A woman is like a universe; there are many things that even she still needs to discover about herself. Men on the other hand are miners, which means they are in a better position to uncover, perceive and appreciate things about women that they themselves have not yet come to the full realization of. Men know more about women than they can tell (it's for their own safety that they keep their mouths shut and pretend like they don't know anything, lest they get slammed for claming to know anything at all about women in the first place). Sadly, women are losing out on a wealth of knowledge and understanding about themselves by debunking men's ideas and notions about them especially when it comes to their femininity and sensuality. I think there is a need for women to start gently and safely asking men what they 'inherently' know about their femininity. I'm not a chauvinist nor a proponent for men's rights, but I strongly believe that men hold the keys to a lot of treasure chests that most women are daily striving to open up. Perhaps you should start inviting your man to get a little bit more involved in your feminine/sensual journey. It's only a suggestion... ~ Lebo Grand
Proponent quotes by Lebo Grand
I am not a proponent of the death penalty, but I will enforce the law as this Congress gives it to us. ~ Eric Holder
Proponent quotes by Eric Holder
The President has been a big proponent of the public option since the campaign. ~ Valerie Jarrett
Proponent quotes by Valerie Jarrett
That's why I'm a proponent of collaboration. It's not because working together feels good. If it felt good and the results were mediocre, then collaboration wouldn't be worth the effort. Collaboration is valuable because it helps us transcend our individual limits and create something greater than ourselves. ~ Bob Sullo
Proponent quotes by Bob Sullo
My mother was an English teacher before she became a full-time mom, and a huge proponent of reading, so she made sure I was an early and vigorous reader. ~ Matt Wagner
Proponent quotes by Matt Wagner
I have been a strong proponent of pay-as-you-go. Every dollar that I've proposed, I've proposed an additional cut so that it matches. ~ Barack Obama
Proponent quotes by Barack Obama
Andres Segovia, the great name for guitar, he put classical guitar on the map. He was the proponent of it, the best in the world. So I was listening to a record that he had made, and a little bauble happened in the middle of the record. A finger slipped, and I said, 'Wait a minute. He's not allowed to make mistakes,' - my mind. ~ George Benson
Proponent quotes by George Benson
Insofar as the genocide embodied in residential schooling arises as an integral aspect of colonialism, then colonialism must be seen as constituting that source ... To be in any way an apologist for colonialism is to be an active proponent of genocide. ~ Ward Churchill
Proponent quotes by Ward Churchill
All this has been very formative in both my research and my teaching, so I value it enormously in my life. It's why I'm a strong proponent of general education
because I saw how it opened my eyes. ~ Paul Rozin
Proponent quotes by Paul Rozin
I'm a big proponent of Hawk-Eye. I think it's a wonderful addition, not only for the players, but more importantly for the fans. ~ Jim Courier
Proponent quotes by Jim Courier
I'm not an enormous proponent of plot as a reader. It's about other things; my reading has become specialized over the years. ~ Patrick DeWitt
Proponent quotes by Patrick DeWitt
The presidency of the United Nations was not thrust upon me overnight. I had to grow up to the measurements it demanded of a proponent of peace. This was done session by session, step by step. It entailed trips halfway around the world, again and again. It demanded nights without sleep, studying, writing, poring over documents; days without rest; and always the curb on the temper and the willingness to give and to receive. ~ Carlos P. Romulo
Proponent quotes by Carlos P. Romulo
I'm a big proponent of accountability. ~ Jonathan Klein
Proponent quotes by Jonathan Klein
I am a giant proponent of giant screens. But I accept the fact that most of my movies are going to be seen on phones. ~ George Lucas
Proponent quotes by George Lucas
Idea-Advocacy Matrix highlights a couple of things: that good ideas need to be "sold" if they are ever going to see the light of day and bad ideas sometimes do quite well because of the skills of the proponent to sell them. ~ John Daly
Proponent quotes by John Daly
Saturday evening, on a quiet lazy afternoon, I went to watch a bullfight in Las Ventas, one of Madrid's most famous bullrings. I went there out of curiosity. I had long been haunted by the image of the matador with its custom made torero suit, embroidered with golden threads, looking spectacular in his "suit of light" or traje de luces as they call it in Spain. I was curious to see the dance of death unfold in front of me, to test my humanity in the midst of blood and gold, and to see in which state my soul will come out of the arena, whether it will be shaken and stirred, furious and angry, or a little bit aware of the life embedded in every death. Being an avid fan of Hemingway, and a proponent of his famous sentence "About morals, I know only that what is moral is what you feel good after and what is immoral is what you feel bad after," I went there willingly to test myself. I had heard atrocities about bullfighting yet I had this immense desire to be part of what I partially had an inclination to call a bloody piece of cultural experience. As I sat there, in front of the empty arena, I felt a grandiose feeling of belonging to something bigger than anything I experienced during my stay in Spain. Few minutes and I'll be witnessing a painting being carefully drawn in front of me, few minutes and I will be part of an art form deeply entrenched in the Spanish cultural heritage: the art of defying death. But to sit there, and to watch the bull enter the arena… To watch one bull ~ Malak El Halabi
Proponent quotes by Malak El Halabi
I am a democrat [proponent of democracy] because I believe in the Fall of Man.
I think most people are democrats for the opposite reason. A great deal of democratic enthusiasm descends from the ideas of people like Rousseau, who believed in democracy because they thought mankind so wise and good that every one deserved a share in the government.
The danger of defending democracy on those grounds is that they're not true ... I find that they're not true without looking further than myself. I don't deserve a share in governing a hen-roost. Much less a nation ...
The real reason for democracy is just the reverse. Mankind is so fallen that no man can be trusted with unchecked power over his fellows. Aristotle said that some people were only fit to be slaves. I do not contradict him. But I reject slavery because I see no men fit to be masters. ~ C.S. Lewis
Proponent quotes by C.S. Lewis
I've just always been a proponent of having a lot of diversity in the shows I've done. I just think that's the world we live in. ~ Robert Greenblatt
Proponent quotes by Robert Greenblatt
I'm a huge proponent of exchanges, student exchanges, cultural exchanges, university exchanges. We talk a lot about public diplomacy, .. It's extremely important that we get our message out, but it's also the case that we should not have a monologue with other people. It has to be a conversation, and you can't do that without exchanges and openness. ~ Condoleezza Rice
Proponent quotes by Condoleezza Rice
The bureaucracy is not great. I don't think Rick Santorum who is not one for being a big proponent of large bureaucracies would be as enthusiastic a supporter of it. ~ Harold Ford, Jr.
Proponent quotes by Harold Ford, Jr.
I am and have always been a strong proponent of public education. But by the virtue of its very nature - publicly funded schools cannot offer the type of spiritual education that Catholic schools have long provided. ~ Mark Foley
Proponent quotes by Mark Foley

Proponent quotes by Asa Don Brown
I have long been a proponent of a guest-worker program between the United States and Mexico, and in particular I have proposed that Arizona would be an ideal location for a pilot project. ~ Janet Napolitano
Proponent quotes by Janet Napolitano
There's no quit in our family. Our dad was the chief proponent of that. [On the set] we were constantly telling each other, Stay true to the story, we know that we love each other, keep communication open. We knew how unique this was-you're doing a movie that really could be put out there all over the world, and you're telling this personal story about your family. ~ Andrew Shue
Proponent quotes by Andrew Shue
Adam Smith was not the proponent of any one class. He was a slave to his system. His whole economic philosophy stemmed from his unquestioning faith in the ability of the market to guide the system to its point of highest return. The market-that wonderful social machine-would take care of society's needs if it was left alone. Don't try to do good, says Smith. Let good emerge as the by-product of selfishness. ~ Robert Heilbroner
Proponent quotes by Robert Heilbroner
I'm a proponent of single-payer health-care, public education, protecting the environment - all the things Democrats rally around. ~ Cynthia Dill
Proponent quotes by Cynthia Dill
You know that I'm always a proponent of doing things differently. ~ Roger Goodell
Proponent quotes by Roger Goodell
The first proponent of cortical memory networks on a major scale was neither a neuroscientist nor a computer scientist but .. a Viennes economist: Friedrich von Hayek (1899-1992). A man of exceptionally broad knowledge and profound insight into the operation of complex systems, Hayek applied such insight with remarkable success to economics (Nobel Prize, 1974), sociology, political science, jurisprudence, evolutionary theory, psychology, and brain science (Hayek, 1952). ~ Joaquin Fuster
Proponent quotes by Joaquin Fuster
In respect to Drower, and still more with Biruni and his medieval contemporaries, I am reminded of the praise given to Sir William Jones, the proponent of the idea that European and Indian languages had one common source. 'Blessed are the peacemakers,' commented political economist James Anderson, 'who by painful researches, tend to remove those destructive veils which have so long concealed mankind from each other. ~ Gerard Russell
Proponent quotes by Gerard Russell
For mysterious things of faith, rely on the proponent, Heaven's authority. ~ John Dryden
Proponent quotes by John Dryden
Just as there are those who accept every UFO report at face value, there are also those who dismiss the idea of alien visitation out of hand and with great passion. It is, they say, unnecessary to examine the evidence, and "unscientific" even to contemplate the issue. I once helped to organize a public debate at the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science between proponent and opponent scientists of the proposition that some UFOs were spaceships; whereupon a distinguished physicist, whose judgment in many other matters I respected, threatened to sic the Vice President of the United States on me if I persisted in this madness. (Nevertheless, the debate was held and published, the issues were a little better clarified, and I did not hear from Spiro T. Agnew.) ~ Carl Sagan
Proponent quotes by Carl Sagan
Dad phoned to wish us happy anniversary, and I picked up the phone and I was going to play it cool, but then I started crying when I started talking - I was doing the awful chick talk-cry: mwaha-waah-gwwahh-and-waaa-wa - so I had to tell him what happened, and he told me I should open a bottle of wine and wallow in it for a bit. Dad is always a proponent of a good indulgent sulk. Still, Nick will be angry that I told Rand, and of course Rand will do his fatherly thing, pat Nick on the shoulder and say, "Heard you had some emergency drinking to do on your anniversary, Nicky." And chuckle. So Nick will know, and he will be angry with me because he wants my parents to believe he's perfect - he beams when I tell them stories about what a flawless son-in-law he is. Except for tonight. I know, I know, I'm being a girl. ~ Gillian Flynn
Proponent quotes by Gillian Flynn
I am a big proponent of adopting dogs through shelters and rescue operations. Having dogs in the office might not be right for everyone, but it has certainly worked well for me. My advice to other offices, on the Hill and off, would be to try it out. ~ Linda Sanchez
Proponent quotes by Linda Sanchez
Consumption can be very harmful to the world. I'm not a big proponent of the idea that consumption makes you morally bad, but there are consequences to our acts, and those consequences are environmental degradation and the huge social inequalities that make our standard of living in the United States possible. ~ Judith Levine
Proponent quotes by Judith Levine
I have been a strong proponent of helping people understand that during the last decade or so, as it lies at the very bottom of how we know anything. Let me give a couple examples to get that point across. ~ Edgar Mitchell
Proponent quotes by Edgar Mitchell
So what? Why should an a priori proof of the libertarian property theory make any difference? Why not engage in aggression anyway?" Why indeed?! But then, why should the proof that 1+1=2 make any difference? One certainly can still act on the belief that 1+1=3. The obvious answer is "because a propositional justification exists for doing one thing, but not for doing another." But why should we be reasonable, is the next come-back. Again, the answer is obvious. For one, because it would be impossible to argue against it; and further, because the proponent raising this question would already affirm the use of reason in his act of questioning it. This still might not suffice and everyone knows that it would not, for even if the libertarian ethic and argumentative reasoning must be regarded as ultimately justified, this still does not preclude that people will act on the basis of unjustified beliefs either because they don't know, they don't care, or they prefer not to know. I fail to see why this should be surprising or make the proof somehow defective. ~ Hans-Hermann Hoppe
Proponent quotes by Hans-Hermann Hoppe
The innovator is not an opponent of the old, but a proponent of the new. ~ Lyle E. Schaller
Proponent quotes by Lyle E. Schaller
"I've always been a proponent of "if you're going to do something, do it right." I applied that across all aspects of my shooting - planning, setting up shoots, getting up early, working with athletes and models, working with clients etc. Just being a pro about it." ~ Jimmy Chin
Proponent quotes by Jimmy Chin
It's troubling to see how often Winston Churchill is a proponent of massive programs that are really aimed at civilians - starvation blockades and chemical warfare stockpiles and so on. ~ Nicholson Baker
Proponent quotes by Nicholson Baker
I've always been a proponent of the idea that technology doesn't matter to game design. The example I always like to point out is 'Tetris,' one of the greatest games ever made. ~ Tim Schafer
Proponent quotes by Tim Schafer
Everyone is a proponent of strong encryption. ~ Dorothy Denning
Proponent quotes by Dorothy Denning
I am a big proponent of writing a great outline. That way you can avoid hitting a roadblock. There is no worse feeling than writing yourself into a corner but if you've figured it all out in the outline then you won't have that problem. ~ Michael Showalter
Proponent quotes by Michael Showalter
Churchill's 2,054 page book "Second World War" makes no mention of genocide or the murder of Jews. Coincidentally, Churchill was a strong proponent of eugenic legislation prior to the outbreak of WWII. ~ A.E. Samaan

Proponent quotes by David Halberstam

Proponent quotes by Ambrose Bierce
Sometimes a movie series that becomes popular can be a blessing and curse because you get known for that. People don't give you a chance, after that ... I'm a big proponent of getting somebody that you always admire and giving them a chance to do something else because they can redefine themselves. ~ Robert Rodriguez
Proponent quotes by Robert Rodriguez

Proponent quotes by Rachel Roy
Here's a nation, one of the founding pillars was freedom of speech and freedom of expression. And yet, we have imposed upon people restrictions on what they can say, on what they can think. And the media is the largest proponent of this, crucifying people who say things really quite innocently. ~ Ben Carson
Proponent quotes by Ben Carson
So it was a win-win all the way around. It was an amazing moment, not only for myself and the team behind the film, but for DTS and for John Lasseter. He was always a big fan. He was a proponent, a supporter of the whole thing, and it just worked out. ~ Klay Hall

I am no proponent of a theocracy. I am a secularist. I want an independent Iraqi government, not a lackey of Tehran. ~ Ayad Allawi
Proponent quotes by Ayad Allawi
Just saying "celibacy is the solution" doesn't make it so. People have to be able to do it. Paul, a huge proponent of celibacy, knew this. The difficulty that divorced people have maintaining lifelong celibacy was part of the pastoral dilemma that forced us to take a closer look at our very restrictive policies regarding remarriage, policies that most contemporary pastors are unfamiliar with because it was the controversy of an earlier era. ~ Ken Wilson
Proponent quotes by Ken Wilson
