righteous standards...but are lovers of sins and every acts and pleasures that does not glorify Him. Christianity is not a religion and will never be. It is a relationship consisting of our being in unity with Jesus Christ and with others...tuned and under the banner of Christ-likeness, upholding justice and righteousness. ~ Taitusi Williams Savou
Religion Christianity quotes by Taitusi Williams Savou
It was a mark of Constantine's political genius and flexibility that he realized it was better to utilize a religion(Christianity) that already had a well-established structure of authority as a prop to the imperial regime rather than exclude it as a hindrance. ~ Charles Freeman
Religion Christianity quotes by Charles Freeman
We are all born free from all religious affiliations and only come to believe in such things after being introduced to it ― so, atheism is the default position. Although some children are not indoctrinated with a specific religion before the age of reason, there are many more who are. ~ David G. McAfee
Religion Christianity quotes by David G. McAfee
This will be my last year, Lord. I have gotten what I can. Thank You. ~ Beth Nimmo
Religion Christianity quotes by Beth Nimmo
The Mosaic religion had been a Father religion; Christianity became a Son religion. The old God, the Father, took second place; Christ, the Son, stood in His stead, just as in those dark times every son had longed to do. ~ Sigmund Freud
Religion Christianity quotes by Sigmund Freud
The church must change, Brother,' Gheorg had said one day long ago, back when they were still theology students at the University of Leipzig. Christian faith cannot be the tool of a monarch who sells God's pardon in exchange for money and power. Our Lord speaks to ALL men, Mathias. The Church must be a place where all men can meet and pray, not a place where they must submit to the power of other men. God's word must reach everyone equally. ~ Riccardo Bruni
Religion Christianity quotes by Riccardo Bruni
I always tell my Western friends that it is best to keep your own tradition. Changing religion is not easy and sometimes causes confusion. You must value your tradition and honor your own religion. ~ Dalai Lama XIV
Religion Christianity quotes by Dalai Lama XIV
The world will not change by our position in the Universe. Actions change when beliefs change; collective actions and beliefs change the world. ~ Matthew A. Petti
Religion Christianity quotes by Matthew A. Petti
Make no mistake, sin has been dealt with once for all, and we are as close to Him as we will ever be. ~ D.R. Silva
Religion Christianity quotes by D.R. Silva
I see the necessity of preaching a full and present salvation from all sin. ~ John Wesley
Religion Christianity quotes by John Wesley
Seminary is for men who are seriously considering the ministry; it is a place where a man may test his gifts and calling in the service of the Word...Uncertainty about a call to the ministry may indicate with certainty a call to theological training. Even when God does not call a man to pastoral work, he often leads through seminary study to other ministries of teaching and to informed leadership in the work of the church. ~ Edmund P. Clowney
Religion Christianity quotes by Edmund P. Clowney
Natural" is a very dangerous word to use about sexuality ... Our society's notions of normality are completely fake and meta-trendy, since they rely on the changing standards of superstition, religion, Christianity and gender bias to define themselves. Americans, in particular, exhibit very childish reactions to sexual practices that are new to them, much like little kids who are offered a vegetable they haven't seen before: "That's disgusting!" "But darling, you haven't even tried it!" "I don't care, I hate it, I hate it! ~ Susie Bright
Religion Christianity quotes by Susie Bright
. . .[W]e have all been blind. We are only beginning to see. . . . ~ C.S. Lewis
Religion Christianity quotes by C.S. Lewis
But in order to have an adult faith, most of us have to outgrow and unlearn much of what we were taught about religion. ~ Kathleen Norris
Religion Christianity quotes by Kathleen Norris
Whoever says, 'You fool,' shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell.
Matthew 5:22 ~ Anonymous
Religion Christianity quotes by Anonymous
In requiring this candor and simplicity of mind in those who would investigate the truth of our religion, Christianity demands nothing more than is readily conceded to every branch of human science. ~ Simon Greenleaf
Religion Christianity quotes by Simon Greenleaf
I fully intend to preach the word of God to you until there's a difference between how you walk out of here and how you walked in here. ~ T.D. Jakes
Religion Christianity quotes by T.D. Jakes
Christ's suffering was redemptive not because suffering itself is redemptive, but because Christ himself is the Redeemer ~ Edmund P. Clowney
Religion Christianity quotes by Edmund P. Clowney
Listen, God is not some little genie or a vending machine.
And is not just worth it because he makes your life all better, but He's with you.
God wants so much more for your life than fine ~ Jim Britts
Religion Christianity quotes by Jim Britts
He first teaches us the power of always trying again. ~ C.S. Lewis
Religion Christianity quotes by C.S. Lewis
Now, I think we can all agree that fear is a motivator. The problem is that fear can motivate us to do the wrong things, too. Fear can make the "saving of our skins" the priority, as it does in this case involving religious pluralism. ~ Curtis A. Chamberlain
Religion Christianity quotes by Curtis A. Chamberlain
Is it hot in here? I'm sweating like a Christian in science class. ~ Aaron B. Powell
Religion Christianity quotes by Aaron B. Powell
It is only by loving others that we can learn to live; living is rare nowadays ... most people survive; that is all. ~ Sandra Chami Kassis
Religion Christianity quotes by Sandra Chami Kassis
His lips may say the words, but his heart adds, But please don't let it be yet. ~ C.S. Lewis
Religion Christianity quotes by C.S. Lewis
[I]n addition to being a Spirit person, healer, and wisdom teacher, Jesus was a social prophet. There was passion in his language. Many of his sayings (as well as actions) challenged the domination system of his day. They take on pointed meaning when we see them in the context of social criticism of a peasant society. His criticisms of the wealthy were an indictment of the social class at the top of the domination system. His prophetic threats against Jerusalem and the temple were not because they were the center of an "old religion" (Judaism) soon to be replaced by a new religion (Christianity) but because they were the center of the domination system. His criticism of lawyers, scribes, and Pharisees was not because they were unvirtuous individuals but because commitment to the elites led them to see the social order through elite lenses.

Jesus rejected the sharp social boundaries of the established social order and challenged the institutions that legitimated it. In his teaching, he subverted distinctions between righteous and sinner, rich and poor, men and women, Pharisee and outcasts. In his healings and behavior, he crossed social boundaries of purity, gender, and class. In his meal practice, central to what he was about, he embodied a boundary-subverting inclusiveness.

In his itinerancy he rejected the notion of a brokered kingdom of God and enacted the immediacy of access to God apart from institutional mediation. His prophetic act against the mon ~ Marcus J. Borg
Religion Christianity quotes by Marcus J. Borg
I was getting tired about what the preacher called Christian. Anything he did was Christian, and the people in his church believed it, too. If he stole some book he didn't like from the library, or made the radio station play only part of the day on Sunday, or took somebody off to the state poor home, he called it Christian. I never had much religious training, and I never went to Sunday school because we didn't belong to the church when I was old enough to go, but I thought I knew what believing in Christ meant, and it wasn't half the things the preacher did. ~ John Kennedy Toole
Religion Christianity quotes by John Kennedy Toole
Allow me to sum it up this way; if the Church allows this secular humanistic "social gospel" into its hallowed halls, then it is putting its very existence at risk, for it will subject itself to the government. And the Church must be subject to Christ
not the government. ~ Curtis A. Chamberlain
Religion Christianity quotes by Curtis A. Chamberlain
The English word Atonement comes from the ancient Hebrew word kaphar, which means to cover. When Adam and Eve partook of the fruit and discovered their nakedness in the Garden of Eden, God sent Jesus to make coats of skins to cover them. Coats of skins don't grow on trees. They had to be made from an animal, which meant an animal had to be killed. Perhaps that was the very first animal sacrifice. Because of that sacrifice, Adam and Eve were covered physically. In the same way, through Jesus' sacrifice we are also covered emotionally and spiritually. When Adam and Eve left the garden, the only things they could take to remind them of Eden were the coats of skins. The one physical thing we take with us out of the temple to remind us of that heavenly place is a similar covering. The garment reminds us of our covenants, protects us, and even promotes modesty. However, it is also a powerful and personal symbol of the Atonement - a continuous reminder both night and day that because of Jesus' sacrifice, we are covered. (I am indebted to Guinevere Woolstenhulme, a religion teacher at BYU, for insights about kaphar.)

Jesus covers us (see Alma 7) when we feel worthless and inadequate. Christ referred to himself as "Alpha and Omega" (3 Nephi 9:18). Alpha and omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet. Christ is surely the beginning and the end. Those who study statistics learn that the letter alpha is used to represent the level of significance in a research ~ Brad Wilcox
Religion Christianity quotes by Brad Wilcox
Our Creator has always known of us and has always loved us. ~ Michael Mannia
Religion Christianity quotes by Michael Mannia
Christianity is completed Judaism or it is nothing. ~ Benjamin Disraeli
Religion Christianity quotes by Benjamin Disraeli
We are going to make mistakes no matter what, so it's better to be strong in faith despite our mistakes than weak in faith because of them. ~ Alisa Hope Wagner
Religion Christianity quotes by Alisa Hope Wagner
While the stoning of children for heresy has fallen out of fashion in our country, you will not hear a moderate Christian or Jew arguing for a "symbolic" reading of passages of this sort. [ ... ] it is only by ignoring such barbarisms that the Good Book can be reconciled with life in the modern world. This is a problem for "moderation" in religion: it has nothing underwriting it other than the unacknowledged neglect of the letter of the divine law. ~ Sam Harris
Religion Christianity quotes by Sam Harris
It is a wicked sophistry to justify the worldliness of the Church by the cross of Christ. ~ Dietrich Bonhoeffer
Religion Christianity quotes by Dietrich Bonhoeffer
